EP #1 - HULK E KAYNAN: Treinando na Atos + Visto Americano - Duration: 5:24.
Hey, guys! I'm here in Atos HQ, San Diego.
Unfortunately I'm not able to train because of my finger's surgery.
She is tricking us...
Yep, I'm lying... Because I saw the training and thought "I'm not able to do this".
And then, today I'll interview Lucas and Kaynan,
they will tell us about their journey,
how they arrived here, how is the training...
So, let's start with introductions!
My name is Kaynan, I'm 19, I'm a brown belt from Atos.
I'm from Pederneiras, a small city in Brazil.
It happened by chance, I met André Galvão last year through Paulo Ledesma and I'm here now.
I'm Lucas Barbosa, known as Hulk.
I'm from Roraíma, but I moved to Rio de Janeiro. I decided to live my jiu-jitsu dream
and I had to go to Rio de Janeiro because Roraíma is too far.
I arrived in Rio and started training with the guys
and they thought that my guard pass was too strong
and said "oh he is strong as Hulk".
But I'm not too big, but the pressure is good!
That matters!!
I'm here for 2 years. I met André through some friends.
Every time I came to USA, I trained at Atos Long Beach with Kevin.
And how was that? You are here for two years now and you have the Green Card, you live here.
And you are still trying to be permanent…
How did you get here and what are your plans stay here?
My first visa was a tourist's visa.
It was in 2014, I was in Pederneiras yet.
In a neighborhood city, Bauru, I meet my friend and professor Paulo Ledesma.
He told me he had Galvão's contact and that he could help me, to develop myself.
I met André and he invited me to train.
And I won the no gi worlds.
He told me that the doors would always be open.
And I'm still here, but I always come back to Brazil.
Maybe next year I'll be able to update my visa…
For now, I'm fine like this.
And where do you live here? Where do you stay?!
Here I stay in a house that…
He is nomad.
I stay in a team's house, from Atos.
And you have your Green Card and how was the process for you?
When I came here for the second time, I met my girlfriend
And I lived in Rio de Janeiro and she lived here, it was so complicated.
So I decided move here.
Because of the opportunities, it's America, the country of opportunities,
and jiu-jitsu is really good here.
And this was it, I came here, started to live in the country
and I was dating my girlfriend for a long time and we decided to get married.
We got married, I got my visa and now I'm legally here.
I could try my athlete visa, because I have so many important titles;
it could be good for me too, but this is slower to get the green card.
Getting married was faster than I expected.
I decided to get married because we were already lived together.
We see many people in Brazil who want to come here and don't know how.
Do you need a number of titles, right? How it works?
There are many people who come here and here in USA, the rules are strict.
We have a period of six months here and if you don't come back to Brazil in this period,
you will have problems when you'd like to come back.
I think that when someone wants to come here, think carefully.
because you have just one opportunity and if you lose it, you will not be able to try again.
My advice is that when you decide to immigrate, look for a lawyer.
If you are a professional athlete, try to get the athlete visa.
They need that you win the most important titles, do you know?
Or you could to try to get a job, someone that would hire you here.
Yep, they choose who can enter in their country.
It's complicated.
Yes, it's like that.

My Language Miracle Morning: The Morning Routine for Learning Languages - Duration: 5:09.Hi guys! Today I'd like to talk about a book that really changed my life.
"The Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod. My goal today is to explain how the tips
included in the book can help you learn a language. Even if you're busy as I am.
You'll find plenty of information about "The Miracle Morning" on the Internet and on YouTube
So I won't spend much time summarizing the book, but basically,
the author presents a simple but effective recipe for focusing on the things you love
and that matter the most to you. To achieve this his basic tip is very simple:
wake up a little bit earlier and start the day
with a series of activities that will help you maximize your day's potential.
In The Miracle Morning you'll find a series of activities you can do when you wake up
such as relax, write in your diary, work out, meditate, read and so on.
But what I really like is that you can personalize this routine however you like.
In my case The Miracle Morning has become "The Language Miracle Morning"
because one of the main activities I've included in my morning routine is learning languages
Let me describe my "language miracle morning" and explain how you can benefit from it too.
I usually wake up at 6 a.m.... I know it's pretty early,
but you can do the same by just setting up your alarm 15 or 30 minutes before
your usual waking time. The secret here is not to lose any sleep:
in my case, instead of going to sleep at midnight and waking up at 7 a.m.
