Book Haul #1 - Duration: 5:02.

hi everyone so today I thought I'd make a book haul because I got these books

recently and I thought that maybe I had some things to say about them before

reading them. The first one is a really hyped book here, or apparently, I mean it

seems to me to be hyped at least. It's Night Film by Marisha Pessl

It's a very long book and I just now noticed that it has some pictures at

some points and I'm pretty interested in this one. This one really catches my

eye the most out of all of these because it's kind of different from what I tend

to read and I've heard a lot of people say that it's great and, you know,

people whose opinions I trust, so to speak, have said that they really like this

book or just generally have really been talking about this book

so yes I'm kind of excited about this. I know that's such an obvious thing to say but

it is true. So this next one is Kafka's The Trial. I love this cover honestly. i didn't

buy it because of the cover but I really like it anyway

I read some stuff by him before I have well by which I mean I read the The

Metamorphosis and In The Penal Colony you know penal colony whatever that's

called. I like it because it actually has a lot

of -- I mean I don't know if this makes sense in the story because I haven't

read it but I think it's kind of funny how all these pairs of eyes are blue and

then this one is yellow, but anyway the cover itself is actually so beautiful. Some

people have said that the only thing they liked by him has been The Metamorphosis

and that other things are not that great, I don't know but, I rather not have

that judgment I guess, while... Before I read it so yeah and then we

have Octavia E. Butler's Kindred. This is a science fiction book about I

think it's about race or racism or something like that

I don't know well I'm not actually sure it's about but I've heard about this

book before and I've heard some people say that it's great

and particularly something that it's kind of rare of its genre because you

know most science fiction, at least the one that I have found are written

by white men. It just brings something new because it's a different

voice and different experience and this and that and the other, that's what I'm trying to say.

So the next thing, this is the last one this is The Awakening and Selected

Selected Short Fiction by Kate Chopin... Chopin? This is by [lost train of thought] you know it's by.

So this is a collection of short stories, they actually tend to be like centered

around women I guess she was a feminist or something like that. I have read a

couple of the ones that are here, I read The Story of An Hour and The Silk

Stockings I think it's called and... The Story of An Hour was was pretty impactful

to me well not in the sense that it was really intense or anything like

that I mean that it was um it was unexpected and I think that it is

worthwhile of being analyzed cuz um I really started on thinking about that

story more, the more time passed. By which I mean I read some reviews

and some people said that [I never finish this idea].. well I can't really explain what it's about cause

it's basically like five pages long or so but it's pretty intense [contradictory much?] and I really liked

it and I'm glad that I was introduced to it. So yes this actually has that The

Story of An Hour one, I think it does anyway

It has A Pair of Silk Stockings, let's see...

they story fan our respectable woman I don't know I'm going to stop that and I

was you know I actually read the The Story of an Hour before I bought this um I read it

online but then I wanted to read more and I couldn't find it so I was just

like hey I might as well just pick up this... pick this up right? So those are the

books that I bought recently I hope you guys enjoy this video I don't know if

there was anything interesting about it or what but whatever it was I hope you liked it.

The history and future of films in Locarno - Duration: 2:57.

It's Marco Solari's 17th festival.

The former tourism director and publisher

gets to inaugurate a new movie palace behind the Piazza for the 70th anniversary.

You got three new cinemas.

How much bigger can this festival become?

There is no upper limit.

If we want to stay among the ten most important festivals in the world,

we must grow both in quality and quantity.

Locarno is one of the oldest film festivals in the world.

The first meeting of the film world at Lake Maggiore

took place in August 1946, when Europe

was still coping with the consequences of the Second World War.

Locarno offered a platform to many films

which for political reasons could not be shown in neighbouring countries.

The film festival has been a festival of freedom since the beginning.

Here, films were shown in the style of neorealism,

which revealed the moral and material misery of Italy.

These films could never have been presented in Venice.

Despite such politics and serious issues

social themes did not go neglected under the Ticino sun.

Stars and visitors enjoyed wearing the first bikinis

and bathing in Lake Maggiore.

In 1971 the big screen

was installed on the Piazza Grande for the first time.

Open-air screenings in front of 8,000 spectators

became the hallmark of the festival.

