Solutions to Women's Hair Loss - Duration: 4:22.

We have an amazing team at Jeffrey Paul hair and scalp specialist who help others

with their hair loss. But in this next story you'll learn how one of our team

members became a client when she began suffering from hair loss.

She went from easing the minds of our clients to facing her own emotions about

the process. This is Maxie's story. I'm Maxie, I work here at Jeffrey Paul's as the

office coordinator. My hair loss actually began with when I was in my 30's. The

first thing that I noticed was after I gave birth to my third child my hair

changed texture, color, thinning, and as I got a little bit older and went into my

40's I noticed that I had a great deal of more hair loss. Actually every time I

would get into the shower and wash my hair and get out of the shower and comb

my hair I looked to the floor and there was nothing but piles of hair everywhere.

I thought, well this is just the way it is as you're getting older, and then I

thought well I'm going into menopause, maybe this is just how it's going to be

for me. The hope actually came when I began to work at Jeffrey Paul's because

I wasn't educated on hair loss. Through the process of learning everything that

I know now about Jeffrey Paul and what we do to restore beautiful hair, I know

that there's hope.

For me it was really easy as far as the hair consultation going over all the

different solutions that we had to offer because I knew them. However when you're

talking about yourself again it's different. Everybody made me feel very

comfortable with my hair solution that was chosen for me. In the very beginning

of my hair loss I went through an experience with the scope, which you hear

the word scope and you're thinking wow, and it really gave me the the insight to

see how big my hair follicles were and how much damage was really done. In the

mold process it was really very comfortable. It's a very, very easy

process. You're not doing anything. You're just sitting there while somebody is

mapping out the top of your head. When I received my hair replacement solution

it was amazing to me that it was an integration to my own hair. With this

hairpiece that I'm wearing, my hair is pulled through, so it's partially my hair

on top as well as the hairpiece and I just feel more natural that way, I love

it. I love my hair. I love the fact that I don't have that bald spot in the back of

my head or in the front. My self-esteem has been built up because I

am so worried that somebody's going to look on top of my head and see where my

spotty areas are. This is a great fit for me.

We want to thank our show sponsor, Wigs for Kids, whose mission is to help

children look themselves and live their lives. If you'd like more information on

Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery (a capella) - Doxology - Duration: 4:32.

Come behold the wondrous mystery In the dawning of the King

He the theme of heaven's praises Robed in frail humanity

In our longing, in our darkness Now the light of life has come

Look to Christ, who condescended Took on flesh to ransom us

Come behold the wondrous mystery He the perfect Son of Man

In His living, in His suffering Never trace nor stain of sin

See the true and better Adam Come to save the hell-bound man

Christ the great and sure fulfillment Of the law; in Him we stand

On Christ the solid rock I stand All other ground is sinking sand

Come behold the wondrous mystery Christ the Lord upon the tree

In the stead of ruined sinners Hangs the Lamb in victory

See the price of our redemption See the Father's plan unfold

Bringing many sons to glory Grace unmeasured, love untold

Grace unmeasured, love untold (love untold)

Come behold the wondrous mystery Slain by death the God of life

But no grave could e'er restrain Him Praise the Lord; He is alive!

What a foretaste of deliverance How unwavering our hope, our hope!

Christ in power resurrected As we will be when he comes

On Christ the solid rock I stand

I CAN'T Get Excited Anymore! | James Masters - Duration: 7:10.

So I really struggle to feel excited anymore in fact I haven't felt true

excitement for a good couple of years now. It doesn't really matter what I'm

doing or what the activity is or who I'm with whilst doing it I just I don't get

that feeling of really really wanting to do the thing you know I can't seem to

muster that sort of energy or hyperness that that excitement sort of entails and

I'd really like to try and explore that in this video but first I think I need

to kind of define what my... my version of excitement is so what my version of

excitement is is it's sort of looking forward to something taken to eleven so

you can look forward to something you know you can look at a day or look

forward to a day will look forward to a night out with your friends and say oh

that might be quite nice actually yeah but then you've got excitement and it's

basically that feeling taken to eleven so instead of going oh yeah that'll be

nice that'd be nice it would be like oh I can't wait to get there and do the

thing you know it's like that to me is what excitement is and that's really

what I struggle with at the moment no matter what I'm doing I just can't seem

to muster the energy for excitement it's almost like there's something missing up

here which... the part of my brain that governs excitement and emotions of that

nature I'm trying to think of the name that I want to what the hell that I

watched you want to say there's a name for it and I cannot remember................ no I'm sure

