I have been a Federal government employee for the past 31 years and I am a TSP participant.
When I worked at the Executive Office of the President, I was encouraged to participate
in the TSP by one of my coworkers.
This is when TSP first started and I learned a lot about saving for retirement.
Saving through TSP is important to me because when I retire, I'd like to be able to relax,
sit back, not have to worry about a part-time job and just be financially independent.
Well, at 30 for me, I was all about shopping, buying shoes--always been a shoe queen and
traveling and just never really thinking about being financially responsible as I am now.
The closer I get to retirement, the more important it is to make sure I save my money in the
TSP.
Get involved in your account.
Find out where you would like to invest your money.
Um, diversify your funds.
We have 5 core funds: the G, the F, the C, the S, and the I.
We also have the L Funds.
And, I would say get to know your TSP.
Read the fine print, just check everything out.
We have a Plan Summary, we have our TSP website, we have Social Media.
The information is out there.
So, that's what I would suggest.
Well, I see that the TSP has more options than when I first started.
We have a Roth right now, we have L Funds.
These are things that weren't available in the beginning, but TSP has grown and TSP has
constantly looking to ways that we can go out here and bring our participants in, make
them happy, give them options and just everything to have a great retirement.

Well, I'm a single mom with a 17 year old son.
And I am a FERS employee so the TSP is a very important part of my retirement.
I started work right out of college in September '87 but I didn't actually start contributing
until about 2 years later.
Actually, I remember when I got my first participant statement.
I looked at it, I had no idea what it was.
I looked at my Leave and Earning Statement and I went, I don't know what this is.
But I figured, hey, it's from the government, I guess I should keep it so I filed it away.
And then, I don't know about...I started asking around and people started talking to me about
the TSP and they're like, you don't know about it?
I actually argued about the existance of it and they're like, no, this is great and they
ask around and I start asking around and everybody knew about it.
They're like, oh you have to start contributing.
So the next opportunity I had I started contributing.
This is what I did is figure out an amount you can start off with, like 1%, 2% and then
every time you get a step increase or get a cost of living increase, just up it a little
bit so if you get a 1.5% step increase or cost of living you up it 1% and then that
way, you get smaller increases but it's kind of painless.
You always get a little bit of money so you don't see it and next thing I know I'm at
10%.
My idea of a dream retirement is basically not having to...worry about money.
I want to be able to travel.
I want to be able to enjoy my life.
I don't want to have to be one of those people that say, oh I can't do this, you don't have
to pinch my pennies, I can't do that.
I want to be able to actually enjoy my retirement and be able to do the things I want to do.
You know I've never been to Europe, so it would be great if I could go over to Europe.

GENERADO HOUSES Episode 2
To build something great, sometimes you need to destroy and demolish what is already there.
It requires a good plan and patience
and work of many people.
Procedues, deadlines, applications and decisions.
The entire Generado Foundation team is doing its best to rise to the challenge.
Where do we begin?
ENG. KRZYSZTOF ŁYSOŃ, KRZYSZTOF ŁYSOŃ GROUND SERVICES: The first stage of the work is to remove
trees, branches
and any garbage lying on the premises.
Next, we're going to pull out tree roots
and remove some remains of foundations over there,
and the next stage - we're going to remove the roof tiles and the roof racks from this building.
After removing these elements, we're going to demolish the walls with heavy equipment,
down to the zero condition, and everything will be removed by trucks.
And here we go!
Parents of our protégés, both of the adolescent ones and children - future preschoolers,
are cheering for us and impatiently waiting for visible effects of the work.
After the last general meeting of members of the Autistic People Help Association "Together Forward", they made an official opening.
This marks the beginning of construction of the first Generado House.
We are full of hope and positive energy.
Żagań, thank you.
The Generado Foundation has been founded by Autistic People Help Association "Together Forward" in sake of lives of our protégés in their adulthood.
These houses and apartments, that will help people with autistic spectrum disorders in becoming independent, are being created thanks to cooperation with a wide range of good people and institutions.
The initiation of the project was made possible thanks to the trust and financial support of VELUX FOUNDATIONS.

Democrats Take Government Hostage Threaten To Shut It Down If GOP Repeals Obamacare - Duration: 4:13.
Democrats Take Government Hostage Threaten To Shut It Down If GOP Repeals Obamacare
by Tyler Durden
Once again Republicans have managed to box themselves in.
Just as the GOP has reportedly found enough votes among conservative Republicans to pass
the latest iteration of the proposed Healthcare bill, with Freedom Caucus Mark Meadows saying
"republicans will have the votes to pass" Obamacare repeal, Democrats realized that
they once again have the leverage to bring this whole process to a grinding halt halt.
And they are using it.
As The Hill reports, House Democrats will oppose any short-term spending bill - which
is what McConnell was hoping on passing to buy one week of time - if Republican leaders
attempt to expedite an ObamaCare repeal bill this week, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) warned
Thursday.
In other words, Democrats are now holding the government hostage indefinitely as long
as Republicans - who now have the votes to pass new healthcare legislation - threaten
to repeal Obamacare.
Hoyer, the Democratic whip, spoke with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif) Thursday
morning to warn him of the Democrats' position.
"If Republicans announce their intention to bring their harmful TrumpCare bill to the
House Floor tomorrow or Saturday, I will oppose a one-week Continuing Resolution and will
advise House Democrats to oppose it as well, Hoyer said in an email.
Republicans continue to struggle to find the votes to pass a bill that will kick 24
million Americans off their health coverage, allow discrimination against those with pre-existing
conditions, and impose an age tax on older Americans.
That's why they are trying to jam it through the House before their Members can hear from
the American people this weekend about their opposition to this horrible legislation.
"If Republicans pursue this partisan path of forcing Americans to pay more for less
and destabilizing our county's health care system without even knowing how much their
bill will cost Republicans should be prepared to pass a one-week Continuing Resolution on
their own, Hoyer said.
As the Hill adds, the threat is significant because GOP leaders will likely need Democratic
votes to pass a short-term spending bill in the face of opposition from conservatives
historically opposed to government funding bills.
Even Trump has chimed in... again.
Ironically, as long as the GOP was split internally, and appeared it did not have enough votes
to repeal Obamacare, the government shutdown was a negligible risk.
However now that Democrats have realized that the new bill may just pass, they are using
the biggest leverage they have: holding one-week continuing resolutions indefinitely, in the
process assuring that Republicans may never be able to pass Obamacare repeal, with the
government being funded on a week-by-week basis only as long as the GOP agrees not to
pass such a vote.
The Democrats move comes as bipartisan negotiators in both chambers are getting closer
to an agreement on an omnibus spending bill to prevent a government shutdown.
If Congress doesnt act before midnight Friday night, much of the federal government
would shut down.
The market, naturally, has noticed, and as Citi observes "the latest bout of headlines
has investors on edge - US Republicans and Senate in deep conflict.
Speaking to our desks, interest seen - especially for USDJPY - appears to be largely short-term,
reactionary.
As we type, the market looks for a base.
USDJPY now 111.20.
US 10y yield at 2.2950%."
How this particular impasse will be resolved remains unclear.

Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 132 - Duration: 6:49.
Hello tankers!
In today's episode,
we've hidden the second code that you must find for the new contest
where you can win your Dream Tank and lots of other prizes.
We'll also be announcing our May festivities calendar,
and talking about something called…
Zero supply.
Today, April 28, is a very special day for our fellow Latin American tankers.
In fact, today, they're celebrating
the first year anniversary of having their very own community.
So today, they will have 30% discounts on gifts,
garage paints and supplies, hulls, modules, turrets, alterations, and Shop items,
with the exception of Premium.
Additionally, they'll have three in-game gifts especially for their community,
to help them spread the festive vibe.
So, let's get together with the Latin American community,
and wish them a very happy anniversary.
We know you're really looking forward to our May Holiday event,
so let's start with that!
Just like last year's event,
Tanki May Holiday celebrations will be held over 11 days,
starting on Saturday, April the 29th,
and ending with the morning restart on the 10th of May.
Throughout the celebrations,
there will be special decorations, new gifts, and new holiday paints.
We'll also be adding 2 special daily missions with bigger rewards.
To complete them, you will need to use the holiday paint.
The value of Gold boxes will remain the same, 1000 crystals
but they will drop twice as often.
Want more? Of course!
How about an increase in battle funds?
Starting from the 1st of May,
and till the very end of the celebrations,
battle funds will be increasing up to double.
And remember, the bigger the battle funds,
the more frequently gold boxes will drop.
And of course, sales.
For this celebration, we're slashing prices by 30%.
The discounts will start on the 29th of April with Shop sales.
Additionally, the event will open AND close
with sales on Micro Upgrades and speed ups.
We divided MU sales like this,
so that even if players don't want to buy a speed up,
they can still get at least two upgrade steps at a discount.
Then, on May 2nd, we'll have discounts on hulls...
followed by discounts on modules on May 3rd
Turrets are next on May 4th
and then it's discounts on Alterations on May 5th.
Each discount will last 24 hours.
Additionally, throughout the celebration,
starting from the server restart on April 29th,
we'll have sales on gifts, and Garage paints and supplies.
Not bad eh? But that's not all!
In fact, we're about to hit you with something brand new
"Zero Supply".
What is it for and how does it work?
The Zero Supply is a new game mechanic
that will be in the game for the duration of the May Holidays,
and will be available to every tanker.
However, it will work only in NON-PRO battles.
Here's how it works.
By pressing the Shift button,
you will activate ALL 5 supplies, except gold boxes.
Moreover after using this ability,
any of your teammates who are nearby, will receive the same bonus.
This means that every one of you will be healed,
plus get Double Armor, Double Damage and Speed-Boost activated,
AND will also drop a mine.
Before you can activate this ability, you will need to wait till it is charged to 100%.
The indicator is at the bottom of the screen.
The indicator starts at 0% when you enter a battle,
and it will charge over time as you improve your score.
So, the more you contribute to your team by delivering flags,
killing your enemies and healing your teammates,
the sooner you'll be able to use this ability.
We estimate that a medium level player
should be able to use it 3 to 4 times per battle.
The most important thing however,
is that you and your teammates
will not waste any of your supplies when you activate this function.
Two years ago, we organized an event
where we had 24 hours of unlimited supplies.
And tankers loved it.
This time we've decided to do it differently.
Throughout the celebration,
we'll be tracing all of the effects of this new feature on the game.
And it's possible that we might change something in the mechanism during the celebration.
Now, a quick tip for our less experienced tankers.
You're already familiar with the big Battle button at the top of the battle list.
And you already know that clicking it
will take you to a random battle that fits your rank.
But what if you want to play a random battle specifically in CTF mode, or in DM mode?
Easy! The battle filters at the bottom of the battle list,
also work for random battles.
So, just switch off the filters for the modes you don't need,
and keep the filter for the type of battle that you want to play.
Then, click "Battle".
This will take you to a random battle that fits your rank, in your preferred mode.
Video of the week.
For this week, you had to show us something cool in Space mode.
You've sent in all sorts of videos, from parkour to crazy battles.
But this was the best one.
For next time, show us how you used Zero Supplies.
Make sure you're wearing the Metallic paint.
Don't forget to search for the secret code in this episode
if you want to win a Dream Tank.
You'll need to submit the code in a special form.
The link is below the video.
One more important thing.
Next Friday, the 5th of May, we will not have a V-LOG.
And the following week on May 12th,
instead of a V-LOG, we will have a livestream.
Have fun with the festivities. Bye!|
A week ago 5 Strikers fired their salvo at a tank.
You had to guess which one would make the kill.
The killing blow was dealt by Guard — tank number 1.
Here are our winners and here's the new question.

Detecting methane leaks with smart sensors that rely on light - Duration: 3:03.
Natural gas along with solar and wind
power are the cleanest energy sources
used today. Natural gas comes from about
half a million well pads in the United
States and in totally it contributes to
about thirty five percent of the
electricity that we consume in the
country. One of the problems with natural
gas is that in its extraction and in its
production you can have leaks of methane.
And this is a challenge to both workers
the environment and also as a cost to
the producers. So monitoring methane
leaks becomes very important and
actually imperative to the operation of
well pads. IBM is developing a
scalable solution that could be applied
on a global scale using cost-effective
sensors that can be easily installed on
any well pad without change in the
existing infrastructure. We're utilizing
IBM's expertise for the past 15 years in developing nanophotonics
technologies and putting them into
optical sensors and in this case to
detect methane. What we have is the
world's smallest spectrometer that is
essentially a sensor on a chip.
Welcome we're here at Southwestern
Energy's Fayetteville shale. Having
industry partners is really critical to
the development of the final solution
and in this case we are partnering with
Southwestern Energy and what that allows
us to do is having the opportunity to
deploy our current versions of the
technology out in the field and
understand from field experimentation
the kinds of improvements that we need
to make. In the Fayetteville shale we
have approximately 5,300 wells; we have
just over 2,000 well pads. Right now the
technology that we utilize to find leaks
is twofold. They do what we call an AVO
survey, an audible visual olfactory
survey eyes ears and nose to observe
for leaks. They come out of you know at
least every seven days okay the other
tool that we have though is to use the
optical gas imaging cameras to do leak
surveys which allow us to see leaks that
you may not see with your eyes, smell
with your nose or hear with your ears and
when you're surveying you know five
thousand-plus wells it takes the better
part of the year to be able to do the
survey. The benefit of the technology
that IBM is developing is we would have
a sensor that we could locate on a well
pad continuously that is measuring for
leaks 24 hours a day seven days a week.
We are trying to achieve a balance
between the environmental, social and
economic impacts of our production activities.

