A Song of Ice and Fire: Naath - Duration: 4:12.

Surrounded by the waters of the Summer Sea, north west of the continent of Sothoryos,

was the island of Naath, also known as the Isle of Butterflies, populated by the Naathi

who have been described as beautiful and gentle, with flat faces, golden eyes and dusky skin.

Rejecting violence in all forms, the people have committed to pacifism, refusing to do

harm even in self defense.

Unwilling even to harm animals for food, they were said to eat fruit not flesh and make

music, not war.

As their culture developed over thousands of years, they came to revere the butterflies

of the island as messengers of the Lord of Harmony, the god they believed created the

universe and everything within.

Working on behalf of their maker, the butterflies also act as protectors, preventing outsiders

from conquering the island.

Known to be clever and docile in nature, the Naathi were considered excellent slaves, highly

valued all over the world, including the pleasure houses of Lys, famed for their Naathi women,

wearing butterfly wings.

However every attempt to settle the island, establish a colony or even a trading post

has ended in disaster, as outsiders would soon develop an illness called butterfly fever,

if they stayed on the island for a prolonged period of time.

This terrible disease, started with a fever, before causing its victims to flail around

like their dancing, then sweating blood and feeling the flesh fall from their bones.

Due to this malady, the Naathi claim no strangers have lasted longer than a year on the island.

However, many were originally unaware of the danger, and so a number of attempts were made

to conquer the island, each ending in death and retreat.

It is believed the Ghiscari were the first foreign power to discover the island of Naath,

and so the Old empire made three separate attempts at conquest, each ending in failure.

When the Dragonlords of the Valyrian Freehold rose to prominence, they too attempted to

maintain a presence on the island, building a fort of fused dragonstone.

But again they were forced to abandon their mission.

Next came adventurers from Volantis, who managed to build a small trade town with timber palisades

and slave pens, before having to leave it all behind.

Roughly 700 years before the targaryen conquest of westeros, the Rhoynar people were invaded

and conquered by the ever expanding Valyrian Freehold, forcing the survivors to flee their

homeland and find a new place to settle, following their leader Princess Nymeria aboard 10,000

ships.

After departing from Essos, the Rhoynar initially travelled to the Basilisk Isles, and then

Sothoryos, but were unable to create a permanent settlement due to the many dangers from natives,

wildlife, disease and pirates.

This then led them to journey to the island of Naath, where the native population welcomed

them with open arms.

However the Rhoynar soon began to lose their people to the butterfly fever, and so were

forced to once again board their ships and continue seeking a new home, eventually settling

in the Dorne.

Over the years many pirates also made a number of failed attempts to settle the island, however

they soon realized that it was safer and more profitable to simply raid them in the middle

of the night, capturing as many Naathi slaves as possible and sailing back out to sea before

the sun rose.

Despite the occasional raid or attempt at conquest, before the Doom of Valyria, many

of the Naathi lived on the coastlines of their island, trading silk and spiced wine to foreign

traders.

However with the fall of the freehold, and the outbreak of war across essos during the

century of blood, slavers drastically escalated their attack, forcing the Naathi to retreat

from their shores, moving inland to seek refuge in the hills and forests.

RELAXING WHILE I CAN ⁄⁄ CatCreature - Duration: 26:26.

today is a total blizzard outside.

I'm gonna be inside ALL day,

I have no reason to go out anyways,

so,

it's kind of nice, I'm sleeping in, and watching the snow blast at the window.

late lunch, because I didn't want to eat until I was all done with my video.

and I am,

so

finally!

I'm caught up

almost done with this jar,

but,

I wanna get every last bit

good afternoon!

I'm finally on my way to do some homework today, because yesterday we were snowed in,

and I spent the whole day painting,

today is one of those nights where I really do nothing, and I'm goofing off, and you kind of just get carried away.

and start wearing fancy things...

just to try them on.

It's time for me to shower now.

and

I wanna do a mask first.

I will be leaving this on for 5 -10 minutes.

and I'm just gonna jump in the shower, because I take pretty long showers,

and by the time I'm gone with everything else, I can rinse this off my face.

I finally finished up the whipped argan oil face butter,

I really liked it, so, I don't have a face cream right now.

what I've been using is this overnight mask,

because this is the only thing that's comparable, and it's from origins, but I need to get a replacement soon.

my room is messy.

it needs to be cleaned.

and I got a mirror recently, that I haven't set up.

a lot of people don't feel this way, but I love frizzy hair.

it's funny when I do this cus it looks like someone else is right behind me with their foot

it's me!!

mood lighting!

*clap*

*watching friends*

do you know which episode this is ;-)

good morning, happy sunday!

we're walking back from church, service was in rememberance

of Martin Luther King Jr., so I really enjoyed the service today

and I'm gonna stop by the "gym"- student gym on the way home,

just because I haven't worked out in over a month,

I wore my athletic clothes underneath everything, so I'm pretty prepared for that.

I'm kicking back right now,

and I'm gonna watch some nature documentaries, I've been meaning to catch up with Planet Earth II,

I've seen some episodes already, but, I'm just gonna rewatch them,

you guys know, I LOVE

love nature documentaries

it's like my favorite thing to do, on a friday night

like a child I have to clean up after..

she wants chocolate,

I buy her chocolate.