The cinemas of the new movie palace

are equipped with state-of-the-art 4K projectors.

The new cinemas

can also be used for conventions during the year.

But new cinemas are not enough

to guarantee the future of the festival.

Marco Solari wants to appeal more to young film fans.

Young people want to spend time together before and after.

That's why we want to keep

the entire infrastructure around the festival in our own hands.

This is how Solari implemented the wishes of young festival visitors.

With a new party zone near the Piazza,

featuring a colourful glass pavilion by artist Kerim Seiler.

What films will you see at this festival?

In all these 17 years

I have not watched a single movie to the end.

You just don't have time.

As president, you're constantly occupied with the organisation

and with representative tasks. There's just no time.

For Marco Solari, enjoying films

will only be an issue again after the festival.

Here, incidentally, works tanker.

The main thing - to prepare in advance and said it is desirable to correct

in Spanish.

What is the amount of fuel you need to fill.

For example, Hello!

10 liters please!

"Hola!

Diez litros, porfavor! "

(Olya!

Diez litros, porfavor!)

His, of course, do not call Olga.

And he will say to you: Si, Claro!

(C, Clara!)

Do not take into the account - it means - yes, of course!

Perhaps he will tell Vale!

Bale!

This does not mean that you need go to Vale.

Translated this means - okay!

And if the answer is okay - there without me understand.

The first time I'm so full pot as it refueled ...

What consumes petrol your rental car

usually it is written on the flap Fuel tank

Gasoline Spanish - la gasolina.

La gasolina.

And they have it feminine.

On average, the prices on the island almost the same.

At the beginning of June 2017 petrol 95 cost on average 0.953 euros

per liter, as well as here.

This is a local supermarket.

It is called Tu Trebol (the trebol) which means - your

clover.

It sells mainly products and things made

or grown on the Canary Archipelago.

I recommend a look.

Supermarket Hours from 9 hours to 21 hours daily.

You can take a mental note, because in Spain at the weekend

Many shops do not work.

It is this store at which I learned

for you on the screen.

The very very filling - la gasolinera Parking is on the second

for the supermarket building.

Joke on the pavement - the word gasolinera pitched on nero and gasoli.

This is to make it clear, that still divide the word

"Gas station" to "Lonka" and "Benzok".

There still is steam cleaning.

Paro - washing. ( 'It is in Russian)

See how it goes.

And we are refueled.

The cost of gasoline here 0.85 euros per liter.

Now enlarged for you column display.

According to the current exchange rate at the beginning of August 2017 is obtained

60 rubles per liter.

Video shot in the beginning of June.

Then it cost about 55 rubles per liter.

At the kiosk refilling is written, you need to pay before

dressing.

Right Formula-1!

After such washing machine - steam-cleaning shines as

Finding smuggled goods on cross-border coaches - Duration: 4:32.

Shortly before 6 p.m. Plenty of activity at the bus terminus in St. Gallen.

At the start of the holidays, several coaches travel to Serbia, Macedonia,

and Kosovo. They carry lots of passengers.

I travel by coach because it's inexpensive

and because I can take lots of things with me.

It's a cheaper way to travel and you can take your things with you.

That's why I travel by coach.

Luggage is stored in every bit of space.

Presents and all sorts of consumer goods are carried too.

As long as the price is right

the passengers put up with long journey times of around 30 hours.

The first stop, at the border, comes after 30 minutes.

Passenger inspection.

The border guard suspects

that this passenger has a forged piece of ID.

Fingerprints are used to check

if the person is registered. All clear.

We checked the identity by means of fingerprints.

This person is not on our list

and doesn't have an alias,

so everything's OK as far as we're concerned.

These passengers don't have such an easy time.

They have to stand in a queue with their luggage in front of them.

Getting off with all their luggage. The border guards are being very thorough.

What do you think you'll find?

It's an export check, so there may be various things there.

For example, there may be narcotics on board.

Or tools used for burglaries, stolen goods, forged ID, etc.

These were just a few examples.

And the border guards are very careful.

Every cranny on the empty coach is examined too.

Yes, of course that's also necessary.

In Switzerland, robberies happen all the time

and the stolen goods have to make it out of the country somehow.

Apart from stolen goods, the border guards suspect that there may be

narcotics in the luggage. The sniffer dog is put to work.

