Youtube daily report Aug 8 2017

This movie contains a scene a little bit strong in the presence of the death of Cisco Armengou.

If you still are in the process of mourning, perhaps it is not recommendable to watch it now.

Dedicated to the unforgettable Cisco Armengou

The pub, Pobla and the death

Like I said, I have seen it with my own eyes. She stood up, came to me and looked right into my eyes.

Who will look at you. Apart of our wifes, noone has looked at us in many years.

And do you know why? Because we are too smart for the chics of today.

Is this saloon open?

Very grateful. Can you serve me a Mistel or what you serve here?

Mistel? What is that, Mistel? We ain't have it. Here you only get Wine, Beer, liquor...

Ok, than bring me a beer, please.

Hey. Someone here plays chess. I always liked this nice game of war.

Here is your beer.

I play a litte bit. But I am not strong. We can play a game if you like.

Very greatful. But I like that you play at your best. You are playing for your life.

No no, not for life. We play as we can.

Lets play a game.

What color do you chose?

I like this place and you should have the best chances.

I chose white for you.

White for me.

Star with white.

OK. Lets go.

(Chess moves)

You have to pay more attention. Yet we have a victim. It was before his time.

You are invited to give your thoughts. Also your lifes are in stake here.

I am kidding :-)

(Chess moves)

Queen takes bishop.. and here is the victim. He was still young...

I better let you analyze. We continue our game tomorrow.

What do I pay?

Nothing. The beer goes on the house.

Well.

What can I help you in this game?

No. I go home. I am tired to dead.

It seems, that this was the last place where the victim was seen alive.

I always have to come back here.

Although we don't know what happened, I believe the key for resolving the case is here.

Like I said, it was nothing special...

... until this man came which I never have seen here.

We played a game of chess, he used some strange words. But this does not prove anything.

You don't belong here. It is not your hour.

Good. I have to come back later.

This was the man from the last night.

We have to finish a game of chess, therefore he returned.

Are you prepared to finish our game?

Yes. What do you want?

A beer, like the last time.

Have you thought well your next move?

Yes. Rook to d7.

I think this is not enough.

Queen takes rook with check.

Queen takes bishop check.

Queen takes pawn.

Queen takes pawn chess.

Queen eats pawn chess.

And you? Who are you really?

Whom do you think I am?

Whom do you think I am?

Pawn!

Pawn!

Rook!

Pawn!

Pawn!

Rook!

And me? What happens with me?

Not you! Its not your time.

Maren Morris - I Could Use A Love Song | CMA Fest 2017 | CMA - Duration: 1:20.

- Hey everyone, this is Marren Morris giving you

a sneak peak in to CMA Fest on ABC.

♫ A reason, just something that I can believe in

♫ I could use a love song

Every love song is different.

They can represent different facets of the feeling.

♫ To a time when I wouldn't roll my eyes

♫ At a guy and a girl

For me, when I was writing I Could Use A Love Song,

it was about me being in this mental state

where it didn't seem possible for me to believe

in love again.

♫ Yeah I could use

♫ Yeah I could use

And so, it was that notion of hearing something

that just hits you right in the soul,

and represents what you believe it could be again.

And so, I think the most powerful love songs

are the simple real ones, very honest,

and that seems to always apply in country music.

♫ Yeah I could use

♫ I could use a love song

I Back flipped in their Office! - Duration: 14:27.

it's so sunny today I mean when the Sun has the some friggin has an eerie Sam

and look at our friggin kitchen give these like sparkly bowls or anything

they're correct people okay these here I get is sparkly ball so when you listen

with a stealin poem uh lunch stars is like sparkling off the sparking bowl I'm

just getting soft and sparkly balls because it sounds weird but I'm right

here Sam today he's going to make some coke but he said he's doing it in a

really fancy way so you sure the class do and how you make the coke is to deaf

one time what step one hit the class time so I'm taking out a person was pour

it in the glass then what are you doing tonight you got ice cubes and everything

strong all right one ice cube so you know some 700 openly seven ice cubes and

there you go okay okay so that's I'm super unhealthy morning drink family

lose your drink gone it's not my morning it's not all of the

name this is my drink okay is what I would make in a morning class all time

to make coffee but if it's super solid it exists and I'm going to have you know

sleep the night before coffee is not the best option so what I have is some lemon

and water and magic and whatever I'm going to put in it let's see what

happens do it give me my camera gang okay so I've got

a glass here really a few things adjustments to the glass before we go

anywhere you want to get a little bit of water in the glass like this color water

in the top of glass next thing you want to do is take black and deaf but gently

into some sugar back at your glass ready you notice and you see this is what to

do with cocktails it put like sometimes I put like sugar right here

so we're doing is we're going to add the ingredients I'm going to make my cubes

first ice cubes were first three ice cubes Sol am and I would have caught the

lamb and put some slices then you know you want to spice it up a little bit we

want to make it nice you don't want to know guys last few days my life and my

component of my last two days are ice my mood has been really really I'm going to