-doesn't seal it.

doesn't finish her tea.

I have to get rid of it.

I always want to drink so much water right after I brush my teeth

does anyone else feel that?

our filter doesn't work anymore, cus it's been too long,

and we bought a filter on amazon,

and it shipped home, to California,

and... we don't want to order another one,

-actually, I mean- we should, cus it's not like I'm gonna go home anytime soon, it's gonna be 6 months.

so I'm gonna need to order another filter so that we can have water from the sink.

but for now, I'm gonna go get water downstairs from a vending machine

I'm so thankful for water and heating.

for the past two days, the heating was out,

I didn't really vlog, because I was just at home working,

and maybe it would've been interesting to talk about it, but it was really cold,

it was 60~ 59 degrees,

and it was a holiday, so no one was working,

to help me come fix it,

so I was wearing 5 layers, I turned the stove and the oven on,

I stood by it sometimes

and yesterday I was kind of having a rough night,

because, I was struggling to work illustrator and photoshop,

even though I do art, I am a very analogue artist,

I've had very little experience working digitally so, I was up until like...5 in the morning.

and... *laughs*

and my sister wasn't here, cus she was in new york, so- she's much more experienced-

so I was like crying, and I looked in the mirror and was like "omg I look so ugly"

eventually I figured it out- thank goodness,

I'm somebody who has a lot of perseverance, so even though I'm struggling,

I just say- you know,

I've come too far, I'm still gonna do it

so I ended up doing the document correctly in the end, I was just trying to figure out how to turn this hand drawn

motif that I made,

first like trace it- and then take that and make it into an outline,

that's vectorized, and then make it into a certain thickness, so that I can make it into a- what do you call it,

into like an, an ornament, for our print class

so this is what it looks like today, cus we

went into the lab, and got everything digitally cut out

it looks like this, and I'm gonna layer it on top,

so that it's a stampable block,

and then we're gonna create some prints from it for next week.

my screen saver is still a bunch of nature photos

I'm on my walk to the bus stop currently, cus I am leaving

for new york!

very soon. Tyler is back in town, and I'm gonna meet him there.

morning!

so last night wasn't so eventful, because I finally saw Tyler when it was really late,

at walgreens- we met there because it was the only thing that was open

and we traveled to the bnb, and then now in the morning,

I crawled out of bed, and now I'm making my way to a cafe to meet

a friend- Amanda Lee, you may know her on youtube for doing all her bullet journaling, but

we go way back, and we've been growing together on youtube for years,

and I first saw her when she had only 3000 subscribers!

so she happened to be in new york, she asked me if I was, and I actually was! so, we're gonna get lunch together,

and hang out, so exciting- I'm actually coming upon it right now

door...

there's another door.

we've been watching each other's videos for like 5, 4 years?

-it's actually really crazy because we have the same timeline -yeah

we both started in january 5 years ago, -2013

we both took the same steps for a lot of things -yeah!

and its just crazy -and we changed our channel content as well..

-yeah it's so crazy! -and now we're in New York

-I'm originally from Canada, so

mmhmm

and then we got to meet up, and it wasn't for so long, so I'm really sad we didn't get to talk longer -I knoww

but I hope that- I have a feeling that I'll definitely see you again

-we're gonna see eachother- like, I'm gonna come down to NY just for her

-aww

-I have to catch a train now, but I hope that you have a good rest of your day here, and have fun watching hamilton!!!

-I know, I'm so excited

-yeah

-thank you!! -goodbye!

-we made it

-so snowy

cute

-oh my gosh!

-music playing when we arrive?

-really?

-they are professional. they know what they're doing.

aw so cozy!

they have s'more stuff!

-oh my goshhh

so many snacks!

*gasp* HOT CHOCOLATE, ah I was just thinking about that!

wow, it's so bright!

-did you like text them and say "we're cominggg"

-no, they just said "please let us know 30 minutes beforehand"

-and now I know why

wow we really don't even need any like

-snacks.

- I feel like

-eww my gosh -there's a hole

terrible sock decorum.

oh it's like stone up here.

so adorable.

-I notice I have to duck my head in here a lot

-like this

robes!

wow!

lots of amenities

-wow

-my ears are gonna be clean for weeks

babe, didn't you need this?

-oh yeah!

I regret thAT

-is that what I think it is?

it is, right?

-what do you think it is?

a tampon, right?

-yeah

*laughs*

this is such a lovely room!

if my sister were here, she would love being in here

-you look giant.

-nooOoooO!!!

*laughs*

-me in life

*more laughter*

*sigh*

-what's coming out?

-the marshmallow and the chocolate

-everything.

-oh, I'll eat that

we got groceries from the asian market!

-got so many of my regular all time favorites.

it always makes me really happy to go to these markets because it's like a taste of home

there's just a lot of asian food markets in the bay area

and there's like one here that's the size of a 7-11, so

it's still better than nothing

I got milkis for my sister

- I lovee these. These rice cracker snacks are soo good

tofu, for mapo tofu that we're gonna make

I love these intant noodles, I had it at our yosemite trip for the first time last year,

did you fart, babe?

