Youtube daily report w Aug 22 2017

The government completed inspections of the nation's farms for contaminated eggs.

While food safety authorities found the amount of pesticides in the products don't pose health

risks, medical professionals cautions no one can be completely sure at this point.

Lee Jeong-yeon give us the updates.

The government's investigation into the contaminated eggs scare wrapped up earlier this week with

further tests carried out over the weekend.

The Korean government confirmed on Monday that 52 egg farms were found to have been

producing eggs with excessive levels of pesticide not allowed on egg farms.

That number includes three farms added from the weekend's investigation of 420 egg farms

that didn't meet the full requirements of the first inspection last week.

The government says it has seized more than four-and-a-half million tainted eggs and destroyed

over 2-point-4 million of them so far.

It is seeking to calm public concerns sparked by the scare,... saying eggs tainted with

pesticides have little to no impact on the human body.

(KOREAN) "The pesticides found in the eggs pose an

extremely low risk to human health, even under a hypothetical scenario in which a person

consumed an excessive amount of them.

In other words,... a fully grown adult could eat two-point-six eggs every day for a lifetime

and suffer no consequences to their health."

Adding that most of the pesticides are discharged from the body within about a month of consumption,...

the ministry said it will come up with measures to ensure all food is carefully checked before

it reaches dinner tables around the nation.

The Korean Medical Association however, said that the public should take this message with

a pinch of salt.

Although they agree that the pesticides are indeed discharged from the body, it is a stretch

to name specific figures when no long-term studies have been conducted on the effects.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon said Tuesday that he would take charge of putting

an end to the ongoing egg scare and promised to promptly craft measures to ensure that

eggs are safe to eat in the long run.

6 Myths About Introverts To Stop Believing - Duration: 10:15.

6 Myths About Introverts To Stop Believing

If common stereotypes have anything to say on the matter, it's that introverts are

socially awkward loners who abhor large crowds and don't like people very much.

An introvert may not be a particularly friendly or happy person, but hey, at least they're

smarter and more creative than the average extrovert.

Despite comprising an estimated one-third of the general population, introversion may

be one of the most frequently misunderstood personality traits.

But the silent revolution of introverts, catapulted into the spotlight largely by the work of

Susan Cain, author of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking,

is shedding light on the experience of introverts living in a culture that tends to value extroverted

qualities like assertiveness and outspokenness over solitude and quiet contemplation.

Much of the problem stems from the lack of a simple distinction between introversion

and extroversion, the difference is far more complex than being shy versus outgoing, according

to Sophia Dembling, author of The Introvert's Way: Living a Quiet Life in a Noisy World.

The introversion or extroversion distinction has its roots in Jungian psychology, which

views extroverts as being more naturally oriented towards the outside world, and introverts

more focused on their own inner world.

"The description that introverts seem to relate most strongly to is the idea that Jung

presented, that introverts are drained of energy by interaction, and gain energy in

solitude and quiet, whereas extroverts gain energy in social situations with interaction.

"It seems to be most strongly an energy thing, where you get your energy and what

takes it out of you."

If you're an introvert, you might be used to feeling misunderstood (many introvert children

are criticized for not speaking up at school, and grow up being told to "come out of their

shells") and having your actions (or inaction) misinterpreted.

And if you're an extrovert, there's a good chance that you have a least a few misconceptions

about those mysterious quiet types in your life.

So, here are six of the most common false assumptions about introverts, and why they're

wrong.

1.

All introverts are shy, and all shy people are introverts.

Shyness is so often confused with introversion that the two words are frequently used interchangeably,

but in fact, they're remarkably different traits.

As Susan Cain pointed out in a Psychology Today blog, Bill Gates is introverted but

not shy: He's quiet and bookish, but isn't bothered by what other people think of him.

Whereas introversion, as Dembling explains, is commonly defined as recharging and gaining

energy through alone time, shyness has more to do with discomfort and anxiety in situations

involving social interaction.

Many introverts aren't shy; they may feel confident and at ease around people, but simply

require more alone time to balance out the energy they expend in social situations.

Similarly, an extrovert may seek the company of others but feel insecure or uncomfortable

in groups.

"The number-one misconception about introversion is that it's about shyness," says Dembling.

"The best distinction I've heard comes from a neuroscientist who studies shyness.

He said, 'Shyness is a behavior, it's being fearful in a social situation.

Whereas introversion is a motivation.

It's how much you want and need to be in those interactions.'"

2.

Introverts don't like to be around people.

Although introverts do generally need and enjoy more solitude than their extroverted

counterparts, the idea that introverts are antisocial or don't want the company of

others is completely false.

They just tend to enjoy social interaction in a different way than extroverts do.

"There are a lot of negative labels placed on introverts, socially anxious, don't like

people, judgmental (because we sit quietly)," says Dembling.

"Introverts may prefer one-on-one interaction ... we might enjoy large parties but want

to sit and watch the action from the sidelines.

Extroverts may interpret this as not wanting to have fun, but this observation is fun for

an introvert."

Introversion shouldn't be confused with misanthropy, introverts do like people, but

they typically favor quality over quantity in their relationships, choosing to focus

on creating a smaller circle of close friends rather than a large network of acquaintances.

"I like to say that we may like people more than extroverts because we take the time to

get to know them ... It's just a completely different style," says Dembling.

3.

Introverts don't make good leaders or public speakers.

Many introverts enjoy and excel in roles that involve leading others, speaking publicly,

and being in the spotlight.

Bill Gates, Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi and countless other leaders through history have been classified

as introverts.

These leaders may also foster a better team environment, as research has shown they might

work better in groups than extroverts do.

And according to USA Today, roughly four in 10 top executives test as introverts.

Research has found that individuals of both personality types can be well-suited to leadership

and sales roles.

"The good news ... is that in some sense we are all born to sell and equipped to lead,"

writes author Daniel Pink in a Washington Post blog.

"And that means a hidden but urgent challenge for organizations of every kind is to shatter

the stereotype of who's an effective leader."

