Low Carb Shepherd's Pie – Keto Comfort food - Duration: 4:45.

Welcome all! Papa G here. Today I present my version of shepherd's pie - low carbohydrate of

course! Now, the original version is made with lamb, carrots and peas, with a nice

topping of mashed potatoes. Obviously we can't use all of those ingredients and

keep it low carbohydrate, so we're gonna change it up a bit. Let's get started.

We'll begin with a clean head of cauliflower. This will serve as our potato

replacement. Roughly cut the cauliflower, removing the woody middle. On a large

sheet of aluminum foil, place our chopped cauliflower and add four cloves of

peeled garlic. Sprinkle with a little salt and some ground black pepper. Wrap

and seal tightly. Place in the middle of a preheated 350°F oven and let

roast for a 1 hour. To a large skillet on medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of

extra virgin olive oil and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. As I said in the

opening, we're gonna substitute a few ingredients. Here, we're going to use

ground beef instead of lamb. I just find beef to be a little more palatable for

most folks. Add some salt and a little black pepper.

Now add a quarter cup of diced onions. Continue to cook until the beef is fully

browned and the onions have turned translucent. Add a quarter cup of diced

carrots and a quarter cup of shelled edamame. We're using frozen edamame I

found in the frozen section of my grocery store. This will give us the same

color and texture as green peas, but with a lot less carbs. Stir and cook for about

two to four minutes. When our vegetables have softened a bit, add some garlic

powder; a little cayenne pepper; some tarragon;

rosemary; and instead of flour to thicken, we'll use about a half a teaspoon of

xanthan gum. Give that a stir to mix in our spices. Now for our gravy elements...

add one cup of beef broth and a little heavy cream. Mix and cook until it

thickens and comes together. This should take about two to five minutes. Turn off

the heat and set aside. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and

carefully open the foil. The steam is hot! So be very careful. Place the cauliflower

in a large mixing bowl and with a potato masher, mash until all the

cauliflower and garlic is broken up. Add some extra virgin olive oil; some heavy

cream; and a third of a cup of cheese. Add two tablespoons of dried chives and mix

thoroughly, mashing as you mix. Give a taste for salt and pepper. I found my

needle a little of both. Once you have the taste and texture you want, set aside

and we'll construct our dish. Using an 8 by 11 inch baking dish, pour in our meat

mixture and spread evenly. Gently dollop our mashed cauliflower

over the top. I like to do this in sections to help make spreading it

across the top a bit easier. We want to be careful not to mix it in with the

meat. Place in the middle of a preheated 375°F oven and let bake for 25

minutes, or until the top begins to brown. When it's done, remove and let cool for

at least 20 minutes. Serve warm...

Low Carb Shepherd's Pie – Keto Comfort food - Duration: 4:45.

Welcome all! Papa G here. Today I present my version of shepherd's pie - low carbohydrate of

course! Now, the original version is made with lamb, carrots and peas, with a nice

topping of mashed potatoes. Obviously we can't use all of those ingredients and

keep it low carbohydrate, so we're gonna change it up a bit. Let's get started.

We'll begin with a clean head of cauliflower. This will serve as our potato

replacement. Roughly cut the cauliflower, removing the woody middle. On a large

sheet of aluminum foil, place our chopped cauliflower and add four cloves of

peeled garlic. Sprinkle with a little salt and some ground black pepper. Wrap

and seal tightly. Place in the middle of a preheated 350°F oven and let

roast for a 1 hour. To a large skillet on medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of

extra virgin olive oil and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. As I said in the

opening, we're gonna substitute a few ingredients. Here, we're going to use

ground beef instead of lamb. I just find beef to be a little more palatable for

most folks. Add some salt and a little black pepper.

Now add a quarter cup of diced onions. Continue to cook until the beef is fully

browned and the onions have turned translucent. Add a quarter cup of diced

carrots and a quarter cup of shelled edamame. We're using frozen edamame I

found in the frozen section of my grocery store. This will give us the same

color and texture as green peas, but with a lot less carbs. Stir and cook for about

two to four minutes. When our vegetables have softened a bit, add some garlic

powder; a little cayenne pepper; some tarragon;

rosemary; and instead of flour to thicken, we'll use about a half a teaspoon of

xanthan gum. Give that a stir to mix in our spices. Now for our gravy elements...

add one cup of beef broth and a little heavy cream. Mix and cook until it

thickens and comes together. This should take about two to five minutes. Turn off

the heat and set aside. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and

carefully open the foil. The steam is hot! So be very careful. Place the cauliflower

in a large mixing bowl and with a potato masher, mash until all the

cauliflower and garlic is broken up. Add some extra virgin olive oil; some heavy

cream; and a third of a cup of cheese. Add two tablespoons of dried chives and mix

thoroughly, mashing as you mix. Give a taste for salt and pepper. I found my

needle a little of both. Once you have the taste and texture you want, set aside

and we'll construct our dish. Using an 8 by 11 inch baking dish, pour in our meat

mixture and spread evenly. Gently dollop our mashed cauliflower

over the top. I like to do this in sections to help make spreading it

across the top a bit easier. We want to be careful not to mix it in with the

meat. Place in the middle of a preheated 375°F oven and let bake for 25

minutes, or until the top begins to brown. When it's done, remove and let cool for

at least 20 minutes. Serve warm...