-no, the fridge just opened, and it smells like ASS in there -oh yeah

-im sorry -HER FRUIT, you know what

-I'm throwing out her fruit

-yeah

-I frkn hate when she like

we both got ramen, of course, because anytime you go to an asian market, *annabelle coughing from stank*

-you have to get the good kind of ramen -is it THIS?

-it smells like it's that, cus the smell's still here.

-I can't even open it, it's stuck

-maybe that's a sign

-no...

-it's not?

-no it smells fresh- EWw there's like mold

-yeah... okay maybe that IS it

*the creature comes out*

and of course for the mapo tofu, we have red miso paste

as well as the pickled radish,

they're just sliced pieces of daikon and then you wrap meat inside,

or vegetables, or onions,

and then..

all the chinese people know what this is

and then I got natto, I love natto

I eat it without rice, just because I love the concentrated flavor

but it's like more normal to eat it on rice -I don't smell it anymore

this asian sausage- or- chinese sausage,

and it tastes like taiwanese sausage,

but this one isn't the exact kind, it's just really sweet.

and I enjoy it

I've always had it growing up

korean meat,

that's marinated- it's called sliced pork shoulder butt.

frkn love chives. is this chives, or leek? because I'm ok with either

-those poor chives!

-conveyer belt, all set up, here you go, let's keep this

we got some hontsuyu,

*screams*

cool transition

-exactly, that's what I was thinking

I applaud you.

-how do you fold this thing?

-matchy, matchy, matchy

-smell it

-why would you smell it after I tell you to smell it?!

you know- that's traditionally a bad thing to do

-I dont..

what is that thing called?

is it air something...?

-you mean a dryer sheet?

no..when things fall,

-....air resistance?

yeAH.

-that's friction from air

there's no air resistance in a vacuum because

...

-are you asking me?

-or are you trying to figure out why?

*nervous laughter*

-because...

-because

-because.

-because why??

-because

-the air is not dense enough...

-because there's no AIR in a VACUUM

because there's no oxygen!

-there's no AIR in a VACUUM

-the definition of a vacuum is gasLESS

-well there is hydrogen and helium in space, but it's very sparse, and where it is dense, it becomes a nebula or a star

-if you could keep your shit together, that might've been funny.

-I could hear your lips, like,

*smack smack smack*

I could tell you aren't saying anything

-vacuum, huh?

*fuck u*

when I told you that you didn't look fat that day,

I lied.

-olive juice.

*you don't have to get our humor -_- *

I could hear your tongue,

-what about now?

that's olive juice.

-no, it's elephant juice.

for this vlog, and the next couple of weeks,

it won't be this super,

intense,

kind of art vlog,

just because

currently, in this very short winter school quarter,

we are having only an elective, so most people take 1-2 classes max, and I'm only taking one.

and I'm trying out graphic design.

for the first time.

so a lot of the vlog footage is probably just me relaxing, so,

the really busy art kind of,

-the grind... will resume...mid february, so,

that is when my sanity will fly out the window~

but y'all love that.

but nevertheless, my vlogs just kind of reflect my life, and right now I am pretty happy,

you know, I can

do so much extra art in my free time,

this is the little illustration that I drew with ball point pen in my sketch book, and I cut it out

just so it would be easier to take a photo of

so I took a photo of this,

and,

put it into photoshop and illustrator, and it took me probably 5-6 hours to figure out how to freaking trace this image

and then, get the traced image into a linear format, because we had to submit this

to read in the

lazer cutter machine,

that would later cut our linear drawing

into wood

so that we can turn the wood into basically a stamp.

christmas tree it still up, and I don't think I'm gonna take it down until Februrary

I just wanna quickly show the print series that I came up with last weekend.

and, as I mentioned, it's not my best body of work, but it was pretty fun experimenting

so the ornament I came up with was this warped checkers,

so I made some variations of how they can piece together in difference compositions

I also played with transparencies, because the idea of layering is quite interesting,

so with these, I used the letterpress, and I pieced them together, into a sort of frame

it makes it very versatile, because I'm not too sure exactly what I want, so here you can

overlap them,

if need be,

like in this case,

the assignment was to match our type with our ornament- and I think that they go together pretty interestingly

this is just a test sheet- super ugly, I hate it

this is to be layered, and I put yellow ink ontop of the black, but it's too transparent to really be effective here

I chose this one,

because my original idea is that,

you know the checker print is very warped,

it's almost like,

the concept of

illusions.

in life, and I feel like that,

assumptions kind of... almost rule the way that we think sometimes, and affects how we perceive others and our relationship with them

and

that kind of

is translated through this warped ornament.

because, it's like,

what do you perceive? vs. what it really is.

so I just thought that choosing one word is pretty simple, and it

provokes thought in a way,

it was a really fun experience- oh I didn't show you this one.

so, here I printed

these ornaments,

at each corner,

and it unfolds, to reveal this.

so that's my quick update for how school's going so far,

just to clarify, for anyone who hasn't been around for this whole time,

I'm a textiles major, this is a graphic design course that I am taking as an elective for the next few weeks

and I'm quite hungry, so I'm gonna go outside and join Ty because we're making dinner today.

hi

what's up?

oh

I was watching some of my old vlogs from last year,

the other day- and I realized that I had all these talking outros and I feel like I haven't done one in a while

so I'm gonna go ahead and end the vlog here

and as soon as I do, that commences my editing.

he's here.

