Youtube daily report w Jan 24 2018

Today I'm behind the wheel of a real monster, probably it's one of the most powerful Audi TT available on the market because

I'm not driving a standard Audi TT-RS, I'm driving the TT RS-R modified by ABT and available from my friends at Car&Car.

By its look you can immediately understand that this is a little beast.

The colour Nardo Grey is absolutely amazing, not to mention all the carbon fibre details and the small wing that make this car really menacing,

not to mention the engine sound!

Listen to the pops!

The guys at ABT have created a monster because if the standard TT RS comes out the factory with a whopping 400hp well,

ABT tuned the 5cyl 2.5L turbo engine to an incredible 500hp and 570nm of torque, we're in the territory and supercar performance!

In the cockpit you can already feel that the soul of this Audi is sporty,

there's no many distractions there's only this massive digital display in front of us

and for example if you want to change the setting there's no need to look for the buttons in the central console but you just have to

press the button we find on the steering wheel and here we can choose different settings,

obviously we're driving now in Dynamic which is the sportiest setting, let's switch also to manual gear change.

It pulls really hard up to 7000rpm and the double clutch of this car is fantastic!

And the nice thing about the TT RS-R is that you don't see them often because it's a liimted edition produced in just 50 units

and this one available at Car&Car costs about 100,000€.

I think that it's a car that is not just fun to drive but also the right car for young people, maybe a good altenative to other blazoned and common cars like the Porsche 911.

If you remember last summer I tested the new Audi R8 in California, in terms of sensations I feel like this TT RS-R is a bit more aggressive and menacing

especially in terms of power delivery.

Compared to an Audi R8, we may find lots of common components like the steering wheel which is the same,

more or less also the engine. The famous 5cyl 2.5L turbo engine is nothing more than half bank engine of that engine, in fact the is the same.. this one's louder though!

If I need to make a critic about this car, which is the same "defect" I found on the R8 is the digital display because as I told you

there's no other screens on the car and you control everything on this display which I find very annoying if - for example -

selecting the radio, see the speed while driving..

I'd rather have a dedicated display just for the invotainment and here being able to see only the engine revs and the speed I'm doing.

Start&Stop on a 500hp car..

ABT didn't modify only the engine but also the suspensions, in fact the car is not just lower but also stiffer but

I have to say that in Comfort mode the car rides very well, the car can absorbe the potholes pretty good, as you know italian roads are very bumpy.

The steering wheel is very soft and light, it becomes a car very pleasant to daily drive also in the city but once you find a empty straight - Dynamic mode

So guys we're back at Car&Car with the little monster and I wanna show you something very particular about this car.

Turn off the engine, open the door and listen

Basically by turning off the engine and opening the door you can hear the heart beat that we can consider Audi's trademark that get plaied at the end of their commercials, really particular!

Guys what to say, this little Audi TT RS-R is a real bomb, a genuine small supercar, I really had good fun behind the wheel and I don't hide you that

maybe I had more fun in this rather than with the new Audi R8!

Thanks also to my friends at Car&Car for letting me drive it!

Make sure to Like the video if you enjoy it and subscribe to my YouTube if you haven't yet and as always thanks for watching, ciao!

Frsky Receivers - Fpv Drone Race - Duration: 6:29.

Hello everyone, I'm Mirko, and today we do a comparative among Frsky receivers

These are the 2.4ghz receivers recommended for FPV drones

if you want to buy them you will find all the links in the description

Starting from the left we have:

X4R-SB; XSR; XM+ and R-XSR

They are all compatible with XJT module in D16 mode

so they can be used with both Taranis and Horus

The firmware of these receivers can be updated easily via the radio itself

and we can choose to install the European or non-European version.

These receivers support the SBUS protocol

it is a low latency digital protocol

which sends all the channels into a single signal cable.

The Sbus has become the standard for FPV drones

old protocols like PPM and PWM they are obsolete and are no longer used.

The maximum number of channels with the SBUS is 16, sufficient for each configuration need.

All receivers except for XM+

have the SmartPort available.

SmartPort is a two-way transmission interface developed by Frsky.

With SmartPort, we read the flight controller sensors

and we receive the telemetry data on the radio.

In addition to receiving data with SmartPort we can also send them.

For example via Lua Script we can transmit from the Radio to the Flight controller the PID configuration

All four receivers provide us with the RSSI signal.

However in the XM + we can receive it only via flight controller OSD

Frsky declares these receivers as full-range, this means that they have 1.5km of reach.

However we talk about theoretical limits since distance is influenced by external factors

such as the presence of obstacles between the radio and receiver

Now let's see the weight and size of the receivers.

The width of the X4R is 20.7mm

the length is 30mm

The weight is 3.2g

Total antenna length is 15cm

the exposed part is 31.2mm

The width of the XSR is 19.1mm

the length is 25.7mm

The weight is 3.2g

Total antenna length is 9cm

the exposed part is 25mm

The width of the XM + is 11.9mm

the length is 21.9mm

The weight is 1.2g

Total antenna length is 9cm

the exposed part is 22mm

The width of the R-XSR is 11mm

the length is 16.4mm

The weight is 1.2g

Total antenna length is 9cm the exposed part is 22mm

To conclude, we see receiver pros and cons

The X4R has proven over time a solid and reliable receiver.

Good possibility to replace the antennas in case of damage.

Weight and size do not play in X4R favor, this receiver is not suitable for smaller buildings.

Even the XSR is a valid choice and offers us weight and smaller in size than X4R.

His biggest cons can be considered have the antennas soldered directly into the PCB.

This makes it very difficult to replace antennas for beginners.

The XM + is one of the most compact receivers of Frsky line.

Here too we have the possibility to replace easily the antennas in case of damage.

The absence of SmartPort is definitely a cons

even if we have to say that the modern flight controllers, via OSD,

they give us all the information we need on the screen.

Of the four it is the one with the lowest cost

appearance to keep in mind if we want to assemble a low-cost drone.

To conclude we have the latest arrival at Frsky, the R-XSR.

This receiver contains all the advantages of the others:

low weight and size, possibility to replace antennas and SmartPort.

the initial R of the name stands for Redundancy and gives us the possibility of connecting a second receiver.

However this feature is not essential for racing or acrobatic miniquads.

And what do you think?

Which is your favorite receiver?

Nabemono : Japanese Food, Shabu Shabu - Duration: 4:35.

You should put asside the Nabe that he prepared with some -- skills

today Seba is going to eat Nabe at the restaurant

and maybe this Nabe is better than the one that he tried to do once in one of his road to Materchef videos

Hi, we are going to On

it means hot, no? like the On-sen (japanese spa)

they said that the table is ready in some minutes

cool, we ear Nabe at the restaurant, but mine was better!

So here we are at the Onyasai...it literally means vegetables at the spa

no...hot vegetables^^

and here they cook basically Nabe, it's a pot dish

we are here tonight

we are going to eat Shabu Shabu, it's this meat

at the beginning we decided to take two different pots

we took this two

and we took one of these sets

and here we can take everything what we want

and plus all what we want to drink

we took like all you can eat

once it arrives I will show you what we took!

let's cheers!

some things did arrive

a bit of everything

now this is heating up

and then we will enjoy this meal

we take the meat and we add it!

this is the Shabu Shabu

I do it also if I like more the chicken one...

we need to wait a bit more, it's not that hot right now

well, see how the color changed?

we need to heat it good, because we don't want to eat it raw

this Nabe looks delicious! oh the lens fogged up

let's begin with some vegetables

well it looks good, but also the one that I did wasn't bad!

this is the Goma, for a more tasty flavour

he said that I'm bad at this, so...

you see nothing

more beer came!

this is like my third drink

Ok I think that you understand that you are drunk, since you think that this is a straw

(he is repeating himself)

ok now I'm really drunk

ok these liquors are not for me^:^

other food

now we add more water

ok, now we finished eating the Nabe! I'm still alive

after some drinks

they said we should put the ramen

and if you want it super al-dente, you need ro put it for 1 minute

ready?

it looks like water, but it isn't^^

OMG how nice aspect!

one minute starts from now!

look the Nabe changed color! - ok you can't see it

there is a lot of ramen

so, when you've finished the Nabe, you can just add ramen or rice

and you eat it like this

you can't see anything! it's so good

it's sweet, but super alcoholic! I can't hold the camera

this is the last thing tht arrived

it's a dessert, the warabi mochi

and then this daifu

they're cute!

it's so good!

with ice cream and azuki

you can't imagine how good this daifu is!

with some ice cream inside!

