Batman, Gotham City & River Trent to Beeston - 53 - Duration: 7:13.

Hello, thank you very much for watching. So, I'm back on the River Trent. I spent a few

days up at Swarkestone. In particular at Swarkestone you can get a car right next to the boat.

So I man-handled a brand new washer / dryer from my car, inside Alice and It's working

really, really nicely. It's such a change being able to dry my clothes rather than wet

damp ones hanging all over the boat. Normally at this junction, I turn right and go down

the River Soar but today, I'm going to travel East towards Nottingham.

{Music}

It's not a long journey today. The junction here is where the River Soar meets the River

Trent and the Erewash Canal. The river passes the sailing club at the junction and continues

east towards Cranfleet Lock. Once you go through this lock it opens out into the wide river

which winds its way past Attenborough Nature Reserve, which is just to the north. The river

becomes very popular with boats towards the Nottingham western suburb of Beeston where

I'll moor up for the night.

Just south of here is the village of Gotham. You may not have heard about it but what if

I called it Goth-am. The historical madness from the residents of this small Nottinghamshire

village has direct links with Batman and Gotham City.

King John and his entourage of courtiers and soldiers became notorious for taxing people

and stealing from them. He was the villain in the legend of Robin Hood.

Gotham was en-route to Nottingham Castle and any road he travelled on, became a public highway.

The villagers didn't want this so came up with a plan to pretend to be mad to change

the kings plans. In those days it was thought being mad was infectious.

They tried to build a fence around a cuckoo to prevent it from escaping. The village men

would travel to Nottingham market to sell their cheeses. They rolled their cheeses down

local hills hoping they'd roll to the market.

The village blacksmith had a wasps nest in his roof. He tried to destroy the nest with a

red hot poker as the wasps were stinging his customers. Instead, he set fire to the roof

and burnt down his cottage as well.

The trick worked, leading to the saying: "There are more fools pass through Gotham than remain

in it". Villagers were also dubbed the Wise Men of Gotham.

Word of the supposedly foolish acts spread, and they were collected in various books including

The Merry Tales of the Mad Men of Gotham which was published in 1565.

The American author Washington Irving became aware of the tales and was the first person

to link Gotham in England with New York in the United States.

He repeatedly referred to Manhattan as Gotham when writing. In 1807 he compared the wealthy

New Yorkers as being Mad like Gothamites. Bob Kane was a comic book artist and writer

for DC Comics and in 1939 he created the Batman character and based him in Gotham City.

Just coming towards Beeston now. It's really, really popular, lots of cruisers, lots of narrowboats,

both on the river and up on the canal. As you come past Beeston Marina, you do need

to stay on the north side of the river because there's a great big weir very close to the locks.

{Music}

My route now takes me along the Beeston cut into the centre of Nottingham. This is a busy

area with a full set of facilities and a well-stocked chandlery at the marina. There's lots of local

shops and pubs as well as easy access onto trains and buses.

As always, if you've not already subscribed, please do, it doesn't cost you anything and

by clicking the bell icon you'll be notified about future releases. Until next time, see

ya later.

Is the 2018 Nissan Leaf the Best EV Out There? | Model Review - Duration: 8:41.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

CALVIN KIM: Behind me is the 2018 Nissan LEAF.

And alongside its fresh new face,

it gets a new battery for much more range, and a host

of new technology features such as ProPILOT Assist,

which is Nissan's advanced driver-assist functionality.

But with competitors like Chevrolet's Bolt

and to a certain extent Tesla Model 3,

could the Nissan LEAF be the best all-around EV out there?

[MUSIC PLAYING]

First-time electric car buyers don't realize this,

but electric cars have a lot of torque.

And as we're rolling on this on-ramp,

we are rapidly catching up to the car in front of us.

The Nissan LEAF has what sounds like a low number--

146 horsepower.

But it's the torque that really gives it the beans.

It's got about 236 pound-feet of torque.

Don't quote me on that, but 236 is a lot

for a small car like this.

The car weighs about 3,500 pounds, so it's well in line.

I mean, basically, it'd be equivalent to a bigger

engine in a compact car.

Needless to say, acceleration is easy and brisk.

One area where you might find some weakness with the Nissan

LEAF is on the highway.

Right now, we're on a smooth asphalt surface.

But if you're on a concrete highway,

or on a natural surface that's broken up,

like you'll find in just about every major city in the world

today, the low-rolling resistance tires,

which are very hard, transmit a lot

of the edges of the bumps right into the cabin.

It kind of can get annoying.

One of the best advantages of electric vehicles--

number one, regen break, which is regenerative braking.

One thing that they did very cleverly,

though, is give you a switch right on the center

console here called e-Pedal.

And just by clicking the switch, you immediately

engage that regen braking.

Nissan says you can break as much as 2/10

of a "g," which doesn't sound like a lot,

but from our testing it's plenty.

The second advantage of electric vehicles

is their instantaneous torque off the line.

Unlike a gasoline engine or even a hybrid, it's very instant.

With this facelift of LEAF, you get 150 miles of claimed range.

Now, wonderfully for us, if you put it in ECO mode

and enable e-Pedal, you can get a lot more than that.

With our long-term LEAF, we've been

able to drive it a little bit already.

And we've routinely gotten over 150 miles

with those features enabled.

That's great news for commuters, especially

those that drive a little bit longer distances.

So they can go a week without charging.

Now, for EV owners, the best way to do it

is to charge every night.

But, hey, if you're going to go visit a friend's house,

or maybe go across town to hang out somewhere,

it's nice to have that option.

