David Lachapelle ⎸ PICS PILLS #15 - Duration: 3:17.

Hi everybody! I would like to talk to you about David Lachapelle.

This is for me the master of the staging.

And if it is not an opinion shared by all, it is in any case the master of the diorama in photography.

So what is the diorama?

It is this particular staging device that is often used to stage stuffed animals

in order to restore their natural environment.

It's about creating a box, like a small theater, whose surfaces are painted,

and in which the subject is placed.

It is often an absurd staging, since the dynamism that the dead animal adopts

is sabotaged by the size of the box in which he is.

The photography lesson of David Lachapelle, here it is:

Never make a collage on the computer.

If you have a delusional idea, it's a lot more fun to create it in real life than to mount it on a computer.

I will not summarize all David Lachapelle in one episode, given the wealth of his work,

but I will try.

It's a kitschish, absurd work, full of humor, which will earn him the label of over-realistic sometimes.

There is in his photos a kind of cynicism inherited from Wahrol.

In fact, I imagine David Lachapelle as someone who sees absolutely everything as signs.

For him, everything is language.

And what he loves above all else is playing.

The pop universe is a language, the images of the stars is a language,

eroticism is a language, so for David Lachapelle it is a very smooth eroticism, it is an eroticism of publicity.

This cynicism about the signs allows him to combine everything and above all anything.

And with a preference when there is a huge overload of meaning.

Lachapelle wants to speak all languages at the same time.

No sign is more important or sacred than another,

and it is by accumulating signs and meanings that he creates his own unique and kitsch language.

But if I wanted to talk to you about David Lachapelle it's because it's the photographer who made me want to go into photography ten years ago.

And especially thanks to a series on the theme of Jesus.

The principle of the series is: "If Jesus arrived today in the middle hip hop bling bling, what would it give?"

This is how we find ourselves with scenes of the Bible revisited in the hip hop sauce.

One sees for example a version of the supper or the footbath of Saint Marie-Madeleine.

As I said, no sign is more sacred than another.

But Jesus is never treated like a ridiculous personage, on the contrary.

There is in this series, all that I like about David Lachapelle,

he manages to create a huge shift simply through staging.

He places the characters dressed as hip hop gangsta in falsely dynamic poses, as if they were stuffed,

and next to it Jesus seems illumined and out of all reality.

It literally looks like a fraction of a second before the picture is taken.

With the help of artificial colors and lights, all the elements seem unreal.

One almost wonders what one is looking at,

if it's an ad for addidas or a religious kitch image.

What I love about David Lachapelle is that we can spend a lot of time dissecting his photos.

Why is there such object or such?

The images are full of little details for the curious spectator.

All his photos are scenes that are incredibly mastered, yet beautifully deep.

There is a real work of orphèvre on the whole of its staging.

Liverpool FC Transfer Rumour Round-up - Reds miss out on defensive pair, Lemar interest cooling and Sturridge could stay

The latest rumours involving Liverpool in the final week of the January transfer window suggests there may be little movement in or out of the club.

The Reds started the new year strongly with a move for Virgil van Dijk, but there has been precious little incoming activity since then to strengthen the first team.

Marko Grujic has departed on loan, Philippe Coutinho joined Barcelona and there may yet be further short-term departures for younger players, but any expensive outlays look unlikely at present.

Thursday's rumours see the Reds interested in more than one addition, particularly with regard to strengthening the defence for the longer-term, as well as an update on the future of striker Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge hesitant over Serie A switch.

Daniel Sturridge hasn't been getting regular game time this season under Jurgen Klopp, and another injury in December didn't help matters.

The striker has missed the past 10 games amid continuing speculation over his future, with the World Cup on the horizon and Roberto Firmino showing no signs of giving up his starting spot.

Sturridge has been on the wanted list for Inter Milan and Sevilla during January, but while the Italian side have reportedly agreed terms with the Reds, the forward isn't sold on the idea.

The Echo report Sturridge is instead waiting on Sevilla to follow up their interest, but a bid from the Spanish team has not been forthcoming.

Inter are said to have offered a loan fee in excess of £2 million, as well as covering all the striker's wages for the remainder of the season.

There would also be an option, but not a compulsory clause, to make the deal permanent in summer.

