Seems easy

You have 10 minutes left

Already??!!

Don't you have to use this?

Spread it over the dish?

Because they're wearig matching clothes

they give up quite a interesting atmosphere

Listen everybody, cooking is the presentation of your own heart.

You cook with food and you cook for people.

That's something I read in a cozy bakery.

I LOVE YOU

No matter how you make this, it seems it will always be tasty.

WHOOA~~

Impossible!

We could have made Mexican curry...

if we'd only had cream.

WHOO~~

You did really well

I'm really so happy! This is the first time I got a price for cooking!

The feeling of winning!

Five Ways We Rationalize Abuse And Why We Need To Stop - Duration: 12:08.

Five Ways We Rationalize Abuse And Why We Need To Stop

A common abusive tactic is gaslighting the victim into thinking the abuse they are suffering isn't real.

By casting doubt onto the victim's sanity and perceptions of the abuse, the abuser is then able to distort and manipulate the victim into

thinking that the abuse didn't exist or that it wasn't abuse at all.

Another painful aspect of this gaslighting effect as well as the effects of trauma is that we begin to rationalize,

deny and minimize the impact of the abuse in an effort to survive a hostile, toxic environment.

We essentially begin 'gaslighting' ourselves and blaming ourselves for the abuse, though certainly not with the same intent or awareness as

our abusers.

I want to emphasize that this is not your fault, but rather a common reaction to enduring and having to survive severe trauma.

Here are five ways we rationalize abusive behavior that we can all be more mindful of, moving forward.

These are not only relevant to survivors of abuse, but also society as a whole to remember, in order to combat victim-blaming.

1.

"Well, I am not perfect either." A popular misconception is that one has to be perfect in order to gain respect and decency.

There is no excuse for any form of abuse, period.

If you are a non-abusive person who is capable of empathy, there is especially no excuse for a person to verbally, emotionally,

or physically violate you in any way, regardless of your flaws.

Many survivors of abuse have been accused of being too sensitive, too clingy, too much of everything – this has caused them to excessively

look inward for someone to blame rather than seeing the true culprit.

The abuser works very hard to implant false insecurities as well as exaggerate existing ones;

they continually blameshift to make everything the victim's fault.

There are plenty of imperfect people in the world who have loving partners, friends and family members.

These people don't have to meet some fictitious criteria for perfection to be worthy of respect and decency.

Neither should you.

If you don't quite believe this yet, think about the most caring, empathic person you know who has ended up in a toxic relationship with an

abuser.

Didn't that same abuser still reap the benefits of having such a wonderful partner?

Why is it that an abuser gets to be with such a warm, loving person and you, a nonabusive, albeit imperfect person, has to settle for abuse?

The truth is, you don't.

No one is perfect – and considering your abuser is probably condescending, filled with rage, contempt and a lack of empathy,

he or she is especially not one to talk about imperfection.

2.

"Now he/she is being sweet.

They're back to normal." Don't mistake saccharine sweetness for authentic change.

There is a difference between a non-abusive person taking responsibility and an abusive one who lacks empathy;

the latter often takes responsibility without making any concrete changes.

If a loved one who has otherwise been respectful has done something wrong that is out of character,

has taken responsibility and worked to repair the relationship, this is different than the abuse cycle with an abuser who is unwilling to

change.

A person who has empathy and can take accountability for their actions is not normally unpredictable;

they are fairly consistent in their behavior.

They don't go out of their way to manipulate, berate and demean you at every and any opportunity.

They can place themselves in your shoes and understand the rules of basic decency and respect.

Abusers undermine these very rules by acting as if 'respect' is a relative term that can be reframed to suit their own agenda.

Consider that the abuser's 'normal' is not the kind, charming person they presented in the beginning of the relationship – the 'normal' in

an abusive relationship is the unpredictable, hurtful person who leaves you walking on eggshells,

has no problem prioritizing their comfort over your pain, and regularly gains pleasure from controlling and demeaning you.

The abuse cycle relies on hot and cold, mean and sweet behavior, which means nice actions after an abusive incident cannot be taken at face

value, but rather as embedded in a chronic pattern of behavior.

According to domestic violence specialist, Dr. Clare Murphy, 'Jekyll and Hyde' abusers deliberately switch masks at the drop of a hat to

simultaneously punish and comfort you.