kind of use a knife explain it's been really happy the last few days and it's

a good less than my mood so I hope this stays like this I'm going to cup some

lemon before we move any further with the amazing video tutorial on how to

make a nice drink in the morning I would say a whole slice of lemon here for you

guys because I want to see that that's not even a slice let's get a better

slice right you have to eat to slay okay alright that look at this little skew

anything and that that kind of like you know like a full circle going in Rosario

I will give you a big market hog that's my reward - lucky - lemons yeah ask

yourself oh gosh ah ah anyways almost segment of particular

he's day interview oh yeah how difficult all right now it's like half 10 right

now I'm kinda late for a meeting with Connor if you guys are wondering why I'm

wearing this freaking bow tie and this black shirt and black jeans event in

black is lesser the colors right now I'm going to stop right beside these red and

black slurs because the theme today like hot red bowtie like shirts like Jean

waiting black shoes and red and black penny board friggin on point of colors

today red and black with today reason why I'm wearing this weird old photos

I'm not like a bartender or anything today the reason why I looked like a

bartender it's because Connors making a foam I'm on the way to meet him right

now over beside the council building because we were able to hire right the

buildin to actually use the follow man today with some super excited for the

Connors making a foam and he chose oh my god I'm going to stop this because this

is mechana rackets Connors making a foam he chose no older than me stacks and ice

deliver excited class today I'm heading down here hopefully should be here some

biker guys going past here and with my rule on the foam as you know what's the

main characters just like a little short

thing is doing way I'm here this is it right here

rule in the film today is to be a person going for an interview

I might have slightly overdressed just a knotch but it should be okay oh okay

okay thank it's and through these double doors I don't know if it doesn't happen

I'm just going to go check no booth kid bike a run again

okay he's not here maybe he says we go to the front I don't know if this is the

front or back and when I run the other stank the other side the front normally

I'd go to the wrong side draining a tiny about on my way to Tyne here but it's

not too bad and I can still feel like a tiny Missoula rain

I think this side is the front side he said to meet at the front so oh my god I

showed you guys this before in a wall before with the mayor freaking has their

own parking space it on me it said get it wrong because here it says entrance

and this is the front of the place the thing is here instead of meet somewhere

in the benches so I'm going to look for some benches that's the deal today the

benches literally not a fan some sites sudden all of the freaking they look

like you're a meal though area code so I'm here with Connor kind of waiting I

go stay here going on today to address right for the patient that is drug here

well you wait did you want me to look like a drug dealer you just take the hat

off now org doors hello

okay we're inside right now setting up really excited I saw the freaking cool

roof look at every the tripod is camera mic - Connor drone battery with no drone

because it was written during the first shot of today real excited but I have

come in these doors walking on here is this so the camera is going to be set up

right here

I'm the BMPs okay okay guys we're here and one of the offices in the Consul

Belden and this is where we're going to be doing another Saints we got to see me

coming in the door and now we're going to do this shot of may come for the

interview or something no wait I I'll leave a surprise if you want to see

it it's going to be on your channel in like a year probably like a year where

didn't I just boil it right on so the guy comes and he doesn't have an

interview it's like a week and a week later salsa in Cyprus I have to look

annoyed so there's nice shots over here you can get home I call this a nice

time-lapse tree over here there's a beautiful view of the city over here we

could use this for shop really really excited excited calm freaking excited

quick connor through the journal at me so the Jochum like I don't even like it

this is such a big room you know look at this

okay however the first person to do backflow up in this room right here all

of the class older enemies like you ever skip an immersion like I want to

disperse to do that move even a few chairs you know get this chair to the

way older go to the shot back up in a credible I did it

okay so Conoco still not sure he's gonna sort that out and I'm going to go and

still rehearsal on the act on here this big long harder you know I'm saying

is right here oh this is a nice angle area stage it'll take miss Donna Emily

and you're not taking standard your shoes how's it go anymore I was taking

off my business card there as you can see everything boy comedy okay that's a

wrap on today I'm super super happy about that today you have a Connor is

satisfiable shots can I get that like written down because I don't know if

it's real for three but I really enjoy that today thank you so much Connor we

might actually had the three store predictions then you get the Sun card

yeah I don't actually know if there's a three store here my time by the some car

right here I'm going to get to some card topped up and unlimited data hopefully I

don't even know if I said deal cuz well I don't know if it's a three store and I

don't know if there's I'm at a data deal but I'm gonna go for it and see if I can

get it whoops the best you know what you got to do in life just hope for the best