The move appears to hinge on Sturridge's wishes now, with Liverpool not actively trying to offload him and happy to retain his services until the end of the season—albeit more than likely from the bench.

Interest cooling in Lemar.

The big suggestion all winter has been that the Reds would look to AS Monaco's Thomas Lemar as a replacement for Coutinho.

But a report in the Birmingham Mail suggests Klopp has been quoted £90 million for the France international and feels it's too high a price to pay.

The suggestion is that the Reds wanted a deal for around £75m, the same amount they signed Van Dijk for, and thus they will sit tight instead of splashing out.

Further speculation that Lemar had been left out of his side's most recent match because he had agreed terms with Liverpool are also wide of the mark.

The Echo report there is no agreement between the club and player, with Klopp having dampened any expectations of new additions.

Gallacher signs from Falkirk.

One new addition has been completed though, with the £200,000 capture of Scottish left-back Tony Gallacher.

The 18-year-old joins from Championship side Falkirk, having been on trial with the Reds this month.

While the club haven't confirmed the capture of the young defender, BBC Sport report the deal has been struck and Gallacher will link up with the U-23s.

Brandt wants Bundesliga stay.

A former rumour more than a current one, but Julian Brandt's name has popped up once more…and probably will do incessantly over summer.

The Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder has just a year and a half left on his contract and there remains speculation that he will be on the move.

But Sport Bild report his father and agent refuting any such transfer, saying there is unfinished business with B04.

Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are credited with interest in Brandt, who will be available at a lower price this summer under the terms of his contract.

No Konsa in January.

Charlton Athletic centre-back Ezri Konsa has been linked with the Reds for months already, but the 20-year-old won't be moving this month.

That's according to a report in the Mail, which suggests the £5 million asking price is too steep.

Everton and Brighton have also been credited with an interest, and it now appears likely there will be a big battle for his signature in the summer instead.

Bogdan on the move?.

A long-overdue departure from Anfield could be on the cards, with backup goalkeeper Adam Bogdan reportedly shortlisted by Leeds United.

Evening Post journalist Phil Hay suggests Leeds could turn to Bogdan if their own goalkeeper Andy Lonergan is snared by Sunderland.

The Hungarian hasn't featured for the Reds since 2015/16, spending last season on loan at Wigan before suffering an ACL injury.

Now 30, Bogdan still has another year left on his contract with Liverpool.

Belgian 'wonderkid' admired by Klopp.

Finally, another young prodigy who Liverpool have reportedly missed out on this month is Zinho Vanheusden.

The Inter Milan centre-back is just 18 years of age, but comes highly rated, with Jurgen Klopp said to be keen to bring him in.

However, Sky Italia report (via the Mirror) he'll now head to Standard Liege instead, back in his home nation of Belgium.

The loan stint is to enable him to gain first-team experience until the summer, when Klopp and any other interested parties may resume their chase for his signature.

a Youtube ad.

I haven't recover yet for this shitty episode 7...

Bright take place in our old 21 century in Los Angeles.

And came with a good idea who is mixing heroic fantasy,

like the Lord of The Rings with orc, elf and human,

with problems of our actual society.

And here you say to yourself that's could be hardly good...

but no !

The movie starts with a bunch of tag who where there to

explain to you the background story and how we get there.

But guys seriously, tags !?

You don't think that is way too light !

Let me just take an exemple :

In the film they talk about Jirak, an orc who unified the

9 armies to fight the lord of darkness.

But at any time in the movie we get a flashback or a scene

from this battle !

Except maybe this tag !

Maybe after all the director was told himself :

9 armies who unite, forgetting their difference, to fight

the Lord of Darkness, everybody have seen the Lord of the Rings !

And that's where, for me, the film start to make mistakes.

Believing that everybody knows that type of story

and there is no need to explain it.

On the top of that, it's a Netflix's production so that

can be watch by a large public.

Who maybe don't know what is heroic fantasy,

but still want to watch it.

The movie is enough abitious because it talks about

today's problem : the fear of the difference.

On Bright we follow the police duo :

Ward who is a human played by Will Smith

and Jakoby who is an orc played under a ton of make up

by Joel Edgerton.