And when it comes to public speaking, introverts aren't the shrinking violets they're often

thought to be, and they might actually have the upper hand over extroverts.

Because introverts focus on preparing projects and thinking things through thoroughly before

acting, they can be excellent speakers, says Dembling.

Susan Cain's charismatically delivered TED talk on the power of introverts, for instance,

was one of the fastest TED videos ever to reach one million views, and it's just one

of countless examples.

4.

Introverts have more negative personalities.

Because they actually like being alone, introverts are sometimes stereotyped as having more depressive

or negative-slanting personalities.

This misconception likely stems from the fact that extroverts, who gain their energy from

social interaction, might feel sad when they don't spend enough time with people, Dembling

says.

"When extroverts are in an introverted place for too long, spending time alone or being

quiet, they can report feeling sad and depressed," says Dembling.

"Because they feel sad when they're alone, maybe they therefore think we feel sad when

we've been alone.

That misconception is coming from a genuine concern, but it's more putting their feelings

on us."

Most introverts don't connect solitude with loneliness, unless it becomes excessive.

That being said, although introverts do not innately have more depressive personalities,

they do tend to spend more time thinking and analyzing, and if this turns to ruminating,

it could potentially lead to depression.

"There's a definite link between rumination and depression," says Dembling.

"Because introverts do like thinking and being alone, we need to keep ourselves in

check."

5.

Introverts are more intellectual or creative than extroverts.

Many of the most celebrated artists and thinkers throughout history, including Albert Einstein,

Marcel Proust and Charles Darwin, were thought to be quiet types.

Introverts are sometimes touted as being "more intelligent, more reflective, more independent,

more level-headed, more refined, and more sensitive," as Jonathan Rauch writes in

an Atlantic article, "Caring For Your Introvert."

But before any quiet types climb atop an intellectual high horse, it's important to note being

an introvert doesn't innately make you a loftier, or more innovative, thinker.

Extroverts are, of course, often incredibly intelligent and creative; there's just a

good chance that their best ideas happen while they're in a more reflective, or introverted

mindset.

"Creativity occurs in an introverted space … but that doesn't mean we've cornered

the market on it," says Dembling.

"Without both introverts and extroverts, things wouldn't get done.

We've got one person thinking it through and one person going out and slaying the dragon."

6.

It's easy to tell whether someone is introverted or extroverted.

Many introverts could easily go out to a cocktail party and talk up everyone in the room, and

they may enjoy themselves doing it.

But at the end of the day, they'll look forward to restoring their energy by coming

home and reading in bed with a cup of tea.

Given our culture's bias towards extroverted personality traits, many introverts have become

accustomed to being the wolf in sheep's clothing, behaving like an extrovert in social

situations, and perhaps acting more outspoken and gregarious than they feel on the inside.

Or they may enjoy the social interaction and attention, but later crave time alone to recover.

"Most introverts are very good at behaving like extroverts," says Dembling.

"A lot of us are out there behaving as extroverts ... but then we have to shut it down.

I call it my 'dog and pony show.'

But then you have to be quiet and regain your energy for the next time.

The long I'm out there putting on the show, the longer I need to recuperate."

"Introverts really do like people and we like socializing," Dembling says.

"We just like it in different ways than extroverts."

Daddy Longlegs Risk Life ... and Especially Limb ... to Survive | Deep Look - Duration: 4:05.

The forest floor is a rough-and-tumble kind of place.

It's best to stay above it all.

This daddy longlegs does just that...on eight flexible stilts.

The end of each leg is multi-jointed.

It works like a rope.

And see the tip?...There's a hook there.

With every step, he's grappling his way over the obstacles in his path.

Perfect for off-roading.

Even better for climbing.

This guy can handle just about anything you throw at him.

Those front two legs are also used as feelers...

For what's around the next corner.

So really, they only walk on six of their legs, unlike spider, which daddy longlegs

are NOT, by the way. Their closest cousins are scorpions.

Such precious tools require regular care and grooming.

But there's a downside to having these long limbs.

They're easy for enemies to grab onto.

And for that, this daddy longlegs has another solution.

He simply cuts his losses and walks away.

We did not not pull that leg!

Just the slightest grip, and he'll drop it.

He has a built-in mechanism to pinch it off cleanly, losing only a drop of hemolymph.

It's called autotomy, the voluntary release of a body part.

That loose limb can create a life-saving distraction...

But at a cost.

Life without a leg is no cakewalk.

Since the limb's not coming back, the daddy longlegs has to learn a new way to walk.

Ignacio Escalante at UC Berkeley studies how daddy longlegs do this.

Here's one that still has all eight legs.

If it drops one of them...

No problem.

Escalante calls this movement "stotting."

If it drops a second leg, the daddy longlegs starts "bobbing" to get around.

Lose a third... and he still makes it happen.

Don't feel too bad for him.

Even down to five legs, a daddy longlegs can get back to its original speed in less than

a day.

In fact, most daddy longlegs deliberately drop a couple legs in their lifetimes to escape

certain death.

No big deal -- they just let it go.

So really, there are second chances in life.

And sometimes, a third and a fourth.

Hey there, it's Lauren.

You know who's afraid of creepy-crawly things like daddy longlegs and spiders?

Anti-terror drills take place in Seoul's Sadang subway station - Duration: 2:35.

Law enforcement, rescue services and private citizens took part in a civil defense drill

at a Seoul subway station.

An exercise on how to respond to terrorist attacks.

Cha Sang-mi takes us closer to the thick of the action.

An everyday subway journey turns into chaos as smoke fills the car and people rush outside

to escape.

(Stand-up) "Poisonous gas has been released inside the

train just now and a bomb threat is waiting ahead in the subway station"

This lifelike situation is part of a mock counter-terrorism simulation drill that took

place at one of Seoul's subway stations at 2 p.m. Tuesday local time.

As part of the annual "Ulchi-Freedom Guardian" contingency exercises, Seoul Metro held a

civil defense drill at Sadang Station.