it'll probably come back to me later on in the video but I don't get that I

don't get a feeling of good anticipation all I really get at the moment is bad

anxiety so yeah that kind of sucks but it just feels like I'm..... something's

missing up here I seem to have lost something somewhere along the line

from transitioning from a teenager to an adult I seem to have yeah I seem to have

lost something in that transition relating to getting excited about things

it's like I said I haven't felt true excitement for a good six or seven years

now you know even my birthday doesn't excite me anymore

it's just another day you know there's nothing really that special about it

it's just the march towards old age now maybe I've become a pessimist that's

probably why I don't get excited for things because generally I'll think that

well actually it's not going to be as good as you think it's gonna be maybe

that's the reason why I I just don't really get excited maybe it's something

I've got to work on but just letting myself feel excited about things and

just letting those emotions manifest I suppose but from is I don't really know

how to go about doing that and that's the problem because I've almost

forgotten what excitement feels like and I just haven't felt it for so long

that I've forgotten what it feels like so I don't even know whether I'm actually

feeling excitement or whether I'm just feeling extremely happy which in itself

doesn't really happen very often but I don't know what excitement feels like

anymore another thing is is that I don't really know when it began I I know that

I haven't really felt excitement for the last six or seven years but it could

have been before then that it started I'm not 100% sure I mean it could have

just been the fact that my previous job pretty much ground all the excitement

out of me and maybe something about that experience is just made me go yeah

whatever but I can't say for sure and I don't

even know where to start looking it's an emotion that I want to feel it's

just my body just doesn't do it automatically

I'm almost maybe thinking it's because I haven't really had anything that

exciting going on in my life anyway um I don't usually get out a lot I don't do a

lot of activities mainly because I can't afford them at the moment you know I

can't afford to go out on nights out every week with my friends I can't plus

the fact that my friends have their own lives which they're eating

they're not available every week anyway so I think I just haven't had anything

to get excited about but even the stuff that I do have a reason to get excited

about one thing being which for my birthday I got one of these like gift

things as a matter of fact I've got it here it's one of these things where you

can go to a track and you can it's one of those one of those then where you can

see that so I got one of those for my birthday my parents very kindly gifted

it to me it's a strange thing I'm really looking forward to it and I'm not truly

excited about it you know I think it's gonna be a freaking great day which I am

gonna be vlogging by the way so look out for that video later on but where there

should be excitement there is a little bit of apathy really it's a very weird

thing excitement is something I feel that everybody should be able to feel

and and this is where you come in you watching this video do you have any

insight on this do you have any suggestions for where I could perhaps

start looking do you have any advice for me regarding this because I would like

to feel excited again you know I feel like I'm missing out on

something by not being able to feel excitement but as I say I don't know how

I don't know how to go about that so I think my closing thoughts on this really

as that's all I really had to say on it ah that's I can't feel excitement mainly

due to a few factors I I think it's because not a lot is going on in my life

but even the things that I do have going on in my life I'm not truly excited for

and I think it's I don't quite know what's caused it in all honesty I don't

know what's caused me to stop being excited and it's something I very much

like to get back and I would welcome anyone's advice on how to do that

because I'm kind of pissing in the wind here

Lisa's gastric band diary - Week 17 - Duration: 5:06.

Hi! So here I am again

Yeah. So last time I spoke to you

I was talking about setting myself a realistic weekly weight-loss

challenge and I was aiming for three to four pounds per week.

That's kind of not happened

if anything things have gone really really wrong erm

I think I must really need that next fill now because my appetite is still there

the portion sizes that i'm eating are still quite large, obviously not as large

as they were post-op, but considering, you know, the change in portion sizes I

was having after the surgery, it has gone up a bit and I'm finding that I'm

actually needing it to actually get full. I'm still trying to keep it all quite

healthy so I'm having, you know, potatoes, vegetables, white meat if I can.

So

I'm not eating the most unhealthiest of things, but the portions are still

quite large and for me it's quite a worrying

time really because obviously I don't

want to end up back in the same situation and any time that you know

I'm eating the meals and I'm trying not to finish them, you know, I don't finish the

meals, however what I am eating is more than before and yes I did set myself this

weight loss which I thought was going to be doable, however it's really not been

and it's quite worrying. I know it's just one of those things you know that

happens along the way. One of the hurdles that you have to get over, but when I did

go on the scales, I'd actually put on one pound and I know in the grand scheme of

things a pound isn't a lot, but when you kind of been through this journey I was

actually devastated, you know, to see that. I was really really upset and I had all

these ideas going through my head you know. Oh what if, what if what if.