The Nissan puts the charger port right

at the front, which is super convenient for nose-in parking.

It comes with a cable.

And this is a level 2 cable.

So if you have a 240-volt outlet at home,

you can go ahead and plug it in and get the max capable

that the charger will give you.

Now, there is an on-board charger

that modulates that power.

And that's a 6.6 kilowatt charger.

Now, what that means is this is a 40-kilowatt battery.

You can kind of do the math to see how long that'll

take you to charge.

This car also has the optional CHAdeMO charger.

CHAdeMO is a Japanese word that basically translates to, hey,

let's grab some tea, which is the idea behind the charging

system.

Now, it's a DC charger which is direct current--

which basically feeds a massive amount of voltage--

4 or 500 volts at high amounts directly to the battery.

It's not something you want to do every day.

With that much current and that much voltage,

you're going to cause a lot of heat

to the battery which, as you know,

heat and batteries don't mix.

So use it sparingly.

Compared to its competitors, the LEAF prices pretty well.

Now, in this SL trim with the ProPILOT Assist

and everything like that, that'll

set you back a little over $37,000.

That's a little bit less than the Bolt.

Obviously, a lot less than the Model 3.

And the federal tax credit is still available for this car,

so you can get out the door for a lot less than that.

You do get a lot of car for your money.

The biggest attractor, though, will be the range.

Both the Bolt and the Tesla Model 3

have a lot more range than the LEAF does.

That's a fair point.

But the reality is most electric car owners--

they're not using all those miles all at once.

In a commuting environment, you're

maybe using 40 to 60 miles at a chop, which

means this car is totally fine, even for emergency side trips.

Now, for those that are truly range conscious that really do

want to go on longer trips, rumor

has it that Nissan LEAF-- bringing out

a higher range LEAF next year, one with a 60-kilowatt battery

that cracks the 200 barrier.

Even if you're on the fence about that,

this standard range LEAF with 150 miles

is nothing to sneeze at.

Definitely one of the coolest features of the LEAF

is ProPILOT Assist.

Now, it's not an autonomous driving system.

What it is, though, is a very, very connected

driver-assist system.

Now, just one button push on the steering wheel

enables the system.

And then to turn it on, you just activate your cruise control.

Now, what that gives you is adaptive cruise control,

which keeps the distance from ourselves and the car in front.

It does lane centering, so it keeps the car

in the center of the road.

And it'll even bring you to a complete stop.

It's not a self-driving car.

All it's doing is just keeping it in the center

and at a safe distance from the car in front.

In an interesting twist of fate, this system actually

works pretty darn good, even alongside the Tesla's Autopilot

system.

Now, the Tesla has the advantage of GPS and a connected system,

where it knows road conditions to a certain extent.

The Nissan does not have that feature set.

But considering the price premium that Autopilot has

and that Tesla has, we believe ProPILOT is a fantastic

addition to the Nissan LEAF.

Inside the Nissan LEAF, you'll find

a pretty much traditional car.

Materials are good.

There's not a lot of busyness with the colors and design

choices.

We're in the top SL model, so the seats

are this nice leather with microsuede inserts.

The controls-- again, easy to use, well laid out.

Again, it's more like a regular car, instead of maybe a science

project, or a sci-fi set you'll find in some of the other EVs.

On our SL model, we have the top-level Bose

7-speaker surround sound system.

It includes a head unit that is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

compatible.

Now, the system itself has its own navigation built into it.

And you can use that to find charging stations

and addresses, like you normally would any other navigation

system.

But you may find using your smartphone

to be a little bit easier.

Another technology item that interfaces your head unit

is the surround-view camera.

When you put it in reverse, or you hit the camera button right

on the dash, there's a bunch of cameras

around the car that turn on.

And that gives you not only a rear or front view,

but in a third person kind of above the car

view, so you can see if there's any obstacles

alongside the car.

One of the best benefits for the Nissan LEAF is the back seat.

Not only is it sized for full-size adults,

the seat itself is very comfortable.

An interesting aspect of having the battery under the floor

means that the floor itself is a little bit higher.

So even though from the outside the Nissan looks pretty tall,

on the inside it's a little bit more like a traditional car.

That's not such a bad thing.

I'm 6 foot tall, and I still fit in the back of the LEAF.

No problem.

But the seat's elevated to make room

for that battery, which means even in the back seat,

I can still see down the road.

The Nissan LEAF is a hatchback, which means, obviously,

it's got a big hatch.

A lot of the interior cargo room with the seats folded up.

The rear seats do fold 60/40.

You'll find that once you do fold them up,

there is a bit of a shelf from the seatback to the cargo

floor.

But I'd say that between its comp competitors,

this general cargo area is very useful--

the low-loading height, and a nice, deep floor,

and a tall ceiling height.

So you can fit taller cargo, bulkier cargo in a little bit

easier.

Is the LEAF the bestseller EV on the market today?

Well, it's not the fastest.

It doesn't have the most range.

And it's not the sexiest.

But it's got a lot of utility.

It's very comfortable, and it's a great value.

But probably the most important thing--

it's available now.

A quanto pare Flavio è ancora single.

Nessun miracolo, nessun segreto nascosto: attività fisica, punto. (Continua dopo la foto) Braccia toniche, addome scolpito, gambe affusolate e lato B da fare invidia alle ventenni

Pazzesca Elisabetta! E i fan apprezzano.

Stone Cold Steve Austin Gave His Famous King Of The Ring Promo 22 Years Ago Today - Duration: 5:41.

