Hello and welcome to the Made by Hand channel (www.feitoamao.com)

In this video we will show how to make the pvc flamingo.

If you already liked this idea already leave your "like"!

To help our channel!

Besides letting that like that helps us a lot! If you are new to aquin already sign up

not to lose any video of recycling, papietagem. mini garden,

organic vegetable garden, pallet furniture, among others.

And other ideas.

To do the flamingo you will need the Template that you can download from our website

a piece of approximately 85 cm of PVC pipe

sanding and inks.

To cut. I used a mini rectifier. but you can use a manual or tactical saw

as we have already shown in previous videos of PVC Birds.

The process is simple:fix the mold. scratch and cut the silhouette of the bird.

For shaping I'm using a thermal blower to heat the pvc.

but we already showed how to do it using a kitchen stove.

The paint can be made with base paint water and then apply a varnish to protect.

or use solvent-based inks. directly.

Then it's just 2 screws to fix on a base and our flamingo is ready.

We hope you enjoyed it !!!

Enjoy and share this video with your friends!

Thanks and see you next video!

My Hollywood Studios Theory: Goodbye Tower of Terror - Duration: 7:13.

I'm taking a break from the normal history video today to talk about a theory I have.

It's something I started thinking about after some parks news we got last week that I'll

talk about in a minute, but before I dive in I want to be very clear: this is just a theory.

So please don't read into it beyond that.

I thought it'd be fun to share so that if I end up being right in two years or so I

get to go "Oooh. Aaaah. Look at me, the Disney genius!"

And if I'm wrong... well... we can pretend this never happened.

You see, I believe we're in the middle of seeing Disney run a litmus test in other parks

to see if it would be worth building a Marvel land in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

In the past, particularly during the Michael Eisner era of the company, Disney was not

afraid to partner with outside creators and companies to bring attractions to the parks.

In fact it was one of Eisner's tactics to bring more relevance to their parks at a time

where all they had were animated classics from decades prior.

We saw attractions based on Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and the Muppets.

We had a whole theme park named after another movie studio featuring among others, a ride

based on a bunch of non-Disney owned films.

Many of these attractions even became considered classics despite being built upon intellectual

property, otherwise known as IP, that wasn't Disney owned.

Disney eventually purchased the Muppets, making that a Disney IP.

Under Iger we saw Disney purchase LucasFilm which made Indiana Jones and Star Wars become

Disney IP as well.

Suddenly the number of rides based on non-Disney IPs were shrinking thanks to acquisitions.

Then in a departure from that, Pandora opened, introducing two new attractions based on Avatar,

another non-Disney IP.

It was a move seen as odd by many though I actually think Disney's mind was in the right

place when they decided to build the land.

I have a whole video on that if you're interested in hearing more.

So we were left with six attractions, all anchored to brands and IP Disney didn't own.

Then whaddya know, it's announced that The Great Movie ride is being replaced by a Mickey

and Minnie attraction and would you look at that, Ellen is also going to be replaced,

this time for a Guardians of the Galaxy ride.

Less than a year later it's announced that Disney is planning to acquire 20th Century

Fox and along with it, the Avatar property.

Assuming that deal closes, we're now left with just two remaining attractions.

The Tower of Terror, based on The Twilight Zone, and Rock n Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith.

Two attractions that happen to be situated right next to one another in their little

corner of Hollywood Studios.

Now to me, it seems clear that through acquisition or otherwise, Disney is looking to rid their

parks of attractions based on properties they don't own.

We've already seen California's Tower of Terror rethemed into a Guardians of the Galaxy ride,

and now we've just learned that Paris' Rock n Roller Coaster is going to be re-themed

to an Iron Man attraction, both, coincidentally, Marvel rides.

I think we're possibly going to see the same happen to Florida's Rock n Roller Coaster

and that we're also going to see the remaining Tower of Terrors also get a Marvel retheme.

It helps that Florida's Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror are right next to each other.

It would allow Disney to throw the Beauty and the Beast show into the mix and redo the

entire corner of the park into a Marvel land that could serve to match California Adventure's

rumored upcoming Marvel Land.

I believe these two initial rethemes in California and Paris are the litmus test Disney is performing

before they pull the trigger.

Now, many will point out or have already commented that a contract between Disney and Universal

currently prevents Disney from using a good number of Marvel characters in their Florida parks.

This is true.

However contracts like that can be bought out or renegotiated as long as the price is

right and Universal is willing to play ball.

If you asked me a year ago, I'd say that price would be entirely cash.

However with the current Fox deal in the works, Disney is about to step into a whole new library

of IP that they can potentially use as a bargaining chip.

Sure, they'll want to hold on to the obvious properties like Avatar and the XMen, but what

about something like the Alien franchise, or Kingsman, or Planet of the Apes?

Can you really see Disney focusing on these films?

If not, why not offer some of them up to Universal, another film studio that could use them, to

sweeten the pot and get back ride rights Disney would easily put to use.

Some might say there's already a Guardians of the Galaxy ride coming to Epcot, so Disney

wouldn't put another one in Disney World.

However to that I say, why not?

We have two Toy Story rides in two different parks in Florida, and they even share a similar concept.

You've got a Frozen show in Hollywood Studios and a ride in Epcot.

Little Mermaid in Hollywood Studios and a ride in the Magic Kingdom.

Nemo in Epcot and also the Animal Kingdom.

Look, I'm not about to say it's common, but it doesn't seem outside of the realm of possibility

either.

