MAJOR LIFE UPDATE for Cory & Marie - Duration: 6:14.

- Hi everybody! - Hi guys

This is probably the most awkward video we'll ever make in our life.

Probably.

Maybe the most depressing video as well.

Are you ready?

Yeah, don't be surprised... we're smiling cause it's awkward.

Mmm hmm

Yup.

So we decided to make this video because there are a lot of you out there

who don't know what's going on with us in our personal lives.

So of you do, because we did announce a few weeks ago on our Facebook page.

about what was going on.

Yeah, so we're making this video for those of you who don't know.

So we're officially announcing that we've ended our marriage.

And... but!

We're still really good friends. That's the great take-away is that

we're still going to be really tight friends and supporting each other.

And still being in communication and stuff like that.

Yeah. Today we went for Moroccan food and then we

went to the Gu (District) Office to register our divorce, so I mean...

-And now we're in a park. -And now we're making a video in a park.

So, you know... hehehe

- Yeah. - Things have been really

amazing in the last 3 years and there have also been some difficult things that

we haven't been able to share with all of you because it was very private.

So for some of you, it will seem like a very big surprise.

For us, it was just like a slow, steady decline.

And now we're about here.

And we're hoping to go up, but maybe we can't do that together.

We won't go into any further details, we just wanted to let you guys know

that the channel is no longer "Cory & Marie"

it is now "Feed The Cory"

And if you want to learn more about that, I'll explain it in a different video.

And...

But, don't worry, you can still follow Marie because

she also has a YouTube --- I just got hit by a nut.

hahaha

I, actually in the last 3 years, I've come to really enjoy making content for all of you and

although I will mostly be starting from the beginning

I've decided to continue on making videos.

I have a YouTube channel that I started in 2006 that has some of my

old adventures from when I was living in Jeju.

And my plan is to revive that channel.

I recently went to the [Seoul] Vegan Festival and I made a video about that

and that's going to be going up soon so if you're interested in seeing that

And I will continue to vlog about things that are going on here in Korea.

About veganism, about sustainability, about the Start Up world here in Korea.

So because we're starting this new chapter of our lives

I've decided to leave Korea and start a new life in Vietnam.

We went there 2 years ago, and it was a really beautiful country

the people were very nice, the food was amazing

and so I just kind of wanted to get away from Korea for now.

It's not permanent. You know, I will come back.

My entire mom's side of the family is Korean and they all live here so I'll be coming back from time to time each year.

And of course I'll meet up with Marie and stuff like that so

you'll see us in each other's videos in the future.

So, I guess we're going to expect a lot of amazing food videos from Vietnam

and other South East Asian countries as well. It will be pretty exciting.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to showing a lot of walking around videos

in the neighborhoods and alleys in Hanoi, which is where I'll be living.

And I go there June 10th. So very soon.

Very soon.

I would just like to thank all of you for being so welcoming and

loving to me, in the channel.

You know, I wasn't an original member [of the channel], Cory and I started doing it together as we started dating.

I was a little shy, you know. How would people perceive me...

[LOGISTICS] Nasi | Rice - Duration: 3:04.

Hi UMUntaineers! Do you wonder how to make delicious rice?

Follow the steps in this video!

Add 1 cup of rice or about 125g for 2 persons.

Then, wash the rice and throw the water.

Measure high of the rice by using index finger.

And as high as the rice which is measured from surface of the rice,…

…add water to the pot.

Or you can add the water in about 160ml.

Cook the rice in medium heat for about 10 minutes…

…until the water is boiling and subsided.

Once it is subsided, lower the heat…

…and cook the rice for about 15 minutes until it's done.

Stir it once in a while, so the rice doesn't stick to the bottom.

After 15 minutes, check if the rice is well cooked already.

If you think it's enough, turn off the stove, and it's ready to serve.

TEACHER GETS A SHOCK WHEN SHE OPENS THIS BOY'S FILE. THIS IS HEARTBREAKING. - Duration: 5:48.

Stories like this, always have a way of putting the right perspective on life.

Jean Thompson stood in front of her fifth-grade class on the very first day of school in the

fall and told the children a lie.

Like most teachers, she looked at her pupils and said that she loved them all the same,

that she would treat them all alike.

And that was impossible because there in front of her, slumped in his seat on the third row,

was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard.

Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed he didn't play well with the

other children, that his clothes were unkept and that he constantly needed a bath.

And Teddy was unpleasant.

It got to the point during the first few months that she would actually take delight in marking

his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then marking the F at the top of

the paper biggest of all.