Jakoby is the first orc to enter the police of Los Angeles,

not without critics.

Because orcs are made in gangs who are related to a

lot of criminal things.

So Ward's buddy, who are humans, are very sceptical about

the position Jakoby have in the police.

Well done, good point !

The movie have not choose an easy topic to talk about racism.

But I think the way is good even they don't go to deep

on that subject.

Still they talk about and in final is that not

the more important ?

I'm gonna move on now into some scene that have, well,

chocked me.

Bright wants to be an action movie because we follow

the storie of two cops.

So who says cops, says gunfight.

And it's a problem when the first shooting scene is empty

like the brain of Donald Trump when he takes his smartphone

to tweet.

The reproach I make often about recent film

is that every time there is an action scene

the camera move in every direction and the switching of layout is

very fast to show the violence of the scene.

But it's so much fast that you don't have the time to

understand what is happening.

At least it's more frustating that enjoying.

But with this scene it's okay, it's not going to fast...

You got plenty of time to understand...

maybe too much thoo

and that's where it's start to be awkward.

Without spoiling the story, even the trailer do

that very well.

Our two cops intercept a magic stick

who is supposed to realize every crazy dreams you have.

Then arrives Ward's colleagues

who want to keep the magic stick for them

to use it in a very good way :

You want a million dollars?

You want ten million?

You wanna be taller or shorter?

Make your dick bigger?

That's it.

Of course it's kind of creepy

but it shows how humans can be selfish against magic.

For the magic stick it's not just a random wood stick coming

out from Oillvander's shop.

Oh no, of course no.

It's more like a fluorescent tube of 450

fucking watts !

To bilieve that if we where in north of France

some would have already hung on their rockers.

This magic stick, if it fall in some bad hand,

will serve to come back the Lord of Darkness...

Yes, but as I say before

the Lord of Darkness we don't see him !

The challenge to protect the magic stick from bad guys

is completly canceled.

We don't have any fear about what could happended.

My little theory about the fact we don't see

the Lord of Darkness

is that all the money was spend on specials effects for this

damn magic stick !

And on orc's make up, who looks very cool by the way.

And no it's not a joke.

To conclude I have just one thing to say :

don't wtach this movie.

We know well Neflix...

NETFLIX motherfucker

We know well Netflix because of their series

but it's not the first time they jump in

the cinematic universe.

It's too bad because the environment and the basic idea

was great to do something good.

This film is a mess because of the story telling and

those empty dialogus.

And the worst in that is they haven't let the place

to make a second episode.

Not the first time Netflix take a superstar to play

in their movie.

They collaborate on time with Adam Sandler

on a BUNCH of film

and they were not so good.

Where Will Smith was supposed to carry the movie,

he make it worst or he doesn't act is best performence.

But of course what did you expect it's a Netflix movie.

Wait take a Hollywodd superstar to play in an unfinished movie

it's remind me something...

They make to us a Nicolas Cage.

Anyway, let's get right into this video because today. I want to talk about all of the books

I want to read in winter

I just want to show you guys the books that I want to read towards beginning of the year so pretty much my combined

January and February TBR

It's pretty much all books that I just want to read as soon as possible most of them are honestly review copies and they are

Just books that I really want to read now as soon as possible at the beginning of the year because I have this really bad

Habit of sometimes just like not reading books that I've gotten from review and stuff for a really long time and just always like putting them

Off for whatever weird reason so I really want to read them now get them out of the way and then afterwards I can be

The mood free I'm meant to be and read whatever books on my shelves

I feel like so yeah, I really want to get those read now in winter and there's quite a big stack of them

So let's get right into it the first one is Attachments by Rainbow Rowell

This is the German copy of this and it was a travelling book

so it has comments from a lot of my friends written in it and

I need to read this because it's been on my TBR for like years even though I'm

always super excited to read travelling books with like all of the comments from other people who have already read the book before me and

Yeah, so definitely this needs to get read as soon as possible

And I'm around a hundred pages in and I'm enjoying it so far

Now let's get into some review copies the first one is one that I'm as good as finish with and that is The Last Namsara

By Kirsten Ciccarelli, and this is the German cover. It's pretty much the same as the English one I think

but in German it's called Iskari, which I think it's really interesting how they changed like the names. Anyway, I am loving this

It's really really really good. I'm almost done with it

And yeah, definitely really really good

I'm so happy that I got this for review. Then another German review book. I would like to read as soon as possible and

The City of Dreaming Books, part 2 of the graphic novel series

I read the first one in December and really really loved it.

