D Brief - Should New Zealand ban rodeo? - Duration: 2:37.What is going on?
It's 2018 and we haven't been able to protect these animals.
We need to have a serious conversation about this.
Ha ha ha ha!
Yeehaw!
Ride'em cowboy!
Okay
We're going to the rodeo!
Okay, okay.
You wanna go to the rodeo?
Do we even have rodeos in New Zealand?
Yes, do they not have them in India.
Yeah. Nah.
The cows are kinda holy in India,
so that would be a problem.
Ah, so you can't lasso them and tie them up,
and give'em a kiss?
I would recommend against that.
Well, we have them in New Zealand.
We used to go as a family
and get all dressed up like cowboys.
I would go and get chips and burgers and snow cones.
So you went there for the food?
Yes, primarily.
But also they had mysterious dusty cowboys.
Ahh.
Um, they had funny clowns running around.
Clowns? They had clowns?
Yeah.
Personally, I'm not a fan of clowns.
You know, I saw that movie, It,
which traumatised me as a kid.
They even re-made it in India,
where the clown would sing a lullaby
before going on a killing spree.
La la la la la la la la.
Okay, creepy!
Sorry.
Anyways, did you hear about the protest this weekend?
They had a protest against evil clowns, finally?
No, but I would join that protest.
I'm talking about the protest across rodeos
in New Zealand by animal rights activists.
No, what are they protesting?
They want to ban all rodeos, but certain crueller practises
like calf-roping, where they chuck a lasso
over a calf and yank it to restrain it
in the shortest amount of time.
They even use calves as young as 10 weeks old.
Okay.
And the Greens have a bill to ban calf-roping
and flank straps.
Right, what are flank straps?
Flank strap is a piece of leather
which is tied just by the bull's testicles
so they yank at it, so the bull tucks.
Personally, it doesn't sound like a lot of fun.
It doesn't make me feel like a snow cone.
But on the other hand, the organisers of the rodeo
defend it as a part of growing up in rural New Zealand.
Yeah, when I was a kid, I enjoyed them.
As an adult, I don't know.
Are rodeos okay?
Are they woke?
Am I using "woke" correctly?
Maybe, but rodeos aren't woke.
So what do you guys think?
Let us know in the comments below.
And is it rodeo or ro-day-oh?
Or, is it ro-day-no?
Oohh, hello handsome cowboy.

Don't Trust Other Locators Marks On The Ground - Duration: 3:29.Morning guys.
Hope you're well.
Hope you're all having a lovely day.
Just out on site today
and I thought I'd show you a gas pipe
that someone has located incorrectly and luckily the client's called us out to
double check and we've found it somewhere else.
It's not that far out but have a look at this.
So, this what we've found here.
So this is the gas main crossing the road.
And then over here it turns
turns
follow the yellow dots and goes up along there.
So I think that all makes sense.
Does it?
Follow the yellow dots and goes straight around does a bit of a dog leg.
Let me show you where they said it went.
So we go back down
So start from
yellow dots
go down
yep they'll all good that's where we had it
And then over here we've got it turning
they said it went straight.
So look at the difference.
That's where we've
that's where we've found the gas main.
That's where they've said it was underground.
I don't know why they stuffed up that far out.
It's hang on, let me measure this out.
Haven't got a tape measure.
Just do my feet.
One
That's over two metres out.
Two and a bit metres out.
Don't know.
It's definately got a trace wire because we located it
we just used spillage mode.
Put the transmitter down where the plans said it was
the offset and then located it
and that's how we located where it was so that's why there's no depth on it.
The plan even shows it doing a little bit of a dog leg
on the plan.
So, I don't know why they stuffed up as bad as they have.
So it's there and we found it there.
Now, we haven't exposed it yet so, they could be correct.
But, the plan says that's what we say it does.
The locator says it does what we say it does.
So, positive I'm right with it.
Anyway, we're working for City of Greater Geelong today.
Luckily they're smart enough to realise to get us out
to double check other locator's that have been out here before
and make sure that no-one else stuffs up.
Alright guys, just wanted to show you I don't want to boast but in saying I'm good
and all but well
Anyway, all good guys.
Hope you're all having a great day
and yeah I guess what's the lesson in this.
Don't trust everything you see on the ground.
If you see gas marks or other marks on the ground
and someone else has located them before
make sure you locate them yourself.
Make sure you know who the locator is.
Make sure you can trust them and if you don't
if you see locates on the ground, you see marks on the ground always double check it.
Always go through and get your own locator and double check it's done right.
Yeah, that's probably a good lesson for today.
Guys, take care.
Talk soon.
Bye.