Now another point worth noting is that technically they don't need Universal to play ball for

them to retheme The Tower of Terror.

We're already getting an Epcot Guardians ride so clearly the Guardians fall outside of Universal's

contract.

So why not re-theme it now?

This is true, but I believe Disney would see the benefit of retheming that whole corner

of the park at once into a Marvel land rather than just changing the Tower and risk it being

the lone Marvel ride at the end of Sunset Blvd in the event they couldn't get the

rights to use the other characters later down the line.

I suspect they were OK with doing that with California's Tower because they know they

don't have to worry about Marvel rights there and will be able to expand that space into

a Marvel land whenever they want.

I also think they're performing this slower litmus test because at the moment with Toy

Story land and Star Wars land still in the works, not to mention everything planned for

Disney World's 50th anniversary, they know that any possible Marvel Land and retheme

would be years out from now.

It just seems too coincidental to me that the two final remaining non-Disney rides at

Disney World are seeing their California and Paris counterparts rethemed at relatively

around the same time to the same brand: Marvel.

In any case, even if I'm completely wrong about the Marvel/Universal stuff, I think

looking at the history of Disney's third-party IP attractions paints a pretty clear picture.

I think regardless of what they're rethemed to, both Rock and Roller Coaster and the Tower

of Terror are next on the chopping block once Star Wars land opens and the park can risk

to lose two E-ticket attractions.

I know many won't like to hear that, but Disney's MO these past few years has been

clear: Disney rides that promote Disney brands.

Now I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Like I said, I'm not basing any of this off of privileged information, I'm just

playing a guessing game with what we know.

Does any of this make sense?

Am I missing some crucial detail that shatters this theory?

Would you like to see this happen or hate it?

Let me know in the comments below.

Thank you all for watching, and I'll see you next time.

If You Dream It, Believe It - Duration: 3:51.

I'm just telling you, whatever it is, that you wanted, when you were a kid get

that back in you because nothing will motivate you more than where it is

that you know that you are going and if you know where you are going, you will

work harder than ever to get there. When I got into this, they said the what is it

that you want out of it and I told you guys this earlier. I said I want to live

on the beach. I want to travel the world. I've accomplish those. Once I accomplish

those I had to ask myself what am I doing this for now and then I said you

know what I don't have a family yet. My husband and I just got married a year

and a half ago. We're thinking about practicing starting a family and so

here's, what I can tell you is that I watched one lady, that's standing in this or

sitting in this room and actually I was talking about her on the way down

here and how much I admire her and what she does for her and her kids and

that's you Whitney. I don't know where you are in the room Whitney Husband,

but here's why because here's my new dream and this is why you have to have

a dream. I fulfilled my dreams. I need a new dream and that dream is that when

we have a family When we have kids, I'm not gonna be the mother that sits at

home and says well, I can go do this. I can't go do that. I'm gonna create the

lifestyle and have the income to be able to take my kids all the way around the

world with me wherever I'm travelling. Wherever I'm going to build my business.

Wherever I'm going to help someone else build their business. I wanna generate

that lifestyle so I can take them with me and I just commend you Whitney for being

that woman. Being that example for every single person in this room not having

that excuse. Cause I'm pretty sure you gave birth like a few weeks ago. Uh

which is insane to me. Guys get your dream back. Whatever that dream

was, you gotta have it in you, you gotta wake up every single morning and you

got to visualize that. I was a gymnast growing up and before every

practice, before every competition, we had to sit and meditate on our routines. We

had to sit for what seemed like hours, but was really only a few minutes. We had

the visualize perfect routines after routines after routines in our head, sometimes

we need to just sit there and visualize us talking to someone and having a

perfect conversation and giving ourselves the benefit of the doubt that we can

be perfect because we can do it right. Don't under estimate yourself because

you can get and have anything you want out of your life. Here's the last thing

I'll leave you with is that when you leave Las Vegas so you go back home

whatever car it is that you want to drive go test drive it. Whatever house it is that

you wanna live in, go find a real estate agent and make them show it to you.

When they say I don't know if you have the money to buy this say, I will and go do

it anyways. Go look at those home, go look at those beach houses. Travel to the

beach if that's what you want is a beach house. Travel down there and go look.

It's not gonna hurt anything. But what will happen is that your dreams you will start

to be pulled to that lifestyle that you desire. You will be pulled to it and you can't fight it.

So I'm just telling you get up start dreaming more. Dream before you wake, before you

go to bed so you actually dream about it and then dream. Start dreaming. Day

dream all that time. Just get back to that child mentality where whatever you wanted

to be was possible because even as an adult, whatever you wanna be, it is

possible. So thank you guys.

Grandmother Can't Remember Family, But When Granddaughter Starts To Sing… Tears - Duration: 3:23.

Grandmother Can't Remember Family, But When Granddaughter Starts To Sing…

Tears

Watching someone you love waste away is one of the hardest things we must endure in life.

To see a loved one who was once vibrant and talkative, loving and animated fade away hurts.

But video can capture those precious memories when they are all you have left.

Mary-Lou Versteegh was one of the millions whom dementia's cruel clutches ensnared;

she couldn't recall the names and faces of her daughter and granddaughter and other

members of her famly.

the disease stole Mary-Lou's ability to care for herself and do the day-to-day tasks

we can take for granted.

there was one memory Alzheimer's couldn't erase: The words to the classic song, "You

Are My Sunshine."

The tune was a favorite of Mary-Lou's and one she always sang to her grandchildren.

Her granddaughter, Nicole Coenen, is in film school.