So I'm super excited to pick this up next. then one that I'm pretty ashamed I haven't read yet

I got this from Penguin Random House International, and I really should have read it by now

But it's Artemis by Andy Weir. I hope that's how you say it... "Artemis"?

I got this a little bit before it even came out in November

I still haven't read it which is embarrassing, and I need to read this as soon as possible

I'm really pumped because I love The Martian so much

I know that some people gave this really bad reviews, but other people really loved it so

This will get read very, very soon, I hope. Then also by Penguin Random House I received Batman

Nightwalker by Mary Lou which I'm super excited about

Thanks so much penguin for being so lovely! This is pretty short, so I should get through this relatively quickly

But yeah, I'm really really excited to read it it was an arc

I got it a couple of days before the release it came out on January 2nd so it's still a very new release and

Yeah, I'm gonna try to read and review

This as soon as possible and then a final review copy that I have, is one that has been on my shelves for so long

And I'm so sorry, but that is The Crowns of Crosswald by D.E. Night

This is a copy that I got from the author and I've heard amazing things about this

it's super magical,

a YA fantasy read that a lot of people on Bookstagram have been raving about and I need to read this

I'm really really happy and excited to read it and it will happen this winter

I also think that winter is the perfect time of the year to read this because reading those kind of magical books with snow outside

Inside in your bed and with a hot cup of tea

It just sounds perfect, so I'm very very excited to get to this soon! and the final book that

I need to read because it is a traveling book that needs to get passed on to the next reader is

Vicious by V.E. Schwab. You guys might know that V.E. Schwab is one of my all-time favorite authors

and I can't believe I haven't read Vicious yet, but I am so excited for it and

once I've read this I'm gonna be even more excited about the release of the sequel of this this year, so yeah

I'm getting prepared for Vicious part 2 and

I'm so excited to get to this and hopefully read it

sometime in January or February

So that's it for my TBR. I hope I'm not being too ambitious

I might be because honestly I have exams coming up at the beginning of February

And I don't have a lot of reading time, so all of this is gonna be a little bit hard

But they are all books

I really need to and really want to read so I will try to make them all a priority

and hopefully I'll get them all read and finished, and you will hear my opinions about them

DIY How to make 3D flower gelatin art cake (ENG Subtitles) - Speed up #446 - Duration: 4:47.

Hi. Today I will show you how to make 3D gelatin flower.

Detailed list of all needed items is in the description of this video.

Mix 2 packs of clear gelatin dessert with 900ml of water (that's a little less than normally - 1 liter).

Leave it to set for the night.

Heat up a milk, about half of cup.

Mix it with 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1.5 teaspoon of gelatin.

Pour 1/3 of milk to a small container...

...and add green food dye.

Put it in bigger container full of hot water. Otherwise it will solidify.

Dye the rest of the milk by using any color you like.

Fill a syringe with your color.

Attach a needle.

Now put the needle right in the center of gelatin dessert.

Press the syringe and slowly remove the needle from the dessert.

Do a few more petals in the same way.

Clean the surface.

Now put the needle in the dessert but slightly angled.

Make another row of petals.

Clean the surface.

Put the needle in the dessert in a little bigger angle and move it slightly to the side to make a wider petal.

Rotate the bowl and make another row of petals.

Make more rows of petals. Each one should be in a little bigger angle and with a slightly bigger petals.

If your needle will clog you should put it in hot water for a couple of second.

Leave some space for the leaves.

Now, fill the syringe with green liquid.

Put the needle in dessert almost horizontally and make a narrow leaves.

Next, make the bigger leaves by incising the dessert with knife and pouring the liquid.

Put the dessert in a refrigerator for about 2-3 hours.

Put a bow in a hot water for a few minutes...

...and take the dessert out of it.

And it's done.

This 3D flower will be an amazing decoration for our cakes and desserts.

It will definitely make an impression on our guests.