-hi

I wanted to quickly mention that we are nominated for the shorty awards!

-wooo

for the vlogging category

and I feel very lucky to have been considered, or even thought of,

and, also, so blessed that I get so many messages from people who say that they vote, or that they vote everyday

it's just really touching, and I wish that

there could be more I could do...

but

-well you've done so much, that's the reason why everybody's voting for you.

-and showing you

no... -you do so much, all the time

-and i think everybody really appreciates that

no because, this only happens because of our community

-that's true

and because, we ARE here together

so, I'm really grateful for the time that you spend here,

and the time to send me those loving, kind, supportive, messages- or comments, that I read

and I just want to say thank you.

even though I feel like I can't express it as...um

as well as I want to.

but

yeah, the link will be down below, as it is in my instagram bio,

we can vote everyday until Feb 22, so that is a little less than a month from now.

and

yeah, we'll see what happens, but honestly, I feel like I've already WON

I feel like I've already won because I'm so happy and fulfilled with our community, and what I get to do-

-to share my memories, and just everyday moments with you

so, honestly, that is enough for me

and I'm just really happy. so,yeah!

-if you're as proud of this girl as I am,

-then I would go down and click every single day.

I will see you in the next video

love you!

night!

My BEST ENGLISH TIPS For Indians, Pakistanis, and other South Asians - Duration: 10:07.

[Hindi]. In today's lesson we are going to be looking at difficulties that speakers of...

From South Asia learning English may have. Now, English is a language that has been long

established in South Asia due to our history and our connection with India, and in South

Asia a variety of English has developed that is slightly different to traditional British

English. Now, I'm not saying that South Asian English is worse than British English, I'm

just pointing out that there are some differences, grammatically and in terms of pronunciation,

so this video is primarily aimed at helping you to be understood by native English speaker.

A native of the United Kingdom.

So, let's start off with looking at vowels. There are certain times when a native Indian

or Pakistani or Sri Lankan speaker will insert a vowel when there doesn't need to be one.

For example, in front of "s" words, there may be an "i" placed involuntary, without

their meaning to. "This istreet". Okay? We don't need a sound before the street, it's

just: "The street". [Hindi]. "Station", we don't need a sound before that. It's not:

"Istation", "This istation", no. Just: "This station" will do fine.

We don't need to insert extra vowels where they do not need to be there within words.

For example: "This is a faree lift", rather than: "This is a free lift", "a free lift"

meaning not having to pay. "This is a fantastic filam". Whoopsy, placed that in the wrong

place. "This is a fantastic film", "film", okay? I put "Bollywood" up here as well. I'm

a huge fan of Bollywood films. What was my favourite one recently? Involved a girl from

the sort of Pakistani mountains and she was a dumb girl, she couldn't hear, and she got

lost and separated, and then she was reunited with her family. Fantastic film. [Hindi],

something like this. Anyway, I wanted to put Bollywood up here because increasingly in

the Bollywood film industry, English words are being used, and Henglish... Okay? A variety

of Hindi and English is used. Just thought that was worth mentioning.

Now, the traditional English months of the year have been adopted by South Asian English,

and they are pronounced in a different way. So I just want to drill... Drill you on how

we would pronounce them here in the UK. So, maybe you could repeat after me. "January",

"January", "Jan-ur", so we don't go for the extra vowel sound, there. Just: "January".

"February", "February". We ignore those letters, there. "February". "March", "March". "April",

"May", "June", "July", "August", "August", "September", "September", "October", "November", "December".

And then a couple of words that have slightly different meanings. These are just two examples

from... I'm sure there are many. Now, in India, "a hotel" can be not just in India, in the

wider subcontinent can be used to mean a hotel, a caf, and a restaurant, whereas here in

the UK a hotel is simply a place where you pay to have a room to sleep in. Also, I have

been invited before in India to visit someone's "backside", what they meant was their back

garden. If you said that here in the United Kingdom, they would be confused. Yes.

Intonation, this is quite a major area to work on. So, this sentence here, the meaning

changes according to where I put the emphasis. Just showing off my Hindi, so this means "chappalay",

"chappalay". So, let's experiment with the stress in different places. First off with

"I": "I did not say you stole my red slippers." So if I put the stress there it's saying:

It wasn't me that said you stole the red slippers. Stress here: "I did not say you stole my red

slippers." If you put the emphasis on "did", then it shows a degree of anger that you think

the person said that. "I did not say you stole my red slippers." Again, there's a heavy disagreement

with the other person. Have it on "say": "I did not say you stole my red slippers." So,

we're starting to think: Okay, we didn't say that you stole my red slippers, but maybe

you suggested that. "I did not say you stole my red slippers." Maybe someone else did.

