Hello Indie Game Lovers, Nerds and Nerdettes my name is Feniks and this is the Indie Game

News.

Today we look at Tycoon genre.

Please take your time and stay focused for next few minutes as always you can find all

Let me just quickly start off by wishing you all Happy New Year and hope you have a great

year ahead.

From myself my kids finally are both in school and nursery so I will have more time to record

more videos initially I will aim for consistent video each Saturday Morning of UK time.

Without further delay here are the latest news from past month.

Prison Architect have seen a latest update to the game.

Over 2 years since it's full time release and game still gets updated many Early Access

titles could learn a lot from that.

Game introduces Warden Mode a bit of a mix between escape mode and regular game.

You play as your own avatar the warden you will face all the risk of being on the grounds

including potential death from the hands of displeased prisoners.

You will be able to issue all the building commands and tell your workers where to place

facilities but will be limited by fog of war effect.

Meaning you can only see what surround your avatar and nothing else.

You will be able to protect yourself by equipping armour, weapons and recruiting bodyguards

to ensure your visits on the grounds don't end up in early death.

Main mode will see some additions and changes as well.

We will see floor signage.

You can create routes for your prisoners and staff to follow to better manage traffic flow

in your prisons.

We will see addition to modding support, balance changes particularly around education and

work limitations.

We will also see some minor bug fixes.

Additionally Prison Architect is currently 75% off in winter sale so it may be great

time to grab it.

Mashinky has seen 3rd era added to the game.

We will see addition of diesel and crude oil as well as their products and goods.

We will see addition of 6 new wagons dedicated to transport of those items.

Addition of oil wells, refineries and factories and their extensions.

With update there are some changes to the way game runs.

Town growth is now affected by the availability of services such as mail and goods.

We will see addition of town shop, support for placing industry,headquarters.

Finally obviously we will see addition of new engines, building sounds and quests.

Update also comes with bunch of bug fixes and optimisation changes.

Rise to Industry is back with Alpha 4.

We will see the first iteration of career mode which involves the all-new player specialisation

and tech tree focused on player progression.

Developers have added Boats: A slow but high-capacity transport alternative to the game.

We will see new influence system that will affect the way town perceives your organisation

it will affect prices and can cut you off from trading all together.

Maps will now be separated into regions and you will require new permits to expand to

new region and be able to build there.

Apart of that we will see new models, new industry - copper mine.

Improved economy and graphical improvements and bug fixes.

Startup Company has released Beta 13.

It's quite a big update so here we go.

We will see redesigned product features, new building the skyscraper which is a first time

game implements multiple floor system.

Additionally players will have access to new furniture: bookshelf, coffee table, glass

doors and small meeting table.

When players upgrade the building old furniture will move now to new location.

We will see new soundtracks, changes to contracts, bug fixes and optimisations as well as italian

support.

Startup Company was released on steam on 11th of August and is currently rated at 77% positive

review score.

Once again Airport CEO is back with Alpha 24 here are some changes.

Airlines do not specify contract class (star rating) anymore!

This is preparations for the new contract system that we will present below.

Push back vehicle is now required for medium stand operation.

Make sure you purchase enough push back trucks for your airport.

Players will have access to greater range of furniture like hand dryers for toilets,

few new shelfs, high speed belts and many more.

Finally you can now save the games to cloud system so you can pick up where you left of

from different machines.

We will see nearly 30 new improvements and 3 times as many bug fixes game is currently

sitting at 84% positive review score on steam.

It's time for upcoming games and announcements.

Railway Empire is set to release on 26 of January this year.

In Railway Empire, you will create an elaborate and wide-ranging rail network, purchase over

40 different trains modelled, and buy or build railway stations, maintenance buildings, factories

and tourist attractions to keep your travel network ahead of the competition.

You'll also need to hire and manage your workforce if you want to ensure an efficient

train service, whilst also develop over 300 technologies ranging from mechanical improvements

to the trains themselves to workplace infrastructures and advanced amenities as you progress through

five eras of technological innovations.

To keep your business on track you'll have to survive against up to three rival tycoons.

To get to the top you may have to resort to more cutthroat tactics as you attack and sabotage

your opponents through raids and industrial espionage.

Our final game for this month comes is Parkasurus a low poly dinosaur theme park builder, 3rd

Jurassic Park-like symulator announced in past 3 months.

Developers of this game take more light hearted approach with colorful graphics and cheesy

music but promise lots of fun.

Parkasaurus challenges the player to plan, design and construct fabulous exhibits that

maximize both the happiness of their Dinos, and the park guests' satisfaction and willingness

to spend money!

Starting with only a dream and an abandoned park the player will discover groundbreaking

technologies, new attractions and a special bond with each of their Dinos, all captured

in stunningly beautiful modernized 3D flat design graphics.

In this game you will have to design habitats to suit your dinos needs, manage your infrastructure

and level up your employees but also switch to to first person view to deal with a rampage

caused by dinos escapes, time travel to gather the best eggs for your collection of dinosaurs

and deal with dynamic weather changes.

Visually and gameplay wise game reminds me of a craziness and fun of slime rancher combined

with parkitect.