Most passengers are relaxed,

even if they don't see the point.

Well, to take everything out - I don't think it's very nice.

It's going too far. But we have to respect it, it's the law.

But that's not all.

The border guards inspect the passengers' luggage

with a mobile X-ray machine.

If there's even the slightest suspicion, a colleague

then checks the contents of the luggage by hand.

And these are the jackpots the border guards look for:

in early April when inspecting a coach bound for Romania

they find stolen goods in two loaves of bread:

cash, jewellery and watches.

When they get to the last pieces of luggage

the likelihood of finding something dwindles.

But they take a close look at this item.

We're searching for this, look!

A Rado watch worth several 100 francs has been reported stolen.

The border guards quickly take up the trail and investigate.

But the allegedly stolen watch turns out not to be the one they're after.

False alarm. The coach is on its way after an inspection lasting over 2 hours.

Of course we're a bit disappointed. We want a success.

On the other hand it gives us a good feeling

that there aren't illegal goods on every coach

and that many people can leave the country without us finding something.

Next is a scheduled coach from Munich.

While the passengers' passports are being checked,

the sniffer dog examines the hold for narcotics.

The inspectors then find several pieces of

jewellery and Rolex watches in the hand luggage.

Two men from Pakistan want to have these repaired in Switzerland.

Once it's clear that the watches, with an estimated value of 10,000 dollars,

are not stolen, there's only a fine to pay.

As regards the value, they weren't declared.

Everything that's brought into Switzerland has a certain value

and has to be declared.

This here is over the permitted limit.

The two men have to stay here. The coach can continue.

A small find for the border guards,

whose work - at least this evening - was of a preventive nature.

Do Thailand Bar Girls Ever Fight Over Customers - Duration: 11:11.

