HOW TO SET GOALS AND ACHIEVE THEM - Simple steps to achieve goals in 2018 - Duration: 5:08.

hey guys it's Christina here and this episode is slightly different to the

ones that you usually see on my channel

This episode is about setting new year's resolutions and why am i expert in this

why am i sharing this with you it's because there is a lot of wealth of

information there is a lot of videos about how to set goals how to be

successful in them and trust me I tried so so many of those and I was really

unsuccessful and what in the last couple of years I have been doing and I was

successful with it I thought of sharing it with you because I know that we're

different people and not everything works the same for us so maybe something

that has worked for me will also work for some of you so let's get into it

shall we the very first thing that I do that I

tend to do is I try and avoid setting goals in the beginning of the year I

know it's a little bit strange but bear with me because I feel like if you set

goals in the beginning of the year you did because of the peer pressure and

sometimes you set the goals that you don't really mean

or want or you're not very dedicated to achieve like sometimes people say oh

I'll start going to the gym everyday this year so what I try to do is I

set either just a few days or months before the goal and or after and

sometimes this I set goals two to four times a year so don't set I don't have

like one day to where I set goals for the whole 12 months I actually set goals

for the next two months I will have probably a generic goal and then I will

have sub goals that will have a shorter time a month or two months so I can

evaluate them on a regular basis such a goal could be replacing their milk with

plant-based milk and just see notice for the next 30 days how my body feels if

and if I like it or if there any difficulty so just look at

pros and cons and then after that if I want to go a step further if I see that

my body responds very positively to plant-based milk then maybe I want to

keep it for another month or two months or for the rest of the year and then

adding something else like for example instead of eating meat five times a

week I would eat meat three times a week so making goals also specific as

specific as possible so you might have a generic goal such as stay healthy

become healthier and then you will have sub goals and those sub goals are very

very important because you'll see that those are the ones that will help you

achieve your bigger goal so what I found is setting small and manageable goals

and being specific with your goals on a regular

basis is what helped me achieve them then I also looked at my strengths and

weaknesses and I realized that there are some areas where I would love to have an

accountability partner so I can strive and I can keep on working very hard

towards a certain goal like for example around my business because I'm not an

expert and that having an accountability partner or someone that will have a

second thought or opinion someone that has done things before or that just someone

that I can call and say by the way I have done this I was really successful I

find that that helps and it is not a bad or a good thing it's just in some areas

we do need support we do need help so make sure you get it so you can achieve

your goals if you really want to so those were my

four tips on how to set new year's resolutions or how to make at least your

new resolution successful so the first one of them is set small and manageable

goals evaluate your goals frequently so every month or every two months

reevaluate them just understand if you want to continue and if you like what

you're seeing then take it a step further and also have an accountability

partner in areas where you're don't feel strong enough thank you so much for

Kit review: Zvezda Jagdpanzer Ferdinand in 1/35 scale - Duration: 14:44.

Jagdpanzer Ferdinand, Zvezda, 1/35 scale, kit review.

Hi everyone and welcome to the kit review video of the heavy tank hunter Ferdinand by Zvezda in 1/35 scale.

This is a brand new kit of this pretty well known tank hunter, which saw service during WW2.

A bunch of model kit brands dealt with the vehicle aldready and developed their kits. Some are good, some are not so good.

When this kit got announced a couple of months ago some interesting rumors started to float around the internet.

Some claimed it was just a mere reboxing of some old and bad kits.

As far as i can tell this is not a reboxing at all. It is indeed a new tooling, which stands alone. It is not based on an older kit.

Thats why it is worth to have a closer look.

The way the kit is packed is sensible. Everything is well protected by two cardboard boxes.

We should not see any damage on our parts occuring during the shipping of the product. Exemplary, thats how it should always be.

Let´s have a look at the instructions first. The background history of the vehicle is printed in Russian and English.

Down here we are told about two options for the model. It just tells us that we can build the hatches opened up and the gun travel lock can be built in engaged position or folded down. Thats it really.

Here they give us a sprue map with all included parts and sprues shown in detail. That way one can maintain the clear view of the building project.

Then we start with the assembly. On the right we have the main steps, on the left we are shown sub-assemblies.

The components needed for the main assembly steps are explained in the sub-assemblies.

We begin with the lower hull.

I kinde like the layout. I know that it is not for everyone, but i personally think it is okay.

It should be good enough to work with it.

Not too many parts get added to the model in every step. That way it remains clear.

Wheels and tracks. As you can see the tracks come as segments.

Personally i am not a fan of that, but it is alright. Certainly better than these vinyl tracks or the DS tracks by Dragon.