The stimulation didn't just end with chemical specialists and rescue teams arriving to save

the passengers.

The anti-terror exercise continued in the subway station where police and special military

units moved in and finally subdued the terrorists.

The simulated bombing and poison gas attacks were to prepare the public for possible terrorism

incidents on a subway car or within the station.

(KOREAN) "The purpose of today's drill is to ensure

the security of passengers and the safe operation of our trains.

We aim to improve our personnel's ability to cope with crises and help civilians quickly

escape in such emergencies."

Apart from the 250 personnel from the police, armed forces, fire department, and local government,

60 civilians also took part in the drill.

It was held by Seoul Metro in conjunction with six other agencies.

(KOREAN) "I thought this drill experience was really

useful as I can really put this exercise into use in case of any emergency situation."

(KOREAN) "I can't imagine what the real situation would

be if this is just a simulation.

I was so scared."

Seoul Metro advises citizens to make use of emergency equipment inside the station in

case of emergency.

Passengers are first advised to press the emergency button and make the subway staff

aware of the situation, then use the fire extinguisher to put out any small fires or

use the hammer to break the subway window.

Passengers should then push the bar on the platform screen doors so that they can escape

the car, before following the evacuation signs to get out.

8 K-Pop Idols Who Know How To Enjoy A Good Book - Duration: 3:16.

8 K-Pop Idols Who Know How To Enjoy A Good Book

Because they are performers, it can be easy to assume that idols dont do much reading. With their impossibly busy schedules, it would be difficult to find time to sit down with a good book.

However, some idols have the motivation and mental strength to continue their literary passions. As a celebration of their intellectualism, we present a list containing eight well-read idols (in no particular order). GOT7s.

Jinyoung is incredibly well-read. From classic authors such as Ray Bradbury, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and F. Scott Fitzgerald to more modern ones like John Green, James Dashner, and Haruki Murakami; Jinyoung has read them all. Soompi. Display. News. English.

300x250. Mobile. English. 300x250. ATF. Though she does read for pleasure, IU is someone who reads books in order to get inspired with ideas for her music. For every track in her Chat-shire album, there exists a book character that was the source of inspiration.

The most obvious example of this influence is in Twenty Three, which emulates the Cheshire Cat from Alices Adventures in Wonderland. This is where the whimsical, childlike vibe of the title track comes from.

Rap Monsters love for reading began years before he became an idol, and this habit has greatly influenced him as an artist.

Fans have found evidence of literary influences in BTSs more recent releases. Here is a screenshot from the backstage of Music Bank during their I Need U promotions, in which Rap Monster is seen reading Herman Hesses Demian long before WINGS came to be.

Youngest Girls Generation member Seohyun is often seen with a book in her hand. She often enjoys reading self-help books or books that teach some sort of life lesson.

For example, Seohyun once recommended Park Seung Ils Writing Hope With Eyes, which tells the story of a Korean basketball player who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs disease.

Known to be one of the biggest introverts among the SEVENTEEN members, it comes as no surprise that Wonwoo is a big reader.

Some of his recommendations include Yu Huas The Seventh Day, Keigo Higashinos Miracles of the Namiya General Store, and Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.

As a songwriter in the industry, its no surprise that Jonghyun is a reader as well. His taste in books is a bit unique, as he seems to prefer more historical and informational content.

Some of his choice picks include Machiavellis The Prince and Michael J. Sandels Justice: Whats The Right Thing To Do?; both of which discuss more real world issues.     A post shared by 이종현 (@cnbluegt) on Jan 13, 2016 at 7:08am PST.

EXOs.

Contrary to his powerful image on stage, Kai knows how to relax and enjoy a good book. He and Suho have been cited as the groups most avid readers, with Kai favoring the works of Keigo Higashino and Bernard Werber.

Maybe people with the name Jonghyun like to read? Thats probably not true, but the fact that two Jonghyuns made the list is funny nonetheless. From Franz Kafka to Edgar Allen Poe, Jonghyun has read an impressive amount of books.

Additionally, he even wrote a book called Skeleton Flower, sharing his short stories and expanding upon his song lyrics. Hey Soompiers, who are your favorite idol bookworms? Are you going to read any of their recommendations? Let us know in the comments below!.

How to Brief a Case - Duration: 4:48.

Welcome to LearnLawBetter.

Have you been wondering how to brief a case, or whether it's even worth your time to

do so?

In this episode, learn when and how to brief a case, so you don't get embarrassed in

class and are prepared for capturing the most important part of a case.

Hi, this is Beau Baez, and today I want to give you some advice on briefing cases.

First, the magic question: should you bother briefing cases since you are likely hearing

conflicting information.

Your professors and academic support faculty are telling you yes, and some upper level

student are telling you no.

Early in my teaching career, this question came up during a faculty meeting.

In the room were very successful academics who attended the most prestigious law schools

in the country.

About half of the people in the room said they briefed all throughout law school, and

the other half said they didn't, quitting after the first semester of law school.

Before answering the question, we first have to discuss the purpose of case briefing, which

is twofold.

First, case briefing is designed to prepare you for the classroom discussion.

For some of you, your professors cold call so you don't want to be embarrassed by not

being prepared.

But even if you're not in that situation, you still need to be prepared because

being prepared will allow for greater engagement during class time.

If you're not engaged you will likely not fully understand the discussion, which will

lead to lower grades.

The second purpose of case briefing is to get the rule of law.

At a bare minimum, before class time you need to find the rule of law for each case, write

it down, and then revise it during class if it's not correct.

This is important because the rule of law is the only information you need after you

finish discussing a case.

So now, let's answer the question of whether you need to brief cases.

The answer is yes and no.

During your first semester you should definitely brief cases, including the case name, the

court's name, the relevant facts, the procedural history, the issue, the rule of law, the holding,

and the court's rationale.

This is essential because what you are learning to read and understand case law.

By understand, I don't mean a superficial understanding, but a deep understanding that

will help you develop the skills you need to succeed.