She's still strutting her stuff! Jane Seymour is proving that age is just a number after modeling for Playboy magazine at age 67.

The James Bond actress took to Instagram on Wednesday, February 21, to debut an image from the stunning shoot.

"I'm THRILLED to finally share this with you! I was recently photographed and interviewed in my home by Playboy," Seymour, dressed in a fuzzy pink sweater and sheer lingerie, wrote.

"I open up about my career, my family, feeling better-than-ever at 67 and so much more!".

While speaking to the publication, Seymour opened up about feeling more confident and sexy at this stage of her life than she ever has before.

"I feel much sexier now than I ever did when I was younger.

Then I was like, 'Oh gosh, I'm supposed to be sexy.

What is that?! There's an enormous freedom in having lived as long as I have," she explained.

"Like my father used to say, I'm comfortable in my own skin.".

In fact, the Emmy winner revealed that she often gets hit on by men half her age! "I said, 'Oh darn, in another life.' I find that very flattering," she admitted.

My Opinion on ProIndieDev Drama and Women in Game Industry - Indie Game Industry Discussion - Duration: 6:46.

Hello Nerds and Nerdettes today we need to talk.

I would like to address the Pro Indie Dev Drama that has been ongoing for past 3 days

and involved few prominent names in something that quickly desnded to more of a joke than

discussion.

I will start here by saying that I consider myself to be on a slight left of a centre

politically, I speak openly about discrimination and have been victim of racial abuse on numerous

occasions just because my accent.

Issues of diversity are dear to my heart as a european economic migrant in increasingly

more hostile United Kingdom.

With that opening I would like to ask you to watch a video and listen to my argument

to the end.

Drama Started with Brianna Wu attacking on twitter Gabrel Dal Santo organizer of Pro

Indie Dev event.

Pro Indie Dev is first online free conference designed to teach new indie developers the

ropes in the industry.

If you have any experience in indie development you quickly realize that the field is mostly

blind leading a blind with many misconceptions and myths and any concrete knowledge is scarce

and difficult to find.

As you can see here Brianna Wu accuses developers of being sexist and not diverse enough.

It quickly escalated with Cliffski twitter response.

I want to talk here why diversity is important and when it is important.

Diversity has proven to produce better products, make businesses more profitable and generally

be a good thing for any industry.

Now it works like this if and only if leads to diversity of experiences and opinions.

Being a woman or being black doesn't automatically make your opinion different to that of a man

of similar background.

I would argue that middle class woman or a middle class black man has far more incommon

with middle class white man than this same white man has in common with other white person

from social estate.

I would further argue that the struggles of working class white man are comparable to

struggles of working class black man or woman.

I have spend last decade of my professional life working in social care.

If there is anything that I have learnt in that time is that poverty and abuse don't

care about your gender or skin colour.

The only privilege that really matters is the privilege of wealth.

Who do you believe has harder life daughter of Indian Born Clinical Consultant earning

£100 000 a year or a white son of single mother of five living on social estate in

Britain?

I would like to talk quickly about the indie dev industry before we continue.

Your typical indie game company is small usually 1 to 3 people studio.

You don't usually apply to become indie developer there is no application or recrutation.

One day you and maybe one or 2 more friends wake up and make a studio and from that day

forward you are independent indie developers.

Noone is going to stop you opening a studio, it's literally £60 fee in the UK to register

your business and similar prices across the world.

Many Indie Developers are self taught entrepreneurs.

Literally the only barrier to entry here is owning computer good enough to run Unity,

Unreal, Game Maker or some other engine of your choice.

There is no need inform people on your gender or skin colour; there is no question about

it when you submit game to steam; no one asks you this when sending game to reviews online.

I have certainly never questioned any of developers who send me steam keys about their background.

In this highly, independent field hence you know the word indie comes from, all that matters

is quality of your work and your ability to get others interested in your games.

We tend to operate under user names or company names.

Now your background can help you with making specific games or may make it harder to learn

due to difficulties you face.

Let's look at a first person in this lineup Edmund McMillen.