hi everybody sign here do Thai girls have a fight but for customers over you

yes they do

Patera sorry seven my second bar I was managing every month

the girls in the bar quite often a few of them would leave when I get bored and

they'd move on to other bars they'd get a salary move on and they'd be in sort

of tribes gangs two or three of them would go July time August still rainy

season low season not too many customers about we lost a few girls three to two

new girls game so we had ten other books I think for them with the two of them

coming didn't know these girls didn't know much violent mamasan sorted all I

got them in on the payroll Tony remember the names early one evening about 7:00

in the evening I came in by find a girl took a girl out I went next day came

back same girl I find off he went third night this was one of the new this

is one of the two girls came in third night I we had to roundish tables a

little quite higher with quite high bar stools around them not many people in

the bar quality of the girls I was talking to a customer close to the

friends of the bar he was drinking heineken I remember this and his bottle

was helpful I remember that I'm sorry he stood actually

friends of the bar had a meeting guy here in walks this guy and the girl he

bar fighting for the two nights came running forward from behind me big

cuddle pleased to see him thinking he's going to buy fine a straightaway no now

I've told you before I've advised you before I recommended that if you pay bar

you take a girl from the bar for whatever reason don't go back to the

same bar and pick another girl the girl you've been with will lose face because

the other girls will look at her as if she's no good let's you've gone to a bar

spoke to the mamasan the first time you've gone at the bar and said

something like I'm going to take every kill from your bar and arrange and tell

all the girls and announce it so everyone knows that nobody leaves his

face but if you go into a girl you've taken and then pick another girl she's

going to lose face she might get angry I recommend you don't do this

and I strongly recommend you don't do this I've only it's only happened in my

bar once but another story after from a bar close to mine I've heard pattern all

around it's like two guys fighting over a girl in your own country in a bar I'm

stood there customer sat down half a bottle of Heineken girls ran up to this

other customer and he said to push to the side almost right next to many of

the table now instead of explaining why or anything

he immediately heed or he made his mind up he didn't have a drink didn't order a

drink he pointed to another girl beckoned her over and said hey bar I

want to bar find you now I don't want to order a drink I want to bar find you so

this poor girl it hasn't told her why he's dumping her

he hasn't told anyone what he doing he's just ordered this girl to pay bar

this girl's very hesitant it's the friend these are the two new girls these

are best friends were I assume they were best friends and the girl instead of

saying no you just be with my best friend for the last two nights says it

okay and the second and this is I'm within

two meters of always the second she said okay the girl that he just dumped I

looked at her and I saw her eyes turn bright red the devil came a she grabbed

the bottle of Heineken from right in front of me and this guy and launched at

this girl my reactions and the guy next to me how he got over the table we

managed to stop the bottle complex in this girl's head we all ended up at a

pile on the floor but we disarmed this girl best friends she just had to try

and bottle her on the head with her and the Heineken was tip it I remember all

over my arm care I had to change my shirt she went for it with a bottle

she's a grab the newest article her best friend had just done the dirty on her

and she went through the guy but caused all this and if this ever happens to you

if you end up in this situation or if you end up in a bar and bottle start

flying the cage is there even if you've got bin just get out of the bar come

back later and sort of in out and pay the bill with your bill but get out of

it because if police around they all just pile in nor hell breaks loose but

this girl we were all on the floor we caught up and took the bottle off the

girl and frozen my mouth and stepped in the guy they did gone

my customer we gave him a free bottle of Heineken he did when he drunk half that

cost me hostel bar offering but anyway he'd helped two girls

ma'am Assange reckoning frozen was very handy it wasn't close enough to be handy

then but she was hand she took the two girls out of the bar up the road and

sack them and left them fighting having a go at each other don't know what

happened but I could imagine they ended up in a fight Satnam both on the spot

bad news for the bar god I got a free Heineken dialect it those girls were

fighting over you the customer because the customer had done the wrong thing

only time that happened really in my boss or with a bottle anyway with

between girls I was outside my bar

I remember what time of the year it was but across the road with where apartment

mostly they were all lined up I was sat on my motorcycle watching the world

watching SOI 7 go by 8:00 at night 11:00 12:00 at night just up from my bar where

the road became bar doctor each other there was a couple of bars on the

opposite side of my bar couple of steps up full of girls

quite often customers have come down especially in those season guilded run

out of the bar and they'd it will be tugging that the potential customer

trying to get them into their bar don't know in 2017 if it's the same so I used

to be huge for that but these girls were all tugging and I remember looking up

the girls were tugging there was a gang of guys it was really quiet customers

the guys went into the bar not up the steps the bar on the same side of my bar

and then all hell broke loose bottles from the at the stepped bar full

empty they my just flying across the road at those customers the girls

because they hadn't condom with that with that those girls one girls have

lost the battle Marcus flying girls coming out each other fighting over

customers because of Lou season wasn't the same as in my part but all hell

broke loose and within minutes the guy's leg dit they went up the road

within minutes there was in police they just appear and oh well yeah all the

girls fighting what a mess broken bottles everywhere don't know if they'll

fall waste of money if they were fall all over sorry seven but within twenty

minutes all cleaned up back to normal no girls carted off by the police just

everyone told car midday the same girls were fighting were facing each other

again situation defused that happened regular in low season if they were close

buzz I've seen it many times bottles flying or customers taunting the

girls I've even seen the girls throw bottles or customers or potential

customers it happens and a lot in SOI 8 oh dear but yet so do girls fight over

customers they certainly do certain times of the day night year low season

lots of height can break ace but this is 15 years ago it might be totally

different human nature might have changed customers might have changed the

girls mentality might have changed maybe you can tell me put some comments

below does that still happen do the girls still fight it'll be interesting

2017 or the last year or so put your comments bein do the girls fight over

customers they certainly did think anyway I'll catch you soon on the next

video bye

2017 Lexus LC 500 - Burnout and Review | motoring.com.au - Duration: 5:00.

Forget for a moment that this prowling coupe is concealing a thumping five litre V8 behind

those futuristic lines, or that it'll rip from zero to 100 kilometres an hour in just

4.7 seconds, shredding the rear tyres.

It looks like a concept car, it feels like a concept car, but this is not a science fiction.

This is the Lexus LC500.

Heavily inspired by the LFLC concept car, the LC500's long bonnet, sleek silhouette,

pumped rear wheel arches and ground hugging posture create striking visuals.

The attention to detail is impressive.

Take a squiz at the mirrored brake lights and triple stack LED headlights.

Forget for a moment that this prowling coupe is concealing a thumping 351-kilowatt five

litre V8 behind that striking snout.