Because Teddy was a sullen little boy, no one else seemed to enjoy him, either.

At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review each child's

records and put Teddy's off until last.

When she opened his file, she was in for a surprise.

His first-grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is a bright, inquisitive child with a ready laugh."

"He does his work neatly and has good manners…he is a joy to be around."

His second-grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is an excellent student well-liked by his classmates,

but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal illness and life at home must be

a struggle."

His third-grade teacher wrote, "Teddy continues to work hard but his mother's death has

been hard on him.

He tries to do his best but his father doesn't show much interest and his home life will

soon affect him if some steps aren't taken."

Teddy's fourth-grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is withdrawn and doesn't show much interest

in school.

He doesn't have many friends and sometimes sleeps in class.

He is tardy and could become a problem."

By now Mrs. Thompson realized the problem, but Christmas was coming fast.

It was all she could do, with the school play and all, until the day before the holidays

began and she was suddenly forced to focus on Teddy Stoddard.

Her children brought her presents, all in beautiful ribbon and bright paper, except

for Teddy's, which was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper of a scissored grocery

bag.

Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the middle of the other presents.

Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet with some

of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one-quarter full of cologne.

She stifled the children's laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was,

putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume behind the other wrist.

Teddy Stoddard stayed behind just long enough to say, "Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled

just like my mom used to."

After the children left she cried for at least an hour.

On that very day, she quit teaching reading, writing, and speaking.

Instead, she began to teach children.

Jean Thompson paid particular attention to one they all called "Teddy."

As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive.

The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded.

On days where there would be an important test, Mrs. Thompson would remember that cologne.

By the end of the year he had become one of the smartest children in the class and…well,

he had also become the "pet" of the teacher who had once vowed to love all of her children

exactly the same.

A year later she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her that of all the teachers

he'd had in elementary school, she was his favorite.

Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy.

Flaxseeds are considered one of the healthiest foods you can eat.

They are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and fiber which are important for your digestion and

cardiovascular health.

However, a recent warning from Sweden's NFA (National Food Agency) says a completely

different story.

According to Swedish experts, ground flaxseeds are not so healthy as they may seem, and might

even be dangerous for our health!

Although some people dismiss the claim as it's coming from a foreign country, the

regulations of certain foods around the world definitely affects food safety.

Flaxseed oil is considered a herbal supplement in the USA, but is not regulated by the FDA.

However, Sweden's NFA has put ground flaxseed on the toxic list and deems it unsafe for

consumption.

Still, ground flaxseed is sold in stores around the world, which is why the FDA released a

warning.

"Until we have more information, the public should refrain from eating ground flaxseed,"

says Jan Sjögren, the chairman of the NFA.

Flaxseeds contain beneficial omega-3 fatty acids and a compound known as linamarin which

is turned to hydrogen cyanide in the body, and even prussic acid on some occasions.

Both compounds are highly dangerous and may even be fatal in bigger amounts.

The NFA suggest avoiding ground flaxseed, but recommends whole flaxseed in amounts of

1-2 tablespoons per day.

At the moment, flaxseeds are sold around the world without any kind of warning.

As it's a natural product and is not regulated in the USA, it might be better to avoid it

for the moment.

If you love them in your meals and smoothies, at least use whole flaxseeds.

Stop blaming others and take responsibility!

Is the economy, the bank that you're using or the stock market crashes and causing you problems?

Is your job ruining your life? Do you ever think your parents did a great job raising you?

You see, when people fail, they always look for somebody to blame for their failure.

Let me give you a few examples - If I have not listened to my friend advice, I'd be rich now.

My father was an alcoholic, he would drink all the time which influence me, I'm now an alcoholic too.

I can't stop smoking because my friends force me, or they're smoking around me. They influenced me!

Those are blames!

Let me tell you why you can't win the blame game.

Do you know that when you blame someone or something else, you actually making yourself weak and powerless.

You are now the "effect" of thing instead of being the "cause" of thing. You give away your power to the person you blame or the thing you blame.

For example, you might blame your parents for ruined your life causing you a lot anxiety and stress.

Do you know your parents are not responsible for your own feelings. Are your parents so powerful, they control your emotions.

You should take responsibility for your own feelings and emotion.

Here's how you can stop all this blame game. You have new hope by stopping the blame game and accepting responsibility for yourself.

Do you know when you blame people for your problems it is silly,

when you blame physical objects it is even sillier and stupid. You are actually saying to yourself.