Anyone who watched wrestling throughout the 90s will know of the pure excitement that the latter half of the decade brought

When someone mentions the attitude era there's a couple of names that spring to mind, such as The Rock, D-Generation X, Mick Foley, The Undertaker, to name a few

One man, however, proved more important than the rest: Stone Cold Steve Austin. The man who crossed the boss

The Texas Rattlesnake. The beer swigging redneck. The toughest S.O.B in the WWF(E)

via GIPHY Austin helped usher in a new wave of content for the company, which eventually prompted Vince McMahon to state that "we think that you're tired of the same old simplistic theory of 'good guys vs

bad guys.' Surely the era of the superhero urging you to say your prayers and take your vitamins is definitely passe

" It was 1996, at the King of the Ring, one this very day, that The Texas Rattlesnake would make huge impact as he slowly shed the skin of his previous gimmick 'The Ringmaster'

After defeating WWE Hall of Famer Jake 'The Snake' Roberts in the final of the KotF tournament, Austin gave a speech that would go on the become the most infamous promo of all time

"The first thing I want to be done is to get that piece of crap out of my ring. Don't just get him out of the ring, get him out of the WWF, because I proved, son, without a shadow of a doubt, that you ain't got what it takes anymore

"You sit there, and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere

Talk about your Psalms, talk about John 3:16 - Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass

"All he's gotta do is go buy him a cheap bottle of Thunderbird and try to get back some of that courage he had in his prime

"As the King of the Ring, I'm servin' notice to every one of the 'WWF superstars

' I don't give a damn what they are, they're all on the list, and that's Stone Cold's list, and I'm fixin' to start runnin' through all of them

"As far as this championship match is considered, son, I don't give a damn if it's Davey Boy Smith or Shawn Michaels

Steve Austin's time has come, and when I get the shot, you're lookin' at the next WWF Champion, and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so

"  via GIPHY And of course, he wasn't messing about. He went on to capture the WWF(E) Championship six times, as well as win the Royal Rumble three times, the tag titles four times, and eventually earn his rightful place in the Hall of Fame

Most importantly, he'd be a constant figure in the Monday Night Wars, as both WWE and WCW traded blows in a rating rivalry

WCW took an early lead, as both Monday Night Raw and Monday Nitro aired in the same time slots, thanks to an influx of stars jumping ship from Vinny Mac's company to Eric Bischoff's

However, thanks to what was a much more entertaining marketing scheme, WWE came out on top, and remains in the top spot to this day

Trump After Destroying Bush & Clinton, I'm Going After The Deep State - Duration: 11:41.

Trump After Destroying Bush & Clinton, I'm Going After The Deep State

President Trump has vowed to completely destroy the Deep State who are actively plotting to

bring him down.

During an appearance on Fox News on Friday, Trump said he's "proud" that he took

down the Bush and Clinton dynasties and has now set his sights on Deep State operatives

who are seeking to undermine him.

Information Liberation reports: "I'm actually proud because I beat Clinton dynasty," Trump

told Fox News's Steve Doocy during an interview on the White House lawn.

"I beat the Bush dynasty."

"Now I guess, hopefully I'm in the process of beating very dishonest intelligence because,

what they did was incredible, and a real insult to millions of people that voted in that election,"

Trump said.

President Trump told Fox News on Friday morning he's "proud" because he took down the

Bush and Clinton dynasties despite dishonest intelligence agencies "plotting against"

his election.

"I'm actually proud because I beat Clinton dynasty," Trump told Fox News's Steve

Doocy during an interview on the White House lawn.

"I beat the Bush dynasty."

"Now I guess, hopefully I'm in the process of beating very dishonest intelligence because,

what they did was incredible, and a real insult to millions of people that voted in that election,"

Trump said.

Transcript via RCP:

STEVE DOOCY, FOX & FRIENDS: You know, the IG report came out yesterday.

The FBI looked bad.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Very bad.

DOOCY: Your FBI.

TRUMP: Well, no.

It was Comey having to do.

We're talking about Comey not my FBI.

It was Comey.

The people in the FBI are incredible.

I would bet if you took a poll in the FBI I would win that poll by more than anybody's

ever won a poll.

But the top people were horrible.

You look at what happened.

They were plotting against my election.

Probably has never happened like that in terms of intelligence, in terms of anything else.

But they were actually plotting against my election.

DOOCY: The headline right now –

TRUMP: I'm actually proud, because I beat the Clinton dynasty.

DOOCY: Right.

TRUMP: I beat Bush dynasty, and now I guess hopefully I'm in the process of beating

very dishonest intelligence.

Because what they did was incredible and a real insult to millions of people that voted

in that election on both sides.

DOOCY: The headline right now from the Wall Street Journal, DOJ Clinton report blasts

Comey and agents defines no bias in conclusion.

TRUMP: Well, the end result was wrong.

I mean there was total bias.

I mean when you look at Peter Strzok and what he said about me, when you look at Comey all

his moves.

So I guess – you know it's interesting it was a pretty good report and then I say

that the IG blew it at the very end with that statement because when you read the report

it was almost like Comey.

He goes point after point about how guilty Hillary is and then he said but we're not

going to do anything about it.

The report, the IG report was a horror show.

I thought that one sentence of conclusion was ridiculous.

Trump unquestionably saw this interview with Seymour Hersh on CNN Wednesday:

Hersh, who is anti-Trump, praised Trump for taking down the Bush and Clinton dynasties

and said he's crushing the media as evidence by his poll numbers rising despite unprecedented

hostility.