The initial drawcard is the eye candy.

This vehicle is not just a form of transport, it's automotive art.

There's an aesthetic appeal here that's so unlike the conservative Lexus of old that

people stop on the street, mouths agape.

You just don't get that with a Lexus ES300.

Quite simply, this car has more presence than Liberace.

Designed to offer an alternative to the Mercedes-Benz SL500, Lexus has gone all out for the sumptuous

but high-tech interior.

Technically this is a four-seat car, but the backseats are very tight.

But passengers won't be disappointed, especially those who ride shotgun.

You are almost ensconced, bobsled-like, in this seat, and it really is something to behold.

Lexus has finally come up with a better infotainment input system – a touchpad.

The small simple solution replaces the weird joystick gizmo.

But there's nothing weird about the way it drives.

The Lexus LC500 is technically a grand-tourer, a GT car.

Now, traditionally GT cars have been about soft, supple cruising, interstate, intercontinental.

Drive around Europe, America, Australia, whatever.

Often, these cars are very good at doing that, but not very much fun to drive fast, or they're

too heavy or too slidey.

Not this one: this does both.

It should be an absolute handful in the corners, but it's actually surprisingly nimble, it

doesn't feel half as heavy as it should, and the way it grips is very, very impressive.

It's got a limited slip differential at the rear, which is excellent, adaptive dampers

help keep it really flat through the corners.

This big banana is a heavyweight, tipping the scales at almost two tonnes.

But nifty weight distribution and a super-stiff body made of aluminium, carbon fibre composites

and steel means it feels light on its feet.

Yes, this big boy likes to dance.

Better yet, it's got a sweet, sweet engine.

That five litre V8 I talked about is an absolute ripper.

Because it's not a turbo-charged engine either, throttle response is immediate, there's

no lag.

When you flex your foot, this thing responds.

A new ten-speed automatic transmission has been added to the mix, and 95% of the time

it's on song.

Upshifts are rapid, and downshifts are crisp when you're fanging it.

But it can get caught out at slow speeds, such as around town.

The brakes do a tip top job of slowing the car's significant mass, with lots of pedal

feel and plenty of bite.

I've always thought that Lexus created some of the best and most luxurious interiors on

the market, but now, finally, Lexus has built a bit of mongrel attitude to match.

It doesn't try to mimic what the Europeans have done in a styling sense, combining robo-chic

with aggressive lines and a brawny posture.

Yet it still makes you feel energised once inside, that booming V8 turning every drive

into an occasion, the digital party tricks raising eyebrows.

We test hundreds of cars every year at motoring.com.au, and I can probably count on one hand the vehicles

that have truly captivated me.

This is one of them.

Humanitarian Hands on Tool HHoT - Duration: 1:37.

People with disabilities are disproportionately affected by disaster and conflict,

and humanitarian aid workers often lack the proper tools

to ensure relief and recovery work is inclusive of everyone.

For example, early warning information, emergency shelter, health services,

and distribution of essential items like food and water may all be inaccessible.

The Humanitarian Hands-on Tool, known as HHoT, is designed to fill this gap

by providing aid workers in the field with clear, practical and detailed instructions.

Not only will this make their work more accessible to people with disabilities,

but will include other often-marginalised groups such as older people – and will exclude no one.

HHoT can be downloaded to any mobile device and is easy to use.

It offers simple one-page guidelines for all issues relevant to the design and implementation of emergency response.

Topics are broken down into 'task cards', each describing common tasks or processes and how to make them inclusive.

You can either browse these cards or search for specific keywords to get a list of suggested reading.

You can also share, print or save your cards as favourites.

Are you working in an area with poor internet connection? Don't worry.

Once downloaded, all the information in the app is available offline.

With its detailed step-by-step guides, HHoT is an essential resource for all agencies

that realise the importance of leaving no one behind.

And your input is welcome to ensure the app content grows in the most effective way possible.

Download HHoT from the App Store or Google Play, or access the information on your computer.

And share to spread the word!

Jessica(제시카) - Summer Storm MV reaction (Eng sub) - Duration: 6:41.

(why is it looks so funny?)

Hello everyone, I'm Justin.

