assault rifle class if you wanted to turn up on bo2 this was the way this was

Don't assume you've got the job - Duration: 2:40.

Hi I'm Steven and this is Let's Get Working.

Have you ever had an interview you thought went so well

you couldn't figure out why you didn't get the job?

I remember a friend telling me after one of his interviews that by the end of the interview,

the interviewer was talking to him like he already had the job.

He was excited and figured the job was his.

As you may have guessed, he didn't get the job.

This rejection left him wondering why and he began to doubt himself.

Rejections take their toll on all of us, and if you let them

they can make you feel like you're never going to get a job.

It's natural to be disappointed but you need to work your way through it and deal with it.

Instead of focusing and obsess over it.

It may only make you feel worse.

This isn't the end though

There will be other opportunities and you should be ready to best foot forward when they appear.

You can put your best foot forward by learning from each interview you attend.

Focusing on what didn't work, or what you think you didn't do well is helpful in improving yourself

But don't just focus on the negatives, take note of the positives as well.

This way you can use what worked well for you during your next interview.

Because there will be a next interview, even if it feels like there won't be.

It can seem unfair when you don't get the job or it can seem like you did something wrong.

But just because you didn't get the job, doesn't mean you made a mistake during the interview.

Unless you did or said something majorly wrong during the interview

that you get an obvious reaction from the interviewer

you're probably not going to know why they didn't pick you.

They may have decided they didn't actually need to hire new staff anymore.

Something may have come up and they no longer have the funding for the position.

They may have decided to hire someone from within the company.

You were great during the interview, but there was a stronger candidate that they decided to go with.

There are many reasons why they didn't pick you

that don't have anything to do with you making a mistake, or it being your fault.

The important thing to do is not to harass the interviewer about why you didn't get the job.

You can ask for feedback on what you could have done better and they may provide it,

but they aren't obliged to.

Harassing them about their decision can eventually lead to burring that bridge for good.

The reason you shouldn't burn your bridges is

they may have had other positions they were thinking of interviewing you for, or offering you.

They may have opportunities in the future that they contact you about

or you hear about and want to apply for.

If you sour their opinion of you now, you make it harder for yourself in the future to prove yourself

you may even ruin your chances of doing anything with them.

What I want you to take away from this video is don't get your hopes up prematurely

and don't get hung up on a rejection from an employer.

Avoid setting yourself up for disappointment by remembering one simple thing.

No matter how positive the interviewer's comments may be

you don't have the job until they make you an offer.

Hi, I'm Christine Plaskett.

I started a new journey in life.

At the time I was 40.

I was working full-time in corporate America, probably

5o hours a week I was gone.

And, I still hadn't lost the weight from my second child

I was a bit stressed every day,

commuting to work 45 minutes one way

And I just knew

I could be happier. I wanted better health

I wanted more time freedom and

of course more money.

My husband and I discovered

a little program called P90X.

We did the program. It absolutely changed our lives.

Physically we just felt better. We were happier.

We discovered this nutritional shake

and started drinking Shakeology.

And just felt like I had a better mental clarity

I felt...

I was happier inside.

But I was still working full-time and still knew there had to be something more to life.

There had to be something better.

And a friend introduced us to the

Team Beachbody Coaching opportunity.

We are so glad we said yes.

The past 6 years our life has completely changed.

Our lifestyle went from being 2 very busy

working parents,

never having enough time for each other

or for our kids, or very limited time.

Now fast forward 6 years later and we are both

full-time coaches.

We're home every day together

We're here for our kids every day together. And,

here for our kids when they come home from school.

We have kept the weight off.

We pay it forward and help others lose weight

and what love most is sharing with other people,

especially women

on how to build a business of their own.

10 – Floating Bed • In the event that you have a gigantic

open room with nothing in it, you might have the space to plant the four anchors necessary

to keep this bed in place.

• The floating bed uses magnets to keep it hovering in place, so it's perfect if

you want to sleep on a giant magnet.

• Presumably, you'll want to keep most of your electronics far away from this thing,

and also forget about storing anything metallic under the bed.

giant metal box filled with enough weapons to arm your entire neighborhood probably generates

an extra level of comfort, in a way.

• This is likely the only time you'll see a single product whose selling points

are both: "replaces your bed's box spring with better foundation" and also "can

hold up to 64 rifles."

8 – Sonic Bed • What is it with beds that are actually

just art projects?

• The Sonic Bed plays music through vibrations in the mattress, and is supposed to let you

experience music by "feel."