Now I go to bed at 11 and I wake up at 6.
So I wake up at 6, I wash my face with cold water (this wakes me up)
brush my teeth and drink a big glass of water.
Then, I meditate for at least 10 minutes and I start my language learning routine
which consists of: reviewing vocab and learning at least 10 new words and phrases with
my MosaLingua app, listening to my target language for at least 10 minutes
(I use MosaLingua dialogues, podcasts, radio channels and so on). Then, depending on the
time I have left, I can read written materials like a book, dialogues or
newspapers articles to keep my motivation high and learn something, plus
reviewing vocab and learning new words in context. Watch youtube videos or short
series in my target language, practice some auto-conversation (so I speak to
myself - my family is still in bed at this point so they won't think I'm crazy)
and chat with native speakers. The language part of my morning routine
usually lasts 30 or 40 minutes, while my overall language routine can be 1h or 1h30.
After these language activities I like to read
(if possible in the target language), work out and practice other activities I'm learning.
It really depends on the day and on when my son wakes up.
So why I'm telling you all this?
Just to convince you that if you find it difficult to
fit studying languages into your day or you find yourself thinking "I do not have
time to learn a language" you now have an excellent solution.
You don't have to wake up at 6 a.m. or study 30 to 40 minutes every day like I do, but if you
wake up even 20 minutes earlier and you study for 10-15 minutes every day,
this will add up and make a huge difference after 3 or 6 months (for example you
could end up learning 900 words after 3 months, in 1800 after 6 - and that's huge!)
Anyone can do it... So give it a try! I hope this video will inspire and convince you
to try a language morning routine of your own.
We posted another video on the channel about how to build habits: watch that one
next to find out how to transform your language morning miracle into a strong habit.
Thanks for watching! Give us a thumbs up if you liked this video, share it
and do not forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel. Take care!

2018 Nissan Leaf Quick Spin | Another fork stab into the light socket - Duration: 7:42.LAS VEGAS — Utility is about the least interesting reason for buying a new car.
There's no exhilaration in signing up for 60 months of financing on an appliance that
will never inspire passion.
There's no joy in looking forward to taking something for granted.
So, here's the second-generation 2018 Nissan Leaf — the all-electric future of ordinary.
Don't get excited.
No, really.
Don't.
Get.
Excited.
While much has evolved from the first- to second-generation Leaf, it's what hasn't changed
that's most important.
The Leaf, in form and function, is still an economy car — a five-door hatchback in a
world where the almost meaningless differences between a five-door hatchback and a five-door
crossover somehow matters.
People buy crossovers, and ignore the hatchbacks on dealer lots to get to them.
Nissan could have jacked the new Leaf up on its suspension, bolted on some off-roady-looking
all-season tires, added some cladding and called this thing an electric crossover.
Or even do what Chevy did with the Bolt EV and call it a crossover even though it clearly
is not.
At least some buyers would have been tempted by a "Leafinder" or "Rogue E" who otherwise
wouldn't consider a plain old Leaf.
So count that as a strategic marketing opportunity missed.
That in mind, and based on about 20 minutes of driving around Las Vegas on a steamy Wednesday
afternoon with three people (including a Nissan product nanny) in the car, there's plenty
to be impressed with about the new Leaf.
Our own John Beltz Snyder had greater exposure to the Leaf in Japan (albeit restricted to
Nissan's Tochigi proving grounds), but this is Autoblog's first taste of the U.S.-spec
Leaf.
The new Leaf is bigger than the first-generation car, roomier and vastly more sophisticated
in its appearance and appointments.
The general silhouette of the Leaf is still econobox, but there's nothing cheap in the
details.
On the sampled pre-production car, the paint was perfect, every plastic bit was perfectly
finished and every switch operated with the sort of precision that would be impressive
in a Gulfstream G650.
Let's hope all that quality will also be aboard the production cars.
Like the first Leaf, this second one is mostly engineered as a small, conventional front-drive
car.
That means the electric motor is in front driving the front wheels, unlike, say, the
BMW i3 that tucks the motor in behind the driver to drive the rear wheels.
Because of this layout, the Leaf still drives an awful lot like other front-drivers — the
front wheels are asked to do a lot, and the rears aren't doing much.