you know I'm say man it's gone okay so we're in Thai right now guys we're

heading to the crafts place right now before we get the free some checked out

there is a what the heck is this it's pretty screwed low that's that's in

there and look weak oh my god that is amazing animal guys I have this rock to

my bag it's piece of malachite crystal and the thing is I was up in blue moon

the other day and the girl in there said Adam has never seen a polished piece of

malachite and that's when I was like I have a piece that stuff in my house I'm

going to bring it down I'm going to show you I'm going to prove you that I have a

piece sir we're doing today because there's difference between crystals

there's polished and raw rose like just from the airs and polishes like you know

ball and it's just a pseudo bloomin oh I went on the blue moon and I was

awkward under Blue Moon and asked was for Helen Helen there this man sitting

there looking at me he looked into my soul twice I swear to God and he said no

she's not no I never just place awkward silence for good ten seconds three

stores finest restore somewhere I swear there is a three cereals but maybe

there's not but we could we can have a look and see

Zorin cafe Nero right now any effective lighters home going to explode there we

go Connor fell like just when is the Stuart

Connor felt like this a second ago on the slippery road I don't know if any

intention that it helped me so bad like well that's that's the vlog game in

Braille right new property just stared up at a port right well we came in the

cafe Nero we didn't buy any coffee he wanted to sit in the comfy chair and now

we're leaving to go to those TV store f23 store exist

Connor scrutinise good I need to be sucked up the pain so now we're heading

to the three store turns ice turns out I was right the campus I saw myself Connor

I remembered now and what I saw yeah I just have to set your all the stewards

because I would you think I was that kind of self a sensor yeah and then it's

ushered up in off the punch oh I didn't honestly think it addresses myself

because I was thinking fourth side or Richmond the only place the three store

would have been where you think are the same and then boom there's one they've

got that is so good they got their own shop oh I'm so happy in the shop for

three store to have powerful hands and everything protocol has number one 8 X

to the 3 X 0 3 in here the three stores the three stores close to place a

special place you know wait is the 3-sum not working Portugal you only get like 6

gigabytes or the nine gigabyte of data whenever you change from a3 some overall

North Sea if I pay first time here in the UK okay I will get unlimited data

for the price I pay may change over to Portugal because it's not the UK they

take it all the way from my school and I don't get any data I they only give me

an gigabyte so I thought you know I'm not going to buy that decent

we need to get a magnifying glass in my knee plasma sheet they call the

processor system a key ok so he's trying to you guys is Emily who are you doing

hey have a good day yeah massive boom there we go yeah have a good day okay

point today on this little portable Wi-Fi thing and it's actually meant to

arrive at my hotel room when I'm in Portugal so I've delivered it to there

Where Are the Voyagers Now? Remembering the Amazing Voyager Missions - Duration: 11:26.

many people remember exactly where they were when humans first set foot on the

moon but for those of us born after 1969 we've got to hang on to other epic

moments in spaceflight history I vividly remember watching the first launch of

the space shuttle when I was nine years old and I remember when NASA's Voyager

spacecraft swept past each of the outer giant planets in the solar system

Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune it's been nearly 40 years since the voyagers

blasted away from Earth on their voyage into interstellar space and here's the

most amazing part they're still operational

still working hard to deliver us science from the outer solar system as I record

this video Voyager 1 is the most distant object ever created by human beings more

than 20 billion kilometres away from Earth more than four times the distance

to Pluto and here's a really mind-bending part Voyager 1 is the

farthest object we know of in the entire solar system but I'm getting hand myself

it's time to look back nearly 40 years and remember the Voyager missions and

their amazing accomplishments over the decades the Voyager missions were

developed in the early 1970s to take advantage of a rare alignment of the

giant planets in the solar system with the right launch speed trajectories and

planetary slingshots it could be possible to send a spacecraft past each

of the large planets in the solar system Jupiter Saturn Uranus and Neptune over

the course of their primary mission the spacecraft were to visit Jupiter and

Saturn but the mission controllers couldn't help but add Uranus and Neptune

to the list reprogramming the spacecraft as they explored the solar system to

continue onward between them the twin spacecraft observed four planets

48 moons as well as the Rings and magneto spheres their original mission

should have only been five years but they were extended to 12 and now almost

40 years later they're still going and going

Voyager 2 lifted off first on August 20th 1977 with the trajectory that gave

it the option to Uranus and Neptune later on its trip

Voyager one went 2nd on September 5th 1977 but followed a faster shorter

trajectory their first destination was Jupiter the largest planet in the Solar

System forger one arrived at the giant planet on March 5th 1979 passing within

a few hundred thousand kilometers of Jupiter's cloud tops it observed the

incredible storm systems in Jupiter's upper atmosphere and helped to discover

that Jupiter like Saturn's has a ring system because the biggest discovery of

Jupiter was with its moons the voyagers discovered that Jupiter's innermost

large moon Io has active volcanoes spewing lava high into space

the percent volcanism had been seen anywhere else in the solar system they

observed cracks on the surface of Europa and Ganymede indicating that both worlds