I'm full like a balloon, dinner was amazing!

it costed like 80€,

See you tomorrow with another video always at 2pm (GMT+1)

I hope you enjoyed watching

write in the comments if you preferred the Nabe that I cooked,

or the one that you saw today.

See you tomorrow, I wait for you! CIAO

Trays for snacks with disposable dishes step by step - Duration: 8:29.

Hello friends, welcome to your channel Arte in Your Hands, for today we are going to perform

These trays are very simple, made with

Disposable plates or cardboard plates, that help us serve in a way

ordered the snacks, (snacks) then I hope accompany me to the end so that

Learn to do it together with me, Welcome!!

and for this simple project

so we need cardboard plates, These are available in stores

for party accessories, too ribbons or bows either in fabric or on paper

of approximately 1.5 cm, or 2 centimeters wide, scissors, ruler,

pencil, silicone gun with bar of sylicon,

let's take a plate of cardboard and with the help of the rule

we will take measure, that the end, of the deep part the plate is left 4

centimeters on each end and so then we will form a square

if you want you can do it less distance, that will give less depth to

the tray, at the time of serving, I have advanced others

Let them forward in the following way: Take a piece of paper or cardboard that

is not using and based on the first to the first mold take the

distance, take the measure and cut the piece and so what I do is in the following

dishes take the mold, the base and mark them and then with the rule we are guided,

Here I am going to show you a little, ..... how is it that I do to advance the work

he located it I take the rule to that I still stay the same and do not go

be different distances the plate or the tray, he placed it that way with the rule that

than 4 centimeters for the 4 sides

I hold very well and here I get the measure with what I do, it's like a trick I start

to mark, I do not have to be perfect, but if it serves as a guide and then with the

rule one all the ends and so it remains the dish with the best shape

they are also even ... and so I do with all trays to serve the snacks

when he has already made the marks then with the help of the scissors I'm going to take

just to say so one of the lines and there I'll start making a

cut, for example here start and short where the lines were joining

I do the same with the other side and would do the same but with those who are in

this extreme he turned around and they are

here at this time then I would double where is the brand we made with

pencil, then very soft, is not for damage the dishes, or for us to stay

in a bad way, I'm going to do it here too

at the beginning it does not look very cute, it's like one was damaging the plate, but no,

is the way to put it together, and here I'm also going to double it

and you work it on the table then it's more

easy, here I am doing it in the air

after I double them all, I do the doubles and so then I'm joining the plate

We are leaving the trays, with the forms of cash, what we are going to do is

that with hot silicone I'm going to start to paste the pieces,

now as I already have all the doubles let's take the tabs and let's

begin to paste, we locate well

we do the same to the other side, to the other the extreme

we must be careful not to hurt ourselves with the silicone hot

we paste and let dry

when it is completely dry, then we take the tape, either on paper or

fabric and we're going to start hitting for Give the project a little more color

we stick it all around and It also gives us more confidence that

the piece will be more precise, more secure, more just,

we remove the excess tape

and so we are then ready to serve ... what we can introduce are

some kitchen paper napkins, that we It also helps to decorate and we can

introduce some chocolate or a idea also that we can be very nice

is to share snacks or cookies, this idea can save us that no

they are watered so much that it is very decorative and a lot of color to a meeting whether

children or friends for a coffee, so it's a very simple idea that

can do very fast that gives a lot order and that when we finished the

event we can discard them, then I hope you like the project that

put into practice and remember that the art is in Your Hands.

How To Keep Your Cat Warm in Winter! Tips For Warming Your Cat and Keeping Them Happy in Winter! - Duration: 3:32.

Hi guys welcome back to the channel! It is Claire and Rags and it is definitely winter

there is more than just a nip in the air, it is very chilly outside especially here

in the UK! Now while it's important for us as humans to keep warm in the winter

It is just as important for our cats. Now most cats do you have a built-in

fur coat to keep them warm but if your cat is an indoor cat or slightly older

they can feel the cold. So Rags and I are here with some tips to keep your cat

nice and toasty warm during the winter months. Now you can get your cat a heated

bed not only will this help to keep your cat toasty warm on the cold days but it

will make you very popular with your cat! Now as cat owners we know that they

absolutely love finding any source of heat whether that's your lap or your

laptop though they are more than guaranteed to love it i heated bed. Now

this is not just a good way to keep your cat warm, but if you have a slightly

older cats like I do with Rags and having heated bed it's a great way to ease

their aches and pains. Ragsy likes sitting on hers so much it's actually quite hard to

get her off it. Now heated beds are widely available and tend to be quite

inexpensive but if you do get one you just need to make sure you read the

instructions carefully and you don't leave it unattended or on overnight if

it isn't meant to. Well if heated beds aren't your cat's cup of tea you can try

giving them lots of access to it some spots. Now we all know that cat

absolutely love basking into in the sun's rays and no matter what time of

year. The way to sun can be even though it's cold outside it was

coming in through a window it can be glorious and your cat will love it

What need to do really is make sure that any windows that do get Sun the curtains are

open and there are plenty of spaces for your cat to lounge around in the Sun

whether that be on a window sill or just on the floor somewhere where they can spend the afternoon

Now maintaining your cat's activity level especially during

the winter and colder months it is a great way to not only make sure your cat

stays nice and toasty warm, but both helps them keep active and healthy

Now a lot of people during winter like to keep their cats indoors as it does get

dark a lot and the way that can be very unforgiving what you need to make sure

that your cats don't get bored while being shot inside make sure you play

with your cat often and have lots of little games and poked around the house

and make sure you just spend a little time playing with your cat

Not only is it good to make sure your cat isn't bored doesn't get cold but it's great

way to bond with your cat and lastly during these winter months you might

want to keep an eye out for cats you don't have a nice cozy forever home if

you notice any strays in your area you could leave something in your shares

maybe a little bed and some fresh straw or a few blankets and make sure there's

fresh water and food out for them. Now winter is a particularly harsh time to

be stuck outdoors so if you can't catch these stray cats and take to a shelter

You can at least provide them some Wellborn for the night. Thanks for

watching guys I hope you found these tips useful and interesting and if you

have any additional tips on how to keep your cats at warm this winter let me

know in the comment section below Rags and I absolutely love to know about you

and your cats. If you did like the video guys please give a big thumbs up and hit

the subscribe button and think about becoming part of the notification squad

by clicking the little bell button. Thanks again guys and Rags and I will see you in our next video! Bye!

the length is 30mm

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I got an email from someone who—I'm not going to name names here just to keep this

anonymous, but he is actually a blind developer originally from Iran.

He gave me an update.

I had spoken to him or exchanged emails with him a couple times before.

Hopefully, this will still be anonymous.

I mean I think it's still fairly anonymous here.

There's not any real sensitive information.

I'll skip names of companies and stuff as well.

He asked a really interesting question, something that I've struggled with myself.

I thought I would read this.

Let me see here.

He's got a TLDR version, but I'm just going to skip that and go to the full question.