Here we glue in some kind of mosquito netting to represent some kind of air intake grill. A photo-etched grill would certainly be better.

Well, it won´t be really visible in the end. It is covered for the most part and points downwards.

It does not seem to be a complex build at all.

Relatively simple kit.

Next we deal with the casemate. It consists of several parts. I like that.

The interlocked construction of the casemate of the real vehicle is actually represented with the plastic parts as well. That way you do not have to do some extra work on the edges.

The interior parts of the gun are included, besides that we do not get any other interior detail.

Here the vehicle starts to come together. A lot of small parts like hatches and tools get put on.

The springs for the front fenders are molded separately. I like that.

The towing cables. Seems like they are made out of plastic and come each in one part.

That is indeed a matter of taste. Some people will like this, other will despise it.

That is interesting: The gun barrel comes as one piece and the muzzle break consists of several parts. Looks like a very modern tooling to me.

That finishes the assembly. Zvezda suggests three vehicles in the painting and marking guide.

Vehicle 501, vehicle 123 and vehicle 612, all of the 653rd heavy tank hunter detachment, which saw service during Operation Citadel, the Battle of Kursk.

Here we can see a paint chart, but it only refers to Humbrol paints. Thats a bit limited. Having a few other paint brands there would not hurt.

Let´s move on to the plastic parts. This is the lower hull. You can already see here how big the vehicle will be. It is quite a machine!

The quality of the molding is as good as we can expect it from a brand new kit. No seams or flash is visible.

Some lovely details here, like these rivet heads.

The weld seam looks pretty decent, too.

This section of the hull will get covered by a part later, so it has no special textures on it.

Well, these front parts won´t get covered by a part.

Very even, it should be easy to get the texture on there with some Mr. Surfacer liquid putty.

The bottom side has some nice details, too. It has a nice weld sem there. Looks pretty decent overall.

The first sprue holds a variety of diferent parts, like the roof and rear plate of the casemate.

This looks like the air intakes, which belong to the engine deck section.

The fenders have a nice anti skid texture. On the other side we have some ejection pin marks.

They are actually quite easy to remove if you care about them. Should be not a big deal.

Here the rear of the casemate up close. You can see some very nice weld seams and these typical big rivets are nicely done.

Looks pretty sweet to me.

On this sprue we have again a pretty random array of parts.

Especially noteworthy is the one piece gun barrel.

There is some minimal flash and the connection points to the sprue which need some clean up.

Certainly not as much work as taking care of a two-piece gun barrel.

Over here we can see the muzzle break, at least a part of it. Looks good as well.

Serious flash and other defects are not visible. There is some minimal flash here and there, but it is really just a little. Nothing that should cause problems.

On this sprue we find more parts of the casemate. Thats the front bit and these two are the sides.

One thing i notice here, maybe you can see it, too: It seems like this part has some scratches on it.

Well, the parts are very even so you will try to put on some rough texture on it anyway, using some liquid putty.

Thats why i am not terribly annoyed by this, but it is certainly not a good thing. Zvezda should try to put some of the sprues in separate bags.

The towing cables look very nice. They are made out of solid plastic and have nice details.

The disadvantage is, that you can only put them on in this specific position as they are molded.

In this particular case i do not really mind it, but i can imagine that some fellows might have to replace them if they have other planes with their towing cables.

Anyway, they are very nicely detailed and certainly better than these weird sausage cords we get i in some Tamiya kits for example.

This sprue is included three times in the kit and it holds some running gear components, like the wheels and these special suspension arms.

Looks quite nice as well.

There is no flash or other defects in sight.

Some parts have such a crystalline pattern on them, thats just a cooling mark of the plastic.

When molten plastic cools off it sometimes shows such patterns.

Thats no problem here at all, because it is on the inner face of the wheel and it also does not show through once you put paint on the part. You can pretty much disregard it entirely.

The smaller parts have some nice details on them, like rivets and weld seams here and there. It looks very fine.

The next sprue is included twice in the kit and it has more running gear parts, in this case the sprocket wheels.

I like that the connections to the sprue sit on these fairly thick theeth of the sprocket wheels. It reduces the danger of breaking a part considerably.

Again we see nice weld marks even on small parts. Maybe you can see it.

Very nice. When it comes to weld seams Zvezda did a good job. When it comes to armor steel texture not so much, though.

Thats a smaller problem though, it is easier to fix than the other way round.

Another sprue, which is included twice. This one has the tracks on it.

As i said before they come in segments. That is not for everyone. I personally do not like them very much, because it is restrictive for diorama builders.

It is not possible to adapt the running gear to an uneven surface on a diorama.