7 Life Lessons From Raising a Child With Down Syndrome - Duration: 6:25.Seven life lessons from raising a child with down syndrome
Deanna Smith is a mother of two toddlers Addison three who has down syndrome and
Carter two and a former high school music teacher turned stay at home mom
or personal block everything and nothing from Essex Chronicles her journey through
motherhood and raising a child with down syndrome
she is expecting her third baby in November
if I could go back in time and relive one moment
without a doubt I would choose the moment for years ago when I received a phone call land for your baby has down syndrome
slumped on the couch
tears overflowing and feeling like my world just imploded I knew nothing would ever be the same
upon receiving my daughter's prenatal diagnosis I remember feeling a sense of soul crushing hopelessness
hopelessness for what my daughter's life would be like
hopelessness for what the diagnosis meant for me as a parent hopelessness for how different
are family would look from the one I had imagined for us
I was changed forever by that call that no looking back on that moment for years later
I want to replace that anxiety
Saro and anger with different emotions
hopeful ones there were things that I just didn't know at the time up to that point
I had a stereotypical picture of down syndrome in my mind
a life with zero potential
a life spent trapped in a corner with no time to think
feel or truly live
this on founded view of down syndrome created an imagined reality of despair and sadness
a reality that it turns out
doesn't exist if I could go back and relive that moment
I would seize the chance to tell myself these seven things that I have learned since that day
one your baby is a baby first you are not giving birth to a down syndrome baby
you're giving birth to your baby
are unique individual who will bear resemblance to you and your family in addition
to some similar features to others with down syndrome
it's amazing how much my two children resemble each other even though one has down syndrome and the other doesn't
you don't have to lock down syndrome to love your baby
focus on the life not the label
to your baby will still achieve typical milestones
if you have siblings or friends who had babies right around the same time you had yours you may find yourself falling into the comparison
trap do not compare your baby to typically developing babies
instead to start listing that things that your baby has accomplished
don't diminish your child's beautiful and victorious field of daisies by comparing it to the
nearest MTN the milestones might take a little bit longer
but when they finally happen
the celebration is so much more joyful
three there is a lot of support and help available
there is always support for a parent with a child who has special needs of for example you can enroll your baby in your state's early
intervention IE program as early as six weeks old
as Susan Schooler it describes in her award winning book
babies with down syndrome
and knew a parent's guide
early intervention means intervening early in the child's life to encourage growth and development
many different professionals are involved in providing I Services including specialists in motor skills
language and communication learning acquisition
and social emotional development
you child will begin therapy is to help her reach milestones faster and correctly
this will set good pass for future learning
for there is much beauty in down's syndrome
oftentimes my daughter's beauty takes my breath away
to sparkling on in shape to eyes that are the same color as her daddy's a captivating smile
that often leads to laughter so infectious that the hardest of hearts will melt in response
small hands that are quick to seek mischief and then sign for forgiveness
acute gap between her toes that is perfect for wearing sandals allow your stereotypical reality
to crumble and two hits to know the person hidden under the label
for five your baby will experience a wide range of emotions
you might hear someone say that your baby will be always happy
can make your baby seem somehow less human
but the truth is that your child will display all types of moods happy
sad silly and gray whiny hysterical
the lighted the same as any other person
six frustrations can be a good excuse to get creative with your teaching approach
embrace the unique frustrations you may face and realize that every child learns differently
for example if your child has difficulty communicating verbally teach her sign language
a quote on the web site of signing time a parent's choice approved DVD series for children says sign language is a wonderful tool
that allows to even very small children to express themselves
seven down syndrome will not define your child's entire existence
the huge bit of news will not overshadow your whole life and will eventually slide into the background of a normal family life
you'll have bad days that have nothing to do with a diagnosis
you will laugh again and cry again about other things
you will enjoy a lot with your child that has nothing to do with chromosomes or therapy or doctor's appointments
these days I am amazed at how much hope I have
hope for addison's future
for her zest to enjoy life in her own way
and for her ability to achieve whatever she sets her mind to her diagnosis has already provided
me with new perspectives of ways to love and a deeper appreciation for the little things

What is your best memory of Jonghyun? - AMAZING NEWS - Duration: 3:09.I have a lot of memories of Jonghyun — I have been a SHINee fan for three years and counting, and Jinki and Jonghyun are my ultimate biases (although I stan all members as if they're my biases).
Jonghyun is a very precious person to me.
When I was going through a very tough time in my life, where I felt worthless and suicidal, Jonghyun's songs (especially Diphylleia Grayi) helped me get better, and enter a more positive chapter of my life.