Above The Noise | Episode 17: The 5 Parts of an Email - Duration: 4:12.
Hello, everyone—My name is Luke Acree welcome to Above The Noise.
Guys, we're going through this series on sales and marketing emails and if you work in sales and marketing
you know so much of your time is spent crafting emails,
so what I want to do today is I want to give you guys the five parts of an email as I see it.
Now the first part is research. I think often this is the most overlooked. A lot of times we dive right into writing our emails
where in today's day and age man
you can find out something about everybody. You can get on their social media, Google
and you can use this research as a way to connect with them. Maybe it's a pain point of their company,
maybe it's something they personally tweeted about and this is really going to help you in the latter parts of your email because when you
personalize your emails that helps you cut through all the noise and actually stick in the inbox.
Now the second part of your email is your subject line. Now if you remember from a past video
I let you guys know you should literally be spending about eighty percent of your efforts crafting a great subject line and first opening sentence
Because the truth is when you look at your email applications
that's what you're seeing
and if you're anything like me you use that as a way to filter through all your emails and toss out the ones you don't
want, so you need to put a lot of effort into crafting a great subject line. Now a tip
I'll give you is try to make your subject lines personal.
Wherever you can, mention something about them, that's going to help your open rate.
Whatever you do, don't make your subject line super salesy, it's a tell-tale sign for spam and another mistake
We make a lot of times
Is trying to put everything into our subject line, trying to get all our point across in our subject line because we know they're going
to see it. That doesn't help either. Now the third part of an email
is that opening sentence the most common mistake
I see on the opening sentence is we use it as a way to introduce ourselves. We open up with, Hi
my name's Luke Acree with ReminderMedia, wanted to introduce myself and just like I mentioned in a voicemail
series where they know when you open up with introducing yourself, they know they don't know you and they know a sales pitch is coming.
Instead use your opening sentence as a way to connect with that prospect.
Maybe you can boost their ego by saying, "hey
I just saw your latest post on xyz, and I thought you made some great points." If you don't know they posted something
Maybe you can connect commonality by maybe a same connection that you have, "Hey I know John Smith too"
if you don't know any of that, a way you can do it is frame a
question up in your opening
sentence that focuses on the pain point of that prospect. That at least gives you a way to connect with that person.
Now the fourth part of your email is going to be the body of your email. Now there's two tips
I'll give to the body of your email. This is where your value proposition
will be and you need to make sure your value proposition is super easy to understand, almost like you're sending it to an eighth-grader.
You're literally going to have like five seconds of this person's attention span
so it needs to be so easy to grasp what you're throwing at them. And then second tip would be keep your
value prop really short and succinct.
No one wants a body of an email a couple paragraphs. They don't want to read that anymore.
They want a couple sentences that they can just glance over and get what you're throwing at them.
So keep it super simple to understand and short and sweet.
Now the fifth and final part of the email is the call to action. Now
I mentioned before that you should only have one call to action per email
It doesn't mean you can't repeat your call to action you can put the call to action at the top of your email at the bottom
of your email a lot of times that can help click through
But you need to make sure you're not confusing your prospect. Make it so it's really easy to
understand what you want them to do next. If your client is confused chances are you're not going to convert.
So you need to make sure your call to actions are really easy to understand you're directing what you want that prospect to do next
So there you have it guys there are the five parts of an email. You got your research, your subject line, you got the opening
sentence, the body of the email, and then last but not least the call to action and I'll end with this: no matter
how you skin it guys,
there's no magic formula in emails you need to A/B test everything. A/B test your subject lines, the body of the email.
Let yourself learn what your prospect is responding to even if you follow this good format and this good guideline
it's not a Magic bullet
you needed the A/B testing.
So there you have it guys. If you like these tips make sure you comment and like below. Subscribe to our YouTube channel, check us
out on Instagram and Facebook. Take action on this today!

attempt to expedite an ObamaCare repeal bill this week, Rep.

You Don't Need a Lot of Money or Business Classes to Start a Company | Sara Blakely - Duration: 4:32.
So, as an entrepreneur I'm such an advocate for everyone to think like an entrepreneur.
Whether you want to start your own business or not, it's incredibly helpful no matter
what.
And so thinking like an entrepreneur inside of organizations or if you are starting your
own business, I always say—I love to tell the people around me to do this: Close your
eyes and take a minute and think about how you would be doing your job if nobody showed
you how to do it.
What surfaces?
Because if you think about it we're all on autopilot.
We're doing things the way either someone else showed us how to do it or we saw and
learned from watching.
And real change only happens when you do it different than everybody else.
So all the time I put myself through mental exercises where I'm like, "Wait a minute,
I know everybody's been doing it this way for a really long time, but is that the best
way?"
And I just want to see what comes up.
I also come across ideas and inventions by going throughout my day looking at objects
and saying, "Now how could that be better?"
And why did the person who first created gum—gum to me is so fascinating.
As someone who started a brand with $5000, had to get an idea out there that didn't already
exist (the footless pantyhose) I love to think about people who first introduced things to
society, and I think about the guy who did gum.
Can you imagine!
I thought I had it tough, this guy is walking around going, "You just chew it, you just
put this wad in your mouth…" and people are probably like, "And then what?"
"Don't swallow it, you just chew it."
Like that's a pretty hard sell at first.
And I think that gum had no flavor in it when it first came out, so that's even crazier
to me.
But everything from the pencil to the fork to the chair we sit in to the car that we
drive: somebody originally had a thought and brought it forward it to society.
So get off autopilot, look at everything every object in your life, the way that you do things;
when you get up and brush your teeth, is there a better way to brush your teeth?
Is it the right way to be doing it?
And see what comes.
I started Spanx with $5000 in savings from selling fax machines door to door in Clearwater
Florida for seven years.
And I started it out of the back of my apartment.
I had never taken a business class.
I had never worked in fashion or retail, but I was determined to make this one particular
undergarment for myself and women that filled a much needed void in a fashion.
And it was the most challenging the first two years to get it made, because no one took
me seriously.
I heard the word no for two solid years.
I actually was calling all the hosiery manufacturing plants and I ended up taking a week off of
work and drove around North Carolina in person begging these people to help make my prototype
and my idea.
And so there were many, many times in those first two years: When I wrote my own patent,
I went to Barnes & Noble and bought a book on patents and trademarks.
I created the packaging on my friend's computer after work.
I thought of the name Spanx sitting in traffic in Atlanta and went home and trademarked it
with my credit card for $150.
But all of this time I was doing it I wasn't sharing it with anybody.
None of my friends or family knew what my idea was, and that was really important to
my journey because I didn't want to share the idea just for validation, because I wanted
to make sure that I spent anytime I had pursuing it instead of defending it and explaining
it.
And I think so often, so many times, people have an amazing idea, I mean you have a million
dollar or a billion dollar idea in your life, and the first thing you want to do is turn
to your right or left at work and tell a coworker, tell your friend, tell your husband, your
wife and out of love and concern you get a lot of feedback that stops that idea right
in its moment that it happened.
But for me because I wasn't using a support system in those times that I had doubt, I
ended up really—I listened to a lot of inspirational and motivational lectures.
And so I would second-guess myself, I'd put those tapes in, I'd drive around, I'd
have to give myself pep talks.
I mean it was a real back and forth for me to keep believing in myself when no one else
was.

