Youtube daily report w Aug 11 2017

[intro music]

Hi, and welcome to another episode of the trans 101 series. Today, we are going to be talking about legal transition.

I've talked about many different types of transitioning and transitions- um,

Within this series. I have talked about medical transition, I've talked about social transition, and I've talked about natural transition.

Today, we are focusing on the legal aspect of transitioning, and what I mean by that is really

Documents and papers, birth certificates, passports, IDs, gender marker changes, name changes, and all that. So if you're looking for an answer

Into oh, how do I change my name, how do I change my gender marker?

this is not a question that I can answer and I'm telling you this at the beginning of this video because

Every single state, and every single province, and every single country has a different way of doing it

Yes, there might be some similarities, but it's different everywhere

So the way that I was able to change my name and gender marker is not going to be the same as somebody who lives

In Ohio that can change your gender marker or their name

but what I want to talk about is the importance of these documents and

the kind of

Bureaucracy that trans people have to go through and just so that some people who are not trans or maybe just allies are just

Question- questioning individuals- just to understand some of the things that we have to go through, um, as part of our transition

So that's why I'm labeling this as your legal transition. So usually trans people pick a new name

They either have someone help name them, or they have a name that's very close to their birth name,

Or they have- they've chosen a completely different name, random, that doesn't have to do with anything.

So most trans people will want to change their name legally, and you want to change your name legally because you want your cards on

your ID to match the name that you go by

this is important for a lot of people because when you go to the doctors and they look at your ID,

a lot of people don't want the people looking at the name that is very "feminine", or

And I'm saying "feminine" in quotations because what are names, they're just words

They'll look down, and they'll see a name that says, let's see- just say, Jessica

and then you look up and the person has-

Looks like me. Like that- th- that would make a lot of people uncomfortable at the tr- like that would make me uncomfortable

And that's why I changed my name because I didn't want to go to the doctor and keep having to hear the name that I wasn't

associating myself with. Now, you don't have to change your name legally if you don't want, some people choose to never change their name and

that is completely fine, some people choose to keep their birth name because they're very ambiguous and

Androgynous and gender-neutral and that's fine too, but for the people who want to change their name, like I have,

It was very important for me to

legally do it and- and- and the- the-

The moment that everything is sent in and you get everything back, and it's approved that your name is now changed

It's such an empowering day

because it's

It's almost like you feel like your life can start, and there are so many things that you can do now. You can now apply for

A passport, if you didn't have one, you can update your driver's license

You can update your medicare card, you could update all of your cards, all- everything, your school ID and everything so that it can match

Who you actually are. And this is the same thing for gender marker changes. Now,

I know a lot of people that don't want to get their gender marker changed, and that is completely fine

This was such an important thing for me because I was so tired of getting mail that said Mrs.

Chase Ross and I was like

Who are these- anyways, it just got so annoying, and I really wanted my passport

And I really wanted my ID to match who I am, and one of the big reasons is because one

I travel a lot, and I never- I never wanted to deal with

Having to go with the passport that said female, and I look like this, and I will say that I have

gone and travelled with

Documents that have my old name and my old gender marker and I look like this, and it was very uncomfortable

I actually travelled from Canada to United States to Scotland, um, under a passport, even though

I look like - it was fine, nothing had happened, but it was very uncomfortable for me

I did not want to show my passport to the individuals who were looking at the passport and I also

Couldn't show my passport to anyone because they didn't know I was trans, like, it was just very hard for me

To go through life like that because I do travel a lot

And I do use those IDs a lot. So, the significance of a legal transition for a lot of people, remember,

This is my trans experience, and I'm talking about a lot of experiences that I have seen in front of me

but I do not talk for the trans community, but for me the

the- s- the- the- the

Moment that all of your papers are done the symbolic

aspect of legal transition is very empowering, because

Once you get your name and your gender marker change you're kind of done, all of your legal documents

Usually you're able to change all of your other things. Now, yes, it is different in a lot of states. In some states

They make you change like your social security number, and then you can't change your driver's license or something weird like that

Here it was very simple- heh, "simple"

I'm doing that quotations because... you change your birth certificate

And then you can change all of your other cards later on, doesn't that just make sense?

I'm saying it was a little more complicated for me because

back when I changed my name, you needed to publish your name in the newspaper, twice, once, a- once a week for two weeks and

You had to pay for that, and you had to pay for a name change, and first you even had to submit a pre-application

To tell them why you want to change your name, and

Trans wasn't- like being trans or changing your name wasn't a thing that you can click off, you have to explain, in a big paragraph,

Why you want to change your name,

And why it causes you distress.

So you do that, then they send you the papers back, then you apply, you put your name in the newspaper

And all this stuff, and then you finally get it back and then you get a certificate

And they say within the 30 days you will or may not

Get your- your new

name change

Certificate because they want to see if you're trying to escape the law, and so we have 30 days for people to like look you up

to see if the name that you're going by the name that you were going by before

Is like you're trying to escape the law. And it's very nerve-wracking because your name gets put in the newspaper, your old name,

So it would say, "birth name is changing their name to Chase Ross,

Who lives on-" and then my whole address, my phone number, my postal code, and everything, it was- it was- it's terrifying

Bless that that is not a thing that we need to do in Quebec anymore

Fantastic. The gender marker change was very hard too- and I'm telling you these stories

just so that you can see some of the things that we have to go through, and it's just not fair, honestly, because

We have to go through so much

So much in life, and the legal transition aspect should be so easy. It should be like oh, I'm trans, here,

Let me click this off on one piece of paper and everything gets changed, but instead you have places like in Quebec

Where you need to have a hysterectomy in order to change your gender marker.

Thank God that is no longer a thing, they changed it,

I was able to get my gender marker changed with just top surgery. I have no idea how I was able to do that

I don't know anyone else who was able to get that done before they changed the law

But the fact that I even sent in my application

And I had to get a doctor to sign a letter for me, and I had to get another doctor to write

specific stuff, and I had to send an application, send money, and if it was denied

I would lose all of that money

It is very, very stressful

And I know that there are a lot of places in the United States where you actually have to appear in court

In order to change your name and your gender marker

And I know that some places- [sighs] I don't remember which country this is, I feel like it's Colombia

You have- is it Colombia?

I think so. Where you have to sue your parents in order for you to be able to change your gender marker.

