Youtube daily report w Aug 9 2017

[intro music]

Hi, and welcome to another episode of the trans 101 series

Today we are going to be talking about

Social transition

What does that even mean?

What is a social transition?

Why am I complicating everything by introducing all of these different types of transitions

To this trans 101 video?

Well, I wanna talk about social transition because

It is something that effects almost every single trans person before they are able to medically transition

If they choose to medically transition

More on medical transition in the previous episode

Please take a look at that if you don't know what I'm talking about and then come back to see me here

What do I mean by social transition?

Well, social transition can mean

Um, coming out to people around you, your friends, your family

Yourself, um, your partner

All of these things, all of these different aspects of your life

But also coming out at work

Alright, and also being able to tell all of these people

That yes, that you are trans

But another aspect of social transition is to

Tell them the new name that you are now going to be going by

And the pronouns that you're going to be using

So yes, this kind of is like, uh, coming out

Because that's basically the main aspect of the beginning of what social transition is, so

[lip smack]

I'm gonna talk about social transition before people start hormones, if they choose to go on hormones

And the reason why I wanna talk about this is because it's something that is so important

And something that

Um, some people can go through and some people

Don't want to go through, so

Um, yeah, let's, let's, let's go into it a little, little more

So, I know some people who have come out as trans

And are on waitlist

In order to get hormones and therapy and, and

All of that fun stuff

And in order for them to still feel like

They are taking charge of their life, and they are coming out, and they are expressing themselves

They have come out to everyone, and they have told them you are now going to call me

By, you know, Chase

And you are going to be using he pronouns

To refer to me

This might be very hard for some people

Because the person that is socially transitioning might not

Physically look like the gender they are trying to present as

I know that sounds rude, but listen

We are in this society that

Has this box, these two boxes of male and female

And if you look like one box, people are going to assume you are that box

So, socially transitioning

Is basically looking at these two boxes

And kind of telling people, I know I look like this

But I am this and you need to see me as this

And that can be very hard for some people, especially if the person, the trans person

Gender nonconforming person

Non-binary person

Does not physically look like the gender they are trying to present as

I'm saying it's hard for some people, because like I said, society is obsessed with these two

Boxes of gender

So, I think that it's

I know this is corny, but it's very brave

For a lot of trans people to socially transition

Especially people who choose to never go on hormones or who can't access hormones

Or pay hormones, pay for hormones

Or be on hormones right now, because their family won't accept them

But they are still choosing to socially transition

I am saying that it's a very brave thing, because this is something that I was not very

I was not able to do

Alright? I was terrified

Of telling people my name and telling people my pronouns

And it was very hard for me and I actually waited

Until after therapy and after I started hormones

To then finally tell people

That I am trans or I go by he pronouns

Because I thought, for me, it was a lot easier for them

To see me as male if I looked male

Which is very problematic, but that's just the only thing that I could do

Now I have friends who

100% before they started hormones

Told people, call me this name, call me this pronoun

And they were very adamant about that, and they would correct people when they would say things wrong

Whereas on my side, I would never correct anyone, because I was terrified

Of correcting anyone

I didn't know that we could correct people back then, that was a very long time ago

So, social transition takes

Guts, so, if somebody comes up to you and

Tells you, hey I'm trans, the person in your life, not some random person on the street, um

They come out to you, and they're letting you know

It is very, very important to respect them

And to

Don't go and, aww you're so brave, don't say that

But it's very

It's very important to be respectful of the person's name and then the person's pronouns

Now, I've talked about this in this series as well

How important names and pronouns are

Especially when somebody is socially transitioning

So, obviously take a look at those videos, I'll put the links in the description below

But I think that this concept is super, super important for people who

Are not able to either go on hormones, can't afford it, their family won't accept them

Or for people who never want to go on hormones

You're still transitioning

Just because an individual does not want to medically transition

Does not mean that they are not trans

Their transness, and their trans identity, and their transition

Is as valid as somebody else who medically transitioned

I went a little bit into this

Into the medical transition video that I posted previously

Um, so take a look at that if you want me to kind of repeat myself here

I feel like once we acknowledge that

Trans people aren't

The same

We don't all have the same life story, weren't all

Traumatized as children, or had good childhoods

We don't all transition the same way, we don't all want hormones

I think it is super, super important that we

Respect the trans people in our lives

And if you are at work

And you have a trans person that has come out at work

And maybe you don't know them that well, but you hear other people kind of, like, talking

Smack, and

Saying some very rude things about this person, and

And maybe you watched this video, and maybe now you know a little more about trans people, and

It's a good idea to either stand up for that person, or

Be, just be an ally for them

But I think it's super important if you're at work, and

You have somebody, a coworker, who just came out as trans

It is, I know that it can be very hard at first to respect someone's pronouns or respect someone's name

Especially if they don't look like the gender

That you're associating those pronouns with

Like, you're saying he, and in your mind

He means male pronouns

Problematic, but that's another story

So, you're like, oh, male, this person has to be male, they have to look male

But your image of what looks male isn't what the image of what this person might look like

And you kind of have to

Rethink and reevaluate

The way that you see people and the way that you see society

And honestly, like

The biggest thing here is about respect

Social transition is so important for so many people

In the commu- in the community, and

Um, some people are too scared to do it

Other people are doing it, and they were thriving, and they are still thriving doing it

And those are the people who

Are absolutely amazing

And deserve to

[Sigh] I wanna give you a gold star, because you're awesome

For doing that, it's just, it's hard, I can't even

I can't, not like I can't even imagine, like obviously I can

But

Um, it is, it is something that is very

Hard to do, especially

With societies rigid rules

Also, I'd like to point out that some people might not consider their transition a social transition, they might just say that they're transitioning

Um, I'm just giving a name to it, because a lot of people talk about social transition

Especially before they're able to go on hormones

Okay, so this is like a

It's kind of a like, uh, if you're gonna put a timeline on transition for some people

Socially transitioning is usually the first step

Because you're admitting to yourself

How you felt your whole life

And then you're telling other people, and then you're telling other people to

Respect who you are and to respect your pronouns

And in my opinion, that's what socially transitioning is

Anyways, I hope that this video helped a little bit, if you have any questions, please put them in the comments below, I will put links to everything that I talked about in this video

In the description, and I will see you for the next episode

Have a great day, bye

Trans 101: Ep 9 - Social Transition [CC] - Duration: 7:59.

[intro music]

Hi, and welcome to another episode of the trans 101 series

Today we are going to be talking about

Social transition

'India has freedom, I don't like where there is no freedom,' says Dalai Lama - Duration: 1:50.

Beijing's bete noire, the Dalai Lama, said without naming China, that places "where there

is no freedom, I don't like", reported ANI.

The Tibetans' spiritual leader who's exiled in India has so far not commented on the Doklam

standoff, but did so on Wednesday, when he said he considers it "not very serious", reported

PTI.

"It's (Doklam standoff) not very serious, India and China have to live side by side,"

said the Buddhist leader, who's based in Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh.

He further said that two big nations "have to live side by side" and must get along.

"Eventually, 'Hindi-Chini- Bhai Bhai' is the only way; the two big nations, you have to

live side by side," he said.

The Dalai Lama dwelled on the concept of freedom as well, saying his adopted home, India, has

it.

"There is freedom in this country, I can do more and have more opportunity to share.

Where there is no freedom, I don't like," he said, without naming China, which is not

a democracy.

As for democracy itself, he said the Tibetan community in India practices the concept.

"Our small Tibetan community fully practices democracy and I am an admirer of democracy,"

he said.

He hoped that "eventually" China, too, would become a democratic country.

"Eventually, as per the wishes of the Chinese people, the Communist Party of China may follow

our practice," he said, referring to the practice of democracy.

Ivan Perisic to Manchester United: Club can't delay if they want deal - Italian reporter - Duration: 2:34.

Ivan Perisic to Manchester United: Club can't delay if they want deal - Italian reporter

At least that's the verdict of Rai Sport journalist Marco Civoli, who spoke out in an interview with Tutto Mercato Web Radio.

