If Vaheguru jee has given you birth in a Nanak Naam Leva Parivaar

then He wants you to be a Sikh

But when cut your hair you do a Maha Paap

and according to Satguru jee's Bachan you are preparing to be cast into the jooni of a sheep

rest is up to you we have done our part

I used to push and push on my voice to try to get it to sound

decent... and then my voice would just get more

tired and more raspy... it was so frustrating!

I tried so many things... drinking tons of water... herbal tea...

practicing the songs like crazy the day before...

voice sounded on Sunday mornings!

The lip roll sounds like this...

I promise you this is hands-down the BEST thing

you can do for your voice—it eases your vocal cords into singing,

it stretches out the vocal muscles

and takes so much tension and strain off the throat!

Especially when you're singing in the morning,

you needs to allow your voice to find

itself, not force it into submission!

The vocal cords are fragile and the best thing we can do for them

is gently ease them into singing... which is exactly

what the lip roll does! OK so, let's try this...

(lip roll) It's basically just a fast series of

"buh buh buh buh buh" so just start there and speed it up!

"buh buh buh"... (lip rolls)

I find it really helps to put your fingers

on your cheeks to just push in a little bit

on the muscles... (lip rolls)

You're basically giving structural support to

the lips—it allows the lips to vibrate

freely without tensing up the throat and jaw muscles!

So just find the best spot to gently push in

on the muscles around the lips so you can do it in a

super relaxed way!

Not everyone needs to hold their lips like this,

but I do find it helps most people either

find the lip roll for the first time, or find it in a more relaxed way.

Lip rolls are amazing because

they not only warm up the voice, but they help

expand our range by finding different places in

the face for the sound to resonate... which means

you're gonna be able to hit those high notes and

low notes in the worship songs... on pitch... without straining your voice!

As you do this, I want you

to feel how, in the lower pitches,

the resonance is sitting down here in the mouth...

As the pitch goes higher, you can feel the

resonance moving higher in the face...

(lip rolls moving higher)

From the mouth, through the pharyngeal cavity,

into the head cavity, and back down.

(lip rolls up and down)

So let's try this, just sliding up and down in your

range, as relaxed as possible!

Now I want you to try that lip roll on a five tone scale (demonstrates).

Just try this with me! Guys, you can be an octave down from my voice!

Now let's do it on an octave scale, like this (demonstrates)!

Try it with me!

(lip rolls) ...higher in your face...

(lip rolls) ...as the notes move higher...

You might feel some cracking or breaking in your voice

as you start doing this... Don't worry about that...

it'll smooth itself out in time, just focus on a relaxed

air flow and a nice clean tone in your voice!

vocal exercise—it will build strength and power

into your voice—it will expand your range—

make your voice more flexible—it will improve breath control...

BREAKING: State Police Claim Virginia Governor LIED About Charlottesville | Top Stories Today - Duration: 3:41.

Virginia's Governor and longtime Clinton ally, Terry McAuliffe, has been caught spreading

multiple lies about the violence that erupted in Charlottesville, Virginia, last weekend.

Gov. McAuliffe launched a media blitz in the aftermath of the violent Charlottesville protests

that resulted in the death of a 33-year-old woman.

While speaking to the media, however, McAuliffe made multiple statements that have been assailed

as falsehoods.

Specifically, as reported by Reason, McAuliffe claimed that the white supremacist protesters

outgunned Virginia State Police, and had stored weapons across Emancipation Park and Charlottesville.

While appearing on the podcast Pod Save the People, hosted by DeRay Mckesson–a Black

Lives Matter activist–Gov. McAuliffe lied and said, "They had battering rams and we

had picked up different weapons that they had stashed around the city."

Multiple news outlets such as The Guardian ran with the dishonest claim that has surrounded

the clash in Charlottesville.

However, Virginia State Police deny that white supremacists were stashing weapons anywhere.

"As a safety precaution in advance of August 12, such searches were conducted in and around

Emancipation and McIntire Parks.

No weapons were located as a result of those searches," explained Virginia State Police

spokesperson Corinne Geller, according to Reason.

As reported by Business Insider, McAuliffe told The New York Times that the white supremacist

protestors were better armed than Virginia State Police.

McAuliffe made the claim to defend against accusations that Virginia State Police did

not do enough to quell the violence.

"It's easy to criticize, but I can tell you this, 80 percent of the [right-wing protesters]

here had semiautomatic weapons," McAuliffe said.

"You saw the militia walking down the street, you would have thought they were an army.

I was just talking to the State Police upstairs; they had better equipment than our State Police

had.

And yet not a shot was fired, zero property damage."

However, Virginia State Police took umbrage at the governor's claim that they could

not handle the group of racists.

Again, Virginia State Police spokesperson Geller was forced to confront McAuliffe's

lie.

"No, the State Police did not have inferior equipment," she told a reporter for The

Washington Free Beacon.

"Our personnel are equipped, and were equipped, with the necessary protective and tactical

gear for their safety and, obviously, to protect those that were in attendance of the event."