She documented the progression of her grandmother's illness, but the video also captured precious

moments between grandmother and granddaughter.

Nicole included montages of her singing the song to her grandmother; sometimes, her grandmother

would sing along.

And other times, she'd lay in her bed with her eyes closed, letting Nicole's voice

and hands sooth her.

Nicole mentioned how singing the song could help jog her grandmother's memory: "She

would forget who I was, but she always remembered the words of that song," Nicole said.

"And then she might start to remember other things.

It would trigger her memory.

"It was a way of bringing her back because she would always brighten up.

I had no idea it would do that."

Throughout her life, Mary-lou withstood and survived much heartache and loss.

She lived in the Netherlands during World War II.

She cared for her father and mother.

Both struggled with Alzheimer's; the disease took her father while her mother died of cancer.

Mary-Loue always feared she'd also inherit the dreadful vile illness.

She became proactive, going back to college where she learned to become a support worker

for those with Alzheimer's.

She then looked after dementia sufferers.

And then it started.

Mary-Lou began to lose parts of herself.

She was tired and forgot things.

Sadly, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

She told her daughter, Patty, but begged her to keep it a secret.

"So we did everything in our power not to let people know what was happening because

she was very embarrassed about it, 'cause she never wanted this illness," said Patty,

who is Nicole's mother.

To Nicole, her grandmother's illness wasn't a big deal at all: "I just didn't understand

No, none of this was part of my plan.

I pictured myself having a dignified old age.

Not what I have. (laughs). Let's go to the front.

There was a time in my life when I cared a lot about what people thought.

Trying so hard to fit the mould.

Because I think we are brought up like that.

We are taught that we must fall in with what society says.

And if we don't, we are not going to be liked, or we are going to be punished.

Expectations are a trap.

Don't be afraid to think for yourself,

and trust your own judgement.

And take action on that and not what other people tell you to do.

Each time I took a step to break away from the norm,

I felt the freedom and the joy of living that came from that.

The most important think that we have to do, is learn to love being who we are.

Because once we've learnt to love being who we are,

sets us free to just be who we are without needing anybody else,

Are Fish Smart? - Duration: 2:01.

Hello fishkeepers welcome to the indian fishkeeper channel.

When it comes to intelligence, fish aren't considered as smart as animals or humans

Fish can perform multiple complex tasks simultaneously.

Best example of this is the BBC documentary video of puffer fish which draws complex patterns on sand to attract his mate

fish have been shown to have "have excellent long-term memories" for a number of factors

Checkout this video of mine where i am acting like i am feeding the fishes.

When i put my hand from right side, all fish gathers over there.

But when i do the same thing from left, the fish hardly notices my hand

This must be because the fishkeeper must be feeding these guys from right side only.

And now fish generated a habit from having food from that side

This demonstrates that fish brain is capable of developing a habit.

A school of fish isn't just an aimless group swimming around

Fish school together so they can intimidate their predator by looking huge

So thats it for today.

8 Indications of an Under Active Thyroid - Duration: 4:30.

8 Indications of an Under-Active Thyroid

According to the American Thyroid Association (ATA), roughly 5-percent of U.S. adults suffer

from hypothyroidism, or an underactive thyroid, making it the most prevalent immune disease

in North America.

An underactive thyroid results when the body doesn't produce adequate thyroid hormone,

thus affecting both normal brain, mood, and body function.

Sadly the National Academy of Hypothyroidism, reports that 60-percent of those with thyroid

disease don't realize that they have a health issue due to a presentation of very commonplace

symptoms, such as weight gain, moodiness, extreme fatigue, and digestive upset.

The following varied symptoms can indicate an underactive thyroid…

1.

Unexplained Fatigue If you get adequate hours of sleep (roughly

8-hours per night) and still struggle to get up in the morning, take a shower, and dress

yourself you may suffer from hypothyroidism.

Many diagnosed patients report dealing with unexplained and severe forms of exhaustion

throughout the day, even after a night of restful sleep.

2.

Digestive Upset Chronic indigestion almost every single time

you eat can indicate an underactive thyroid.

The condition may even cause you to suffer gas, bloating, and abdominal cramps with foods

that you've eaten for years without any issues.

3.

Irritability Individuals who have an underactive thyroid

share common mood imbalances.

For instance, a co-study conducted by researchers at University of Toronto and the Department

of Psychiatry at Toronto's Western Hospital linked hypothyroidism to dangerous and permanent

affects on brain function and mental processes—including a gradual loss of interest and motivation,

paranoia, irritability, poor short-term memory, and memory decline that led to dementia if

left untreated.

4.

Baffling Weight Gain Your diet hasn't changed, your activity

level is the same as it always was, but you're left stumped over the fact that you're gaining

weight without any practical reason.

The same goes for trying to shed said unexplained weight.

If you increase your activity level and cut calories and still don't shed a pound, hypothyroidism

may explain it.

5.

Depression A 2004 study published by the National Institutes

of Health linked hypothyroidism and depression.

On one side, patients who suffer with depression have an increased risk of hypothyroidism.

However, the opposite was also found true in a study group of 192 people between the

ages of 60 and 79-years-old—approximately 38-percent of participants with hypothyroidism

were also found to be clinically depressed or diagnosed with anxiety disorder.

6.

Constipation The onset of constipation is also considered

a sign of an underactive thyroid.

Many patients complain of irregular, decrease, and even difficult bowel movements that reduce

their number 2 bathroom task to only once per week.

7.

Hair Loss Hypothyroidism can also cause hair to thin

or simply fall out in clumps.