hello everyone Welcome on RCTutos.fr
Today we are back for a small news
A premiere
These are some tires from BOOM Racing, available mid may
The HUSTLER M/T
They are created by BOOM Racing for crawlers
So, they are really really sticky
Don't know if you hear the sound
They are very sticky with a really impressive design
Really sticky
the design is really nice, the clamps are nice and big
they are for rock, sand and mud
there are 2 softness, the soft , here
and the super soft, the grip must be awesome
We will install them today on our Gmade rims
to put on the ZérO-11
This weekend, the 1st my, we organize an event
At strépy, in Belgium, on a soil tip
A RC Days event
So we will try them in video this monday 1st may
who want to try can use them
You can find the event on RC Days Lille page on Facebook
You will have the informations for the monday event
So let's install this
the same than usual, it's beadlock rims
let's geab a wheel with all the screws
it's a classical beadlock wheel with a ring in the center and 2 faces
So we didn't choose the best rims to install in video
the screws are really short on these rims
with the wheels you have 2 longer screws that allows you to put together the different parts of the wheel
so you can install the other screws and take the 2 longer off to change them
except that, the mount is really easy
those who tried the tires says also the mount is easy (boom racing drivers)
there is no size default
the tire fits perfectly
on the other side it's the same
the difficulty comes from the short screws
So we will mount the others and come back after
the tires are really nice
113mm diameter and 40mm width
2 softness available, soft and super soft, those are soft
Really sticky
the stickness looks like the RC4WD dick cepek (when new out of the box) Fun country
those we have on the defender
very soft tires
you have a 2 compound foam
the tire stays ferm
we mount the other wheels and put them on the ZérO-11 and we are back
So we installed the wheels
To show you, here we have Growler 1.9, they are 125mm I think
Here we are 113mm, a bit smaller
the grip and softness of growlers are already awesome
The Hustler are even softer
clamps are bigger
the tire sticks really
It will give a Dirt look on the ZérO-11
with smaller wheels, it will look like a machine done for the mud
So we will try them at Strépy
it's a really agressive soil tip
Rocks, mud, soil powder
not a very grippy floor, and breakable
So we will try them during RC Days
You can find the Hustler tires in preorder at ATees Hobbies website
in"tires, Scale crawler" section
it's average 49$ the 4 tires
Soft or super soft, 113mm
So very sticky and very soft compound
BOOM Racing killed it with these tires

The Most Disastrous Castings Ever - Duration: 10:33.
Casting a key role can be critical to a film's success, particularly when it comes to beloved
characters — both in fiction and in real life.
Knocking out of the park with the right actor or actress can mean the difference between
being an audience favorite...and becoming an all-out laughingstock.
"Bird angry."
In the cases of these films and TV features, the casting decisions were so awful that the
projects suffered, and became near-universal flops.
Whether or not a different actor might've done the part justice is up for debate.
But it goes without saying that these actors were just plain wrong for their roles.
Johnny Depp as Tonto
Johnny Depp's had a lot of hits and misses in his career, but The Lone Ranger was an
especially big miss.
The film reportedly lost Disney a whopping $190 million after critics and audiences alike
were unimpressed by the film's attempt to reboot the popular Western TV show for the
big screen.
One of the most prominent issues with the film was the selection of white actor Johnny
Depp for the role of Tonto, a Native American sidekick.
Depp has made his entire career out of being a screen-chameleon, whose performances have
included heavy makeup and prosthetics.
But his Native makeup designs and headgear prompted blowback, with critics calling it
out for having racist undertones.
Depp's career has been in a real slump lately and fans can only hope that he makes a return
to form soon — before his name becomes completely synonymous with bad movies — like a certain
someone we know.
"Reason for visit?"
"Takin' care of business."
Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson
It didn't take long for the Internet to go crazy after we got our first look at Joseph
Fiennes taking on the role of Michael Jackson for an episode of Urban Myths, from the UK-based
Sky Arts network.
People with eyes were unanimous: the actor looked embarrassing in his cartoonish imitation
of Michael Jackson.
Jackson's family, especially daughter Paris Jackson, openly took offense to the depiction.
In a now-deleted tweet, Paris wrote that she was incredibly offended by the portrayal and
that it even made her, quote,"want to vomit."
Following the backlash, the network decided to pull the episode, which also included actors
playing Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando.
The show's creators explained that the decision was made in an effort to respect the Jackson
family's wishes and that even Fiennes himself agreed with the decision in the end.
It isn't often that a portrayal is bad enough to actually get pulled from screens.
But when you're trying to tackle one of the most iconic artists of all time, you should
maybe try to actually get it right.
That said, Michael Jackson was also one of the most controversial celebrities in modern
history — so it's almost fitting that he's continued to stir up controversy even after
he's been long gone.
George Clooney as Batman
1997's Batman & Robin is considered one of the worst adaptations of the DC hero that
anyone's ever seen.
And even star George Clooney knows that his casting as Bruce Wayne was all wrong.
The actor has since reflected on this regrettable performance, and has even said that he thought
he'd destroyed an entire franchise for good.
"I thought at the time this would be a very good career move.
It wasn't."
The only saving grace for Clooney's Batman is that he was fortunate enough to be surrounded
by some other dreadful performances like Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze and Uma Thurman's
Poison Ivy.
It seems that the take home lesson here is that if you're going to be bad in a role,
make sure everyone around you sucks just as bad, too.
"Kill the heroes!"
"It's the hockey team from Hell."
"Cool party!"
Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker
The Star Wars prequel trilogy has become something of a galactic-sized joke, even for audiences
who positively adored the original films.
And one of the aspects that fans seem to hate the most is definitely Hayden Christensen's
exaggerated portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in the days leading up to his transformation
into Darth Vader.
Before he began his cinematic anti-sand crusade...
...Christensen was a little-known actor with few films and TV roles to his name — not
unlike a certain other young actor who played a Skywalker.
So Christiansen's work was certainly cut out for him when he was asked keep pace with the
likes of Natalie Portman, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ewan Mcgregor.
But despite his best efforts, his performance ranks among the most memorably bad of the
franchise, and helped put a stain on that series of films that pretty much every Star
Wars fan is ashamed of.
He's lucky the movies came out when they did.
Could you imagine the social media Twitter takes Christensen would've gotten today?
"Oscar Isaac is a Brooklyn hipster piece of s***.
And I'm going to fight him."
"Sounds like a very well adjusted human being"
Keanu Reeves as Jonathan Harker
Over the years, Keanu Reeves has given the world plenty of performances that make you
say:
"Whoa"
And if we're talking about Keanu, let's take moment to ask who thought it'd be a good idea
to cast him as Buddha?
"No way."
Yes, way.
But as bad as that one was, his supporting role as Jonathan Harker in Bram Stoker's Dracula
is the one that really takes the cake.
Despite the fact that the film won three Oscars for its costuming, sound effects, and makeup,
Reeves' portrayal of Harker was...basically just Keanu doing a terrible British accent.
And some over-the-top reactions thrown in for good measure.
"Bloody wolves chasing me through some blue inferno."
Director Francis Ford Coppola kindly remarked that Reeves "tried so hard" when it came to
speaking with an English accent.
But the huge effort itself was ultimately the issue with his portrayal.
Coppola explained that Keanu's obsession with getting the English accent perfect is actually
what caused him to sound so stilted.
When it comes to Keanu Reeve's, it's probably best that he just sticks to the "more shooting,
less talking" style of acting going forward.
Denise Richards as a Doctor Christmas Jones
For some actresses, the idea of becoming one of the female vixens in a James Bond movie
is a career benchmark.
When Denise Richards nabbed one such role in 1999's The World Is Not Enough, the actress
was still a promising up-and-comer — so it seemed like a sensible career move.
However, many have criticized her stint as the overly sexualized Dr. Christmas Jones,
a nuclear physicist who worked for a defunct international organization.
Seriously — how many scientists wear crop tops and Daisy Dukes on the job?
The whole thing resulted in Richards being regarded as one of the very worst Bond girls
ever.
Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates
The long standing theory that any reboot of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho would be terrible
has largely been set aside by the success of TV's Bates Motel.
So, however unnecessary or inadvisable the 1998 remake of the film was, it seems like
Vince Vaughn's portrayal of Norman Bates might be to blame.
Granted, the script for that film was far from perfect, since it really eliminated any
semblance of the character being a sane human being, making his drastic turn for the worse
later on much less impactful.
Still, Vaughn was definitely miscast in the role and his eerie demeanor lacked the charm
and vulnerability that made Anthony Perkins' portrayal so haunting in the original.
These days, it's probably a good idea if Vince Vaughn sticks to crashing weddings and winning
dodgeball tournaments rather than taking a stab at remaking cinematic classics like Psycho.
Colin Farrell as Alexander
Irish actor Colin Farrell has had a fair number of acclaimed performances.
But his disastrous turn in Alexander was certainly not one of them.
Not only has his casting been panned for being insensitive to Greek culture, he just wasn't
convincing playing the legendary Alexander the Great.
Farrell, for his part, has since been able to laugh off the criticism, particularly when
it came to his terrible bleach blond locks he sported for the role.
"Was Alexander famously blond?"
"He was famously blond, yea, golden locked golden locked child.
But he should've been a brunette.
For sure"
Farrell is a good sport about it all, and he's even joked about how the critics were
probably right when they said that Alexander shouldn't have an Irish accent.
Seems hard not to agree...
Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone
As a general rule, Zoe Saldana is usually a pretty safe bet when it comes to audience
appreciation.
In recent years, she's impressed fans with her great performances in the Guardians Of
The Galaxy and Star Trek films.
However, casting Saldana in the lead role of Nina, the 2016 biopic about the groundbreaking
jazz musician Nina Simone, was a critical misstep.
Saldana is of Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage, and doesn't really look anything like Nina
- like at all.
While the distribution company's reps praised Saldana's fitness for the role above any physical
differences, the film was still universally panned by reviewers and audiences.
Simone's family hated Saldana's portrayal, and they along with many others felt that
Simone's unique looks were an essential part of her story and helped to prove just how
exceptional her musical talents were.
Before Saldana landed the role, Mary J. Blige was actually in line to play Nina.
It's hard not to wonder if things would have turned out any better if this was the version
the world got to see.
Jackson Rathbone and Nicola Peltz in The Last Airbender
M. Night Shyamalan was on a real cold streak by the time he decided to helm a live-action
adaptation of the beloved animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Unfortunately, the film definitely didn't help him turn around his career.
The movie was a total catastrophe in every conceivable way.
Shyamalan has since blamed the massive flop on adults not understanding his movie, but...we're
not sure about that one.
Now, as bad as the movie is from top to bottom, there's also the matter of the whitewashing
casting controversy.
That's right — not only was The Last Airbender offensive to from an artistic standpoint,
it was also just straight-up offensive!
Shyamalan placed white actors, like as Jackson Rathbone and Nicola Peltz, in roles that were
created with characters of Asian descent in mind.
Shyamalan's casting decisions resulted in no shortage of protests that called the entire
film into question.
It's really too bad when such great source material ends up being so brutally wasted.
And it's not like Hollywood's learned its lessons since then, either…
"I am Major."