"I did not say you stole my red slippers." Maybe you just walked off with them. "I did

not say you stole my red slippers." Maybe they weren't mine at all. "I did not say you

stole my red slippers", because my red slippers are very special. Okay? "I did not say you

stole my red slippers. I did not say you stole my red slippers." Okay? I'm putting the emphasis

on "slippers", and I'm thinking: "Okay, what is it with these slippers?" Okay? So, just

something to think about, where we are putting the stress. Now, obviously in Hindi, Urdu,

nouns have a masculine and feminine form, and the adjectives change according to the

noun they are placed with. [Hindi]. We don't have genders of nouns in the UK. So, just

bear that in mind. In Hindi the verb goes at the end of the sentence, it doesn't in

British English. It normally goes: Subject, verb, object. There's quite a lot of discrepancies,

quite a lot of differences with prepositions. I've covered this in quite a lot of detail

in my video for Polish learners, so maybe that's a video that you could be checking

out as well.

The comparative and superlative, so this is something that a native of the... Of South

Asia may say. "This girl is calmer from the boy." What I need to say is: "...than the

boy. This girl is calmer than the boy." We're comparing girl to the boy, the girl is calmer.

"He is the most bravest boy in the team. He is the most bravest." If I have "est" here,

I don't need "most". "He is the bravest boy on the team."

"More", "very", and "too". Again, I also have a separate lesson on "very" and "too", so

that's, again, another video that you could be revising. I have noticed that this is...

People get a little bit confused here. "Try to score more than 9 out of 10 in the quiz

after this video. Try to score more", so you're trying to get more than. "You have tried very

hard." I'm just modelling correct usages of these words, here. "You have tried very hard.",

"This curry is too spicy." Okay? "too" and then the adjective. "You have tried very hard."

Okay? So the adverb coming after the verb. "Try to score more than".

I hope this has been of some use. This is not a total exhaustive list; it's just a couple

of things that I have noticed, and there are, as I said at the beginning of the lesson,

some beautiful speakers, beautiful... I don't mean beautiful. I mean incredibly effective

speakers of English in the Indian subcontinent, and in terms of literature there've been some

fantastic books written in English by people from South Asia, one which I'm enjoying at

the moment called The Glass Palace. Anyway, until next time, [Hindi].

Israeli Arabs: Why do you wear Hijab? - Duration: 15:39.

Aya Rahat

Mohammad Akko

My question is if wearing the hijab

has anyone caused them problems?

No, no one

Can you ask the women?

(note, he would not allow me to film his wife and daughters)

No, no one

Not in any place?

Nowhere

People look at them

I also look when I see someone wearing hijab

How do you call that covering? (his wife is in Niqab)

Niqab (full face covering)

What about Niqab? No one? (said anything)

Since when are you wearing the...? (headcovering)

10 years

Why?

Because I like it

Samah Tamra

First, is that I like it

Second, I want that

God will bless me

Ok

Have you received pressure

also to be successful

to take or to touch

Jannah (sounds like Janam (hell))

Paradise

Have you received pressure from people

not to wear it?

No

Do you get Jews

that say something to you about it?

No, nothing like that ever happened to me

Even giving you looks?

Sometimes they do

They look at me

because I am an Arab

or a Muslim

but...

but no one ever

said anything not nice or something like that

No

Thanks God

Maryam Kfar Qana

You don't want to be filmed

You wear hijab, right? - Yes

(to the friend) You are not but you know many

there are two women here

Does anyone create problems for you because of the hijab?

Sometimes yes - who and what?

Sometimes we don't get jobs

20 something women Ramle

We don't get some jobs if we wear hijab

Ah, you mean employment - Yes

Which places would not hire you?

Like, for example, at the Azrieli mall

they wouldn't say it

So you tried there (to get a job)

they said no and you think it is because you are wearing hijab

Yes

Are there other places?

There are lots

Not just at work places

Has anyone on the street ever said anything to you?

No, not to me

Double click to edit

No, I mean specifically about wearing the hijab

No, no one specifically said anything to me

So no one ever said to you but you have heard stories

I have heard stories of people

Why do you wear the hijab?

Iram Taybe

The hijab has religious significance for us Muslims

for a girl that has matured

she must wear it

as defense and protection of her body

she is only allowed to show the palms of her hands

and her face

There are other Muslim women that don't wear the hijab

so it remains a personal choice

but it is a mandatory commandment

to wear the hijab

and that is mentioned in the holy writing of our Quran

that it is a mandatory commandment to wear it

Has anyone ever made problems because you wear it?

Anyone?

Make problems?

Me personally, no

no one ever made problems

but sometimes when I go into the train station, they treat me

not well

How?

Like, they feel I am not worth anything

and that I am dangerous to others

that are on the bus

or on the train

I feel bit that I am dangerous

but rarely

but there are occurances like that

and my friends who wear the hijab

and that also happens to them

those things happen to them

Wearing the hijab, they don't get accepted to job as they should

That's what they feel?

they feel uncomfortable because of that

From what age do you wear the hijab?

Me, from a very young age

let's say 12-13

Does anyone make problems because of the hijab?

Where?

Let's say when with the Jews

or people who don't agree with it

In general, there are some judgemental attitudes in some ways

some judgemental attitudes

Judgemental? - Yes

Like (here) in the university people look at you

that someone wearing hijab comes from a terrorist organization

and so she is seen as dangerous

but it depends on the personality of the woman wearing it

what she believes

It is unconnected (to terrorism) it is a way of dress, belief

So in your view, the Jews I assume

look at you like you are a terrorist?