Most law students fail to brief because they think, they think, they know the case—they don't.

So use case briefing as a method, at least for a semester, to learn how to think like

a lawyer.

Now, after the first semester, if you've mastered the skill sufficiently, then you can cut corners.

You can start writing notes in the margins of your casebook.

Since I'm recommending case briefing, let's talk about the amount of time to spend on

this task.

Don't spend a whole lot of time on case briefing.

Your brief should be no more than a page in length, and ideally about half a page.

Second, don't spend too much time on this, except for articulating the rule statement,

which is vitally important for the final exam.

As to the rest of the case, you need a working knowledge of the case for classroom discussion,

but not complete mastery as you will never look at that case again after class is over.

Some of your colleagues will spend hours on a single case, attempting to master every

part of it.

That's a waste of time and effort.

Since your two goals in case briefing are class engagement and rule identification,

so your time is better spent on other tasks, like outlining and final exam prep.

As I tell my students, if you are called on and you miss some facts or you don't have the

rule exactly right, the usual consequence is a little bit of embarrassment.

But ultimately, most, if not all of your course grade is coming from a single final exam.

So you must use your time in a way that will maximize your grade, not help you feel better

after being called on by the professor.

I hope you enjoyed today's discussion.

I'm okay.

I told you to be careful.

Who told you I was here?

Juyeong.

Hey, what happened?

Why are you so late?

Let's go up.

Let's just talk here.

Or we can go to a cafe.

Let's just go up.

Go, go.

Why are you being like this?

Go. Let's just go.

Hey...

(Episode 57)

It's my fault.

I dozed at the wheel and ran into the car.

You should've been more careful.

Yeah, I'm sorry.

Mom warned me about this.

How's the car?

It seems you and that person

aren't really injured.

The hood of my car is totally destroyed.

And his trunk is a bit dented.

- Let's go. / - Let's go.

If the hood is destroyed, you can't be fine.

I wore a seatbelt, so I'm fine.

I'm really fine.

This is crazy.

Well, it's a relief

you didn't really get hurt.

The repair costs will be covered by insurance.

I have the cheapest insurance,

so it can only cover about $30,000.

So?

It's a really fancy, foreign car.

How much does it cost to fix?

The repair cost and rent fee

will be about $140,000.

What?

$140,000?

Come on.

You brought me up here to talk about that?

This is the most important thing right now.

You must give it your all at times like this.

So?

Will the commercial made by your senior be a hit?

Yes, responses from businesses are pretty good.

They are so sure it's going to be a hit.

So I was pretty awful to Suhyeok.

If you let Suhyeok deal with the project,

the outcome wouldn't have been as perfect.

That's why you opted for the big advertising company.

I thought a lot before making that decision.

You should quit too.

What?

Officer Moo.

I'm more worried about you than Bora.

Why are you overreacting?

What's it about?

It's friendship.

Friendship?

Yeah, friendship.

Both you and Bora have to stop.

You've become fearless.

Now you're even making decisions on my behalf.

But why I do I feel like it's not sincere?

Hey, Dohyeon.

- Mom, what's wrong? / - Mom.

I fell asleep

while tucking Uri in.

And I had a terrifying nightmare.

I'm still shaking.

What kind of nightmare?

I don't know.

I remember a big stone breaking.

I felt like I was paralyzed.

It was so scary.

I was worried that you two might be in danger.

I was just a dream, mom.

I know, I must be getting old. Geez.

It's okay now since you guys are safe.

Go to bed.

- Good night. / - Good night.

I'll go to the cafe near your place.

Come out.

No, I'll see you tomorrow.

It's hard to go out right now.

Okay. See you tomorrow.

Here.

I got this at the market.

It's very sweet and delicious.

Is it a yellow peach? Thank you.

And...

Do you want to talk to me about something?

I'll pay the money back. I promise.

Huh?

The money from Officer Moo's mother.

Okay.

It's just that the situation got really complicated.

I didn't mean to...

I know.

Get some rest, sir.

Okay.

Just call me Taejin.

I'll work on it.

Have some rest. You must be tired.

Have a good rest as well.

What did you get sick from?

I've been feeling off since lunchtime.

I shouldn't have eaten dinner.

Why didn't you take medicine right away?

So foolish.

What are you doing? Just prick my hand already.

It's not as easy as you think.

Stay still.

I just can't do it.

Just take some medicine.

I'll go get you some digestive medicine.

This is faster.

Yes, it does reduce indigestion...

You've never done this before?

My mom did it for me when I was young.

I've never done it before.

Give it to me. I'll do it.

Gosh, okay.

Why are you shaking so much?

How did you catch all those criminals?

This is different.

Okay, just try one more time.

You're comparing it with weird stuff.

It's really black.

You must've had some bad indigestion.

Are you okay?

Right away?

I'm okay.

Lie down.

Wait, I have to check my alarm.

It's all set.

Don't worry about anything.

Just sleep tight.

Okay, good night.

Grandma, what are you doing?

I'm cooking breakfast.

Let me do it.

Why must Taejin starve himself

when there are so many women in this house?

Taejin left already?

I'm sorry. Let me do it.

No need. I'll do it.

I'll just wash the rice and cook it.

I'll finish it since I've already started.

Go back to your room.

I set my alarm, but why didn't my alarm go off?

It must have.

Maybe you just didn't hear it,

or you just turned it off.

Mom.

I turned the alarm off because she was sick

and I wanted her to get some rest.

Why did you do that?

I worked at the farm the day after I gave birth.

Women have to move around a lot.

Once you start being lazy, you can't stop.

Okay.

I just wanted to give you a break...

Go back to your room.

I'll let you know when the food is ready.

Wait for a few minutes.

I'll cook breakfast very quickly.

Get over it.

It's his first marriage,

so he must have gotten very worried.

I understand. They are newlyweds, after all.

There's no time to think about his daughter.

Why did he do that?

He's absolutely tactless to bring up excuses.