I may be wrong on the country

So please don't quote me on that, but I feel like it was Colombia. And then there are other p-

I actually feel like maybe it was Poland. I know, completely other sides of the world. I know, I'm sorry

I sh- I don't remember, I just... yeah

Let's just leave it that. And then there are some places where you can change your name

But your birth name will always be on your birth certificate

Don't leave it put it on the back or it's still going to be there in parentheses

So it's almost like they make it hard,

super, super hard for trans people to change their name and their gender marker and is a lot of

Gatekeeping because it does cost a lot of money to change your name and gender marker. In total my entire legal transition cost me about

$800, from changing my name, to changing my gender marker, to getting two passports, to getting

Um, new cards, all of this stuff in the newspaper, getting somebody to I needed to get, like a- an, a- someone- an oath

I had to like sign an oath

And I had to pay the person money in order for them to verify that all my information was correct

Transition aspect while I was in university

And I would wait for calls from the government while I was in class, and when a call would come in,

I had would have to dash out of class and be like, "hello, hello", where I even had a government official

I promise you this is not. I'm not lying

a person from the Government of Quebec

Literally said to me

"Um, you need a penis to be a man"

I was asking if I can change my gender marker with top surgery, and he tells me that I need to have a penis

Basically I need to have bottom surgery in order to change my gender marker

This was so scarring for me

And I'm a person that can deal with a lot of things, because a lot of things have happened to me, and I'm okay

But I can only imagine how traumatic that could be for some people

Anyways, this is all to say

I just wanted to explain a little bit, umbrella term, of legal transition. There are different aspects to it

But I can't get into everything right now. If you want more

Information on how to change your name or how to change your gender marker,

wherever you are, I will try to put as many links as I can in the description below, and

um, as always with these transition videos and the different types of transition

you know, even if a person's name is not changed, respect their name and

even if their gender marker isn't changed, respects their pronouns.

I feel like this is just like, it's like, the basics of being a decent human being, just respect other people. Anyways, thank you

So much for joining me. I will see you later. Have a great day. Bye

One Stamp Set, One Card - Neat & Tangled 5th Birthday Blog Hop - Duration: 6:07.

- [Kristina] Hi everyone, Kristina here.

Welcome to another card video

at my YouTube channel and blog.

Today I'm starting out with some Distress Oxide inks.

This first color is Candied Apple.

And I'm blending it onto some white card stock.

This is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White

in the 80 pound version.

And I've cut it down

to be four-and-a-quarter wide by five-and-a-half tall.

Going to be doing some blending in rainbow order

on the edge of the card stock,

and then I'll eventually cut it off

to be a very narrow strip.

I mostly just wanted to get these colors

onto a small sort of border type shape,

that I will be eventually adhering to my card front.

So the whole idea behind this card

came from me looking at this particular stamp set

from Neat & Tangled.

And it only has two stamps on it, it's a smaller stamp set.

And I wanted to challenge myself

to create a card using only stamps from that one stamp set.

So it's basically just two stamps,

it's like a greeting stamp.

So I'm going to be doing a lot of blending

and inking for most of the card design,

and then I'll just do the stamping to finish it off.

So I used a bunch of colors from the Distress Oxide line.

And then like I said before,

I'm making it into a really narrow strip.

So I've just trimmed that off

using my Tonic Guillotine 12-inch trimmer.

And I'm going to prep my card base.

This is that same color of card stock,

except now it's the 110 pound version.

And I've scored that at five-and-a-half

to create a top-folding card.

So here's that little tiny stamp set, it's called Hooray.

And it's actually part of kind of a celebration collection

of stamps and dyes for Neat & Tangled's fifth birthday.

I think it's really fun.

My friend Danielle, she's had this company

for five years and she kind of...

It's kind of like a one-woman show running it,

and she does all the illustration

and everything's just super cute.

So I just want to celebrate her and celebrate her company,

and all the great and awesome stamps that she puts out.

So I'm going to stamp the large Hooray image

in some Versafine onyx black ink,

and I'm stamping that onto the front of the card.

And I'm gonna actually stamp this twice

so that it gets really stark and really bright black.

And then I'm gonna take the other stamp in the stamp set,

and I'm gonna position that right above.

And I'm going to stamp this six times going up the card.

I'm going to change the colors each time I stamp it,

so I'm starting off with Wilted Violet.

And I'm going to do it in that same rainbow order,

but I'm gonna do it backwards from how I did the blending,

because I'm gonna have the red

be at the very top of the card.

So in between each color,

I did use a baby wipe just to clean off that stamp.

And one of the great things about Distress Oxide ink

is that it comes off your stamp without staining,

without any problems, and it cleans up really easily.

So now I'm using Broken China, and I'm gonna stamp this.

And I'll end up stamping it twice

to make sure I get a nice, solid image.

The next color I used is Peeled Paint.

And like I said before, these are the same colors

that I used for the blending on that card stock

that I've cut into a narrow strip.

So for yellow, I used Fossilized Amber.

And this is actually more of like, a gold-yellow shade.

It almost has like, a little bit of a...

A dirty yellow to it with the regular Distress ink version.

But the Oxide version, I find it to be a little more bright.

It's a little bit more mustard, more of a mustard color,

so it works well.

So now I'm going to move onto Spiced Marmalade.

And like I did with those previous colors,

I did stamp it twice to get a really solid image.

And then the very last color is Candied Apple,

this nice, bright red shade.

So I have rainbow colors going all the way up the card.

And then I'm gonna take that narrow strip

that I made earlier,

and I'm gonna put some adhesive on the back.

I'm using some Tombow Xtreme Adhesive,

and I'm just gonna make sure that that entire strip

has some adhesive on all of the back.

And then I'm going to place it

over on the right edge of this card.

So I'll just line it up starting at the fold,

the top fold of the card,

and then kind of swing that down

and get it lined up with the edge.

So it just mimics those colors

that are going down in the words as well.

So because it looked a little bit plain,

I'm gonna take my We R Memory Keepers corner chomper

and I'm going to round the top left corner of the card.

I'm just gonna chomp it with the half-inch rounder.

And then I put on some sequins.

Now, these sequins are from Neat & Tangled as well.

This is their Like Magic sequin pack.

And I really love it because these sequins

have kind of like, a blueish-purple cast on one side

and then more of pink-yellow on the other side.

They're really interesting, they're really fun sequins.

So I've adhered those down

using some Ranger multimedia matte,

and then also some tweezers

just to help me perform that card surgery.

So that is the card for today.

I really liked this challenge that I gave myself

to only use the one stamp set.

Make sure you head over to my blog.

Today is actually part of a blog hop

for Neat & Tangled's fifth birthday celebration.

They've had some great blog hops all week long,

so you can go to their blog

and follow even more people there.

And there's a giveaway involved also.

So thanks so much for watching,

and I'll catch you guys in my next video.

Trans 101: Ep 11 - Legal Transition [CC] - Duration: 10:10.

