Hello, hello!
This is Gelareh with another episode of the Anaare Sabz program.
Today I have a very interesting program for you, that I have been thinking of making for a long time
but I had not been able to because of being too busy,
and the topic is none other
than how to make masks for skin, hair, etc., with natural and 100% plant-based ingredients.
As you can see, today we have my good friend Anahita with us,
who too is active on the Internet and makes her own videos.
We can now ask her what she is interested in and what issues she focuses on mostly.
Hello dear friends, this is Anahita, welcome to Gelareh's channel.
As Gelareh said, I too am active on the Internet and in the social media,
and I have been making videos for about a year now.
On my channel you can find many things, but since I care particularly about beauty-related issues and women,
you find much more on things to do with women, makeup, beauty and so on.
If you like you can check out my channel and see for yourselves.
I am going to include your link here so people can check it out since I have noticed you often try natural masks
and I think it can be very interesting for our viewers
as well as other issues, such as how people can save money living in Germany.
Or for people who have just come here and there are things they can't find, where to go to find them,
we talk about things like that as well.
But as we were discussing what video to make for Gelareh's channel today,
I thought we could address one of the questions that many of you have asked.
I think it is the right time to discuss it.
It's something that we ourselves need too, because of working a lot and being so busy.
Very true. It might seem very simple and easy for you that for a ten minute…
five- or ten-minute
video we sit down and talk for a half hour and then post it online for you to see.
But it's not like that at all, at least for us.
Often times a video can take up to 24 hours…
In my case a month; I have nagged about it in the past and my viewers know.
This is one of the reasons that I have sleep deprivation;
last week I was so busy that I didn't get enough sleep,
and the first place that it shows is under the eyes where you get dark circles.
You know it's not because of diet and nutrition or the other things that you will now discuss,
but rather it is sleep deprivation and work-related stress that causes this.
Now we want to see how we can remedy this problem
the easiest possible way with 100% plant-based ingredients, as Anahita will explain.
But before that, it might be interesting to know what factors can cause the darkness or puffiness under the eyes.
Whether it is the dark eye circles, dark spots on the skin or anything else,
we should always first figure out the cause.
Many times people ask what we need to do to have a clear skin
or remove the skin spots or the puffiness under the eyes.
My suggestion is that you first definitely go see your doctor, because often the cause is internal.
I want to now focus on under the eyes.
The reason for the dark eye circles is that
the skin under the eyes is much thinner than the rest of the body
and the blood vessels are much closer to the surface.
So when there are some irregularities, the darkness we see is the color of the blood and is a kind of bruising.
Kidney issues and various diseases can also cause this darkness
and it is also genetic in many cases.
Exactly.
If in your family your father, mother, aunts, uncles or other relatives have the same problem,
that means it is genetic and unfortunately you won't be able to cure it,
other than with surgery, laser, injections, etc,
which enters the field of beauty and is not something you can do yourself at home.
Yes, exactly.
So first find the cause.
It can be getting older, lack of sleep, not sleeping well, the food you eat –
for example those who eat salty foods have puffiness under their eyes,
because when you eat very salty food
the salt and minerals accumulate under the eyes and make it puffy there.
Even the way you sleep…
Like those who sleep face down.
Exactly, if you sleep face down, gravity holds all those toxins under your eyes.
So the conclusion is that we should first find the cause.
Secondly, if the cause has to do with liver, kidneys, etc, remedy the issue with your doctor.
If the problem continues, my suggestion is that whatever you use for around the eyes,
always use the ring finger because that way you exert the least pressure in that area.
When you apply lotions under or above the eyes,
do it towards the sides of your head, where the lymph passages are,
thus guiding the toxins towards them and discarding them.
Yes Anahita, but raw veganism, as you and I discussed in the program which the viewers will soon find out about,
really helps with the health of the skin, hair, etc.
You need to drink plenty of water and eat foods that are full of life,
i.e fresh fruits and vegetables, as much as possible.
Their minerals and vitamins will detoxify the body from inside,
so that there will be no toxins to accumulate under the eyes, whether lying down or standing up or whatever.
So diet is very important.
But as we said, because of long term fatigues that we unfortunately can't avoid in urban lifestyles,
we need to find shortcuts to get rid of the dark eye circles.
Now I want to introduce you to some natural items, fruits and vegetables,
that you can use on your own and try to reduce the puffiness and dark eye circles due to external factors.
For example cucumber, potato, rose water.
It is so interesting, I have seen rose water used in health and beauty shops in Germany as a facial cleanser,
which incidentally is very good for the puffiness and dark eye circles.
A napkin or cotton ball dipped in…
I even saw it said on the jar "rose water".
How interesting; I haven't seen that.
Or for example many of the teas in teabags such as chamomile...
Excellent!
I have a lot of respect for chamomile, as its vapors are good for the skin for people who often have boils.
Exactly, it disinfects.
Exactly, chamomile has disinfecting properties.
When you drink its tea, you can let the teabag cool off or even put it in the fridge to become a little cooler.
It shouldn't be too cold so that it doesn't hurt.
It shouldn't be cold, but it should be cool, cooler than room temperature.
You can put it under your eyes and it completely removes the puffiness.
Green tea is very good too.
Exactly. There are many teas you can use for your face, esp under the eyes.
Avocados!
Avocados are excellent too…
I still haven't bought you avocados!
You can do many other things, such as having at least 7 or 8 hours of sleep at night,
or when washing your face, first do it with warm water and then with cold water.