You may suddenly notice that when you comb your hair there is a lot more left in the

brush or hair may fall out in tufts overnight.

A once full, thick head of hair may quickly become thinner and finer.

8.

Is It Chilly In Here?

One of the more common signs of hypothyroidism is cold sensitivity, meaning you're always

chilly, throwing on a blanket or sweater, turning up the thermostat, and wearing fuzzy

socks to bed—even when it's comfortably warm inside.

If you have an oral thermometer, scientists from the American Thyroid Association recommend

a simple temperature test, once per week, upon waking.

If your temperature is consistently below 98.6-degrees Fahrenheit (considered below

normal human body temperature), it may indicate hypothyroidism.

2018 OLYMPICS 🏆 MENS STREET RACING FINALS 🏁 USA SUPERBIKE vs SUPERMOTO ITALY - Duration: 26:00.

2018 Street Racing Olympics - My name is Johnny. This is Rick and it is a pleasure

to be here today. Here we are for the mens street racing

finals in Vicenza Italy. I'll tell you what Johnny we've got a

classic matchup today, you don't see this very often.

At turn 6 here they come,

warming up. As you can see you have USA on the on the Honda super bike and KTM is Italy.

Simple rules, winner is the best of three rounds. One round = a uphill and

downhill run. If the point total is equal, the leading racer will take the round.

I think those are very general rules and easy to abide by. They go again for

the second warm-up run on ten six, very famous turn there.

Men's street racing scoring - here we go, you get a point for passing an opponent. You get

a point for being the first out of a corner. Get a point for wheeling when leading the

race and you also get a point for any close calls. You know that could be

debated though Rick. I really don't know what might be close and what might not

be. You and I have both had disagreements with judges in the past on those close calls.

Yes we have. And here we go! Looks like Italy's starting quite a bit confident,

pulling off a wheelie. This isn't where the race actually begins it's right

after the track straightens out here.

Remember these first two corners are quite wider and a bit of a warm up.

USA on the Honda super bike, the CBR1000RR.

Honestly a classic, classic superbike - also known as the Fire Blade.

There is a culture behind this one. All right the race has officially begun!

USA out front popping off the wheelie to get them a point lead.

What I like about this course Johnny is you never know what the other traffic on

the roads going to be. No you're right Rick, it's very very dynamic indeed.

Wow, you can really see Italy here, keeping on the throttle. You have to be fully pinned to be

keeping up with the super bike

The bike probably tops out at about a hundred miles an hour, where the super bike actually

will top out about a hundred and eighty miles per hour (depending on the

gearing).

It's very good racing here. It seems like they are taking the time and being very,

very polite with traffic. I don't expect that to last. I don't expect so either, Rick.

I thought I might have seen a wheelie there, that they didn't count. Oh!

Was that a pass? First aggressive move of the match so far - on turn 4.

Italy taking the pass, and taking the corner, and doubling up his points.

Not for very long! As the US comes right back with another dagger.

Here they go in the corners.

This is where the KTM will thrive, and he does. He takes him with a pass.

That was a beautiful angle he took there, beautiful! And he took the corner and now he is

ahead by one point. Just like that, see! That's where the KTM is gonna get him, but

here he goes. Simple pass right there. That's an easy point for the super bike

every time.

He has to be aware.

Oh! What a close call there.

They gave him the point. That one is debatable, Johnny. You think so?!

He just got a triple up point, but not for very long as USA flies back

through it. I can't help but wonder if these judges

are playing hometown favorite. Well, I'm wondering the same thing but

honestly that seemed like a very dangerous maneuver.

I'm very surprised he's not taking him right here. It seems like

US is maintaining speed and keeping on the throttle, like he should be.

I dont know why he is slowing down right here.

He can't see forward or he is having troubles with the bike.

He seems to be looking down. Oh, he must be confused about the course! Italy takes the

point! Classic hometown advantage there.

You know that's a benefit of being a hometown king. Now he's just

absolutely showboating and taking all the points he can get it. Drops down a

wheelie for an extra point.

That tractor driver truly had a spectacle there.

He really did, Rick.

Well, this is the final corner before the straight, for the end of the uphill.

Wow! For Italy to take the lead by four points here, for the uphill run, for round 1

is really pushing the US back in the point lead.

and that wraps up our uphill run, for round 1.

I'm surprised they didn't give him a close call for this one, Rick. Don't you think?

This was quite, quite close with the other vehicle. This one.

You know we debated it, but look how close he is. He is riding on the white

line and that old-school Ducati could have gotten the head-on collision, at nearly full

speed by Italy. You know Johnny after seeing that a second time I tend to

agree that it was a close call. Well, here we go. Round one - downhill.

US really has to push it now. Unless he's doing some sort of strategy

and studying his opponent. I've been watching USA for a while now

and I don't believe that's an approach he normally takes.

I agree with you, Rick. I honestly think he's a multi-aggressive rider and just

seems to boot the throttle whenever he gets the chance.

Sometimes in a match like this, from the stage of this side, you try other (or

different) strategy to throw the opponent off. Yeah, that's very very

understandable. You know what I think is interesting about Italy? Is that the rider

is is not using his rear view mirror, whatsoever.

You know he tends to cock his head back to see where the opponent is and then just

continues to push it forward.

Seems like traffic is getting in a bit of a way for the United States, but he is keeping on

it very smooth through these cars. It's a dance, but they're still pushing.