So I've adhered those down

using some Ranger multimedia matte,

and then also some tweezers

just to help me perform that card surgery.

Accounting for Beginners #62 / Straight Line Depreciation Method / Accounting Tutorial 101 - Duration: 15:03.

locks up my workout for a day let's see grizzly oh boy oh man that's this

afternoon us after the lift because after all I have to stay the strongest

CPA in Florida or else how could I do these videos but couldn't been strongest

licensee 3 in the state of Florida that's who I am I am CPA strength okie

dokie what do you do CPA strings I teach the world basic accounting through

building blocks basis my basics by basics by basics I have a classic series

you're watching a part of it you're watching an installment of the classic

series right now so you should be so thrilled that you found me on the

Internet you should be so thrilled this is number

62 straight-line depreciation and you're wondering hey TG 61 other ones if this

is 52 and you are so smart and you are correct this is big link the card hit

this this is the so bringing to the other 61 videos of the classic series

really no particular order you can make them there you can make a playlist of

your own in the in the order that you like or certain videos that you like of

mine and you can even go to other channels and find videos that you like

over there to make yourself a YouTube playlist to help yourself to help you

better yourself and achieve your goals and go on to bigger and better things

and don't let nobody tell you can't do what you're dreaming about that's that's

just that's just been just potty mouth that's rubbish that's rush

daud-what my purple eye dog we're doing with a purple to them to order purple

babies go over to purple oh come on man well man let's do it is it's a

straight-line depreciation what I want to say about what I want to say about

the straight-line depreciation is and pretty much most other things with with

accounting like series and stuff like depreciation and then we're doing we're

going about straight-line depreciation this

one in the next one we're gonna talk about double declining balance maybe you

know take a few hours don't worry about what everybody don't

worry about it somebody else seems they just learn in two seconds and they can

ace everything I don't like those people anyways okay I'll tell you but don't

don't worry about anybody else that that's when I started making a lot of

gains in you know my CPA studying because that I wasn't worried about how

many how many hours everyone else was studying I was just studying as much as

I took it in and I need more than most people so let's go let's do the

straight-line depreciation here facts the facts that we are using now we

discussed in the in the last video I just talked about depreciation number 61

the facts reason we've our truck from $5,000 a pizza truck because I'm

fattening a pizza but a pizza truck for $5,000 useful a five years no residual

value we're just going to once we're done with over it's been freaking burn

it those are straight-line depreciation I

want you to see that when how would you get how would you get the amount every

year I want you to notice that the depreciation for the year I filled it in

is a straight line $2,000 depreciation for year one year two year three year

four of your five it's all $1000 depreciation it's in a straight line

like if if four thousand dollars brought you to this level that would be

depreciation year one thousand dollars a year $2,000 $3,000 $4,000 500 straight

line it's the same amount every year that's straight-line depreciation and

nutshell basically so if you know that now we can just let's just fill in the

rest of the chart I know how the formula how to get straight line and you can

come you can however really however in your mind makes sense to you that you

bought a chart for five years and you're going to eat I mean you bought for five

thousand use it for five years that's $1,000 a year with those raising

numbers so the formula to figure out straight-line depreciation is the cost

$5,000 - residual value we have no residual

value so 5,000 minus zero is 5,000 divided by our useful life of five so

5,000 divided by five is 1,000 so that's going to be our depreciation every year

until we expense the whole fight until we expensable $5,000 via depreciation

expense boom all right another thing another thing I did fill in let's look

let's just scrutinize your chart a little bit we have different year year 1

year 2 year 3 year 4 year 5 next next line over and our chart we have the cost

of our pizza truck the cost never changes kind of like the journal entry

for depreciation you know you don't you don't mess the cost

ooh anyways the cost of doesn't change cost us five thousand dollars every year

not so much a cost that doesn't change our next line over sorry for the short

shorting the word abbreviated sorry for abbreviating I don't like rereading so

much other you know the word sorry for that I had to do it here for room this

is an accumulated depreciation to the beginning of the year the next line I

didn't feel anything right about together or you can try to do it now

before we afford this exercise next line book value beginning of year against the

only single Riggs out together as well the next one is straight-line annual

depreciation rate so you're going to see it's a it's twenty percent this is going

to kind of come into play when we do the next one the rate would be twenty

percent because that the one hundred percent total twenty percent forty

percent percent 80% 100% so it's the same it's a

straight line so it's the same percent every year and then over there we have

depreciation for the year and it's straight line a thousand dollars then to

the market that we have Book value and of year so let's fill this chart

together year one we bought we bought our pizza truck for five thousand

dollars accumulated depreciation and beginning the year well we just bought

it so we haven't had we haven't we haven't had time to do a depreciation

expense or anything so depreciation expense and similarly depreciation or

like biffle's so we haven't had any of that yet so accumulate depreciation we

going to the Year Zero Book value the beginning of the year well what's in our

books what's the pizza truck on our books it's

going to be what we bought it for minus accumulated depreciation and that's

going to be our Book value that's how much to be on our books but we don't

have any depreciating accumulated depreciation yet so Book value gained

users hundred five thousand dollars

there we go all right run through the straight-line annual depreciation rate

twenty percent depreciation for the year one thousand look value end of year how

we're going to get that how are we going to get that well we've got a book value

beginning of here all right - depreciation for the year and that is

going to be four thousand dollars is our Book value all right

now it's a straight-line depreciation here straight line because the rate and

the amount of straight of differentiation are the same every year

so now let's go over to accumulated depreciation beginning of year one

thousand dollars to lose depreciated once for one thousand dollars book value

beginning here well at the end of CL sergeants is here to now so we've done

our tax return here both value the end of year one was four thousand so after

the end of the year the book value that means the same book values for the

beginning of year so book Riley beginning of the year 4000 all right -

thousand depreciation for thee for this year for year to four thousand the

beginning Book value minus depreciation for the year is the book value at the

end of the year for year 2 which is $3,000 that's Book value let's go to

year three now what's the accumulated depreciation beginning of the year well

it was one thousand but then we had another one thousand of depreciation so

two thousand dollars accumulated appreciation for like know how YouTube

so hard let's go ma'am free all hot veteran the air off there's our own yet

important soon but we're almost done so let's keep going here

we're on year three here what's going on here three what's our human depreciation

the beginning of the year well it was one thousand then we just had one

thousand more dollars depreciation so two thousand dollars accumulated

depreciation beginning the year what's the book value again if your book values

are cost accumulated depreciation so $3,000 is

our Book value - the same rate depreciation which is a straight line -

$1000 depreciation for year 3 the book value at the end of the year is $2,000

so folks write an interview here is the book value in the B gain of the year so

well why don't I switch it up so this is 2000 right uh-huh

accumulated depreciation begins the year now we're in the airport here or in here