Better luck next time, everyone.

Beyond Today -- The Day of the Lord - Duration: 28:27.
[Gary Petty] You're lying in bed, almost asleep, and you're startled by a noise.
The Bible says that the "day of the Lord" will come "as a thief in the night."
It's described as a time of destruction, famine, plagues and unbelievable natural disasters
on a global scale culminating in the return of Jesus Christ.
Could you be surprised by these events?
On Beyond Today we're going to show you how to prepare so that you are not caught
unawares by the coming "Day of the Lord."
[Announcer] Join our host Gary Petty and his guests as they help you understand your future
on Beyond Today!
[Gary] It is a frightening experience to have a thief break into your house in the middle
of the night.
The sanctity of your home is violated.
You fear for the lives of your children.
How would you prepare if you knew that the thief was planning to break into your house
say, next Tuesday?
Would you get a security system?
Talk with the police?
Make sure your family isn't at home on that night?
One thing is for sure; you wouldn't just sit around and do nothing!
In the Olivet Prophecy, Jesus told His disciples about the days before His second coming.
He described for them a time when nations will crumble under the devastation of war.
Disease epidemics will overwhelm medical facilities.
Lack of food will cause international starvation.
Moral norms and civility will cease to exist as human beings are driven by the compulsion
just to survive.
Then Jesus makes this amazing statement, "But know this, that if the master of the house
had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his
house to be broken into.
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect"
(Matthew 24:43-44).
How could this be true?
How is it possible for people living in this cataclysmic time not recognize the biblical
prophecies and know that Christ is about to appear?
Since Jesus did say that He would return at a time when people don't expect Him--there
are some important questions that you and I--we need to ask ourselves.
Like, how can I "be ready" so that I'm not caught off guard by this coming cataclysmic
time?
Is it a matter of hoarding food or constructing a concrete bunker?
Should you arm your family with automatic weapons like some doomsday prepper?
Maybe bury some gold in the backyard?
Can this prepare you for the day of the Lord?
On Beyond Today we're going to explore how you can know the biblical prophecies and "be
ready" for the horrifying events of the day of the Lord.
Well first, let's look at what the Bible means by the term, "the day of the Lord."
The biblical day of the Lord denotes a time when God directly intervenes in human history
against evil.
In the fullest sense, the term applies to the time when God violently judges a rebellious
humanity before the second coming of Jesus Christ.
A time when Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Prince of Peace Who came the first time
as a human baby, will slay thousands of soldiers who are there to fight against Him.
Now many people have a difficult time thinking of God as judging or punishing people, but
look at it this way.
Think about all the evil that's in the world you and I live in every day.
I mean there is hatred, and war, prejudice, crime, mass killings, governments that torture
and starve their own citizens.
The 18th century English statesman Edmund Burke said, "The only thing necessary for
the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
This truism is even more profound when applied to God.
The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for God to do nothing.
The Creator of humanity will only allow evil to flourish for a limited time before He intervenes.
There is a day coming when God will intercede in human history to stop all the horrors of
evil.
The Bible tells us that some people will resist their Creator and it's going to be a time
of desolation like no other time in history.
Will this time come upon you as a shadowy, unknown thief?
A helpful way to understand the future day of the Lord is to first understand a previous
day of the Lord.
This day of the Lord is explained in the sort of mysterious Old Testament book of prophecy
simply known by the name of the author--the book of Joel.
Written around 2,800 years ago.
Joel is one of the earliest prophets that God sent to warn Judah about the coming judgment
on them if they did not turn back from their evil that just permeated their society.
You see, Judah was a wealthy and powerful nation that had been blessed by God, but their
society had become morally complacent.
Heartfelt worship of God deteriorated into ritualism and even acceptance of paganism.
Dishonesty and violence was commonplace.
Marriage and family was replaced by sexual freedom.
The people of Judah took great pride in being believers in the true God, but their abundance
had led them to lifestyles that were really no different than the neighbors around them
who didn't even know God.
When Joel wrote this book, they had suffered a devastating locust plague.
Joel describes how the crops were eaten down to nubs.
Fig trees, apple trees even palm trees were void not only of fruit but of leaves.
The entire country was an apocalyptic scene of devastation reminiscent of the 1930s Dust
Bowl in the United States (Joel 1:11-12).
So how devastating can locusts be?
I mean, they're only bugs, right?
A locust plague swarmed across the Middle East in 1915.
John Whiting graphically described the plague in the December 1915 National Geographic Magazine.
Hordes of insects darkened the sky.
The ground looked like an undulating carpet as they landed and moved.
Trees were stripped of leaves--even their bark until they stood out like white skeletons.
An Arab baby left in the field was eaten alive.
People who were there say that the stench was almost unbearable.
And of course, the effects on the region's economy was catastrophic.
Now this more modern event helps us see what this ancient plague was like in Judah, at
the time of Joel.
Judah was a bleak wasteland.
Joel called this devastation the day of the Lord (Joel 1:15-18).
This locust plague, a "day of the LORD," not "the" day of the Lord, "a day of
the Lord" wasn't God's final dealings with the people of Judah.
It was a warning of a more terrible judgment if they didn't repent.
The prophet told them, "Blow the trumpet in Zion…For the day of the Lord is coming…A
people come, great and strong, The like of whom has never been; Nor will there ever be
any such after them, Even for many successive generations" (Joel 2:1-2).
Now here Joel isn't writing about locusts.
He is warning the Jews of something even more terrible.
The people of Judah did not respond to Joel's message or heed the warning of the locust
plague.
Eventually, God allowed the Babylonians to invade their land, destroy the temple, lay
waste to Jerusalem and take the entire nation into captivity.
Even though they were warned; they weren't ready for their day of the Lord.
It came upon them as a "thief in the night."
Oh you say, well this is just ancient history, but what is really amazing about this small
book of prophecy is that it is filled with predictions of a still future day of the Lord.
A time when you don't want to be caught unawares.
Joel wrote, "Proclaim this among the nations…"
Notice he says nations.
This is to go the whole world!
"Prepare for war!
Wake up the mighty men…Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears…For
their wickedness is great…
For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision" (Joel 3:9-14).
God, through His biblical prophets, gives us warning of a future time when He will judge
the nations--not just ancient Israel or ancient Judah but the nations.
The people of ancient Judah didn't heed the message in the destruction of the locust
plagues.
Because people aren't heeding God's warning today, someday the judgment of God will come
upon the entire world like a thief in the night.
In the New Testament, there is a book containing important prophecies about the future day
of the Lord.
It's that book that all people who study prophecy are interested in, the book of Revelation.
This book is filled with vivid images of heavenly signs, beasts, hailstorms--horsemen bringing
war and disease--seas turning into blood--heavenly trumpets blasting--and human beings crying
out for death.
Fortunately, it also tells us that this is a time of the return of Jesus Christ to establish
God's Kingdom on this earth.
In Revelation 1:10 the apostle John wrote, "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day…"
Now many Christians believe that John was referring to Sunday.
In traditional Christianity, Sunday is known as the Lord's Day.
The problem is that this is not what the Bible means by the Lord's Day.
John isn't writing about Sunday as a day of worship.
There isn't one instance in the Old or New Testaments where the Lord's Day or day of
the Lord refers to Sunday.
John is writing about the future day of the Lord predicted by Joel as well as many other
Old Testament prophets, Jesus Himself and New Testament writers like Paul and Peter.
In John's vision, humanity--deceived by the power of Satan--degenerates into violence
and destruction like no other time in history.
God finally intervenes with a series of judgments, each announced by a heavenly trumpet blast
heard around the globe.
Here's what Revelation reveals about the seven trumpets that herald the coming day
of the Lord--the time of God's judgment on evil.
A time that will catch many people like a thief in the night.
The First Trumpet: this heavenly trumpet blast announces hail and fire which destroys a third
of all trees and green grass.
And still the vast majority of humanity doesn't respond by turning to God (Revelation 8:6-7).
The Second Trumpet blasts and one third of the seas become blood, one third of sea creatures
die, one third of ships destroyed.
These events would be shown all over the world, on the internet and on television (Revelation
8:8-9).
Everybody will see these events.
When the Third Trumpet sounds, a third of fresh water turns bitter.
Think about it.
What if you had no fresh water?
Water is something many of us take for granted.
But how long could you survive without water?
(Revelation 8:10-11).
Then the Fourth Trumpet: the atmosphere decays so that only one third of light is filtered
out.
You live in a state of semi-darkness.
Food won't grow.
Every moment of the day and night is just filled with anxiety.
(Revelation 8:12).
With the Fifth and Sixth Trumpet sound, the world erupts into a world war.
This is one of our greatest fears, not just bombs raining down from the sky and bullets
filling the air, but nuclear, chemical weapons that leave no place to hide.
(Revelation 8:13-9:12).
Then sounds the most frightening of all the trumpet judgments of God--the Seventh Trumpet.
This blast announces a time when human beings are covered with sores, sea creatures die
in mass, water is turned to blood, the sun scorches the earth, there is darkness, a great