Will definitely keep my eyes for any further updates.

Game is set to release on early access this spring.

The incredible story of billionaire Marcel Amphoux and his wife Sandrine Devillard

For many years, 68-year-old bohemian Marcel Amphoux lived a very quiet life in the French

Alps.

Viewed by all to be a hermit, Marcel lived in a small wooden cabin — without running

water nor electricity.

However, thanks to his simple lifestyle, he could gather a huge fortune over the years.

It's said he also owned several acres of land around the Alps, especially near the

small French village of Puy-Saint-Pierre.

This perfectly located area was an ideal winter paradise, with luxury hotels and ski systems.

The value of the land steadily increased by hundreds of thousands over the years, and

Marcel never had any intention of selling.

What he didn't know was that his modest lifestyle would soon be turned upside down

when a certain woman emerged from the shadows.

Looking at where Marcel lived and how he lived, there was nothing that suggested he was worth

several million.

However, he was not completely isolated.

Marcel did share his wealth with a few chosen people — mostly, family and friends he trusted.

At first he built some simple chalets on his field.

He let some family members and friends move in, completely free.

Marcel refused to take any rent.

Loves strikes Women were never interested Marcel, but when

he met Sandrine Devillard, who was 21 years younger than him, everything changed.

Sandrine, a well-known woman from Paris, knocked on the door of Marcel's simple home in 2010.

She explained that she was a broker and that she was very interested in buying the land

he owned.

Marcel refused.

Then Sandrine invited him to dinner — and Marcel gladly accepted the offer.

For all outsiders it was obvious: Sandrine Devillard was a gold digger and only interested

in Marcel's fortune.

At the same time, it was impossible to think this, seeing how happy Marcel seemed to be

after meeting Sandrine.

And just one year later, the two married.

The somewhat odd couple wed in the town hall of Puy-Saint-Pierre.

In the small village of 500 people, Puy-Saint-Pierre is beautifully nestled in a valley surrounded

by snow-covered peaks.

Many in the village knew each other and were there when Sandrine when she arrived at the

wedding, dressed in an elegant and expensive shiny burgundy dress and carrying a bright

yellow and red rose bouquet.

Toothless Marcel was comparably shabby-looking — he arrived dressed in a used suit and

disheveled hair.

But some of the guest loudly protested their union.

"People were booing and jeering.

They all knew Marcel well and considered that Sandrine was solely after his property and

money," villager Jacques told the Daily Express.

Sandrine Devillard could not understand why everyone was so suspicious of her.

She was hurt by all the rumors surrounding her.

After their union, the doubts continued to grow.

For example, Sandrine continued to live in Paris, while Marcel stayed in his cabin in

the Alps.

The newly married couple barely met.

Pretty strange, right?

Sandrine, however, had her explanation for this:

"Marcel is a man from the Middle Ages, even prehistoric times," Sandrine explained.

"I am a true Parisian.

I still live there.

But I visit my husband as often as I can.

To see him and to make him smile."

One year after the wedding, the locals' suspicions grew.

Marcel was involved in a car accident with Sandrine and two of her friends.

The driver somehow lost control and crashed the car.

Marcel died, while Sandrine and her two friends survived.

Rumor had it that Sandrine had something to do with the accident, but there was no evidence.

A devastated Sandrine cried throughout Marcel's funeral, but she got no pity from his family

and friends.

Sandrine announced that she was Marcel's sole heir, meaning she would become an instant

multi-millionaire.

When Sandrine told Marcel's friends that she was going to evict them and develop the

land, the situation reached a boiling point.

Will comes as a shock Then in the midst of the uproar, a statement

was released that turned the story on its head.

It turned out that shortly before his death, Marcel had revised his will.

He left all of his possessions and money to his family and friends.

Marcel even gave his friends ownership of the houses he had built for them.

Sandrine, on the other hand, got nothing.

It almost seemed like Marcel had finally listened to his friends and family.

But in 2016 when the final verdict came down, the court deemed the signature to be authentic,

writes the French newspaper Dici.

I think Marcel did the right thing.

One might have believed that it was love at first sight and that everyone else was wrong.

But that was not the case.

I can't help but feel that Sandrine got what she deserved!

The heartwarming moment eight ducklings who fell down storm drain are rescued by firefighters.

Whether they are saving a cat from a tree or ducklings from a drain, it's all in a days

work for a firefighter.

Eight little ducklings made for a very cute rescue after a group of neighbours and firefighters

helped save the curious

swimmers.

The tiny quackers were found in a Gold Coast drain but with the help of some pool scoop

nets, they weren't down there long.

With the help of some concerned neighbors, the Robina firefighters scooped the ducklings

into a laundry basket.

The cute rescue was captured on camera with a crowd of onlookers, including a number of

intrigued children, eagerly

watching on.

'It's not all what it's quacked up to be,' one person can be heard saying.

The little duckling's parents weren't far away, following closely behind as they were

carried in a laundry basket.

'We like doing community service like this and with good outcomes everybody's happy,'

firefighter Graeme Stoner told media.

The duck family were released in a safer spot at a nearby waterway, bringing smiles to locals

This is a very tragic and difficult to take in news story just out of New Jersey.