Considering the limited exposure to the Leaf on the billiard-table smooth I-515 between
Las Vegas and its suburb Henderson, there's not much that can be said about the Leaf's
handling.
But it feels OK.
For now.
Tweaks to the power delivery system have swollen the 2018 Leaf's synchronous AC motor from
the 2017 version's 107-horsepower and 187-pound feet of torque up to 147 horsepower and a
thick 236 pound-feet of torque.
Since electric motors produce consistent torque no matter how quickly they're turning, the
new Leaf feels much quicker than the outgoing model and delivers seamless thrust.
Nissan claims a curb weight of 3,405 pounds for the SL, and that is 175 pounds less than
what General Motors claims for the Chevy Bolt EV.
The Bolt's motor, however, is rated at 200 horsepower and 266 pound feet of torque.
The 2017 Bolt hits 60 miles per hour in around 6.5-seconds.
The 2017 Leaf does the same trick in a languid 10-plus seconds.
Let's guesstimate the 2018 Leaf's 0-60 time at just under 9.0 seconds.
Short of the high-end Tesla hot rods, the Bolt is likely to remain the choice of the
world's electro-boy racers.
Nissan claims 150 miles of range for the new Leaf under reasonable conditions.
That's better than the 107-mile stretch of the 2017 Leaf and tops the 124 miles Hyundai
claims for the Ioniq Electric, but well behind the Bolt's claimed 238-mile lope.
But Nissan promises that the 40-kWh lithium-ion battery pack at launch early next year will
be supplemented with a 60-kWh array that, do the math, will stretch range to 225 miles.
Supposedly the suspension is tuned tauter for North America than in Japan.
OK, fine.
But there's no way to evaluate that until the new Leaf is experienced on more challenging
roads.
That in mind, the 17-inch wheels the Leaf SL wore were wrapped in modest 215/50R17 low-rolling-resistance
rubber.
Any expectations of extreme cornering prowess are sure to prove misplaced.
So instead of driving engagement, the new Leaf is overstuffed with new technology.
Even the base $29,990 "S" model is equipped with an "E-pedal" system that modulates regenerative
and mechanical braking to allow virtually one-pedal operation as the car stops itself
when the driver's foot is off the accelerator pedal, just like the Bolt EV.
That Mattel has offered similar operation in various battery-powered Barbie Jeeps and
Corvettes for years wasn't noted in the press materials.
Moving up to the mainstream $32,490 SV model adds a navigation system to the seven-inch
center display screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, radar-based "intelligent"
cruise control and a phone quick charge port.
Atop that, a $2,200 "technology package" includes Nissan's new ProPilot semi-autonomous tech.
A top-of-the-line SL runs $36,200 and includes all the goodies, including blind spot warning,
lots of cameras, and ProPilot, which seemed to work okay for the mile or so we were able
to turn it on.
What's frustrating here is that while the agony of this rollout persists, there's still
reason to be suspicious that the electric car market is, in fact, a viable one.
Worldwide, electric cars represented a puny 0.2-percent of the total car market despite
such incentives as the $7,500 the United States government kicks back to those bold, brave
or batty enough to buy one.
It's hard to believe that this new Leaf will inspire a new wave of enthusiasm for electric
cars.
There's plenty of talk about mandating electric cars in France, China and California, and
there's probably been a half-dozen hyped-up announcements since you started reading this
sentence.
But sooner or later, buyers have to find electric cars so attractive that they'll dump their
internally combusted dreams solely based on the zappers' merits.
Only Tesla has drilled into the market consciousness to pull that trick off so far.
And that's with vehicles that, as good as they drive, are as much virtuous status symbols
for the wealthy as real cars.
Nope, we're not there yet.
American buyers are bound to show up at Nissan dealers, look at the $30,000+ plus price tag
on a loaded Leaf SL (even after the $7,500 bribe) and then walk over and buy a $31,710
top-of-the-line Rogue that has more room, drives great, will go about 400 miles between
fill-ups and refuels in a few minutes at any of America's 168,000 or so gas stations.
Whatever government mandates lie in the future, the new vehicle market is still millions of
people making individual purchasing decisions.
Decisions that usually include taking on a load of debt for a machine they're actually
excited to own for five, six or seven years.
Most electric cars simply aren't able to attract those buyers.
At least not yet.
And it seems doubtful that the new Leaf will change that.