Today I gonna watch mv

last time I watched the MVs from SNSD

and Jessica's mv is followed by them

"Summer Storm" MV was released today

because I'm just back to my hometown, so I got my younger sister involved in this. lol

so it will be our reaction~

let's stop talking, get ready to play this music video

start

I hope it won't be stuck

AHHHH let's do it again because I forgot to turn on the sound lollll

Sis: I was wondering why....?

OK, we need to watch it again because I did't turn on the sound.

The party just ended up

It was rumored that this mv story associated with SNSD's "All night" mv

means she was too late for the party after SNSD just finished

is that underwear?

Why is the current trend only underwear?

Taeyeon did the same too XDDD

This guy's style is a littile bit like me. lol

glasses

instant camera!!!

WHERE IS MY CAMERA?????

Is this a story about recalling love memories?

haha is Elsa from Frozen???

what is it?

I wish the people around her were SNSD

what does this mean?

(⊙ˍ⊙)

the end?

what does it mean?

ok, we don't understand the meaning so we gonna watch the version with Chinese subtitle.

that will help us to understand I guess

we will talk about it later until we watched again, byebye

We just watched the Chinese subtitle version, so we probably understand what the mv means.

It's kinda like a sad song

about in the mood for breaking we someone

why we didn't understand first

we are wondering that she broke up with her boyfriend

and the last scene means the first time they met each other

that's my opinion, I guess.

But why she was sad in the after party on the just next day???

Anyway, it's a sad song about love overall.

if you really focus on the lyrics, you'll cry I think.

Ah, it's sort of song that you're sad though by breaking up with sb. but still try to put a forced smile.

like the song by Liang Wen Yin (梁文音), what is it called?

"Still Friends" (還是朋友)

It's like a song with sad lyrics but sounds brisk

Well, I heard

gossip magazine said

Jessica is about to hold a small concert on the same day and place with SNSD in South Korea (really??)

no one knows what will happen

but it will let the fans feel confused and in a dilemma, because we love SNSD and Jessica, they were together before. T.T

I still hope Sica can develop her career seriously

She recently finished the Taiwan concert was very successful

and also join some variety shows, I'm so excited about her performance

I hope Sica's new album will be the bestseller.

I think it's quite a great song with brisk melody

I will listen to her other songs in this album, it seems like with six songs.

so it's time to say goodbye, thank for your whatching

Francis takes advantage after favourite falters to snatch IAAF World Championships gold. - Duration: 2:41.

Torrential rain fell from start to finish as three titles were claimed by athletes from three different continents.

Norway's Karsten Warholm responded best to the conditions to win the men's 400m hurdles and Gong Lijiao of China triumphed in the women's shot put.

It was the finale which provided the greatest moment of drama.

Francis, a 4x400m relay gold medallist at Rio 2016, had never won a global individual medal before tonight and, for most of the race, third place seemed to be as good as it would get.

Bahamas' Olympic champion Miller-Uibo powered through the first half of the race and entered the final straight with a big lead over the United States Allyson Felix, chasing a record 10th IAAF World Championship gold medal.

Felix, the gold medallist at Beijing two years ago, was slowly narrowing the gap, but did not look powerful enough to overtake the powerful leader

Then, inexplicably, Miller-Uibo lost all momentum with the finish line at her mercy, swaying her arms and legs as if she was running through treacle before nearly coming to a halt.

It was Francis, rather than Felix, who burst through to win in a personal best of 49.92sec

Salwa Eid Naser, born in Nigeria to a native mother and a Bahraini father, finished superbly to snatch a superb silver for the Gulf nation in a national record 50,06.

Felix won her 14th World Championship medal with bronze, in 50.08, as Miller-Uibo laboured across the line fourth in 50.49.

It was not immediately clear if she was injured, or simply fatigued. "At the finish line I was surprised, I thought I was second or third, but then they told me, 'You are first'," said Francis. "That is crazy."

Warholm has long been a rising star of Norwegian and European athletics but it was still expected to be far too soon for a senior global crown.

The weather, however, was always going to be an equaliser, and the Norwegian was used to stormy conditions having learned his craft training on his home island of Dimnøya off the western coast.

He was initially a multi-eventer, winning the 2013 octathlon at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Donetsk, before turning to the 400m hurdles.