• There's even a composition program where people can use the Sonic Bed to create original

compositions… for the Sonic Bed.

7 – Pool Bed • You know those times you sleep really

3 – Yin-Yang Bed • It's a cool take on the classic bunk

bed, but let's be honest here – this guy does not look comfortable.

He's trying to, but can you imagine sleeping like that?

• And they didn't even bother putting someone in the top bunk.

That looks even worse.

2 – Ice Bed • So the standing bed, the geometric bed,

and the sonic bed – all of which look actually comfortable – are just art projects.

you pay a bunch of money to rent an insulated sleeping bag and try not to freeze to death

all night.

P: We participated in the FemTube workshop at VidCon.

P: So as opposed to last year where we showed our process, this year we're going to

be looking back and rewinding.

S: We have opted to watch our very, very first video.

P: Watching our old videos is something that I like to do, but then as soon as I get into it…

I regret that decision immediately this is gonna be real interesting let's get started

your hair is so long I know whatever happened to that mermaid hanging thingy

she's in the garage okay this was in our old college dorm so

that's why the the wall behind us kind of looks like a jail cell it would be

more efficient in so many ways to just do it together I remember like we were

in the car one night trying to discuss names you were always quite decided on

princess oh yeah I was gonna do princess as my own channel and now you're like

well we could just keep with the medieval theme and I was like cool you'd

be like a peasant or something yes you're like no I might be doing more

shaped hearts like that's how many of those video ones do you do Paige how

often do you go outside and film things okay so in Disneyland I would be like

yeah we're gonna go on the Matterhorn now and then you were like no no just

just b-roll and then you know what I use mostly the b-roll when we go to the

beach we should just go and enjoy it again we're going to the beach since

then like twice nearly never filmed any only time where we've been in a video at

the beach together is when I film that part through my Hamilton for the

Hamilton yeah so much for those Beach blogs flowers Chuck

it's promises you don't intend to keep

it's really funny coming from a nice RQL browses you don't intend to keep so yeah

there was that time when we thought we were gonna like mimic John and yeah we

like we like kind of planned on that we were like oh that we like the way that

John and Hank do this so why don't we we have never done that I'm hoping to do

like a whole series of like analyzing that Disney Princess movies in where's

that series Sarah where's that linear series of all the Disney Princesses

around you've done like 4 right 4 5 yeah but like I skip around it sure I haven't

covered all of them but this does remind me that maybe like that's the thing I

should do I can pick up the pace a little like we both did our fingers made

babies don't we completely think that even though you know I would say that

we're adults now and I always think I am a great a dolt yeah I do identify myself

