And will never be apart of it.
Songs that I like a lot, a special care about them because they are songs that...
helped me lot to go through the way I want and searching for.
They are songs that inspire me a lot. I think "The guys did it perfectly".
Sometimes the songs are very old and...
Well, songs in my playlist that are important to where I got, where I want to go...
talking about drums. And also just to listen to, basically.
So, basically, there are ten songs that I will talk about now on this video.
Let's do it?
So, I am here with that paper that I wrote a sequence.
Not an importance sequence, but almost there. Ok?
The first song is "Water On The Brain" from Allan Holdsworth.
He's a guitar player, English, but lived in U.S for a long time.
"Water On The Brain" is a song from the 80th, that was a mark point for me.
There's a fusion language, a kind of progressive in a way...
Because the song has some odd rythms parts, It has odd measures.
Although, it's a four-by-four song, technically talking about it.
But it has some odd measures parts. So it's a hallmark song for me.
I used to listen to a kind of classic rock, pop, sometimes a direct instrumental music.
Then, when I listened to this song... I was fortunate to listen to it so early...
maybe when I was 13 or 14 years old. Not more than 15. Maybe 14.
I thought "Man, I wanna play this song. How can I do it?"
When I started I realized that it was not so easy as I thought.
So, it made me search about this world. It introduced me to the Fusion World.
The so called fusion music style. So I am thankful for this song and Allan, too.
Because he's done everything, and his team that recorded this song.
Second song is "Got Tuh B" from Tribal Tech.
I have to say, Scott Henderson was a genius, there's nothing to say about him.
A super guitar player of instrumental music.
He was also a water divisor in this world. He abused a lot from his composition.
He had no... no limit. He just did it. He did what he liked.
I am very linked to instrumental music.
I can't forget to mention a song from Tribal Tech.
For people who like fusion, funk, funk-fuison. I must mention it.
As you may know I have this fusion part that I like a lot.
Instrumental music. So this playlist is based on what I listen, as I said...
in the car. I listened to it a lot so I could develop what I like to play.
Out of Rock and Metal.
Song 3.
"Fred" from Allan Holdsworth, too.
I am not sure if this is Allan or Allan Pasqua's composition,
an excelent pianist. They wrote the song together. I don't know...
who really composed this song. But, who let it this way...
talking about name, was Allan, the guitarrist.
A guy that influences me a lot, all his musical language is...
talking about drums, the rhythmic parts that he plays.
There's a... I like... it influenced me a lot the way he applies the rhythmic parts.
This is an excellent song I listened to a lot.
And it is on "The New Lifetime" album from Tony Williams.
He's an American drummer. A water divisor from Jazz and Fusion.
I like him a lot. He's is one of the old guys I most listened to.
Unfortunately he's passed away. But I like him a lot.
Tony Williams, an excellent drummer. He played this song.
When I also listened to. It's a kind of flowed fusion.
There's a difference from the first song I talked about.
"Water On The Brain". This one hasn't so much odd measures , it flows more.
It is like a faster funk, so you can understand better the song.
So, I like it a lot.
The song 4 is "Got A Match?" from Chick Corea Elektric Band.
It's also a song if you like fusion and instrumental music. There's no escape.
There's no way to listen to it and don't be astonished by what they did.
20 years ago playing this way.
So, it's a song I always listen to. There's this language...
Jazz included. The "Question and answer" from the band.
A song that has, I don't know, 40 minutes when it's played in a concert.
Because there's a play moment. The instrumenatal solos.
One plays, then the other.
This song helped me to understand this band interaction.
There will be a drum solo...
Sometimes, Chick Corea played a phrase. Then Dave follows...
Well, the band does this instrumental sharing.
The fifth songs is from Weather Report.
It's called "Molasses Run".
It's a very good song. I don't know the original, but the one I listened...
I think, I am almost sure that it's the original.
It's played by Omar Hakin the version I most liked because of it I am talking about.
There's no reason to say for sure who's the original drummer.
But it is with Omar Hakin on drums. A drummer I like a lot.
He's from funk and pop. He recorded so many pop artists in U.S and the world.
This song has a very beautiful groove, funk-fusion in the middle.
It has a kind of dark vibe, kind of weird...
When I listened to I liked a lot.
I've seen on Omar Hakin video class. It's a very old video class. End of 80th.
Not so old, but old. Maybe in 88 or 89.
I have seen him playing with his band, after I discovered that it's a Weather's song.
It's an amazing song, this one.
Song number 6. "Low Blow" from the bass player Victor Bailey.
He also played the bass on Omar Hakin's video class.
The song is more modern. I think it's in 2000 more or less.
Victor Bailey has died last year. Unfortunately. He was a great musican.
He had a sickness that was degenarating his inferior parts.
It's a pity for instrumental music. He's passed away so early.
But he's done many things. The drums of this song Omar Hakin recorded, as well.
An excellent song. There's a wonderful melody. There's a lighter atmosphere.
A lighter vibe. But also on this instrumental funk.
It has an amazing melody on the begining.
It worths to listen to if you enjoy this kind of music.
Now, it's a Metal side. It's a song from Meshuggah.
"Future Breed Machine".
A song from Meshuggah. It has a very interesting surprise in the middle.
For whom like double bass, double pedals.
Metal in general.
The song is very cool, a very good one. It's very aggressive.
I want to emphasise this aggressiveness of the song.
And also this rythmic surprise in the middle that is very interesting.
When they released it, I don't know the date, but I am sure that...
was something very modern relating the time it was done.
Meshuggah has brought this. A modernity beyond time and today...
many bands go this way and Meshuggah is, if not the main creator of the style,
it's one of the main. Number 1, for sure.
This song represents a lot what I like to listen from Meshuggah.
And this is what I take from this Metal side, this aggressiveness to my songs.
I like to follow this path.
The song number 8. "Watcher Of The Skies" from Genesis
It's from an old phase of Genesis, a crazy phase, prog... Awesome!
It's a song that has no limits. I am saying this because it's my impression, of course.
I don't know what they meant when they composed this song.
But, it's my own impression.
A song that has a light atmosphere, but also dark because it changes the rythm...
and timing in this song. You say "Man, these guys are mad".
Like... There's no limit. "We want to speed it up. How can we do it?".
"This way!". Done! Without... "Let's go this way to play this speed, then..."
I consider this a very progressive way, I know the name "prog" suggests this.