earthquake and hailstorms.
Armies gather to bring about the final great battle that brings humanity to the brink of
extinction.
Amid all this destruction, misery, fear and death the Seventh Trumpet also announces the
only hope left for all life on earth--the return of Jesus Christ.
These seven trumpets culminate in the return of Jesus Christ to stop humanity from self-destruction.
And He's going to establish a new world religion, a new one world government that
creates peace and prosperity.
He brings healing to the environment.
Over time, things like war, crime, poverty and starvation, they become words children
read about in history books.
It's difficult to imagine that these trumpet blasts and judgments from God will catch most
of humanity by surprise.
Yet, Jesus said that for those who aren't "ready" this time will come as "a thief
in the night."
Of course, if you believe that God would never judge or punish someone, then this is really
going to get you by surprise.
In 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul tells Christians about how to prepare for the coming day of
the Lord.
He says, "But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I
should write to you.
For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the
night.
For when they say, 'Peace and safety!' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as
labor pains upon a pregnant woman.
And they shall not escape.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
You are all sons of light and sons of the day.
We are not of the night nor of darkness."
(1 Thessalonians 5:1-5).
Preparing for the day of the Lord isn't about building a bomb shelter or stockpiling
guns and ammunition.
The day of the Lord won't happen as a violent intruder to those who are children of light--because
they are spiritually prepared.
Now Paul gives us three ways to be spiritually prepared:
First, be spiritually awake!
Here's what Paul says to us, "Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us
watch and be sober.
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night" (1 Thessalonians
5:6-7).
To escape the day of the Lord you must be spiritually awake and watching.
You must get control of all the busyness of life, the social technologies, the mindless
entertainment, and the discouragement of living in a failing society.
Spend more time in prayer on your knees before your God.
Spend more time in the Book in Bible study and find meaningful relationships with fellow
believers.
Paul said that "those who get drunk are drunk in the night."
It is time for Christians to stop being seduced by money, cars, clothing, alternative lifestyles
that seem so attractive.
God is warning people to turn from the lifestyles of sexual permissiveness, substance abuse,
greed.
These are the lifestyles that cause a spiritual stupor so that we forget that the thief in
coming.
And the day of the Lord is coming!
Second step is live by faith.
Notice how the apostle Paul phrases it: "But let us who are of the day be sober, putting
on the breastplate of faith and love…"
(1 Thessalonians 5:8).
Living God's way in an increasingly evil world takes a lot of faith.
You must trust in God to bless you for choosing to do good rather than lying, or cheating
for immediate personal gain.
You must trust God to help you do what is right when everyone else around you is doing
what's wrong.
You must trust in God to supply you a way of escape when the thief of the day of the
Lord breaks down your front door.
And number three: Be God-centered.
Those who turn to God no longer have an appointment with the wrath of the day of the Lord.
Listen to what Paul writes, "…and as a helmet the hope of salvation."
We're supposed to put this helmet of salvation on.
"For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus
Christ…"
(1 Thessalonians 5:8-9).
Those who turn to God no longer have an appointment with the wrath of the day of the Lord.
And salvation is more than physical escape.
God is offering you the opportunity to escape the hopelessness of the human condition and
receive eternal life as a child in His family forever.
Now we're going to discuss the day of the Lord with the Beyond Today panel, but first
let's recap what we've covered today.
The "day of the Lord" is time when God intervenes in human affairs.
There is a coming "day of the Lord."
This time will involve God's judgment on all of humanity.
The coming "day of the Lord" will culminate in the return of Jesus Christ as King of Kings.
And this time will catch those who aren't spiritually prepared as a "thief in the
night."
I'd like to welcome fellow Beyond Today hosts, Darris McNeely and Steve Myers.
We've been talking about the day of the Lord and how Paul warned that--many this time
would come as a thief in the night.
But isn't it amazing Steve, that after all these prophecies that people will be caught
surprised by this?
[Steve] Well, when you read through Matthew 24, Christ said so many times, don't be
deceived.
Which when you think about it, that means it's going to be fairly easy to be fooled.
That even though things are appearing to progress toward that time of the return of Christ,
people are going to be fooled.
And it's amazing how self-deception can take place in our minds when we think everything's
good.
We think everything's fine.
When we're not spiritually prepared, I think that's when we could be caught off guard.
[Darris] Christ said that those days would be like the days of Noah, and people would
not listen to the words of his preaching beyond his immediate family.
And as a result of that, only eight people were spared.
He said these days will be the same, and people will be going about their life and it's
going to catch them unawares.
[Gary] But you know, some people hopefully are watching this and saying, wow, I need
to make sure I'm spiritually prepared.
If you go to the FEMA website, they say we should store some food and water for natural
disasters.
Okay, but how do you get spiritually prepared for catastrophic events that are in the future?
[Steve] I think that's a good analogy.
You know when you think about getting ready for a wedding, the Bible actually uses that
metaphor as an example of how you get ready spiritually as well.
Well, you have to make all the arrangements for the wedding.
You have to make sure you've got the place you're going to have the reception.
You've got to have the wedding dress, all of those different things.
Think about that in comparison to our spiritual life.
Do you have a relationship with God?
Do you understand the Bible?
Do you understand the truths that are in the Bible?
Are you following those things and actually putting them into practice?
Do you have a relationship with God?
How close are you?
All of those things I think are items on that spiritual checklist that we've got to make
sure we are prepared, that we are ready.
Just like you'd be ready for a wedding.
You better be ready for the return of Christ.
[Darris] People have an inability to make a sacrifice in the present for something they
can't see off down the future.
It's like the job of an insurance salesman is to convince people to make that dividend
payment on a policy.
Let's say it' a health or medical policy.
That they might need but then again, they might not need it.
But to make that payment every month, every payday is a challenge to get a person to commit,
not thinking that they're going to need that maybe for several years.
But, if they do need it, then they have prepared and it helps to alleviate the emergency situation
that comes up.
It's not going to prevent an emergency.
You cannot prevent the day of the Lord but if you make the payments in advance of preparation,
of diligence, understanding that is going to come, then you can help mitigate the impact
that it comes in your own life.
[Gary] That's a unique analogy but when you think about it, God is offering us life
insurance but not for physical life, but eternal life.
[Darris] For eternal life.
[Gary] But you are right!
There is something we must do now in response to God for that to come about.
I read a few minutes ago this statement by Paul--and it's a helmet, talking about we
must wear this helmet, "…the hope of salvation.
For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ…"
That's a remarkable statement.
How does that apply to preparing for the day of the Lord?
[Steve] I think in a number of ways it applies.
You think about the truths you've heard about on the program.
Have you checked them out?
Have you looked into them?
Have you really considered the truth and how it may vary from what you learned when you
were growing up?
Do you really understand those things and if you have, have you studied into them and
recognize the fact that God's on our side?
God wants you to come to the truth.
He wants a relationship with you.
And it's not that He's setting us up for failure.
There are so many passages that point to the fact He wants us to succeed.
He wants to bring all to repentance.
He doesn't want any to perish.
And so, we've got a God who's on our side.
So I think we've got to make sure we take advantage of that as well.
[Darris] The hope of salvation again is something in the future that we prepare for, we anticipate,
we believe today.
Paul uses the helmet of salvation, that part of the armor of faith that he's talking
about in that passage of Ephesians 6.
He calls it the helmet of salvation.
A helmet covers the head, where the intellect is, where the mind is.
And we as Christians have to guard against--that's what a helmet does, it protects.
It guards one's head.
Spiritually the lesson is to guard against the attacks at the intellect and the seat
of reason to be able to read the Scriptures and to believe the Word of God.
Avoid being a scoffer or coming to a point where we don't believe as a result of the
attacks that come and try to convince us that any of this is not rational.
It is foolishness.
And that is when we could succumb if we don't have that helmet of salvation, a hope that
we believe today that anchors and guides our life firmly in the conviction that God is
offering salvation.
And that hope and that joy again, helps us to deal with the impact of the day of the
Lord or any trial that comes between here and now.
[Gary] When you think about the wrath of God, a lot of people just don't believe God can
get angry, but God hates evil and that wrath of God is coming on this earth.
The message here and the message of hope that we are trying to give people is you don't'
have to receive the wrath of God.
You can actually receive His love, His forgiveness, but if we don't respond to this, humanity
will fight their Creator.
And the wrath of God is coming on this earth.
Throughout today's program I've given you much to think about regarding "the day
of the Lord" which denotes a time when God directly intervenes in human history against
evil.
The important question is, will you--personally--be spiritually ready for the horrifying events
of that coming period?
I truly hope you will examine carefully what you've heard today.