He says, "I've come a long way since we last spoke that I passed an interview at XYZ company

and moved to the Netherlands as an expat with a really good salary.

Coming out of Iran means I get access to buy whatever I want, go around and talk to people

who have always inspired me if I want to and do work that really matters."

That's pretty cool.

"The whole interview process was really hard.

I had to learn about interview questions and such, which strangely enough is all explained

visually.

The point is I did the impossible.

I literally pushed through something that sighted people rarely even attempt and I did

it just for fun.

Not for reaching a goal, not for being a superstar.

I was seriously enjoying every single minute of it.

I had a clear goal and I was enjoying the process of going there.

Then I arrived in the Netherlands, went to work and found that I didn't enjoy programming

at all.

Not anymore.

At first, I thought it's something with XYZ company itself.

I started moving teams.

Maybe it's because they use Perl.

Maybe it's because they don't do TDD.

Maybe it's because there's little software design and everyone has pound some shit out

ASAP mentality.

Maybe if I did go instead of Perl, maybe if I land myself on a purely back-end or low-level

programming position.

I did all of that.

I'm currently somewhere I would have loved to be.

I'm in the part of the core infrastructure team working on the platform that could be

the next big thing for the company and I don't enjoy any of it.

It's getting to the point where I'm constantly pushing myself to work and deliver the next

task and compared to that internal battle, difficult programming tasks just feel like

a breeze.

I used to jump out of bed in the morning before my alarm ring.

I would be looking forward to the first day of the week.

Now, getting out of bed and going to work is harder than going to the gym and willingly

torturing myself.

As I said before, I know there's no easy answer to this.

However, I wonder if you have faced something like this before or have gotten emails like

this before.

Is there any way to find out what's wrong?

Thanks for producing awesome content.

You're amazing.

Have an awesome 2018."

Okay.

First of all, let me say that this is a common experience and I am going through this now.

I'm going through this many times in my life and I will continue to go through this in

the future.

Now, I have to say that because I don't have a perfect answer for you, like I don't

know if this is a curable problem because I constantly reencounter this.

I mean just like this last week.

I'm sort of coming out of one of those phases because like last week, I really didn't

feel like making videos.

I really didn't feel like answering my email and just doing any kind of Simple Programmer

work.

I didn't really want to do it or go to the gym even.

I just felt very, very unmotivated.

Now, I've done videos about this.

I did a video recently talking about this.

I'm not going to beat a dead horse there, but I will say that I just pushed forward

through this stuff and it does eventually disappear.

I feel like I'm coming out of that now even though I'm still not as excited.

I feel more comfortable definitely doing the videos and doing the stuff that I need to

do.

Maybe that's part of the problem too.

I mean if you recognize my vocabulary, if you've been watching this channel for a while,

you'd probably say, "Hey, John.

Wait a minute.

You need to do it or do you get to do it?

You want to do it, right?"

Really, I get to do this stuff.

I choose to do these things.

I think there's always going to be that aspect of it.

I think no matter where you get in life and whatever you're doing, you're going to find

a point where it just becomes drudgery, to some point like you're going to lose motivation.

You're not going to be excited about it.

Again, the thing that makes people become really successful in life and the thing that

I would attribute most of my success in life too is being able to like say, "You know what?

Fuck it, John.

I don't care how you feel right now.

You're going to do this shit anyway and you're going to push through."

I've talked about this a lot of times about dealing with burnout and how I don't really

believe in burnout because for the most part—even though I may feel the symptoms of burnout,

I feel like I'm burned out, I know that pushing through is the answer that is going to get

you the better outcome in life, and that when you don't push through, that's when you

lose all the momentum.

You lose everything you've built up.

Even though sometimes it's not the most comfortable or easy thing to push through, that's why

we push through anyway.

Everytime I've done that in life, I've been rewarded by doing that.

With that said, I want to talk about something specifically here which is what our emailer—I'll

call him P—what P said here that is really interesting.

Just this idea and just a concept that happens.

I'll give you a story back—oh, gosh.

I don't remember how long this was, but there was a period of time where I was getting

back into shape and really trying to lose some weight and stuff, and I enrolled in this

three-month, 90-day fitness challenge in this competition.

I made a perfect diet plan.

I had a perfect routine and I followed this shit 90 days perfectly.

Executed perfectly.

Every day I was living and breathing this because that was my goal.

I ended up winning the competition.

I ended up having a huge transformation.

The next day, I was so depressed.

It was horrible.

I was like I finally achieved what I wanted to achieve and now here I am depressed.

I asked myself, "Why?

What the fuck is wrong with you, man?

What is going on?"

I'll tell you another story.

I'll tell you another one on top of that, which is related which is—like I mean just

related to what I was just talking about.

Here I am, okay.

I mean if you think about where I am right now in my life, which is crazy—I'm not going

to say this to brag, but I do want you to realize, at one point, I was hoping to become

a programmer someday and I just would love to just become a programmer.

Then at one point, I was like, "Oh, if I could just work for myself or if I could retire,

if I could"—you know.

All these things.

"If I could get in shape, if I could have six-pack abs."

I got them now.

Have these things.

At the point where I'm at in my life it's kind of insane.

I mean literally like I don't have to work if I don't want to, like I have passive

income coming in.

I've got more than I need.

I've got non-passive income coming in.

I live on the beach.

If I do want to work, which I am working, it's making YouTube videos.

It's like standing in front of the camera and talking, and managing my team and doing

a lot of fun stuff like creative kind of stuff, yeah, I have some emails and stuff like that,

but I don't even have to, right?

I mean it's like for a living, I can make good money, better money than most people

make by like writing books and blog posts and making YouTube videos, and doing kind

of fun—I mean crazy kind of stuff with no schedule, no boss, nothing.

I'm in the best physical shape I've ever been in my life.

Like I said, just so many good things are going for me and yet, I can still feel like

I'm unmotivated, I don't like my life, I don't—all these—I can have those feelings.

I don't have those feelings all the time, but I have those feelings from time to time

and I can have those feelings.

The thing is like this and this is where I'm kind of going with this, is that like you

have this idea in your mind that when you get this, when you get that girl, when you

finally get laid for some of you guys out there, when you finally get that job, when

you finally make that money, when you finally retire, when you finally, finally, finally

get that Lamborghini, whatever it is that you're going to be happy, that this is what

you really want.

What you find a lot of times when you get that—I mean look at P's condition here.

He's a blind developer in Iran.

I mean I don't know if you guys know, but I get plenty of emails from developers in

Iran.

I send them a lot of free shit sometimes because they can't even buy anything.

They can't even buy my products.

I have to like give them or they have to get a bootleg version of it.

I'm like, "Okay, go for it."

I mean it's so restrictive.

This guy, he comes here.

He gets this job in Netherlands.

It's a dream job.

He's making a lot of—I mean just to overcome the obstacles of being a blind developer.

I mean gosh.

He said, "I did the impossible."

He did the fucking impossible.

You do all this stuff and you hit your dream, and you think that that's going to be it.

You're going to be awesome and you're going to be happy, but you're not because it's not—again—we

have a good hint of wisdom here in P's email where he says that the striving forward.

I want to see if I can find the point in the email where he said that—okay.

He said, "The point is I did the impossible.

I literally pushed through something that sighted people rarely even attempt and I did

it just for fun."

Oh, man.

Screensaver, come on.

Right at the time.

All right.

"Not for reaching a goal.

Not for being a superstar.

I seriously enjoy every single minute of it.

I had a clear goal and I was enjoying the process going there."

That's the thing like when you look at that, he had this goal and what he enjoyed was that

process of getting there, of getting to the goal, of getting that job with XYZ company,

getting out of Iran, getting this awesome job, and going to that hard interview process,

all the while being blind and he did it.