And I kind of have to like take a step back, take a breath and just think, you know, what just

just calm down. So yeah, willpower still massively a feature and

anybody that says you know having a gastric band is a quick fix it's really not.

I can't even explain the amount I have had to try this week and it was

only you know towards the end of the week that I did weigh myself and yeah

it's just not a good feeling. So I think the sooner I get booked in for my next fill, the

better. I think it's going to put my mind at rest and it's going to stop me

worrying. But you know you do worry and I was quite surprised about how

much it did actually affect me.

I knew that if I did put on I was going to

be a bit gutted, but when I actually saw it on the scales I just I couldn't

believe it because I just never thought that that was going to happen and I've

heard stories, you know, I've read things and seen other people's blogs where

people have said they've put on.

I said on no, that'll never be me.

And it is, i'm in that

situation now so yeah. Now's the time to you know pull my socks off and get

things back in gear because obviously I don't want to, I don't want

to put on. I am so on the 15-stone Club which is a bonus because if I wasn't I

would be devastated. Even more than what I was when I weigh myself but you

know it's time to put things into perspective now really and I just really

need to push myself and I am still going to the gym and I'm going two times a week

now I found that going the three times a week it's just not doable anymore so

I'm going twice and I am having longer sessions though to make up for you

know missing out on that extra day so that, that's obviously got to be helping

Again you know I've kind of.. I suppose one of the good things about

having these larger meals now. not that it's a good thing. but I'm not snacking

in between before obviously when I was snacking it was on the healthy things.

Cucumber sticks, carrot sticks things like that. I'm just not feeling the need

now so it's literally breakfast, dinner, tea and then that's it. I'm done.

But you know when I do you get my next fill, hopefully things will change a lot and

I do, I would like to keep breakfast, dinner, tea and not have to

snack in between I'm really would. But obviously just at smaller sizes.

So,

I will check in with you all again next week after I've given my head of wobble and

see if I can get rid of this extra pound that I put on and also see if I can get

you know a bit more of a loss as well and hopefully I'll have some news about

booking in for you know fill number three so we'll see how things go but all

in all it's not been a fantastic week but it's not been the worst.

So I shall see you all soon I'm looking forward to speaking to you

bye bye

We need to change how we bury the dead - Duration: 5:52.

When I say "funeral" this is probably what you think of, right?

The cemetery, the casket, the gorgeous floral arrangements.

Vin Diesel stylishly going two buttons undone on the dress shirt.

But what if I told you that other than Dominic Toretto's effortless style,

this was probably the worst way you could dispose of a body?

This traditional casket in the ground method most of us are used to

is what journalist Mark Harris calls a "modern burial."

And that is the chemical embalming of the remains,

the burial of the body or the placement of the body into a metal casket,

and then the placing of that casket and embalmed body

in the bottom of the grave that we call the burial vault.

So that's pretty much the American way of death.

Aside from being a great name for a novel,

the American way of death actually turns out to be pretty terrible.

The average cost of modern burial runs on average from $10,000 to $12,000.

Although you can talk to families who will tell you they paid a lot more than that.

In many cases, a lot more.

This KISS casket alone will set you back seven grand.

No word on if the amps are included though.

The funeral industry has also been known to engage in predatory business practices,

like selling vulnerable families add-ons and services that they don't need.

They've also been the subject of a number of class action lawsuits,

including one for conspiring to fix the prices of caskets at artificially high prices.

"Modern" burials are also incredibly wasteful.

The average grave site takes up 32 square feet of land in a cemetery.

And that's just space.

It uses a staggering amount of resources as well.

Which almost sounds kind of fun right?

Grill up some hotdogs, toss some diving rings in for the kids to fetch.

Not so fast.

Formalin, which is the formaldehyde-based preservative solution embalmers use, is incredibly

toxic.

OSHA deems it a dangerous carcinogen and strictly regulates its use,

and the EPA treats it as a hazardous waste.

Embalmers experience higher levels of brain, colon, and prostate cancer as well as leukemia.

To embalm a typical body it requires 3 pounds of this formalin solution

and sends 120 gallons of untreated "funeral waste" directly into the sewage system,

including blood, water, fecal matter, organ fluid, and carcinogenic chemicals,

as well as whatever unknown diseases the body contains.

Okay cool, so modern funerals suck.

But what are the other options?

Well, let's start with cremation.

Countries all across the world cremate bodies.

In Great Britain, 75% of people get cremated,

in Switzerland it's 85%,

and in Japan that number is almost 100%.