for we've been using the fourth year we've been using our truck here our

little pizza truck got a lot of pizzas out we've been grinding our bums over

this pizza truck but now but we it was accumulated depreciation reading of the

year was 2000 then we added another 2000 depreciation so arcuate appreciation for

beginning of here for is $3,000

all right enough is if we bought the pizza tie for $5,000 when you have

accumulated depreciation of $3,000 that means our Book value is $2,000 for our

pizza truck now we have the same straight-line depreciation every year so

we'd appreciate a thousand dollars for the year so what's our Book value at the

end of the year for what's our Book value here well it was two thousand

dollars when we just added another thousand dollars of depreciation to to

or subtracted nine thousand dollars depreciation from the book value so two

thousand dollars book value minus depreciation one thousand dollars at the

end of year four is the book value end of the year now what's the accumulated

depreciation at the beginning of the year what was three two at the end of

the year five is the last year where's he gonna burn this pizza truck after

this year but it's been what it's been it's been roya sending oil to us was

three thousand and year four was three thousand accumulated depreciation you

had another thousand dollars depreciation for the year so the

accumulated depreciation was four thousand dollars the beginning of the

year

what's the book value at the end of the year what's the book value at the

beginning of the year year what's the book value of the pizza truck beginning

of year five well what was the book value the end of year for $1,000 so the

at the end is just a beginning so the end is the beginning the end is just the

beginning the end is just a beginning

$1,000 that's the book value beginning year five now let's take our same

depreciation straight-line of a thousand dollars that we do every year now this

is the last year of depreciation and lo and behold the book values beginning of

the year minus depreciation the book value at the end of year five is

zero so I think this is a great thing this is a great exercise I hope you

enjoyed this one I went a little long let's see how I can edit it but I don't

This is Pinosol park

Last year during summer,

In August

A fire broke out

and the park burned.

I spoke with the biologist

I explained what I do

and asked what would happen

to all the burnt pines...

They told me they would cut them to te floor

so I asked If I could sculpt them,

for the park

to kind of hide the disaster

that took place last summer.

He told me to mark them before

they got cut

I chose the ones I wanted

we cut them

and since then I've started to sculpt.

People think this is great.

I saw this as a way

to avoid having an empty park,

you can still see the damage

but at least give some hope

some quality.

And also for the kids

I'm often here sculpting

and they like to guess

what animal will come out.

I am a Tree Pruner.

When I was a kid I use to draw

and paint.

One day I saw this on TV

in Canada, America

where they would have championships

and here in the north of Spain

they also do sculpting championships.

And that's when I said: I have to try this

And yeah...It's working quite well.

When I see a picture

I then imagine the figure

on the tree

I take the chainsaws and from there

I start with the cutting

then the details

and to finish I sand it

that changes the final result.

What I don't understand

is the people who

go around setting fires.

I don't know what they're looking for

but I see it as malevolence

It provoques changes,

sudden changes

and they're very noticeable

I did this

for the people to come

and not to see the damage that was done

so when they come to the park

they have something to see

Trans 101: Ep 11 - Legal Transition [CC] - Duration: 10:10.

Bye

Mango Chipotle BBQ Sauce - Duration: 2:00.

Today I'm going to make Mango Chipotle BBQ sauce, which is really versatile.

You can put on on smoked Ribs, which turned out awesome.

Roasted Chicken is a crowd pleaser and you can even use that chicken on a burrito with

extra chipotle sauce.

So stay tuned if you've ever wondered what happens when you mix mango and chipotle peppers.

I'm going to mix up the sauce using a food processor, but a blender would work just as

well.

Add a cup of mango, which is about two whole mangos minus the pits.

Canned mangos will work in a pinch, but fresh is always better.

Add 3/4 cup of your favorite ketchup.

1 TBS pineapple juice, 1 TBS Worcestershire Sauce, and 1 TBS apple cider vinegar.

Finally, add the star of the sauce, canned chipotle peppers, which are smoked jalapeños.

Add two whole peppers or a little more if you like it spicier.

Next, put on the lid and blitz for about 20 seconds or so until it's nice and smooth.

When it's done it should have about this consistency.

You can always add a bit more juice and water to thin it up.

Then the only thing left to do is put it in a container to store in the refrigerator for

up to a week.

If you want to see more sauce making videos, check out my sauce play list and click subscribe

for more videos about grilling, smoking, and cooking with fire.

We'll catch you next time.

How To Teach Your Puppy To Come And Socialize Them With Other Dogs /Dog Vlogs Episode 20/ - Duration: 11:08.

- Ready, set, (exclaiming) here, here, here.

(giggling) yay!

Good boy!

Woo-hoo!

(dog barks)

- We are out for a walk today.

We have a new member with us just out for the walk,

and it's little Bruin, the Black Lab.

You can see Bruin's on a line.

We have Corey Curtis with us, who you might remember

from one of our other videos.

We did a things that new dog owners should know video,

and I'll actually post a link.

I'll put a card up on the top right hand corner for that.

But we're talking today with Corey a little bit about

some of the things that he's doing with his puppy,

some of the things that he's found helpful,

some of the things that might be, maybe

he should just eliminate from his routine,

and the idea came up or the notion Came up of dog parks.

And Corey made a great point that it's such a nice way

to burn off some of your dog's energy,

to go out and be able to let your dog burn off some steam,

and in a lot of situations, people feel like their dog

is getting socialized to other dogs.

That's not necessarily always the case, and it's something

that we talked about with Corey today, so.

Corey, let's just talk about the convenience

of a dog park for you, like, why do you feel

like you want to take Bruin to the dog park?

- Oh, definitely right now just cause we live in Oakfill,

little condo, no backyard, so a dog park's

easily convenient for us.

- Totally. - And there's

nowhere else to go.

- Absolutely, yeah I know.

And that's a pretty common thing.

People feel like their dog needs to get out

and go for a big run and sometimes

the dog park is a great place to do that.

And sometimes you need to be a little bit more aware

when you're in a location like the dog park.

Cale and I can tell you, numerous times

we've had students come in and say something like,

had my dog at the dog park and he got attacked,

and you certainly don't want your dog to be

a guinea pig for a lot of these socialization things,

getting them socialized to other dogs.

That's not the best way to do it.

- And I think it can work both ways,

there's some dogs that will go to the dog park,

and if they're already sort of maybe a softer,

more sensitive type, then it's really easy for them

to get bullied and the average person

doesn't necessarily know how to read dog body language

because it's, it sort of takes

a long time to learn something like that.

So, often there's things that are going on

between the dogs that us humans don't understand.