Not everyone there are some who think that, others don't

there are also Arabs who think one way or the other

You connected it to terrorism

and not to being very religious

Yes because that was during a period of a lot of terror attacks (by Muslims)

So then you saw that more - Yes

Yes, I really suffered then

and I felt that there was so much out of place judgement

How were they judgemental? Did anyone say anything to you?

Yes or they moved physically away from me

they see someone wearing hijab

and would leave the elevator, for example

It doesn't feel good at all

I also meet religious people Christians, Muslims, Jews

and I don't decide who they are because of their outward appearance

Aisha Rahat

From what age are you wearing hijab?

Lama Majd al Krum

8 years old

That is young

maybe 9, something like that

Was it from your own belief? -Yes, of course

I come from a religious family

but

not

too religious

medium level religious

but

since my childhood, I woke each morning

saw my father pray 5 times a day

we fast during the month of Ramadan

our father taught us

the basic things

in our belief

and religion

and that

grew in me, grew in a way...

So it is from true belief - Very much

Very much

If you on the side want to say something

If in the Christian or Jewish societies

anyone makes problems because you wear the hijab?

Of course

Like what?

We can't say that there is none

It could be also

in the Arab community as well

You mean Muslims or other Arabs?

Yes, it can be

Because first, not everyone wears the hijab

even though some who don't are religious (Muslims) themselves

they pray but don't wear the hijab

So there are Arabs who said something to you? - Yes

My relatives

That I am too young (to wear it)

that it is "bad"

naively

that within 2 weeks, you will

find you don't like it anymore

That you will take it off - Yes

But no, I stood my ground

and I liked it

In the Jewish sector, yes

In the Christian sector, I don't think there are many

who will give that feeling to me

because I don't think...

I used to work with Christians (Arabs)

a lot

I don't remember any times it happened

but with Jews, sadly, it happened

Give an example

A small example

we are here at the university (Haifa)

and when we come in through the main entrance

security people

Check your bags? Check my bags

but sometimes, there are people who check our bags

in a strange way

What do you mean?

What does "strange" mean?

It's like

they put more effort into it

sometimes it is offensive Yes

On the side, she doesn't want to be filmed but agrees

There were periods...

The guards check everyone

I am explaining to the viewer outside Israel that doesn't know

They check me, they check you

But they look at you like... - you are different

- not like everyone else

Also, during periods when

there was like, war between Arabs and Jews

then it is a problem

There were people here who stabbed Arabs and the opposite

Yes, in Haifa, there were two times

twice it happened

but

we felt

the hate, I don't know what to call it

we felt they (Jews) would distance themselves from you

they were afraid they wouldn't sit next to us

I put my bag down and went to the bathroom

just an example and everyone walked away

they were afraid (of the bag having a bomb)

Even though we do nothing

we just study here

Those are the examples I can remember now

Hexnub Sphero Nubby Cover Review - Duration: 3:03.

Hi.

I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to review the Hexnub cover for Sphero robots.

The Hexnub cover that I'll be reviewing can be used with the Sphero 1 and 2, and the Sphero

SPRK and SPRK+.

It will not work with the Sphero Mini.

The plastic cover on Sphero's robotic balls is tough, durable, and can take quite a beating

in its own right.

However, if the area where you'll be driving your Sphero robot indoors is covered with

vinyl, laminate, or hardwood floors, the robot can start to slide around and lose control

when you're flying around at higher speeds.

Separately, if you plan on taking your Sphero robot ball outside and rolling it around on

a concrete, asphalt, or some other non-plastic friendly surfac, your robot's internal components

will likely be perfectly fine, but the plastic shell will likely be scuffed and take some

degree of damage.

Additionally, if you plan on taking your Sphero robot outside, your almost always one wrong

turn away from driving through a natural hazard that could do long-term damage to your robot.

Because while Sphero is waterproof up to 15 feet, you may not feel comfortable tempting

fate by driving your expensive robot through a puddle.

The Hexnub cover for your Sphero or Sphero SPRK robot gives you both additional traction

on solid surfaces, and a strong layer of protection against the elements.

The outer, rubber shell is roughly one-eighth of an inch thick, and the shell is also covered

in raised bumps that help with traction.

The cover slides easily onto your Sphero robot, hugs the robot comfortably, and has never

shown any sign of looseness or sliding off of our Sphero.

And because the shell slides on and off easily, it's easy to clean.

The only issue I have with the Hexnub cover is that there is a roughly quarter inch gap

of exposure that spans halfway around the ball after you get the cover on.

The result of this lip is that the ball doesn't travel perfectly fluidly on smooth surfaces,

and if you look closely you can see it bouncing around a little bit more than it does without

the cover.

This is to be expectd when you have a cover with bumps on it that's more intended for

outside use than indoor use, and it has never hindered our experience playing with it, but

it is something to keep in mind.

I would imagine that the experience with other types of Sphero covers, but I haven't used

any of those.

Finally, Hexnub covers for Sphero balls come in a variety of colors, and cost roughly $10

-- depending on the color you get.

