Well good morning good morning.
It is a beautiful day here in Cape Town.
And today we're going on an excursion.
We're going to be traveling down to the Cape Peninsula.
But this just isn't any regular tour.
We are going in sidecars.
Yeah.
Sidecars.
So confession time.
We actually did a sidecar tour when we were in Stellenbosch last week but it was a taster.
It was a very short tour.
This time around it is a full day thing.
All day.
Yeah, I'd say this is a better fit.
So we're just suiting up here.
So I'm putting it on the leather jacket and next up is the bandana.
Everything for now.
That is okay?
Yeah.
That fits good doesn't it Audrey?
Double jackets.
Looking good.
It is winter here in Cape Town so biker gal.
Biker gal.
I'm going to make you look gangster for a second.
Hahaha.
Leave it there for me.
Gangster.
My Gangsta look.
There you go.
Almost there.
Suits you well.
Yeah.
There we go.
And the coolest thing I have to say about this helmet is just the sunglasses.
They are kind of like sunglass goggles.
Yeah, goggles.
They are goggles.
There we go.
There you go.
So for now you can take this down but if you need it when you're on the bike if you're
behind another car or fumes or a lot of wind in your face just pop it up.
Okay, so now Sam.
Good.
Alright, are you all set?
All set.
Now your turn.
Ready to go.
I'm going to make bikers out of you today.
Bradley is going to make a biker out of us.
Yeah.
And you're going to look gangster.
Bikers or bank robbers?
Either one.
Maybe both.
That sounds good.
Now that would be an interesting tour.
Haha.
Bank rob in the morning and then.
Let's make some extra cash.
We can go out for a nice dinner afterwards and drinks.
Haha.
Okay, first stop on the tour.
First stop of the day.
So we're basically overlooking Muizenberg here.
Yeah.
And we've got some incredible views.
Like way off in the distance you can see some mist and we've just got like yeah such a nice
day.
This time of year it should be like cold and rainy but we've really lucked out.
So our next stop here is at the Shark Spotters and this guy is actually looking for sharks
down in the water because there is a whole bunch of surfers down there.
Wouldn't want to be near sharks.
So we made it to the Cape of Good Hope so we're paying our fee.
It is a 135 Rand per person and we're just standing in line.
Sitting in line.
There is a few vehicles ahead of us.
Today is a beautiful day to be out so I think this is a popular spot.
Sammy boy.
You've been riding in the sidecar all along.
How are you enjoying it?
It has been so cool.
Like I could do this every day.
I wish I could do this tour every day.
This is so much fun.
So basically we should get a motorcycle.
Basically, is what you're saying.
And we just picked we just got this.
This GoPro um and basically the gimbal like just a couple of weeks ago and I can't think
of a better way to be filming.
Like I'm just going like this and filming the wheel and have it out like that.
Yeah, I'm just as a videographer I'm having a ball today.
So we made it to the Cape of Good Hope and this is the South-Western most point on the
African continent.
This is our second time here and there is this big sign where you can have your photo
taken but once again there are probably like fifty an enormous queue in line.
So forget about that we got a few shots of other people doing that and we're just going
to go explore around this area.
Let's do it.
Sam do you smell that?
I smell it.
It is the smell of the sea.
The smell of the sea.
The smell of fish.
The smell of seafood.
You know what?
This is actually making me hungry.
I'm almost ready for lunch.
Are we going to get seafood for lunch?
I think so.
Is that the plan?
That is the plan.
We're egging Sam on to see how close he can get to the ostrich.
Also as soon as I start this motor they get run for it.
Alright, Sam.
Show us what you got.
Don't be a chicken.
Hehe.
Go nice and close.
Haha.
Hahaha.
I'm waiting for it to chase him.
Is that as close as you're going.
Come on you can go a lot closer.
A lot closer.
A lot closer.
Remember some people ride them right?
Haha.
Haha.
That is close enough.
So somebody picked up a special treat.
We are so hungry we've been riding for a few hours so we're having lunch.
We just stopped by the lighthouse.
There is a little restaurant down here.
So we grabbed a snack.
Spicy beef biltong and we've also ordered pizzas.
And we love our biltong.
Let's start with biltong.
And for those who have never tried Biltong it is basically like the South African style
of jerky except it is so much better than jerky and for us to even call it that I'm
sure is a bit of an insult so we'll just go back to calling it Biltong again.
And how is that?
It is good.
But you know what?
I've seen signs here for baboons.
Apparently they roam around and they like to steal your food so I'm like on the lookout
for what is going on.
And we have pizzas coming.
We have pizza coming.
I hope baboons do not like pizza.
And PowerAde.
But I'm sure they do.
Alright, time for the big unveil.
We ordered pizza.
The Napolitan.
Oh, the cheese is all ooey gooey.
Woah, it is hot.
That is nice.
Nice personal size.
And then I got the one I forget oh right with avocado.
This one has avocado, bacon and feta.
That looks good.
That looks so good.
Haha.
Would you like a piece of each?
Alright, so Bradley is having a slice of the avocado, bacon and feta.
I'm going to try.
Try it.
Avocado tastes good on everything.
Mmmm.
Is that good?
Mmmm.
That is great.
Fresh.
Awesome.
Super tasty.
Perfect, that is very good.
And Audrey.
Mine looks good too but I'm kind of envious of this.
This is like bacon.
We can share.
We'll all share.
How is that?
Haha.
The update is we are out of breath but enjoying the views from the top.
Oh, come on.
It wasn't that hard of a climb.
If we come here a third time I'm taking the funicular.
Next up we have made it to Boulders Beach where the main attraction is penguins, penguins
and more penguins.
There is a colony of penguins here and we're going to go check them out.
So time for an update.
We are currently driving Chapman's Peak and I think this is probably the most beautiful
part of the drive so far today.
The scenery is just stunning and the color of the water it is like turquoise and blue
and green.
I know.
And the sun is out.
And it is just incredible and that is saying a lot because most of the scenery on this
drive today has been really incredible but this just takes the cake and then the icing
on top with the cherry.
Oh, it has got everything.