The dogs get it but we don't understand.

Or, the opposite can happen.

If you don't have a dog that will be overwhelmed,

maybe your dog's the bully and you don't even know.

- Yeah. - so they're portraying

some bully type behaviors, and if they're getting

naturally reinforced for that behavior

by how the other dogs react, that sometimes can

pose problems as well.

So, there's two sides of the story

that you need to be aware of when it comes to dog parks.

- Yeah, so let's talk about some things that you can do.

That you can avoid the dog park, but you can do

to tire out your puppy.

So a couple ways that you can exercise your dog

without taking them to the dog park

are things like doing retrieving.

- Yeah, retrieving is a great thing to do

because it's something that you can do

that also involves you and the dog.

Another sort of downside to doing the dog park thing is

your dog sort of goes away and they have fun

and they run, but it has nothing to do with you.

In fact, you're reinforcing them for ignoring you

because they're basically playing with the other dogs.

So retrieving is good because it tires them out

and you're doing something together.

It helps build a relationship and it's a fun thing

that you can do, even if you just do a little bit

a couple times a day, it can be good.

The hard part about doing retrieving is

you need to train your dog to retrieve first.

But, we have a video for that.

- We do in fact have a video for that,

and I'll post a link right up here somewhere,

on the other side. - Ding.

- (chuckling) yeah.

The other thing that's a lot of fun to do with your dog

and a really great way to build motivation for your recall

is a restrained recall, and we'll show you a clip of that

in just a moment, but essentially what you do is

you get a helper, or you can even do it yourself

with an extra long line, but you get your dog

really excited, really focused on a toy or some food

or something that gets them really motivated,

and then you move away from them and call them to you,

and have them chase you, and make it really fun and exciting

and if you have something like a tug toy,

when they get to you, you can tug and have lots of fun

once they arrive, and really make it all about

getting to you, and the really gratifying part being

that experience tugging with you.

- Yeah, and you don't actually have to do that one outside.

I know when Beeline was a baby puppy,

before she could really retrieve reliably

because she was so young,

Ken and I would sit at opposite ends of our hallway

with some of her breakfast or her dinner,

and we would just call her, back and forth,

up and down the hallway for, I don't know,

ten times each or something, and it was a great way

to enhance her response to name, her recall,

and then she would relax and go to her crate

and sleep after that.

It was just a fun way to do something together

and again, take the edge off a little bit.

- Another thing that people are often asking about

is socialization, and you can see that we've got

Bruin out on a long line.

This is our pack of dogs, we know

how all of them will behave and we know that

if Bruin starts to push the limit

of what's okay and not okay, that our dogs

will let him know that he's sort of overstepping his bounds.

But we would never, ever, ever try this with a dog

that we don't know, or the owner says,

oh yeah my dog's fine with other dogs

because we really can't trust it,

and it could be so damaging to your dog

if something were to go wrong.

- Yeah, so socializing, usually when people hear that word,

they automatically think that means that their dog

has to go and learn to play with other dogs,

but there's so much more to socializing a dog

that's important like taking them to different places,

exposing them to different sounds,

different sights, different things.

We live a life where our dogs,

we live in not the country but,

- Yeah, rural areas.

- Kinda the country.

So, our dogs don't really hear big trucks

and a lot of things like that.

So they're used to sort of one thing.

So what we try to do is make a special effort

to take our dogs away from here,

just to keep exposing them to new things.

Whether we take them for a walk in the city or whatever.

And not that we do this all of the time,

but just to expose them, especially while they're young,

and again, we can post a video about a little trip

we took to downtown Burlington with Beeline

a month or so ago, which was just a great experience

for her and for us too.

But yeah, so that's part of socialization,

and then, in addition to that, as Ken was saying before,

if you are gonna let them socialize with other dogs,

it's very important that A) you have an idea

that those dogs are properly vaccinated

and that your dog is going to be safe that way,

and B) that they're going to be appropriately matched

with your dog and I don't mean by breed,

I mean by their mind and their personality

and their temperament because that often will help your dog

develop great social skills and enhance them.

And I think Bruin's getting a really great

dose of that today.

Our pack is pretty even keel.

We have some dogs that are really interested

in other dogs, some dogs that could really care less.

And Bruin's already learning which dogs will be

the most playful with him,

which dogs he has to be respectful.

And it's so cool to see them sort of

communicating with each other.

And of course, we have the long line on,

so that if we need to step in and help Bruin learn something

a little bit more, then we can do that really easily

without screaming and yelling and it's just

everything is calm and really controlled.

- Mhmm.

Yeah, and a lot of fun for both Bruin and all of us.

- The dogs are getting really tired,

which is awesome for Corey and for Ken and I.

- Yeah for sure.

(chill, upbeat music)

- So in an interesting twist of fate,

we didn't come down with food poisoning

after under cooking our chicken fingers today.

- That is an interesting,

- We're lucky. - Whatever you said.

- We dodged a bullet there.

(both laugh)

I think it was a pretty good day though.

That was a lot of fun taking all the dogs out,

and then working Bruin do some restrain recalls

as well as allow Bruin to socialize a little bit

with our dogs because our dogs are so steady.

- And I'm really glad we can help Corey and Jen

with that because they seemed pretty stressed out about

having this new puppy and wanting to do all the right things

with him and wanting to go through the process

of socialization and stuff but not really knowing

exactly how to do that and maintaining a young,

crazy puppy at the same time.

So hopefully we gave them some ideas to make him

a little bit easier to deal with,

but he's such a nice little dog.

- Oh, he really is.

- Mhmm.

- Yeah, so much potential there.

- Yeah. - For sure.

- Yeah, he's great.

- And just to reiterate, the convenience

of having a dog park nearby, it's alluring,

you wanna just take your dog there

and let it run around and burn some steam off.

- I think the idea of a dog park is a pretty good one,

but for the dogs and humans relations point of view,

it's not really a good idea.

- Especially at that age.

- Yeah. - With the younger one.

- Very impressionable age. - Yeah, for sure.

He really needs to develop some reliable skills

before you give him that much freedom.

And before he gets to choose another dog over you.

- Yeah, I think that we're really lucky that we have

so many dogs because our dogs naturally sort of

understand to have good social skills and things like that

because they're used to one another.

But we're also really careful that we don't allow

our dogs to completely bond to one another before

we go through that process with one another.

Bee's almost 10 months old now and I wouldn't say,

until, maybe would you say two months ago?

- Yeah a month ago.

- Maybe, not even a month ago was she allowed to even

go for big walks around the property or

play and wrestle with the other dogs and things like that.