Starsport understands Jose Mourinho wants Perisic at Old Trafford next season and that talks have been ongoing all summer. Negotiations are yet to have a positive outcome for United though with Inter demanding big money to let him leave.

Civoli has now warned that the Serie A giants are unlikely to sanction a deal for Perisic if it's left until the end of the transfer window. Manchester United transfer target Ivan Perisic joined Inter Milan from Wolfsburg in 2015.

He told Tutto Mercato Web Radio: [Inter boss, Luciano] Spalletti seems to be the real purchase of the Nerazzurri, given their results in pre-season. This summer, with people in charge, the situation is completely different.

It is necessary to analyse the Perisic question, because such a player can not be sold on 31 August.

It was embarrassing in some ways last season [when Inter finished 7th in Serie A] because he has extraordinary quality with a particular character. If he is to move, Spalletti will find a suitable replacement..

Manchester United have been in talks with Inter Milan over Ivan Perisic all summer.

With no agreement in place for Perisic, United were linked with a move for Gareth Bale. And Mourinho suggested he would bid for the Real Madrid ace if he wasn't involved in last night's UEFA Super Cup clash.

Bale started the match in Skopje though and Mourinho conceded afterwards that his hopes of signing the Welshman were over.

The Morality of Makeup - Duration: 13:49.

Hey there modern vegans and vegan curious, it's Margaret and welcome back to ModVegan.

Today on ModVegan I want to talk with you about the morality of makeup.

Believe it or not, this subject is one of the most commonly discussed topics on my channel

for some reason. At least in the comment section. And so it's something I'd like

to talk with you guys about, but first, if you enjoyed this video please be sure

and give it a thumbs up and subscribe so you don't miss another great video like

this one.

Believe it or not one of the most commonly discussed topics on this

channel (certainly in the comment section) is my appearance. I find it very

interesting. You know, there's always the people commenting on the actual content

of my channel but those people who feel like they want to talk about my

appearance - and I think that's completely natural for several reasons.

First of all, YouTube is a visual medium. We obviously see each other, so it makes

sense that people will talk about the way that you look. It's just a matter of

fact. It's something you have to get used to if you're going to be out in social

media, especially in a visual medium, so I totally get that. The other reason is

that human beings are naturally interested in each other's appearance. We

know that. When they show pictures of faces to infants, they look longer at

faces that they think are attractive, they spend less time on faces that they

don't think are attractive. That's just kind of the way things are. If you're a

human being, you are wired genetically through your DNA to be looking at those

more attractive faces longer, to be interested in how people look, to be

trying to decide if you think people are attractive or not. That's just part of

who we are as human beings. And it's completely natural. Today I decided to do

this video with no makeup on and by "no makeup o"n I mean absolutely no makeup on.

I'm not wearing concealer, I'm not wearing sunscreen, I'm not wearing

foundation, I'm not wearing lipstick, eye makeup, etc. And as evidence of this I

will be taking one of my lovely bright white pillows that I also get lots of

comments on, and I will [rubs face on pillow] so you can see, no makeup here [does it again] mmm nothing. I

hope that satisfied you all. No makeup at all. And my hair's better! So, the reason

that I did that is I want to show you guys I'm not wearing makeup today, not

because I think it matters, but because it's something

people ask about all the time. So if anyone ever wants to see me without

makeup you will have this videos to look at. I do a lot of my snapchat videos

obviously without makeup on and every day. It's one of those things - I wear makeup

some days, some days I don't wear makeup. It just depends. I usually wear makeup when I

to do my videos, though because I love wearing makeup. I find it a lot of fun.

For me, makeup is a form of self-expression. It says a lot about who

I am as a person. The fact that I do wear that bright colorful makeup that some of

you can't stand - it's part of my personality. I am bright. I am colorful. I

am someone who is bold. I don't mind being unnatural. Like, those are all

things that are very much me and if you look at my videos, and you look at the

way I present myself, with the makeup that I wear

- even with my hairdo - I do things that are a little bit more bold and different.

Because that's who I am. And it's also part of what I'm sending - the message

that I send through this channel. I'm a modern vegan, I am ModVegan, and part of

who I am is kind of breaking that belief that we need to be natural all

the time. I am more about being modern, I am more about the future. I don't believe

that I need to be natural. I don't think you need to be natural. And I'm really

not interested in things that are natural that much. I mean, I eat fruits

and vegetables because they're healthy, but other than that, I live a very

unnatural life. It's something that you'll get a lot of on this channel if

you watch me. It's just not my thing. I am NOT natural, I don't care about being

natural, and you'll notice even today - so I'm not wearing makeup or any kind of

skin care etc., at all - but of course like, you know, I've done my eyebrows in the

past week, I shave I do all those kinds of things. Like, I'm wearing a bra right

now - those are all things that are not natural. And I think that's important.

I think to to say - and you know I've got my hair combed - any of those things - I've

got my haircut - like, unless you are not taking baths with soap, living in the

woods, never combing your hair, never shaving - all that kind of stuff - then you

can't really tell other people that they're not natural enough. It's

ridiculous. So our idea of what is natural - I think that's something that we

need to to think about. Because even if you don't wear makeup, that doesn't

necessarily mean you are natural. You know, if you take Accutane for your

acne or whatever then you probably aren't natural, either. Like - all those

kinds of things. And I don't think that's a problem. For me, that is not a moral

problem. I don't see it as an "immoral act" to change your appearance, to change the

way that you present yourself to the world. And I think that's really

important. I think that it's important to allow people to be themselves, and to

express themselves in ways that may not seem the way that they were born. Like I -

just, to me that's super important. And so, that's something to keep in mind. To me,

what is natural? And that's something else that I would encourage you - first of

all, so "natural" : that is the one state that I think everyone - a lot of people -

look at me, and they'll tell me like "you'd be so much prettier if you didn't

wear makeup," so that's interesting. I'm going to get all sorts of comments today.

I'll probably get comments from people who say "well, I can see why you wear

makeup, because you look horrible without it." I'm going to get the comments from

people who say "you should never wear makeup, because you look great without it"

(you know, like "you go, girl" comments). You know, and then I'll get the ones

- hopefully a few people that like me, my colorful self, because that's who I am,

and that's who I like to be. So those are all the different kind of comments that

I'm going to be getting today. But I I just I think it's interesting. I also

think it's a little unfair. The one for the "natural" comment - I would say, it's

not really fair, you know - I don't have - I mean I've got acne, you can see I've

got um I've got some pimples on my face today, I have broken blood vessels, I have

some sun damage, of course, because I'm 35 years old and I've spent plenty of

time in the Sun - you know. I've got those little fine lines, all that kind of stuff

that people get. I think I've got, you know, all the skin imperfections that

someone my age will have. I've got all that. But I'm really lucky, you know? I

was born with two eyes and a nose and a mouth, and that is not true of everyone.

I am lucky that I look the way I do without makeup on. So even - this is

privileged. Like, is this "natural?" Or is this the fact that genetic selection,

DNA, all that stuff, seemed to align so that I got a

decent looking face. I think that's something that we need to keep in mind

when we tell people that they should "look natural." You know, I haven't been in

a car accident, I don't have any other kind of problems, and so I think you have

to think about that before you start judging people for not being "natural."