"He's going up in ratings," Hersh told CNN's Don Lemon.

"I don't see the Democratic party doing anything but basically running sort of as

Hillary did, running against him for the last two months against him in the last two months

of the campaign.

And I'm not sure if I'm not in the major city in America, I'm not sure — this guy

is different.

And I think people are tired of politicians and he appeals for a lot of reasons that maybe

we don't all understand, I certainly don't understand him.

He's got 48%, 47% of the people.

He appeals to them.

There's something about him.

This is a guy that took down 13 Republicans with a history of more than 200 years of political

life."

Hersh said the media should calm the hell down as they're playing into Trump's hand

by being totally hysterical at all times.

"I sometimes think that we underestimate Trump but that's just my opinion," Hersh

said.

"I always like to tack the other way, I guess.

But it seems to me that the news media, I always view disliking Trump is like catnip

for American audiences.

It seems obviously television is doing much better… you guys are getting better ratings,

the New York papers and 'The Washington Post,' they are getting more audience and

going after Trump is really good news."

"…there was a time when the media was trusted.

You go back to the old days of networks and those days are long gone.

I always felt like when I worked at the 'New York Times' what we wrote was trusted.

We now have a situation where a lot of people tune in to what they like and don't listen

to what they don't like.

It's good for cable television on both sides.

For FOX News and for MSNBC and CNN, you guys.

You've got great ratings.

You're making money.

… I think 'The New York Times' every quarter says it's picked up another 200,000

subscriptions because they're very critical of Trump.

And so we have this notion if you don't like Trump, you're going to go here.

If you like Trump, you're going to go somewhere else.

So, where is the middle ground?

Where is the media that is skeptic?

Where is the media that whatever they say will have some standing, it's not going

to be tuned out by 40% of the people, whatever percentage."

"We're playing his game, that's what bothers me," Hersh said.

He doesn't seem to realize the big names like CNN and the New York Times tried to moderate

their tone after Trump's election but saw their viewership and readership plummet while

the more hysterical publications saw their numbers shoot through the roof.

They gave up on moderating their tone after about one week and it's been constant hysteria

ever since.

So-called liberals like Rachel Maddow are now out bashing Trump for trying to make peace

with North Korea and Democrats like Nancy Pelosi are defending MS-13 as angels of god.

Note, any time these old media hands say the media used to be "trusted" and we used

to have a "middle ground," that just means they were able to set the narrative and determine

what is truth — irrespective of reality.

The divide which is occurring is with those who still accept the lies of the controlled

media versus those who are waking up to how they've been creating fake history and lying

to the American public for the last 100 years.

DEVIN NUNES ON FIRE If DOJ Doesn't Turn Over Documents…They'll Have "Hell To Pay" - Duration: 16:01.

DEVIN NUNES ON FIRE If DOJ Doesn't Turn Over Documents…They'll Have "Hell To

Pay"

Rep. Devin Nunes joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures and let it rip on the

DOJ…He threatened that if they didn't turn over requested documents by Monday, there

would be 'hell to pay'.

The requested documents have even been subpoenaed but the Department of Justice has been slow

walking everything.

Nunes even said the DOJ is trying to "run out the clock" to the end of this season

of Congress.

The subpoenaed documents pertain to FISA abuse investigation and the Russia investigation.

Nunes has been a straight shooter throughout his tenure as Chairman of the Intel Committee

and is FED UP with the stonewalling from the DOJ and FBI.

Contempt of Congress is a possible charge if documents aren't turned over.

Let's hope he follows through with his threat!

Gateway Pundit reports:

Rep. Devin Nunes: The deadline is this week.

So if documents begin to be turned over tomorrow and a clear way and path forward for everything

else is not clear here in the next couple of days there's going to be hell to pay

by Wednesday morning…

All of the members of the House of Representatives are going to start taking action against the

Department of Justice and FBI.

Maria Bartiromo: Taking action meaning contempt of Congress?

How to Overcome Shyness - Duration: 6:22.

If the girl with whom we are talking with is not so beautiful, then we don't feel so

shy.

But, if the girl with whom we are talking with, is the most beautiful girl in the college

and every guy in the college has a crush on her, then in that case forget about approaching

her, even if she asks for something then also some of us feel nervous and shy.

So why this happens?

The answer is, in those situations where we consider ourselves not worthy or incompatible,

if we get into those situations then we start to feel uncomfortable and shy.

And if you don't conquer your shyness then in life not only girls but also many job opportunities

can be missed by you.

What happens, all the time in our mind we keep judging ourselves and the other people,

and based on that we compare ourselves with others.

After the comparison is done, we either put them in a higher position than us or put them

at a lower position.

Those whom we put at a lower position is not a problem for us but those whom we put at

a higher position, when we go to talk to them, we feel scared and shy.

So clearly there can be two possible solutions of this, 1.

Thinking yourself equal with everyone, that is no one is greater than you or no one is

less than you and 2.

Thinking yourself the greatest.

The first option is what we call confidence and the 2nd option is what we call overconfidence.

We all know that confidence is good but overconfidence is not good at all.

So let's see how to utilize the first option that is how to build that confidence so that

we can think ourselves equal with everyone.

Smart idea 1: Is it right?

Suppose that beautiful girl in your college is sitting in front of you.

Now suddenly a pen drops from his bag, she doesn't notice it, but you have noticed it.

Now you are feeling shy to tell her that.

You are thinking, who knows what she may think, what if she assume something bad about me.

May be she will not assume something bad, she may be glad also.