And that might sound really mean, but she was still

learning about how to listen to me and how to be bonded

to me and she got tons of exercise and tons of attention

when I got the dog, so much attention.

But it was just different.

It was more developing the relationship

between her and I and was less worried about

how she would get along with the other dogs.

I already knew she was a well rounded dog

and that she liked other dogs.

I could tell from her behavior.

So that just wasn't important to me.

And I'm so glad because now she will choose me

over the pack of dogs and she'll also play happily

and be a big goof ball with them too, so.

- Yeah, it's really a nice balance.

It's the right balance.

- Mhmm. - That's really

what you want from your dog.

That they're social enough with other dogs,

they understand how to interact with them,

but ultimately they're coming to you

for everything that's good, for sure.

What are you smiling at?

- I don't know, I just have, like, I have the giggles.

- Oh, you do have the giggles.

- We've tried to record this several times,

(Cale giggles)

and it always ends up with Cale bursting out laughing.

- I don't know, I think I'm tired, but for whatever reason,

every time I look at Ken I just want to laugh.

(giggling) cause he's so funny.

- Is it this?

Is it this right here?

- Cause he's so funny looking.

(giggles)

- If this is your first time with us,

make sure you hit that subscribe button.

And if this is your first time on our vlog,

make sure you check out another episode.

More than anything else, we want to make sure

that you do something awesome with your dog today.

So on that note, I'm Ken.

- I'm Cale.

- And happy training.

Bye for now.

Intense Energies Flooding the planet this week – Jolene Seebacher explains many factors influencing - Duration: 6:00.

Intense Energies Flooding the planet this week Jolene Seebacher explains many factors

influencing this on Ground Crew Command Radio Tonight at 9PM EDT and Important Unity

Meditation Update!!!

by Ada Shaw

If youve gotten really bashed around these past 10 days in particular with attacks

coming in through people around you more loudly that ever heres why.

A LOT has happened energetically thanks to the breaking down of the Black Stone & receding

Blue Spheres, and the folks behind Ground Crew Command Radio have only just come up

for air after averaging 8 hours/day of planetary clearing over and above their regular

workload.

Everything was put on hold, including the Ground Crew Command Radio show.

As you can imagine, our guest last week JoJo Seebarcher got affected just the same & couldnt

make it either.

Whats happened is the amount of light & light beings entering through the veil has

stepped up dramatically, thanks to the Black Stone being broken down & the Blue Spheres

receding almost completely.

This has taken planetary & individual detox/clearing to a whole new, deeper level.

All good but the initial impact of this has slammed all of us, Ground Crew Command

Radio included.

Its been authorized to happen by the highest levels of Light overseeing this, because if

we reach a certain amount of clearing by the Solar Eclipse EVENT our mass energetic

work (meditation) during the solar eclipse could very well be the knock-out blow weve

all been waiting for!

 and darkness is LOSING IT!

To put things in accurate 3D analogy terms all remaining long grass has been cut

to a tenth of an inch long, and all remaining snakes are uncovered and scampering to hide

in whatever hole in the ground is left, and theres not many of those left either.

So theyre even jumping into peoples fields as well too, combining with peoples

internal unresolved stuff, hence the literally crazy & nasty behavior of many around you.

A lot of planetary work had to be done in a big hurry with the Teams, almost every day

since to clear all the darkness that got majorly exposed, for things to calm down somewhat.

So Ground Crew Command will return tonight, at 9pm EDT, with MK Ultra experiencer JoJo

Jolene Seebachers appearance segment being recorded from a previous interview & broadcast

to you during this weeks show.

She has critically important information to share that you need to hear!

All the latest news & analysis will be live of course.

Generally this is all good, and very exciting with whats happening, because things are

being lined up in preparation for the Solar Eclipse Mass Global Energy Event (mass meditation).

All realms of Light Beings both physical & non-physical and we too, are being jockeyed

& moved into position for the knock out blow.

 hence, darkness LOOSING it!

The other great news is, even if only the plasma plain is cleared or almost cleared

of all remaining plasma toplet bombs Yaldabaoth plasma anomaly and the Black Stone

being cleared that alone is a profound breakthrough that will well & truly trigger

the Event!

So build up your energies for this, and of course if youre struggling from all this

massive step up in upheaval, then please do something about it.

The resources are there for you, (mostly online).

Make it happen, because it will be a case of all hands on deck come the 21st of

Aug Solar Eclipse.

Please share the information online about the important upcoming Unity Meditation on

the Solar Eclipse on August 21st at 11:11:11 Pacific Daylight Time (6:11 PM GMT).

People need to know whats going on, and to be ready for the BIG ONE (Solar Eclipse)

so we dont drop the ball on this massive opportunity weve all been waiting for.

and its all on this weeks huge episode of Ground Crew Command Radio your weekly

dose of empowering clarity, inspiration & motivation to get you through the Archon invented work

week.

The host of Ground Crew Command Radio is The Unknown Lightwarrior: a member of a small

but powerful team of Lightwarriors & Lightworkers who either remotely or in person, clear & restore

7 Distinct Advantages Introverts Have Over Extroverts - Duration: 6:44.

7 Distinct Advantages Introverts Have Over Extroverts

At one point, it seems like a huge disadvantage to be an introvert.

Extroverts appear to have all the fun, and their gregarious, attention-seeking personalities

often allow them to reap promotions, popularity, and recognition.

Introverts, on the other hand, may get passed over and have their valuable work go unnoticed.

Despite this, there are many areas in which introverts have more advantages than extroverts.

Many of today's most successful people are introverts, such as J.K.

Rowling, Steven Spielberg, and Mark Zuckerberg.

But introverts not only have the ability to rival extroverts professionally, they also

possess a number of distinct advantages over them.

In this video, I am going to show you 7 distinct advantages introverts have over extroverts.

But before we start, make sure to like this video and subscribe our channel so you won't

miss any interesting updates in the future guys!

So, here are seven areas in which introverts shine more than their extroverted counterparts.

1.

Introverts are low maintenance.

While introverts may incur judgment by others for their lack of participation, they will

hardly ever be accused of being obnoxious, needy, and disruptive.

Because introverts value their space, they will naturally respect that of others.

Introverts are largely independent and non-clingy, and they are generally more inclined to be

polite and considerate of the impact of their behavior on others.

They tend to think before they speak, whereas extroverts may blurt the first things that

come to mind.

2.

Introverts tend to be creative and original.

While extroverts tend to adopt the values of the group and what is mainstream and popular,

introverts tend to have their own preferences that are less influenced by popular trends.

Introverts tend to gravitate towards things that are obscure, unusual, or downright strange.

Because they spend more of their time on their own, away from the places extroverts commonly

occupy, they are apt to develop perspectives, ideas, and insights that are unorthodox and

novel.