What he enjoyed was not the success.

He didn't enjoy being there and having it.

He enjoyed the pursuit of the impossible dream, of the impossible goal.

We're all like that to some degree.

Again, it's pain when you're doing it, but when you look back and you see the thing that

you enjoy, it was that pursuit.

When you lose that pursuit because you think you're just trying to achieve the goal or

you achieved that goal, depression comes.

I've talked about this a lot on this channel because I want you guys to understand a couple

of things.

One, is that like you do not put it all on achieving the goal because achieving the thing,

whatever, be it sex, be it money, be it fitness, whatever you think that is that when you achieve

that thing in life that you're going to be happy.

It's wrong.

You're probably going to be more depressed by it and you're going to be super depressed

by it if you are putting everything on that outcome and expecting that when you get there,

you'll have arrived.

You'll never arrive.

Not only that, but you're just going to go through dips in life and you're just going

to go through these valleys, and you're going to have mountains, you're going to have valleys.

What you'll find is that when you're pursuing a goal, that is when you're the most live.

That's when you have the most ambition and you have the most fun, and you enjoy it the

most rather than when you're enjoying the results of the goal that you pursue.

Does that make sense?

You see what I'm saying?

Again, my advice to you, my advice to me is to pick a goal and to pursue that goal.

Now, you can't always be hammering the goal everytime, but the more that you're pursuing

the goal and the more that you're advancing and making progress towards the goal—life

is about progress.

You know, Tony Robbins really talks about this a lot in his seminars, in his content.

He talks about this idea that growth, that life is growth.

If you're not growing, you're dying, is one thing he says all the time.

The thing is like we as human beings, we're wired to want to experience growth.

When we feel like we're growing, when we're feeling like we're going towards and we're

making progress, that's when we're feeling alive.

When we feel like we're not, we've already achieved the thing and we should be enjoying

it, we can't enjoy.

Like I said, I can speak from personal experience because I was shooting so long for this goal

of retiring.

You can check out my video on what it's like to earn a million dollars, to make a million

dollars, which I've talked about this a lot.

By the way, click the card in the description below to get access to any of those videos.

I was trying to get to that point.

Look at what I'm doing now.

I couldn't just sit there.

I can't be—I know that—part of me still says, "Oh, maybe you should just like do nothing,

John, and just have fun and play video games."

Maybe I'll play this Oculus Rift today.

I think I'm going to, but, anyway, you know, part of me says that, but I know that I can't

be happy just doing that.

I have to be shooting for the next thing and I have to be improving.

That's why—again, like I tell you guys, the purpose of this channel, the thing that

I'm trying to communicate to you, really the overarching goal of this channel, is to get

you to understand that you need to be constantly improving yourself, constantly perfecting

yourself, constantly striving to become a better and better version of yourself because

that is life, and that's the thing that's going to carry you through life always.

If I'm not doing that, I'm not happy in life.

You're not either.

If you're not growing, you're dying.

What is my advice then to P here in this situation?

It's basically this.

It's like look, you need to change things up a little bit.

You need to start a new goal.

You need to figure out what your goal is and you need to aim for that, but you need to

remember this time that it's the journey, that it's the process, that it's the pounding

out the time and the effort.

Whatever it is, pick a goal and aim for it, and let the real overarching goal, the one

that you'll never achieve, be that eternal progression.

The progression of your soul, the progression of yourself.

Developing yourself through your work, through your expression, through whatever you're doing,

through your relationships.

Developing and strengthening yourself.

If you view it that way, then the goal changes.

I'll give you an example.

Again, when I did that 90-day challenge, I can't say for sure, but if I had viewed that

as just a stepping stone that's going to take me to—that's not done, that that is going

to get me to a point and this is the race that I'm running now, but then that's going

to be the starting line of another race.

I thought about a next 90-day challenge after that or next thing that I was going to accomplish.

I want to get this done so I can move on to that one and I'm making progress.

If I thought in that frame of mind, then I probably wouldn't have been disappointed

and disillusioned after achieving that.

I probably wouldn't have gone on binge eating and ruined a lot of the results that I got

from that.

My advice, again, is basically do that, is pick a goal and realize that it is a journey

like you already know here, but also to just realize that life is going to be full of dips

and you're not going to feel motivated all the time.

Sometimes you're just going to be dragging your knuckles just trying to get through it,

but do it.

Don't jeopardize it.

Don't self-destruct.

Don't destroy everything you've created just because you don't feel it right now.

I'll tell you, if you quit this job, if you're like, "Oh, fuck it," if you put in the effort

and you lose this job and you lose the opportunity that you've had here, whoa, someday you're

going to be kicking yourself.

Just hold on to what you got.

Sometimes you got to hold the line.

I did this video on holding the line and that's all you can do, and that's fine.

If you got to hold the line, but just recognize that this is going to be a battle you're always

going to face.

If you know this is a battle you're always going to face, then you can prepare for it

and fight it a little bit better.

If this comes as a surprise, if you think everything's all supposed to be great and

dandy and when you hit your goals, and you get the stuff that you want in life, you're

supposed to be happy.

If you think that's how it's supposed to work, you're going to be really miserable.

If you realize that it's not about that, that it's something different, it's something bigger

and that the part of growing as a person is fighting these battles and struggling, and

coming out the other end, that's the thing.

Again, I can tell you from my own personal experience just from this past week, when

I woke up in the morning this morning at 5:45 AM, I went for my fucking five-mile run that

I didn't feel like doing, I just tell myself, "All right, John.

You got to do this shit.

You got to get through this shit.

You got to do this.

You got to"—it doesn't matter whether you see the future.

You feel like doing this or not.

You just got to make it.

Got to make it.

This is the battle.

This is the fight.

There's no rest.

You just keep on fighting.

Keep on fighting, brother.

Keep on fighting.

Hysterical Movie Moments That Weren't In The Script - Duration: 4:39.

Movies, as they say, are magic.

But sometimes it takes more than a well-written script to make it work once the cameras start

rolling.

Sometimes, Hollywood's top talents rely on improv and luck to create some of the most

memorable scenes in film history.

Here are some of the most hysterical movie moments that weren't in the script.

It might not get quoted as often as Anchorman

or Step Brothers, but that doesn't mean The Other Guys doesn't have some hilarious moments.

"If I were a lion and you were a tuna I would swim out to the middle of the ocean to friggin

eat you!"

Co-writer and director Adam McKay explained that this scene — where two dumb cops imagine

a battle royale between predators from two very different ecosystems, came from him posing

a very simple question to Will Ferrell: "how would a tuna fight a lion?"

"and guess what?

You've wandered into our school of tuna and we now have a taste of line, we've talked

to ourselves.

We've communicated.

And said, 'You know what?

Lion tastes good.'

After a couple of takes, Ferrell came up with

a pretty convincing answer: "We will construct a series of breathing apparatus

with kelp.

It's not going to be days at a time, but an hour?

Hour 45?

No problem!"

Ben Stiller may have got a little too into

his role as the idiotic male model in Zoolander.

The scene where David Duchovny explains the villain's evil plot to use male models as

trained assassins was made a million times funnier by a simple mistake.

At first, Stiller gets things right: "So why male models?"

Ben Stiller was listening so intently to Duchovny's minute-long monologue, he completely lost

track of his lines.

So, when there was a moment of silence and everyone was staring at Stiller to speak,

he just, well, repeated his first line: "But why male models?"

Leading Duchovny to offer some amazing improv in response:

"You serious?

I just…

I just told you that a moment ago.

" "Right"

Nepotism was in full swing on the set of Goodfellas

but, for once, it made for an excellent choice.

Director Martin Scorsese cast his real mother to play Tommy DeVito's mom in Goodfellas.