Would you judge them if they had a physical imperfection that they were

covering up? And that's where we get to the "no makeup look." And this is the look

that most men prefer. They like makeup that looks like you're not wearing

makeup. And I think if you do run into men on the street, that's the kind of

makeup that they prefer. They would prefer to think that that's you "looking

natural." And some of them do. Some of them would think, like, if they see someone

look - wearing, you know, the natural type makeup - that they're seeing someone

without makeup. Which, of course, is not true. I would challenge everyone - but

especially any straight male in this audience - to watch one of those videos

about how natural makeup is done, and women too: if you want to know how people

"look natural," watch one of those videos from a great makeup expert here on

YouTube, and you can see the amount of effort that it takes to look like you're

not wearing makeup. It takes a lot of effort. You still wear concealer, you

still wear some kind of foundation or tinted moisturizer, you're still doing

maybe some eye lining, you're wearing some mascara, you're putting on lipstick,

but you're wearing a neutral tone. That's what men really want: they want the

highlighter that's on, but doesn't look like highlighter. You notice I wear a

highlighter that's very bright. Obviously that would not be acceptable

for a no makeup look. You would need it to look like you weren't wearing

anything at all, that is the "no makeup look." So I am completely fine with the no

makeup look. To me, it's just a fashion choice. If you want to look like you're

not - especially, if you want to go to the trouble of putting on makeup just so you can look

like you're not wearing makeup - so you can have like the "flawless look" - more

power to you. I totally have no - like that's what most women do, and

that's great. I choose to go for the third option, which is the "makeup-makeup"

look, and that is because I think that if you're going to go to the trouble of

putting something on your face, I'm going to choose something with color. I wear

bright lipsticks most of the time, because if I'm going to put something on

my mouth that is not my lips, I'd rather it be a color that's interesting.

I'm not just going to wear what looks like, you know, no...you know, if I'm

going to put something on, I want it to be fun. Same with the eyes. You

can see I kind of have some natural shadowing in my eyes, and so, why would

I just go to the effort of making it look, you know...trying to make even more

flawless than what I have already. Why would I do that when I can just use

glitter? Like, if I want to add glitter to my look and add something fun - if I'm

going to wear something, I want it to be fun. And that's my philosophy of makeup.

My philosophy is: go ahead and do something fun with your life. You have

one life to live. I feel happiest when I'm wearing makeup.

I know lots of you don't, but I enjoy it a lot.

And that's why I do my makeup the way that I do. I think it's interesting to

see people's comments on this - and I've heard about it ever since I was a little

girl. Because, you know, growing up I always heard people saying that they

they didn't like seeing people who were wearing too much makeup, and I noticed...like,

I've talked about my grandfather before on this channel, but my grandfather would

always say that he didn't like it when women wore "too much makeup" and

when I pointed out that a lot of the women that he didn't think wore makeup wear

makeup he was like, "oh, really?" You know, like it's just because

it is a different color. It's not a more bright color - that doesn't mean that it's

not makeup. And I think a lot of guys just never realize that. They don't

realize that a color is...just because the color is less natural

doesn't mean you're wearing more of it. I find that very interesting. And obviously,

for me, I have brown eyelashes that are white on the ends, so

mascara is obviously going to completely change my face. You guys see me when

I'm wearing mascara - it adds a whole lot. If I wear brown, then maybe it's a

slightly less impactful look, but black gives more fun because it's brighter. So

why would I choose one mascara over the other unless I just want to look like

I'm not wearing makeup? Which, again, if we're getting into the morality of it, I

don't see any reason why a "no makeup look" is inherently any different from

wearing makeup. Makeup - I think it's just completely

a fashion choice. And I would challenge you, as a viewer, to think about that. Any

woman that's putting on makeup in the morning of any kind is changing her

appearance - or man, I don't want to be leaving anybody out here - anyone who puts

anything on their face in the morning is changing their appearance. So, at that

point, what does it matter whether they do it to make themselves look like

they're wearing makeup, or to look like they're not wearing makeup? I think it's

a personal choice, and I'm going to stick with that. I think it's a personal choice,

and we should judge people by the content of their character, not by the

color of their makeup. That's just me, though. But I am curious what you think.

And I know we all have aesthetic preferences, just in the same way that

I like to wear bright colorful clothing, and some people like to wear all white

or all black, or neutrals. I always wear very bright colors, and it's because I

enjoy them. I feel like if I'm going to be unnatural and wear clothing, I might

as well wear clothing that is in a bright color. I might as well do what

is fun for me. And I find that very freeing. I think a lot of people spend

most of their lives trying to conform - and there's nothing wrong with that. If

that's the way you want to be, then go for it. But I don't think it should be

just because you're worried about the voices in your head telling you what

other people are thinking, or the voices in your comment section telling you what

people are thinking. Because it really doesn't matter. You have one life to live.

You get to experience this world, and hopefully do a little bit of good while

you're at it. And I say, that when it comes to whether you put on makeup or

not, it's completely up to you. I probably won't be doing many videos more

without makeup, because I like makeup. And you - if you really want to see me without

makeup you can watch me on snapchat, but generally speaking, I will be

wearing makeup on this channel, because it's part of who I am, it's part of what I

present to the world, and I enjoy that. And that is a big part of who I am and

it makes me happy. But I always find your comments amusing, and with people who

troll and tell me that I "look like a trash can" because I'm wearing makeup, or

I "need a tan" like, I just find it so funny. I mean most of these people don't

even use their real faces in their profile pictures. And it's just - it kind of

gives me a laugh. And I probably shouldn't laugh, but I kind of can't help it.

Because it's just ridiculous. And I'm saying this, and making this

video, not to respond to those people, but because I just want to tell the rest of

you to be yourself, to enjoy your life to celebrate who you are and focus on

helping other people, making the world a better place, and maybe not so much on

worrying what other people think, or trying to tell other people how they should

look. That's my perspective, but I'd love to hear yours. Let me know in that

comment section down below, give this video a thumbs up if you

enjoyed it, and subscribe so you don't miss another great video. And I will see

you next time. Take care, bye!

Jim Rohn: Take control of your time to get what you want - Duration: 13:01.

[Music]

now here's the big one on time

management when you work work when you

play play don't mix the two don't work

at play I used to take my family to the

beach and I would bring my briefcase I

[Music]

learned not to do that or at the beach

I'm saying I should be at the office I

should be at the office now my family's

upset because I'm at the beach and I'm

thinking office office office now when

I'm at the office I'm thinking what I

kind of get my family to the beach the

beach the beach so things are not going

to elevate office cuz I'm thinking beach

and things are not going to well of the

beach to them thinking office here's

what I learned to do at the beach be at

the beach at the office be at the office

when you work work when you play play

don't mix the two don't work at play now

here's one of the most important ones

don't play at work work is too serious

you don't want the reputation of being

the office joker it's not a good yes

there's time for some pleasant stories

yes there's time for a little humor yes

best if it's a happy office of course

but I'm telling you you got to be

serious about work because your parting

with a piece of your life for the work

you do your work costs you a piece of

your life here's what it's called

serious business not grim not unhappy

but serious

gee don't play at work the only person I

don't think we use anymore horse around

at the office play around play jokes

play tricks no place not at the work

place at the beach in at the bar yet

somewhere else not work you've got to

treat work with all due conservative

passion because it's leading you to your

future here's another key phrase all

work is good you may not like your job

but if it's the stepping stones to get

you to where you want to go you got to

appreciate your job you don't have to

have a passion for your job here's the

ultimate passion a passion for

incredible success in every department

of my life that's the passion

but don't look down down on some menial

job you have to do to finally get you to

where you want to go no job is menial

meaning no job is not no every job is

noble training life for pay making the

contribution to society

next analyze how you are and if you have

some weaknesses if you can't doesn't

seem like you can change here's the key

get it covered I used to keep promising

myself I'd keep the book to keep the

books keep the book finally I gave that

up and back then it only took me an

extra 50 60 bucks a month for some

accountant to keep the books as I know

I'm going to save the fifty bucks you

can't believe what I started losing and

productivity because I tried to save the

50 bucks so the key is a lot of time you

can stay like you are but just make sure

you get it covered next

beware of the telephone and all other

systems of communication especially the

telephone at home and systems of

communication at home and here's one of

the best lines I've got for you for the

weekend

let all communication systems serve you

but don't let them intrude when it comes

time to have dinner with your family you

shut off all systems unless the ones

that can take messages silently

don't let the phone ring don't let

anybody in truth come through the front

door nor the back door nor through the

telephone or any other device so you

can't reach John and his family when

he's happened dinner the President of

the United States couldn't get through

if you develop that kind of a reputation

father mother we have dinner when we're

visiting and have this time with our

family nothing in truth so don't let

these clever little devices keep

intruding you've got to have a place

that sank or sank that stick intangible

you don't let anything in for that

period of time is that good advice

here's the next one read all the books

you know I've only got a few notes here

on time management but if you've got

some particular challenges you run a big

organization the big corporation you've

got some challenges there's plenty of

books now here's what's next just be

more alert to the things that might be

stealing your time

[Music]