This isn't really a memory but it was something extremely meaningful to me about Jonghyun.
When it comes to a memory, I was ecstatic when I received my 1and1 album, which had a Jonghyun photocard, and that was around the time Jonghyun was slipping into my ults list.
I showed him off a lot and even put him on my Christmas tree!.
Also, when Jonghyun held his inspiration concerts, I fangirled a lot because, honestly, he channeled so many different emotions into his performances; frankly, it was extremely beautiful and inspiring.
I remember sending my best friend concert updates and her giggling at my ramblings because I was so infatuated.
I hope this answers your question! I miss him very much and am always willing to talk about him lmao.

Madison Chock and Evan Bates suffer shocking fall in long program - WO 2018 - Duration: 0:45.It is not often that a dance team ends up falling in a heap on the ice, but that's
exactly what happened to the accomplished American team of Madison Chock and Evan Bates
on Tuesday in the Olympic ice dance long program.
Disaster struck as the 2015 U.S. national champions were about to get into their combination
spin, with Bates picking Chock up, then setting her skate back down on the ice, and then,
skates tangled, suddenly both of them fell flat on the ice.
They got up and finished well, but their well-received "Imagine" program, choreographed by the
great Christopher Dean, ended not in triumph, but in tears on the ice.
They can finish no better than ninth after standing seventh following the short program.
Thank you for watching.

How To Keep Your Bunny Healthy - Dr David Vella & Kate Adams - Duration: 3:52.hey guys I'm dr. Kate from Bondi Veterinary Hospital and today I'm going
to be going to the North Shore Specialist Hospital and I'm going to be
going to chat to David Vella. David is actually a specialist exotic vet.
And what that basically means, is he sees all these animals that us vets don't see very often.
So things like lizards and snakes and turtles.. he also treats rabbits
And I have so many questions from everybody about rabbits,
because they're such special little animals and they need special care as pets.
So I went and hunt down Dr. David just to have a chat to him about all of those things that
you wanted to know about your rabbit.
In particular what we're going to be chatting to him today about
is how to actually keep your bunny healthy.
Let's go find him.
Thank you for coming.
Thanks for inviting me.
Today we're actually going to be talking about all things rabbits.
And in particular how to actually keep your rabbit healthy.
Rabbits a special little critters and they make special little pets.
But there are some really particular things about rabbits,
in terms of actually keeping them healthy.
Yes, so my three tips and that I'm going to talk about today..
the number one thing is 'Nutrition'.
I'll talk about nutrition and why it's so important it's so important in keeping your rabbit healthy.
Number two we can talk about the importance of interacting with your rabbit
and observing your rabbit.
That includes having your rabbit vet checked.
And number three is about the importance of having a companion for your rabbit.
Because rabbits are very sociable animals
and they very much benefit from having a companion rabbit.
Preventative health is what we're all about here today and certainly the
number one is nutrition.
Just really keep it simple. Think of rabbits as leaf eating animals.
They need fiber. They eat grass.
That's the take-home message.
So the next best thing to giving them fresh grass, which most people can't give..
is to give them hay.
My second tip would be to interact with your rabbit frequently.
Meaning physically contact your your rabbit.. including getting them
vet checked frequently. At least annually.
And one of the ways you interact with them is by observing them of course..
and observing if they don't eat.. that's the time to take them straight to the vet.
Absolutely.
They're really good at masking pain,
so by the time they're showing signs of illness
they're really sick.
Yes..
Something I think is often overlooked, is
having a companion rabbit is a fantastic way to keep the rabbit not only physically healthy
but also mentally and behaviorally healthy.
I know it's not always easy to mix rabbits and
and have them bond with another rabbit ..
but the benefits of having a companion rabbit
I think could not be underestimated they are really sociable
and interact really well..
..and it's often a way that you might find that there's something wrong
with one of the other rabbits, because the interaction between them
might have changed..
And.. what about.. I mean I think I might know the answer to this one..
what about mixing Rabbits with Guinea Pigs?
You know, we get that a lot. And the general recommendation is don't do it.
Rabbits will passively bully Guinea Pigs just because they're bigger animals - generally.
And they also have different dietary requirements.
So slightly different diets.
People often don't realize that.. and for that reason we don't recommend it.
However if we meat a rabbit and Guinea Pig that really bonded well..
we're not going to try and break that bond apart.
Rabbit nutrition it's so important to
So guys there you have it.
Rabbit nutrition.. it's SO important to get it right.
Thank you so much for coming Dr. David.
Thank you for inviting me.
See you guys!