You build the progression, I am not talking about harmony, but in general concept.
To get somewhere. But I think that it comes from the progressive way.
It has many... I don't know, Emerson Lake and Palmer, a great trio.
Awesome! Rush... Bands I like a lot. I am linked to progressive,
rock and metal prog. I am very linked to progressive.
So, this song from Genesis talks a lot about like... we have to show a nice melody,
to show a nice context, but also, "the song is mine. I will speed it up", for example.
"Take it". Got it?
So, I have this feeling. This song inspires me a lot to think out of the box,
when I want to compose something more Rock and Metal.
Even though being totally progressive and with a little distorted guitar and etc.
But it's a very progressive and interesting song. I like it very much.
Ninth song. "Changes" from Yes.
What to say about this song? A classical, progressive one.
I don't know. It's difficult to talk about this song.
Because I like the song, I didn't choose like the other, analyzing technically.
Considering my studies, my studies on drums, actually.
Or the songs, the composition studies.
This song has a context, a consistency worthy from Yes.
The lyrics are so nice, as well. So "Changes" from Yes is the ninth.
As I said, there is no exact order, a classification of what I like more or not.
But I tried to do it.
There's also "Rumples" from Chris Potter.
He's a saxophonist, American. It's a direct song, a funk, a direct funk.
It's a real direct song, straight to the point.
In relation with its instrumental, very open, a lot of improvise, but it's straight to the point.
It has a theme, a very jazz theme. Melody and stuff.
The drums go very straight, very funk.
But, what called my attention for this song was the guitar solo.
It's something, I can tell... you who is listening to me.
It's something to you that don't know a lot about my personal stuff.
This kind of guitar solo really calls my attention.
I say "Oh gosh!".
So, it's one of the things.
I was listening and everything was good. The theme was excellent. I stopped on it...
When I first listened to the song I said "Let's listen again".
Then I listened, listened on and on and on...
When I listened to the guitar solo I got... "Stop it!"
Oh, I hit the laptop here. Look at this.
I thought "No, these guys are kidding me".
So, this song I pointed out because of it.
I like it a lot. It's a direct funk. There's not so much link with drums.
It's more because I like not a technical analyzes, I can say.
It's something that I listened and liked it a lot.
There's a feeling, you know?

I've done things that people have considered to be "brave" a few times in my life.
At the age of just 17, I left everything and everyone I ever loved and with only a few
hundred dollars in my pocket and moved to a city where I knew literally no one in order
to pursue a dream.
It failed miserably.
But my life was completely changed.
I literally wouldn't be the person I currently am, doing what I am currently doing, had I
not done that.
At the age of 23 I held my breath with anticipation as I clicked the "upload" button for the

The art, my art, myself, my creativity that had never been good enough was on the table
and I was terrified.

I'm fearful, I'm dependent on encouragement from people like my husband, and I'm insecure
in almost everything I do.
If anything, I'm very determined.
Fun fact about me, determination is the driving force behind everything that I am and everything
that I do.
I will reach my goals.
I won't let the words of everyone who said "You're not good enough" "You're helpless."
"You will always give up when it's too hard because you're incapable" I'm not going

So what the heck is the 30 days of brave challenge anyway?
Every day for 30 days, you're going to get an email in your inbox with some daily inspiration
and a 5 minute activity that will help you achieve your goal.
It can be something as big as starting a youtube channel or talking confidently in front of
a group of people.
Or as small as getting better at drawing, or coding, or music.
All you have do to do that, is make the decision to be just a little bit more brave than you
were yesterday and take back what your fear and insecurity has tried to take from you.
So I'm sure you're then asking yourself "What are you so afraid of doing Crystal?
What was your 30 day challenge?"
Time for some backstory: between the ages of 13 to 14m I went from 5''6'' to
5'11'' in like, 3 months.
I then was extremely skinny to the point that most people assumed I was anorexic.
Couple that with debilitating social anxiety and an affiliation for things most people
considered to be "weird" and you then get the nick name "Ugly Freak" and some
really bad posture.
Even after a few years, when I finally grew into myself and started modeling, that insecurity
never went away.
The pressure that comes with modeling, of always being perfect and sexy and skinny was
overwhelming and it wasn't long before I found myself over a toilet trying to get rid
of lunch with the words "ugly freak" echoing in my head.
And to this day, I thank God that I was not physically able to do it.
I had to give up.
I couldn't make myself throw up.
After giving up, I just sat on the cold floor thinking "What am I doing?"
I've always felt like a foreigner in my own body.
So when I found about about the 30 days of brave challenge, I wanted to take my body
back and do the one thing I've always been too afraid to do, pole dancing.
Understandably, before your judgement gets all up in the comments, Pole dancing get's
a bad rep, I know that.
But what a lot of people don't know is that it is an art form similar to that of contemporary
dance and it is a sport.
It takes some serious strength and confidence and grace and emotional vulnerability.
I do not deny in any way that it can totally be used for sexy type purposes but it can
also be more than that if you want it to be.
And once I completed my 30 day challenge, took the dive, and walked into that class,
I actually found out that at any given moment when pole dancing, there is not one muscle
in your body that is not doing something.
I also discovered at any given moment when pole dancing, I am smiling like a complete
idiot.
Even if I did look like a salmon.
The whole way to the class, I was nervous and worried that this whole video actually
was going to be a mistake.
What were people going to say?
What were people going to think of me?
Of my past?
Of what I'm doing?
Of pole dancing?
But then I remembered what I learned over these last 30 days.
I am capable.
I am present.
I am committed.
and I am inspired.
I've worked for this moment and I'm going to back down.
All of that other stuff was my insecurity talking.
And I did things I never thought I would be physically able to do.
I surprised myself and It was so worth it.

zamanın önemi yoktur ki bu alametlerin çıkışı Hristiyanların kendi çabalarına bağlanmaktadır.
Hristiyanlıkta Mehdinin çıkış alametleri Müslümanların yer yüzünde kuvvetlenmeye
başlaması, Hristiyan Devletlerle savaşması, orta doğuda İsrail devleti kurulması, İstanbul'un
tekrar Hristiyanlaştırılması ve önemlisi de herkesin yakından bildiği gibi Armegeddon
savaşlarının başlayarak sonlanması ile Mehdi zuhur edecektir.