They are still pushing, and you can tell with those breaks in the traffic because

the US just rolls the throttle. You can tell US is very comfortable on that stretch.

I would agree with you, Rick. Have you ridden this road before?

I have not. Oh my god, it's brilliant! It's absolutely brilliant, it's paved

perfectly and the corners are absolutely gorgeous. I bet you got some stories from

this road. I have quite the crazy stories on this road, Rick.

You'll have to tell me over a beer after this. Sounds great, chap.

Here he goes! Oh man, I mean US is really struggling to pass him. I don't know

what's going on. Wait till he plays those corners. Woo, I'll tell you what. This is,

this is where the United States will get the lead on this straight.

What? I don't know why he let up there. I don't think he can see through the corner,

Rick. That car was cutting off his angle. Wow, incredible speed being maintained by

Italy. You can tell he is out for blood.

The double-up point scenarios for the super bike are really on the wheelie

passes, because the supermoto ends up topping out around 100 miles per hour

Honestly that's where the superbike starts to pick up the front wheel in

second gear.

There's so many curves on this course it's hard for them to get those

stretches to really get that speed. I would agree with you Rick, there really are only a few spots on this

course where the US can take advantage of the power of the Superbike. Then he's gonna

have to do that.

I'm very surprised they did not give them the point for the wheelie there.

I don't know if they didn't notice it or the score is just too far gone.

It seems like the United States is accepting defeat on this round already.

He could push it more it just doesn't seem like he's warmed up yet.

Yes, he still still seems to be calibrating his machine getting used to where he's

picking it up and comfortable with. Now there's quite a bit of head-on traffic

to take the risk of a pass right now because it's very early on still.

I'll tell you what though Johnny if he doesn't come out a little bit more

aggressive in round two, it's over. Could not have enough said it better myself Rick!

This has been one hell of a round one between these two racers. Beautiful, Italy absolutely

demolishing first round you know this was essential that Italy kept on the

trigger here and just continue to push through it you can tell he's going 90

miles an hour that has to be the top speed of that supermoto. I thought Italy really

really came out playing to their strengths and USA did not capitalize.

As a courtesy it seems like US is letting Italy get the leg up here in the start.

under the second one. To be honest with you Johnny I

don't quite understand that after that first round performance. Well I honestly think

that US is going to win from the wheelie passes. Those a huge point

opportunities for him and he's really just setting up for the double point

maneuvers because Italy is going to take the double points in the corners everytime.

THERE HE GOES! Just how I said it pulled off the double point. A wheelie while leading the race

and the pass.

That is a good start. Let's see how he reacts playing from behind now.

Not giving it much room, that's for certain.

There is US with another wheelie out front giving him a three-point lead going in to

the first corner. When he does those right, he sure makes it look easy.

Oh he's going for it!

He got the double pointer! Just like that without a problem. Oh you can tell US is

quite angry right now.

He has got to keep on it! First gear topped out right there.

You can definitely tell they're playing this round a little bit more aggressive

Most definitely.

Beautiful pass.

Beautiful pass that was very proper etiquette of the United States.

Impressive to say the least.

Did he let him get the triple points there?

I think he caught triple points.

Did they give him a close call?

WOW! Oh My God taking the chance and it paying off

Over a 100 mile per hour wheelie lane split with oncoming traffic is absolutely insane!

Johnny, that truly was a power move.

Wow and not letting him get to this corner easy swoop.

It seems like they slowed down for the police there.

Understandable. Adding the police chase is quite a variable to add to street racing.

Let me tell you.

It seems like he's just cruising through here.

Italy must have let off being that the police was right on his tail.

You know I don't know a single street racer that hasn't had run to from

the cops the time or two.

It's very common that you see street racers

getting chased by the police.

Seems like this is the end of the uphill run.

They're ending it early because of the police, understandable.

Let's check out some of the highlights here for round two up hill.

It was all about the corners on this one.

The corners were very important but you see

that US is starting to break out the wheelie passes. I think that's gonna come

in handy and he's starting to learn.

Yeah, every time Italy's gonna take these

without a doubt and I mean that was a gorgeous close call

He was truly riding the edge.

He was riding the edge there, Rick.

Should be interesting how the downhill plays out.

USA has to maintain the corner points those are essential.

USA up by three with

Italy six and USA nine heading in to the first corner here.

We saw quite a bit of traffic on our way up let's see how it comes into play on the way down.

Very curious again you know he's just taking the traffic positions

here on the corners. Grabbed an easy point for him.

Oh My God he threaded that needle.

I still, I honestly, I don't think that was a close call that's very very slow not much risk taken.

That's an easy pass for the United States he needs to take him on these straights.

Surprised he failed to do so.

Wow a ton of traffic in the right lane.

A lot of traffic.

They have to continue to take the outside of these cars!

US cannot let them get away too far has to keep within sights.

Italy's pushing, he sees the opening, USA is trusting his intuition and pushing 130

That's topped out in third gear. A beautiful throttle roll.

Yet, he needs to maintain his position and focus around these corners and he just continuously doesn't.

As soon as he gets it he loses it I don't understand.

I don't understand either, Rick. I don't know if he's setting up for the double

point wheelie pass or what he's looking to get here

He's keeping him within his sights, that's very very important if he wants

to maintain anything but just like that Italy is tied it up and now USA is

playing the catch-up game before hitting these corners

A little slide on the bike there.

That's quite a spectators he understand, but again Italy is now taking the lead I

don't know what USA has up his sleeve here

If he has anything it has to be right up here he has to get a pass on right here

this is his last opportunity to get any points to tie it up and continue the

race. And he pushes. There he goes. Beautiful beautiful push in second gear

to bring him in front.