This cycle of intermittent emotional battery and resolution keeps us traumatically and biochemically bonded to them.

The abuser knows you will use this rationalization to excuse his or her abusive behavior, so they ensure that their apologies, pity ploys,

or their ability to revert back to the false self make you second-guess your perceptions so they can win you over once again.

It's all a ploy to get you back into the abuse cycle so they can mistreat you all over again.

Remember to keep in mind all of the abuser's actions up until this point, before you begin feeding into false hopes.

Documenting and writing down accounts of the abuse can be helpful in keeping you grounded about what has occurred.

3.

"They reached out to me after I set boundaries, so that must mean they miss me." A recent study revealed that narcissistic exes are likely

to reconnect with their past partners for convenience and pleasure, not because they miss them or truly want them back in their lives.

When an abuser reaches out to a survivor after the relationship has already ended, this is known as "hoovering," where,

like a Hoover vacuum, the abuser attempts to suck the victim back into the traumatic vortex of the relationship.

In "The Hoover Maneuver: The Dirty Secret of Emotional Abuse," therapist Andrea Schneider, LCSW notes that for abusers,

hoovering enables the abuser to regain control over the status quo of the relationship.

For malignant narcissists, hoovering is not about the fact that they miss their former victims who they once devalued – it's about

re-idealizing past flames so they can continue to keep them as permanent members of their harem for whenever they're lacking in

narcissistic supply.

When you're being hoovered, you're essentially being manipulated, not missed or pined for.

4.

"They're just under a lot of stress." Think about a time when your abuser was very stressed – whether at work or due to other extenuating

circumstances.

Did they lash out at people like their boss, their harem members or at complete strangers?

Did they make a scene in public and humiliate themselves?

Did they risk losing their jobs, their public reputation or the shallow friendships with people who believed in their facade due to their

seemingly 'uncontrollable' rage?

Or did they come home to you and use you as an emotional (or even physical) punching bag behind closed doors?

If you were involved with a covert narcissistic abuser, it's likely that you experienced the latter.

See, abusers 'select' who they feel safe revealing their abusive behavior to.

They know that their loved ones, who are heavily invested in them and emotionally bonded to them,

will be more likely to protect and defend them, even if they are the victims of the abuse,

because victims tend to be traumatically bonded to their abusers.

They feel a great deal of power and control being able to unleash their fury onto their victims – without as many repercussions.

Keep in mind that survivors of some of the worst traumas, such as domestic violence, undergo a great deal of stress and the traumatic

impact of the abuse has a direct impact on their mind, body and spirit.

Yet many of them, with the right tools and resources, as well as professional support, manage to not use their trauma as an excuse to abuse

others.

In fact, their experiences often ensure that they become extra vigilant about their behavior,

in an effort to avoid hurting anyone in the way they've been hurt.

The bottom line?

We all have stress in our lives.

Many of us have undergone trauma that is unimaginable, including being children of narcissistic parents.

Some of us may act out or lash out occasionally, or still have trouble managing our triggers from time to time.

It doesn't make us abusive, especially if we take accountability and have taken steps to improve our behavior.

However, chronic abusers will use their trauma background as an excuse to be abusive, rather than using that energy to improve their

behavior.

This differentiates the manipulative abuser from the traumatized survivor.

At the end of the day, unless we're experiencing severe psychosis, the choice to abuse is still always a choice and we are still

accountable for it.

Abusers who are aware enough to switch from their abusive behavior to their false mask quickly when there is a witness can choose to change

their behavior – as evidenced by their false, charming behavior in the early stages of relationships – they simply choose not to.

5.

"I found myself reacting to the abuse, so I must have asked for it." The myth of mutual abuse is one that even the National Domestic

Violence Hotline dispels.

It is, for the most part, still a myth.

There is often a clear power imbalance between victim and abuser.

The abuser is the one who erodes the victim's identity, beliefs, goals, and dreams, while the survivor becomes increasingly diminished and

demeaned.

Survivors may exhibit maladaptive reactions to the abuse over time, but there are also plenty of 'normal' reactions to abuse that are

simply symptoms of trauma.

Many survivors may feel confused about talking back to their abuser or feeling bouts of rage,

but the truth is that when a victim has been chronically traumatized, it is irrational not to assume that this will have an impact on their

behavior or emotional well-being.