Nitekim evanjelizm, opus dei gibi bazı radikal Hristiyan tarikatlerinin tüm güçleri ile
Armegeddon savaşlarını başlatma çabaları da bu inançtan öte gelmektedir.
Mehdi'nin zuhur etmesi ile yeni bir Hristiyanlık anlayışı doğacak, İnciller birleşecek
ve tüm Hristiyan mezhepleri bu inanç altında birlik sağlayacaktır.
Daha sonra ise tüm Yahudiler Hristiyanlığı kabul edece dünyada sadece Hristiyanlık
ve Müslümanlık kalacaktır.
İsa Mesihin de gelmesi ile Müslümanlara karşı top yekün bir savaş başlayacaktır.
Kuran-i Kerim de bahsedilen kıyametin en büyük alametlerinden bir tanesi de Hz Mehdi'nin
zuhurudur.
Hz Mehdi yüzyıllardır İslam alimlerini derin fikir ayrılıklarına sürüklemişse
de sırrını halen korumaktadır.
Hazreti Mehdi, Kıyamet Arefesin de gönderileceği Peygamber Efendimiz tarafından bildirilmiş
olan, Müslümanları zulüm ve sıkıntı ortamından kurtaracak, dünyada ki kötülükleri
ortadan kaldıracak, tüm dünyaya barış, adalet, bolluk, huzur, mutluluk ve refah getirecek
kutlu bir kişidir.
Peygamberimiz'den aktarılan sahih hadislere göre Hz.
Mehdi, çeşitli hurafelerle, batıl inanç ve uygulamalarla aslından uzaklaştırılmış
olan dini özüne döndürecek, Hz.
İsa ile buluşacak, Bir eteği Avrupa da diğer eteği Asya da olan İstanbul başkentli
büyük bir İslam devleti kuracak ve İslam'ı yer yüzünde güçlü bir konuma getirecektir.
Bu sebepledir ki Müslümanlar ne zaman dara düşseler Hz Mehdiyi hatırlamış ve onun
zuhur ettiğine dair çeşitli rivayetler tarih boyunca ortaya atılmıştır.
Günümüzde de olduğu gibi Mehdilik iddia eden yüzlerce kendini bilmez tarihte boy
göstermiş, sapkın tarikatler kurup itikatlara zarar vermişlerdir.
Nitekim Hz Mehdi'nin çıkış alametleri ve kişisel özellikleri ile alakalı bilgileri
bu kaldırım altı mehdileri ne kadar çekip çekiştirmeye çalışsa da hatta olmayan
hadisleri varmış gibi uydursalar da Peygamberimiz konuyla alakalı tüm şüphelerden uzak kesin
ve net bilgiler vererek ümmetinin gelecekte onu tanıyabilmesi için tüm gerekli bilgileri
aktarmıştır.
Nitekim Hz Mehdi Peygamberimizin soyundan olacaktır bir sohbetin de efendimiz şöyle
buyurmuştur.
"Mehdi benim soyumdandır.
İsmi Benim ismim ve künyesi Benim künyem, şekli Benim şeklim, sünnet ve tavrı Benim
sünnetim ve tavrımdır.
Halkı Benim şeriatıma, dinime teşvik eder ve Rabbimin Kitabına davet eder.
O'na itaat eden Bana itaat etmiştir ve O'na muhalefet eden Bana muhalefet etmiştir,
O'nun gaybetini inkâr eden beni inkâr etmiştir."
Mütevatir hadisler'de Hz Mehdi Medine'de doğacak ve Hz Muhammed SAV'ın soyundan
gelecektir.
30 lu yaşlarında Yemen'de yerel ulama tarafından Mehdi ilan edilecek fakat o bunu
kabul etmeyerek Mekke'ye geçecektir.
Mekke uleması tarafından 2.
Defa Mehdi ilan edildiğinde bu sefer kabul ederek görevine başlayacağı belirtilmişsede
günümüz de nice iş güzarlar Arap edebiyatına atıfta bulunarak Mekke'nin tüm büyük
şehirler için kullanıldığı dolayısı ile bu büyük şehrin İstanbul olduğu yönünde
aslı astarı olmayan söylemler türetmektedir.
Göreve başlamasının ardından Hz Mehdi A.S.
Kabe'nin hazinelerini çıkartacak ve kutsal ahid sandığı gibi nice önemli emanetleri
bulacaktır.
Cenab-ı Allah Hz Mehdiyi bir takım mucizelerle kuşatmıştır.
Örneğin başının üzerinden bulutlar bu islamın imamı Hz Mehdi'dir diye nida edecek,
Kendisine karşı çıkanlara Melekler arkadan ve önden saldıracaktır.
Buna benzer başkaca bir çok mucizesi daha olacak böylece Müslümanlar onu rahatlıkla
diğer sahtekarlardan ayırt edebilecektir.
Mehdiyat konusunda ki en önemli tartışmalardan bir taneside Hz Mhedi'nin çıkış tarihidir.
Bir çok islam alimi bu konularda gerek ayetler üzerine ebced hesapları yapmak gerekse ilham
vasıtasıyla bazı tarihler ortaya atmışlarsada belirttikleri tarihlerde Mehdi'nin zuhuru
gerçekleşmemiştir.
Günümüzde de tüm tarih boyunca olduğu gibi gerek bazı islam alimlerince olsun gerekse
bu konuda nemalanmak isteyen bazı sahtekarlar olsun Hz Mehdinin birkaç yıl içerisinde
çıkacağını hatta şu anda yaşadığını beyan etmektedirler.
Ancak bu konuda son derece yanlıştır.
Zaten Hz Mehdi'nin Zuhuru için gerekli şartlarda oluşmamıştır.
Örneğin Hz Mehdinin çıkacağı dönemde Dünya'da çok az Müslüman olacağı İslam
dininin yok olmak üzere olduğu bir anda Zuhur edeceği Mütevatir hadislerde açık
şekilde şüpheye yer bırakmaksızın beyan edilmektedir.
Günümüz de ise böyle bir durum söz konusu değildir.
Nitekim dünya çapında yapılan bir çok araştırma neticesinde İslam dininin dünyada
en hızlı yayılan din olduğu açıkça görülmektedir.
Ayrıca İslam dininin en sahih kaynaklarından bir tanesi olan Büyük alim İmam-ı Rabbani'nin
Mektubat-ı Rabbani'de naklettiği hadislerde Hz Mehdi'nin hicri takvime göre yüzün
başına zuhur edeceği açıkça ifade edilmiştir.
