This is a Jackson Custom Shop USA

It's a standard Randy Rhoads build

A neck-through body

Which means the whole body is one thing

One piece of wood from the tip of the headstock, till the end of the body

With no cuts or anything

This helps a lot on the guitar's sustain

For the wings we have two pieces of mohogany

Glued to the center piece

With a ebony fretboard

Stainless stell frets

EMG pickups

Floyd Rose bridge

This is basically everything Andreas uses on all of his guitars

And it's the combo we always use and works perfectly

Along with his heavy right hand

A lot of people suffered greatly for us to be here.

We're not here through privilege,

or because of any other advantage given to us.

We're here because of the opposite, because of harm done to others.

So many people tried to rise up before us and couldn't.

Their strength was drained. Their intellect, underestimated.

It's not possible that we can't have equals;

equal professionals, equals influencing society;

black people influencing society as much as white people do.

Are we that incapable? No!

We're still here, opening new paths.

And we will keep doing it

because a whole lot of powerful energy

has our backs.

And there is no system that can end that.

<i>Face it, then</i>

<i>It's now</i>

<i>Our encounter is healing</i>

<i>Decolonize your thoughts</i>

I believe that everybody has a mission.

However, based on the model of oppression,

which was made into a standard,

because it's the same everywhere you go,

what is the path to take? There is none.

How likely is it for a black girl from Bahia

to grow up to be a singer and be successful in her choices?

<i>I'm from Bahia, born in a town called Candeias,</i>

<i>and I was raised in a town called Camaçari.</i>

I lived with my parents until I was 3 years old,

then they separated and I was raised by my mom.

Black mothers are both mothers and fathers.

I moved to São Paulo in 2004, to work as a model.

I'd competed in a magazine contest, which I didn't win,

but they forwarded my material to an agency.

I met everyone and they invited me to São Paulo.

I came to work at an agency that only took on black models,

<i>because there wasn't enough demand.</i>

<i>From 2004 to 2009, when I started singing,</i>

it was a complex time for me,

in terms of understanding who I was and where I was.

I had chosen to do something that I thought I could do,

because I'd been influenced by what I saw on T.V.

and by my mom's friends, who would say,

"she's so skinny, she could be a model."

<i>That kind of thing gets into a child's mind.</i>

I believed it and I came over, but it was very hard to understand

that it may be for some people, it wasn't right for me.

I started hanging out with people I'd met when I moved here

and they invited me to be in a band.

But that was never my plan,

it hadn't crossed my mind.

<i>One of these friends kept insisting until we started rehearsing.</i>

<i>The first time I walked in a studio, I was sure.</i>

<i>It was this feeling of "I want to stay here."</i>

I haven't taken a break since.

And I stopped modelling because I realized, at that moment,

that it made no sense to expend my energy

on something that repelled me, that only told me "no,"

<i>"you shouldn't be doing this."</i>

<i>Sex is for sale, the flesh of the day, at night</i>

<i>Another woman, another end, the same pain</i>

I went to private schools when I was very young.

In middle school, I went to public schools,

and after everything, just before going to college,

I went to a private school.

All of my classmates had always gone to that school.

Our differences were very obvious.

I watched a lot of T.V. as a child,

and I saw Glória Maria being an amazing reporter,

and I got into my head that I wanted to be a journalist.

I grew up knowing it, from school all the to college.

But I ended up studying marketing.

But there is something there, because then, and for a long time,

there was only one black woman doing something important on T.V.

When I lived in Bahia,

even though blackness is more connected there,

and it's more obvious, because the majority there is black;

even though all that existed, I hadn't had contact with it.

Not like I had when I came to São Paulo.

I was very lucky to have friends close to my age,

who were black; so we got together

and experienced all of it together.

a few years later we started to question

all of our struggles, "why are we here?"

"Why don't we get more work?"

We talk about empowerment,

and I think it's very important to dissect what it means.

It means being aware of your own power

and using it to your favor, and in favor of those around you.

That's what it means, to be aware,

to own yourself and your own power.

When we own our power, even if in small scale,

even If we're just ants in the universe,

we stop giving our energy away to whomever.

I'll use it for myself.

<i>It's time to go</i>

<i>I know</i>

<i>How to own my space</i>

<i>To grow wings and write my own story</i>

Wherever there is a diaspora, we survive.

But now we don't want to survive, we want to thrive.

I am very happy with the time I'm living right now,

very honored to live among such incredible people.

That's it.

<i>I think that those who still feed off</i>

<i>of all of the unfairness in our the system,</i>

<i>they will never understand how, in spite of all the pressures,</i>

we still manage to find loopholes.

We manage to escape.

You think that if somebody who was gagged and bound to a ship

managed to escape, we won't do it?

Our escape plan has been written. We're not going back.

We're not walking backwards. The arrow only points forward.

<i>All current black icons, in their respective fields,</i>

are extremely valuable.

As Maya Angelou brilliantly said, "Everyone is important."

We need everybody. Everybody.

I once saw Mano Brown speak at a comeback concert

at Virada Cultural, after all those years,

and he said at the end that they couldn't miss anyone.

At their homecoming. They needed everybody.

That's an enormous responsibility.

Something that concerns me and almost all black people I know,

who are doing brilliant work, all of our friends;

I talk to them and I cry, "look at you now!"

"You are the success of your lineage."

<i>I'm doing mine, you're doing yours, Magá is doing hers,</i>

Diane Lima is doing hers, Loo Nascimento, everyone,

Liniker is doing hers, Tássia is doing hers.

And we're only covering the arts! Covering just one field.

Being in a field where people don't understand our issues...

...is something very stifling.