At least they are the correct tracks.They are nicely done.

Curiously, the Jagdpanzer Elefant, which is based on the Ferdinand, or let´s say, it is rather the later version.

That vehicle had indeed different tracks. Here we have the correct, early Ferdinand tracks.

On the other side we have some ejection pin marks here and there. It is not a big deal, though.

They are not on every track link. There are no ejection pin marks on the individual links, there are just a few on some of the longer sections.

It should be manageable.

For a barely visible air intake on the vehicle we get this mosquito netting material.

A photo-etched part is certainly the better choice here. In this case it won´t be really visible in the end. I think it should be alright.

The periscopes come as clear parts.

That is certainly a nice feature. I just noticed that the plastic is very soft. It is almost like rubber.

That makes the cleaning up process a bit more tedious. A stronger material would be the better choice.

The decal sheet is fairly small. We get three crosses and a couple of tactical numbers.

We do not need more than that. These vehicles did not carry a lot of markings.

The carrier film is rather small as you can see.

My experiences with the new Zvezda decals are 100% positive. The should be good enough.

The kit is with its not quite 300 parts and the sophisticated arrangement surprisingly straightforward. I really like that.

Additionally you have a rather low price of about 30€. Because of that this kit is recommended to beginners as well.

If you compare that with the price tags of Dragon Ferdinand kits or with the Tamiya Elefant kit you will notice, that you make quite a bargain here for getting almost the same quality.

Despite everything some aspects of the kit are really a matter of taste. Some people might like it, some people might hate it.

Examples are the segment tracks, the plastic towing cables or the instructions.

These points can cause some dispute. Some people like it, some people don´t like it. It certainly depends also on what you have in mind for the model.

It seems to me that a special strong point of this kit are the welds, a weakness is the lacking steel texture on the armor plate parts in my opinion.

Those are just minor things, i guess it does not make much of a difference for a lot of people.

In my country the kit costs about 30€. You get a lot of kit and plastic for that.

She is tricking us...

Yep, I'm lying... Because I saw the training and thought "I'm not able to do this".

And then, today I'll interview Lucas and Kaynan,

they will tell us about their journey,

how they arrived here, how is the training...

So, let's start with introductions!

My name is Kaynan, I'm 19, I'm a brown belt from Atos.

I'm from Pederneiras, a small city in Brazil.

It happened by chance, I met André Galvão last year through Paulo Ledesma and I'm here now.

I'm Lucas Barbosa, known as Hulk.

I'm from Roraíma, but I moved to Rio de Janeiro. I decided to live my jiu-jitsu dream

and I had to go to Rio de Janeiro because Roraíma is too far.

I arrived in Rio and started training with the guys

and they thought that my guard pass was too strong

and said "oh he is strong as Hulk".

But I'm not too big, but the pressure is good!

That matters!!

I'm here for 2 years. I met André through some friends.

Every time I came to USA, I trained at Atos Long Beach with Kevin.

And how was that? You are here for two years now and you have the Green Card, you live here.

And you are still trying to be permanent…

How did you get here and what are your plans stay here?

My first visa was a tourist's visa.

It was in 2014, I was in Pederneiras yet.

In a neighborhood city, Bauru, I meet my friend and professor Paulo Ledesma.

He told me he had Galvão's contact and that he could help me, to develop myself.

I met André and he invited me to train.

And I won the no gi worlds.

He told me that the doors would always be open.

And I'm still here, but I always come back to Brazil.

Maybe next year I'll be able to update my visa…

For now, I'm fine like this.

And where do you live here? Where do you stay?!

Here I stay in a house that…

He is nomad.

I stay in a team's house, from Atos.

And you have your Green Card and how was the process for you?

When I came here for the second time, I met my girlfriend

And I lived in Rio de Janeiro and she lived here, it was so complicated.

So I decided move here.

Because of the opportunities, it's America, the country of opportunities,

and jiu-jitsu is really good here.

And this was it, I came here, started to live in the country

and I was dating my girlfriend for a long time and we decided to get married.

We got married, I got my visa and now I'm legally here.

I could try my athlete visa, because I have so many important titles;

it could be good for me too, but this is slower to get the green card.

Getting married was faster than I expected.

I decided to get married because we were already lived together.

We see many people in Brazil who want to come here and don't know how.

Do you need a number of titles, right? How it works?

There are many people who come here and here in USA, the rules are strict.

We have a period of six months here and if you don't come back to Brazil in this period,

you will have problems when you'd like to come back.

I think that when someone wants to come here, think carefully.

because you have just one opportunity and if you lose it, you will not be able to try again.