Günümüzde ise bu yüz yılın başı fazlasıyla geçmiş artık ortaları yaşanmaktadır.
Elbette ki en doğrusunu Allah bilir.
Ancak Mehdiyat olgusunun İslam alemi üzerinde yarattığı çok daha büyük bir hendikap
daha var.
Dünyada 2 milyara yakın Müslüman var.
Nüfusunun çoğunluğu Müslüman olan bir çok ülkede hali hazırda dünya sahnesin
de ki aktörlerden.
Bunların bazıları güçlü bazıları ise güçsüz devletlerden oluşmakta.
Dünyanın günümüzde ki yapısı Museviler, Hristiyanlar ve Müslümanlar olarak 3 kutba
ayrılmıştır.
Hristiyanlar Vatikan'a bağlıdır ve genel olarak Hristiyan devletlerin liderleri her
ne kadar İnkar edilse de Vatikan'ın güdümünde hareket ederler.
Musevilikse tüm dünyayı pençeleri ile saran ve sahnenin asıl sahibi siyonizmin
direktifleri altında istikametini sürdürmektedir.
İslam alemi ise Hilafetin lav edilmesi ile oto kontrol mekanizmasını kaybetmiş ve
Müslüman ülkeler zayıf düşerek siyonizmin kuklası haline gelmiştir.
Bölgesel olarak kendisini halife ilan eden liderler olduysa da bunlar bir itibar görmemişlerdir.
Nitekim Hilafetin alamete-i faikalarına sahip değillerdir.
Bir kişinin halife olabilmesi için öncelikle son halife yahut onun varisi tarafından Halife
ilan edilmeli Hz Muhammed SAV'ın hırkasını giyerek onun sancağını ve kılıcını

Sosyal medyada ve diğer platformlarda İslam'ı en ateşli şekilde savunan bunun için başkalarına
saldırıp hakaret etmekten dahi geri durmayan kişilerin bir çoğu namazın nasıl kılınacağını
dahi bilmeyen kulaktan dolma bilgilerle körü körüne Müslüman olduklarını zanneden
cahil kimselerdir.
Nitekim yapılan kamuoyu araştırmalarında sokakta Müslüman olduğunu söyleyen her
10 kişiden 8'inin kuran-i kerimin Türkçe mealini bir kere dahi okumadıkları.
Yine her 10 kişiden 7 sinin sadece Cuma namazlarını kıldığı, Her 10 kişiden 8'inin İslam
Peygamberi HZ Muhammed SAV'ın kabrinin hangi şehirde olduğunu dahi bilmediği gibi
acı bir gerçek ortaya çıkmaktadır.
Bir insan nasıl ki durduk yere ben Doktorum, ben avukatım ben mühendisim diyemiyorsa
işte Müslüman olmakta aynı bu saydıklarımız gibi söylemler çerçevesinde dahil olunabilecek
bir olgu değildir.
Müslüman olabilmek için hayatın her alanında olduğu gibi eğitim gereklidir.
İslam dininin kendi iç dinamikleri gereği iman dairesinde kalınabilmesi son derece
hassas bir dengedir örneği bir kişi helali haram haramı helal sayarsa veya kafir olmayan
bir kişiye kafirlik sıfatı yüklerse yahut Kuran-i kerimde veya sahih hadislerde geçen
her han gibi bir olayı yalanlarsa iman dairesinden çıkarak mürted olmaktadır.
Sizlerin de hayatınızda sık sık gördüğünüz gibi ne yazık ki halkımızın din konusun
da ki bu cehaleti neticesinde bir çokları sosyal medyada dahi bir başkasını kafirlikle
çok rahat şekilde suçlayabiliyor veya bir ayet ya da hadisi inkar edip kendi inandıkları
çerçevesinde hadiselere farklı bir yorum getirebiliyor bu durumda o son derece dindar
görünen kimseler aslında dinden çıkmış oluyor.
Ülkemizde ki insanların büyük kısmı bu şekilde imanını kaybetmekte fakat kendilerini
halen Müslüman zannetmektedirler.
Bir başka durumda Ülkemiz de insanlar genel olarak geçim sıkıntısı çekmekte ve devlet
nazarında halkın batılı ülkelerde olduğu gibi refah seviyesi gözetilmeyerek insanlara
değer verilmemektedir.
Bu bağlamda halkın özellikle gençlerin büyük kısmı geleceğe güvensiz ve umutsuzdur.
Diğer Müslüman ülkelerin de bir çoğunda durum böyledir.
İşte bu teokratik ve sosyolojik durumu son derece iyi gözlemleyen Mossad ve CIA gibi
yabancı istihbarat servisleri Müslümanlar arasında nasılsa Mehdi gelecek, elimizden
bir şey gelmiyor, Mehdiyi bekliyoruz, Mehdi gelince her şey düzelecek, biz bir şey
yapamayız tarzı bir düşünce anlayışı aşılamakta ve çoğu cahil Müslüman buna
aldanarak rehavete kapılmaktadır.

What in your life would you do, that you're not currently doing, if fear or insecurity
or anxiety weren't holding you back?
If anything was possible?
If the voices of your doubters or that little voice in your head telling you that you can't
or that you're not good enough, didn't exist?
Believe it or not, that idea is more than an inspiring, 5 minute Casey Neistat video.
It's real.
I've done things that people have considered to be "brave" a few times in my life.
At the age of just 17, I left everything and everyone I ever loved and with only a few
hundred dollars in my pocket and moved to a city where I knew literally no one in order
to pursue a dream.
It failed miserably.
But my life was completely changed.
I literally wouldn't be the person I currently am, doing what I am currently doing, had I
not done that.
At the age of 23 I held my breath with anticipation as I clicked the "upload" button for the
first time, awaiting judgment from the internet for my very own youtube channel.
The art, my art, myself, my creativity that had never been good enough was on the table
and I was terrified.
Actually every upload to this day is clouded with thoughts like "this isn't even good."
"Thyey're not going to like it."
"Why am I even trying?"
But I upload anyway.
And because I upload anyway, have friends I could have literally never had and I have
a community of people who for some reason like what I make and they route me on every
single time I press that upload button.
They give me a sense of purpose and community.
You might think, wow Crystal you're confident and independent and secure.
No!