So, here the main problem is your over thinking.

And the question that will help you to overcome your over thinking is, is it right?

Should I say it?

If the answer you get is, yes I should tell that and also it is right then whatever may

be the other person thinks, it should not bother you.

Because you have told it with good intentions, now if the other person makes something different

meaning of that then it is his or her problem.

You have told what seemed to you right and necessary.

So, why feel shy or scared about it?

Yes if you have done any mistake then that is a different thing.

But if something is needed and that is good also then there is no place of being shy about

that.

Like some of us even feel shy to go to a shop and ask the shopkeeper for something to buy,

why?

I need that thing, I am here to buy it with money, That thing is supposed to be in that

shop, and the shopkeeper is sitting there to sell it, so what is here to feel shy about?

In any situation whenever you will feel shy, you have to ask this type of questions to

yourself.

Only then you can stop over thinking and conquer your shyness.

Smart idea 2: Proper dress & hygine Hertfordshire university's professor Karen

Pine had conducted many different researches to find out the effect of our dressing on

our self confidence.

She has scientifically described all her research findings in her book "Mind what you wear".

You can check the book by following the link given below in the description.

It has been found from her research that when students wore superhero tshirts they perfomed

with more confidence in different tests.

On the other hand when the students wore swimming costume to appear in a math test, all of them

under performed in that test.

You may also have noticed it yourself, that when you dress well you feel a little more

confident.

So it is important to have a good dressing sense to increase your confidence.

Now, how to improve your dressing sense, for that I am sharing some main tips,

1.

Your dress should not be too tight or too loose, it must be well fitted.

2.

You should dress according to the situation.

That is, it shouldn't be the case that you are going out with your friends and you have

dressed like going for an interview.

3.

Most important, the dress should be neat and clean

4.

The color of your dress must be suitable with your skin tone.

Next is hygiene.

Your hair, nail, beard all must be well trimmed always.

And it doesn't matter whether your skin tone is fair or dark, it is important that you

maintain a well hygiene.

Because suppose someone has a very fair skin tone but his teeths have become yellowish,

he knows when he talk, he smells bad, then it is natural he will feel shy to talk with

others.

If you are well dressed and you maintain a well hygiene then your self image will be

many times improved, which will mainly help you to conquer your shyness.

Smart idea 3: Practice Suppose you have never sung even in front

of 5 people, and now suddenly if you have to sing in front of thousands of people then

it is obvious that you will feel shy.

Because you have no experience in that.

In any work, confidence comes from experience.

And experience comes from practice.

So, in those situations when you feel uncomfortable and shy, don't run away from them, instead

of that try to face them regularly.

If you feel shy to talk with the girls then apply these two smart ideas and make use of

those chances instead of avoiding them.

What could be worse?

They may make fun of you, if someone smile because of you then I think it is a good thing.

Because not everyone can do that.

So at the end let's quickly sum up the whole video.

To conquer your shyness, 1.

To stop over thinking ask questions to yourself 2.

Always maintain proper dress and well hygiene 3.

Don't try to avoid those situations, instead of try to face them.

As the American rapper Kanye West said, "Believe in your flyness, and conquer your shyness"

At last a little request to you.

If you find this video useful, then please share it with your friends.

Because by sharing you can also help to change someone's life.

Next video is on the next Sunday.

Thanks for watching.

More wisdom, more solution, better life.

Meghan Markle appeared to forget one major etiquette rule while with the Queen - Duration: 2:41.

Meghan Markle and the Queen attended Royal Ascot recently, and the pair appear to have struck up a good relationship since the Duchess of Sussex married Prince Harry in May 2018

Meghan has settled into the family well, making public appearances with everyone, including Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince William, and has proven herself in the fashion stakes too

However, Meghan is still new to royal life, and there are some things, like when to curtsey to the Queen, that she is still learning

And at Ascot it appeared Meghan - who often wears shoes that are too big for her for a very clever reason - forgot one vital rule while speaking to her new husband

According to the BBC, etiquette guidelines mean you aren't supposed to turn your back on the Queen, as it is considered 'rude'

And as Meghan can be seen chatting to Harry and Prince Charles with the Queen stood just behind her in shots taken at the races, this could be considered a faux paux on the new Duchess' behalf

However, the royal website sates there are "no obligatory codes of behaviour when meeting The Queen", but they also add: "…but many people wish to observe the traditional forms

"Here are some of the other unofficial guidelines of what to do when it comes to meeting the Queen…

Boundaries, It's advised not to touch her majesty, although a handshake is acceptable if she offers first

Michelle Obama caused a stir when she put her arm round the Queen for a photo in the past

Don't pry, Small talk is acceptable, but people are recommended not to ask personal questions

Don't leave before the queen, It's important to wait until the queen has left an event, unless permission has been granted through a private secretary

Curtsey, A curtsey or a bow of the head is customary when greeting the Queen - a move that Meghan has already perfected with the help of Kate Middleton

10 Scary Things They Never Taught You In School - Duration: 7:16.

• What condition can cause your eyes to literally explode?

What is causing a mass-extinction event on the same level as the death of the dinosaurs,

right now as we speak?

From the death of the universe to things living on your eyelashes, here are 10 scary facts

they didn't teach you about in school.

10 – The Microbes are Coming • The whole concept of a world-killing super-virus

sounds like it's the stuff of outlandish science-fiction.

• But it gets closer to reality with every cure, every vaccine, and every antibiotic.

• Viruses, like everything else, are subject to evolutionary pressures.

They mutate to avoid the body's immune system, and to make sure they can transmit to other

hosts.