have some kind of subsurface ocean beneath an icy crust between them the

two spacecraft took more than 33,000 pictures of Jupiter and its moons next

up with Saturn and in my opinion the highlight of the whole Voyager program

although the ringed planet had already been visited by pioneer 11 in 1979 the

voyagers took things to the next level Voyager 1 arrived in November 1980 and

sent back high-resolution images of Saturn as well as its moons and rings

where Jerome was selected to make a closer flyby of Titan Saturn's largest

moon and the second largest moon in the solar system it discovered that Titan's

atmosphere is mostly made of nitrogen like Earth unfortunately it's too dense

to see down to the surface we need to wait for Cassini to show us what's down

there Voyager 1 discovered that Saturn's upper

atmosphere seems to contain like helium then scientists we're expecting which

indicates that the helium is slowly sinking down into the center of the

planet Voyager 2 arrived nine months later in August 1981 passed within 40

1,000 kilometers of Saturn and made even more observations of the planet and its

environment together the voyagers provided the first

analyzing hint of geysers emanating from Enceladus which Cassini confirmed

decades later and together they discovered the huge hexagonal vortex the

planets North Pole at this point the voyagers parted company

Voyager 1 continued on from Saturn with no more destinations while Voyager 2

performed a slingshot maneuver that put it on course to visit the outer ice

giants would you - still had two more destinations to go its next destination

was Uranus in January 1986 when it passed within 80 1,500 kilometers of the

planet this was the first and so far last time that any spacecraft has ever

reached Uranus these are the only close up pictures that we have of Uranus and

its moons thanks to Voyager 2 the spacecraft made

several new discoveries about Uranus the planet was flipped over onto its side by

some collision in the ancient path and Voyager discovered that not only does

Uranus have a magnetosphere but it's twisted into a corkscrew shape

that trails behind the planet as it orbits the Sun would you observe the

planet swings and collection of moons but perhaps the strangest discovery was

its moon Miranda would you two observed huge cracks and canyons on the surface

of Miranda as deep as 20 kilometers is it possible that the moon was smashed up

in the ancient past and then reformed from the shattered pieces the final stop

on the Grand Tour was Neptune visited by Voyager 2 in summer of 1989 I remember

this image vividly on television and in the newspapers it was the summer I

graduated from high school Voyager 2 passed just four thousand nine hundred

and fifty kilometers above Neptune's North Pole closer than any other object

during its voyage since this was Voyager 2 the last stop NASA was willing to

throw caution to the wind the spacecraft discovered that the winds on Neptune

blow faster than anywhere else in the solar system triple the speed of Jupiter

discovers that the planet has storms swirling across its surface like the

other giant planets it fine-tuned estimates of Neptune's mass discovered

six new moons and observed its ring system up

close for the first time and perhaps the most tantalizing was the close-up images

of Neptune's moon Triton a bizarre moon that dominates the Neptunian system and

orbits backwards from all the other large moons in the solar system

scientists think it was a captured Kuiper belt object stolen in the ancient

past with Triton in its rear view mirror Voyager 2 carried on out in a deep space

the Grand Tour was over but the voyagers still had more science to do and we'll

talk about that in a moment but first I'd like to thank Anton velocity John

Clarke Alex Pucelle and the rest of our 765 patrons for their generous support

if you love what we're doing and you want to get in on the action

head over to patreon.com/scishow verse today in august 2012 the spacecraft

officially made the leap to interstellar space escaping the sun's heliosphere now

in case you're not familiar the heliosphere is a region of ionized

plasma that surrounds the Sun blown out into space by the solar wind like an

inflated balloon this bubble is what separates the Sun solar wind from the

collective solar winds of all the other stars in the Milky Way and the voyagers

cross the region dominated by the Sun into interstellar space even though

Voyager 1 is now more than 20 billion kilometres away still emit signals of

about 23 watts but as much power as a refrigerator light bulb although by the

time you reach Earth they're a billion billionth of a watt and yet they

continue onwards now let's look into the future what happens next should be

spacecraft at the current pace they'll reach the Oort cloud in about 300 years

that's a huge cloud of icy objects thought to surround the solar system and

be the source of the long period comets that we see from time to time

unfortunately they'll be dead much sooner than that sometime in the next

couple of years as the radioisotope thermoelectric generator that powers the

spacecraft isn't going to be able to give it enough electricity to keep

equipment going the gyroscopes that allow NASA to reorient the spacecraft

will cease operations the data recorders will shut down and in 2020 or so NASA

will start to shut down their scientific instruments one by one as the power

levels continue to decline finally by 2025 to 2030

the voyagers won't have enough electricity to do anything else

we got 40 years from them but we'll be lucky to get 50 and then they'll

continue to drift off into the darkness their journeys of your cloud will last

30,000 years and in 40,000 years or so they'll get within a couple of

light-years of the star Goliath four four five but the voyagers were built to

last each was equipped with a golden record

containing sounds and images selected by Carl Sagan and others aliens who

encounter the voyagers will enjoy the sounds of Earth like whale surf and the

wind as well as musical selections oh and a handy map to earth using pulsars

the records were made of gold and etched for the sample of uranium 238 which has

a half-life in the billions of years future alien civilizations could use

this to determine when the voyagers were constructed and ruin the co-creative

cosmos says that the records themselves replayable for a billion years the

Voyager spacecraft were some of the most ambitious robotic spacecraft humans ever