He is the Mexican descendant living in the US who should not speak unless Ms Wu gives

him permission to do so.

Like no really apparently he is irrelevant to discussion despite being one of main speakers

at the event…

This bad hombre here grew up in poverty, suffers with learning difficulty, comes from a history

of abuse and himself is sexual abuse survivor which resulted in mental health issues.

He is also creator of Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy you may have heard of those

games before.

If that is not diverse enough background with amazing success from someone who must have

overcome many barriers on his way I seriously don't know what is.

Organizer himself invited several female developers but didn't receive many responses, event

is free and each of this successful developers is taking a time away from their work to run

it.

To compare it to events like GDC which cost between $1000 to $2000 dollars to attend that

is excluding flights, passports, visas, etc.

I would argue free online event is of a far greater benefit than paid event in the USA

It would take me over a year of saving to be able to event attend that and there are

countries out there where $1000 is prohibitive price on any good making those event imposible.

Not to mention all the mess that obtaining visas to US is.

I want to bring your attention to the fact that after 3 days of drama not a single name

of successful female has been proposed by the attacker of this event.

Which comes to a great shame because the opportunity for a change of the line up was open by the

organizer.

Rather than using this for positive change professional identity politicians are using

this event and any anger they may have caused in you for their own publicity.

Those people care about one thing only which is their own business and opportunities.

Real road to change is never the option for them as Appabend said in his latest video

on Kingdom Come: Deliverance those people are never pleased, they are not playing video

games nor are they directly involved in developing those.

If you want to lead change to indie game industry you should understand that no one ever changed

their mind by being abused online.

We should promote female and minority developers by positive actions.

One of those actions could be providing a list of successful female devs that future

events could use ms Wu apparently have such list but is refusing to share.

Others claimed of knowing successful african developers but again no names have been mentioned.

I urge people with knowledge to come forward and suggest potential speakers.

I would then urge females and minorities developers to use those events to talk about your games

and journey.

Noone wants to here yet another speech about how gamers are sexist and being white is a

crime in itself.

It will not convince anyone to change.

Show us your games, show how your unique perspective can help you create better games.

But most importantly don't diminish other people success for being white or male.

Appreciate great games those developers have made and knowledge they have to share.

It is naive to assume that just because someone looks different than you majority of their

experience won't be useful to you.

Workflow, game trends, keeping your sanity, scope of the projects, market research, prototyping,

iterating and many more topics will be exactly the same if you are white male from New York

or if you are black girl from Nigeria.

You can still learn from those experiences and be grateful for the fact someone is sharing

their years of experience for free in the most accessible place of all the internet.

Create an Easy Circle Shaped Card - Waffle Flower Crafts Spring 2018 Release & Blog Giveaway! - Duration: 7:01.

hi it's Therese from Lostinpaper and I'm really excited to be here today with the

Waffle flower spring 2018 release and how cute is this new packaging

you can buy these stamp and die combo sets now so this is the new packaging

that it arrives in and that's the stamp set that I'm going to be using today it's

called spring time it's from Big Bear and bird but first I'm going to start off by

doing some blending because I'm going to be making a really easy shaped card

today and that's using the new it's called nesting circles 2 but I'll get

get into that a little bit more in a moment what I've got here is some

Bristol cardstock this is the smooth cardstock and I'm using a couple of the

Waffle flower inks to do some blending I just I'm not getting too worried about

my blending here because most of it it's not really gonna be seen so basically

I'm just creating a sky and some grass I've got one of the round blending tools

if you're not very good at blending like me and haven't practiced much like me

because I don't like getting inky fingers... I know I've got the wrong

hobby here I think but that's okay I can live with that because I love

making cards so I just put up with the fact that I can get inky fingers

sometimes or I wear gloves but anyway I digress. Like I said this is going to

be a really simple background because you're not going to see most of it once

I get my little elements on top of there so I've just done some simple blending

with the chirp-chirp ink it's just the green one and daydreaming which is the

blue this is the nesting circles too now the great thing about this nesting set

of dies is it's double stitched and that means it's got stitching around the

outside of where the die cuts as well as on the inside where the die cuts so lots of

possibilities with this nesting die set and I thought I'd make a really easy

circle card today and it's only because I wanted all these little springtime

critter and what is it it's a rabbit it's a bunny rabbit and flowers to be

the center of attention my sentiment did come from one of the other new sets

which is called limo ride and I've got a card at my blog today using that set and