The top five marketing trends for small businesses in 2018 - Duration: 11:15.The top five marketing trends of 2018 Marketing is about two things.
Psychology and economics.
And while at its core the human psychology never changes, the factors affecting it do.
And so do the economics.
Today, we're counting down the top five marketing trends of 2018.
These trends are also our prediction for how the seemingly chaotic and bizarre world of
marketing and advertising will act in 2018.
Let's get started.
Trend number five: Media will continue to get even more expensive.
That's right folks.
While we wish we had good news for you, the truth of the matter is that competition is
heating up on almost every advertising platform, especially online.
Whoever you're targeting and trying to reach, there will more and more advertisers willing
to pay the top-dollar to reach them, and to show them their messages.
More advertisers not only drive up prices for media inventory, but also drive the market
to saturation.
Which means your audience will continue to get less and less impressed, and interested,
in what you have to say.
In other words, if you don't change anything in your marketing mix of market, message and
media… your cost of acquiring a new lead and a new customer will go up by as much as
forty percent by the end of 2018.
Trend number four: Giants will continue to get bigger…
2016 and 2017 have been years of big ticket acquisitions and mergers.
From Whatsapp and Instagram being acquired by Facebook, to Whole Foods being swallowed
whole by Amazon, there has been plenty of consolidation and aggregation across industries.
And that trend will continue in 2018.
The big retailers and e-commerce giants will continue their unhinged expansion plans…
and that's scary news for any small business owner.
They have the economies of scale that you, the entrepreneur can never have… and they
have low-interest capital ranging in Billions in pure cash.
Which you most likely do not have.
So if you are a small or medium enterprise owner, the competition is going to get even
more stiff than it has been.
And since customer loyalty does not exist for commodities and most products, there's
someone else out there with a deeper pocket… who's completely happy to undercut you by
another 10%.
In other words… the race to the bottom will accelerate.
While it's great from a consumer's point of view, it's utterly devastating from a
small or medium business owner's point of view.
Trend number three: Commoditization of everything from products to advertising media itself
With the rise of programattic advertising platforms, even ad space or inventory has
become a commodity.
Of all the products in the world, attention is one of the most expensive commodities there
is to buy or attract… and it will continue to get even more expensive regardless of who
your audience is.
Of course, all the mass-manufactured products are already following a race to the bottom.
But this is as much good news as it is bad…
If you are a small or medium business owner or leader… if you are an entrepreneur, then
buying adspace has never been easier.
No longer do you have to sign month long contracts with four, five, or even six figure minimum
commitments.
No longer do you have to deal with pesky middlemen.
No longer do you need to worry about wasting your money on a failed marketing message or
medium.
Today, you can test an ad for as little as five dollars.
And you can stop running any ad with the click of a button.
You don't deal with middlemen, and no one's driving up prices artificially.
In fact, on SiteScout alone… which is a buyer-side remnant inventory aggregator, you
can buy billions of impressions for your ads each day.
In multiple formats and sizes.
And you can test your ads for as low as one dollar, if that's what you want.
Your only competition is other advertisers.
And it's a purely capitalistic and holistic competition.
If your ad can outperform an industry leader's, or a giant's ads by 1x… then you can reasonably
expect to pay fifty percent less money for your traffic than them.
Regardless of how their total budget stacks up against yours.
The playing field is as level as it can be.
Trend number two: Rise of the small indie brands is here
While customer loyalty based on supply economics alone is dead… given that there are dozens
if not hundreds of suppliers for just about everything they can buy… customer loyalty
is not only well and alive when it comes to brands, but also on the rise for independent
brands.
You don't have to be a giant industrialist anymore to be able to create a brand.
In the modern world, the backbone of your brand can quite as well be a niche website
with a consistent and regular content production schedule.
In fact, the phrase "Youtube money" comes to mind.
A six year old kid who unboxes little gizmos and toys on video everyday just made north
of six million dollars due to his enormous fan following.
And that followership is neither a fluke, nor an accident.
Influencers and brands have cropped up in all kinds of industries and niches.
New industry leaders have not only emerged using modern content publishing platforms
like Youtube and Wordpress… but have also created brands around their passion and work.
And there are only two things that are common across the board with these influencers and
"smart brands".
First, their consistency when it comes to publishing new content.