It's a little bit of aggression but I think his patience paid off there.

I would agree with you, Rick. It was very important that he did not

push it too hard that potentially go through a windshield of oncoming traffic

and die before the race is over.

That is not a good way to end a race.

Not a good way to race.

No one wants to see a butterfly of a human

body on their windshield.

Well said.

Here they are, at the common turn around. It's 12-12 USA out front, which means

they would take the round as the leading racer.

This close call can be debated only 36 miles per hour he was quite close though

and that he needed this dagger and you can tell the acceleration I'm very surprised

the supermoto didn't take him there on the initial acceleration

What do you think of that Rick?

Italy's coming out with some flash and seems

to be a little showboat to me.

Seems to be a little showboating to me as well.

I don't know if he's too confident, could play in his favor could not.

But I'm telling you, the US has to strike with wheelie passes if he wants to win

a race here and he has to get it right off the bat right here. It's essential he

takes to double points. Crucial. I mean, that is not a problem

right again

it did not seem like a stress whatsoever with getting that wheelie pass on that straight.

He is maintaining a beautiful speed around these corners you can see

in the rearview he is losing the supermoto

He's finally holding a lead so throughout this whole race he has not

been able to do this he let it go as soon as he got it.

I don't under...WOAH! I really don't understand why he slowed down there!

He let him get the double pointer and he

has a wheelie and he gets a triple point just like that he let him take the

lead I don't know why he let him steal it Rick? Complacent.

Complacent indeed.

And man, his ability to take these corners it's very difficult to keep on

a superbike

Just like that he's doubled the score of the US.

I really don't understand. He's gotta get these points back.

And he's just letting him take these corners you know he's really digging

himself a hole here. I don't know what he has up his sleeve

but 2-5, he is not looking good on the uphill run here. There's still a

lot of time left but you gotta make a move now. He's doing it! And here he goes!

OH, close call wheelie pass! Dear God! I was not expecting that. And it's all tied up just

like that. Well played USA. Whoa, here comes Italy Oh

held off by on coming traffic that was essential. Absolutely essential for the

United States to maintain a lead there.

I love how he's keeping on it you know he's not letting him catch up which is

huge right now really.

These truly are professionals and sometimes to them, more importantly than

when the Olympics is the pride of winning the race.

I would agree with you there.

You want to make sure you can hold that trophy at the end of the race and

not be in a wheelchair doing it.

I've seen quite a few racers actually, at the end of a bout

like this in a wheelchair not being able to even move anything from the neck down.

And the final point, nice and easy grabbing it. Oh he's pulling off the

wheelie! Front down! What a move! 9-5 USA's up.

Wow, what a beautiful maneuver by US.

Can he hold the lead?

Can he hold the lead, is the question Rick.

This is the, uh... turnaround spot, this last corner will not be counted.

Wow what a final round, Uphill run.

I would have to say so

I did not expect USA to come out ahead.

USA 9 Italy 5 here we go.

You know, this is where he needed to get the double points every time if he would

have gone for this round one he would probably ended up winning the round.

And this one really, this would've been catastrophic

Biker coming the other way nearly knocked his shoulder this could have easily been

a four biker pileup.

Here's the beginning of the final round

downhill run this is it this is where they risk it all.

This is where things will get a bit sketchy.

It's quite an interesting GoPro mount he has there, it has to be distracting.

Now this racer though is quite the veteran in the game is very used to,

and familiar with, people cutting in front of them just like that.

As you can see he laid off the throttle for just a moment before getting back on it.

And he knows he needs to take the lead and it seemed like Italy was not even moving there!

Again though, maybe Italy was just doing this to get the double pointer.

I think I might have been part of his strategy.

What a beautiful strategy, Rick. I had no idea!

Clever individual

USA cutting some solid corners here taking the straight route as he

should on the super bike in order to reach a higher speed.

And now the supermoto.

Oh,

seems like get a little bit of a slip up there.

Street racing's sure not the same as it was back here in the day, eh Johnny?

Not at all!

The bikes could hardly go 150

Easy lead maintained. The spectators are getting a show today. Wow,

that bike pulled out right in front of him, still with the turn signal on.

USA really keeping a solid lead here he has to know that he's losing him.

He is really pushing it right now on the down hill this is the monster we did not see

during round one. Looks to be a comfortable 12-8 lead but who knows how

this round will end.

Who know's Rick? I'm very surprised. I don't understand!

I don't know if that was a courtesy move or what but he just let him pull ahead

with two points there.

Hard telling Johnny.

Very difficult, indeed.

Wow quite...that's honestly the closest we've seen the superbike follow this supermoto

around a corner. Wow, he gets an easy pass. He was going for the wheelie pass there, to set

it down right before getting in front. Just lucky there wasn't traffic there.

He didn't seem very stable coming down. He really did not.

And there he goes again! He's gonna take the double pointer on the corner every time Rick.

It's all tied up honestly there's one last straight where he can possibly get the lead.

I mean he's really gotta unwind here. It seems like he's setting up, for

potentially the wheelie pass to win the race. For all the marbles. He really just needs to pass.

I don't understand why he didn't do a wheelie though.

He's doing it! Oh My God, is that the MaxPass!?

Johnny that was for pride.

That was for pride, showboating, and the Golden Goose.

That was absolutely brilliant riding!

That might have been a little payback for the wheelie at the beginning on the round, really.