Another WWE Wrestler Released, Broken Hardys WWE Deal Done? | WrestleTalk News April 2017 - Duration: 3:53.
Hello and welcome to the WrestleTalk News!
I'm Oli Davis, and I'll be replying to as many comments on this video as I can.
Free speech is a tremendous force for social change.
It's been the catalyst for racial equality, it's the mechanism by which citizens can
openly criticise their governments in free societies, and it also means we once got to
name a research vessel Boaty McBoatFace.
As wrestling fans, we exercise our free speech by holding up anti-JBL signs, chanting 'go
away' to Roman Reigns, and by wearing a number of slogan-based t-shirts.
One of the more popular wrestling clothing designs as of late has been the Hardy Boyz'
'F*** That Owl' print - which is Reby Sky's totally mature response to the legal
dispute over who owns the Broken Hardys gimmick: her husband Matt, or Impact Wrestling's
parent company Anthem Sports and Entertainment, whose logo includes a giant owl.
It was at last week's TNA TV tapings where free speech and wrestling t-shirt designs
collided, with one fan tweeting what happened as the audience were entering the Impact Zone:
"before people were let in they did tell people with a very angry voice that anyone
wearing #fuckthatowl shirts they will be banned" In a not so subtle response to the Broken
Hardy gimmick ownership battle, Matt has now tweeted:
"The OBSOLETE Owl cannot evade my #BROKENBrilliance by flying away..
DELETION is coming."
With a video of an owl taking flight into a glass window.
Matt has also changed his Twitter name to REBORN By FATE.
This comes the day after WrestlingNewsWorld reported that WWE were looking to buy the
Broken Hardys gimmick from Anthem by the end of this week, with CageSideSeats' rumour
section hinting a deal had actually already been finalised.
WrestlingNewsWorld are now reporting, "a deal has been accepted between the parties
and now it is just getting everything signed and pen to paper.
It is a lump sum one-time pay off and nothing more in any way after that."
If true, this doesn't mean WWE will debut the Broken gimmick on TV right away, but the
article does point out the long term plan is to split the Hardys up, with Matt portraying
his Broken Brilliance character, while Jeff will transition into a solo run as The Charismatic
Enigma.

