Three years ago, like most Poketubers, I made a video counting down my Top 10 favorite Pokémon,

a video that while well-received, had substantially lower quality than my newer videos.

Now since I made that video, I've considered my Top 10 Favorite Pokémon to be pretty set

in stone.

However a few weeks ago, I made a video showing off an online tool called the Favorite Pokémon

Picker, a tool that helps you figure out your favorite Pokémon in a specific order.

If you want to try it out yourself, the link to my video showing you how is both in the

description below and in the cards for this video.

In that video, I used that tool to select my Top 10 Favorite Pokémon, and I was surprised

to see that it had changed pretty drastically from 3 years ago.

Because of that, I thought it might be fun to make a new Top 10 Favorite Pokémon video.

I ran a poll on twitter, which you should follow me on by the way, and the responses

were overwhelmingly in favor.

So that's what this video is!

I'm going to be counting down my updated Top 10 Favorite Pokémon, based mainly on...well...whatever

the heck I want.

These are my favorites.

Pokémon.

Number 10 - Torterra

Torterra once held the Number 4 spot on my Top 10 favorites list, but he has fallen down

a bit due to...well...to be perfectly honest I can't totally explain it.

I was going to say that I just haven't used him much at all recently, but then I remembered

I had Jarvis in my Pokémon Gaia let's play so...yeah I don't have a specific reason.

But even if it has fallen down, I still like Torterra a lot.

I think it has a really cool design and a badass name, and I will always have fond memories

of kicking butt with it back in my first playthrough of Diamond.

The ground grass type combination may not be the best for battles, but I think it's

really creative and a perfect fit for Torterra.

Fire types are no match for its earthquakes of doom

Number 9 - Luxray

In the old list, Luxray was one spot above Torterra, and that remains consistent here!

Like Torterra, I played through Diamond for the first time with a Luxray on my team, the

first time I ever played through a game with a full team of six (the others being Staraptor,

Floatzel, Lucario, and Dialga).

I also used one named Gigawatt for a lot of my Platinum Nuzlocke last summer...may she

rest in piece.

But in addition to my sentimental attachment, Luxray just looks so cool.

Black and blue is one of my favorite color schemes, and seeing that on my favorite type

of Pokémon is just perfect.

I also really like just how intense it looks.

No one would mess with me if I had a Luxray for a friend.

Not that anyone messes with me now, but like, even less so with a Luxray.

Number 8 - Haxorus

So Haxorus was Number 2 on the last list, meaning the order of Torterra, Luxray, Haxorus

stayed the same.

They all just dropped six places, but whatever.

Haxorus is my favorite dragon type Pokémon because of its looks and its obscene power.

In regards to its design, I love reptilian Pokémon, so this badass lizard dragon with

giant blades on its face is obviously going to be one of my favorites.

As for its power, one of the first competitive Pokémon I ever created was a Haxorus named

Razor back in Gen 5.

I didn't IV breed him, but getting the right nature and EV training was all I needed for

him to beat the crap out of the Pokémon World Tournament in Black 2, along with a Metagross

named Optimus and a Rotom-Wash named Biz.

Because of that attachment I developed toward Haxorus, it will always be one of my favorites.

Number 7 - Talonflame

Talonflame is the first Pokémon on this list that wasn't on the original, since I hadn't

developed a liking for it at the time of making the first one.

Like Haxorus, I developed a strong liking for Talonflame after kicking a lot of butt

with it.

I've used several over the years to Gale Wings Brave Bird my opponents to oblivion,

both in the Battle Maison and VGC, and it's also a great Pokémon to keep in your party

post-game in Gen 6, since it can both Fly and has Flame Body for eggs.

Phoenix, Captain Falcon, and Hen Mother have helped me out a LOT in my various games.

Talonflame also just looks really awesome.

Its design is simple, but I think it's done extremely well.

A firey falcon that looks like it'll tear you to shreds then cook you with its own flames

is so freaking cool.

Well, it's not cool.

It's hot.

But that sounds weird.

Let's just move on.

Number 6 - Gliscor

Gliscor is another new entry on this list, but even though it's new to this list I

have always liked it.

I think it's a huge improvement on Gligar with the perfect balance of badass and friendly.

Ash's was really cool and entertaining in the anime, and I even raised a few myself

in the postgames of some old playthroughs.

But what really launched Gliscor into my Top 10 Favorite Pokémon is using one in my Platinum

Nuzlocke last summer.