Two years ago, for the first time in this country's history,

more Americans were cremated than buried

and then pretty soon we're going to hit 50% of Americans being cremated.

For one thing, it's a lot cheaper.

A typical cremation costs around $1,400 compared to the $10,000 to $12,000 price tag we mentioned

earlier.

(Again, a little more for that sweet KISS casket.)

Cremating a body also requires much less space,

since there doesn't need to be a grave.

And it doesn't require a swimming pool full of formaldehyde either … sorry kids.

You can also do all sorts of fun stuff with your ashes like

put them in fireworks,

spread them in a National Park,

or even turn them into a reef.

But is it actually better for the environment?

So it sounds like cremation is better, although it's far from perfect.

Is there no way to do this without hurting the environment?

Swedish scientists asked that same question and developed something called promession.

It's a process where you freeze a corpse in liquid nitrogen,

rapidly vibrate the body so it breaks into millions of tiny particles in just a few minutes,

then freeze dry the particles and remove the harmful metals leftover from your dental fillings.

You're left with a fine dust which actually looks very similar to cremated remains.

It solves most of the problems of "modern" burial and cremation

but unfortunately hasn't been approved for human beings yet.

Another option is alkaline hydrolysis,

where a body is put into a chamber which is then filled with water and lye,

pressurized, and heated up to about 320 °F.

The body tissue is broken down in a process that's similar to natural decomposition,

and dissolved to nothing but a skeleton in about 12 hours.

Damn, spooky.

It's more environmentally friendly since there's zero toxic emissions

and it has about one-tenth of the carbon footprint as a cremation.

All that said, the simplest option might be natural burial.

A number of natural cemeteries have sprung up across the country

where unembalmed bodies are buried in biodegradable containers,

or sometimes nothing at all, and allowed to decompose naturally.

It's inexpensive, natural,

and can actually help preserve and restore vulnerable land and wildlife.

Not to mention it's how humans have done it for most of recorded history.

No matter what the method, though, it's clear that we have to reform the way that

we bury the dead.

In less than a quarter-century 76 million people in America alone

will get to the average life expectancy of 78 years.

If all those people were buried in traditional graves,

we'd need a cemetery the size of Las Vegas to accommodate their bodies.

The point is, we're all going to die.

The question is, what are we going to do with all the bodies?

For more infomation >> We need to change how we bury the dead - Duration: 5:52.

English Suffixes -Y -ISH -ESQUE - Learn English Grammar - Duration: 2:21.

Today we're going to do some awesome suffixes

To describe things like weather, you can use the suffix "Y"

But you can also use this to describe people's appearance

For example:

If somebody has a lot of hair

They are "hairy"

Or another example "Shiny" or like the guy in twilight "Sparkly"

Notice you're putting a noun with the letter "Y"

So you can also describe tastes and smells

For example:

This tastes fishy

Or lemony

Or my tea is milky

So those are most common for tastes and smells,

But for colours and times, we add "ISH"

This means not exactly that colour or time, but, more or less

For example:

So she's asking "What colour are my eyes?"

He can say "Not exactly green, not exactly blue"

Greenish bluish

If you're not good with meeting people on time

"Let's meet at 8ish"

Not exactly eight, maybe a bit before, maybe a bit after, ...eight-ish!

You can also just use "ish" alone

For example:

"Are they good-looking?"

"Ish"

"Was the movie good?"

"Ish"

Remember: "ish" is kind of informal

...or informal-ish

But to say that something is in the style of something in a more formal way

You can say: "Esque"

For example:

This church is in the style of a Roman Church

It's "Romanesque"

If something's in an Arab style in "Arabesque"

If something sounds like it's from a Kafka novel, It's Kafkaesque!

See you in the next class. Bye!

Healthy Breakfast Options - Wellness Tip Ep. 19 - Duration: 2:08.

Mornings are busy, which makes it easy to start your day

by eating food that doesn't promote health.

In this video, we are going to give you a few simple breakfast options

to start your day right.

Breakfast provides the body with fuel after a long, overnight fast.

Actually, that's where it gets its name, you are "breaking" a fast.

So, Dr. Michele, tell us what breakfast does for our body.

Apart from providing us with energy, breakfast restores essential nutrients,

like B vitamins and protein.

The body needs these essential nutrients and research shows that if these are missed at

breakfast, they are less likely to be compensated for later in the day.

Breakfast can be good for waistline too.

The main reason for this is, if you skip breakfast, you're more likely to reach for high sugar

and fatty snacks mid-morning.