Yes, it seems like he was trying

to make a bit of a statement there like this is my road, you're going to get slayed...

and fileted...

Oh my god, absolutely gorgeous racing as USA wins round 3, 15 to 13.

Again, just keeping out front, making the passes here.

Was very important running into this lap, traffic also cut off the line but Italy,

if they would have taken this corner and potentially pull ahead into the lead

The final showboat maneuver... I could not believe my eyes there, Rick.

And that'll do it for the 2018 Street Racing Olympics

Beautiful beautiful sportsmanship even more beautiful riding.

The final results USA Max Wrist in the #1 spot on the Honda Superbike followed by

Italy on the KTM supermoto. Brilliant brilliant racing, Rick.

Jonny it's been a pleasure.

It's been an absolute pleasure.

How to Sew a Memory Bear | Simplicity A2115 Step-by-Step | Whitney Sews - Duration: 16:10.

Hi everyone! I'm Whitney and I post a new tutorial every single Wednesday to help sewers

of all skill levels learn new projects and techniques. Today I'll be showing step-by-step

how to sew a memory bear. If you came across this video at random make sure to hit that

subscribe button down below and check out my entire memory bear playlist linked below

in the description box. The pattern I'll be using today is Simplicity

A2115. If you have Simplicity C5461 or 8155 they are very similar patterns so you should

be able to still follow right along. But there will be a lot of info in this video that will

be helpful, no matter what pattern you are working with.

This pattern in particular has 9 pattern pieces for the bear and a few more for the clothing.

Each paper piece will need to be cut out. I copied my patterns onto a thin plastic for

a sturdier pattern. I have more info on that in a video linked in the information icon

in the upper corner of the screen. Follow the info on each pattern piece to know

how many to cut from your fabric. I like to interface my materials, so I trace the pattern

right onto the interfacing. Since you will probably only be cutting one layer at a time

make sure to flip the pattern over so you will have a right side and a left side. Then

cut just inside the marked lines of each piece. To keep track of everything I make a list

of the pieces I need and what fabric I'm cutting them from and mark each off as I go. After

all the pieces are cut it's time to start sewing.

The first step of the pattern is to sew the two face sides together along the center front

seam. So place the two face sides right sides together and sew along the side with the double

notches or just an extra wide notch out on mine, with a ¼ inch seam allowance.

Every time you sew a curved seam you will want to make some small snipes in the seam

allowance. This helps your curved seams to lay smoother when your bear is completed.

Be careful that you aren't cutting into your stitching line.

Then we are going to add the face center. I found it easiest to find the exact middle

of the piece and line it up with the center seam we sewed before. Then I start sewing

there adjusting the two pieces as I sew making sure to keep my seam allowance as close to

¼ inch as possible. I find this to be easier than trying to line the edges up and add lots

of pins before starting to sew, but if you are more comfortable with pinning then feel

free to do it that way. Then I flip it over and sew from the center

point to the other edge. By doing it in halves like this I know the face is centered and

if one side ends up just a bit longer on one side I can just trim the little bit of excess

off and it's fine. Clip the seam allowance. This is one of the

most important seams that need to be clipped because of how sharp of a curve it is at the

nose and it's such a prominent part of the bear. If you are using safety eyes and noses

like I do you want to go ahead and install them at this point. I have a video showing

how to install them that is linked in the information icon in the upper corner of the

screen. Match two of your ear pieces up right sides

together and sew around the curved edge. Clip and turn right sides out. Add a small amount

of stuffing and sew along the lower edge to close up the ear. Repeat for the second set

of ear pieces. Use the pattern markings to place the ears on the bear face and sew to

attach with about a 1/8 inch seam allowance. Next up is sewing the back of the bear head.

Lay the two back head pieces right sides together and sew along the edge with the double notches

with a ¼ inch seam allowance. Cut snips in the seam allowance then open the piece up.

Place it right sides together with the bear face matching up the edges. Add a few clips

to hold the two layers together and sew around the large curved side. Clip the seam allowance

and carefully turn the entire head right sides out through the neck opening.

Now onto sewing the body. Lay the two body front pieces right sides together and sew

to attach them along the center front seam. Match your four leg pieces up in sets of two

with the right sides together. Start at the top and sew down the leg and around the curve

of the toe to the bottom. Try to keep your seam line as smooth as possible. You'll probably

have to sew a few before you find the exact speed that works best for you. Then start

at the top on the other side and sew to the notch. Start again at the second notch and

sew to the bottom. Make sure you are backstitching at the beginning and ending of each seam you

sew. It's very important to clip the seam allowance around the toe area so the foot

will look great when it's stuffed. Time to sew in the bottom of the feet. Some

people recommend lining up the entire outer edge of the foot with the bottom of the leg

and having a pin basically every 1/8 of an inch. But I prefer to just match up the dot

markings from the pattern with the leg seams and add clips there. Then I sew slowly and

adjust the two pieces as I sew to keep them lined up. Sometimes it ends up to where I

have a little excess of the foot material and I just let it stick out a little past

the other fabric and bring my seam a little further in from the edge. Clip those seam

allowances once again, always making sure you do not cut into the stitching line. Repeat

the same steps for the second foot then turn them both right sides out.

Fold the legs in half so the top seam and back seam line up. You can open the seams

up or push them to opposite sides to reduce bulk. Clip them to the body front using the

markings from the pattern as guides. Make sure the toes are pointing toward the belly

when flipped up. Sew to attach the legs to the body using a 1/8 inch seam allowance.

