Liverpool move for Nigerian international winger Moses Simon

Liverpool appear ready to make a move for their second signing of the summer with a £10 million bid for Moses Simon. One of the strongest parts of Jurgen Klopps team last season was the fast-paced, goalscoring threat of the front three.

A continual issue though, particularly in the second half of the campaign, was a lack of cover for the starting trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane—particularly the latter two in the wide areas.

Now the Reds are ready to make a move to address that situation, with a move for Nigeria international winger Moses Simon.

The Echos Ian Doyle reports that a £10 million bid for the wide man, currently playing in Belgium with KAA Gent, will be forthcoming. He has spent the past four seasons with the Jupiler League club, winning the league in 2015.

Simon, whose middle name is Daddy, is a Nigeria regular, winning 21 caps to date and playing in the majority of their World Cup qualifiers. He will not, however, be at the finals in Russia after succumbing to an ill-timed injury recently.

That would mean another new signing that can be involved in a pre-season at Liverpool, something Klopp is very keen on.

A versatile performer, Simon can play on either flank or as a support striker, though the majority of this most recent campaign with Gent was spent on the left.

He netted six goals in 29 league games this term, a tally perhaps lowered by missing two months through injury around the turn of the year.

While its certainly evident that the Reds need to add more cover for Mane and Salah, his addition could leave a question mark over the future of Harry Wilson.

The Welsh attacker excelled on loan at Hull City this year but may struggle to find favour or game time if another wide man is brought in.

Typically for a wide forward interesting Klopp and his side, Simon is rapid, technically strong and especially impressive in one-vs. His relatively low price tag comes as a result of having just one year left on his contract.

The revelation that Loris Karius sustained a concussion before his two errors in the Champions League final may prompt some to reconsider their stance on the goalkeeper.

Karius nightmare in Kyiv had sparked widespread calls for an immediate replacement, with even many high-profile journalists adopting this approach.

The prime candidate to replace Karius is Roma stopper Alisson, and if that remains the case Liverpool could face competition in the form of Chelsea.

Kristian Saucier was one of five people to receive a pardon from President Donald Trump.

So what has the former Navy sailor done so far with his newfound freedom?

Well, he turned right around and got revenge on Hillary Clinton, who is guilty of the same

crime that put him behind bars.

While campaigning for the White House, and after taking office President Donald Trump

frequently voiced support for Kristian Saucier, who in March became the second person Trump

pardoned.

Trump often juxtaposed the Obama administration's handling of Saucier's case with that of

Hillary Clinton, who got away scot-free for doing the same thing on a much bigger scale.

Now, Saucier, who served a year in federal prison for taking photos of classified sections

of the submarine on which he worked, is planning to file a lawsuit against Obama administration

officials, alleging that he was subject to unequal protection of the law.

Saucier argues that the same officials who meted out punishment to him for his actions,

chose to be lenient with Hillary Clinton in her use of a private email server, and handling

of classified information.

"They interpreted the law in my case to say it was criminal, but they didn't prosecute

Hillary Clinton.

Hillary is still walking free.

Two guys on my ship did the same thing and weren't treated as criminals.

We want them to correct the wrong," said Saucier.

"My case was usually something handled by military courts.

They used me as an example because of the backlash over Hillary Clinton."

Saucier, who lives in Vermont, pleaded guilty in 2016 to taking photos inside the USS Alexandria

while it was stationed in Groton, Connecticut, in 2009.

He said he only wanted service mementos, but federal prosecutors argued he was a disgruntled

sailor, who had put national security at risk by taking photos showing the submarine's

propulsion system, and reactor compartment and then obstructed justice by destroying

a laptop and camera.

Saucier said that he recognized he had erred in taking the photos, which he said he wanted

to show only to his family to show them where he worked.

But he lashed out at Obama officials, saying that his prosecution was politically motivated,

prompted by sensitivity about classified information amid the scandal involving Clinton's emails.

Saucier's lawyer, Ronald Daigle, said on Monday that the lawsuit, which he expects

to file soon in Manhattan, will name the U.S. Department of Justice, former FBI Director

James Comey, and former President Barack Obama as defendants, among others.

Daigle said that a notice about the pending lawsuit was sent to the Department of Justice,

and others included in it in December.

There is usually a six-month period that must elapse before the lawsuit actually is filed.

"We'll highlight the differences in the way Hillary Clinton was prosecuted and how

my client was prosecuted," said Daigle.

"We're seeking to cast a light on this to show that there's a two-tier justice

system and we want it to be corrected."

Saucier has been able to pick up the pieces and rebuild his life with his wife and young

daughter, thanks to President Trump's pardon.

A felony conviction left him scrambling to find work, but he finally landed a job collecting

garbage.

Now, he works on design and engineering projects for an industrial boiler company.

Things are starting to go in the right direction," he said.

"I work with a group of really great people.

I get to use my skills set.

With a pardon, there's no magic wand, that gets waved and makes everything right.

But I try to stay positive and look forward."

Because of the loss of income during his imprisonment, as well as earning below his potential when

he collected garbage, the 31-year-old and his wife Sadie lost their home to foreclosure.

Then, debt collectors called and their cars were repossessed.

However, things are now headed in the right direction for the young couple, and they've

got President Donald Trump to thank for it.

Some of the people making up stories went over the edge, saying horrible things that

suggest Donald Trump was beating his wife.

While there's absolutely no merit or evidence of any of the nonsense theories, they were

still floating around the web on social media.

Of course, there will always be people who believe everything they read on the Internet.

These are the same people who can barely figure out how to operate their email account, or

they're extremists of their political party.

Either way, the claims are 99.9% fake, but they might provide you with a good laugh.

This was probably the most disgusting accusations and another blog picked it up and tore it

to shreds.