Know this: if you are being abused, it's normal to feel angry and hurt.

These are normal, human emotions that arise due to being mistreated – and as many have noted,

normal reactions to heinously abnormal and dysfunctional behavior.

These emotions are signals that tell you that something is very wrong.

It's important that if you are being abused, you release some of the self-blame and refocus on how you can emotionally detach and safely

leave your abuser.

The abuse was not and never will be your fault.

Modern games for Vintage systems: Assembloids, Bear Essentials, and Bittboy! - Duration: 15:41.

Hello and welcome back to The 8-Bit Guy!

So, in this episode, I'm going to review three different products here which are, they're

modern products, but they're for retro gaming.

I don't normally do game reviews on this channel, but I thought I would make an exception

in this particular case.

These two games have been sent to me and these are actually modern games for retro systems.

This one was made in 2016, so just last year, and this one was made in 2017 which is still

this year.

So, I actually think that's really cool, and you know I'm actually working on a game

myself which I'll be revealing at a later time, but I wanted to go ahead and take a

look at these games and see what people have come up with.

The first game I want to show is Assembloids for the Atari 2600.

The box art on this looks really nice.

I know the appeal of these retro systems is to experience games of generations past, but

this is really cool to see a brand new Atari 2600 game.

So here's the actual cartridge.

I swear, it looks exactly like an old 2600 cartridge, except the label isn't degrading

any.

I have to wonder where they got the molds to make these.

So it comes with a nice little manual too, but there's not a lot in there.

OK, so I wanted to play this game in my Atari 2600, after all this is the system it was

designed for.

But I seem to have misplaced my power adapter.

I've ordered a new one, but in the meantime I'll just use my 7800 instead since it is

backwards compatible with the 2600.

And that works out better anyway since I've modified this one for composite video so that

will make it easier to do a direct video capture for you.

But I can at least use an original 2600 joystick for at least a little more authenticity, right?

So let's fire this up and see what we get!

I'm going to select the easiest difficulty level to start with.

To save you from reading the manual, I'm going to try to explain how this game works.

So, when you start you get this screen.

In the center here, a little piece of a creature sort of dude will appear there.

Then you can move the joystick and push that piece either up, down, left, or right into

one of these boxes.

And what you want to do is assemble complete creatures in each of the 4 sections by moving

the part you get where the part is actually needed.

You can mix and match any color you want as long as the piece fits.

But you do get vastly more points if you can match up creatures that are all the same colors

like this.

After a while, you'll reach a new level and the creature will change to a different

kind.

But don't worry, the best I can tell all of the creatures on the screen are the same,

so you don't have to worry about mixing and matching parts of different creatures.

So I thought I'd try it on the default difficulty level and I can see that the timer moves a

lot faster so you have to start really thinking faster.

So I imagine this can get pretty challenging.

I did manage to catch up with Martin Wendt who created the game, and here's what he

had to say.

When I started programming Assembloids 2600 for the Atari VCS, it was very important to

me to stay with the original restrictions from 1977, which includes the size limit of

4 kilobytes.

Even back then, already games had bank switching schemes, so we spent lots of time and effort

to make this a small, addictive and nice game and cram everything, including a little tune

and an animated logo into 4 Kilobytes of game data.

And we had literally hundreds of people playing it at games com last year in Germany, so we're

pretty confident that this thing has become some addictive, small, fast-reaction puzzle

game.

So I hope you have had as much fun playing it as we have had developing it, and actually

it is one of the games that I keep playing, even though I spent already quite a lot of

time during development.

So, have fun and thanks for listening.

Looking at the manual, I think it is neat how they show some of the evolution of the

game, with some early screenshots.

I also find this part here interesting where it shows the entire 4 kilobyte game code as

a single 64x64 pixel image.

So each pixel represents one byte.

So you can see how little room you have to work with on an Atari 2600 game.

I also found it interesting to learn that he actually used a Commodore 64 to write the

assembly code and then interfaced to an Atari 2600 supercharger to send the file over as

sound waves to mimic loading from a cassette, in order to test the game on the real hardware.

The next game I'm going to review is the Bear Essentials.

This was also sent to me by one of the creators.

I'll go ahead and remove it from the plastic here.

So this case is essentially just a large calendar stand.

However, it works pretty well as a game box, but I have to confess I prefer the cardboard

box of the last game I just showed.