The introverted theoretical-physicist Albert Einstein once stated, "The monotony and

solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind."

3.

Introverts are shrewd.

Introverts are predisposed to exercising caution and deliberating thoughtfully before making

a decision.

This propensity for deliberation puts them at a greater advantage when it comes to things

such as critical thinking, problem solving, and assessing the character of another person.

Because they spend more time reflecting and observing, they are liable to accrue a deeper

understanding of various aspects of life, including human behavior.

This may contribute to greater judgment in business or penetrating insight as a psychologist.

Introverts like to take their time to reflect on and process a decision properly so that

they can make the best response that will not be regretted later on.

4.

Introverts are generally better listeners.

Introverts tend to really listen and consider the ideas and feelings of others.

In conversation, they take mental notes and focus intently on what people try to express,

as opposed to simply waiting for their chance to speak.

Introverts are naturally more receptive and interested in taking in information than divulging

it.

This is why people often confide in introverts, and they are good at keeping secrets.

Introverts understand how difficult it is for them to trust people, so they are generally

quite trustworthy themselves.

5.

Introverts are able to really focus.

Since introverts give less attention to socializing than extroverts, they devote more attention

to other things.

Introverts have the ability to cloister themselves away from the rest of the world and bunker

down to accomplish a task or objective.

Provided there are no disruptions, they can deeply immerse themselves in solitary activities

like research or writing for extended periods of time.

Often, the temptations that compete for the extrovert's attention hold no power over

them.

Their ability to concentrate allows introverts to become experts and highly proficient in

many fields of interest.

6.

Introverts cultivate deep connections with people.

Introverts prefer quality of relationships over quantity.

Extroverts are inclined to rack up a bounty of personal connections, but many of them

will be casual in nature.

Introverts are more discriminating in who they allow into their world, so the relationships

they do form and maintain will be cherished and nurtured.

Introverts have little interest in shallow interactions with people and prefer to establish

relationships that they find meaningful and deep.

They will invest more effort into cultivating a small number of stronger connections than

a large number of frivolous associations.

As a result, they are better able at surrounding themselves with people who are trustworthy

and loyal to them.

7.

Introverts are more independent.

Many extroverts insist on teamwork and being a team player.

Because introverts are more private, they are inclined to cultivate a lifestyle that

maximizes autonomy and self-sufficiency.

They prefer to work independently when possible, and they require less supervision than most

extroverts.

Managers can trust them to carry out a task without being derailed or distracted by rampant

socializing and talkativeness.

Introverts do not like to be dependent on others, and they feel empowered in being able

to deal with challenges relying solely on their own merit.

Well, that's 4 ways the 7 distinct advantages introverts have over extroverts.

Really cool information isn't it.

WEB PRESENCE AND ORIGINALITY / Kozi Gród, Pomlewo - Duration: 13:37.

Look out, look! I have a special system to make people enjoyed here.

Kozi Gród. Seems to be hospitable for families and children, but they

accommodated, some how,

wedding party guests,

and starting from 4 am till 6 am

it was freaking insane! We were made listen to people singing stupid songs.

And before it Helena didn't want to sleep, so

I wasn't able to edit my vlog, I'm going to do this now.

This is like this: wherever I am,

the edition must be done. - Hello, what are you doing? - We are putting socks on,

because Helena is fed up with the trampoline.

She wants to play in the playhouse, and she must wear shoes to be there.

- That's right!

So, Gosia watched the last episode of my vlog and she said, that I did a promotion

of Kozi Gród. So not to make this too nice,

in addition

I want to say about a little disadvantage of this place.

During the night from Saturday to Sunday there was

a wedding party here, and the guests were

our next-door

neighbours. And they fell asleep

at the time we wanted to wake up, in fact.

It was really loud.

We are going to the playground nearby

and, in fact, we could launch

a channel on YouTube with Helena. We would do playgrounds' reviews .

Yes! It would be great, wouldn't it?

That's right!

I was talking about it some time ago. I said

that there was no point

to be afraid to have

your own web site, or to be present in Internet nowadays,

because it's not possible to exist without it, in fact.

Now I want to tell you about it once again, but more in

the context

of

people's questions.

I get a lot of them:

"Why do you make those vlogs?"

"Why do you show your life in your vlogs?"

In my opinion

this is a way to make new contacts today. That's why.

So,

if I wasn't do it,

someone interested in

the cooperation with me, would

deliberate who I am, what my values are,

what I think about various things. And if

I can be seen in the Internet,

people can see the way I spend time, can see

what is important to me, or what is not important. And watching vlogs no one will ask those all questions anymore,

because it's obvious.

Just like that!

So, in my opinion, it's worth

making a vlog. It's good to

share your thoughts,

because someone, who thinks in similar way,

can find us more easily.

And the point is if you are an entrepreneur

or you are an employee. The point is to build businesses with people, who

think the same,

who share the same values.

I say about such things as:

equal rights,

nice places to work in,

how to make a friendly environment in a company,

how to communicate well. I hope

that I'm found by people,

for whom those things are important.

And some day someone will come and say: "Look, I have

some new project, I have the idea. Let's do it together!

I will say: "OK!",

because we share the same values,

our goals will be the same.

I do this vlog for my daughter.

She could watch those episodes in the future.

There is no point to be afraid

of being present in the Internet, beacuse the is no point to be afraid anything at all.

Because when we are not present in the Internet,

we lose

opportunities

to get known new people,

to make new contacts

with people who are interesting, who can

push us in some new direction

in our life - professional or private - it doesn't matter.

Somewhere where we will be more happy, where we will be closer to our goals,

and, simply, not being present in the Internet,

we lose this chance. Because in what other way could someone

who lives at halfway across the world

get known us? This is to decide on the issue of

costs and profits.

Making such a vlog takes

few hours.

I could spend those few hours in unproductive way -

watching TV series. Instead of this

I get accustomed to a camera, I practise public speeches,

and I give a chance to myself to be

seen by someone living far away. Someone who could say some day: "Look,

we share the same values. Let's do something together."

Or... someone

from a village nearby

in Poland, could see me and say: "Damn, you have

similar ideas to mine, great!".

Have you noticed that there is the standard set

of topics, which every vloger uses,

and a bloger who starts writing about

changing ourselves, working on ourselves, self-improvement

and so on?

I'v noticed.

Those are such topics like: "How to esteem your own time",

"How to be productive", "How to use

an email box effectively". I

don't want to say any names or something, but

every self-respecting vloger, who says

about such topics like productivity and self-improvement,

goes across this standard set.