built they carried our senses out to Jupiter and Saturn and then Voyager 2

helped us see Uranus and Neptune for the first time ever we still depend on and

reference the images and observations from these hard-working spacecraft for

so much of our understanding of the outer solar system almost when they're

gone what about you do you have any nostalgic memories about the Voyager

spacecraft eliminating thoughts in the comments inter next episode we look at

the Van Allen belts the radiation that surrounds the earth another dangerous

hazard that astronauts face is if they need anymore ways that the universe is

trying to kill them that's next time of course I got a playlist of videos about

the Voyager missions first up a video from NASA a few years ago when Voyager 1

reached celer space Tom Scott visits the Voyager

control room at NASA Vsauce has a message for the future including

voyagers golden record and then a pair of longer lectures from NASA scientists

working with Voyager and that starts right now

next yet disagree

How Much Protein Can Your Body Absorb Per Meal? - Duration: 5:06.

How much protein can you absorb in one sitting?

One of the ongoing claims in the fitness industry is that your body can only absorb a limited

amount of protein at a time.

The most popular of all is that you can only absorb 30 grams per meal.

Now, before we go any further, let's dispel this absorption limit right away.

The body needs amino acids for virtually all physiological functions, thus, will absorb

almost all of the protein you consume.

Heck, the small intestine alone will utilize roughly half of all the amino acids in your

body.

Factor in protein needs of all other organs, the notion that the body suddenly stops absorbing

protein after 30 grams is completely misguided.

But, the interest IS in building muscle.

Even if our body can absorb all the protein, how much of it will actually go to muscle

growth?

And this is perhaps where the bro science caught on.

Two studies in the matter did conclude a potential limit to the rate of muscle protein synthesis.

One found that, after a resistance training bout, consuming 40 grams of whole egg protein

in one meal did not stimulate muscle protein synthesis more than 20 grams for active males.

In another study, 30 grams of protein stimulated protein synthesis as much as 90 grams of protein

in one meal.

But, there are glaring limitations to both studies.

In the first one, subjects only performed 12 sets of leg training, which might not be

enough to optimally stimulate exercise-induced protein synthesis signaling.

On top of that, 20 grams of protein through 6 meals adds up to only 120 grams of protein

per day, which goes against the heavy research showing that greater muscle growth is achieved

with much larger protein intakes.

The second study simply falls short on overall protein.

At only 30 and 90 grams per day, we're looking at well below the needs of someone that trains

regularly, especially larger men.

Moreover, both were only single trial studies.

Taking a look at a 2-week study, we see that eating 80% of daily protein in one sitting

increased protein synthesis more so than spreading out protein evenly across 4 meals for elderly

women.

A follow-up study found no differences using a similar protocol for young women.

Considering that both were done with women and no resistance training, suffice to say,

active lifters, especially men, will have a greater protein demand.

But, let's say that there is an actual 30-gram limit to protein synthesis.

It still ignores the other important part to the muscle building equation: protein breakdown.

When we look at the research in terms of protein breakdown, we start piecing the whole picture

together.

A 2013 study comparing 70 grams of protein per meal versus 40 grams of protein, with

total daily protein equal, found, although the 70-gram group only had a slight increase

in protein synthesis, it significantly reduced the rate of muscle breakdown.

There was also one key difference in this study.

In the two first studies showing no benefit to eating more protein per meal, subjects

were in a fasted state and consumed protein with nothing else.h

In this study, as well as the previous studies on women, subjects consumed their protein

as part of a mixed whole meal, like the way that we all usually eat.

Mixed meals provide important changes that might drastically improve protein absorption.

One is that, in the presence of fats and protein, the hormone cholecystokinin kicks in and rapidly

slows down gastric emptying, giving your digestive tract more time to absorb all the nutrients.

Also, with the presence of carbs, insulin levels will rise dramatically.

Insulin drives not only energy fueling, but also signals for protein synthesis and inhibits

protein breakdown, shifting the body into a complete anabolic state, optimal for muscle

growth.

And if we keep combing the research, we'll find no differences in net nitrogen balance,

a measurement indicative of protein use in the body, regardless of the amount of protein

consumed per meal.