Metal the Gliscor was an extremely powerful member of the team, and I really enjoyed playing

through with him.

He survived all the way up until the very last battle before Cynthia's dirty Garchomp

gave him an untimely end...but Metal really made me like Gliscor a lot, and I definitely

want to use more of them in the future.

Number 5 - Gigalith

Guys.

Gigalith is so dang cool.

He's not particularly talented, although I like that Sand Stream has made him somewhat

useful in modern VGC, but its design is excellent.

The red energy-packed spikes look so cool, and that face is one that says "If you cross

me, I will destroy you."

That's so awesome!!

The only time I ever used a Gigalith in a playthrough was Peter in my Gaia playthrough,

but due to the unfinished nature of the game, he didn't evolve until literally the last

episode.

But that's fine, I'm sure I'll get the chance to finish the game later.

Also I wanted to point out that Gigalith's shiny is my favorite shiny of any Pokémon

ever.

The bright blue crystals look so freaking awesome.

I've spent a lot of time hunting a shiny Roggenrola in my Sun version and have yet

to get one, but I WILL GET ONE!

Eventually.

Hopefully.

Number 4 - Breloom

Breloom is another new arrival on this list, and like Gliscor, I've liked it for a long

time.

The first time I played through a Pokémon game with more than one Pokémon was in Emerald

version, and my mini-team was Swampert, Torkoal, and Breloom.

But I've been reminded recently of how much I like Breloom because of my Pokémon XD Gale

of Darkness playthrough.

I got very excited when I discovered there was a shadow Shroomish, and while it was pretty

weak for a little while, once it evolved, it became a powerhouse.

Also fun fact, I named it Odd1 after theodd1sout, a YouTuber friend of mine whose favorite Pokémon

is Breloom.

Breloom is also just a very well designed Pokémon.

It's really cute, but it also looks like it'll mess you up with those claws if you're

not careful.

Because it will.

This thing has the same base attack as Garchomp, and as we've discussed, Garchomp brings

death.

Number 3 - Zebstrika

Zebstrika is another member of this list who was also on the original, but unlike the other

three, Zebstrika actually climbed, moving from spot #5 to #3, which I do have to say,

was bound to happen eventually.

Zebras are my favorite animal, and electric is my favorite type, so an electric zebra

with lightning bolt stripes is of course going to be a Pokémon I adore.

I've used a Zebstrika twice before.

The first was in my first playthrough of Unova in White Version, and the second was in my

Pokémon Gaia playthrough.

I named the Gaia one Ponky after the zebra toy I had as a small child that made me love

zebras in the first place.

I only wish that Zebstrika was stronger, but even if it's not the most powerful Pokémon

out there, I will always love it.

Number 2 - Vikavolt

Vikavolt is obviously the newest Pokémon on this list, and while it has only been less

than a year since it was first revealed, I have come to love this Pokémon very quickly.

First off, it looks SO SO COOL.

Those fearsome eyes, slick wings, and electrified pincers look super intense without making

it seem too terrifying.

Because bugs can definitely be the bad kind of scary.

But I also adore my Vikavolt named Havoc.

If you watched my Sun playthrough, you know that Havoc came in clutch on more than one

occasion, including a particularly amazing time during the Lurantis trial which I have

talked about a lot on this channel so I'm not going to talk about it again.

But anyways, Havoc is definitely my favorite member of my Sun team, and she will likely

remain one of my favorite team members for a very long time.

Number 1 - Sceptile

Sceptile is the only Pokémon on this list that didn't change at all from the first

time.

It was number one then, it's number one now, and it will be number one for the rest

of my life.

Blade the Sceptile was my very first ever Pokémon back in my first ever game Ruby,

and I crushed the entire game with him.

Including Flannery.

Then in Omega Ruby I of course named my new Sceptile Blade as an homage to the original,

plus this one was capable of mega evolution.

The best mega evolution, I might add.

I love lizards almost as much as zebras, largely in part to my love for Sceptile.

It's a badass big lizard with swords on its arms and spiky tail that looks like it

could shatter a tree with the slightest swing.

And if it does shatter a tree, Sceptile can just grow another one himself.

Few Pokémon come close to Sceptile's coolness level, and none shall ever surpass it.

That is my updated new list of my Top 10 Favorite Pokémon.