This is roughly half the price of other comparable products, and while I've never used those

products, I have no regrets about getting the Hexnub cover, and I would highly recommend

it for anyone looking for a protective cover for their Sphero 1 or 2, or Sphero SPRK or

SPRK+ robot ball.

Thanks for watching.

Through Negation, Comes Positivity | J. Krishnamurti - Duration: 9:03.

Hello everyone, my name is Andrew and welcome to the video.

So today I'd like to talk about a quote by J. Krishnamurti because I was reading,

"The Awakening of Intelligence" and he mentioned that through negation comes positivity,

basically in a nutshell.

And this kind of sparked some curiosity in me because most of our lives we're told to

be positive.

We have embraced positivity as like a magnificent attribute to have.

So we're all walking around talking about stay positive, be positive and just embracing

positive energy, positive vibes and it sounds good, it sounds comforting, but I feel like

It's this mask that covers up the real, the actual.

And the real, the actual, is unnamable.

We can't name it as negative or positive, it just is.

So what relationship does positivity have with negativity?

Does it have any relationship at all?

Because just from what I'm observing, when it comes to the nature of thought, thought

is like a pendulum swinging side to side.

Whichever side it goes, it is pursuing in that direction, but it is also leaving another

direction.

So where there is thought, there is always this pursuit and resistance right?

Pursuit this way, resisting that way.

Pursuit the opposite way, resisting that way.

So does positivity have any kind of opposite at all?

We may have invented the opposite, which is negative, because if we pay attention closely,

it's like we're trying to be positive, we're trying to stay positive, because inwardly,

actually, we are negative.

We are going through some things, we are resisting, trying to resist that actual negativity.

When really it all just is.

The universe has no reason to do something for a positive reason or do something for

a negative reason, but we have invented these options, which implies this division, which

always ends up as a conflict between the two.

So I feel that positivity has no relationship to any of this at all, to any things, any

thoughts, any definitions.

Anything we do is the action of thought, the action of the ego and therefore, will always

be in the pursuit of this idea or concept of positivity right?

In order to resist some kind of subtle negativity that is creeping unconsciously or just hidden

behind the mask of the ego, of this persona.

So what is negation?

This leads us to negation, because K says, "That through negation, comes positivity."

So we are always trying to define the positive.

We're always trying to find out what brings us positivity and we can't come to the positivity.

The positivity can't be invited because once we try to pursue it or once again since we

are pursuing, we are also resisting right?

Because in pursuit, there's a reason behind that.

So positivity is not something to get to, to achieve, to put effort in, to try and maintain.

Positivity is that which comes about when we negate what positivity is not.

So by understanding what is not positivity, such as me trying to be positive because I

feel like I'm negative.

That's not positivity because that action is born out of negativity.

So in that action contains a part of negativity, it contains both sides of the divisions.

So therefore, seeing this operate in our daily lives, in ourselves, and seeing it in its

many different expressions and subtle forms, basically brings about this understanding

because we're aware of this going on in ourselves and we see it as a factual living thing that's

happening.

And therefore, when we see something dangerous such as this, just that perception of it,

just seeing it, brings about its own resolution.

For example if we see how killing a person is wrong, we see that is understood, we don't

do that.

And of course there's exceptions to everything, but for the most part, human beings have the

capacity to be aware, be intelligent and when one sees something for themselves as danger,

one acts on its own, it just acts, that seeing is the action.

There's no need to see and think about what to do and then act.

So negation is exploring what the positive is not, in order to basically dissolve that

which it is not, because it's in the way, it's wasting our energy.

We don't have the energy to find out what is the real true meaning of positivity, of

love, of truth and all that.

We don't have that energy because there's so much clutter there.

So when we find out what positivity is not, we remove the unnecessary clutter and there's

energy freed up to actually see and discover something that is operating in our daily lives.

So positivity, I feel, has no relationship at all to negativity.

That's all I want to talk about in this video.

Thank you all for watching and listening and I will see you all in the next video, bye

bye.

How SSH key Works ? - Duration: 7:31.

Have you ever used SSH key yeah I'm sure you have used while using Git or while

accessing the network but do you really know how SSH key works. so let's explain

this with an easy example but before going to the SSH key working let's first

see what is SSH? SSH stands for Secure SHell and what it is ? it is a

cryptographic Network protocol but what is that mean? protocol-> think about

protocol as rules of transferring encoded data over the network

that's why cryptographic network protocol that's okay

but where this SSH used for? it is best used for accessing the remote servers

when you use this SSH key and you will get the command-line interface of

the server it's just like you sitting in front of the server which is situated

far apart you. So how this SSH key created. Actually SSH uses Asymmetric

cipher and what is Cipher? Cipher is a algorithm for performing encryption and

decryption that means a function which perform encryption and decryption that's

okay but why we need this SSH yaa we have the username password to log into

server but why SSH key because username and password can be stolen in the middle

the symmetrical encryption cannot be done on the remote server if you not

familiar with the symmetrical encryption let's first understand this because SSH

key uses Asymmetrical so we must have the knowledge of Asymmetrical and

symmetrical so symmetrical encryption is simply a one function which is shared

between two people and that function is single capable of encrypting and

decrypting the data sent along this means suppose

if I want to say ABC and that meaning is ZYX

then as sent to you this means you get the point okay you just have to reverse

the alphabetical order so if I send you ZYX you will

probably know that the function that the data actually is ABC but to perform this