During the dinner scene, Tommy and his gangster friends stop by his mom's house to pick up

a shovel to bury a body, when his mom insists they all have a full dinner before going back

out.

Scorsese didn't tell his mom that the characters had a body in the trunk — he just told her

that her film son was coming home — played by Joe Pesci, and she's going to make them

some dinner.

So, going into the scene, Mrs. Scorsese only knew she'd be talking to her son and his friends,

and that she'd show them a painting she made.

"Look at this."

"Ah that's beautiful."

"I like this.

One dog goes one way and the other dog goes the other way."

"One is going east and the other is going west."

Everything from Tommy's explanation why he had blood all over his shirt…

"tonight we were out late and we took a ride out to..

Out to the country and and hit one of those deer's that's where the blood came from Jimmy

told you before."

To Mrs. Scorsese's perfectly told story about the guy who doesn't talk:

"What am I gonna say?

That my wife two times me?

So she says to him, 'Shut up, you're always talking.'"

All of it was improvised.

She easily steals the scene from DeNiro, Liotta, and Pesci.

Who wouldn't watch a movie starring Tommy's mom all on her own, just cooking dinner for

mobsters?

There's a famous scene in Annie Hall where

Woody Allen's character, Alvy, is learning all about the seedier side of life:

"How much is this stuff on the inside?"

"It's about $2000 an ounce."

But while rehearsing the scene, this moment was a total accident.

"Ah choo!"

It seemed to work so well that they left it in and put it in the actual film.

And once people went nuts at a test screening over the moment, Allen knew the accidental

allergy attack from rehearsal would have to stay in the final cut.

Improv master Bill Murray can usually be counted

on to make any movie better just by being in it.

Tootsie already had an amazing cast, but Murray still stands out as a wannabe playwright.

During the party scene, where Murray discusses his beliefs about theater, there was literally

no script at all.

Murray was just told to talk...and so he did.

"I don't want a full house at the Winter Garden theatre.

L'Aposta. Capítol 06. - Duration: 14:04.

Good morning Navaixes.

A potato omelette sandwich.

What about this tree?

Are you hitchhiking?

-Yes. - And do you ask for accommodation, right?

- Usually they offered it to me...

- At the end they say: Would you like to stay for the night?

- So brave, girl!

This is my ... goal ... now.

- Hello…

- Do you need something?

- No ... I was walking and...

...a man will take me to a village ...

- Where are you going?

- I want to go to Chulilla or Sot de Chera ...

... but he told me that it is impossible ...

... so he'll drop me in Altura ...

- Is that guy in red? ...

- Yes, that man in red is going there.

- Did he tell you he's going to take you?

- Yes, he told me he's going to take me ... why?

- Do you know the man ...?

- No, and that's why. I didn't seen him before.

- Really if you go on foot...

... what you want is to take the fast track...

- You're coming to Altura then?

- Well, no, don't worry

- Over here it's impossible go to Chulilla.

- I was looking for the best way ...

- Form Altura to Villar del Arzobispo and Casinos..

- And it's easier. Other way it's impossible.

- Well, no, don't worry

- It's better he didn't take you..

- Do you know him?

- He's a conflicted guy here.

- When I've seen him from the back

- I leave you here at the entrance.

- Thank you very much.

- Thanks, bye.

I was kidding, man.

- Over here I'm going well?

- It's that way - This way isn't it?

- To Alcublas.

I won't move from here!

I won't move from here! There is shadow.

I'm going to change the strategy...

...because no one goes to Chulilla.

I'm going to write Alcublas.

I was recommended to write Alcublas.

- Can I go with you, please?

- How many are you going? - Only me ... and the backpack.

- I can talk five languages ... - Wow, lucky you!

- But here we speak Castilian.

- I don't care, I can talk to you whatever you want ...

- Hunting there ... you can find all kinds of animals ...

- ... deer, roe deer, mouflon, ...

- ... wild boar, rabbits, hares, eagles, whatever you want ...

This is a very small village...,

... that is in the natural park of Sort of Chera.

- Quiet, I'm fine...

... quietly, outdoors...

... I'm in a cool place.

- I'm in the laundries...

- ... next to water, okay?

- Thank you so much..., goodbye.

The man just called me ...

Mr. ... Vicent ...

... he was very kind ...

... he's been very kind to me.

... but I can't help but think...

... I would be cautius…

The man was nice…

He said me: If you want you could clean my house, ...

... because I live alone...

On exchange I'll give you money, so you get some… it's a trade

But, I don't know if…

I do not know what to do...

Don't think of it anymore, Lorena!

If you got a bad feeling about him...

...Cut it out,!! Run!

I think I'm not going to stay ...

... and I'll see if I can get to ...

... Villar del Arzobispo ...

... or Chulilla.

... which was my first thought from the start.

Hello everyone, I'm leaving the town of Alcublas ...

... because I didn't like the smell of the man...

I wanted you to see...

... the man's missages...

...maybe he has ...

...good will...

...but this man had ...

...a lot of interest...

... in inviting me to his house. That didn't give me good feeling.

I do not know if you can see well enough ...

He said me: What music do you like? ...

...since I wouldn't answer, he ask:...

Didn't you have credit?...

... and again he offered me drink some refreshment at home ...

Whenever I want...

I haven't answered...

...and I'm on my way to anywhere.

I'm on the Albufera road...

I'm in a quiet area, really...

Initially I should go ...

... to the Festival, to the Iboga.

And I'm going to see if there's someone...

...on the way and ...

...I'm going to see my friends...

... I'm sure they'll be very surprised.

So, let's see if I'm lucky!

We are waiting for youuuu!!!

I'm going to the Iboga with Bárbara and Andrea...

...they'll take me to...

...to the rest of the Iboga mates.

That's where ... the accreditation.

- She has a press accreditation ... The Bet.

I have a press card ... The Bet.

I already have my accreditation. It's done.

I am very hungry.

Look what a piece of paella.

For one day, that's it!

Víctor, stop massaging ..

Do you think I'm going to get The bet?

Of course.

I believe you'll achieve it. And whoever has bet, will loose.

We're going to have something,

because she has gather her strength

Time for dinner!

Good night!

It was very hot in the campsite.

- He takes me to Xàtiva. - Xàtiva! . Xàtiva! . Xàtiva!

I've met the neighbors and they're taking me to ...

They are from Yecla ...

...but they'll take me to Xàtiva.

- Tell me your first and last name

- Víctor Muñoz García

- I'm also Muñoz.

- We are family.

- Enrique Ortega. - Really?

- Well, I'm Lorena Muñoz Ortega.

Daughter of Víctor Muñoz and Enrique Ortega ...

- Thank you very much.

- Have a fun trip back home

How to Make a Small Bedroom Look Bigger - Duration: 5:47.

Sometimes a small bedroom can feel more like a cave than a cozy refuge.

If a space lacks natural light, smart storage and the right color palette.

Small bedrooms are uniquely difficult to design and decorate because of one essential piece

of large furniture: the bed.

However, just because you have a large bed in a small room, that doesn't mean you have

to sacrifice your sense of style and, more importantly, sense of space.

By following some simple bedroom design rules and color schemes, you'll be amazed how

quickly a room transforms.

If you're not blessed with a decent sized bedroom, we've got a few tricks that will

help make your shoebox bedroom feel like a spacious sanctuary.

We have put together a list of 25 simple answers to the timeless question: how do you make

a small bedroom look bigger?

From simple touch ups to complete bedroom redesigns, read on to find solutions that

work for your bedroom.

How To Paint Your Walls To Make Any Space Look Bigger

1) Paint your walls light colors

The reason this works is simply because lighter colors will reflect the light, making it seem

brighter and roomier.

Darker paint absorbs light, which will feel smaller and more constricting.