But they don't understand, they don't watch us,

they aren't with us, they don't walk with us,

they don't know what is between us.

They stay quiet, listening to us speak for an hour.

I'd like to have the right words to say what we actually feel

when our experience is delegitimized.

When all our history, all of our burdens,

both of the past and of the present,

are ignored by mere otherness, something like,

"I'm not in it, I can't see it, so I don't want to know about it."

I want people beside me

who really want to contribute to moving things forward.

<i>There's a concept of Afrofuturism.</i>

Which involves all that touches our process here.

It encompasses a technological and cosmic context,

in which I firmly believe,

and I'm always attempting to dissect its meaning.

But for me,

Afrofuturism is what we're doing now.

The smallest things we do will reverberate in big ways.

With a lot of people. Especially the small ones.

They are the key, the children are the key.

We have to protect black children.

More black children need to be given a chance.

To blossom, to look at life and go,

"life is broad, I can do whatever I want."

We need to be at every place.

So society can become

fairer and more balanced for the majority of people.

I think it's a long process, a long term investment.

And I think we're in it.

But we're not aware of the dimension,

of the sheer size of the investment we're making.

<i>I believe that our network is the fruit</i>

of this ancestral movement.

When we say ancestral, we tend to think about Orishas,

and they are there, they are Everything;

everything that exists, the forces of nature.

But I mean all the people in our DNA who we don't know.

We are being pushed.

There is a strong force pushing us forward,

and it won't let us...

...look around at things, because if we do...

...we'll get scared and we will falter.

We need to gain momentum.

I believe that's what we're doing now.

There surely is, in fact,

a force that unites us in this purpose of saying,

"I will make it. Nobody tells me I will,

everyone says the opposite, but I will make it.

I don't know how, I don't know where to start,

but I will make it."

I think that's why we cry, these tears aren't just ours.

There's too many of them, an ocean of tears.

We know that our load is very heavy.

So, when we speak, we're actually talking about that.

People may say, "you're being too radical,"

But I'm not speaking solely for myself.

<i>I'm speaking for many people.</i>

<i>Face it, then</i>

<i>Decolonize your thoughts</i>

Joy Reid Asks How NRA Members Sleep At Night, Veteran Slaps Her Straight With 2 Epic Words.

Self-righteous liberals have swarmed social media, trying to tell the world that gun owners

are evil.

Proving that most recently was a cocky MSNBC host as she asked how NRA members sleep at

night — but a veteran would slap her straight with just two epic words that rocked her world.

The left has most recently hailed a new "hero" among the resistance efforts against President

Donald Trump.

According to The New York Times, that would be none other than Joy Reid.

Of course, anyone dumb enough to watch her show and digest the misinformation she puts

out there really isn't worth having a conversation with.

Reid's main goal is short and simple — division.

Just like former President Barack Obama used to do, Reid has taken the baton.

These days, she calls just about everyone that doesn't agree with her a "racist."

Although she doesn't mind giving preferential treatment to certain races while demanding

double standards of others.

Basically, any white person calling for equality is a bigot because, well, she said so.

Although she gets quite a bit of attention from the left, she's disregarded as irrelevant

by Conservatives who can only laugh every time she tries to make an argument.

In fact, she humiliated herself most recently by trying to shame American gun owners.

Specifically targeting the NRA, Reid took to Twitter to ask, "How do its adherents

sleep at night?"

Saying that constitutionally protected Americans who want to make sure that their Second Amendment

rights aren't infringed upon by Democrats are "soaked in blood," it wasn't long

before the usual suspects arrived to back her up.

Just like that, rich celebrities, who are disconnected from the average American, stepped

in to also tell people that they knew best.

Unfortunately for them, they were about to get utterly destroyed.

Without hesitation, a badass veteran replied and put the self-righteous pricks in their

place with just two epic words — "deranged Democrat."

"MSNBC Joy Reid: 'the NRA is seeped and bathed in blood.

How do their adherents sleep at night?'" wrote Twitter user R. Wolfe.

"Well Joy, I sleep very well knowing that I have a Baretta on the night stand in case

some deranged democrat decides to go on a rampage."

The fact that anyone wants to blame the NRA for these kinds of things really just goes

to show their ignorance on the matter.

Does anyone want anyone to die?

No.

Are guns only used to kill innocent people?

Absolutely not.

In fact, guns are used more often by innocent people who are defending themselves.

Currently, there are about 2 or 2.5 million instances each year where guns are used to

defend one's self.

On the other hand, guns are used to kill less than 20,000 people every year here in America.

Responsible gun owners don't want firearms to be used to kill people, but they also have

the right to defend themselves if necessary, and they know there is no law that will keep

guns out of the hands of criminals.

So, they want to be able to protect themselves with equal force, which leaves us asking "Why

do Democrats think that the lives of gun owners are less valuable than those of others?"

People are dying every day in Chicago, where guns are just about banned in the city, yet

people are getting their hands on them and using them for sinister purposes every day.

Why have Democrats not demanded change in a place like that?

Well, it goes against their narrative to draw any attention to it.

In short, Chicago proves that gun control doesn't work.

However, the left can't allow a tragedy to go to waste.

As a result, despicable Democrats have taken to using dead children as props as they parade

their corpses around America for the sake of partisanship.

This is disgusting and disturbing on every level, and it's time we hold our leaders

responsible for their actions.

Americans have rights, and the Second Amendment is there for a reason.

Sadly, it's because of the left that we need the NRA to ensure that those rights are

protected from the tyranny they're now proposing.

Our lives are just as valuable as everyone else's in this country, and the fact that

they're actually arguing against that makes them the monsters — not the other way around.