action you and me both have the same cipher same algorithm or the same

function which is simply reversing the alphabetical order but here comes the

great problem because SSH key used for accessing the server which is remotely

placed placed far far apart from you and then problem comes with the symmetry

that how will you even share that function share that's safer because even

that cipher can be stolen and can be used by someone else in between so here

comes the great solution for symmetrical the Asymmetrical encryption our

symmetrical encryption uses a pair of key that means the public key and the

private key as the name suggests private key is a private we will not going to

share with anyone even not going to touch it

and the public key is accessible to anyone we share this with anyone we say

ok get this public keys you have this public key and if you want to contact

with me just encrypt your data with my public key and then anything which is

encrypted via your public key can only be decrypted by a private key remember

this this is very important and there are many encryption method RSA DSA ed25519

but in whole Asymmetric encryption one function is for encrypting the data and

another for decrypting so we share but public one as a encrypter and we keep

the private one as the Decrypter so now comes how SSH key works so you have a

private key and you have a public key and you want to access the server

so how you will perform this action so let's see from your local computer you

want to access the server but firstly you have to verify yourself so what you

do you will pass all the public key you have on your system to the server ok

because public key can be shared with anyone so there is no problem sharing

the public key - server then on these public Keys server identify if server

already has your public key registered then if it found then servers say ok now

let's verify yourself and after that server creates a new key it's a top

secret and now server encrypt that key with your public key remember you have

given the public key and with that public key server encrypted the top

secret key and then pass over to you again then because you have the private

key and you can unlock this you unlock that data and you got that top secret

and pass again over to server server know that yeah and this is the same

thing I have sent to you via your public key encrypted form and then

server says great you are verified and after that the ssh system creates a

tunnel between the local computer and the server and we can easily pass our

encrypted data along this tunnel this is a system but how this system can be used

so we have various ssh clients on our various type of machines like on mac OS

or linux they have built in terminal for Windows users you can use putty and

Android juice as a search and iOS has the prompt in it but you know every

great thing has some problem and SSH key has also because it's a service so it

cannot be available until you start the system so that's the great problem but

if you by mistake misconfigure or of any kind of access then you can't login

back one more problem is that if you forgot or if you delete it by mistake

the private key what the purpose of sending the public key to anyone because

you cannot decrypt any data so these are the things you have to keep in mind

while using SSH key but SSH key is a great help in passing data over the

networks and I think you have easily understand SSH key and it's working so

if you have any doubt feel free to message me and they don't follow to

share this video to everyone so that everyone get what SSH key and how it

performs the encryptions over the network so don't forget subscribe and

like BitFumes on Facebook Twitter and Instagram bye

Dolores O'Riordan laid to rest next to late father - Duration: 3:38.

Dolores O'Riordan laid to rest next to late father

Dolores ORiordan was laid to rest in her home city in County Limerick, Ireland, on Tuesday (23Jan18).

The Cranberries frontwoman, who died on 15 January (17) aged 46, was remembered by friends and family at a mass in Saint Ailbes church in Ballybricken, before she was buried next to her late father Terence in a private burial at the nearby Caherelly cemetery.

Among the guests at the service was Dolores boyfriend Ole Koretsky, her mother Eileen, her ex-husband Don Burton and their children Taylor, Molly and Dakota Burton, Bonos wife Ali Hewson and The Cranberries band members Mike and Noel Hogan and Fergal Lawlor.

A rendition of classic tune Ave Maria, sung by Dolores and Luciano Pavarotti, began the service, before Canon Liam McNamara, a retired parish priest and close friend of the ORiordan family, told the congregation of the late singer: Her kind personality and beautiful singing voice earned for her numerous admirers.

It must be added that the numbers she rescued from the darkness of depression are impossible to count.

No words are adequate to describe Dolores or to accurately state the influence for good she has been over the years.

Two gifts which represented Dolores love of music, a guitar, and a platinum disc award, were taken to the altar by her niece Eileen, while her nephew Patrick presented a picture which once belonged to her great great great grandmother of Our Lady of Dolours, after whom Dolores was named.

Dolores life-long friend Breffni also took a poetry book up to the altar.

Dolores sister Angela did the first reading, while the second was done by her nephew Andrew, who also performed at the end of the service alongside brother Daniel, both of whom had been members of the Limerick Pipe Band.

Dolores five godchildren, Brandon, Colm, Gerard, Luke, and Megan, read the Prayers of the Faithful.

Canon McNamara, who remembered Dolores as having a gentle voice, a loving smile and warm humour, also referenced the remaining members of The Cranberries, telling them: It's tough for you too.

We'll always remember you.

Sympathies from the heart..

Independent radio stations in Ireland also paid tribute to the singer by playing the groups 1996 hit When Youre Gone after the midday news on Tuesday.

While the Metropolitan Police are not treating Dolores death as suspicious, an inquest into her passing has been adjourned until 3 April, as the coroner awaits test results.