here's why time is like capital you

can't let someone steal your feed corn

you can't let someone steal your capital

and you can't let from once filled your

time

you must designate your time and some of

the time that you designate you must not

let anyone steal casual time you might

let someone intrude and steal a little

bit and take a little bit but not

serious time

[Music]

next one of the great time management

savers is to learn to ask questions

upfront

sometimes you talk to somebody for an

hour then you ask questions and find out

if you would have asked those questions

up front you could have saved yourself

an hour asking questions up front

helps you to get to the problem now but

if you just launch into some discourse

you might waste 30 minutes at least an

hour when here's what you should have

been talking after you finished an hour

you say John what's really the problem

is that well it's something personal

okay that's what you should have been

talking about this whole hour next learn

to think on paper and we're going to

take a break

some ways to think on paper one we've

covered one solving problems take it out

of your head put it on paper another one

is setting goals making these lists

we've already started here's another

good way to think on paper it's a

projects book each person you're working

with and each project you're working on

get a loose-leaf binder and a tab and

some pieces of paper behind the tab and

do a little continual summary of how

it's going between you and that person

and between you and that project I call

it a project book it is so useful to me

but what's going on between you and this

person

when you last got together what did you

talk about and you got a few notes ER

here's what we talked about the last

time we got together now when you get

together again you can review that so

you'll know better what to talk about

when the president gets ready to travel

and he's going to meet some important

people guess what they bringing all

these briefing books right the last time

you were with Khrushchev Kennedy is

informed here's what he said here's what

you said Kennedy said oh that's valuable

I need to remember that if a person is

important it's worth a little running

account you might even have a project

book for your children here's what's

happening between me and my child we've

talked about this when we've talked

about this and we talked about this next

add a timer he can track of all of your

appointments you know mine is all filled

with you know when to catch an airplane

and when to do a seminar when to sit

down and have a conference all the rest

next is a game plan you know if you've

got a house and the you know insurance

is going to come due and some other

things are going to come do you just put

it on a spreadsheet make sure it's taken

care of

key phrase take things out of your head

and put them on paper and the key is to

just experiment with different ways that

helps you to do that

now here's the last time thinking on

paper and that's to keep a journal one

of the things I'm known for around the

world have been now for 39 40 years is

keeping the journal now my journal is

not a you know it's not necessarily a

it's not like a diary it might be part

diary

you know I'm flying over Ireland and

write down a few little things that

impressed me today I met this person

what an extraordinary event today

descent I conducted this seminar in Rome

thousand people stood up and sign for me

I've got a little bit of a diary in

there but here's what primarily our

general is for collecting good ideas a

journalist to collect good ideas on your

help good ideas for your business good

ideas for your future good ideas for

time management device to take notes on

pieces of paper and torn off corners and

backs of old envelopes and restaurant

placemats and I threw all this stuff in

the drawer it did not serve me well I

finally learn to get a bound copy right

and just keep a journal if I was here I

had my journal I'd be taking notes right

these two days in my journal now if

you're caught without your journal you

just take the notes when you get back

home you put those notes in your journal

throw the paper away because we don't

usually go through paper to review but

see my journals now make up a

significant part of my own library my

journals all reserved privately for my

children and my grandchildren

can you imagine what I've collected over

the years

unbelievable there are three treasures

to leave behind I think you've already

got those notes right here they are

number one your pictures

don't leave the event unrecorded takes

only a fraction of the scent of a second

to say here's who I was with when I

travel the world right we take all these

pictures and here's one of the gifts

people send me the pictures they took of

me and then it's part of the treasures I

have on the farm

a picture's worth a thousand words to

describe the scene the emotion

what happened say wow this is an

extraordinary day for me when I met

these people here's what they told me

happened to them when they went to my

seminar ten years ago Wow the drama

comes back if you've taken the pictures

it's one of the treasures to leave

behind when you go remember the old

photographs that we have now you know

hundred years ago 7080 years ago just a

Lovers in Bloom | 木槿花开了 | 무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다 - Ep.48 [SUB : ENG,CHN,IND / 2017.08.09] - Duration: 32:25.

Oh? Inspector Cha.

We were waiting for you.

Me?

I had a feeling you'd come here

although it would've been better if you hadn't.

What do you mean?

Did she drink a lot?

A bit.

Hi, Taejin.

You seemed rather drunk,

so I called Taejin.

You should get her home.

Huijin.

Huijin, you really don't know.

Don't know what?

Inspector Cha has feelings for someone else.

What?

Is that true?

Yes.

That's precisely what I heard.

Officer Jang, let's go.

I'll take you home.

You too, Officer Moo.

Yes, sir.

- Goodbye. / - Bye.

How can that be?

Officer Jang, are you okay?

I'll drive you home, so come with us.

No. I live right around the corner.

See you tomorrow.

(Episode 48)

Mom, where did the bicycle come from?

Did you buy it?

No.

Didn't you have it sent here?

No.

When did it come?

This afternoon.

Oh, no. What do we do?

Uri rode it around the neighborhood already.

How could you let her ride it

without checking with me first?

This is maddening.

B-But I thought you'd ordered it.

Then who...

Oh, my.

How did anyone know Uri wanted a bike?

Hey, isn't it that guy who sent you those gifts?

No.

Sure it is.

That's why you're up in arms and fuming.

It's not him.

What the...

Then what is this?

There's someone other than the gift guy?

Let's take Uri biking.

Inspector Cha?

But he would've told me.

He's not reckless like Mr. Jin.

Then was it Mr. Jin?

No. No, it can't be. No, no.

It should've been delivered,

so why no response?

Does she not know it's from me?

She would've called if she knew.

How odd.

Hey, what's going on?

Is it true what Eunju said?

Who do you have feelings for?

It's nothing.

You told her you fancied someone else.

Officer Jang shouldn't have blabbered.

Then what is it?

Did Eunju ask you out?

So you lied to get her off your back?

Huijin.

That's what happened.

So Eunju's definitely interested in you.

I'm tired.

Come on. Give me the details.

What happened? Huh?

- Hey, hey. So... / - Out, out.

Why don't you like Eunju?

Oh, my goodness.

I got Officer Jang home safe and sound.

Why are you telling me that?

I drove another woman home, so you may be sulking.

She's a colleague, not another woman.

So you know.

Officer Jang's a colleague, not a woman.

You're quite smart.

Why? Why are you laughing?

You seem to share my feelings.

Pardon?

You're jealous because of Officer Jang.

I have a question.

What is it?

Yesterday, did you...

How are you feeling?

I'm fine.

Um. I'll get ready for patrol.

Don't worry.

We're at work.

I'll keep work separate from my feelings.

I'm not worried.

You're a smart person.

That's not to say I'm giving up.

Did I slip up in any way last night?

You don't remember?

I remember Inspector Cha arriving,

but I blacked out after that.

You didn't slip up,

so don't worry.

Are you sure?

What a relief.

Did you take me home last night?

No. Inspector Cha did.

Really?

Oh, no.

Where are you going today?

It's money I don't have, not places to go.

And I work at a fried chicken restaurant.

Don't worry.

It's uncomfortable staying here, right?

Not at all. I'm imposing on you two.

I'm sorry. Really.

Please, stop saying you're sorry!

Why are you always sorry?

Mr. Moo is here.

Hello.

I must've come too early.

No.

We were just talking.

I'm off.

Have a good day.

Ignoring your mom?

How rude is that?

I'm not the only one being rude and ignoring people.