He's so childish.

It doesn't feel like he's my father anymore.

I really want to move out these days.

What?

I'll make breakfast.

He's not even embarrassed...

All men are like that.

Does he love her that much?

I thought everything would work out

because she's a police officer.

You have to be careful in front of my mom.

She's amazingly quick-witted.

All right.

But your insurance can't cover it,

and she'll find out soon.

Juyeong!

Okay!

Breakfast is ready.

Okay, keep quiet.

Okay. I'll just eat quietly.

Okay?

Why do you need to help her eat?

What?

Leave Uri alone and focus on eating your own food.

Okay, I will.

Why are you eating so fast?

I need to go out soon.

We have to go to Daegu today.

- Are you taking your car? / - What?

You said you're going to Daegu...

So I thought you might be going there by train.

It's getting late. We have to go.

Goodbye.

- Okay, goodbye. / - Goodbye.

Say it.

Say what?

I heard them talking about insurance.

If you're not going to treat me like a dummy,

just say it.

Mom.

There's always ups and downs in life.

You never know what'll happen next.

We were so happy about Officer Moo's award.

Then, all of sudden, there's an accident.

Why did he have to run into a luxury car?

Did he cause the accident for insurance money?

That happens sometimes.

People run into cars that are changing lanes.

It was his fault.

He ran into the car by accident.

How bad is it?

The trunk is destroyed.

Will the insurance cover it?

He has the cheapest insurance

and it can only cover $30,000.

He has to spend big money

because he was trying to save on insurance fees.

My friend had to pay $30,000

when he accidentally scratched a luxury car.

You used to be in the traffic department.

Is there a way out of this?

If he destroyed the whole trunk, there is no way.

Repairing a luxury car, the rent fee, wages...

It's going to be really tough.

Goodness. So?

How much does he want?

He wants $140,000.

Hurry and eat. We have to go out on patrol.

I really don't want to eat.

You have to pull yourself together at times like this.

Yeah.

Eat up.

We'll figure this out together.

I asked a buddy in the traffic department to help.

Suhyeok, how's everything going?

I'll visit the hospital later.

Why would you go there?

I'll figure it out myself. Just stay put.

Suhyeok! Suhyeok!

You should eat.

It's almost time to go on patrol.

I'll eat if you eat.

Eat it. I'll eat it too.

Oh, gosh. This is shockingly expensive.

What kind of car costs that much to fix?

It's one of the most expensive cars in Korea.

And it's a brand new car he bought 2 weeks ago.

You're dead meat.

If I knew this was coming,

even at the risk of losing my home,

I'd have kept that $20,000.

Suja, you still have the money from Gyeonga, right?

Can I borrow that?

How can I still have it? It's already gone.

Where can I borrow money?

People don't really have money these days...

What if you can't cover it?

If I can't, I'll have to use my security deposit.

You can't do that.

Then am I supposed to just watch

as Suhyeok gets sent to prison?

I would rather die.

Okay, I'll try my best.

What a disaster.

Really...

Are you visiting Dohyeon?

No.

He told me to stay away.

He says he's only a fake patient.

Maybe he feels sorry for you.

Are you having a hard time?

I'm getting by.

You should be.

I'll go to the studio apartment later.

Aren't you busy?

I haven't really taken care of you these days.

Were you upset with me?

It's not like that.

Let's have a mother-daughter date.

Let's get some drinks too.

Okay.

I can't even eat anything because I'm sick.

How can you eat away like that?

The food tastes much better

since I'm looking at you while eating.

Are you on a picnic or something?

Don't be upset.

Your porridge is at the nurse's office.

Do you have a problem with Ms. Heo?

If not, you can eat with her.

But you're here eating with me.

She's really into the stock market these days.

She's good at making money.

All her investments skyrocket in price.

Why the stock market so suddenly?

Maybe she's figuring her own way out now.

Eat slower.

Nobody's going to steal it.

It's my habit.

I used to eat fast while hiding.

Why did you drink that much anyway?

It didn't seem like it was because of Bora.

Do you have a girlfriend or anything?

How did you know?

Yes, I do.

I hit on one girl

and she slapped me in the face.

She doesn't understand a man's pure desires.

Pure desires?

If you have time to visit me, take care of Bora.

Don't make me smell food like sushi here.

Okay, I get it.

Cheers!

Here you go, sea snails.

- Thank you. / - I'd like one more.

Welcome. Have a seat over there.

Over here.

Why is it so crowded today?

What's with that face?

It's like a jackpot.

What jackpot?

Why can't she come out and give a hand?

She's sick. How could she come to work?

It can't last a whole day.

Don't be so merciless.

Hey.

I'll bring you the chicken soon.

She must be waiting for me.

I'm sorry for the wait.

The restaurant got crowded all of a sudden.

It's okay.

It hasn't even been an hour yet.

What's this?

They are the top tutors.

If you make a decision, they can start right away.

It must be super expensive.

Don't worry about it.

I'll take care of it.

Wait.

Mom, are you going to be late?

What are you doing here?

Your brother told me to take care of you.

I'm not a child.

Maybe you seem like a child to him.

Yeah.

I was waiting for you.

Should I go down to the parking lot?

Bora, what can I do?

I don't think I can make it.

Oh, it's all right then...

No, Don't mind it.

Okay.

Were you supposed to meet your mom?

Yes.

I guess she's busy.

Who's Bora?

The daughter of my husband.

He lost his wife.

Haechan's dad is worried.

Is your family fine about you seeing me?

No need to worry about that.

They congratulated me for seeing you guys.

They're sorry they didn't let me meet you earlier.

They must be nice people.

I worked hard, after all.

No need to feel pressured.

He doesn't owe me anything.

I seriously worked my fingers to the bone

during that time.

So I made quite a lot of money.

And I always wanted to be able to support you both

when I met you again.

Does Taejin have a fiance?

No.

And he's not seeing anyone at all?

He's not interested in women.

Not to mention marriage.

Hello.