Each back piece of the bear has a dart cut out. Fold one piece so the edges of the dart

match up. Sew the dart closed with a ¼ inch seam allowance. Repeat for the other piece.

Then place the two right sides together and sew from the top to the first notch on the

back seam then from the second notch to the bottom. Leave the opening in the middle for

adding stuffing. Put the front and back pieces right sides

together with the legs tucked inside and clip the outer edges together. I like to start

at the center seam and work up to the top edges. I sew it in the same way, starting

at the center seam and sewing up the the top then start back at the center and sew up to

the other top edge. This way if one piece ends up longer than the other I can just trim

the excess off at the top. Turn the entire thing right sides out through the opening

that was left in the back. Onto the arms. Place the four arm pieces right

sides together in pairs and sew around leaving the short top open and the space between the

two notches open. This is another area where you want to try to keep your stitched curve

as smooth as possible. Clip the seam allowances around the curve and turn the arm right sides

out. Repeat with the second arm. Use the markings from the pattern to clip

the arms in place, then sew to attach with a 1/8 inch seam allowance. Turn the body back

inside out. Now we need to sew on the head. Find the center front seam of the body and

the center front seam of the head and match them up right sides together with the head

down inside the body. Match up each of the seams making sure to either open or nest your

seams to reduce bulk and add a clip at each one. Take your time getting everything situated

because this is probably the hardest seam to sew just because there is very little space

to work in. Place it under your presser foot and sew the

head to the body. Sew very carefully making sure the layers are staying lined up and you

aren't accidentally sewing the neck closed. I usually need to sew around twice to make

sure I sewed far enough in to hide where the arms were sewn on before and to make sure

everything is nice and neat. Turn the bear right sides out through the

opening in the back. Take it slowly so you don't accidentally rip the back seam farther

open. Time to stuff the bear. I buy Fairfield polyfil

in 5 lb boxes at Joann. You can make about five 18 inch bears from one box. I have found

it best to start with the head and make sure the nose if stuffed really firmly so it has

that great shape to it. Then firmly stuff the rest of the head. I like to do the legs

next and firmly stuff the feet then a little looser in the top of the legs. The same for

the arms. Then on to the body. Stuff it so that it is semi firm, but still just a little

squishy. If you pull the stuffing apart as you are working with it you will get better

results. You want your bear to be fully stuffed so there aren't any areas that look lumpy

or bumpy, but not overstuffed to where the seams are trying to burst open.

When you are happy with how your bear is stuffed use a ladder stitch to sew the openings in

the arms, legs, and back closed. I have a separate video that shows step-by-step how

to sew a ladder stitch and that tutorial will be linked in the information icon in the upper

corner of the video. Then your precious memory bear is done and

ready for hugs! If you still have any questions about sewing

Understanding Differentiation Part 1: The Slope of a Tangent Line - Duration: 5:30.

Professor Dave here, let's talk about differentiation.

If we are going to learn calculus, we are going to have to understand the concept of

differentiation.

To introduce this concept, let's examine a particular problem.

Say we want to find the equation of a line that is tangent to a curve at some point.

With the word tangent, we mean that the line has precisely one point in common with this

section of the curve, so there can be only one tangent line, as if the slope were any

bigger or smaller, it would necessarily intersect the curve at a second point.

Say the curve we are looking at is our good old friend, y equals x squared, the basic

parabola.

Let's choose a point on this curve, like (1, 1).

We know this point is on the curve, because one squared equals one.

What is the equation of the tangent line at this point?

If we recall our algebra, we know that to get the equation of a line in slope-intercept

form, we either need any two points on the line, or we need one point and the slope of the line.

But alas, we don't have this information.

We just have the one point.

Well one thing we can do is pick some other point on the curve, like this one, and we

know that any point on the curve must have the coordinates (x comma x squared), because

the y value is always the square of the x value.

If we make a different line between these two points, which we call the secant line,

we can write an expression to get the slope of this line, because we now have two points,

those being the new one, and the point (1, 1) that we started with.

Remember that slope is rise over run, so it's y2 minus y1 over x2 minus x1.

That will be x^2 minus one, over x minus one.

If we move this second point around, the line changes, as does its slope, but this expression

will stay the same.

Now let's plug in some values for this second point and see what happens to the slope of the line.

Say we start with x equals two.

X squared is four, so we get three over one, or a slope of three for the secant line.

Now let's try plugging in 1.5.

X squared will be 2.25, so we get 1.25 over 0.5, which gives us 2.5 as the slope.

Now let's keep pushing this second point closer and closer to our initial point.

We can try X equals 1.1, then 1.01, then 1.001.

The resulting line gets closer and closer to being equivalent to the tangent line we

are looking for, and its slope gets closer and closer to two.

We can even do this from the other direction, starting with x equals zero, going up to x

equals one half, 0.9, 0.99, and we see the same effect.

The line gets closer and closer to becoming the tangent line, and we again approach a

slope of two, just from the other direction.

This would seem to suggest, or even demand, that the slope of the tangent line must be

equal to two.

If the slope is equal to two, then we just do some algebra, by plugging in the coordinates

of the point as well as the slope into the equation for a line.

We get one equals two times one, plus B, and the intercept must be negative one.

Therefore, the equation of this tangent line is y = 2x – 1.

In finding the slope of this tangent line, we have performed differentiation, and we

have thereby discovered something about the rate of change in this function at this point.

Speaking of rates of change, this is another lens we can use to comprehend the concept

of differentiation, so let's move forward and examine things from another point of view.