now as an adult I like to say that I'm an adult but then also every time I go

to Disney I'm like I'm not leaving and staying here forever right

nothing's changed all right so a little bit about us I

want to know what compelled me to leave in the UM vlogbrothers is one of the

reasons that we wanted to do this and now that we have gone to VidCon I feel

like we've been reminded of that especially oh my god we launched so many

BuzzFeed videos oh sweet is lucky if they get me to watch one video a month

they're lucky you know what we do watch a lot cracked

oh what a lot of crooked obsessive pop-culture disorder he's one of my

favorite things ever

should I just say that BuzzFeed videos are so great just go back a little bit

so many BuzzFeed videos are just you did how often you watched Jenna Marbles now

if the dogs are in the thumbnail I'll probably watch it but if the dogs are

not whatever I don't okay I'm okay with my own brand of funny J Carl oh god I

stopped watching him a long time ago he made some kind of offhanded comment

about how women dress and how that says something about them and Tyler Oakley of

all people was like how about you just mind your own damn business and I was

like oh okay bye yeah how do we end it

at least we didn't dwell on stuff wasn't so bad still use that song in our other

video yeah you use this look a lot okay it's really easy and fun and cute there

are other ukulele songs okay look how the camera shifted quite

noticeably and the exposed brick is not the charming kind of exposed brick I

would have liked it's exposed concrete oh my god our fingers make babies Oh

didn't have a lot of color correction options with with iMovie what advice

would we give to to that page in Sarah we should have come up with an ending

before we made that video even if we talked about it like right before we

started filming cuz the the little for me was just no no I guess the advice I

would give is that even when you do know what you're gonna say at the end

sometimes it just make it any easier sometimes you're still just like is this

alright cuz there's nothing better it could be saying Sarah you're always

gonna worry about that stuff so just roll with it

I like trying to have to talk myself out of having high expectations for the

channel when we first started specifically remember sitting down being

like this is gonna make us famous okay hello I think that our expectations now

we're probably just like to have fun doing this build a career out of it meet

people and hopefully educate people about the importance of media literacy

yeah that's not only said in the first video thank you guys for watching please

Hey folks, this video is in response to #femtuberewind, in which we are

challenged to look back on our old videos, our first videos, and respond to

them and think about how we would do things differently now and think about

what we'd have to say to our former selves. My first YouTube video, I put out

while I was on a break from school, I was nearly done with school, I knew that I

wanted to be starting to put things up on YouTube, I wanted to be practicing

making things and putting things on the internet, because so much of what I had

learned in school was how to do things on the Internet and how to be found

online so I knew I wanted to start making YouTube videos, but I was really

apprehensive about starting it. So my first YouTube video was very, very meta

and part of it I read the Ira Glass quote about the gap between what you

wish your content, or, like, your art and your creative endeavors, looked like and

what it actually looks like. So I'm going to go ahead and read that quote right

now. "Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, and I wish someone told me, all

"of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there

"is a gap. For the first couple of years you make stuff, it's just not that good.

"It's trying to be good, it has potential, but if not. It's going to take a while.

"It's normal to take a while. You've just got to fight your way through."

If I was to say something to my former self, this is what I would say. I would say

that you can still consider yourself a YouTuber if you only have three

subscribers. The number of people watching each video is not as important

as the progress you're making as you make each one of those videos. Making

things is just as important as other people consuming them. The only way to

get better at doing things is to do them. And you know that! That's why you started

this channel to begin with. It gets better and it gets easier, you kind of

figure things out. But also, there will always be something else that you could

have done. Something more that you should have done. But even so, your good taste

and your high standards won't stop you from making things that are good.

Videos, friendships, and communities. You don't need to be perfect, but you will

gain so much from just putting yourself out there. You've come so far already and

the truth is that you've kind of only just begun. I've only just begun diving

in to the creative community that I've found here online, through femtube,

through Facebook groups, through so many different things, and I don't plan on

stopping anytime soon. I'm so excited to continue making things

to get even better and finally bridge that gap. To get closer to figuring out

how to make things that I always dreamed of making, and I am getting closer but

we're still not there yet and that's okay.

So in conclusion, I hope that you are you're getting better every day,

and as always I hope you get a chance to do something that you love today. Thanks

Cosplay is a world where the only limits are imagination.

On film, for example, Marvel's sexy Black Cat is hard to cast in a family-oriented superhero

story, and there are hard practical limits on how many movies you can make about so many

different characters from the Marvel Comics archives.

Cosplay characters, on the other hand, can range right from G-rated to NSFW.

They can bring to life comic book faves that don't get their fair share of screen time

in the movies.

And they can pose alternate versions of familiar characters that you've never even thought

of.

A great cosplayer starts as an ever-greater fan of Marvel Comics and other sources of

inspiration.

From devoted amateurs to professional costumers and make-up artists who work in film and TV,

our list of Marvel cosplay excellence features a wide range of cosplayers.

They include convention circuit faves along with up-and-comers, all of whom have combined

their fandom with their art.

Do movie makers ever get any ideas from cosplayer talents?

We think they should, and when you see the kind of creativity these cosplayers display

when portraying their favorite Marvel characters, we think you'll agree.

GillyKins as Invisible Woman.

Cosplayer GillyKins fills out the stretchy blue uniform of Susan Storm Richards, the

Invisible Woman of the Fantastic Four, really nicely.

GillyKins describes herself as a "Costuming, Gaming, Comic Book Readings, Cooking and Caffeinated

nerd from Toronto" who's been a nerd since birth.

Her addiction began with Batman, she claims, but that hasn't prevented her from taking

on a variety of roles, including the Marvel superhero team member.

In interviews, she's said that comics are her main inspiration and really considers

the characters she takes on cosplaying.

GillyKins has won awards for her costume-making and is ranked as a Master Costumer.

Nadkya Sonika As Cyclops.

Nadkya Sonika has an impressive resume beyond her obvious cosplay expertise.

She's a fitness model, industrial designer, host of a TV show called GamerTag, and more

in her native Mexico.

She's also a social-media star, with more than 310k followers on Facebook alone.

She makes her own costumes from scratch and is a fixture on the convention circuit.

You can find her streaming on Twitch TV and working as a Community Manager for Spanish-speaking

fans of CD PROJEKT RED.

You can put Nadya into a male character's costume, but we don't think she looks like

a guy at all in her Cyclops cosplay.