And all of this information before even discussing research on intermittent fasting.

Long story short, IF'ers eating all of their protein in a short amounth of time, also had

no significant differences in terms of muscle composition than subjects on a standard diet.

So, let's revisit the question: Is there a protein limit for muscle growth?

Yes, but it's much higher than the mythical 30 grams, and quite possibly higher than any

practical per-meal consumption.

Best practice is to simply have protein in all of your main meals and make sure you meet

your total daily protein needs.

End of the day, this is more of the constant myths in the fitness industry.

And like every other myth, there's nothing to see here.

Relationship Problems and Conflict at Work - Duration: 5:26.

Conflict is inevitable and everyone encounters it but not everyone deals with conflict in the same way

so in this video I'm asking for your participation and your feedback,

so get ready to comment below because I want to know how you deal with conflict

Hey guys

Thanks for coming back to my channel

if you did not know I am doing video video everyday in august

and today i Wanted to talk about conflict,

so I think it's pretty obvious that everyone deals with conflict everyone deals with problems

dealing with unexpected situations

and having to put up with opposition

And there is no one cookie-cutter solution for every problem out there

So I'm curious to know how you guys deal with conflict

the way that I've come to understand it at least most recently is that I

Ignore the details and then I try to see the bigger picture

And what I used to say to myself is and I even have it actually here

Don't complain about circumstances which you have the power to change

I wrote that to myself three years ago,

and I think that when I ignore the details and look at the bigger picture

It's my way of keeping myself composed

So something again that I've learned at apple from working at Apple is to really maintain composure

and I think outside of that retail context I actually had an example of how that

Conflict management helped me in my personal life

as I said in my very first veda video

Last month I directed a day camp as part of a team of three people

It was a week-long day camp and one of the days something happened last minute that wasn't under our control

and so we just kind of had to deal with it

It was kind of just dropped in our lap and because I anticipated that we wouldn't be able to get rid of it or change it

I immediately started thinking of options of how to deal with it

five minutes after I found out

I started coming up with a new schedule. We have a set schedule for our camp and so I tried to figure out

Ok. How would this fit? What would we have to change?

What would we have to rearrange? And so I tried to fight that tendency to see it as a problem

Because I knew if I did I would become ungrateful and bitter

in short to summarize the problem

and I think the important thing about conflict management

Is that it's not really the problem that should be the focus.

It's really how you deal with it

How you analyze it and how you overcome it,

with the fact that this donation was last-minute

We were very unprepared, there wasn't a lot of communication going on and so of course that was the main problem

It wasn't the donation itself; it was the fact that there was no communication around it

and the way that my brain works is that

I try to avoid conflict but not in the sense of pretending it's not there.

I try to highlight the positive parts about it

We can't change this so what can we do now?

and instead of asking, Why is this happening, or how did we get here?

I automatically think, Okay. What can we do now?

It was a beneficial way of dealing with the issue at hand - but for me.

and I know a lot of people who in situations like this need to digest the situation step by step

Understand each detail and ask those questions of why and how did we get here before they can see the bigger picture and step back

And I feel like that's where my style of conflict management helped me where I found that it was beneficial

But I definitely feel like it is not always beneficial

So I have a personal example to share where trying to see the bigger picture has not always been the best way of dealing with things

so I have a boyfriend

I didn't tell him I was going to say this but like it's not really anything that personal or out of the ordinary

I think everyone in a relationship whether you're in a romantic relationship or a friendship you deal with problems

And I think this isn't only present in my relationship with my boyfriend, but even in relationships with my friends

Whenever we do encounter tension or opposition

I think I deal with things the same way whenever my boyfriend

And I argue about something I take myself out to see the bigger picture

as a result of that

I end up dismissing what he says and I dismiss all these details as if I have to be the bigger person and

You know seek the overall good of the entire situation and people around us

Ironing out those details and those thoughts are so important for effective communication

That's why I feel like my big picture perspective is not always the most effective

I want to know

How do you deal with conflict? do you analyze all the details before being able to take in the big picture?

Or do you dismiss the details altogether and try to take action immediately?

I think that's where I make mistakes

at the day camp

I think that was a beneficial business strategic move

but I think in my personal life when I try to detach myself from the details and the emotions of it all

It doesn't really help anyone because I'm pretending that it can be a quick fix

And I'm ignoring the crucial part of any friendship or relationship

Which is communication

so that's all I have for this video

dealing with conflict is not easy

and I don't have an easy time dealing with it as I'm sure many people don't

As I said earlier it is a case-by-case situation, so I do want to know how you deal with it

Please let me know in the comments below come back tomorrow or the day after for a new video

And I will see you guys soon

First Impressions: Genaray Spectro LED - Duration: 4:06.