In this bedroom, the walls are painted a light, lively blue color, making this small room

feel much larger.

When thinking about your bedroom design, try to stay away from dark colors.

2) Monochromatic Paint

Coordination is an important feature of any room design and the best place to start is

with your paint.

Use monochromatic paint colors throughout the room to create fluidity and space.

Painting the room with different or opposite colors will segment off portions of the room

when viewing, making it feel smaller.

This small room uses shades of blue to coordinate the flow of color.

Make Your Bedroom Look Bigger With Furniture

3) Use space-saving furniture

Not all small bedroom design ideas are optical illusions.

Obviously, the less furniture that you have in your bedroom, the bigger it will look.

A simple solution would be raising your bed with risers and then storing your clothes

beneath.

You can also purchase beds with built in storage beneath, like the bed pictured here.

But, don't stop there, get creative with the rest of your small room design ideas.

Utilize folding desks and chairs and store them when you aren't using them.

4) Avoid excessive furniture You don't always need two bedside tables,

especially in a small room.

This tip is relatively simple on paper, but somewhat harder in practice.

It is always nice to have extra things to make your life easier, but if space is an

issue, less furniture will make your room seem much bigger.

By keeping the bed on the floor and using only one small table as the only piece of

furniture, this small bedroom looks much bigger.

5) Keep low to the ground Stay away from tall chairs and tables in your

small bedroom design, and definitely get rid of the high headboard.

By keeping things low to the ground, you are creating more space above, which keeps the

wall cleaner and ceiling seem higher.

The bedroom pictured here has smaller ceiling, but by keeping the bed on the ground, it makes

the bedroom

look and

feel much bigger.

Kids Describe Made Up Animal to Koji the Illustrator | Kids Describe | HiHo Kids - Duration: 6:52.

- Can you show Marino what a kitten looks like?

- Meow. (scratches table) Meow!

(chill music)

- Hi Koji!

- Hi Crystal.

- Hi, I miss you.

- Oh, I missed you too.

Do you like drawing?

- Yes, I really like it.

- What kind of stuff do you like to draw?

- Dogs, I really like to draw animals--

- Oh nice, I think you're going to like

what we're doing today then.

- What are we drawing?

- We're gonna draw a made-up animal.

You can mash together animals or make up a totally new one.

And we'll just try and imagine what that would look like.

- Okay. (both laugh)

- Maybe we could have like a cat that had a mermaid tail

with puppy dog ears and then have a unicorn horn and wings.

- Okay, so it's a cat with puppy dog ears.

- Mm-hmm. - We'll start there.

Okay, so a cat face--

- I mean a kitten with a puppy ears.

- Oh a kitten? Okay.

So it's got the big eyes, it's like a little baby.

- So, it has like a lump on the head

and then long like a curved beak.

- Okay, so like that kind of, and it was like...

- [Boy] Yeah.

- That's pretty cool.

- Let's do a cute turtle head.

- A turtle head? - Yeah.

- Okay so a turtle head is kinda like that, right?

- You know that head looks more like a lizard than a turtle.

- Here, I'll give him a goofier smile,

maybe that will make him look more like a turtle.

- It has some hair running down right there.

- Oh, he has like a beard?

- (giggles) It's like a beard.

- (laughs) Okay.

- There would be like an emerald there

and then there would be,

in the center, there would be a diamond.

- That's pretty fancy.

- Maybe a fuzzy body.

- A fuzzy body, so-- - Yeah, like a fuzzball.

- Okay.

- [Boy] And put the shell like behind it to prove--

- Oh, there's a shell on the back

and the rest of it is fuzzy?

- Yeah.

- I was thinking of maybe it walking around

with having a tutu.

- Okay, so it's like a cat but it's also wearing a tutu.

- He has the body of a horse, it can be flying.

- Yeah? - Yeah.

- So it's got wings as well?

- Yeah. It's kinda like an angel slash unicorn slash dragon.

- And then where the shirt, where the two hands come out--

- Oh, it has a shirt on, too?

- Yeah, which painting, I love dogs, cats, and unicorns.

- I love...

- Puppies, cats, and unicorns, 'cause that's what she is.

- Okay.

- Maybe the right arm could be like holding

like a Coke or something?

- A Coke? Okay. - Yeah.

- He's got his coke in that hand.

- Mm-hmm, he just got back from the vending machine,

got a Coke, he's going back to his car, you know.

- Okay, so he's got the keys.

- [Boy] Yeah.

- Like half of it's body is a zebra and then

half of it is a giraffe, so like, spots on one side.

- So this is the zebra over here.

It's got kind of the stripes or whatever.

- Yeah.

- Maybe wear some underwear, you know?

- Some underwear? - Yeah.

- Okay.

- Just do both the legs flamingo, that would be cool.

- So, flamingo legs like, they're like that.

- [Boy] Very tall. - Really long?

- [Boy] Yeah, really long.

- And then back here there's like a tail going around.

- A tail? (laughs)

- And then like right here would be like a little hoof,

so that they don't drag the tail.

- (laughs) Okay, so, it's like a kickstand.

- The tail could be like a bunny.

- Oh, do you wanna give him a bunny tail?

- Yeah, like right there.

- Okay, like that? Or bigger?

- [Boy] That. - That. Okay.

- Butterfly wings on the side.

- Okay yeah, and they have like the pattern kinda stuff--

- Yeah, the pattern.

Our animal looks so weird.

- (laughs) Oh yeah, this is pretty cool.

- And she has a motorcycle she rides on. (giggles)

- A motorcycle?

Okay, so these will be the handlebars here.

- And they go (sings) playing her keyboard.

(Koji laughs)

(girl sings)

- I'll make a little keyboard here too.

What do you think this animal eats?

- It eats animals and they get the body of that animal.

- Okay, so they like absorb some of their qualities?

- Yeah, so it has a lot of things in it.

- (laughs) Yeah.

What is this animal called?

- A Meow-ruff-corn.

- A Meow-ruff-corn?

- The Coca-cola Monster.

- What should we name it--

- Angel Dragon Thing-and-a-bob

- Thing-and-a-bob? - Yeah.

- Does it hatch from an egg or like where does it come from?

- It comes from when a star goes super nova

it creates it--

- Oh, so like a star explodes, - Yeah, supernova.

- And then the stardust reassembles into one of these.

- Mmhmm. - Okay.

(laughs) So they're actually aliens then.

(girl giggles) Little musical space cat.

- You know it is very rare for Coca-cola monsters

to drink Dr. Pepper.

- Oh, yeah, is that, that's bad for them, right?

- If they drink anything else like water or milk

or something, they could die in like five minutes.

- What kind of noise do you think this animal makes?

- (growls then hums then neighs then squeaks) Hi.

- So this one has eaten some human then.

- He ate a whole man. He's like hey.

Hey guys, what are you running from? (stabbing noise)

- How many are there?

- Only one, it's an-dangerous species, poor meow-ruff-corn.

- Yeah, we have to protect the meow-ruff-corn, huh.

- Mm-hmm.

- Okay, anything else?

- [Boy] Nope think that's good.

- Ready? - Yup.

- Presenting, my made-up animal called the Thingamabob!

- A meow-ruff-corn and his favorite song is (sings).

- So, he has butterfly wings, he has antlers.

- Dragon, angel, oh yeah, and human.

- Bearded human.

- Thank you.

- Yeah, thank you, that was fun. (laughs)

(high-fives) Nice, oh I didn't know that one.

Wait, teach me this.

- Tra-la-la-la-la-la-la.

- Tra-la-la-la-la-la-la.

- Bye. - Bye!

Mouthwatering KOREAN FOOD TOUR in SEOUL, South Korea - dakgalbi, fried chicken + MORE! - Duration: 25:14.