Nadya calls herself an "addicted cosplay maniac," but we're not advising any treatment.

Alodia Gosiengfiao As Black Widow.

Alodia Gosiengfiao is a bona fide celebrity in her native Philippines, where she's a

cosplayer, actress, model, and singer.

She's appeared in TV and films and has a following of 6 million on Facebook and over

660k on Instagram.

She began cosplaying in 2003 at the age of 15 and hasn't looked back since, with a

repertoire that now includes more than 40 characters from anime, movies, and video games.

She's been voted into the 100 Sexiest Women list by FHM Philippines several years in a

row.

We'll just add that she looks fantastic in the slick, skin-tight Black Widow gear,

her attitude matching the badass latex vibe.

Lexi Farron Strife As Mystique.

There are a few logistical problems with cosplaying Mystique.

If you're just doing a photoshoot or staying indoors, body paint is the way to go for authenticity.

If you're out in the public eye, certain additions to the costume may be necessary.

Lexi Farron Strife is a French cosplayer and model who's been a cosplayer since attending

her first Japan Expo back in 2004.

Her name is a reference to her favorite Final Fantasy character — Cloud Strife — but

she dabbles in characters of all kinds from the worlds of anime and comics.

She credits her super-cool dad with helping her make her costumes, especially the armor.

We're guessing Dad didn't have much to do with her sexy and minimalist take on the

shape-shifting X-Men character, though.

Jessica Nigri As Black Cat.

Black Cat or Felicia Hardy has had a love/hate relationship with Spider-Man over the years

in the comic book world.

They've been allies, enemies, and even lovers.

Through it all, her sexy costumes were naturally a fan favorite, although not without controversy,

on occasion.

Jessica Nigri's version of the Spidey's former girlfriend ramps up the already sexy

quotient of the reformed burglar's costume to white hot.

Jessica Nigri is often called the Queen of Cosplay, and it's photo shoots like this

that have garnered all the attention – and rightfully so.

From the hair and makeup to the background, this pic is sizzling.

We're still waiting to see whether Felicia Hardy will appear in any future Spider-Man

or even Sony Spider-Verse movies, but in the meantime, we can enjoy the efforts of cosplayers

like Jessica.

Miracole As Psylocke.

As a character, Psylocke has had bit parts in X-Men: The Last Stand in 2006, and 2016's

X-Men: Apocalypse, but not the treatment this kick-ass character really warrants.

In the comic book world, she's been around since 1976.

Psylocke has telepathic powers in the body of a female Japanese ninja, combining that

martial-arts expertise and supernatural insight in a sexy costume with that shiny purple hair.

Self-described "model, professional Film/TV Costumer, makeup artist and uber nerd" Miracole

Burns lives and works out of Atlanta, Georgia.

She's done makeup for TV, including AMC's The Walking Dead and movies like X-Men First

Class and Fast Five, and her professionalism certainly shows in her cosplay, too.

We love her dynamic take on the powerful X-Men character.

Hekady Borafluch as Elektra.

Spanish cosplayer Hekady Borafluch describes herself as a geek and gamer, and says she

began cosplaying in 2009 as what she thought of as a side project.

Lucky for us, it's come to take up more and more of her time.

She calls herself a "small, sweet person," but we think her cosplay of assassin Elektra

is sexy with a believably dangerous edge.

After all, those blades of hers don't have to be large to cut, just very sharp.

Elektra is a favorite among Marvel comic book fans, but on screen, we'd have to say that

she hasn't yet had her due.

French actress Élodie Yung (who, we note, is also slight of build) gives her a credible

version on the Netflix series Daredevil, but her story is worthy of its own treatment,

we feel — especially if she looks anything like Hekady's cosplay.

15.

Crystal Graziano As Ms. Marvel.

Crystal Graziano got started in cosplay after seeing Final Fantasy VII cosplayers at SDCC

a few years ago.

It inspired her to try, and she's been rocking the cosplay world ever since with her hot

and highly detailed versions of her own fave characters from the worlds of anime, manga,

gaming, comics, and movies.

In the comics, Ms. Marvel is a role that's been taken by a number of characters, including

Carol Danvers and, most recently, Kamala Khan.

Crystal adds a new twist — Moonstone, the anti-heroine who's also sometimes a supervillain.

Moonstone takes on the Ms. Marvel persona as one of Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers

in the Dark Reign series (2008-09).

On social media, Crystal posted that she loved the idea of cosplaying a villain who was essentially

cosplaying a hero!