The 21-year-old held a huge lead over the rest of the field coming into the home straight.

American Olympic champion Kerron Clement was gradually closing the gap and looked set to pass him approaching the final hurdle.

Warholm, though, cleared the final barrier best before powering clear to win in 48.35 - two hundredths of a second faster than his time when winning gold at this year's European Under 23 Championships in Bydgoszcz.

"Thank you, London! I truly don't believe it," he said. "I've worked so hard for this but I don't know what I have done. "This is an amazing feeling."

Cuban-born Yasmani Copello, now representing Turkey, won the silver medal in 48.49 to improve upon his Olympic bronze at Rio 2016.

Clement, world champion in Osaka 2007 and Berlin 2009, settled for third today in 48.52. Gong also overcame terrible conditions to earn the women's shot put gong and take the first major victory of her career.

The 28-year-old Olympic silver medallist threw her arms in the air in triumph after a throw of 19.94 metres in the fifth round.

It followed silver at her home World Championships in Bejing two years ago, as well as bronze medals in Berlin in 2009 and Moscow in 2013.

There was drama behind her as Hungary's Alita Marton saved her best for last by producing a sixth round mark of 19.49m.

The new Spider-Man Tom Holland willed his role into existence but he won't let it go to his head - Duration: 9:32.

The new Spider-Man Tom Holland willed his role into existence but he won't let it go to his head

Movies in a Minute: Spider-man Homecoming Give Leigh Paatsch a minute, and hell give you the lowdown on Spider-man Homecoming July 5th 2017 a month ago /display/newscorpaustralia. com/Web/NewsNetwork/Entertainment - syndicated/Movies/ Tom Holland at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

NEVER mind the mega-strength and the whole climbing up walls thing, Tom Holland's true superpower is positive thinking.

As a kid there was no other superhero for the UK actor than Spider-Man. He had all the paraphernalia, the costumes (by his count, more than 30 over the years), the bed spread, pyjamas — you name it.

And he has long harboured a burning ambition to play the much-loved comic book web-slinger.

So much so that about five years ago, he boldly stated in an interview that he'd like the gig (and that of James Bond) after Andrew Garfield hung up the blue and red spandex outfit.

"I feel like if you put something out into the universe then you increase your chances of it happening," the confident, affable and well-spoken Holland says. Holland got his chance earlier than he might have thought.

Rather than retiring from his role as Spider-Man, Garfield was sidelined after two solo outings that, while far from disastrous, didn't perform as well as hoped either critically or at the box office.

Holland made his debut as Spider-Man in last year's Captain America: Civil War, the year's highest grossing film.

Then, thanks to an unprecedented deal between Sony, the studio with the rights to Spider-Man, and Disney, home to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, Holland made his debut as Spidey in last year's Captain America: Civil War.

After Tobey Maguire's three movies with Sam Raimi, that made Holland the third Spider-Man in a little over 10 years.

Holland — who first shot to fame on the West End stage as the lead in hit musical Billy Elliot, and followed that up with movie appearances in The Impossible with Naomi Watts and In the Heart of the Sea with Chris Hemsworth (Thor put in a good word for Holland with Marvel boss Kevin Feige) — has met both his predecessors, but was determined to make his own mark on the character.

Crucially, where Garfield and Maguire were both in their mid to late 20s when they played the part, Holland only turned 21 last month and can easily pass for even younger, making him perfect for his first solo outing in the role, Spider-Man: Homecoming, with its high-school setting and John Hughes aesthetic.

Tom Holland, pictured here in Spider-Man: Homecoming with Jacob Batalon, is a younger version of the character, giving the movie a John Hughes feel.

"Obviously the main difference is that I am a lot younger and we have really brought the character back to high school and tried to ground him in reality," Holland says.

"But this is the first time we have been able to see Spider-Man in the world in which the Avengers exist. It's really exciting to see Spider-Man with a goal and that goal is to become an Avenger.

It's a very different and new version of the character. "Spider-Man and (alter-ego) Peter Parker, especially, is the most relatable superhero ever. It's very easy to relate to a kid who is having trouble in high school.

less so to relate to a billionaire whose Lamborghini broke down. For me it was about watching someone like myself go through superhero actions and experience a superhero lifestyle while also being a high school student.".