Your Boss Might Be Stealing From You But There's Nothing You Can Do About It - Duration: 9:25.>> IF EMPLOYERS ARE REFUSING TO PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES THE WAGE
THEY HAVE EARNED, THEY ARE
SUPPOSED TO HAVE SOME SORT OF PROCESS TO GO THROUGH IN ORDER
TO RECOUP THEIR BACK WAGES, SOME SORT OF LEGAL WAY OF DOING IT.
BUT A NINE-MONTH INVESTIGATION BY POLITICO FOUND THAT THERE ARE
SEVERAL STATES IN THE US, AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT THAT HAVE
FAILED TO HELP EMPLOYEES RECOUP
THE MONEY THEY HAVE EARNED AND DESERVED.
WHAT THIS INVESTIGATION FOUND
IS THAT ñ
KEEP IN MIND THERE IS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, THE
DEPARTMENT OF LABOR THAT CAN GET INVOLVED AND HELP YOU IF YOU
HAVE BEEN SCREWED OVER BY YOUR EMPLOYER.
HOWEVER THE FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE IS THE STATE.
THERE IS A GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION EVERY STATE THAT
HELPS INVESTIGATE THESE MATTERS AND IF YOU HAVE BEEN WRONGED
THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO HOPE YOU GET THAT MONEY BACK.
OFTENTIMES IT IS NOT THE WAY THINGS
WORK OUT.
WHAT OFTEN HAPPENS IS IT WILL NEVER GET INVESTIGATED, MAINLY
SOUTHERN STATES, REFUSED TO HIRE THE EMPLOYEES NECESSARY TO
INVESTIGATE.
AND IN OTHER STATES WHERE THEY TOO HAVE THE PEOPLE NECESSARY TO
DO THESE INVESTIGATIONS, THEY
DON'T FOLLOW THROUGH TO ENSURE THESE EMPLOYERS PAY THEIR
EMPLOYEES BACK.
IN SOME CASES THE COMPANIES WILL REBRAND
THEMSELVES, AND THEN THERE WAS NO WAY OF ENFORCING THESE LAWS
AND MAKING SURE THEY PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES BACK.
>>CAN I JUST EXPLAIN TO PEOPLE WHY?
WHY WOULD YOU USE STATE
MONEY TO INVESTIGATE YOUR OWN
DONORS?
OF COURSE I REPRESENT THEM AND NOT YOU.
IF YOU MENTION THE SO-CALLED IRS SCANDAL NOW ñ WHY DID THE
REPUBLICANS INVENT THAT?
BECAUSE
THEY ARE DONORS WHO DON'T PAY THEIR TAXES THE MOST.
THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE AS LITTLE MONEY AS POSSIBLE.
IN THIS CASE THEY ARE ALLOWING CORPORATIONS TO CHEAT AND NOT
PAYING YOU.
>>
THAT IS DEFINITELY PART OF THE STORY, BUT IT IS A LOT WORSE.
SOME OF THESE COMPANIES ARE NOT MASSIVE CORPORATIONS.
IN FACT THOSE CORPORATIONS, THE BIG DONORS THAT ARE WORKING
FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY HAVE A LOT MORE TO LOSE IF THEY ARE
SCREWING OVER THEIR EMPLOYEES.
THEY TYPICALLY ARE NOT THE CORPORATIONS WHO DO THIS TYPE OF
SHADY DEALINGS.
IT IS USUALLY THE SMALLER COMPANIES THAT GET AWAY WITH
IT BECAUSE THEY CAN REBRAND THEMSELVES, DISSOLVE THEIR
CORPORATION, AND CREATE A NEW ONE UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME.
THEN IT BECOMES IMPOSSIBLE TO ENFORCE.
>> IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ENFORCE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO ENFORCE.
>>MY POINT IS IT IS EVEN WORSE THAN WHAT YOU THOUGHT BECAUSE
THE REPUBLICAN LAWMAKERS IN THE STATES DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR
MINIMUM WAGE, THAT YOU HAVE BEEN SCREWED OVER BY YOUR EMPLOYERS,
THEY DON'T WANT TO USE THE RESOURCES NECESSARY TO HIRE THE
INVESTIGATORS AND DO THE INVESTIGATIONS TO GET YOU THE
MONEY THAT YOU EARNED.
IT WAS WORSE THAN THE CORPORATIONS PAYING OFF
POLITICIANS.
>> THEY HAVE BEEN TRAINED OVER ALL THESE YEARS TO ONLY CARE
ABOUT THE DONORS.
THEY HAVE FORGOTTEN THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT YOU.
THEY LITERALLY CALLED YOU REPRESENTATIVES.
AND THEY COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT YOU.