No matter what media and platform combination they choose, they start publishing regularly
and they keep at it consistently.
And second, they don't do "metoo" campaign.
Their products are unique, and their offers are unique.
Not something that you can pick up on Amazon for a fifth of the price.
And they do get takers.
They attract the highest quality buyers.
People who are the least price-conscious, and most loyal to their brands.
If you are a small or medium business owner or leader, this is your shot at redeeming
and elevating your business beyond not just your local or immediate competitors, but also
at insulting yourself and your brand from the race-to-the-bottom economics.
Trend number one: Small business acquisitions will rise exponentially over the next decade
Large businesses getting acquired by other large businesses or merging together into
one entity is nothing new.
It has happened for ages, and will continue to happen.
What is new is how many small businesses… established and profitable, but small businesses
are available for sale.
And how cheap they really are.
The P/E ratio… or the price to earnings ratio for an average company on the stock
market varies between eighteen and thirty, if not much more.
Which means that a stock that you buy for $1000 produces thirty-three to fifty-five
dollars a year in appreciation and dividend combined.
That's roughly 3% to 6& return annualized, considering only the purely profit-generation
metrics for any given company.
But, the same proportions just don't hold true when the scale is much smaller.
A small business producing less than one million dollars a year can be had for a P/E (or price
to earnings ratio) of 2.25 to 2.5.
In other words, you can acquire a small corporation producing a million dollars a year in profits
can be had for as little as 2.25 million dollars.
The reason for this disparity is because the small business scene is a buyers' market.
There are far too many small businesses for sale on the market, but there are very few
takers.
Industrial buyers, private equity firms and big companies have no interest in buying businesses
that tiny.
From their perspective, it just doesn't make sense, since the numbers are so small.
And then there are the demographics.
Baby boomers are now retiring.
There are roughly sixty-five million of them…
passing down their business assets to only 44 million people in the following generation.
And given that the current business trends in America are leading younger people to abandon
capitalism as a core-philosophy, it's no surprise that only one in thirteen small businesses
that gets listed for sale ends up getting acquired within two years.
Which means… this is an excellent time for you to grow your business through acquisitions.
It has never been easier or cheaper to acquire a small business along with all their assets…
including customers and client contracts apart from equipment, real estate, furniture and
furnishings.
So, if you have a competitor who's been killing you in the marketplace for a while…
talk to them and see if they are open to selling their organization altogether.
Chances are, their answer will surprise you.

Success of the 'me-media' era - Duration: 2:30.Rapid changes including smartphones and easy internet access led to a surge in one-person
media.
While the industry is still in its infancy here in Korea, its growing fast due to its
instant content creation and ability for viewers to interact with content.
Won Jung-hwan provides a closer look into the fast rising "ME" media.
User created content has been around for several years, but the latest trend within this area
has been the increase in live-streaming.
Viewers can interact directly with live-streamers, asking questions or making requests such as
asking the live-streamer to sing a particular song.
This so-called 'il-in media', or 'me-media' is growing by 30 percent each year in Korea.
Expert Yoo Jae-hyuck, author of the book 'Era of Me-media: Global Stars', explains why this
type of user created content is becoming so popular.
(KOREAN)
"If you look at YouTube video stars, they can approach viewers and satisfy their needs
much more easily and quickly than a traditional live broadcasting service through live-streaming
shows."
Unlike traditional mass media platforms,… 'me-media' creators can produce personalized
content, and share and interact in real-time with their viewers who can participate and
influence the direction of the content.
This 'Me-media' content can often be on very specific, personalized topics, which aren't
often seen on mainstream media.
They can also be ridiculously popular.
One Korean content producer, Benzz, eats more than 5000 kilocalories of food during each
episode of his show, and has nearly 2 million subscribers on YouTube.
But the growth of 'me-media' has led to some negative issues.
One major problem is the lengths some 'me-media' producers will go to in order to attract more
viewers.
(KOREAN)
"As everyone can post or create videos, there is a lot of inappropriate content on 'me-media'
platforms.
Some creators try to increase their number of viewers or subscribers by taking off their
clothes."
'Me-media' has been attracting much attention in the Korean media contents industry in recent
years,... with a potential audience size larger than that attainable by traditional media
such as television.
However, the market itself is still in its early stages in Korea, and there is a need
for more distributing high-quality content for the further growth of 'me-media'.