The truth is, I'm not.
I'm fearful, I'm dependent on encouragement from people like my husband, and I'm insecure
in almost everything I do.
If anything, I'm very determined.
Fun fact about me, determination is the driving force behind everything that I am and everything
that I do.
I will reach my goals.
I won't let the words of everyone who said "You're not good enough" "You're helpless."
"You will always give up when it's too hard because you're incapable" I'm not going
to let that dictate the results of my life.
I won't let them win.
Being brave is acting in spite of those voices, in spite of that fear and using your determination
to propel you into your fullest potential.
And in just 30 days, with the 30 days of brave challenge, my determination helped me conquer
one of my longest standing fears.
My body.
So what the heck is the 30 days of brave challenge anyway?
Every day for 30 days, you're going to get an email in your inbox with some daily inspiration
and a 5 minute activity that will help you achieve your goal.
It can be something as big as starting a youtube channel or talking confidently in front of
a group of people.
Or as small as getting better at drawing, or coding, or music.
All you have do to do that, is make the decision to be just a little bit more brave than you
were yesterday and take back what your fear and insecurity has tried to take from you.
So I'm sure you're then asking yourself "What are you so afraid of doing Crystal?
What was your 30 day challenge?"
Time for some backstory: between the ages of 13 to 14m I went from 5''6'' to
5'11'' in like, 3 months.
I then was extremely skinny to the point that most people assumed I was anorexic.
Couple that with debilitating social anxiety and an affiliation for things most people
considered to be "weird" and you then get the nick name "Ugly Freak" and some
really bad posture.
Even after a few years, when I finally grew into myself and started modeling, that insecurity
never went away.
The pressure that comes with modeling, of always being perfect and sexy and skinny was
overwhelming and it wasn't long before I found myself over a toilet trying to get rid
of lunch with the words "ugly freak" echoing in my head.
And to this day, I thank God that I was not physically able to do it.
I had to give up.
I couldn't make myself throw up.
After giving up, I just sat on the cold floor thinking "What am I doing?"
I've always felt like a foreigner in my own body.
So when I found about about the 30 days of brave challenge, I wanted to take my body
back and do the one thing I've always been too afraid to do, pole dancing.
Understandably, before your judgement gets all up in the comments, Pole dancing get's
a bad rep, I know that.
But what a lot of people don't know is that it is an art form similar to that of contemporary
dance and it is a sport.
It takes some serious strength and confidence and grace and emotional vulnerability.
I do not deny in any way that it can totally be used for sexy type purposes but it can
also be more than that if you want it to be.
And once I completed my 30 day challenge, took the dive, and walked into that class,
I actually found out that at any given moment when pole dancing, there is not one muscle
in your body that is not doing something.
I also discovered at any given moment when pole dancing, I am smiling like a complete
idiot.
Even if I did look like a salmon.
The whole way to the class, I was nervous and worried that this whole video actually
was going to be a mistake.
What were people going to say?
What were people going to think of me?
Of my past?
Of what I'm doing?
Of pole dancing?
But then I remembered what I learned over these last 30 days.
I am capable.
I am present.
I am committed.
and I am inspired.
I've worked for this moment and I'm going to back down.
All of that other stuff was my insecurity talking.
And I did things I never thought I would be physically able to do.
I surprised myself and It was so worth it.

all the facts about Minecraft that you likely didn't know.
Number 15: And on the seventh day,
he rested.
The Minecraft that we know today is a massive and expansive game,
which is amazing considering
how fast the first build of the game was made.
Markus 'Notch' Persson has gone on record as stating
that the first build of Minecraft
was completed in just six days.
Whoa. - You heard right.
Starting development
on May 10th 2009 and ending in May 16th.
Even though this was a very early build of the game
that lacks many of the features
that we have come to love about Minecraft,
this is not a lot of time to make any game,
and yet way, way better than Duke Nukem Forever.
Number 14: What the hell is Cave game?
Speaking of the first build of Minecraft,
during the early stages of the game's development,
the game went under the name of Cave Game.
During the six-development day cycle mentioned before,
the game underwent two more name changes
with Notch renaming the game
Minecraft: Order of the Stone and then just Minecraft
before the game's first public release
on May 17th 2009.
Bonus fact, the Order of the Stone name
was later reused
in Minecraft: Story Mode as a name
for a group of legendary adventurers.
Number 13: Minecraft's various inspirations.
Much like da Vinci had Mona Lisa,
Stephen King had The Stanley Hotel,
and Ride to Hell: Retribution had Superman 64...

When creating Minecraft,
Notch drew inspiration from all over the place.
These sources included
theme park creation simulator RollerCoaster Tycoon,
the construction game Dwarf Fortress,
and strategy game Dungeon Keeper.
You can see where Notch borrowed
from these titles
the Minecraft's own creation mechanics,
world exploration, and graphical design,
and it's safe to say
that Minecraft might never have existed
if it weren't for these groundbreaking games.
Even more obvious is the inspiration Notch drew
from Infiniminer,
a competitive game about destroying procedurally
generated blocks.

a glitch occurred, a glitch which ended up becoming
the basis for what is now known as the Creeper.
Number 11: An apple a day.
Not only are people able to create
their own world within Minecraft,
but they are also able to create their own avatars
that they're able to use within the game world
and during online play.
While every avatar is unique in their own right
as might be expected,
Notch's online avatar has a feature
that none of the others have.
When an avatar is killed,
they sometimes can drop materials
and other items
that can be pillaged by other people.
Notch's avatar is no exception, except for one thing.
When killed, Notch drops an apple.
Notch's avatar is the only one capable of dropping this item,
giving his character just a small special touch
that others can't have.
Is this a biblical reference
to the forbidden fruit taken from the Tree of Knowledge?
Does Notch know something we don't?
Or are we reading too much into this?
Maybe he just likes apple pie.
Either way, all we know is that for the rest of us, no apples.
Sorry. Number ten: Building a nation.
It takes some time and dedication
to create the perfect world in Minecraft.
It takes meticulous attention
to detail to make the perfect creation
more so than most have.
So could you imagine the kind of commitment it takes
to create an entire real-life nation in Minecraft?
Well, this is what the government of Denmark did,
creating the entirety of their country
brick by brick in Minecraft.
The reason that they did this was to use it
as a teaching tool,
believing that through the use of Minecraft
that they could get kids interested in geography.