AGAIN CORPORATE DEMOCRATS DO THIS TOO BUT WHEN THEY TAKE
MONEY THEY ALSO SERVE THEIR MASTERS.
WHEN REPUBLICANS NOW BECOME SO CORRUPTED TURN AROUND AND
PRETEND THEY ARE FOR THE AVERAGE
GUY ñ WE DELIVER THE NEWS TO YOU EVERY DAY.
THIS IS A GIANT INVESTIGATION BY POLITICO.
AND THE PEOPLE ON THE OTHER END, THEY ARE NOT BOMBS.
THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE WORKING BY DEFINITION AND THEY GET
MINIMUM WAGE AND THEN THEIR EMPLOYER SCREWS THEM.
>>THESE ARE EMPLOYEES THAT WORK
IN LANDSCAPING, RESTAURANT
INDUSTRY, CLEANING COMPANIES, THE WORKING POOR WHO ARE ALREADY
GETTING SCREWED BY A SYSTEM THAT IS RIGGED AGAINST THEM.
THEN YOU HAVE SEVERAL STATES IN THE US THAT DON'T EVEN WANT TO
HIRE THE INVESTIGATORS NECESSARY TO PROTECT THEM.
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOESN'T CARE FOR ANYONE TO PROTECT THE
ACTUAL CONSUMERS.
ON A STATE LEVEL IT GETS WORSE.
TWO STATES, KANSAS AND IOWA ñ WHY WOULD YOU PUT A CEILING
THERE?
IF SOMEONE GOT SCREWED OVER BY $25,000 YOU ARE NOT
GOING TO INVESTIGATED BY POLICY?
THAT MEANS THEY WILL NOT INVESTIGATE ISSUES INVOLVING
WAGE THEFT.
>>BECAUSE THEY REPRESENT
THE ROBBERS.
THEY ARE MAKING SURE THAT THEY LITERALLY DON'T STEAL FROM YOU.
IT'S LIKE THEY CAME TO YOUR HOUSE AND TOOK $1000 OUT OF YOUR
DRAWER.
IF YOU THINK THEY ARE FOR THE AVERAGE GUY YOU NEED TO HAVE
YOUR HEAD EXAMINED.
>>IF YOU GO TO STATE LAWMAKERS AND THEY DON'T HELP YOU OUT OF
COURSE YOU CAN GO TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND HOPEFULLY THEY
CAN HELP OUT.
THAT IS A LONG AND DIFFICULT PROCESS, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE
THAT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WILL EVEN LOOK INTO YOUR CASE, BUT IF
THEY DO A BEST CASE SCENARIO THEY RUIN YOUR FAVOR THEY CAN
ONLY RECOUP WHAT THE FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE IS.
IF YOU'RE IN A STATE WHERE THE MINIMUM WAGE IS HIGHER THAN
THE FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE OF $7.25,
YOU ARE STILL GOING TO LOSE A TON OF MONEY BECAUSE I CAN
ONLY GIVE YOU BACK $7.25 PER HOUR THAT YOU WORKED.
>> AND THAT IS IF YOU HAVE A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT THAT GAVE A
DAMN ABOUT YOU.
>>RIGHT, AND RIGHT NOW YOU DON'T.

Michelle Obama tweets 'Black Panther' review, but it takes two tries - Duration: 1:46.Michelle Obama tweets 'Black Panther' review, but it takes two tries
Marvels Black Panther continues to hit at the box office and has caused such
a cultural phenomenon that former First Lady Michelle Obama made a rare post on Twitter
to sing its praises, although it took her two tries.
Obama released a tweet earlier in the day thanking the team from Black Panther,
which has a cast made up of predominantly black actors and actresses, for presenting
new role models to children and superhero fans.
Congrats to the entire #blackpanther team!
Because of you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the
big screen, she wrote.
I loved this movie and I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and
find the courage to be heroes of their own stories.
Unfortunately, it seems Obamas expertise isnt with posting on social media.
An early draft of the tweet saw the Black Panther hashtag that currently resides
within the post as a direct tweet to @BlackPanther. The reason she changed it is simple, the movie
uses the handle @theblackpanther. The account @BlackPanther belongs to a random
person with a private account and only 30 followers.
The mistaken tweet wasnt up long before Obama edited it with the hashtag.
Fortunately for the former first lady, not many people seemed to notice.
Still, its likely her next position wont have anything to do with working social media
for the nation of Wakanda.
The new Marvel film doesn't need any more endorsements, though.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the film currently has an estimated $235 domestically
and currently sits as the second most successful Marvel movie of all time, second only to the
first "Avengers" film from 2012.