Breakfast also restores blood sugar levels, which are needed for the brain to function.

This can improve memory and concentration levels.

So, let's talk about what to eat for breakfast.

Most importantly, you want to aim for around 30 grams of high-quality protein.

One of the best sources is farm raised eggs, each egg containing around 6 grams.

Obtaining this amount of high-quality protein, along with heart healthy fats from the yolks,

ensures that blood sugar elevation will not rule the beginning of our day.

The best way to prepare your eggs is in the omelette form with plenty of fresh vegetables,

like spinach, mushrooms, kale, and tomatoes.

And then finish off this delicious breakfast with low glycemic fruits, like berries, apples,

or oranges.

If you can't eat eggs for some reason, or you get tired of them,

we recommend a high-quality pea or beef protein shake.

Be sure to include green vegetables, low-glycemic fruits and unsweetened almond or coconut milk

in your shake.

F ing Language - Duration: 2:32.

Let's take about your [beep] language.

[upbeat music]

Welcome back, Young Achiever.

Today, I'm talking about language.

All those bad words that Mama told you never to say.

Well, why the [beep] would I want to do that?

Well for one, there's no content to what you just said.

You used a filler.

It's like those lovely little anime episodes

that nobody wants to watch.

Whatever you just said didn't have as great of an impact

or as much detail as it could of had.

You could've used a much more descriptive word,

pull out your dictionary

and impressed someone.

Not only that, what you say defines someone

and if you're constantly known for saying bad things,

people will treat you differently.

So why should I care what I say?

Yeah, why should I care what the [beep] I say?

One of the reasons I don't use language very much

is the impact.

Whenever you say something so much so often,

it doesn't carry its weight anymore.

If I were to constantly talk to you about one topic,

one topic,

one topic,

you'd get bored very fast.

So why do we let people do it with what they say?

Whenever I use curse words,

which are not very often

and it's usually not on purpose,

it definitely carries a lot of weight.

I've had my employees turn around and go, what?

What happened?

Because they never hear it from me.

They know that [beep] hit the fan.

I do say it when I get hurt though,

I will say that.

Oh, my [beep] foot.

So what can you use instead?

I would suggest doing what Eminem did,

pull out your dictionary and read it.

It may sound quirky, funny.

I was that kid when I was little,

five years old.

My grandpa gave us an encyclopedia kit

and I was flipping through reading it

late hours of the night.

It's probably from the 80s still,

but I love learning and that's what I did.

Every once in awhile,

I'll still pull up dictionary.com

and say, oh, that's an interesting word.

How can I put that into a sentence?

It would make my speech so much edifying

and interesting to everyone listening.

So what are your alternatives?

Grow your vocabulary.

Don't just say things that you know over and over.

Learn.

If you hear a word that you don't know,

ask, "what does it mean?" or look it up.

You live in the age of information.

You can access almost anything on the internet

and too many things to be honest,

but you can go out there and learn

to put your speech on the next level.

'I Am' - Just a Minute! - August 24, 2017 - Duration: 1:01.

The Pharisees had had it with all of Jesus's crazy talk.

So much so they said, "Are we not right in saying that you are a Samaritan and have

a demon?"

Not that was a low blow.

But it didn't keep Jesus from telling the truth.

He said to these Pharisees, "If anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."

How can that be, they wondered?

Abraham died.

Are you saying you are greater than Abraham?

Just who do you think you are Jesus?

To this he responded, "Before Abraham was, I AM"

The same name God used with Moses when he declared, "I am has sent me to you."

Jesus is God and he declared it to these skeptics in the clearest of terms.

They picked up stones to stone him, but to those who believe him, they will never taste

death.

Three Blind Mice | Number Song | Baby Nursery Rhymes Songs & Kids Song Collection | Little Treehouse - Duration: 2:03.

Three blind mice. Three blind mice.

See how they run. See how they run.

They all ran after the farmer's wife

Then got on a boat to sail in the night

Have you ever see such a sight in your life

As three blind mice?

Three blind mice. Three blind mice.

See how they sail. See how they sail.

They sailed on to a fantasy land

And met Wendy and Peter Pan

Did you ever see such a sight in your life

As three blind mice?

Three blind mice. Three blind mice.

Look at what they found. Look at what they found.

They found a chest full of cheddar cheese

Then ate to fill their tummies

Did you ever see such a sight in your life

As three blind mice?

Three blind mice. Three blind mice.

They're going back to the farm. They're going back to the farm.

They're going back to see their friends

That loved them so much to have them there

Did you ever see such a sight in your life

As three blind mice?