Seoul is a food paradise and if you love to eat you have got to check out this

video

we're taking you on a huge food tour of some delicious and popular

Korean dishes

you've got to check out the amazing local Korean food we eat in

this video make sure you watch right to the end so you don't miss out on these

mouth-watering dishes

I'm Thomas and I'm Sheena and we're Chasing a Plate, we hope

you're hungry let's eat

we're gonna grab some chimaek or fried chicken and beer

this is an absolute favourite in Korea and we really love these traditional

places lets go get some

we've ordered a couple of handles of beer this is an ice cold Cass one of my

favourite beers to have when in Korea it's really, a simple beer, a very Asian beer

I like to think of it just great for just drinking, it goes down really easily

but the star of the show is this chicken so I love these restaurants because you

order a whole chicken but they're very small so you can see the leg there

like it's tiny there's nothing to it we've got those golden, two chickens here

actually this two whole chickens which have pretty much been double fried so

they're sitting out the front of the restaurant in big piles of chicken and

then when you order they re-fry them so they get really golden and

crispy and then they just get whacked with scissors into pretty much quarters and

then piled onto your plate with nothing more than a little bit of salt on the

side and the thing I love about these restaurants and this golden chicken is

how simple this is for fried chicken often Korean fried chicken or chimaek so

fried chicken and beer it's sort of tricked up a little bit so small bits of

chicken with a honey sauce or a sweet soy sauce or you know something like

that going on, this is in its purity just batter, fried chicken and a beer oh and

we've got some some pickled radish to go with it which cuts through the through

the fried chicken perfectly but let's try some of this chicken so I've got a

little leg here it's super crispy feeling, I've just gotta dive in

ohhh, ohhh

crunchy on the outside but then super juicy that flesh, it's so juicy just

falls off the bone oh that is so good you can see how juicy

it looks, let's have another big bite of this look oh look at that

oh that's gonna be good, oh man it's definitely oily but it's not over oily like

fried chicken should be, oh that is good and of course a sip of beer to go with it

ohhhhhh oh this is a good meal let's grab one

of these radishes so these are just cubed and then pickled in a brine or

pickled in a vinegar and sugar syrup let's get a one little cube pop

that in it's gonna be nice and crunchy and tangy, mmm perfect, cuts through the fattiness from the

chicken, I've gotta have one more big bite, let's just rip this apart, oh look at

that we'll dip it in that salt that they give you so a little bit of a dip on the

edge pop it in oh man

Oh that is good, so juicy this is such a great way to have it and these restaurants are

often quite buzzy filled with middle-aged men this one's not actually

filled like that at the moment but that is how you'll notice these, chickens out

the front on the street, filled with guys drinking often soju and beer at the same

time- perfect combo here in Korea and piles of fried chicken on their table

these restaurants are all over Seoul but we will put directions to this one down

below like we always do, oh this is a good plate of fried chicken

our next stop is for one of my favourite Korean dishes and one that you have to

try too when you're in South Korea it's called

sundubu jjigae which is soft tofu stew let's go and grab a bowl

"annyeonghaseyo"

our bubbling stone pots of sundubu jjigae or soft tofu stew has arrived and holy moly it

looks so good, you can see here these soft curds of fresh soft tofu

they look so wobbly and silky there's a tonne of chilli or chilli paste which has

been used to make the stew there's some spring onions oh look at that chilli oil

whoa this is gonna pack a punch and what I ordered was the seafood one so there

should be some seafood hanging about okay so I can spot an oyster there and

what else have we got, whoa look at how beautiful the tofu just

breaks apart okay all I can see is oysters at this stage but there's bound

to be something in there alright let's just try this, this is one of my

favourite dishes in Korea it is so warming, it's belly warming and it's so satisfying

especially when it's minus three degrees in Seoul

all right let's just try this stew, so this is just the soup bit ohhhh it's

fiery and it's also very hot so the dish is actually assembled in the pot and

cooked in the pot, let's give this soft tofu a go, it's just, it looks like curds

actually let's try it

mmmm, mmm, mmm mmmmm

it's really really soft and it just breaks apart in your mouth that is so satisfying so with the

sundubu jiigae meal we also got some rice and then also banchan and at this

restaurant you can go and help yourself to as much banchan or side dishes as

you like so here we've got some mustard greens which has got some sesame seeds

in it I can see, there's some kimchi so fermented pickled cabbage, there's some gim

or dried seaweed and then there's some rolled omelet, let's just give this tofu stew

another go, I'm gonna try some of that seafood so let's grab one of these

oysters give it a bit of a blow because it's very very hot, all right let's try this

it's quite a small oyster, ohhh it just bursts with flavour, it's also soaked up a little bit of that soup

so it's got a nice fiery

taste from that chilli but then it's got just a really beautiful smooth seafood

taste just that real hit of oyster flavour that is so good, we've got to get

into this, this sticky rice and these banchan are gonna go perfect with this bowl of soft tofu stew

and as I was

digging around in my sundubu jjigae I found an egg so they must have cracked a

raw egg into the stew as it was cooking let's just break it...whoaaaaa look at that yolk

it is perfectly cooked oh my gosh that is gonna add so much creaminess to the

sundubu jiigae I can't wait to get in

next up we're gonna pop into this

restaurant for a very popular Korean dish, samgyetang or ginseng chicken

let's go check it out

we've got this steaming hot bowl of ginseng chicken in

front of us and look at it sitting in this stone bowl so it's very hot

swimming in this broth which looks like a really nice chicken-y broth and then

the chicken itself has just been poached in that broth you can see it's a very

small, small bird I'll just turn it round because it's actually stuffed so you can

see there the big ginseng root sticking out the back of the chicken and I think

there'll be rice inside there as well you can see how they've sealed it by

crossing its legs, over tucking them all in and then on top we've got some sesame

seeds, some sunflower seeds, some pumpkin seeds I can actually see some pine nuts

swimming around in the broth here and then there's just some green onions cut

on top or some spring onions and that's it so let's try the broth to start off

give it a go

whoa it's really hot oh but it's really good I had a pinenut

in there so that was kind of creamy cause it's been sitting in the broth it's got

a great chicken taste, I'm just gonna have a bit more but I'm gonna blow on it this time

so I can taste it a bit more, oh it's got a great chicken-y taste that broth but it's

not over the top, there's sort of a herbaceous taste going on in there as

well from that ginseng let's rip into this chicken, whoa

yes look at the stuffing, so it looks like there's some some dates in there

some red dates oh that's just breaking apart when I touch it, so that's

the brown colour you're seeing, there's lots of that sticky rice going on and

then there's that big ginseng root which is hiding in under the broth there I

just want to get a big spoon got a nice piece of chicken, got some rice some

seeds and some date let's go

bit of a bone sorry ohhh the chicken is so tender, the flavours in this are really

amazing because they're, they're very simple there's no massive bold hits of

flavour just a nice chicken flavour, it's not over-the-top it just has

those herbs and the rice flavour, the date it's all there but it's not

overpowering, now I want to try because there's a bit of a like

selection of banchan so some cabbage kimchi and some radish kimchi on the

table but there's this spicy sauce so I want to get a little bit of this sauce

and pop it in my little container over here and they always give you salt and

pepper on the table so I'm gonna put a bit of that in with that sauce just mix it

around create like a little, a little swimming pool just so I can try and

liven up a mouthful so I'll wrap a big bit of breast off the chicken, got that

we'll get some broth on my spoon, dunk the chicken into that sauce, look at that

just a little mouthful let's give that a go

whoa now that, that takes it up a level the, the chilli paste has a

little bit of a sweetness a little tang and spice from the chilli, it's not hot

at all but it just has a little tang of heat, the chicken, because it's such a

simple flavour it just takes on that, that chilli sauce so well, the chicken's a

little bit chewy to be honest but I think once you combine this all up and make

sure you eat it with some broth and mouthfuls of rice, it is a beautiful

dish and so warming in this heat but it's actually a dish they eat in summer more