Following the recent departures of Simon Gotch and Tajiri from the main roster, along with
NXT wrestler Chris Atkins and backstage interview Andrea DiMarco being released earlier this
week, PWInsider are now reporting Theophilus Agbi has also been wished well in all his
future endeavours.
Agbi's background was in amateur wrestling, and he was billed at an impressive 6 foot
5, 270 pounds.
He was only signed as an NXT recruit last October, in the class that included Roderick
Strong, Aleister Black and Killian Dane.
As this is the fifth reported release since Wrestlemania, it seems as though WWE are undergoing
their usual Spring Cleaning of talent.
Which means there might be more departures on the way.
The Raw pay per view Payback is happening this Sunday.
I know, I forgot too.

How China's Deep State Helped Nuclear North Korea | China Uncensored - Duration: 8:26.
On this episode of China Uncensored,
get your nuclear submarine ready,
because we're diving down,
into China's deep state.
Hi, welcome to China Uncensored,
I'm your host Chris Chappell.
China has long been seen
as the final go between for North Korea
and the rest of the world—
the only country that could do what sanctions
and international condemnation couldn't—
get North Korea to back down
from its ballistic missile and nuclear program.
Kind of like North Korea's more responsible,
slightly less outwardly totalitarian big brother.
How's that going, by the way?
Yeah, ok, seems to be going really well.
Unfortunately for China, the United States,
and the rest of the world,
North Korea is hitting its difficult teenage years
and going full-on Rebel Without a Cause.
But instead of this:
You're tearing me apart!
It's coming off more like this:
You're tearing me apart, Lisa!
So has the Chinese regime really lost all sway
over its Communist little brother?
If North Korea carries out its 6th nuclear test,
would it, as my favorite state-run media
the Global Times says,
take relations beyond the point of no return?
And let me just say,
if the hawkish Global Times,
the ones who've said that
"China's nuclear capability should be so strong
that no country would dare launch
a military showdown with China
under any circumstance,"
is arguing restraint,
you know things are bad.
But you may have noticed that in the past,
China treated North Korea less like
the responsible big brother
who gets you to quit smoking,
and more like the irresponsible big brother
who teaches you how to smoke
in your room with the windows open
so you're mom can't smell it.
China did things like supply 80%
of North Korea's imports.
And the Chinese Communist Party
turned a blind eye to Chinese companies
that violated UN sanctions
by supplying North Korea with,
for example,
nuclear bomb materials.
So what's different now?
Has North Korea just gotten so extreme
with all their nuclear talk
that they're even freaking out the Chinese regime?
"Bro, I told you you could smoke a couple of cigarettes
with the windows open,
not light the house on fire!"
Well, it's complicated.
And it all ties back
to China's very own deep state.
Loyal viewers of the show will remember me
talking once or twice about the life-or-death fight
between former leader and toad-in-the-hole, Jiang Zemin
and current leader, Xi Jinping.
But North Korea used to be much friendlier
when China was controlled by Xi's political rivals,
a faction tied to former Chinese leader, Jiang Zemin.
Jiang Zemin and former North Korean god emperor,
Kim Jong-il were close.
Really close.
Uncomfortably close.
I guess they really took Mao's quote
about being as close as lips and teeth
to heart.
By the way,
I fully expect this photo to inspire
some totalitarian leader relationship fanfiction,
because the internet.
North Korea was the first foreign country
Jiang visited after assuming power
in the wake of the Tiananmen Square Massacre.
Primarily because North Korea was the only country
cool with that sort of thing.
According to this Radio Free Asia article,
Jiang may have even given North Korea
the enriched uranium they needed
to start the nuclear weapons program
in retaliation for all the bad vibes he was getting
from the rest of the world.
Jiang, you're such a troll.
Now Jiang Zemin is 90,
so he's not all that active anymore.
Mostly.
But this toad literally dug a hole a
nd planted his own deep state
within the Chinese Communist Party-
loyal followers who carried out his plans
even when he was out of power.
And by the way,
if you've ever wondered why
I don't talk much about Hu Jintao,
the Chinese leader that came between
Jiang and Xi,
it's because Jiang put so many of his people
in positions of power
that they basically crippled Hu
for almost his entire time in office.
In fact, this photo pretty much expresses
how Hu and Xi feel about Jiang.
Anyway, Jiang's faction continued to have
very close ties with North Korea.
And as one China analyst told the Epoch Times,
Jiang's people, "may have even influenced
the timing of North Korea's five nuclear tests"
as a distraction whenever their faction
came under attack.
For example,
North Korea conducted its first nuclear test
shortly after one of Jiang's proteges,
and a potential future Party leader,
was sacked for corruption.
And it goes beyond just influencing
North Korea's nuclear tests.
Here's another Jiang guy,
Wang Jiarui.
For 12 years he was the head
of the International Liaison Department.
Here he is with Kim Jong-il.
And Kim Jong-un.
He's the guy who allowed all that trade
between China and North Korea.
Including those nuclear bomb materials.
Then there's Zhou Yongkang,
known to his friends as "Sunshine"
and one of the highest ranking members
of Jiang's clique, brought down in Xi Jinping's
anti corruption campaign.
Before he got purged like the aftermath
of a Fourth of July hot dog eating contest,
he was the head of the Communist Party's
internal security apparatus,
and one of the biggest supporters
of the Kim dynasty.
Why, he was even there
when Kim Jong-il led his son, Kim Jong-un,
out as the heir apparent.
"Hi kid,
say hello to your Uncle Zhou!"
And speaking of uncles,
Zhou also may have been responsible
for Kim Jong-un's execution of his own.
Kim's uncle visited China in 2012
to meet with Hu Jintao.
Apparently to discuss stopping North Korea's nuclear program
in exchange for economic development,
and replacing Kim Jong-un with his step-brother,
Kim Jong-Nam.
You know,
the one who was just assassinated.
By poison.
But according to this China analyst,
Zhou told Kim about Jang's conversation,
and Kim had his uncle purged.
And executed.
And it continues to this day.
Xi Jinping is opposed by three members
of the Jiang faction
in the Politburo Standing Committee,
the most powerful old dudes in China.
The two Zhangs,
no relation,
both studied in Pyongyang
and have made several state visits.
Here's Zhang Dejiang with the two Kims.
And here's Liu Yunshan
having a grand time with Kim Jong-un.
It was under Jiang Zemin and his cronies
that North Korea was able to develop into
the potential nuclear threat it is today.
So it's not too surprising that Xi Jinping,
the political enemy of North Korea's Chinese allies,
has had such a hard time reigning in
the rogue regime.
So can China stop North Korea
from developing a nuclear bomb?
It may depend on how much trouble
Jiang's people can still cause.
Because even though Xi is doing a pretty good job
of digging out Jiang's faction so far,
the roots go pretty deep.
What do you think about China's ability
to stop North Korea?