This might have worked too,
except some @#$%! decided
to hack the server that Minecraft Denmark was on,
blowing up the creation like that jerk on the beach
that smashed your sandcastle's
when you were a kid into oblivion while laughing.
Yeah, that's right, Mitch from second grade.
I haven't forgotten, okay.
Number nine: Do your homework.
Speaking of using Minecraft to learn,
Minecraft is a part of a Swedish school's curriculum.
At the Viktor Rydberg Secondary School
in Stockholm, Sweden,
playing Minecraft is a required part of the learning experience
for their 13-year-old students.
The reason for this
is to teach kids to use their imagination
and creativity
while also teaching them about city planning
and environmental issues.
Now if we can only find a valid reason
to play Overwatch in schools, then we'd all be happy.
Defend the objective.
Mercy! I need healing.
Hanzo, stop doing whatever it is that you're doing.
See, there are skills
that could be applied to real life.
Number eight: The Far Lands.
Minecraft may seem like an endless expanse
that the player can explore,
but it isn't as infinite as it seems.
At the far edges of the map,
the terrains start to glitch and become distorted.
See that shadowy place, that's beyond our borders.
You must never go there, Simba.
This place has been dubbed by Notch as the Far Lands,
and despite their glitchness,
Notch had no plans to patch the Far Lands
as he determined that no-one could ever make it
that far.
Well, as is the Internet's penchant,
when you tell them they can't do something,
someone will try and do it anyway.
After Notch made the aforementioned claim,
Gamer Kurt J Mac started a more than three-year journey
in search of the Far Lands.
While documenting his journey on YouTube,
Mac's quest has done some good,
raising a bunch of money for charity
during live streams along the way.
Number seven: Enderman language.
Much like their inspiration, the urban legend Slenderman,
the Endermen are some of the creepiest enemies
you can encounter in any game,
making disturbing and odd noises as they attack your player.
As creepy as the sounds the Endermen make can be,
the origin of their sounds
is not as strange as you may think.
The sound that the Endermen make are in reality various phrases
in the English language slowed down,
distorted, and reversed.
Knowing this doesn't make
the Enderman any less frightening.
However, as when the phrases
are reversed back to normal English,
they sound even more like
the growlings of a demon than they did before.
Number six: Ghastly cats.
If you find
the origin of Enderman's language intriguing,
it has nothing on the origins of the monsters known as Ghast.
Daniel Rosenfield accidentally woke up his cat
during a recording session
and the mike picked up the sound it made.
While these sounds were going to be used
for the ocelots in the game,
the sounds the cat made were deemed to be too tame
and were instead given to the Ghast,
which made those enemies all the more adorable.
Number five: By the numbers.
To date, nearly 26 million people
have bought Minecraft for PC and Mac devices.
This number does not take into account the number of sales
for home consoles or mobile devices
and by itself is more than the population
than the entirety of New York State.
Also, it is estimated that at any given time,
there are around
one million people online playing Minecraft.
That's a lot of bricks, people.
Number four: Minecraft on YouTube.
If you ever wondered how to make content
that will get viewed on YouTube,
making Minecraft videos is definitely the way to go.
According to a 2014 article by the website Tubular Insights,
Minecraft videos on YouTube
have garnered a combined 31 billion views.
Yes, that's billion with a B as in boy.
This outranks
any other popular game on the website
with number two, Grand Theft Auto,
falling behind by nearly 20 billion views.
These numbers have grown since.
And with the limitless potential
for creating new content in the game,
it shows no signs of slowing down.
Number three: Getting the message.
Anyone who has played Minecraft knows
that on the start screen for the game
a little yellow message will accompany the title
with witty little lines such as, "Treatment for your rash"
among others.
There are over 350 of these little splash messages
that can appear when you boot up the game
with even more having been added through updates.
This makes it likely that you will find
a new message every time you boot up the game
and makes Minecraft kind of like a little,
I don't know, souped-up videogame version
of those quote-a-day calendars or your personal fortune cookie.
Number two: Bouncing Beyoncé.
Many people are aware
that Microsoft had bought the Minecraft brand
from Creator Notch for a whopping $2.5 billion.
But do you know what
Notch ended up doing with that money?
For $70 million out of what he earned,
Notch bought himself a manor in Hollywood,
reminiscent of a mini castle.
That must be really nice.
Notch earned this enormous domicile
by outbidding none other than Beyoncé
and Jay Z for the place.
Yes, that Beyoncé and Jay Z.
The fact that we live in a world
where a man who created a video game
in six days can outbid
one of the biggest recording artists of all time
for anything at all is just really awesome.
Number one: It all started with a tweet.
So what was the catalyst that led Notch to sign
to Microsoft and, as a result,
outbidding Beyoncé and Jay Z for his Hollywood mansion.
Well, it all started with a simple tweet
claiming that he had had enough
of corporate @#$%!.
Notch sent out a tweet in June of 2014
stating that he was gauging interest
in a potential buyout for his shares
in Company Mojang stocks.
This was the first time he had stated this publicly.
Three months later,
Microsoft came knocking on the door
with a cool $2.5 billion offer,
and well, the rest is now gaming history.
There you have it, folks, the Minecraft facts
that you probably didn't know.

The Mighty Ducks might never have made it to the screen if weren't for Wayne Gretzky's
trade to the LA Kings in 1988, a move that sparked an increased interest in ice hockey
throughout Los Angeles — and didn't go unnoticed by Hollywood execs.
Steven Brill's script about a down-and-out lawyer taking over a useless pee-wee team
was picked up by Disney, and the Mouse House quickly set about preparing sequels after
the box office success of the 1992 original.
Coach Gordon Bombay and his ragtag roster of players triple-deked their way into pop
culture history.
"Ducks never say die.
Ever seen a duck fight?
No way.
Why?
'Cause the other animals are afraid"
But you can't play pee-wee forever, and Bombay's ducklings are now all grown up — and not
all of them found Hollywood success after leaving the nest.
Emilio Estevez
The role of Gordon Bombay allowed Emilio Estevez to shake off the Brat Pack tag he carried
throughout the '80s.
He'd already attempted to move away from coming-of-age dramedies with his turn as Billy the Kid in
the Young Guns movies, though Bombay was his first real grown-up character.
He carried on acting into the late '90s and early '00s, but now spends much of his time
writing and directing.