I don't think Bora's here.

I wonder if she's sick.

We'll be doing work for the kebab place

at the intersection.

They want a new name while they're at it,

so brainstorm some ideas.

From a shopping complex

to a kebab joint overnight...

We can't afford to be picky.

Hurry up

or you'll be late to cram school.

I'm eating.

I can't go at all if I rush

and choke on a chicken bone.

Hey... Did she come by again?

She?

The lady you helped at the mall.

Oh...

No. Why?

No, it's nothing.

Hey. Our son's here.

Hi.

Dad, is grandpa really getting married?

Oh...

Who told you?

The supermarket lady asked me if he was marrying.

This is maddening.

Is it true, mom?

I don't know.

Stay out of the adults' affairs

and go study instead.

He'll find out anyway,

so let's just tell him the truth.

So it's true.

Wowee.

So he's marrying Ms. Oh, the caregiver?

Um... I think so.

What's with mom?

Why else? Because she's petty.

Eat and scram.

She might take it out on you.

Ms. Oh, what are you doing?

Oh, you're back.

I came to make Ms. Noh lunch

and saw rotting produce in the fridge

and grime in the dish rack tray.

So I was cleaning all that when I saw

how disorganized the dishes were.

Ms. Oh!

You startled me.

Who asked you to worry about our kitchen?

I just wanted to help out

since you're busy.

You haven't married our dad yet,

so I think you're crossing the line.

Huijin.

But it's not right, especially since people talk.

And I don't like people

going through my kitchen.

I'm sorry. I should've thought it through.

I'll be careful, Huijin.

I'll get going.

There's cold cucumber soup in the fridge,

so have it with dinner.

I also sauteed the aged kimchi in perilla oil,

so try that too.

Why are you so rushed?

Sit.

Why? Is there anything you want to tell me?

Is something wrong?

Pardon? No. Nothing's wrong.

What did Huijin say?

She didn't say anything.

I wish we had the money to get you your own house.

Oh, no.

That has never even occurred to me.

But I'll be good to you.

Ms. Noh.

That being the case,

pack up and move in here

instead of wandering around.

Oh, no.

Like Huijin said, we're not even married yet.

Do as I say.

You can stay in my room like you used to.

But I don't t think that's appropriate.

Just do as I say.

Um, Ms. Noh...

And stop calling me that.

How can you call me 'Ms. Noh'?

Call me 'Mother.'

That way, the kids will show you the proper respect.

Okay.

Go ahead.

Mother.

That makes me feel 10 years younger.

Sir, it's time for our patrol.

Okay. We're going on foot patrol.

Our faces will fry under the strong sun.

Stop being lazy.

How can I if I'm going with you?

Let's go somewhere after work.

Where?

To get a bike for Uri.

I was just going to order it online,

but I didn't know what to pick for a little girl.

You'll know what Uri will like.

No. That's okay.

Uri has a bike.

Please, don't worry about it.

And I can't stay out today.

Why not? Do you have an engagement?

It's a family thing.

- Give it back. / - Just a sec.

Please give it back.

No. This doesn't count.

- Do it over. / - What's going on?

Assistant Inspector Park lost in ladders

and owes me lunch,

but now he says it doesn't count.

Wagering lunch is a serious business.

- Park, give it to me. / - Give it back.

- Wait, wait. Time out. / - Give it back.

Time out. Time out.

Let's redo it with the three of them.

That's not fair.

They just showed up.

We can't let this slide.

- Take it from him. / - Yes, sir.

We must redo it since everyone's here.

Wait. Stop.

A call. I got a call.

Geez, squirt.

Hello? Yes.

What?

Okay. I'll be right there.

Sir, I have to go.

Go on.

It's so annoying.

Isn't Assistant Inspector Lee a weasel?

He's a real scrooge.

I've never seen him

bring his wallet on patrol.

I wasn't going to say

because he told me not to,

but his eldest child's very ill.

Has the leukemia returned?

The kid seemed okay

after the bone marrow transplant 8 or 9 years ago,

but he must've relapsed recently.

Is that why he was late yesterday?

Yes.

Oh, no. I had no idea.

He never mentioned it,

so how could we know?

Anyway, the hospital bills are exorbitant,

so try not to give Assistant Park a hard time.

But don't make it too obvious either

because he'll feel uncomfortable.

- Yes, sir. / - Okay.

You're up?

Ms. Heo left earlier to go to the mall.

Okay.

Your tiny face has gotten

even smaller.

Sit.

It's vegetable porridge.

Force yourself to eat even if you're not hungry.

It's delicious.

My goodness. You're too tenderhearted.

How will you manage in this cruel world?

Life throws many challenges at you.

I don't know much,

but there's a good reason

when your loved ones disapprove.

It's best to marry with the blessings

of parents from both families.

My goodness.

Who's making your pretty eyes shed tears?

What kind of a bad boy is he?

Snatch him up if you love him that much.

Should I really try that?

Nothing's impossible in today's world.

Dump him, snatch him up,

get drunk and stir trouble...

Just do something

so you have no regrets later.

Right?

Of course.

When you get to my age,

you can't do it.

It's just ugly if you do.

You'll need strength to get him.

Come on. Eat away.

Okay.

What do you mean

she sold the commercial property?

Is that really true?

Yes, sir.

When?

Around 2 weeks ago.

Why'd you wait until now to tell me?

I'm sorry. I found out yesterday.

Dad, dad, dad, dad.

How about chicken ginseng stew?

I found a really great place.

Ms. Heo hasn't been doing well,

and Bora's not well either,

so why don't you and I have dinner out?

So she sold the commercial property

without telling me?

How dare she?

Chairman Jin!

Dad!

I'm fine. I'm fine.

Have Mr. Jeong pull up the car.

Hurry!

Mr. Jeong, bring the car around right away.

Recipient unavailable. Connecting to voicemail...

Mr. Jin, this is Officer Moo.

I'll wait for you at the same cafe.

You're not leaving?

You have a family thing.

I'm leaving.

Easy does it.

Dad, wait, wait.

Come.

You gave me an awful fright.

Don't you dare say anything to your mom.

You keep your mouth shut too.

Yes, sir.

Don't fuss over whether or not

she sold the commercial property.

Why fuss?

You gave it to her.

And stop eating things like oxtail soup.

You never work out but eat oily foods,

so no wonder

you have hypertension.

You punk.

You also played a part in my high blood pressure.

Yes, I'm a bad son.

You're right.

There's no telling when my time will come.

Dad!

You must live well

if I'm to have something to show for my life.

And watch over that poor Bora.

Geez. Stop being a drama queen.

You're still a spring chicken.

Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

Why? Were you diagnosed with a terminal illness

while I wasn't around?

Get out. I'm tired.

You're back.

To what do we owe this surprise visit?

Dohyeon left his phone behind.

You must've gone shopping.

I had some things to get.

Dad's not feeling well.

What's wrong?

You know he has hypertension.

Something must have stressed him out

as the back of his neck was stiff,

so take care of him.

Okay.

How are you feeling?

You'll leave for my sake?

You knew I'd throw a fit once I found out

you sold the commercial property,

so you wanted to get away

until I simmered down.

How dare you sell what I gave you

without asking me first?

How dare I?

Who'd you give the money to?

Did you give it to your kids?

Think what you will.

What?

That's the conclusion you jumped to,

so what's the point in my explaining?

Why are you running away?

Why would I run away?

What is there to fear?

I was a fool.

I knew you were like this.

Lie down instead of getting yourself worked up.

You'll really collapse at this rate.

I'll bring your medication.

What is it that you can't just say it?

I think I yammered unnecessarily.

I shouldn't have said

I was staying at someone else's office.

It must've nagged at Mother.

She told me to just move in now.

You don't want that?

Do you want me to do that?

I wouldn't worry as much.

I don't want to.

I get how you feel,

and I'm grateful for Mother's offer.

But I don't want to move in with you

just because I have nowhere else to go.

Chullae.