I'm curious, if it's caused by it that we all

read the same books, have the same conclusions,

or we go across

the same set of posts, and...

if it's like this that in some point of life,

somewhere between 33 and 40 years old,

most people come to some conlusions about

time - what is worthy to spend it for,

about how to live, what to do,

and simply we all

are the same and all come

to the similar findings

in similar moment of life, and then we just share them with our

audience, our family, people who are around

us, and some of us by vlogs and blogs.

That's why, not making other episodes

which all vlogers

make, I have a question:

Do you have any topics you want me to talk about?

If so, please write them down, under the video.

I can tell something about coffee.

Let me know! If I only have any opinion

about it, I will share it for sure.

So we are going to the windmill in Ręboszewo.

Oh, there is the windmill here!

There! Up!

Let's go, let's go up!

- This is a playground!

- Is this playground the best? - Yes!

So, we are near the windmill in Ręboszewo.

And it looks like that we can not only get inside and walk around,

and there is a bar also, but it's possible to book

a room here and stay for a night.

It's a great option, and the windmill is situated,

just look, near the playground and near the lake.

And this is how the windmill in Ręboszewo looks inside.

Yeah!

And the view through the window is beautiful.

Ręboszewo is near Kartuzy

on Kashubia.

So it's about several tens kilometres from Gdańsk.

I haven't checked this, so you can correct me in comments if I say wrong.

And 18 or 20 kilometres

from Pomulewo, where we stay.

And there is the very nice windmill, renovated,

which stands on the top of the mountain.

There is the lake,

and here is the windmill.

This is the windmill where you can stay in, you can book a room here, you can also organise a party

for 30 people

and it's so windy around.

We went out to ride bicycles,

and we have been walking,

because Helena said, she prefered to go on foot,

and she didn't want to be in booster sit while me riding a bike.

So we have been walking in the Pomeranian forests.

The Pomeranian forests!

A famous vloger,

to be more inspired to make his vlogs,

decided...

to do something differently than other vlogers

and instead of exploring the secrets of productivity,

some strategies,

and some other stuff, decided to do some mud pies

and to find a sense in it,

to use it, for example,

in his business

or

to make

his life better.

So, first you have to fill a mold with sand,

sand can't be,

can't be too dry,

can't be too wet, because when you want to take a mold off, everything

will stay inside.

So, my dear vlogers,

let's get unique.

I think that making a castle from sand

can be a good strategic exercise.

And be better that the seventh vlog about it

why it's worthy...

I hope you have enjoyed!

I will answer all!

Taking Notes in Law School: The Process - Duration: 4:34.

Welcome to LearnLawBetter. In this episode, I will provide you with a proven note taking

technique. This approach to note taking was created over 50 years ago at Cornell University

and is used by millions around the world.

Hi, this is Beau Baez, and today I want to talk to you about how to take class notes

using the Cornell Method. While it is possible to use this method on a computer, the preferred

method for taking class notes is by hand. Make sure to listen to my previous episode

called "Handwrite or Type Notes" as to why handwriting will result in better results.

The first step is to have the right paper. While you can search for Cornell paper

and purchase it online already pre-formatted, you can easily format any paper, whether its lined or blank, with

a ruler and pen. Assuming you are formatting it yourself, go two inches from the left side

and draw a line from the top to bottom, dividing the paper into two columns. You will take

your notes in the much larger right column, and leave the left column alone during class.

At the bottom, draw a horizontal line two inches from the bottom, which you will also

leave blank during class. During class you will place all of your notes

in the right column. Do not try to outline your notes during class. Instead, focus on

the content of the discussion. Now, if there is material that is sequential in nature,

then, yes, number it. But don't try to place the material into a larger

organizational system during class. For example, suppose that you are creating an outline for

your Torts class, and you have Negligence under Roman numeral II. That's fine, but

don't worry about that during class time. So if your professor says there are 5 elements

to Negligence, then by all means write down 1 through 5, along with the elements.

Next, don't take verbatim notes. Instead, capture the most important ideas. Since these

are your notes, write telegraphically. You have likely seen movies where somebody in the movie received

a telegram. Because people paid by the individual letter in those days, telegrams sounded choppy,

yet they are completely understandable. You can employ the same technique and avoid words

like a, an, the, for. Also, use abbreviations. In law school, many students use a capital

K for contract, a capital P for plaintiff, a Greek Δ , or Delta, for defendant. They're your notes, so create

abbreviations that work for you. Now shortly after class, you will use the left

side column, which is called the cue column. C-U-E, because those are your cues for helping

you understand what is in your notes. You should write down key words in the cue column

that correlate to your notes in the right column. For example, suppose your class discussion

was about mutual assent for a contract. In the cue column you might write down "offer"

in one spot and then further down the page you might write down "acceptance." One

advantage of using key words is that you can then find those key words on any of the pages where

they appear in your notes, allowing you to tie concepts together, even though they might have been

discussed at different points during the class discussion, or even over several classes.

Finally, the blank section at the bottom of the page is a summary section. After you complete

the cue section, summarize your notes in the summary section. That is critically important, because

each time you engage with the material you learn it at a deeper level. Much more so than

will occur if you only reread your notes. Make sure to come back for my next episode,

where I cover the content you should be capturing in your notes. Please leave a comment below

Prices of exports, imports rose on-year for 9th straight month - Duration: 1:42.

Korea's exports moved along nicely last month, helped by a bump in prices and a weaker won.

Import prices were up too, but not by as much.

Kim Jiyeon breaks down the digits for us.

The prices of Korea's exports and imports rose in July... the ninth consecutive month

of on-year gain.

Preliminary data released by the Bank of Korea on Friday, shows prices of imports rose -- by

zero-point-four-percent last month, compared to June.

It's the first time since April that import prices have increased on-month.

They were largely driven by a price surge in coal and petrochemical products.

Prices of Korean exports also rose one percent on-month in July... on the back of price gains

in semiconductors, the country's main export item,... as global demand spiked.

And it wasn't a one-off phenomenon... as data released by Korea Customs Service showed...

chip exports soaring nearly 53-percent during the first ten days of August, compared to

the same period last year.

Petrochemical exports also jumped 76-point-6-percent on-year during the cited period... while overall

exports gained by more than 28-percent.

Both export and import prices were propped up from an uptick in international oil prices.

Dubai crude, Korea's benchmark, rose two-point-four percent from the previous month, trading at

an average of nearly 48 dollars a barrel in July.

The value of the Korean won... which fell zero-point-four-percent on-month against the

greenback in July,... also played a part in the price gain, as every dollar earned by

Korean exporters resulted in higher income... when exchanged for the local currency.

Kim Ji-yeon, Arirang News.