Although as we've seen, favorites can change quite a bit, so who knows what this list will

be like in a few more years?

A Spear Born of Fire: Spearhead Appears (Ep. 6) - Duration: 9:54.

Welcome to another episode of a Spear Born of Fire.

In this episode, we will actually create the spearhead.

If you have watched any of the previous episodes, you have seen a lot of the work leading up

to this.

We now have everything that is required and will put it together.

The wrought iron has been combined with the high-carbon edge steel and is now being forged

to the same width and thickness to prepare for forge-welding.

For now, I am making sure that the surfaces are straight and free of scale.

I am paying particular attention to the inside surfaces since the fit with the spear core

needs to be very tight.

You may be tired of me saying this all the time, but here it goes again, please share

these videos on your social network.

A great benefit of steel is that it is very malleable when hot.

This allows me to bend the arms back into place.

All of these manipulations are a little bit scary since I don't want any of the forge

welds to come apart and wrought iron can be a little bit tricky.

While the spearhead still requires a fair bit of extra work, I will reward you with

a quick glimpse of the pattern at the end of this video.

For now, as before, it is important to make sure that I have clean surfaces free of scale.

When forge welding, it is also very important to have a good fit.

Since I cannot aggressively forge the shape, closing up gaps will not be possible.

As you can see here, the fit is not good at the moment.

So, let's heat up the outer part and fix that.

Also, the process looks pretty easy on video, it took a couple of iterations to get right.

Closing the gap at the top opens up the arms, closing up the arms, creates more of a gap

at the top.

Since the adjustment was done at high temperatures any newly formed scale needs to be removed

again.

We are getting closer now to the final forge welding step in this project.

As before, any failure here will doom all the work we have done so far.

So, I am having a fair bit of tension about what is going to happen.

To counter that, we are taking our time and slowly tune everything till it's perfect.

As of now, you may still be wondering how this misshapen construction you have watched

over so many episodes will ever turn into a spear.

Just have a little bit more patience.

The time for the final forge weld has arrived.

Because of the irregular shape, forge welding on the power hammer is not going to be possible.

So, I have to forge weld by hand which always a little bit more difficult.

However, it looks like everything came together alright.

Now, it's time to slowly create the right profile.

I am still not entirely happy with the process that I have come up with since it wastes a

fair bit of material.

However, instead of forge welding the material back into the socket, I am only fullering

it somewhat and will remove the rest of the material on the grinder.

The plywood form closely resembles the dimensions of the Finnish spearhead and that's what we

are using to approximate the final shape.

My videos usually include a lot of visual detail that I do not explain.

If you look closely here, you can see some pieces from previous but failed attempt to

make this spear.

The grinding you are seeing here is also good for removing any of the remaining tag welds.

I am now removing the scale covering many of the forge-welding steps so that I can see

if everything has come together correctly.

There are a couple remaining forge steps and one of them is to forge in the edge bevels.

Another challenge is to avoid distorting any of the pattern welding, so there are many

iterative adjustments to make sure that the edge lines flow smoothly and that everything

remains centered.

I hope by now you have a much clearer appreciation for all the work required to make one of these

spears.

While I started with creating the socket at the beginning, I am getting back to it now

and to ensure that the taper is smooth.

And here is the result.

A spear fresh from the forge with magical patterns hiding in the steel just waiting

to be revealed.

While patience is a virtue, I think all the work so far warrants at least a little sneak

preview.

So, let's grind up a surface and take a quick look at the pattern.

The visual inspection reveals that a little bit more forging is required.

However, that's going to be a topic for the next episode.

Your Brain Tells You Time Is Real — But Is It Lying to You? | Dean Buonomano - Duration: 4:44.

So there's two general hypotheses or theories about the nature of time.

One of them we'll call Presentism.

And Presentism the notion is that only the present is real.

The past was real.

The future, some configuration of the future universe, will be real.

But for now only the present is real.

In contrast the opposing view is called Eternalism.

In Eternalism you have: the past, present and future are all equally real.

So that makes the present just an arbitrary point in time or an arbitrary moment in time.

So one way to think about this is: Now is to time as Here is to space.

So in the same sense that I happen to be here and some viewers are out at some other point

in space (and we're all comfortable with that notion that other points in space are

equally real), in Eternalism you have to be comfortable with the notion that other moments

in time are as equally real as this moment in time and this is just an arbitrary moment.