Anyway, so inside we have the main disk itself, and it is also wrapped in plastic.

I'll remove it.

There's actually a lot of other stuff in here.

All right, so here's the actual disk.

I noticed that it has no write-protect notches.

So these aren't just generic disks, and they would have had to use special hardware

to write these disks because of that.

And, here's the manual.

Not a whole lot in here, other than how to load the game and just a page or two on the

gameplay itself.

There's a lot of little stickers and stuff in this package, including this pond software

logo.

And, for those that don't get the joke, this resembles the ocean software label from

back in the 1980s.

Of course, for this game I'm going to need a Commodore 64.

I've decided to use my original C64.

I will also need a disk drive, and again I'm going to go with the original model for some

extra authenticity.

So, let's take the Bear Essentials and stick that in here.

And, according to the users manual, this game uses Joystick Port 2.

That was actually a thing on the Commodore 64 is that some games required port 1 and

others required port 2.

OK, so I'll go ahead and start loading the game.

It immediately starts with this nice little loading screen.

And it does take some time to load from disk, in fact I timed it at 1 minute and 38 seconds.

However, you'll be pleased to know that I also tried it with my EPYX fast load cartridge

and it only took 24 seconds to load.

Another good thing is that once it is loaded it doesn't appear to access the disk drive

again, so that's good.

And here's what it does when it starts.

This is a pretty neat little intro.

As a programmer I immediately notice a few things, such as the fact they are extending

the color bars all the way through the border.

Also the bear logo at the top is just a bunch of double-sized sprites, as well as the two

bear characters at the bottom.

And then it does this.

That's pretty cool.

And then it shows some of the different levels you'll be playing.

Overall, I'd say this is a really well polished intro sequence.

I'm impressed!

OK, so time to start the game.

So, you get to control the little bear on the right.

And that's Papa bear there on the left, and he's adamant that you have to go pickup

350 apples.

I guess these are some family.

Anyway, this is the first screen.

From what I've discovered, most anything that moves will kill you.

So you have to collect these apples and avoid touching anything that moves.

And I'll be honest, I don't even know what that little octopus looking thing is

on the bottom.

It's not something I'd expect to see in the jungle.

If you press run stop or space it will take you to this screen which shows a map of all

of the different areas you've visited so far, and it grows the more you uncover.

And if you use up all of your lives, this is what happens.

It looks like your poor bear family will starve this winter.

Anyway, if you keep playing, you'll eventually find your way to a mine.

And you should see quite a few references to Manic Miner from the Sinclair Spectrum

here.

Now you get to pick up this glowing fruit.

I wonder if it is radioactive or something.

hahah.

Anyway, these levels are surprisingly difficult.

On the bright side, once you make it to the mine, you will never truly die because it

will let you start over at the mine.

So, overall, this game is a fully featured and polished C64 game.

I'm impressed.

OK, so, enough of that.

Let's see what else is on this disk.

Looking at the directory, I see quite a few things here.

I'm curious what Bonkey does.

Interesting.

Its called Super Bonkey Kong.

There is a really annoying high-pitched sound I keep hearing, so I'll change the music.

Ugh.. now it's even worse.

I am going to do you a favor and mute the music.

I think the music routine is incompatible with my C64, maybe it only works right on

PAL systems, or maybe it doesn't like my version of the SID chip, I don't know.

Anyway.

This is pretty funny.

So, apparently I am actually playing the monkey at the top, throwing the barrels down.

So it's like opposite of Donkey Kong.

Kind of funny, actually, and somewhat harder than it looks too, because Mario and Luigi

appear to speed up and slow down randomly.

Well, that's a cool extra!

Another thing on the disk is the original demo version of the game.

You can't do a whole lot besides walk around and jump on stuff.

And then there's a more developed version of the game where you can do a little more,

but there is no sound effects, and apparently the enemies don't hurt you.

So, very cool.

Well, that about wraps it up for this game!

So the last item I want to review today is the Bittboy.

Now, this was a corporate donation sent to me by the company that makes it.

However, don't think that it won't get an objective review because of that.

And so here it is, this is a little handheld gaming system.

When you power it on, you'll see there are 129 games on these.

At first you might think these are gameboy games, but they are actually NES games.

The screen is absolutely beautiful and bright.