- Hello, my name is Nicholas Pappagallo,

I am a Lumix Luminary, and I am talking today

about the Genaray SpectroLED.

(light guitar music)

So we just got this in, literally,

we just did a review and this one popped in,

so we decided to jump in and review this one as well

for you guys.

This light, the Spectro, is actually pinned

as a studio LED, so there's no battery pack on here,

it's optional, but it's not something

that you have built into the back.

So this one is a daylight light,

so when I turn this on here,

you'll be able to see it's a daylight light,

I'm not gonna face it towards the camera

'cause I don't want to blow everything out,

but we'll show the controls close up.

You can change your dimming on the light

from zero through 100%.

Another great option that I loved about this light

is the fact that you have these barn doors,

so these barn doors come in like this,

and you can gate this down to just a strip of light,

you can put gels in here with these little tiny clips.

So I'll show you the little clips,

you've got clips on the top and bottom here,

so you can actually put your gels on there.

You have two diffusers this comes with.

So the diffuser I have on right now

is a clear diffusion panel,

but you can also upgrade that,

and they have magnets on them,

with a tungsten diffusion panel.

So right now we turned it from daylight

to tungsten with that filter.

Great little option to have.

They do sell a bi-color version of this

for a few dollars more,

so you can actually get it with bi-color LEDs.

This version is not that version.

On the back here, you have great construction,

it's built out of metal.

You have a pretty heavy-duty XLR-looking plug

and you have an on-off switch.

The other thing that we really liked about this light

is the option to move this knuckle around

to every side, so you can actually take this knuckle

and you can put it anywhere you want

around the light here, so that you don't have to mount it

to the ceiling of the studio

and have the controls upside down.

So really cool little option.

These barn doors will also double

as a way to protect your LEDs,

so it does come with a case,

but if you just want to travel with it like this,

you have a metal cover over all of your LEDs now.

Very versatile and helpful for that.

Now this is the best part of this light.

This is a Dr. Evil special little controller.

So you can pop this little antenna up,

and I'm gonna turn it around

so that it doesn't blind our cameras.

But basically, once you have this light,

I can turn it on, so you have to leave the light on on,

I can turn it on and off with this little remote control.

So the letter D will turn the light on and off,

so if it's mounted in my ceiling,

I can Velcro this to the wall,

and turn it on multiple lights,

and then I have C, so once it's on,

C will go to 100%, 75%, 50% power,

and then 25%, and then back up to 100%.

A and B should be arrows, but A and B is,

B will go lower and A will go brighter.

So it's your dimming control on the remote.

Great little Dr. Evil special from the 1980s

and I love it.

So the CRI rating of this light is 93 or above,

so great, great CRI on this.

The poundage we're talking about is 8.3 pounds,

so not as portable but it is portable to an extent,

but you're not gonna pack it in your suitcase

like the other light, the crux lights we were talking about.

So, little bit more of a studio light,

I like the light, I'm excited to start shooting with it

and testing out some video footage.

It doesn't flicker, it's flicker-free again.

I want to thank B&H

for supplying us with the light to test out,

and you can find the links down below for B&H.

Also, check out our other videos and subscribe above here

to see more videos.

We're always coming out with new videos out there

and all the information for everyone,

Jerry, myself, the studio, is all in the links,

so check that out, and we'll see you in the next video.

Against "Don't Ask Don't Tell" - Duration: 2:05.

Cokie Roberts: It's a question that's plagued him since the first days of his presidency.

What would Bill Clinton do about gays in the military?

Today the President decided on his course, but the questions are not likely to go away.

Todd Stoddard: The policy is more aptly called "let's pretend."

Let's pretend gay people simply don't exist, even though we know they do.

Barney Frank: Absent a total lifting of the ban, it was going to go to the Supreme Court.

Somebody was going to violate something and bring it to the Supreme Court.

There are already cases.

There was a Navy Lieutenant, Paul Thomasson.

He had been just an extraordinarily effective, decorated, naval officer

who had received the highest commendations from everyone with whom he had served.

And he was gay.

And after Don't Ask, Don't Tell, he said

I believe in America, I'm patriotic. And I don't lie.

I'm not going to pretend I'm not gay.

And so I got a call from, the head of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network.

asking if I would take this case on.

And I was, like, "You know, this is about as righteous a case as you could get."

And, eventually Don't Ask, Don't Tell was abandoned.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff stood before Congress

and said basically what Paul Thomasson said.

Mullen: We have in place a policy

which forces young men and women to lie about who they are.

in order to defend their fellow citizens.

for me, personally, it comes down to integrity.

Jeff: A lot of my friends said this was President Clinton's initiative.

It's our party. We've got fall in line.

if I think my party is wrong, i'll stand up and say that.

and there may be people who walk away from you.

There may be people who criticize you for that,

but those aren't people who I have to face in the mirror in the morning.