He still holds Gordon Bombay close to his heart, however, which he proved in 2015 when
he live-tweeted support for the Anaheim Ducks during their playoff showdown with the Chicago
Blackhawks.
Joshua Jackson
The part of championship-winning penalty scorer Charlie Conway was originally supposed to
be played by a young Jake Gyllenhaal, who was offered the part on the back of his performance
as Billy Crystal's son 1991's City Slickers.
Joshua Jackson stepped in when Jake couldn't take it, which kickstarted a career that's
grown to include five-season stints on Dawson's Creek and Fringe.
Jackson made his transition from movies to TV after taking his final bow as Charlie in
1996's Mighty Ducks threequel, D3, and he remains a man of the small screen today, starring
in Showtime's The Affair.
Elden Henson
It's hard to believe Matt Murdock's loveable sidekick Foggy Nelson is the same guy that
played hulking enforcer Fulton Reed.
Elden Henson made his first appearance in The Mighty Ducks when members of the team
were cornered by players from their rival team the Hawks, dispatching the bullies with
ease.
Henson went on to be a key member of the team and the cast over the course of the three
movies.
But when the Ducks disbanded, he struggled to make an impact in the show biz industry,
resorting to supporting parts in such films as The Butterfly Effect.
Henson's fortunes have a taken a turn for the better over recent years — not only
on the big screen, when he played the part of Pollux in the two-part Hunger Games finale,
but on television, too.
He's portrayed well-meaning lawyer Foggy in Netflix's Daredevil, as well as in the team-up
series The Defenders.
Shaun Weiss
Before making his film debut in The Mighty Ducks, Shaun Weiss worked on several TV shows,
including an early appearance on The Cosby Show.
By 1992, he'd grown into a big-boned 14-year-old and was considered a perfect fit for the role
of goalie Greg Goldberg.
"Ah I smell something."
"Goldberg!"
He went on to portray the flatulent goalie in the Ducks sequels, taking time off between
them to star in early Ben Stiller comedy Heavyweights, a film that went on to amass a cult following
of its own.
Weiss saw the '90s out with a four-episode stint on Judd Apatow's Freaks and Geeks — though
the next decade wasn't kind to him, with his most significant appearance in a feature film
coming as the unnamed bus driver in 2008's Drillbit Taylor.
Matt Doherty
After taking the part of Lester Averman in the Mighty Ducks movies, Matt Doherty got
another '90s classic on his resume in So I Married an Axe Murderer.
As he approached adulthood, roles started to dry up for Doherty, and he walked the tightrope
between supporting actor and extra.
In recent years, he's turned to TV movies and found some success on the sci-fi small
screen scene.
Garette Henson
This young star got off to a flying start with his movie career, appearing in ten feature
films over a six-year period.
He made his bow in Arachnophobia, for example, but Garette Henson is perhaps best remembered
as Guy Germaine from The Mighty Ducks movies.
While he admits to enjoying a chat about the Ducks today, being associated with the films
started to wear thin towards the end of the decade.
He ultimately stepped away from acting to pursue college and made a brief return to
the biz in 2007 when he played a prisoner in The Mannsfield 12.
He's now busy working behind the lens.
Danny Tamberelli
Italian-American actor and musician Danny Tamberelli played the role of defenseman Tommy
Duncan in The Mighty Ducks, though he didn't return for either of the sequels.
Instead, Tamberelli opted to take on the role of Little Pete Wrigley in Nickelodeon's The
Adventures of Pete and Pete, the role that he's still best remembered for.
The kids' network added him to the cast of their slimy game show Figure It Out and their
live sketch comedy All That in the late '90s, though he departed from Nickelodeon at the
turn of the millennium and transitioned into voice work, music, and comedy.
Nowadays Tamberelli fronts Brooklyn-based rock band Jounce.
Jussie Smollett
Justin "Jussie" Smollett recently pulled off a comeback worthy of the Mighty Ducks, turning
his fading career around and putting himself firmly back on the Hollywood map.
Smollett appeared in the first Ducks movie but didn't reprise the role of Terry Hall
in either sequel, and it wasn't until the 2010s, when landed a career-making role in
Fox's hit series Empire that things got back on track.
Thanks to his compelling work on the celebrated series, Ridley Scott cast him in his Prometheus
sequel Alien: Covenant and he's well on his way to the top.
Vincent Larusso
When we first meet Adam Banks in The Mighty Ducks, he's the star player for the Ducks'
rival team, who had to change squads due to his fudged home address.
He was an unlikely hero for the Ducks in the end, and Vincent Larusso portrayed Banks in
all three Mighty Ducks movies.
Larusso made a brief and unexpected return to the big screen when he portrayed the bank
robber in the 2008 spoof Superhero Movie, though that remains his last credit of any
note.
Today, the former Duck works as an inventory controller for the hospitality chain Soho
House.
Brandon Adams
Otherwise known as Jesse Hall in the first two Mighty Ducks movies, Brandon Adams was
exposed to the world of acting as a toddler when he appeared in a number of commercials.
But his big break came when he was cast as Zeke "Baby Bad" Michael in Michael Jackson's
Moonwalker.
He went on to work with Wes Craven in The People Under the Stairs before nabbing the
Mighty Ducks role.
Adams always had one foot in film while the other remained in television, however, and
he started to lean more heavily on the latter as his career progressed.
He has some genuine '90s classics to his name, including The Sandlot.
Marguerite Moreau
As Connie in The Mighty Ducks, Marguerite Moreau may have inspired a lot of young girls
to break down gender norms and hit the ice.
The actress seemed to grow up pretty quickly after the Mighty Ducks trilogy ended in 1996,
appearing as camp counselor Katie in Wet Hot American Summer a short five years later.
A major role in Queen of the Damned followed soon after.
But while she continued to make regular movie appearances throughout the '00s, the parts
she was offered became increasingly unfulfilling and she turned her attention to television.
Moreau has plied her trade in small-screen classics such as Smallville, Parenthood, and
Mad Men and also reprised the role of Katie in 2015 when she reunited with her Wet Hot
American Summer castmates for Netflix's prequel series First Day of Camp.
J.D. Daniels
Even though he was a prolific child actor in the 1990s, J.D. Daniels did not come back
to reprise the role of Peter Mark in either of the Mighty Ducks sequels and instead went
on to win a number of new roles across a variety of genres.