In fact, it looks a good bit better in person than it does here on video because there is

some polarization from the LCD and the camera causing a little bit of a moire pattern on

the screen, along with the refresh rates of the two devices.

So, just take my word for it that this screen looks really good in person.

In fact, the screen is something I needed to look at in more detail.

Looking at some closeup images I took, I was surprised at what I saw, because I've never

seen an LCD that looks like this.

At first I thought maybe it was an OLED screen of some kind.

It didn't come with a manual, but the side of the box lists it as an IPS screen.

I had to look that up.

But apparently, it's a relatively new type of LCD.

The pixels are essentially square but they are surrounded by a black border.

Inside each pixels you get a red, green, blue dot pattern shaped sort of like this.

And, I actually think the pixels ratio for the screen is 1 to 1 with the pixel output

of these games, which makes it look even better.

This thing is actually pretty small compared to a gameboy color, for example.

But the screen itself isn't much larger, but it is a lot clearer not only because of

the bright backlight but because the NES had a lot more resolution than the gameboy.

In fact, this unit is about the same width as my iPhone 6, although it is not as tall

and it is a bit thicker.

The closest comparison I can make is with a compact cassette tape, it's about the

exact same size.

On the back you'll find the battery compartment.

It uses a rechargeable lithium battery pack.

In fact, I'm pretty sure this is the same battery pack used in the Gameboy Advance SP,

which is good because that means finding a replacement will not be a problem.

It actually has a standard USB Micro-B cable for charging.

And so you can just plug it in to charge, just like your cell phone.

The only indication you get that it is charging is this little LED here lights up.

It also comes with a composite video cable so you can connect this to a television.

It plugs in here, and when the cable is plugged in the screen and speaker shut off and everything

is routed externally.

The problem with it is that the connector they used is terrible and just most any movement

will cause a disruption in the picture.

I've seen other comments on amazon reviews about this, so I know it isn't just my unit

that has a problem.

So beware of that.

As for the list of games, they have some good titles in here.

And I know a lot of this is subjective, but I think they left out two really important

games.

They have Super Mario 1 and 3, but they don't have 2.

I thought maybe since this is marketed internationally, they would have included Doki Doki Panic instead,

since that's how the game was sold in Japan, but I don't see it on the list either.

Also, Tetris is missing.

They have Tetris 2, but not the original.

And so, for a product that sells for 39 bucks, I think this thing is actually pretty cool.

I've put a list of the games that are built in down in the description field as well as

link to the company that sells it.

And one of the things that I do like about this versus, you know, some people say "why

not just play the games on your cell phone?"

Well, this has tactile controls on it and that's pretty important to me because these

games were designed to be played with tactile controls.

You know, just swiping and some of the stuff you have to do on a cell phone is just not

the same.

Of course, I realize that the use of the unlicensed vintage ROMs in these systems is controversial

at best and that's a topic for another episode.

But, I did want to tell you about something that really annoyed me about the company that

sent this to me.

The first time they offered, several months ago, they offered to send this product to

me for free.

I said, "Sure, that looks interesting."

And so, then they said "well, we want you to pay for shipping."

And then I said, "OK, how much is that?"

It ended up being like $35 and you can buy the whole thing with free shipping on Amazon

for like $39 bucks.

So I told them "no thanks."

And then a few months later they asked me again if I wanted to review it and I said

"I'm not paying $35 shipping."

So they said "Well, we'll send it to you for free."

So, I said, "OK, fine, send it to me."

And they wanted to know when I would do a review on it.

And I said, "Well, you'll see it in an unboxing video on August 1st, and that will

be followed up a week later with a more detailed review."

And they said "OK."

So, I received it a few days later and about every 3 days since I received it they've

been asking me "Well, when you are going to do a video on it?"

And I replied the same thing, "You'll see it on August 1st, followed by a more detailed

review a week later."

And then like every 3 or 4 days like clockwork they're asking me when's there going to

be a video on it.

And I just want to beat my head against the wall because they're just not hearing me.

And so, when the unboxing video came out a few days ago, I sent them the video and I

said "OK, here's the first one and this is going to be followed up with a more detailed

review, you know, in about a week."

And they looked at the video and they wrote me back and and they were like "well, we

wanted a more detailed review than that."

And again, I just wanted to beat my head.

These people just won't.. they're just not listening to me.