I'd feel ashamed facing your family,

and Huijin doesn't care much for me as is.

It'd make me feel so pathetic.

Why are you crying like a little kid?

Okay. I get what you mean.

Do what's comfortable for you.

Why aren't you eating?

I just can't stomach these noodles.

What will my mom do

if they kick us out?

We can't find a room for $3,000.

And I can't have her stay at the sauna again.

Won't she be moving in with Mr. Cha?

But I can't ask him to take her in right away.

What about my mom's pride?

This is driving me mad.

I'm sleeping at the sauna tonight.

I'm achy all over,

so a hot soak will do me good.

Yes.

Don't worry about me and sleep tight.

Okay. See you tomorrow, son.

Hello?

Hi. Where are you?

With my son of course.

Are you outside?

I thought I heard cars.

I stepped out to get something at the store.

Should I come see you again?

Oh, no.

I can see you tomorrow.

Okay.

I called to see how you were feeling.

Don't worry and sleep tight.

You exercised restraint.

I thought you'd cause a scene.

I had no choice as dad had entreated me.

Be nice to Ms. Heo

for Chairman Jin's sake.

He needs a peace of mind to get better.

He'll have you run the hotel.

If I were you, I'd fake a smile.

Mind your countenance.

You can't do business if you get emotional.

You'll embark on a major venture,

so you must be vigilant.

Don't you have work?

I'm off.

Oh.

You left this at Chairman Jin's office.

How's Bora?

I don't know.

She's being testy,

not even making eye contact.

She must be at her cooking studio.

Jin Bora, get up.

Jin Bora!

Hey, friend.

Should we go have farewell drinks?

Pull yourself together.

Juyeong doesn't seem to know yet

that my brother is your client from hell.

If he knew, he wouldn't even greet me.

Isn't that right?

You jerk.

A friend wouldn't be like this.

So you have your say and that's it?

You should listen to what I have to say too.

Be coherent if you've something to say

instead of rambling.

You're something else, Moo Suhyeok.

How can you be so cold?

Fine. Good for you.

You have your wits about you.

Get up.

Let go. Just leave me alone.

Jin Bora!

Go away!

You wanted to go.

So go.

Go away!

I'm having another drink.

You don't have to be my friend,

you jerk.

Let go! Let go of me.

What is this squirt thinking?

Mr. Jin, this is Officer Moo.

I'll wait for you at the same cafe.

Has the landlord called?

Not yet.

The waiting is making me more nervous

and anxious.

But it's not like I can call them

and ask how much they'll raise the lease.

How bad is Suhyeok's situation?

He has to leave the office space.

Wish we had a money-growing tree.

Everyone's clamoring for money.

What about the project?

That's not going too well either.

What will he do then?

He seems to have the attitude

that he'll just start over again.

Nevertheless, he'll still need an office space

even if it's cheap.

If he does, he'll ask us for help.

He's not one to ask for help though.

But he won't take that money either.

Could this be why things aren't going well

with the girl he was seeing?

Kind of.

Bad things usually happen all at once, mom.

I hope they don't ask for a major lease hike.

You don't say.

When will we not have to worry about housing?

Come to the cafe in front of your house.

(Inspector Cha Taejin)

I don't want to lose you like this.

Don't leave me.

How much is this?

My goodness.

I'd forgotten how formidable

Heo Seonghui is.

I'll pay that off

no matter what it takes.

She's not a bad person.

Did she say something?

Who does she think she is?

Excuse me?

She's your elder.

How much was it?

What?

The bicycle.

That's not all you owe me for.

Are there relationship troubles?

Be clear-cut.

I hate this kind of ambivalence.

Ask Kevin: Romantic Relationship with No Personal Planet Aspects - Duration: 4:13.

Corinne, thank you for your question!

To answer your question, we have to begin with the Cardinal Law of Relationship Astrology:

Relationships occur between two individuals, not between two charts.

When working with relationship astrology, synastry — where you compare the aspects

between the two natal charts — is the very last part of a lengthy process.

All relationships are human relationships.

And in every relationship we need the same two things: we need to feel Safe and we need

to feel Validated (loved and appreciated).

As long as we're feeling Safe and Validated, the relationship will be amazing.

And without exception, every problem in every relationship is really about either a lack

of Safety or a lack of Validation.

We have a series of bank accounts.

We have a Safety Need Account and a Validation Need Account.

We're responsible for maintaining the minimum balance in these accounts on our own.

Other people can make us feel more safe and more validated, but we have to be able to

feel safe and validated enough on our own.

If we can't meet our own needs, no one else will ever be able to meet them for us.

Safety and Validation don't mean the same thing to everyone.

We each speak a particular language to meet our Safety and Validation Needs.

Communication problems in relationships are really about one person speaking their language

for Safety or Validation and their partner listening in a different language.

The Moon in your natal chart relates to your Safety Needs, and Venus relates to your Validation

Needs.

The element and sign of the Moon and Venus tells you the language you speak to meet these

needs.

Broadly, there are four languages.

Fire signs need to take action to meet their needs.

Earth signs need structure, boundaries, and physical comfort to meet their needs.

Air signs need social and intellectual connections to meet their needs.

Water signs need emotional and spiritual connections to meet their needs.

Even though it's always possible to meet your needs, it's not always easy.

Aspects from Saturn and the Outer Planets to the Moon or Venus can create patterns that

make it difficult to receive deposits in your Safety or Validation Need Accounts.

So, before you can compare the connections between two natal charts, you first have to

analyze each person's natal chart on its own and identify what they expect to meet

their Safety and Validation Needs and see if there are any challenges meeting those

needs.

When you do consider synastry, the only question that matters is how easily the two individuals

will meet each other's Safety and Validation Needs.

Nothing else matters in human relationships.

Aspects between the personal planets in synastry suggest the overall dynamic of the relationship.

But even when considering these aspects, it's aspects to (and between) the Moon and Venus

that matter the most.

If there aren't any tight aspects between the personal planets, consider how compatible

the Moon and Venus are between the two charts.

If the two individuals speak compatible languages, there's a good chance they'll be able

to meet each other's Safety and Validation Needs.

While it's not possible to predict how long a relationship will last, I will say that

aspects from one person's Saturn to the other person's personal planets seem to

be the glue that can hold a relationship together.

If there aren't any aspects from Saturn to the personal planets, the relationship

may not be strong enough to survive any challenges.

But human behavior always trumps astrology, and any relationship can work, no matter how

challenging the synastry is.

Growing Beyond Control into Confidence - Duration: 1:57.

Hello, I'm Tony Mayo,

The Business Owners' Executive Coach.

The business owners I work with

tend to have very clear ideas

about the outcomes they want to produce,

and even the methods they want to use to get those outcomes.

Unfortunately, this clarity and strong intention

can lead to a desire to control things

every step of the way.

Unfortunately, control is largely an illusion.

If you're doing anything significant

involving other people, resources, time, and chance,

you can't really control everything,

and the attempt to do so

discourages the very best people around you.

Because -think about it-

the most intelligent, creative, responsible people...

They don't want to be controlled; they want to contribute.

They want to participate. They want to be creative.

So what's the alternative...

if I'm going to give up this illusion of control?

The alternative I suggest is _confidence_

When you're clear about your commitments,

your skills, and your ability to respond,

you can be _confident_ that, whatever outcome there is,

you will respond appropriately.

So please, be less attached to the methods

and how things are done,

and more clear about the outcome you desire,

and the reasons for it.

Be confident that you'll be able to have the conversations,

take the actions, no matter what the outcomes are.

You don't need to control. Be confident.

Thanks for watching this video, I hope you enjoyed it,

that you apply it, and share it.