Hey, my life is controlled by an object!

You have to immediately end the blame game if you want to succeed in life.

You can only be successful when you become the "cause" over situation.

When you take full responsibility of your failures, other people and things have less control over you.

You situation start to improve. No one can control you without your consent.

You become the more powerful and in control of your own life.

At the end of it all, you must take full responsibility of your own life and stop blaming others.

In order to keep your heels smooth just put some of the rub on them, put on socks and

keep them overnight.

The next morning just wash them wit warm water and exfoliate them with purmice stone.

For toenails you need to put some Vicks on the infected area and keep the feet in socks.

Repeat this every day and make sure you cut the infected toenail bit by bit until all

of it is gone.

To solve the problem with scratching of your cat, put some Vicks on the windows, doors

it get distracted by the female scent, horseracers put some of the Vicks under the nose of the

horse.

For easing of eczema inflammation, and relieve the itchiness you can apply some of the Vicks

on the infected area.

You will be amazed by the results.

You can relieve awful ear pain by taking a cotton ball, some Vicks and put some on it

and put it in your ear.

Another option is to take a garlic clove, warm it in a microwave for about 10 seconds

and put some of the cream on it, then put that in your ear.

Apply VapoRub two times a day on the infected area if you want to heal athlete's feet.

For removing warts, apply Vicks on them and cover them with gauze, and then with a sock.

Repeat that until the wart dissapear.

Last, but not least, you can use VapoRub as a cream for the reduction of fat.

It will stimulate the fat burning process, especially on the legs and abdomen.

Prepare a paste of the Vicks, some baking soda, camphor and a bit of alcohol.

Just crush the camphor and mix it with all the other ingredients until you get a creamy

mixture.

Apply it and cover the area with black plastic or clamping strip and leave it to act at least

half an hour, to over the entire night.

Levomenthol is ingredient that is contained in VapoRub, which when is applied on the skin

will lead to rash, but in combination with other substances in Vicks it works perfectly,

because Vicks also contains eucalyptus oil.

Camphor is also part of Vicks that can cause seruous health issues if is used alone.

this (swiss) roll cake and this.... its Kawaii ain't it? is strawberr~ oops its not strawberry its a

shawn the sheep cake and this strawberry choco cake

I ordered this online and this is how it arrived to my door

so lets assemble it now... ~well all I'mma gonna do is just place his head on top~

tadaa its complete and this is Shawn the Sheep cake

its so Kawaii and the fluffy stuff is a sponge....... formed to shape

and Shawn's face is made with cookies the eyes are made of white choco

and this is a roll cake it looked so yummy so I just had to buy it

its pretty big ain't it and there are some fruit inside it

and here we've got some strawberries its made of (raw) chocolate

looks so yummy itadakimasu

lets start things off with the roll cake

so fluffy

sooooo delish

I just love cream and plain sponge cake so much

the sponge cake is sort of moist and so fluffy with huge bits of fruit

with just the perfect amount of cream ~so delish~

~heavenly~

next up is Shawn the Sheep starting from his butt

the body is made with a normal cake

and now for his head

a cocoa cookie with just a hint of bitterness not overly sweet and so very delish

next its time for the strawberry choco

the strawberry is so sweet and tangy but not overly so

and it ?melts in your mouth? and is so delish

raw chocolate has that special uniqueness don't it

time to eat Shawn

the cream inside Shawn is a caramel type cream

its stuffed with about this much caramel cream inside it

the fluffy hair they made for Shawn is so Kawaii

its amazing that they can make cakes to look this Kawaii

the Printemps Blanc Sweets were so delish

the sweetness of the roll cake wasn't overpowering so you could really properly taste the fruits in it

the Shawn the Sheep cake was tasty and so very Kawaii looking

the cookie and the cake were so nicely made

the strawberry chocolates were so rich and had an amazing strawberry flavor to it.... ~so delish~

it appears as though they made it with cream cheese oh and also this didn't arrive frozen but refrigerated

they were all so delish

this Printemps store is a cake store based out of Iwate Pref. .....hmmm wow.....

its amazing that we can get such things online

Haw Par Villa is built in 1937 by Burma born "Aw Brothers". It is famous for its often gruesome depictions of Chinese folklore's "10 Courts Of Hell".

The medical ointment "Tiger Balm" was created by these two brothers.

First Court - King conducts preliminary trials and each prisoner is judged to send them either to "Golden Bridge" or "Silver Bridge" (The passage to heaven) and rest others are sent to Hell for "Mirror Of Retribution"