How Does a Photon Become a Film Photo? - Duration: 3:53.

[♪ INTRO]

For most of the time we've had photography,

you couldn't just snap a picture on your phone.

You had to use specially made film.

And taking the perfect photograph meant you had to master some chemistry,

from capturing light, to developing an image that you can see.

When photons enter a film camera, these packets of light energy fly through the lens and hit

a piece of plastic covered in what's called an emulsion.

And for you chemists out there, that might be kind of a misleading name.

In chemistry, an emulsion is a mixture of two or more liquids that normally can't

be combined, like the oils and vinegar in a tasty vinaigrette.

The stuff coating a film strip is technically closer to a suspension,

which has tiny solid bits floating around in a fluid.

Typically, it's silver halide crystals floating around in gelatin,

which solidifies on the film.

Silver halides are just atoms of silver bound to atoms of any element known as a halogen,

which includes things like bromine, chlorine, and iodine.

Another name for a halide is a salt.

Like, ordinary table salt is a halide made from sodium and chlorine.

Halogens can react with metals to form halide crystals,

in which the atoms become arranged in a very orderly grid called a lattice.

And all those atoms are ionized: they either lose an electron

or gain one to give them a charge.

Until they're struck by light.

When a photon hits a crystal of silver bromide on a film strip, for instance, it knocks an

electron off a negatively-charged bromide ion to create an atom of bromine.

Then, that electron moves around the crystal lattice until it settles into a defect.

And eventually it can combine with a nearby silver ion

to turn it into a neutrally-charged silver atom.

As more light hits the emulsion, this happens over and over again,

and creates small pockets of metallic silver.

There's still plenty of silver bromide left over, though.

The photons don't change every halide.

Only some of the silver atoms need to be changed in order for the film to be considered exposed.

You still can't see anything on the film at this point, though.

In order to make that image appear clearly, the film needs to be developed.

With another chemical reaction!

Chemical developers vary depending on the kind of film you're using.

But the basic idea is that they react with the remaining silver halide crystals

to create an image you can see.

The important thing is that developers include reducing agents: chemicals that generally

donate electrons to other compounds during a chemical reaction.

In this case, the recipients of those electrons are the remaining silver ions.

The silver ions in the exposed halide crystals, the ones with metallic silver in them,

will have more reactions with the developer, creating more metallic silver in those grains.

Now, you might assume that the metallic silver will look like

shiny spoons in a fancy dining set.

But in order to have that mirror-like surface, the silver atoms have to be arranged in a

rigid, uniform pattern so they all reflect light the same way.

When you look closely at a photograph, though,

you can see that the film grains are bumpy and uneven.

On a piece of film, metallic silver actually looks dark.

If more photons hit a silver halide crystal, more reactions with the developer can happen,

and that spot on the film strip becomes darker.

Now, generally, when you take a picture,

your image will have brighter areas and darker areas.

There's more light coming from the sky into your camera lens

than from a shadow under a tree.

And the more light that hits the film,

the more metallic silver you get after it's developed.

So that part of the image will look darker.

Basically, shadows will look bright, and highlights will look dark.

Because the light and dark information has been reversed.

We call this a negative image.

Photographers use negatives to make copies of their pictures.

They shine light through the negative onto another piece of photographic paper,

to make the exposure reaction happen again.

But this time, the dark parts of the negative block light from reaching the copy.

So when the copy is developed, the areas where the highlights were in real life

show up brighter on the print.

And vice versa with the shadows.

This new photo is a positive image, like what you originally saw!

So if you get your hands on a film camera, give it a shot.

It's not the same as taking a selfie with your phone, but with a little chemistry knowledge,

film isn't so mysterious after all.

And the third surprise, I made especially for you that

creates songs with Caustic just like me.

I'll donate to you most of the presets I use in software and also some of my own samples.

Presets are for all machines: subsynth, PCM, and others. You have many options to use in the program.

And the samples are Kicks that I created, and you can use them on your beats

And are great for making really heavy beats...

And to download, it's the same thing: open the description and download the give way zip.

Then you will unzip it, and you will have the two folders.

Then you will move the folder with my samples into the Caustic samples folder.

With this, the program will already recognize them when you open it.

Then you'll open the folder of the presets I've donated, and move all the other folders that are in there to the Caustic presets folder.

With this, the presets are ready to be used when you open the program.

If the system asks if you want to merge the folders, confirm.

And ready!!! Now it's just enjoy your new presets and new samples !! =D

That's it!!! I hope you enjoyed our celebration of the 100 subscribers!!!

And I hope you like the GIFTS too!

I made them exclusively for

YOU!

Of course if you, for example, do not use Caustic like me, you do not need to download my presets and samples.

No problem. =D

You can choose the GIFT you want ....

... or even have none.

But that's all. I hope you enjoyed the video and if you want more cool videos