Accounting for Beginners #60 / Accumulated Depreciation / Contra Asset / Accounting Basics - Duration: 12:52.

yo yo yo what's going on rain hey you know it is CPA strength strongest CPA in

the state of Florida licensee fear that is what do you do over your CP in

strength what do you do I teach the world accounting by the basic building

block by building block by building blocks you know what I'm saying this

happens to be your first time here welcome hope to see you again why I got

something for you to do check out this playlist right here it is the best

accounting playlist in the world I guarantee that in it's always evolving

more and more every day like a genie bottle rub it dreams come true enough

said about that let's get into today's action what today's action this is my

classic series to class all love a good classic series this is my classic series

accounting for beginners this is number 60 this is a 60s installment right after

59 right before 61 it's so special it's got its own video number 60 so specially

by little video what are we doing in number 60 we're doing accumulated

depreciation we're talking about accumulated depreciation we're talking

about what is it where does it show up in the balance sheet what's the deal

with it like Lex it all about I took a picture I went on the internet and HTT

path slash forward slash Google search something go to my photos so here's what

I did now how much I do a split screen of what I'm looking at on my phone here

you know this is the foot one of the first balance sheets that I came up

across when I searched balance sheet in Google search so you can search a

balance sheet and try this out just search a balance sheet on Google

and look try a different one that's not this Blue Lagoon water resort park I

just want you to notice that on this one on one that you pull up at all my

examples and on every other example you will see it's always going to be assets

equal liabilities plus equity now out now we're going to zoom into this this

is my mapping system DC a blur debit credit etc experience liability equity

revenue if an asset is going up in value or increasing it's going to be debit if

an asset is decreasing it would be a credit accumulated depreciation is a

contra asset that's the first thing I have a my lord

it's a contra asset that's what that's what you would need to remember because

you already know very no DCA's or because you've been writing that on on

your paper every day forever and then you see something about depreciate a

cumulative preciate or make a journal entry with depreciation expense and you

don't know what's going on or you have a question about accumulate depreciation

you don't know what's going on if you can if you can remember accumulated

depreciation as a contra asset you know that you don't even have to remember a

cut it's called contrast and you can just remember that it's seen in reason

they call it contrasted contrary to what normally happens normally normally you

have a if it's if it's increasing you have a normal balance of an asset of a

debit now with the contra asset of accumulated

appreciation I think if team on a depreciation might be the only contra

asset out there I'm sure there's other ones but still when I can think of it

it's the most prevalent one so let up so the contra asset

contrary to normal ones it is a positive credit balance but cons it's to contrast

against contrary to normal posit is a positive credit it's a

positive credit the positive credits a contra asset

set contra what's that for the 30 men unconscious game left left left a up

down the select B LT effect this balance sheet here let's get back to this barrel

cheat now you notice on 90 notice miss balance sheet look at the bottom assets

46 9 $491 950 and that equals liabilities and equity which is 46

million 491 950,000 so as you can see

assets equal liabilities plus equity and that is on that is the ballot that is

the valid sheet and you can see they equals so these entity one of the reason

DC are so handy because it has the balance sheet in it assets equal

liabilities plus equity so I want you to see that that equal to o is going to

equal assets are always an equal liabilities plus equity now let's look

over on the asset side I just want what's go to the opposite side has

current assets under current assets it has investments under that property

equipment then under that what property being equipment they have I label I

label my my balance sheet fixed asset or and they have theirs property equipment

doesn't really the differences a small difference their land building

furnishings and equipment then they after that they have less accumulated

depreciation and they subtract that that means less they subtract the humid

appreciation from the rest of the property equipment and then they get net

property equipment so if you're looking at this in a glance you can see the the

book value or the net you know the net value of the property plant equipment

or the fixed assets you can you can glance at that they don't tally them up

but let's see you you would be able to see that the lamp the property equipment

you know was bought for 30 36 million there is a four and a half million of

accumulated depreciation so the net 32 million you know so there's 32 million

you know land is not depreciable so you would so you could subtract that by the

net so it's at 25 25 25 million more to depreciate on on those assets notice I'm

just saying you know what I see on this balance sheet and so that's that's

accumulated depreciation when you know in a company is I just want to show you

a balance sheet that you could find from anywhere enough of that

I'll get it's really digging to accumulate depreciation read my board

right and stay focused so I already told I've already went over

to contracts that blah blah blah yeah it's contrary because it's a credit to

credit it's like it's in the credit for positive what's the journal entry for

the stimulus appreciation when are you going to see to like appreciation when

you going to run along a particular depreciation when let's think about what

cumulated depreciation is this depreciation that accumulates you have

depreciation from one year depreciation expense it sits in your accumulated

depreciation pile you have depreciation expense in another year and it goes in

the accumulation to pile every depreciation expense goes over to

accumulated depreciation as well so in eight cumulates it keeps going up and up

and up every year the journal entry I believe unless you have like some

corrective inch I mean I ninety-nine point nine of your I'm reliable in here

and if I'm wrong let me know if you think you're going to current not like

not a correct but this is going to be your journal

entry here so if you have depreciation or accumulated depreciation and you

don't know anything this is me oh this is going to be the journal entry you're

going to debit depreciation expense so sleep so this one you have debit

depreciation expense 1,000 create accumulated depreciation of a thousand

that's going to be the journal entry you can have a debit depreciation expense

crediting accumulated depreciation why is it like that because you're you

are expensing your expensing the asset via depreciation expense I'm going to

answer an unknown over there going to be out of their mind so this will be the

journal journal journal entry for accumulated depreciation so if you can't

remember here the journal entry or it's a contra asset I want you to think about

so I just showed you the balance sheet before so I want you to think about what

what is what it's doing what accumulated depreciation is doing so I have on my

belt just a balance sheet here 1231 16 assets I have winter assets I have fixed

assets under the face assets I have a truck for a salad for $5,000 so I know

if I see that on the balance sheet I know assets I know out sets on the

balance sheet I hope balance sheets asset to liability select me if I see

that I know it's five o'clock I know it was worth $5,000 when it was purchased i

was the purchase price then i see human a depreciation - two thousand dollars on

the balance sheet so I not have total fixed assets of three thousand dollars

now you say whoa time out time out time out you think you

thought you got me out so right you're right here this journal entry is only

for $1000 you know this was for this year this was in 20 this was a 2016

journal entry right for $1000 so now if on the balance sheet it has $2,000 to

accumulated depreciation this is my the balanced on top but you'd be thinking

at there was probably you know this truck was not bought during this year

because the depreciation expense this year was a thousand dollars because

you'd look right under the balance sheet the income statement see what was the

differentiation expense for this year was only a thousand dollars why has

accumulated depreciation two thousand dollars

well they had a thousand dollars from a prior year sort of cumulate so it's

totaled two thousand dollars okay so the truck

has three thousand dollars left appreciations probably got a couple more

years of depreciation left so you can glean glean all that or whatever from

looking at the balance sheet for a couple seconds and that's kind of why

it's done like that now to have a negative on the balance to have a

negative a negative amount on the balance sheet for assets is is rarey

already then we also want to tell you the CRA children or depreciation expense

and keenly depreciation are like you're like biffle's best friends forever

forever they're always together I don't think you're going to see one without

the other ever there biffle's oh you're going to

being journal entries together and this was the definition in the book

accumulate depreciation is the contra asset account credited when recording

the depreciation of a fixed asset that's a definition of the book let's try to

make this a short one and one really long again it's all about accumulate

depreciation thank you for watching this is going to be the end of the video I

hope to see you for the next one in 61 if you liked it please like like share

subscribe share it's accounting knowledge with other people don't be

stingy and don't be stingy try to stay positive don't be a hater until the next

Trans 101: Ep 9 - Social Transition [CC] - Duration: 7:59.

[intro music]

Hi, and welcome to another episode of the trans 101 series

Today we are going to be talking about

Social transition

Are gospel tracts effective? - Duration: 2:49.

- A lot of people have negative stereotypes about tracts.

They've been called "hit and run evangelism"

where people just go out and throw tracts at people,

and call that evangelism.

I think part of that stems from the fact

that there are a lot of very bad tracts out there

that people have run across,

and it may have soured them on the experience,

but there also are some wonderful tracts out there,

and if you utilize a good tract,

this can be a very effective means of communicating the Gospel.