• And the more they mutate, the harder they get to kill.

The flu virus is already mutating so fast, vaccines are only good for a single season.

• If things continue like this, we may eventually see a virus that is immune to all known forms

of treatment.

9 – Evolutionary taste • Every wonder why everything that tastes

good is bad for you?

It's because we've literally evolved that way.

• Our hunter-gatherer ancestors lived at a time when things like salt, sugar, and fats

were hard to come by.

• At that time, it made sense to consume those fattening foods whenever possible, because

not getting ENOUGH calories was a bigger problem than getting too MANY.

So our taste buds adapted to really reward us for those foods.

• Of course, now you can just buy a sugary or salty snack in a matter of a few seconds,

with just the change in your pocket.

But our taste buds still tell us they're good, even though they're not – at least not in

the quantities we can eat them.

8 – Humans = Extinction • The world has gone through five mass extinction

events in its history.

In each of those events, a particular event has caused 75 percent or more of known multi-cellular

species on Earth to go extinct.

• One of the best-known is the theorized meteor impact that ended the age of the dinosaurs.

• But biologists believe we are currently living through the planet's sixth mass extinction

event.

And this one isn't being caused by a meteor impact, it's being caused by humans.

• The expansion of humans to different continents correlates directly with a disruption of the

food chain, and extinctions in those areas.

7 – Eyelash Mites • There are bugs on your eyelashes.

Right now.

And there's nothing you can do about it.

• Luckily, there's nothing you really NEED to do about it.

Eyelash mites are about a third of a millimeter long, and they feed on your dead skin and

hair cells.

• They don't really do much to you that's bad, other than gross you out when you think

about them.

• The only real way to remove them is with a controversial tea tree oil treatment, that

is FAR more likely to damage your eyes than anything the mites can do.

6 – The "Big Rip" • You know the Big Bang, right?

THAT is something they teach you in school.

• What they DON'T go into is some of the cosmological theories for the ultimate fate

of the universe.

• Spoilers – none of them are much fun.

• The Big Rip is an especially terrifying one where the expansion of the universe eventually

creates singularities at a specific point in time.

And at that point in time, all physical matter in the universe literally tears itself apart.

5 – Butts First • When a human embryo is forming, what do

you think develops first?

• The heart?

The brain?

The mouth?

• Nope.

The first development of the human embryo is the anus.

The mouth is second.

• Because dammit, you might not be able to breathe or think, but you can eat and shit.

4 – Dark Flow • There is... something... tearing the universe

apart.

• It's a type of energy that scientists haven't exactly identified yet, but there

is something unexplained that has pulled on parts of even our own galaxy.

• The theory of dark flow is a controversial one, but many astrophysicists believe it's

an indicator of a vast multiverse, beyond our ability to see with any telescope.

3 – Belly Button Rainforests • You've probably heard people say something

along the lines of "your body is a temple" before.

• That's just a metaphor, but here's a real comparision – your belly button is a rainforest.

• Okay, no, you're not growing a jungle in there or anything.

Or at least you're not if you've ever had a shower in your life.

• But your belly button is home to thousands of different types of microscopic creatures.

In fact, there are over 14 hundred types of bacteria in your belly button that don't exist

anywhere else.

• Literally, your belly button is a whole ecosystem for bacteria and other microbes,

and it has a comparable amount of biodiversity to an actual rainforest.

2 - Christopher Columbus • There's a very good chance that everything

you were taught in school about Christopher Columbus was either a lie, or it left out

a TON of details.

• Put simply, Columbus didn't discover America – he landed in the West Indies, and he wasn't

even the first one THERE.

• But more importantly, Columbus was a bad person.

Like, REALLY bad.

• He and his men are well known for raping Native women and murdering and enslaving the

peaceful tribes that greeted them for no reason.

In two years, about 250 thousand Natives were dead.

• Babies were taken from their mothers and had their heads smashed against rocks.

Columbus also used, and sold, sex slaves – some of them as young as 9 years old.

• His atrocities got to be too much for even his own men.

In 1500, he was returned to Spain, arrested and chained, and had his governor title stripped.

1 – Exploding eyes • What's pretty much the worst thing you

can imagine happening to your eyeballs?

• Whatever you're thinking of, EXPLODING has to be pretty high up on the list.

• Fuchs' Corneal Dystrophy is a rare genetic condition that typically goes unnoticed until

it's too late.

It causes the cornea to fill up with a gel that increases the pressure in your eyeball.

• If it goes unchecked, the pressure can build to the point that the eyeballs can simply

explode without warning.

Meghan Markle's dad DESPERATE to reunite warring family and meet Prince Harry after missing royal we - Duration: 3:06.

Meghan Markle's dad is desperate to reunite the new Duchess of Sussex with her warring family as soon as possible

Thomas, 73, wants her to fly to America to make peace with siblings Samantha, 53, and Thomas Junior, 51, after their pre-wedding fall-out

He is now said to be anxiously waiting to hear when he can see his daughter and finally meet Prince Harry after missing last month's Royal Wedding because of a heart operation

A source revealed: "Thomas really wants to bring them all back together."His aim is for them to move forward as a family and he's hopeful something can happen within months

"Meghan, 36, didn't invite either of her half-siblings to her Windsor Castle nuptials after both publicly and repeatedly criticised her in the lead up to the ceremony

Samantha, who has not spoken to Meghan since 2015, hit out at her several times for not inviting more family members

Only the bride's mum Doria Ragland was there on her big day. Thomas Jnr even warned Prince Harry not to marry her in a scathing open letter which he has since described as a "moment of madness"