You're here.

I heard the news.

You must be very worried.

Officer Moo just went out for a bit.

Give him something to drink

to refresh himself.

No thanks. I'm fine.

Come over here.

- Go with him. / - Okay.

Here.

Thank you.

Did you talk to the accident victim?

His demand is simple.

He just wants me to fix the car.

But the cost is way too extreme.

If you can't negotiate, it'll become very serious.

I know.

I have to take responsibility.

Bad luck is just an excuse.

I wasn't careful enough.

Hey.

I have something to tell you.

What are you doing here?

I thought you were going to the hospital after work.

You could have just called.

Why would you come this far?

I thought you wouldn't listen to me on the phone.

What's your plan?

If mom finds out,

she'll use her security deposit.

We can't become homeless.

I can't handle that.

So what?

Are you planning on going to jail?

Suhyeok!

I made myself clear.

You're home early.

When did he come?

He came to my studio apartment earlier.

He heard our conversation.

Sorry, you must have waited a long time for me.

It's fine.

But we should appease dad somehow.

He seems angry.

Don't worry.

It's a shame.

I wanted to get a delicious meal out of you.

Don't make promises you can't keep.

Something came up.

What did?

I was supposed to meet my daughter,

but she came really late.

I couldn't just leave.

Do you think I want to hear those things?

My child is in the hospital.

Do you think I care about those things?

Honey.

I can only endure so much.

Endure?

What did I do so wrong?

Should I have left my daughter alone there

just to keep my promise with Bora?

What?

I can see Bora every day,

but I can't meet my daughter every day.

Good.

I wasn't comfortable talking to you about my children.

I won't talk to you about them ever again.

So don't mention it again either.

You're so timid.

Why do you mind it so much?

What if Father finds out? What about Grandma?

So what?

Do you want me to avoid my mom?

Who said that?

You can meet her.

But it's weird to receive so much money from her.

I don't know.

Taejin would freak out if he found out.

Didn't she mention Taejin?

I think she would miss him more than you.

She asked me if Taejin has a fiance.

So, did you tell her?

I wanted to, but I didn't.

I'm warning you. Don't make a big fuss about this.

I can't just sit back and watch.

Should I talk to Grandma?

Get a grip.

Don't you know Taejin?

Do you think Taejin would change his mind

because of other people's opinions?

Even if his elders told him to stop,

he'd never succumb meekly.

It's actually a relief

he isn't making announcements

of sudden marriage.

It's driving me crazy.

Let's go.

Aren't you going to the hospital?

I'll go there alone.

Moo Gunghwa.

I'll call you when I get back.

Who are you?

I'm Suhyeok's younger sister.

I thought I made myself clear. What do you want?

Sir.

I don't have any police students.

You're a police officer, right?

The guy who came with your brother told me.

Isn't it unfair to take the assailant's side

just because he has an officer as a family member?

You should take the victim's side.

Am I wrong?

I'm sorry.

But can you please forgive him just once?

What are you doing?

Please.

How pathetic.

If you don't have the money, make it up physically.

Your brother told me he would.

Tell him to do it.

I won't negotiate with him, no matter what.

Honestly, I oppose it.

Beakho.

She's a single mother.

That would be a disaster.

How can I let mom and Uri live at a rental home?

How can I just let my son destroy his life?

Dad, you know Saewoong Construction.

Do they still use our capital?

I need to talk to you.

You dislike everything I do, right?

It started when I began seeing my own children.

I'll search for a loan too.

It seems like he's going to get a loan.

Why would he need a loan?

No way...

Top Priorities in Your New Coaching Business - Duration: 13:27.

In today's video, I want to talk about how to prioritize your first steps in your brand

new coaching business.

Prioritizing your work is going to be really important regardless of what stage you are

at in your business.

However, when you're brand new, it's very very easy to get caught up in all of the different

things that you could possibly be doing.

It just leads to overwhelm and people won't even get started.

The other thing that it leads to is burnout.

You try to do too much and you don't really feel that momentum going forward and you burn

out.

We don't want either of those outcomes obviously, so it's really important to prioritize.

The way I see it, there are five things that you can focus on as you're starting your business.

I'm saying five things, but really they all work together.

So, the first one is up-leveling your mindset.

Really two aspects to your mindset, one is just your general mindset, your confidence.

The way you feel about yourself and the work that you're doing.

The other aspect is your mindset specifically around money.

So, it's really important that you feel confident, that you feel really good about the work that

you're putting in the world because there are a lot of other people who maybe are offering

something really similar to you, and that's okay.

If you can recognize that you have a unique voice, a unique gift, and a unique message

to put out in the world, that's not going to bother you.

My belief is that there's more than enough people to serve.

So, if you really have a desire to help people through coaching or through your online business

or whatever it is that you do, they're the perfect clients out there for you, but you

have to believe that for yourself.

It's not enough for me to think that it's possible for everyone.

You really have to believe that the perfect clients are waiting for you and you feel really

good about what you have to offer.

The other aspect that really goes into the general success mindset is developing some

resilience.

One of the mindset shifts that I was able to go through that's been really really helpful

with this, it's just understanding that there's no bad or good or wrong or right when it comes

to the actions that you're taking and what you're doing.

If you take some action in your business and it doesn't work out the way that you'd like,

instead of looking at it like, "Oh, I failed.

This is the worst.

I'm never going to make it," you just take it for whatever it is, which is just another

opportunity to gather feedback.

If you like the feedback, then you continue with that action.

If you don't like the feedback, then you try something different and that's it.

When we start approaching everything from this mindset of just gathering information

and taking the feedback and then making decisions moving forward, it becomes much easier to

just keep moving and keep moving and trying different things and figuring out what's going

to work best for you.

The other really important aspect of your mindset is specifically the way you think

and feel about money.

This is going to have a huge effect when you're running your own business.

One of the ways you can term this would be your money blueprint because we all have one,

our subconsciousness beliefs and thoughts and opinions and feelings about money.