because they believe the ginseng helps when your body's hot like in the hot

weather but it's perfect in winter too, when we're here now and I think minus

2 degrees under freezing today so it works a treat

something else this dish

came with is this ginseng liquor so I'm gonna have a little sip of this and see

how it is, ohhhhh yeah that's strong, that's got a good little kick of alcohol it actually

tastes like a whisky, sort of a mild whisky, oh that's gonna be

really good as a combination just little sips of that every now and then just to

warm up the tongue and keep those taste buds alive, really good meal, simple but

great flavours you know, the flavours are what they are, really really tasty

and that broth there's not gonna be any left when we're done with this meal because

it's great

food next stop on our Seoul food tour is for a dish of dakgalbi

which is a spicy marinated stir-fried chicken dish

so this is dakgalbi! You can see here that it is marinated chicken so this chicken has been marinated in

this red sauce and it's a gochujang based sauce gochujang is a fermented

chilli paste that is really prevalent in Korean cooking and then there's a tonne

of vegetables in here so there's some cabbage and there's perilla leaves and

basically you just cook it at the table so we're sitting here, traditional style

cross-legged on the floor with these low tables and then we've got the huge hot

plate in front of us and it is just sizzling away and the smell coming off

of this thing are amazing

so that sauce is just coating all of those ingredients and I've also spied some

rice cakes in there as well as some slices of sweet potato, now what is

really special about this restaurant is that for the chicken they only use

chicken drumstick meat so that's supposed to mean that the chicken is gonna be super

tender I cannot wait to try it, so you can see

that all the vegetables have wilted down and everything is just coated in that

gochujang sauce I'm gonna go right in and just grab a piece of that chicken

and try it cause it looks so good, let's try it

that chicken is so tender, that piece had a bit of the skin attached to

it so you've got the fattiness of the skin and then

that meat is just so soft, it's got a really nice coating of

that gochujang sauce so it's a little bit spicy, a little bit sweet, quite savoury

we've also got these lettuce wraps here so what I'm gonna do is just grab one of these and make

myself a bit of a wrap so I'm gonna get some cabbage and another piece of that

chicken and then I'm gonna add this piece of raw garlic here and then round

here we've also got some different banchan or sides so this here are some

chives I think covered in what looks to be sesame seeds and also some chilli

sauce so I'm gonna add those to my lettuce wrap as well and give that a

go, it's gonna be a really huge mouthful

I might have to do it in two

bites

that is brilliant, the lettuce is really crunchy you've

got the zing from the garlic and then that chicken and that cabbage is just so tasty

just really infused with that chilli sauce, this is one delicious dish so

there's a second phase to dakgalbi and that is to take what you have left

of your chicken and cabbage and vegetable mixture and to add some rice

to it, so what the guy has done is he's added a bowl of rice together with some

dried seaweed and chopped up lettuce and he's chopped up the remaining chicken

and cabbage that was in our pot and then mixed it all up and flattened it so it's

almost like a chicken and rice pancake and it's bubbling away in our

pan right now

the chicken fried rice pancake has been sizzling away for about a minute

and I reckon it's ready so I'm just gonna grab a spoonful of that and give it a

go

mmmm wow that seaweed flavour is really strong the rice has gone almost sticky

and crunchy that is such an awesome ending to this dakgalbi feast

and we came to this restaurant because it's actually Michelin recommended and I

can see why, this was an amazing dakgalbi feast

another meal you have got to eat when you're in South Korea is Korean BBQ, let's go and get our barbecue

feast on

so we've sat down at our table and with Korean barbecue you cook the meat yourself

so there'll always be a grill on the

table so as soon as we sat down the staff came and popped some piping hot coals

into the middle of the table and now it's time to check out the menu

all right so it's all go, beers have arrived, they've been poured

and our banchan has arrived, banchan are side dishes so we've got a whole range here

we've got some cabbage and some spring onions I think in a chilli sauce

there's some perilla leaves, some onion, some lettuce, some chilli

the leaves are usually used for wraps, we've got some soup which has got some seaweed

we've got some dipping sauces, some mustard greens and then some cabbage kimchi

now Korean barbecue is always a raucous affair

you can probably hear behind me the background noise so everyone's laughing

everyone's drinking, you've got the sizzle of the meat on the grill and speaking of sizzle we've also got our meat

so we have ordered some

pork belly and also some thinly sliced marinated pork

and with Korean barbecue restaurants you'll usually find that the meat option tend to be either pork or beef

so we've got the pork belly here on the grill, look at this fat, it's just sizzling away

and I've just turned the meat so this side has become all golden, crispy and hopefully super juicy

and that's just gonna cook away

now you'll see Korean barbecues always have these big extractor fans and that's obviously just to suck up all of that smoke and smell

that's coming off the grill, it smells so good

so you'll often get given a pair of

scissors with Korean barbecue and that's just so that you can cut the meat up

into bite size pieces and it makes it easier to wrap the meat up in the lettuce

I reckon the pork is ready, it's all crispy, it's golden so it's time to eat

so I'm gonna start with a wrap, I'm gonna grab one of these perilla leaves

and then grab a piece of that juicy looking pork, pop it in the leaf, grab some of this ssamjang

so ssamjang is fermented soybean paste and also

chilli, so I'm just gonna swipe...they're just changing our grills over, so you can see that where we were cooking

it's gotten all burnt so they're just popping a new

grill on so that the meat doesn't get all black and charred all right so I'm grabbing some of the ssamjang

and then I'm gonna just like, pop a whole raw garlic clove

in here as well that is going to be some fiery stuff, okay so just wrap it up

and pop it in my gob

mmmmmm mmm mmmm mmmm wow so the meat is really juicy

it's quite crispy, that ssamjang is a little bit of chilli but overall it's quite a savoury, salty flavour

and then you've got the hit of raw garlic, that perilla leaf is quite aniseed like

so it's got a bit of a tingle and a tang going on, whoa that is really good meat

the bulgogi is looking so good on the grill so I'm gonna grab one of these perilla

leaves and make a little wrap out of this as well oh look at it, such thin pieces

of meat, so should be super tender it took almost no time to cook that up

let's get three nice pieces on there oh it's all golden we'll get some of this

ssamjang sauce this is my favourite thing because it's fermented soybean so

it's a little bit tangy, a tiny bit spicy, I'm gonna lay that all on there then

I'm gonna get some of this cabbage and chive mixture which has got chilli on it

we'll put a little bit of that on there and I'm gonna go super on this one I'm

gonna add some kimchi as well so we've got that fermented cabbage kimchi here

let's get just a little bit of that, pop that right on top of that wrap, wrap it

up make it into a little present for my mouth, let's go, one mouthful

oh man, mmm, whoa, it was a big mouthful, that meat is incredible

it is so tender, the pork belly that

Sheena had, dried out quite quickly it's an incredible flavour bit it's

a little bit tougher then that meat, that meat is just as soft as butter

unbelievable the taste of the perilla leaf, I've got a

half here, quite an interesting looking leaf and Sheena

spoke about the taste of these an aniseed flavour and it's a strong flavour

the reason we have a half here is because sometimes you just want to have a half because

it's a strong flavour, it's really tasty, what I love about this restaurant and

most of these restaurants you can always ask for more of anything that's on the,

on the banchan, so all these side dishes, this restaurant has a banchan station so

you can just go and load up all of these bowls with whatever you need extra on

top of what you got initially what a mouthful, that was so good I love this way of

eating

Korean barbecue feast done you absolutely have to eat Korean barbecue