So, I hope their customer service is better than that.

But that's actually one of the reasons I don't like doing reviews of commercial products.

It can be really irritating at times.

I was also really impressed with both of these games.

And, I look forward to doing some more reviews on modern games for retro systems.

So if there's any out there, feel free to send them to me and I'll check 'em out.

And, I guess that about wraps it up for this episode.

So, stick around for the next one and thanks for watching!

Reduce Telemarketing Calls | How to Stop Spam Calls - Duration: 5:06.

Good Morning, friends old and new! Are you tired of racing to the telephone

only to hear "We've been trying to locate you due to your automobile warranty" or

"We've got great news regarding your student loan!" I'm sick and tired of those!

I've been getting maybe five or six every single day and I even though I had

registered for the Do Not Call Registry. Then I learned that you can report calls

to the Do Not Call Registry and even though I didn't think it would do any good,

I started reporting them.

Within two weeks my junk phone calls had dropped from five or six per day to one maybe

every other day. It seems to have made a drastic reduction so this little video

is to answer the question, "How do I report phone calls?" so here we

go. I'm going to close that this is my screen I'm using a full screen size here

and just to walk you through this I'm first going to go and create a new tab

by clicking that now I'm going to drag that down so that it's the only tab in

that window and I'm going to just to make things a little simpler I'm

actually going to close that or minimize that tab and I'll maximize this one and

we can see how things are going here I mean to do that here's a tab that we

want so we have our new tab in our new window and we're just going to go to

donotcall.gov which will take us to this screen and in case you haven't yet

registered your phone or phones to the Do Not Call Registry you need to do that

first and you just click on this and then you can register your phones I'm

going to assume that you've already done that so I'm not going to walk you

through that besides it's simple and you can do it

without any question go over here to the report unwanted calls because that

appears to be the key to have a surprise that it made such a

difference but it seemed to make a huge difference so there's some text here

about reporting calls and so on what you want to read then go to continue and

that will take you to the forum where you actually do report the unwanted

calls now I'm going to reduce this just to make it convenient take it down as

small as I can and actually make it shorter and then I'm just going to drag

it up here in the corner and it's going to live up there so when I get an

unwanted call I just fill out this form it's only two pages and after you've

done it once a lot of the stuff is pre-installed for you looks like this

should be a little lower now to continue tells you it asks you who called and

when did they call and so on what the call was about you want to you want to

fill that in by clicking down here and then continue what number did they call

this took us back around I guess for some reason that isn't going to the

continued page well I'll have to fix that on my own

that's step one of three for some reason that isn't working at the moment but

trust me it'll work for you so that's all there is to it

and we hope that you have the good luck and good fortune to enjoy the benefits

of going to the modest amount of work to fill out this form for each phone call

that you get yet really made a difference at our place and I continue

to to register the phones when I do get them it only takes a few

seconds if you have it set up like this because now when I'm done I will

minimize that and I can go about my daily work

doing whatever I'm whatever I'm doing and let's say I get a phone call I want

to report it so I just go down here pick the Do Not Call Registry page click on

that that comes up, I fill it out, and that's it!

So I hope it works for you and thanks for watching. If you find this

useful go ahead and Like it or save it or Subscribe or whatever seems

appropriate ---depending on where you and where you did it.

So this is Keith and thanks for watching!

U.S. officials soften tone on N. Korea, but warns regime to stand down - Duration: 2:13.

After trading some of their harshest verbal salvos yet,... the United States is taking

a more measured tone in its message to North Korea,... although we could still see some

tweets from President Trump about the North's latest statement that mocked him personally.

Trump is coming under criticism at home for his blunt "fire and fury" remarks,... with

Democrats and even members of his own party... accusing him of unnecessary warmongering.

Yu Joonhee has the details.

On Tuesday, President Trump said "fire and fury" would rain down on North Korea if it

continues to threaten the U.S.,... in the most menacing language he has ever directed

at the regime.

In the wake of his comments,... and the sudden outbreak of brinkmanship between Washington

and Pyongyang,...

U.S. officials are now trying to restore a sense of calm... amid concerns of a looming

conflict.

On Wednesday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson defended Trump's rhetoric,... saying the President...

was simply adopting a type of language that would resonate more with the North Korean

leadership.