So, for most of us, we begin formulating this from the time that we're a pretty small child,

and we're taking the experiences that we have and the things that our parents say, and that

other people say and what we see and we start forming subconscious beliefs about money.

Seem true from our childlike lens and we don't ever stop and really pull it apart and see

what it's actually been and see what's true and not.

Then as adults, we're still holding on to those beliefs.

So, for example, some people may have heard things like money doesn't grow on trees or

you have to work really hard for what you have.

Then as you get older, you start to internalize that and it seems really really true.

The problem is that some of these beliefs, they might not be serving you.

For a lot of people, they might really be stopping them from having the success that

they want when they're branding their own business.

Even the distinction between the amount of money that you think is possible for you earn,

it might be different from when you're in a job versus when you're working for yourself.

Some people have beliefs about what's okay.

Maybe they don't feel comfortable earning more than anyone in their family has ever

earned, or maybe it doesn't seem fair for them to earn money because they really like

their work.

A lot of people say things to me like, "Well, it's more important for me to have work that

I really like," but that shows that there's an assumption.

I can either have work that I really like or I can make good money.

So, we all have them.

We all have these beliefs.

So, you want to just become aware of what some of these beliefs are and start upgrading

them.

I actually have a really great in-depth powerful workbook that can walk you through some of

those steps.

If you have some beliefs around money that you need to upgrade and you need to upgrade

some of your beliefs around money if you don't have or you're not making the kind of money

you really really want.

So, that would be one of your first priority is really starting to upgrade your mindset,

upping your confidence, upping your beliefs around money.

One of the other things that you're going to be sure to prioritize early on in your

business, it's getting really really clear on who your ideal client is and how you're

going to serve them.

Your ideal client is your muse.

Your ideal client is your starting point for pretty much everything you do.

The services that you're going to offer, the way you speak about yourself, the way you

market yourself.

The better and understanding you can have of your ideal client, the better you're going

to be able to connect with them.

If you actually spoke to 20 people who are ideal clients for you, you're going to have

an understanding of how they talk about their problems, what they really want, exactly how

they explain what they're going through.

The more that you can use the words that they actually use, the easier it is for them to

be able to connect with you.

What you want is to gather enough information about your ideal client that all of your marketing

and everything you offer speaks to them in a really clear way.

You want people to land on your website or read emails and think, "She's talking to me.

She's saying exactly what I'm experiencing, what I'm going through."

That's when you know that you have a good understanding of your ideal client.

The best way to get an understanding of your ideal client, start talking with people.

You have to do some research.

You have to really get in their minds and the easiest way to do that is by connecting

with them.

People will sometimes say, "I don't know where to find them.

I don't know where to start," but the truth is if you can't find these people in real

life or online, how are you going to find clients?

The other aspect that you're going to want to prioritize and starting getting clear on

really early on in your business is your branding.

Your branding is going to be what allows your ideal clients to say that you're the person

that they want to work with, not the other person who is "down the street" or "around

the block" who's offering something really similar to you.

So, your branding has two primary aspects.

The one that you're probably thinking of is the one that comes to mind for most people

is the visual branding.

This is going to be the way that people experience and your brand.

So, the visual aesthetic of your website and any marketing materials that you have, any

fliers or handouts or anything that you put together, the visual aspect.

So, the colors, the fonts, the spacing or the pictures that you use, all of that goes

into the visual element of your brand.

This is obviously really important because this can invoke strong feelings.

People buy from the heart.

They buy from their emotions, how they feel about things, and then they'll justify with

their logic afterwards.

So, if you want to invoke a certain feeling from people who experience you, who see your

website, then the visual aspect of your branding is going to be very important for them.

So, the other aspect of your branding that is equally if not more important is your messaging.

To your messaging what you really believe and what your brand and business beliefs.

So, your messaging is going to be the other thing that sets you apart from the other service

providers who are really similar to you.

It's totally okay if you're offering something that someone else offers.

I'm obviously not the only millennial career business coach out there.

I have a unique message and the clients that are supposed to work with me resonate with

that message.

So, it doesn't actually have any effect whatsoever that there are other people who have a similar

business model as I do.

The same goes for you.

So longs you have a message and a voice, then it's okay if there are other people who offer

something that's really similar.

The other thing to keep in mind about branding is that if you're the face of your brand,

which if you're a service provider you're probably are, your branding needs to be really

genuine.

It really needs to fit you.

What happens with branding like with anything else is that there are trends and it can be

very easy to be drawn into those trends than to unfollow them because they're working for

someone else.

But if it's not you, it's not going to ring true and people will recognize that and you

won't resonate [inaudible 00:09:14] with your ideal clients.

So, when you're coming up with your branding, when you're developing that, you want to make

sure that it's staying very closely aligned with who you actually are.

The fourth thing that you going to want to be sure to prioritize earlier on in your business

is setting up a great infrastructure.

So, I know when I say infrastructure that makes it sound like some huge system that

you have to have in place before you can get started, and that's not the case at all.

It's more just the matter of doing some of those administrative tasks that are important

and are going to really serve you to have a setup.

When you're first starting, there's only three that you really need to focus on right from

the get go and those are having a clear way of communicating with your clients, a contract,

and a way of scheduling.

You don't have to have a lawyer draft your very first contract.

You can create it yourself.

It doesn't need to be anything complicated.

It simply needs to outline what you provide, what you don't provide, what your services

are and are not, your cancellation policies are, your refund policies, things like that.

Anything that you really need a potential or a new client to know.

So, get your contract setup.

So, when I'm saying a way to schedule, I don't necessarily mean you have to automatically

schedule.

You don't necessarily need to use an automatic scheduling, to begin with.

You just need a way of keeping things organized.

So, especially if you're just starting out, I actually don't recommend that you have people

who are interested in speaking with you or working with you.

Just have a link.

When you're trying to fill your business, when you're just starting up, it's better

for you to have the rapport that you build by going back and forth.

Yes, it's a little bit more time-consuming, but you can start developing that relationship.