The source added: "The truth is Meghan never heard a lot of what was being said by her siblings because Prince Harry shielded her from a lot of it in the run-up to the wedding

"Meghan's dad knows it still won't be easy after everything that has gone on, but he believes it's worth a try

"He loves them all and wants to draw a line under it all now and for them all to realise the importance of family

"Thomas is sick of feeling like he's stuck in the middle."Thomas Snr, who lives alone in Rosarito, Mexico, was in regular contact with Meghan before the wedding as he tried to build bridges between her and his two children from an earlier marriage

He caused an international furore earlier this week after being paid for an ITV Good Morning Britain interview

He told how he made Harry, 33, vow never to "raise his hand" against Meghan before he would give his blessing to the marriage – and how his daughter cried when she found out he would not be giving her away because of his operation

He said Harry was open to the idea of Brexit and added the Prince had urged him to give Donald Trump a chance

Border Patrol Treating Dogs Better Than Kids? - Duration: 6:08.

THIS

IS A STORY TYT INVESTIGATES DISCOVERED, IT'S

BROUGHT TO YOU BY KEN KLIPPENSTEIN, IT'S A SMALL STORY

ABOUT THE IMMIGRATION SITUATION BUT IT'S NOT ABOUT KIDS, IT'S

ABOUT DOGS.

BUT THE COMPARISON IS UNCOMFORTABLE.

LET ME GO TO

THE STORY -- INSTEAD OF SPACE BLANKETS, AND OF COURSE YOU

REMEMBER THE KIDS THAT ARE BEING SEPARATED FROM THEIR FAMILIES,

OR THE ONES THAT CAME IN UNACCOMPANIED, ARE GETTING SPACE

BLANKETS AND SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR, SOME ARE, KEN EXPLAINS --

MORE DETAILS ON HOW THE DOGS ARE TREATED AS OPPOSED TO HUMANS

--

NOW, AM I HAPPY THAT THE DOGS ARE BEING TREATED WELL?

GREAT.

GOD, I WISH WE TREATED THE KIDS AS WELL.

NOW, MORE FROM THE

WEBSITE OF THIS COMPANY THAT'S TAKING CARE OF THE DOGS FOR

CUSTOMS AND BORDER PROTECTION, THEY DECLARE ON THEIR WEBSITE --

NOW, AGAIN, I GET IT, I UNDERSTAND IT, I'M GLAD THEY ARE

TREATING THE DOGS WELL, BUT IT IS A STARK JUXTAPOSITION TO THE

STORIES WE HEAR ABOUT HOW THE CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE

HELD BY ANYONE.

SO IF THEY ARE CRYING THEY CAN'T CONSOLE THEM,

AND THEIR PARENTS AREN'T THERE, THOSE ARE ADULTS, I UNDERSTAND

WHY THEY HAVE THAT RULE, BUT THEY DO NOT GET LOVING CARE.

THERE IS A REPORT THAT WE BROKE, AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT

ATTENDANTS SAYING THAT THE PEOPLE TRANSPORTING THE KIDS

WOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO EAT THE FOOD WHILE THE PEOPLE DOING THE

TRANSPORTING ATE THE FOOD RIGHT NEXT TO THEM.

THEY WOULDN'T

ALLOW THEM TO WATCH THE ENTERTAINMENT, THEY WOULDN'T

ALLOW THEM TO INTERACT WITH ANYONE OR LOOK ANYONE IN THE

EYE.

SO THE DOGS GET LOVING CARE BUT THE HUMANS NOT SO MUCH.

SO

AS KLIPPENSTEIN POINTS OUT --

AND FINALLY THE ONE THAT REALLY ACTUALLY GOT TO ME WAS

THIS PART --

THE

KIDS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE PRISONERS, AND THEY ARE NOT

ANIMALS.

LET THEM OUTSIDE.

TWO HOURS OUTSIDE, THERE IS NO

REASON FOR IT.

I GET THAT YOU CAN'T LET THEM LEAVE, I

UNDERSTAND IT, BUT -- AND IT'S NOT A MATTER OF WHETHER WE ALLOW

THEM TO STAY IN THE COUNTRY ARE NOT.

THE QUESTION IS HOW

HUMANELY DO WE TREAT THEM WHEN THEY ARE IN THE COUNTRY

TEMPORARILY?

YES WE CAN ALLOW THEM TO GO OUTSIDE WITHIN

CONFINED AREAS FOR MORE THAN TWO HOURS A DAY.

WE CAN LET THE DOGS

DO IT, WHY CAN'T WE LET THE KIDS DO IT?

MAN, IT'S HEARTBREAKING

THAT WE ARE TREATING SOME ANIMALS BETTER THAN WE TREAT

THOSE KIDS IN THOSE DETENTION CENTERS.

YOU KNOW, A LOT OF

TIMES THERE'S TALK ABOUT HOW WHEN AUTHORITARIAN GOVERNMENTS

GO TO DEHUMANIZE PEOPLE THEY COMPARE THEM TO ANIMALS, WHICH

TRUMP DID, THEY TALK ABOUT HOW THEY CARRY DISEASE AND THEY

INFEST A COUNTRY, AND TRUMP DID ALL OF THOSE.

BUT A LOT OF

PEOPLE IN AMERICA LOVE THEIR DOGS, OF COURSE, WHICH IS A

GREAT THING, SO THEY VIEW THE DOGS AS INNOCENT.

THAT'S TRUE,

AND THAT'S A GREAT THING.