And so under that view, there are other moments—or there's a continuum of moments in time—that

are essentially already laid out within the universe.

And that universe in physics is called the Block Universe.

Under the Block Universe it makes sense to engage in a conversation about time travel,

because there's other moments to go to.

Not that this does speak to the issue of whether time travel is actually plausible or not;

it's probably not.

But it enables the conversation because other moments in time exist.

Under Presentism we can pretty much take the possibility of time travel off the table because

there's no other moments to go to—Only the present is real.

So it doesn't make sense to ask if you can travel to moments in time in the past or future

that don't exist.

Now there's a clash here between neuroscience and physics.

So intuitively time seems to be changing.

We humans experience the flow of time.

Under Eternalism, where everything is already laid out, the flow of time is a deep mystery

because it would seem to be that, if all the moments in time are already laid out within

the block universe, that the flow of time shouldn't exist or must be an illusion.

So if the flow of time, if our subjective sense of the flow of time is an illusion,

we have this clash between physics and neuroscience because the dominant theory in physics is

that we live in the Block Universe.

And I should be clear: there is no consensus.

There's no 100 percent agreement, but the standard view in physics is that—and this

comes in large part from Relativity—that we live in an Eternalist universe, in a Block

Universe, in which the past, present, and future are equally real.

So this raises the question of whether we can trust our brain to tell us that time is

flowing.

So I think we need to have an improved dialogue between physics and neuroscience here.

So on one hand we have to decide is if we want to accept that our subjective sense of

the flow of time is an objective fact about the universe.

We perceive time to be flowing; Things seem to be changing; The past seems to be vaporizing

into the past and the future seems to be wide open.

Now if it's the case that we live in the Block Universe, that seems to be illusory

in a very deep sense.

So we have to decide if we want to take our subjective sense of the flow of time as an

objective fact about the universe.

That must be explained by physics.

Or in contrast, is our subjective sense of the flow of time merely an illusion (an illusion

in the deepest sense of that word because we're perceiving something that doesn't

exist in the physical world) that physics doesn't need to explain (because it doesn't

exist)?

And thus neuroscience needs to address where the solution comes from.

And this illusion is presumably tightly coupled with the problem of consciousness.

every time you see this comments, just don't

TAMPAX PEARL TAMPON REVIEW - Regular Absorbency | ProductReviews - Duration: 5:04.

Hi guys.

Today I'm going to do a review on the Tampax Pearl regular tampon.

This is an unscented plastic applicator tampon and they're readily available really easy

to find.

I get them in 20 count boxes.

This is a staple of mine and I use these from the middle to the end of my period.

I would definitely say these are appropriate to use for first time users.

When I used a tampon for the first time it wasn't this one in particular but I used a

regular tampon so it doesn't have to be a light absorbency.

I'll show you how the size of this regular tampon compares with a superplus.

So this is the Tampax Pearl regular tampon.

They're normally yellow in color, a yellow wrapper and they have an R marked on it to

indicate the regular absorbency.

Here's a superplus tampon.

They come in an orange wrapper and they have an S+ marked on it to indicate the super plus

absorbency.

So in terms of size, comparing them.

There's not a drastic difference in terms of the width.

The regular tampons hold six to nine grams of fluid and the superplus tampons hold twelve

to fifteen grams of fluid.

Okay.

So I'll just open the Regular up now so you guys can see.

Uh they can be easily opened by these tabs that they have on the side.

So you just pull these tabs apart.

The wrapper is water proof.

It's also bag proof.

So you can put it in your bag and it won't unwrap in there like a cardboard tampon wrapper

would tend to do.

So what makes these tampons really good for beginners is the plastic applicator.

Uh just looking at it it comes in this really pretty blue color which i really like.

The applicator is not big at all.

It's about the size of my ring finger.

The tip is really smooth as well.

It's not big at all and it cover most of the tampon inside as you can see.

So it makes it easy just to glide right in.

I'll show you the tampon itself now.

So this is the tampon.

Uh, these ones tend to open up in a butterfly shape like this.

And as you can see the string is stitched right through the tampon.

All the way through.

And it has a braided string right here.

And I really think the braided string uh contributes really well to how this tampon performs.

And how it withstands leaks.

And even though it opens up in this way in actuality in your body it'll conform to the

muscular walls so it wont be like this inside your body.

It'll probably (be) more so like this.

I really enjoy these tampons.

I recommend them for first time users.