However, Geller also rejected the claim that state and local police did not do enough to

stop the violence.

She explained that the large police presence made it look, at times, like police were just

standing around.

However, Geller assured the public that police were very active in stopping any and all violent

clashes.

"As we would respond, a lot of times those skirmishes and situations had already broken

up and dissipated.

That's one reason why we had personnel stationed throughout the city: so we could respond."

Geller explained.

"Under the city of Charlottesville, they fielded 250 calls that day for emergency situations.

So, we were not standing around.

Our folks were actively observing and stepping in when needed."

Once again, as was the case in Mr. McAuliffe's political past, the governor seems to take

great liberties with the truth when it serves his political agenda.

Afgh@nistan offers 17 percent subsidy on cargo flights to India bypassing Pakistan - Duration: 2:11.

After a 17-day delay, the fifth cargo flight carrying over 80 tons of fresh fruit left

Afghanistan's Hamid Karzai International Airport on Thursday, bringing new hope that

flights between Afghanistan and India will now take place on a regular basis.

A number of fresh fruit exporters said government should ensure that these flights are carried

out as scheduled from now on.

Thursday's freight consisted of 60 tons of melon, 15 tons of grapes and 5 tons of apricots.

This is the fifth cargo flight to India since the inauguration of the route in early July.

"Four cargo flights will be conducted every month, if more flights are needed, we are

fully prepared for the operations," said Younus Mohmand, deputy of Afghanistan Chamber

of Commerce and Industries (ACCI).

Meanwhile, officials of Kam Air Aviation company, which is responsible for the aircraft used,

have said that its Boeing-737 plane has the capacity to transport 100 tons of fruit at

a time.

"The plane which we chartered is able to fly anywhere in Asia and Europe, but the chamber

of commerce and industries and fruit exporters should ensure that they have markets outside

the country; we don't have any problem to transfer their products," said Hajji Raqi,

an official from Kam Air.

A number of businessmen have said that in view of exporting more local produce and goods,

government should ensure there are world class cargo services available at Hamid Karzai International

Airport and other airports around the country.

"The fruit should be transferred as soon as possible, the airport should be equipped

according to (international) standards, in that case they would have the ability to keep

the fruit fresh for 24 hours," said local businessman Atta Mohammad Mohammadi.

According to ACCI, problems faced by exporters recently have been resolved.

The Afghan government has announced a 17 percent subsidy for cargo flights to India.

Traders hope however that government will keep this up.

actor Sonny Landham, best known here for playing badass tracker Billy Sole in Predator, died

yesterday in Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 76.

Landham started his career starring in over a dozen adult films.

He played a policeman in his first major mainstream role in Walter Hill's 1979 cult hit, The Warriors,

and he starred in nearly 50 projects over his career.

The Native American actor -- part Seminole, part Cherokee -- was known for his "tough

guy" roles, and performed frequently as a stuntsman.

In addition to Predator, Landham appeared in Poltergeist, Action Jackson, Maximum Force,

Carnival of Wolves, and perhaps most famously, as Billy Bear in Hill's 48 Hrs.

Twelve years later, in 1996, Landham directed his only film, Billy Lone Bear, while also

playing an entirely different Billy Bear -- a good cop hiding from an IRA assassin on a

Native American reservation.

His final credited role was 2009's direct-to-video horror flick, Mental Scars.

In addition to acting, Landham made several attempts at public office.

In 2003, he ran for Governor of Kentucky on the Republican ticket, but did not make it

past the primaries.

He ran briefly as an independent, but withdrew soon after.

In 2008 he ran for a Senate seat on the Libertarian ticket, but after some derogatory comments

he made about Arabs surfaced, the Kentucky Libertarians withdrew their support and kicked

him off their party ticket, saying his "comments were not in keeping with the party's platform

and values."

His candidacy only lasted three days.

Landham died from congestive heart failure and is survived by his son William and daughter

Priscilla.

With President Donald Trump's most controversial senior adviser, Steve Bannon, out of the White House, many people who don't like Trump couldn't contain their excitement on Friday.

CNN host Jake Tapper had a stark reminder for those celebrating: Trump didn't offer implicit support to racists this week because of Bannon. He did it because he's Trump.

Tapper described Bannon as the "architect" of both the final stretch of Trump's presidential campaign and his more controversial strategies, but Tapper warned his viewers not to put the onus on Bannon for the president's widely criticized response to the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

"Those who blame Bannon for the president's controversial comments on race and racists, as many Democrats have done ― that's not supported by facts," he said. Trump revealed his true colors long before Bannon joined his team, Tapper argued.

 He rolled clips of Trump's speeches and interviews given before Bannon signed onto his campaign, including when Trump called Mexican immigrants "rapists," when he said Judge Gonzalo Curiel couldn't do his job because of his "Mexican heritage" and when he wouldn't condemn a white supremacist during an interview with Tapper in February 2016.

HuffPost has also kept a running list of Trump's racism, which dates as far back as the 1970s.