BUT WE'VE GOT REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMEN

ON TV SAYING ARE THOSE REALLY INNOCENT KIDS, AND WERE THE

PARENTS REALLY INNOCENT?

MAYBE IT'S TERRORISTS TRYING TO

SMUGGLE IN KIDS OR MS-13 TRYING TO SMUGGLE THEMSELVES IN WITH

THE KIDS, WITH NO EVIDENCE AT ALL.

SO THE IDEA IS THEY ARE

GUILTY, THEY ARE GUILTY.

SO TO THEM MAYBE IT DOES MAKE MORE

SENSE TO TREAT THE DOGS MORE HUMANELY THAN THEY TREAT ACTUAL

HUMAN BEINGS.

THEY THINK THE DOGS ARE INNOCENT, I DON'T KNOW

ABOUT THOSE FIVE-YEAR-OLD KIDS THOUGH.

Joachim Low praises Germany for keeping their cool in win over Sweden - Duration: 3:45.

coach Joachim Low praised his players for keeping their nerve during a 'roller coaster ride' as a late 2-1 win over reignited their hopes

The defending champions' chances of making the knockout stages looked slim as, after Marco Reus' goal cancelled out Marcus Berg's opener, Jerome Boateng was sent off for a second bookable offence

However, midfielder Toni Kroos scored deep into five minutes of added time to put them back on track in Group F

'Something I did appreciate today is that we didn't lose our nerves and break out in panic after conceding a goal

We kept a level head,' said Low, who revealed midfielder Sebastian Rudy broke his nose after being accidentally caught by a boot in the first half

'We never lost hope. Obviously the goal we scored in stoppage time was a bit lucky but it is always a result of our belief in ourselves

'I was very pleased for him (Kroos) because he was involved in the mistake which led to 's goal

'Of course this was a thriller, full of emotions and a roller coaster ride right up to the final whistle

'We have to play against South Korea in order to be sure we make it to the next round and then everything is open, we will take it as it comes

' coach Janne Andersson was unhappy his side were not awarded a penalty early in the first half when Boateng appeared to catch Berg as he ran through on goal

Polish referee Szymon Marciniak was in no mood to either award a spot-kick or consult VAR and the boss felt that was a mistake

'I'm not going to cast any blame - I haven't watched the situation myself - I can only refer you to the people on our team who have said this is a clear penalty,' he said

'If we had got that penalty awarded that is possibly what we might have needed to cope with a team like

'If we have this (VAR) system it is is unfortunate he (Marciniak) feels so secure in the live situation he doesn't go and have a look

'

World Cup: Germany given a second chance by Toni Kroos, but are Joachim Low's team equipped to take - Duration: 4:33.

With one true swing of the right boot, Toni Kroos gave Germany life again.Less than a minute from a result which would have left their hopes in the far from trustworthy hands of their rivals, the world champions were handed the rarest of World Cup gifts — a second chance

For a large portion of its game against Sweden, Germany looked like becoming the latest in a long line of fallen champions, and the fourth reigning champ in the past five World Cups to bow out in the group stage

Down to a delightfully delicate Ola Toivanen chip at the break, Marco Reus pulled it back level straight after half-time, but a draw would not have been enough to secure a good night's sleep for the Germans

This was a must-win game, and for about 94 minutes that task looked unachievable. And then, Kroos

The man who had been so lacklustre in the heart of a sluggish midfield against Mexico, and who had sloppily given the ball away for Sweden's shell-shocking opener, stood over the dead ball and produced something truly special

His free-kick, one of unbelievable technique and audacity, was not only redemption for his struggling team but for himself

Kroos knows what pressure feels like, a career with Real Madrid and Germany ensures that, and he embraced this moment like he was born for it

But the time for reflection and celebration is short for Germany. This result merely spares them the executioner's axe for one game more, and won't be enough to take Die Mannschaft off the chopping block for good

If Joachim Low can't see his team's problems now, he never will. The fact the same issues that were blindingly apparent against Mexico remained on show against Sweden is cause for concern enough, but should they appear again against South Korea or in the second round, Low will cop a pasting from fans and press alike back home

His side's suicidally high line, deployed using defenders and midfielders who aren't especially quick and with the full-backs heavily advanced, has been exposed by both Germany's opponents so far

Against Mexico, one of the most impressive sides of the tournament so far, Germany was lucky as El Tri wasted many a promising counter-attacking opportunity

Sweden wasn't as swift as Mexico on the break, but still broke Germany open much too easily, scoring once in transition and making a serious claim for a penalty with another

Really good teams, the sorts of teams the Germans would have expected to play from the quarter-finals onwards, will not be so generous

Play with fire against Spain, Brazil, Belgium, France or maybe even this current England team, and the result will be a frightful burning

On the ball, Germany is patient and pretty but its uncharacteristic wastefulness has been a killer

Thomas Muller, normally a marksman to be feared at the World Cup, has barely had a sniff and young striker Timo Werner has not yet played to his potential — that Low has turned to Mario Gomez off the bench in both games stinks of desperation

Reus's inclusion reaped rewards, but came at the expense of Mesut Ozil, a player whose craft is confused for nonchalance and was made to pay a price for the Mexico loss

There is room for both in a Germany side functioning properly. So we wait for answers as to the validity of Germany's challenge, and whether Kroos's moment of magic is the sort of morale-boost that inspires a spirited resurgence or just a feel-good highlight that papers over the substantial cracks

Perhaps the only thing we know is that, now more than ever, you can never really count out the Germans