"So I think the president, what the president is doing is sending a strong message to North

Korea in language that Kim Jong-un would understand, because he doesn't seem to understand diplomatic

language."

Tillerson added, there was no reason to believe a war was imminent... despite the recent uptick

in tensions... and that Americans should sleep well at night.

Secretary of Defense James Mattis, one of the more hard-nosed members of Trump's cabinet...

maintained a tough stance, although far more nuanced, than that of his commander-in-chief.

In a statement Wednesday, Mattis warned Pyongyang that its actions could lead to the end of

the regime, and destruction of its people.

President Trump meanwhile, is facing criticism from Capitol Hill,... with lawmakers from

both parties accusing him of poor judgment with his bombastic comments.

Democrats especially, slammed the president for what they called his "unhinged" and "reckless"

remarks,... saying it could drag the U.S. into an avoidable conflict with North Korea.

Questions over his temperament aside, there's little doubt over North Korea's alarming progress

in its ballistic missile programs.

The Washington Post reported on Tuesday,... citing U.S. intelligence sources, that North

Korea had miniaturized a nuclear warhead that could be mounted on one of its missiles.

Yu Joonhee, Arirang News.

20 Brilliant IKEA Bathroom Organization Ideas - Duration: 11:51.

It's easy to be intimidated by the way IKEA stages their perfect showroom bathrooms, but

it's a lot simpler than you'd believe to transform your dull washroom into a spa-caliber sanctuary

using their furniture just a little differently than intended.

To help get you there, we've rounded up 20 spectacularly (mostly) simple hacks to give

your loo a fresh look.

1.

Add Missing Sink Storage

If you bathroom vanity doesn't come with a shelf, install one of IKEA's super slender

picture ledges.

It'll fit under just about any mirror, and offers a handy spot to stow items you use

every day, like your favorite perfume.

2.

Cleverly Create a Sink With Storage

That's a salad bowl sink.

Pure genius?

We think so.

And as if this hack couldn't get any better, the vanity is also a lacquered IKEA dresser.

3.

Use Kitchen Cabinets

If we've said it once, we've said it a million (okay, 12) times: Don't limit your use of

kitchen cabinets to your cooking space.

In bathrooms, these storage compartments are the perfect height for a double-sink vanity.

4.

Update Boring Furniture

Nothing gives away that a piece of furniture is from IKEA faster than that black-brown

wooden color.

Here, a green finish goes on top, creating a vintage vibe that makes this piece look

like it's one-of-a-kind (and now it sorta is).

5.

Store Hot Hair Tools

Here's an excuse to finally pick up that super-cheap kitchen utensil holder you've been eye-ing

at IKEA for sometime.

It's just as handy in your bathroom for storing your curling iron and straightener.

Just throw the hot tools into the container to cool — and avoid nasty burns.

6.

Keep Essentials Within Reach

The RASKOG Cart is without a doubt the most flexible IKEA item (it's useful in seriously

every room).

And in the bathroom?

It's the most convenient way to make sure toilet paper and tissues are only an arm's

length away.

7.

Give Makeup a Home

These pod-like containers (dubbed the PLUGGIS system) attach to the wall, creating compartments

to store makeup, brushes, and remover — it's basically a wall-mounted vanity and saves

tons of floor space.

8.

Enhance Your Toilet Paper Holder

By adding leather straps that hold a small wooden bar, the BEKVAM Spice Rack becomes

a toilet paper dispenser that has a shelf on top for air fresheners — so your bathroom

can be oh so much more pleasant.

9.

Make Furniture Work Double-Duty

The BEKVAM step-stool is a double-duty bathroom organizer: You can use it to give kids a boost

when they're brushing their teeth or washing up, then rest hand towels on it the rest of

the time.

10.

Turn a Shelf Into a Towel Holder

This ladder shelf is often found in living rooms, and looks elegant holding books and

magazines — but in the bathroom it offers slender storage for clean towels and toilet

paper.

11.

Display Nail Polish

What better collection is there to keep on the BEKVAM Spice Rack than nail polish?

It's built to hold small, round containers and lets you peek at the colors before picking

the one you want to use.

12.

The butcher block vanity

While the BEKVAM may have been developed with kitchens in mind, it makes for a simple and

rustic vanity too.

You'll need to cut a hole out of the top to fit the bottom of the sink basin, and perhaps

test your carpentry skills on the shelving below

13.