Like some of his Ducks colleagues, Daniels moved into voiceover work, and although he
hasn't notched up an acting credit in almost a decade, Daniels remains active in the industry,
currently working for the Actors' Equity Association.
Aaron Schwartz
Practically unrecognizable today, the broad and bearded Aaron Schwartz has come a long
way since playing chubby prankster Dave Karp in the first Mighty Ducks.
He joined up with fellow Duck Danny Tamberelli for an eight-episode stint on The Adventures
of Pete and Pete, then teamed up with another former castmate, Shaun Weiss, for Judd Apatow's
Heavyweights.
When the formerly heavyset Schwartz reappeared after a 15-year absence from the industry
in the CW's Gossip Girl, he'd grown into a primetime-worthy hunk.
He'll join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2017 when he takes on the role of Young Ego
in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a younger version of Kurt Russell's character.

HOW I STUDIED FOR MY INTERNAL MEDICINE SHELF EXAM - 3rd Year of Med School Vlog - Duration: 10:38.
Good morning everyone!
It's Wednesday today.
I officially started my emergency medicine rotation on I guess Monday for orientation
and yesterday was my first shift.
And today is just lecture day so I'm just gonna be at the hospital for a couple hours.
Emergency medicine is awesome!
I have so many days off.
The way the clerkship works at my hospital or my med school is you work ten shifts in
one month.
And then you have lectures every Wednesdays.
I think it came out to about to 3 to 4 shifts per week.
I front loaded a lot of my shifts, meaning I schedule a lot of shifts towards the beginning
of the rotation for two reasons.
Number 1, I wanted to get used to everything and really just like learn the flow of the
emergency department so I just wanted to go to work kinda like many days in a row so that
I can do that and really get adjusted and learn.
Reason number 2 is, we do have a shelf exam at the end of the clerkship so I wanted enough
time to study for it towards the end.
So I think last week of the clerkship I'm only working like maybe like, I'm working
like that Monday and then I have like rest of the week off.
I'll have plenty of time to study for my exam towards the end.
So, I'm pretty happy with the scheduling.
I think this is really like essence of emergency medicine.
You just have a ton of flexibility in terms of how you wanna do your scheduling.
For example, my shift yesterday started at 11am and then it was an 8 hour shift so it
went till 7pm and everything was so fast paced and stuff happening all the time so that 8
hours went by super fast.
Anyway drinking my coffee, and getting ready for lectures, I have to actually leave like
now.
So I will see you guys later.
So I just got got out of class.
Now I'm gonna head over to maybe a cafe and get something cold to drink.
It's actually pretty nice out today.
It's getting hot so I'm gonna get some iced beverage and then I'm gonna meet up with my
boyfriend and
then maybe get something to eat.

Hey guys so I am back from school.
I wanted to talk a little bit about what resources I used to study and what it was like to study
while being in a really intense rotation like internal medicine.
So we'll start with resources.
I guess my number 1 resource was UWorld, which is like an online subscription based question,
so you buy like a years worth of subscription to UWorld and there are all these questions
and they have it by rotations.
So for internal medicine there are 1300 questions.
I did pretty much all the questions on UWorld and thats sort of how I mainly studied for
the shelf exam.
I would do all the questions kinda quickly the first time through and then I try to go
through all the wrong questions and I try to pay a little more attention the second
time around with the wrong question.
In terms of books I used Step Up to Medicine as my main resource book, like a textbook,
even though it's more like a review book, not necessarily a textbook.
But it's not something I read from front to back, cover to cover, I don't really study
that way.
When I have books like these, I usually use it to look up topics.
So if I'm doing questions and I get something wrong and I wanna read a little bit more about
it then I'll go to something like Step Up To Medicine and read about that there.
Some of the other resources I used were, surprisingly, First Aid to USMLE Step 1, very relevant stuff
to IM, I thought, there were a ton of stuff that I kept on going back and looking up from
First Aid.
And I used two of the Sketchy Books that I made.
I talked about this before.
Basically, I took the pictures from Sketchy Micro and then have my notes on top and I
made a little booklet out of it.
I have one for micro and I have one for Sketchy Pharm.
I would say I used the micro one probably a little more for this exam just because there's
a lot of micro in IM.
Then aside from that, I think if you go to NBME.org, which I think is the organization
that sort of prepares you for the shelf exams, you can purchase practice exams for $20 dollars.
So there's 4 practice exams available.
I bought all four and I did them towards the end of, pretty much the last week of my shelf
week studying.
I did one exam per day.
So I got through all the exams.
And then I went through some of my wrong questions with my friend Dania, who you guys saw from
a couple videos ago.
We were going over certain questions we got wrong.
So that's how I prepared for IM shelf exams.
So I've done, we'll go in order, I did psychiatry first, I did pediatrics, ob-gyn, family medicine,
surgery and medicine.
And now I'm doing emergency medicine.
Out of all those things, I probably struggled the most with internal medicine for several
reasons.
The number of hours that you're at the hospital, that's hard.
You work also every weekend, so you work 6 days a week and when it comes to studying
for the exam, it's like you study for everything because medicine is pretty much everything.
So there's a vast amount of things you have to know for the exam so it pretty much felt
like I was studying for Step 1 but it was a little more management of how to take care
of patients.
So I think that's what made it the hardest.

So I mentioned last time that my mom was here over the weekend so we can go apartment hunting.
We actually didn't find the apartment that I--that we really really liked so we didn't
sign anything so I'm still searching for my new apartment but it's been really interesting
apartment hunting in the city.
I have to say there's a ton of weird buildings out there.
I saw a building where most of the apartments didn't have toilets inside the apartment but
they had toilets in the hallway that you use.
You like share them.
And the unit that I looked at actually did have a toilet inside the apartment and they
were like: you know this is like a really nice apartment because it actually has a toilet
inside the apartment but it had a shower stall in the kitchen.
So you basically, it's not a shower capsule thing, that's like enclosed.
It was like a straight-up stall that you use with the curtain.
And it was out in the open in the kitchen so just imagine having guests over and you
need to take a shower you would just be out there naked.
Oh I wanted to ask you guys, I'm planning on going to Amsterdam for a few days in the
next month or so and I wanted to know if you guys have any recommendations on where to
go, where to visit, what to do, what to eat, and that type of stuff and if you guys are
from Amsterdam or have any knowledge Amsterdam definitely leave me some recommendations below
in the comment box.