Once your calendar is pretty booked and you really don't have the time to email someone

back and forth with potential times, then that's totally fine.

Use a calendar link in.

There are plenty of great ones out there, Statutory app, Calendly, Schedulicity, Acuity.

Those are some really common and popular ones.

But when you're starting even just keeping track of things in your Google calendar and

emailing people, building that rapport and get their appointment schedule, I mean it's

a really great way to approach it.

So, you want to just start thinking about those administrative tasks.

As you begin getting more clients, there's going to be some things you're going to want

to [inaudible 00:11:49].

The most important of which is building your mailing list.

You're also going to want to have an email marketing system, but we can talk about that

another time because that's going to require a little bit more thought and work.

The last thing that you're really going to make sure you're focusing on is am I doing

the activities that are going to bring in money?

So, one of the activities that can bring in money when you're brand new as a coach or

any other service provider where you're working with people one-on-one, getting new clients.

So, with coaching, the way you're going to get new clients is through having conversations.

So, you have to start finding people to connect with and talk about what you do and find ways

to help them.

When I was first starting on as a coach, I worked with over 100 people for free.

Those conversations ended up being really valuable because some of them ended up coming

back to me and asking to be clients, or they had referrals for me, or they had opportunities

to get me published some place, or they were just great contacts.

It was just networking and making acquaintances.

So, that's really the other thing that you want to focus on is just getting out there

and serving.

Start bringing in money and as a new coach, the fastest way to cash is one-on-one clients.

The more people you can start talking to, the more opportunities.

Those are the things that you really want to prioritize in your brand new coaching business.

I hope this was helpful.

Have you tried these methods? - Duration: 7:57.

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to my channel!

I'm Angelina.

And today I'm going to talk about finding my writing process.

I've gone through a lot of methods that were not exactly for me, and then again they were,

but not entirely.

I'm just going to go ahead and tell you everything about it, because it has been two years, and

I haven't finished a book.

I know what you think, but if you're a struggling writer then maybe you understand.

It just takes a lot of time to get it right.

As I said before I started out in 2015 and I started with an idea that I wanted to put

onto paper, or type into my keyboard.

And I just looked up how to write a book.

And I found "Writing Fiction for Dummies", which was written by Randy Ingermanson, who

is also the creator of the snowflake method.

In case you don't know this method - I'm going to leave a link down below, where it's explained

in detail.

I'm just going to tell you that it has these 10 steps and you work your way through these

10 steps, and you basically have to work your way from the big plot points, over creating

the characters, and weaving them into the story, through to the details.

You start by outlining the big pieces of the story and then you work your way down to the

details.

This is basically how a snowflake works.

It starts with the big arms and then all the tiny arms spread from there.

It worked really well for me.

The problem was that it was my very first story and I just came up with a bunch of cliche

ideas.

And I didn't realise this until like nine months into the process.

So then I had to scrap that book because it was a total trope.

It was the standard dystopian story.

I just scrapped it.

I wanted to write a new book.

Now I had enough ideas, I just needed to come up with a process.

And then in October 2015 I found out about National Novel Writing Month, which is "Nanowrimo".

It's this website, where all the writers can sign up and motivate each other to basically

write 50000 words in a month.

It's really a great motivator.

The thing is: you should really know what you want to write, because it's easy to get

stuck, if you don't know what you want to write about.

So I knew I needed to outline a little bit at least, and I knew that I didn't have that

much time to do it because it was already October.

Nanowrimo is every year in November.

Then I punched out an outline in two or three weeks and it was really rough.

And then I started writing in November and I got like 30000 words in, which is pretty

amazing, but then I got stuck, because I literally didn't know whether my characters were supposed

to be going left or right.

So I scrapped the entire thing again, and - well, actually I didn't scrap it, I just

put it aside.

Then I didn't know which other story I wanted to write, so I took that story again and I

outlined it further, but I was unable to come up with a decent ending, with a satisfying

ending for me personally anyway.

I spent a lot of time outlining again, but as I said, I couldn't find a decent ending,

and I put that story aside as well.

Then Nanowrimo 2016 rolled around and I thought "Ok, what the heck, I'm not gonna do it with

this entire outlining thing, I'm just going to pants."

In case you don't know: There are "plotters" and "pantsers".

These are writers.

The plotters basically plot the entire outline for their story before they actually sit down

to write.

And the "pantsers", they sit down and write "from the seat of their pants".

This is basically what I tried then.

This was not for me at all.

I only wrote 5000 words and scrapped it, because I had no idea where this story is headed.

I scrapped it.

And I said, "Never mind, I'm going back to outlining."

Yes, these were the 3 methods.

I had this huge outlining process for my very first story that was too cliche.

Then I had an outline, which I only worked on for three weeks and didn't really get me

that far, because I didn't know the details.

It didn't really work for me.

And then I tried to "pants", and it didn't really work for me.

So now I'm going back all the way, to outlining.

I'm not exactly using the snowflake method but my own thing that I've put together for

myself, because I've been reading a lot about writing and story structure.

And I created a really detailed process for myself.

Now I'm trying to apply this to the stories that I want to write right now.

I just basically want to have every single detail planned out before I actually sit down

to write, so I can really focus on the writing itself and not so much on the story.

The developing the story itself is my favorite part.

The actual writing isn't that hard.

If you have everything outlined, the actual writing isn't that hard.

I've experienced this.

If I know where the story is supposed to be headed, I can really sit down and I write.

I punch out like 2000 words in an hour.

It's really that fast, if you know where the story is headed.

If you don't know, most of the time you're just sitting there and thinking, "okay, where

is this going?"

Then you have to figure out all the details while you're writing, and it's just a pain

in the rear.

That's what I want to do now.

And I really hope you want to join me on that journey, because I want to share this process

with you.

And maybe it helps you, too, if you're struggling.

I hope you'll stick around for that.

I'm going to upload another video on Tuesday.

Until then: Have a nice week!

Bye!