My advice is that when you decide to immigrate, look for a lawyer.

If you are a professional athlete, try to get the athlete visa.

They need that you win the most important titles, do you know?

Or you could to try to get a job, someone that would hire you here.

Yep, they choose who can enter in their country.

It's complicated.

The competition is getting bigger and bigger.

Opponents are more resistant, faster and harder.

To win is more difficult.

Top-level sport has moved to the level where every little things, every detail decides on victory or defeat.

It´s not enough to train hard and tough.

It is necessary to aim to other components which could make the performance better.

Sporthacking is a complex approach to sportsman´s preparation.

It combines 4 basic areas of training.

It is the training together with nutrition, regeneration and mental preparation.

It is important to realise that all these 4 areas are connected and they influence each other.

It means - when I work on one area it will influence the other.

But the reality now is such that – I dare to say – in 80 – 90% it is in a negative mode.

For example, the player has a great training but he has no meal

or has a bad meal after the training

which influences his regeneration in a negative way about 80 % - which is not little.

Top-level sport today is mainly about the business.

At the same time the players are facing increasing pressure from parents, coaches.

They play more games, they have more training units

and especially the competition is much bigger.

The training methods are so refined now that – if I exaggerate it –

the training methods in some small village are similar to those

used in some advanced club in Canada.

The training is on such a high level now

so the trend is shifting and will shift even more and more towards the complexity

and especially towards nutrition, regeneration and mental preparation.

Trainings and training´s methods are almost on its limits.

Experts claim that physical trainings won´t reach higher level.

The effort for the improvement of the performance limits remains.

That´s why it is necessary that not only the training is perfect

but we also need to think about the balanced nutrition, complete regeneration - that are closely related -

and also about the mental state.

For some time, I had lived in hockey-advanced countries such as the USA and Canada

and there even the little player is raised in a way that not only the training

but also the regeneration, nutrition and the positive coaching is important.

They take it automatically that the training is not only about the physical part

but also about the nutrition and good regeneration.

In our country I often encounter attitude like "Hey, we did it eating white rolls so you can do it too."

But this is not valid any more and the trend is somewhere else.

The top-level sportsman and often even his coach realises only with difficulty

that training, regeneration, nutrition and mental state are closely related to each other.

The physical training is and will be the most important part.

However, it´s like pieces of a puzzle.

When they are put together they make the synergic effect.

When the regeneration, nutrition and positive psychology are added to the training

it could take the player to a different level.

There are thousands of sportsmen not only from ice-hockey

which had to end their careers when they were 15, 18, 25 years old

because of the bad regeneration and nutrition.

But we will never find it out.

We know only about the successes and quite often we hear things like:

"Look at him, he doesn´t regenerate and still he´s so good" but these are only the blind arguments.

The trends are now getting somewhere else and the complexity is extremely important.

I got to Vítek through the recommendation of one coach

and we´ve been working together approximately half a year.

I used to be ill quite often and now my immunity got better

so this is where it helped me the most.

I gained some weight, I got stronger and the main thing -

I found out that I lacked a high-quality fat and other nutrients.

I refilled it with help of Vítek and it is OK now.

Sportsmen often can´t handle the big training´s unit.

They are tired, exhausted, irritated and mentally unstable.

This all has a negative effect on their performance.

Their bodies can´t recover properly.

The reason could be very simple.

Bad diet that doesn´t allow a proper regeneration.

The higher training intensity is then useless.

When the child is small then his diet and regeneration doesn´t need to be so strict.

But it is important to influence it little by little.

Then, when the player is 20 or 25 years old and goes to play abroad

he knows what the protein and fat is,

he knows about regeneration, cold water, cryotherapy,

he understands what it does to his body and this is the most important - that the players –

we are talking about the youngest ones – perceive that it is not only about the training

but that the regeneration and diet is very important as well.

If the coach demands an optimal performance from the sportsman or hockey-player

he has to keep in mind that he will gain it

only from a well-motivated player in a great physical and mental condition

who has a healthy eating habits, breathes correctly and is adequately regenerated.

I met sportsmen who belonged to the representation team

but they were tired, in low spirits, they often got sweet cravings,

were ill more often, were irritated, they had injuries more often,

and overall they lacked the vital energy.

When you see the biochemistry of blood and the complete state of health

then you realise how much it is about the regeneration and proper nutrition.

Our body is like a human engine.

Nowadays, when we look at the young ones we can see they go at 120 km/hour

but the engine is shifted into second gear and what´s more - we pour the poor-quality oil in it.

That shows us exactly that it is not only about the physical training.

When we combine it with proper regeneration and nutrition than it is the best thing we can do.