it's awesome there's actually three cards at my blog

today I've just done the one video and also because this is a release hop if

you head through the link to my blog and we're here in February 2018 you might

have a chance to win and all the details and how you can do that are at my blog

I've stamped out some images and I've actually stamped out more than I need

because I wasn't really sure what my little scene was going to be and I think

I got a bit over exuberant I know it's like a small circle card and I thought

this would make a really good gift tag as well but I stamped out heaps of stuff

anyway I did think I was going to use the bush images as clouds but in the end

I don't even bother sharing the coloring with you because I didn't even use them

at all but did I thought they'd might make other good clouds I think they're

meant to be shrubs with flowers in them but I thought they'd be really fun

clouds as well so I love it when you can get more idea stands so I just it's a

really easy Copic coloring here I want it to be bright cheerful spring-like and

fun and I will list all the colors that I've used today over at my blog as well

like I said this set comes with the coordinating dies if you buy it in the

combo it works out great value so if you like me I'm really starting to need the

coordinating dies for my stamp sets I don't know

cuz I like them for techniques as well as to make my life simple and

quick although I've really enjoy I do really enjoy fussy cutting the ease of

coordinating dies I love it I normally stamp my images far enough apart that I

can run them all through the die-cutting machine at once but this time I didn't

do so well maybe next time I've die-cut two

further circles and I've just used my trimmer to off the edge of one of the

one of the circles and now I'm just doing a score line there as well and

this is going to be the back of my card or my gift tag and that way it will be

able to stand on its own the second one here I mean I could have used the

Bristol cardstock as the card front but I just like the idea of having it a

little bit more supported and it's a different color wide to the other one so

you know it's got to all matchy match I've used some scor tape across where I

had scored the fold on the back of my card any sort of strong adhesive would

be good here it can't use one that's not strong because potentially it could come

apart but a good liquid glue would work as well see that stands up and now for

the fun bit just like creating my scene and I'm using some dotted adhesive you

could also use like a liquid glue I just find that it is easy if it's quicker and

I don't have to wait for it to dry although glues like the matte medium and

the tombow mono do dry really fast so I'm just lazy I didn't when I get the

glue bottle out I did decide to pop up my rabbit and also the butterfly I think

they're the only two things I normally do lots of layers when I do these sorts

of cards but today I wanted it all to look like it was in the background all

Low Carb Shepherd's Pie – Keto Comfort food - Duration: 4:45.

Welcome all! Papa G here. Today I present my version of shepherd's pie - low carbohydrate of

course! Now, the original version is made with lamb, carrots and peas, with a nice

topping of mashed potatoes. Obviously we can't use all of those ingredients and

keep it low carbohydrate, so we're gonna change it up a bit. Let's get started.

We'll begin with a clean head of cauliflower. This will serve as our potato

replacement. Roughly cut the cauliflower, removing the woody middle. On a large

sheet of aluminum foil, place our chopped cauliflower and add four cloves of

peeled garlic. Sprinkle with a little salt and some ground black pepper. Wrap

and seal tightly. Place in the middle of a preheated 350°F oven and let

roast for a 1 hour. To a large skillet on medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of

extra virgin olive oil and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. As I said in the

opening, we're gonna substitute a few ingredients. Here, we're going to use

ground beef instead of lamb. I just find beef to be a little more palatable for

most folks. Add some salt and a little black pepper.

Now add a quarter cup of diced onions. Continue to cook until the beef is fully

browned and the onions have turned translucent. Add a quarter cup of diced

carrots and a quarter cup of shelled edamame. We're using frozen edamame I

found in the frozen section of my grocery store. This will give us the same

color and texture as green peas, but with a lot less carbs. Stir and cook for about

two to four minutes. When our vegetables have softened a bit, add some garlic

powder; a little cayenne pepper; some tarragon;

rosemary; and instead of flour to thicken, we'll use about a half a teaspoon of

xanthan gum. Give that a stir to mix in our spices. Now for our gravy elements...

add one cup of beef broth and a little heavy cream. Mix and cook until it

thickens and comes together. This should take about two to five minutes. Turn off

the heat and set aside. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and

carefully open the foil. The steam is hot! So be very careful. Place the cauliflower

in a large mixing bowl and with a potato masher, mash until all the

cauliflower and garlic is broken up. Add some extra virgin olive oil; some heavy

cream; and a third of a cup of cheese. Add two tablespoons of dried chives and mix

thoroughly, mashing as you mix. Give a taste for salt and pepper. I found my

needle a little of both. Once you have the taste and texture you want, set aside

and we'll construct our dish. Using an 8 by 11 inch baking dish, pour in our meat

mixture and spread evenly. Gently dollop our mashed cauliflower

over the top. I like to do this in sections to help make spreading it

across the top a bit easier. We want to be careful not to mix it in with the

meat. Place in the middle of a preheated 375°F oven and let bake for 25

minutes, or until the top begins to brown. When it's done, remove and let cool for

at least 20 minutes. Serve warm...