Given that nabbing the role as Spider-Man was literally a dream come true for Holland, he now feels an obligation to pay it forward.

Knowing the effect the character had on his life, like his MCU co-stars Chris "Captain America" Evans and Chris "Star-Lord" Pratt before him, the young actor has been taking the time to visit sick children in hospitals and revelling in the looks on their faces when he shows up in costume to brighten their day.

"With great power comes great responsibility," he says, echoing one of the best loved lines of the Spider-Man comic books. "I have been given such a wonderful opportunity and I want to share that with people.

If I can share that with kids in hospital then that seems like the right thing to do. This is a movie for the fans — but also for kids.

It's unfair that some kids are in hospital and unable to see the movie, so if I can bring them just a little bit of joy and happiness then I should be doing that, absolutely.".

Holland, the oldest of four boys of comedian father Dominic and photographer mother Nicola, was a natural performer from an early age.

"I just loved dancing and grooving to music and enjoyed the freedom and the creativity behind it," he says of his early years.

"It was something my mum spotted that I was pretty good at and she was amazing enough to take me to a dance class. I'm so grateful that she did, because without my mum I wouldn't be here today.".

After eight auditions and two years of training he made his West End debut in Billy Elliot in 2008 to rave reviews. That drawn-out process that held him good stead for landing the Spider-Man role.

He credits his Billy Elliot acting coach and director, Nick Evans, for the career advice that taught him how to turn nervousness into excitement.

But even with those wise words behind him, the audition process for the coveted role — which involved multiple trips to the Atlanta studios and readings with Robert Downey Jr — was long and arduous as producers made their way through 1500 hopefuls.

"It was one of the most stressful times of my whole life," Holland reflects. "I had made three movies in the time I was auditioning for this movie and it was just the not knowing.

It was a really tough period in my life but when I found out, I just went nuts.". Holland's initial audition tape saw him executing every kind of flip under the sun.

The discipline, training and physicality of his years of dancing helped him prepare for long days on set trussed up in harnesses, making sure the action in Homecoming lives up to the MCU standard.

"I was doing stunts and fight scenes nearly every single day throughout the whole course of the movie, so the fact that I have had such an extensive dance background from Billy Elliot was a huge help and a really powerful asset to us at the Marvel team," he says.

Becoming an integral part of the most successful film franchise in history — with 15 films so far and a combined box office total in excess of $15 billion — comes with bonuses and drawbacks.

The MCU has made genuine stars out of the likes of Hemsworth, Evans and Tom Hiddleston, but also brings with it the glare of the public gaze.

So far Holland, who is signed for six appearances as Spider-Man and is currently filming the next two Avengers films, seems to be taking it all in his stride — and he says his friends and family won't let him get ahead of himself.

"I am definitely the same person I was when I finished The Impossible," he says. "That's one of the things I really strive to keep.

From my parents, definitely — I'm still doing the dishes at home. I have been living on my own with my best mate since I got (to Atlanta).

I can't wait to get back to London but my mum is going to give it to me when I get home.

"It's funny, whenever they come to visit me on set, I always have a really easy day — so they don't think I do anything. They think I have the easiest job on the planet.".

2.

just take advantage of you.

3.

Stop chasing him.

Maybe he needs some space.

You can use no contact rule.

If you disappear for a while he may want to hear from you and stop ignoring you.

4.

Do not feel bad or depressed

Do not think that there is something wrong with you or you're insignificant and that's

why he ignores you.

He may ignore you because he does not know you properly, or because he seeks other types

of women.

You are worth a lot and he is not the only man on the face of the Earth.

5.

Play the game of Ignore him.

There are many guys who think that by ignoring the girl they like they'll have her at her

feet.

Do not fall into his trap!

Be strong and show that you are not an immature fool who is going to fall into his games.

6.

do not hesitate to approach him.

Do not hesitate to strike up a conversation with him when you see him next time.

Perhaps you'll discover that he ignores you because he is shy and does not know how to

approach you.

After that if he still ignores you, ignore him.

7.

Stay away from him if necessary.

If he ignores you after a date, then it's time to look away and go on your way.

Do not beg attention to whom does not deserve you.

Go ahead, you'll find the ideal man, the one who loves you unconditionally.