As they prepared to head out on a cold winter day, a mother and her two young children,

Within minutes, the mother and their 1-year-old were dead, while their 3-year-old lady died

in hospital.

This occurred over the weekend of January 23rd and with winter still around for a while,

I think it's absolutely crucial that everyone share to spread awareness about this "silent

killer".

According to the Washington Post, a mother and their two children, aged one and three,

sat in the car when it became too cold to wait outside.

Meanwhile, the father began to shovel around the car, not noticing that the tailpipe was

blocked.

This pushed deadly carbon monoxide gas into the car, killing the mother and the one-year-old

"within minutes".

Carbon monoxide is often referred to as the "silent killer" as it is colorless, odorless,

tasteless — and extremely toxic.

It causes people to lose consciousness in minutes.

"Any snow that covers your tailpipe, you want to shovel the snow from the back of the

car and clear the tailpipe before you even start the car," Battalion Chief Chris DiBella

told local news network WABC.

From 1999 through 2010, more than 5,100 people died from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning

in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Several municipalities in and around New Jersey as well as local police have since issued

this important warning: "Remove snow from car exhaust pipe before sitting in car and

letting it warm up.

Failure to remove snow can result in carbon monoxide poisoning.

Be sure there is ample room for air to circulate in front and behind your car to allow any

exhaust to dissipate and not build up around your car."

This is a very painful story to read, but when I saw it, I also realized it was something

many, many of us would never think about.

That's why it's absolutely crucial that this be shared by everyone so that similar

tragedies be avoided at all costs.Please always make sure your car's tailpipe isn't covered

with snow or anything else before starting it.

did get this in my December Birchbox and it is a clay mask you leave it on for 10

minutes and then you rinse it off this does have vitamin A in it and it does

say that if you are taking vitamin A or using other products that have vitamin A

then do not use it mmm smells really really good

I just obviously got out of the shower and I exfoliated there's a little bit of

a scent but nothing too much

it doesn't sting

does seem to dry very very quickly

I want to use a ton but you recover everywhere

and it's cool because this product is made in Australia and I haven't used any

products that I know of that are made in Australia so I'm excited to try it but

yeah it dries very very quickly so guys I'm gonna go ahead and leave this on for

10 minutes and then I'm gonna rinse it they'll be back to give you my first

impressions but yeah that's looking good so far like it okay guys so the mask is

dry so I'm gonna go ahead and go rinse it off and I'll be right back with you

guys okay so it's all rinsed off and guys my face feels so soft looks really

I don't want to say glowy but it kind of does but it feels really really soft it

rinsed off really really clean it just looks really really nice I'm digging the

way it looks right now sometimes clay masks can be kind of hard to get off

like around the nose area or whatever but this was rinsed very very cleanly

and it feels really really soft and nice it didn't sting at all I really really

like this so far so if you are looking for a good brightening clay mask the

pores look smaller pretty impressed but yeah I would definitely recommend the

Santas guy brilliant skin detoxify plus brighten purifying pink clay mask really

really nice I like it a lot but yeah it's left my skin looking

really really nice so I'm diggin it but yeah I will definitely leave down below

market while it's opening up. And when I say the market I mean the Pike Place

Market in Seattle, Washington. The famous one. It's the one where the guys threw

the fish and like almost anytime you see Seattle represented in film you'll see a

shot of the market. But it's almost always in the middle of it being densely

full of people and bustling and crowds. I've always wanted to show you what I think

is a few of it that only locals usually get ~ which is the market in the morning.

Before things are open and before all the shopping has begun. While people are

you know setting out fish and setting out vegetables and setting up the

amazingness that is something that's so iconic-ly Seattle. Before we get to the

market there's the mandatory stuff! You can go ahead

Morning, I'm here. We're outside the Pike Place Market and I thought we would do a

morning at the market. And I've never seen one of those shot on video and everybody does all

kinds of things at the market. But nobody's ever here I like 8:00 a.m. oh

When everything gets going. Let's see what's happening.

This is the market that I love. This is what it's

like wandering in the morning. When the city and the market are waking up

Seattle is a whole different thing. It's quiet. It's sleepy. It's pre-caffeinated.

And it's ready for all kinds of adventures. The Pike Place Market is

famous because it's a place where you get to meet the people who produce your

food. The idea that you get to work with the farmers and the producers of food

and the goods and crafts that happen at the market. In a lot of the rest of the

parts of Washington there's a lot of farming that happens.

There are really beautiful sweeping views of Elliot Bay. Elliot Bay is one of the main water

bodies in Seattle. It's one of our main shipping ports. But what you guys can see

here are cars. Cars and cars. These are cars that are on the viaduct, The Alaskan

Way Viaduct, that are probably people going to work. It's a hustle and bustle-ly

time even though it's probably the quietest time in the market.

This pig, her name is Rachel, she's actually a piggy bank.

Also there's a second Pig.

Little pro tip call it the pike singular place market. It is on Pike Street so it is the

Pike Place Market.

It was really nice for me to just go and kind of spend some time there seeing

kind of a different side of a really iconic Seattle location. Lastly, there are