I believe in using Gospel booklets

as one tool in your toolkit.

A Gospel booklet, a Gospel tract is a tool.

It's just like a hammer.

A hammer is a tool.

It can be used to build a house,

or it can be used to kill a man.

But we want to use it in a beneficial way,

and two ways that I believe

tracts can be used very beneficially --

One is to help new believers share their faith.

When someone first comes to Christ,

they're excited about Christ,

they're excited about their newfound experience in Christ,

and they want to share that with as many people

as they can, and yet,

they've not memorized any verses of Scripture,

they probably can't articulate a clear Gospel outline,

but if you can read and turn pages,

you can share a Gospel booklet,

and I've seen many new believers in the very first week

of their Christian experience be able to communicate

the Good News to family and friends

through the use of a Gospel booklet.

A second reason why I believe that they're valuable,

and ought to be a tool in our toolkit

is that a Gospel booklet is something you can

leave with someone.

I've started many Gospel conversations

that I wasn't able to finish,

and so I've simply put a booklet in someone's hands,

and know that then they have the Gospel

that they can read over later, or look over later.

In fact, one of those instances, some four years later,

I received a phone call from an individual

that I'd given a booklet to four years earlier,

who had finally read it, and come to faith in Christ.

So one of the great benefits of a booklet

is that it can be placed in someone's hands,

where they can look it over later.

A Gospel booklet that I helped write,

that we produced here in the Billy Graham school at Southern

is called "Experiencing God's Grace".

You'll see a link on the screen below

that you can click on to access this booklet

on our website.

What promotes the development of unconditional love. Why thoughts like "I do, I help" are harmful? - Duration: 5:49.

When a person is doing something, his ego appears, saying: "I'm doing it!"

Radhe-Radhe.

And this ego actually distirbs a person.

When a person in a state of unconditional love, he is acting without his ego,

he wants nothing in return.

If a person wants to get something in return,

and his ego is present, is connected, then it's asakti – attachment.

For example, if I teach you something good now,

I shouldn't think: "I'm teaching you". Even inwardly I shouldn't think so.

Because it's the power of God that gave you something good through me.

When a person is doing any sort of action, he shouldn't create or connect his ego to it.

And eventually, when doing something, he won't ask: "What will I get in return?", won't have such a desire.

Then it is unconditional love.

Radhe-Radhe.

And it's also a practice, that you need

to do permanently in your life for your improvement.

Because when a person is doing anything there's

always a parallel question: "What will I get for it?"

Therefore, it's one of spiritual practices

that a person needs to improve.

Radhe-Radhe.

And there's another very good point, about which I want to tell you:

if you have such thoughts, it will be really good for you.

When you do any sort of job, do it as a service of God.

You don't connect your ego in such cases.

Do it as a servant, not as a master.

When you turn your job into service,

when you do it as a servant of God,

then you'll have it done perfectly and you won't get attached.

Radhe-Radhe.

But when you think of yourself as of a master, when you think: "I do this, I help them, I'm such and such..."

your ego will grow, it will get bigger,

and you'll have difficulties in your life.

Ego is always distracting us. It doesn't allow us to connect with God. Radhe-Radhe.

Therefore, you need to be not a master, but a servant of God.

When you're helping someone, doing some domestic chores,

it's also a service of God.

When you are doing any sort of job, it's a service of God, because God is within everybody.

Radhe-Radhe.

Was ist SHADOWVERSE?! 🌙 Gameplay Überblick mit Wonderland Dreams (Sponsored) - Furo - Duration: 6:21.

Hello, and welcome to another Shadowverse video sponsored by Cygames.

You might know that I am recording my videos in general in English,

but Shadowverse is finally available in German

so I thought it might be a cool idea to show you the game and the game basics today in my mother tongue.

Shadowverse is a free to play Anime collectible card game made by Cygames,

which is available for Steam , Android and Apple devices.

It is currently one of the most successful Apps in the asian region.

Similar to its competitor's Shadowverse is a one-on-one experience,

where you are trying to win against your opponent in a fair card game fight.

It is possible to battle versus a human or an A.I. opponent.

Every player brings a self created 40 card deck into the arena,

which features countless minions, spells and amulets.

With the help of these cards, skill and a bit of luck your task is it

to reduce the life points of your enemy from 20 down to 0 and win the game.

On top of that there are also alternative ways to win a game through various card effects.

At the start of each turn the active player will draw the top card of his deck

and he is increasing it`s maximum amount of play points by one, up to a limit of ten.

Play Points can be used to pay the cost to play a card

and will regenerate at the start of each turn to the maximum you currently have available.

That is a well known system, which should be familiar to anyone who is an experienced card game player.

Maybe not with the term play point, but you surely know the term Mana, am I right?!

The specific costs of a card can be found at the top left corner,

as a showcase we will have a look at a follower called Goblin Leader,

which is costing 4 play points.

In general you will get stronger cards the more play points you need to invest for it.

As a result of it you will play rather small creatures

and weak spells early in the game,

while the power level is growing the longer

a game is going on until you are ready to drop your strongest tools out of your deck in the endgame

The Goblin Leader as a follower

also has an attack and defence stat,

which can be found at the bottom of a card, symbolized by the blue and red icon.

In our example therefore two attack and three defence.

The attack is in this case the damage that a follower is doing,

while the defence is similar to how much damage a unit can take before getting destroyed.

Follower will remain on the field as long as

their defence is not reduce to zero or lower

and will be your main source of damage to reduce your opponents life points.

Besides followers you also have spells in the game,

which can be used for single time instantly activated effects,

and amulets, which have ongoing or time limited effects that will remain for multiple turns on the field.

A very unique and important feature of Shadowverse

is furthermore the so called Evolution ability.

This is a highly limited mechanics, that can be used after a specific amount of time in a match

on any unevolved follower available on the battlefield.

This will not only change the artwork of the card,

on top of that increases the stats,

allows for some extra effects on specific followers

and you can attack enemy followers on the same turn you have played the unit.

This dynamic game element is only available

right now in Shadowverse

and one of the reasons why the game is so successful.

It results in a fast battle between the competitors

and swing turns, which would otherwise not possible in this way.

This mechanic in combination with the super quick,

smooth animations and the mobile focus

are keys for a fast paced gameplay which will give you an average game time of five to ten minutes.

It is perfect for a quick round on the go,

but nonetheless has a great game depth

and countless different card combinations and deck possibilities to try out.

Nowadays Shadowverse has four expansions out in the wild,

so a decent amount of different cards for every of the seven available classes in the game.

This shouldn`t discourage you as a beginner,

but instead brings me to a very important point

and why I am personally always recommending Shadowverse to a newcomer in the card game genre.

It is a free to play game that can be played without paying a dime.

Contrary to competitors in the market it is way more interested in giving you a great new player experience

and will give you tons of free booster packs and cards to help you out early on.

Blizzard's card game Hearthstone will for example give you

a handful of packs for the start, meanwhile Shadowverse is a paradise for any collector.

Depending on the start promotion that is currently running

you will get up to 100 packs without much trouble as a starting package

even after that more free stuff is waiting with a daily

login bonus, monthly promotions, achievements and much more.

The Japanese have understand how to create a satisfying and fun product,

which is probably one of the reasons why the game is flourishing as it is right now.

And when we are talking about free stuff anyway:

Besides a multiplayer mode, which contains ranked, casual

an arena style tournament mode,

there is also a lengthy solo adventure story mode.

For each of the seven classes

you can play a part of an ongoing story,

which will of course benefit you with additional rewards when you complete the missions.

The story mode is potentially a great playground for anyone

who is not too interested in playing against humans and prefers the A.I. opponents.

So, you see there is a lot to explore in this game and I hope this small overview

was giving you a pleasent first look into it.

If you have additional questions you can just ask me in the comment section.

The same goes surely for feedback and please tell me if you want to see more german videos in the future.

Thank you for watching and I hope to see you in the next video as well,

Take care.