The blog called Chicks on the Right wrote this about the conspiracies floating around

the web from the resisters and tin hats:

She underwent surgery for a "benign" kidney issue on May 14 and has been recovering ever

since.

Over the course of the last few weeks, liberals have developed some gross theories.

(She made a public appearance yesterday, so I guess Trump didn't m****r her after all.)

That's what MSM is running with now, and it's absolutely ludicrous.

Do these people actually realize what they're saying?

They're accusing the President of the United States of BEATING THE FIRST LADY IN THE WHITE

HOUSE.

I seriously doubt Secret Service would let that fly.

There are so many White House leaks that we would ALL know about it yesterday.

No matter who the President is, there is always people who dislike them and say horrible things.

However, to be some guy with a blue check mark on Twitter, who writes for Rolling Stone,

one might think they would act with a little bit more class.

Then again, Twitter does have a history of providing blue verified check marks to numerous

people who act in disgusting ways, with Rosie O'Donnell coming to mind.

Granted, the verification system doesn't exactly go by personality, but it's just

to confirm who someone is.

Either way, it's one of those token rewards that supposedly well-known people get, even

though a lot of the people who have the blue check mark are unknowns.

President Donald Trump just gave Congress a huge surprise when he called on lawmakers

to repeal some of the $1.3 trillion spending bill he signed into law last month.

"We are looking at an enhanced rescission package," new White House economic adviser

Larry Kudlow confirmed, according to the New York Post.

"I think the Republican Party on the Hill has finally figured out it's really not

a bad idea to trim some spending," Kudlow continued.

"Because after all, spending can lead to deficits and spending interferes with the

economy.

President Trump is a deregulator and a tax cutter.

We want a much more modest government role," he continued.

Trump had previously taken to Twitter to threaten to veto the spending bill but caved into signing

the hard-fought bipartisan deal to avoid a government shutdown.

This comes after Paul Ryan announced his retirement on Twitter.

"Serving as speaker has been a great honor.

Now, with all three of my kids in their teens, I am ready to set new priorities.

I intend to serve my full term as I was elected to do.

But I will be retiring in January, leaving this majority in good hands and with a bright

future," Ryan tweeted.

Ryan has endorsed House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy to succeed him as House Speaker,

saying "we all think that Kevin is the right person."

"I fully anticipate handing the gavel over to the next speaker of the House after this

term and I think Kevin is the right guy to step up," Ryan stated.

"One of the reasons why I was comfortable making this decision is because we have a

very capable leadership team," Ryan continued.

"I think we'll have a seamless transition."

Kristian Saucier was one of five people to receive a pardon from President Donald Trump.

So what has the former Navy sailor done so far with his newfound freedom?

Well, he turned right around and got revenge on Hillary Clinton, who is guilty of the same

crime that put him behind bars.

While campaigning for the White House, and after taking office President Donald Trump

frequently voiced support for Kristian Saucier, who in March became the second person Trump

pardoned.

Trump often juxtaposed the Obama administration's handling of Saucier's case with that of

Hillary Clinton, who got away scot-free for doing the same thing on a much bigger scale.

Now, Saucier, who served a year in federal prison for taking photos of classified sections

of the submarine on which he worked, is planning to file a lawsuit against Obama administration

officials, alleging that he was subject to unequal protection of the law.

Saucier argues that the same officials who meted out punishment to him for his actions,

chose to be lenient with Hillary Clinton in her use of a private email server, and handling

of classified information.

"They interpreted the law in my case to say it was criminal, but they didn't prosecute

Hillary Clinton.

Hillary is still walking free.

Two guys on my ship did the same thing and weren't treated as criminals.

We want them to correct the wrong," said Saucier.

"My case was usually something handled by military courts.

They used me as an example because of the backlash over Hillary Clinton."

Saucier, who lives in Vermont, pleaded guilty in 2016 to taking photos inside the USS Alexandria

while it was stationed in Groton, Connecticut, in 2009.

He said he only wanted service mementos, but federal prosecutors argued he was a disgruntled

sailor, who had put national security at risk by taking photos showing the submarine's

propulsion system, and reactor compartment and then obstructed justice by destroying

a laptop and camera.

Saucier said that he recognized he had erred in taking the photos, which he said he wanted

to show only to his family to show them where he worked.

But he lashed out at Obama officials, saying that his prosecution was politically motivated,

prompted by sensitivity about classified information amid the scandal involving Clinton's emails.

Saucier's lawyer, Ronald Daigle, said on Monday that the lawsuit, which he expects

to file soon in Manhattan, will name the U.S. Department of Justice, former FBI Director

James Comey, and former President Barack Obama as defendants, among others.

Daigle said that a notice about the pending lawsuit was sent to the Department of Justice,

and others included in it in December.

There is usually a six-month period that must elapse before the lawsuit actually is filed.

"We'll highlight the differences in the way Hillary Clinton was prosecuted and how

my client was prosecuted," said Daigle.

"We're seeking to cast a light on this to show that there's a two-tier justice

system and we want it to be corrected."

Saucier has been able to pick up the pieces and rebuild his life with his wife and young

daughter, thanks to President Trump's pardon.

A felony conviction left him scrambling to find work, but he finally landed a job collecting

garbage.

Now, he works on design and engineering projects for an industrial boiler company.

Things are starting to go in the right direction," he said.

"I work with a group of really great people.

I get to use my skills set.

With a pardon, there's no magic wand, that gets waved and makes everything right.

But I try to stay positive and look forward."

Because of the loss of income during his imprisonment, as well as earning below his potential when

he collected garbage, the 31-year-old and his wife Sadie lost their home to foreclosure.

Then, debt collectors called and their cars were repossessed.

However, things are now headed in the right direction for the young couple, and they've

got President Donald Trump to thank for it.