This change of temperature helps with both having a fresh and clear skin
as well as blood circulation in your face and under the eyes, helping your skin to detoxify itself.
Or the face masks that you use, many of which I have introduced to you,
if the directions say do not apply around the eyes, definitely don't do it
because these masks often cause color pigment irregularities,
making under your eyes look even darker than before.
Additionally, smoking and drinking have very bad consequences for the skin in general,
and the most sensitive part of the skin is under the eyes.
So you can avoid that as much as possible
because most people who don't smoke have much better skins.
Completely true, that is something we all know, I think.
But it is still good to point out.
I hope so, and yet you see so many young women and men smoke, which is a shame.
Don't do it.
Exactly. Also try to keep it moist around your eyes.
Which you are now going to show us how to do,
using only healthy plant ingredients that you can find in any household.
Exactly. We have prepared a mask for you.
I have known this mask for two or three years and have used it a few times,
and the results were really good, but I have been a little lazy and will try from now on…
not to be lazy anymore
not to be lazy; being lazy is very bad.
Yes, plant-based masks require a little bit of patience to prepare but they are very easy to make.
Let's see how they are made and you can describe the process.
The mask that I have chosen for you has three simple ingredients:
potato, cucumber and turmeric.
I think we all have these.
They are everywhere.
They are everywhere.
Don't say we can't find them.
Exactly, Even if you buy a kilo of each, it is still cheaper than an eye cream.
Exactly, that is the best part.
And you can use the leftovers in salad, put the potatoes in the oven,
and heat the turmeric a little to enhance its benefits and then sprinkle it on your food.
Exactly, and it is not at all hard.
You can use a mixer if you want.
You can use a grater, the finest side.
usually used for garlic.
Grate everything and take out the excess juice
as otherwise it might drip down your face and on your clothes, staining them.
Finally add the turmeric and apply the mask under your eyes.
You can do whatever you like for 20 minutes.
Of course I think it is best if you lie down so that the mask doesn't fall off.
After 20 minutes wash off with warm water, followed by cold water.
You can make enough of this mask to use for four or five days.
Keep it in the fridge.
Exactly, it keeps in the fridge – not for too long of course, as all natural ingredients go bad.
You can also use the juice, with the face pads used for removing makeup, etc.
Divide them in half and they fit under the eyes exactly.
Soak them in the juice and put them in vacuum bags or regular bags
and keep in the fridge or freezer and in the mornings
– of course don't apply them too cold; let them warm up a little bit and then put under your eyes.
The cooling will reduce the puffiness under the eyes;
I have heard from experts that when you wake up in the morning
you can take a spoon that has been in the fridge or kept under cold running water
and put it under your eyes, and that helps a lot.
Excellent. Well done.
Just like that we can make a natural mask without chemicals that anyone can easily make at home and use.
I think if done a regular basis, the results will be much better.
Of course
Two points.
One question I have been asked many times is about cosmetics.
From the day I started the Goftojoo program, I have wanted to make an episode on this topic,
and it is underway.
I am working on it with Parastoo in the U.S.
The research has been done and we just have to record the program.
This is a topic that I know might be interesting for you,
since you deal a lot with health and beauty products,
and what chemicals in these products might be harmful to the body,
as well as the animal products used in these products,
which we vegans do not use
which has to do with our beliefs that animals should not suffer in order to make these products.
Another very important point is the testing done on animals.
Everyday there are more brands available that do not test on animals and only use natural ingredients,
and often even without permitted chemical additives, which in this upcoming program we will discuss.
I think it will be in two episodes, one about these new products
and the other one about animal testing
and what alternative methods are available that these new brands are using.
Two other points.
As you can see the sun is still beautifully shining and we are in the hot season.
I think of it as my responsibility to prepare something about sunscreen lotions
That too will probably come in two episodes:
how to use very simple ingredients at home and make sunscreen lotion without chemicals,
as well as where I stand on the sun and sunlight and exposure to it,
because we should not dismiss the matter of vitamin D so easily.
What do you think about animal testing and the products that use it,
and in the videos you make…
I don't know.
To be honest I haven't thought about these issues much until now,
but why not, it is very interesting that we can make things ourselves.
I think both economically as well as in terms of the results and the effects on the skin and the face,
we might be able to find very interesting things.
Yes, that is great,
because I know you have a kind heart and have a companion animal, a very cute cat that you love.
This is a great subject to focus on,
and it is happening as the world is moving in the direction of respecting animal rights.
I promise you that Anahita will introduce you to more plant-based masks on her channel.
Yes, because I think I have seen the demand for it on my pages
and many have asked about homemade masks and methods for skin issues.
Sure, why not.
And they are very effective.
And it is very interesting to try new things.
Maybe we can make another program together.
Of course.
Please share with us your comments about whether you liked these joint projects.
If you haven't seen it yet, I also have a joint video with Gelareh on my page.
Go see it.
We are unveiling and posting both videos at the same time on our two channels.
That one is about how to have a proportionate body through a plant-based diet.
As well as general tips about how to balance exercise,
diet and lifestyle with the body shape you want.
Yes, achieve your goal body shape.
We will include the links here under the video.
Thank you Anahita for coming today and recording these two videos together.
I'm sure our viewers have found useful the very good information you shared
about under the eyes, dark eye circles, its causes and treatments.
I hope to have the chance to see each other more often and make more such videos.
Of course, I would be delighted to.
Thank you for your hospitality and having me over.
If you don't know what this is, go see her video to see how much we were eating here.
Yes we became very greedy here.
We ate it all; this is the second program.