Toiletry spice racks

Turns out, IKEA's handy wall-mountable wooden spice racks are perfectly sized to stash all

the random hygiene products you've got squirreled away in all the vulnerable nooks and crannies

of your bathroom.

14.

Sink-side shelving

If you're lucky enough to have some extra room on either side of your sink, these tall

KALLAXs can provide some much-needed storage space.

15.

Rustic tub front panel

paint Your inexpensive tub liner may work perfectly well, but it's nothing to look at.

Give it an interesting rustic facelift by fastening a series of connected wooden shelves

along the facade, painted whatever color best suits your existing decor.

16.

Hang-anywhere toiletry caddies

For those who haven't been blessed with unlimited storage space for toiletries and the like,

this is one plain and simple informal solution.

Find the center of your rope, then fasten each's hooks at equal points along each side

and hang it from a hook on the back of the bathroom door

17.

A privacy wall of stacked glass vases

If you happen to find yourself in a setup where there's a large open space with a standalone

bathtub and little privacy, this is worth looking into.

First you'll want to coat the inside of each and every vase with a paint color of your

choice, and let it dry.

Then it's time to build your wall, stacking them ever so carefully in a brick-like pattern

with clear epoxy between each layer, ensuring it's as secure and solid as possible.

18.

Reverse-mounted shelving

Keep stacks of towels easily accessible and out of sight by mounting a KALLAX backwards

wherever you have some narrow free space, securing it with brackets along each shelf

as well as along the top and bottom.

19.

Clean and simple shower caddy

There's plenty of use for this handy storage setup outside the kitchen.

Install the rail along the wall above your tub and hang your choice of soap or loofah

caddies up along the edge.

And if you have little kids running around, it also functions as a great spot to stash

all their bath toys

20.

Industrial floating storage Another more involved project, this shelving

setup is the most impressive on the list.

You'll need to whip out your tool belt to do some minor carpentry to construct the bottom

shelf and coordinate the whole pipe frame, but just keep reminding yourself it's worth

it.

That's all for now.

Don't forget to subscribe, like, and give your comment if you like this video and share

to your friends.

Thanks for watching and see in the next video.

#MiltonCAN - Duration: 3:37.

Milton can. Milton can. Milton can. Milton can.

Milton Can.

I remember a time in high school reading Huck Finn, and you know in the book

there's a lot of racial slurs that come up in it and a student, or several students, brought it up to the teacher.

And there was a brief discussion about why we can and can't say it while we're reading the book and

a lot of the students and the teachers were very

clearly uncomfortable talking about it. And the discussion was kind of shut down

And us a few of us in the class felt like there was a really

good opportunity to talk about these sensitive issues that was lost in this environment.

I remember when I first moved to Milton in eighth grade

I was really smart and

so a friend of mine,

we were in class one day, and he looked at me,

and he didn't mean anything by it. He wasn't trying to be mean, but he he looked at me and said,

"I didn't know people like you could be so smart."

I remember, as an educator, interacting with students where they would call each other names.

Some of those times those names would be

derogatory based on race, or ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

And many times the response is, "I'm just joking, it's just a joke, can't you take a joke?"

Or many times the response is, "It's okay, like we're friends. It's my buddy."

And I have taken the opportunity each each time that that's happened to explain how that affects the broader community

And how it affects other people when they hear those types of things.

But most importantly, any joke that is based on hate, and it's based on the perpetuation of a stereotype, a negative stereotype

that's hurtful. It causes pain. How is that funny?

I remember one time I was talking with one of my favorite teachers and

we said something, and she responded, and I laughed back,

"Oh is it because I'm black??" totally joking.

And she laughed, and responded, and said,

"I don't even even think of you as black."

So what are all these red ones supposed to be?

Geese.

Ah, the geese. And how many geese are flying?

Um…9.

9. And then what happened in the story?

And then…and then 2…2 rest.

Oh, 2 went to rest. Where do you think they went?

Um, they went in a eagle's nest.

Oh, maybe they went to a nest.

So how many are still flying?

7.

7? How did you know it was 7?

Because if you take 2 away

and they're sleeping in the eagle's nest

that makes 7.

Ah, that's really cool.

I like how you show the ones that are still flying

and the ones that are resting.

I can see both parts of the story. How cool!
