Hello. In the Education State we want every young person who comes through our
doors to enjoy their time in our care, to leave our kindergartens and classrooms
each day more confident prepared and optimistic than when they arrived. With
the right support every child has the ability to thrive. Special needs
professional development is about making sure you're ready to help your students
with additional needs to reach their full potential. The majority of your
colleagues have completed this work and speak highly of the skills and
strategies that it's given them. This professional development will help you
to understand the additional needs your students may have and it will give you
practical advice on how to provide a positive environment that helps those
students to do their best. These are critical skills for teachers in the
Education State. I'd like to thank the Victorian Institute of Teaching for
providing you with this important professional development opportunity and
I'd like to thank all of you for everything you do to help young
Victorians look forward to a bright future. Thank you.
How many Victorian teachers consider themselves equipped to deal with special
needs learners? To support the Victorian Government's Special Needs Plan to
improve access to and participation in learning for children with special needs
VIT set up the special needs framework in 2015. As part of this framework we
asked all teachers renewing their registration to undertake special needs
professional development by the end of 2017 eighty six thousand six hundred and
twenty nine or 93% of renewing teachers completed this requirement in the first
year and fourteen thousand seven hundred thirty in the second year a group of
teachers who completed the PD were also asked to write a four hundred and fifty
word professional reflection the responses from teachers in their
professional reflection indicated just how much they learned and benefited from
completing special needs PD since completing the PBE Alice Fennessy said
I've begun to use more visual prompts within my practice I've also begun to be
more mindful of physical teaching environments and how to augment these to
become more effective learning spaces for my ASD students Diane Aldred is also
putting her learning into practice she said I aim to keep a journal of
observations listing the students responses and behavior and identifying
the cause of their anxiety then I'll take note of what strategies are tried
and what worked best for each student other teachers spoke to us about what
they learned learning more specific things like getting real detail on on
how to use schedules and timers and you know planning so using all these quiet
zones and just different things like that like real really down to find nitty
gritty that that was really good like you
not many places you can get that. we can go to or books up having it in the
course this made it so much easier so that was great. it was much broader than
I thought and lots of things have happened and one should keep updated. You
never know when you're gonna have to deal with this in your very own life. I
would like to use a lot of the strategies that simply needs adjustment
like really understanding what the child's needs and looking at how they
work at all different levels so I can see you might be the way that I'm
providing them listen to them it might be how they react to them and then and
by that changing what I need to change to make sure that the child gets the
most out of their stay in the classroom I discovered the importance of
individualized education programs that cater for physical learning and
developmental disabilities for these teachers and no doubt for many of the
thousands of teachers who have completed special needs PD previously this has
been really instructive and a tremendous boost to their future teaching practice
learning about motivators you know the term they used a lot so motivators
around each student so you know special interesting so things that would
motivate you know an individual child someone with Asperger's or on the
spectrum and learning what each individual motivator was so that really
helped me because you know course every child and every team has got a different
one that's a great a great tool that I've found that I never did that before
and I do it now these examples show the benefits for
teachers incorporating special needs PD in their professional learning I would
advise people to do some updating it didn't take me a long time but it
rekindled thoughts which I think are valuable to all teachers you know I've
got friends with it you're gonna have autism and Asperger's and you just think
oh well do I really need to do this extra study but yeah it was a real
eye-opener for me so now the fantastic I I really enjoyed it and learn so much
with such a short course really.

NFL Picks for Chiefs vs. Rams: Todd Gurley Prop Among Best Bets | Heavy.com
To wrap up Week 11 of the NFL season, we get a potential Super Bowl preview as the Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) head to take on the Los Angeles Rams (9-1).
This game was originally slated to be played in Mexico City, but poor field conditions resulted in the location being changed.
While the matchup features two of the highest-scoring offenses in the NFL, there are quite a few unique betting options that stand out in this game.
Oddsmakers believe it'll be a close game when MVP candidates Patrick Mahomes and Todd Gurley square off on Monday Night Football, with the Rams slated as three-point favorites.
The total is set at a lofty 63 points and it wouldn't be surprising if the over winds up as the popular bet.
We're going to take a look at a few of the top bets for this game, including prop bets and a bet on the actual game itself.
With that said, taking either side with the spread or the over/under doesn't seem incredibly appealing, so I took a different route for my game bet.
Let's dive into it with a few props first, starting with one on Gurley.
*Note: All prop bets/odds are from Intertops.
Todd Gurley Over 148.
5 Rushing & Receiving Yards (-115).
This may very well be my favorite bet on the board.
When I saw the number for Todd Gurley's rushing and receiving yards at 148.5, I assumed the odds would be at -130 or -140.
The Chiefs boast one of the worst defenses against opposing running backs in the NFL.
They've allowed 1,080 rushing yards on 212 carries, 75 receptions and 733 receiving yards along with 15 total touchdowns to the position.
Regardless of whether or not the Chiefs win this game, Gurley is going to have a big day and this is a home run spot for him.
Don't be surprised if he clears 125-135 rushing yards alone.
Travis Kelce +5.5 Receiving Yards vs.
Robert Woods (-115).
Although Robert Woods is in a fine spot against the Chiefs and should see his fair share of work, there's something key that stands out here.
With Cooper Kupp now out for the year due to a torn ACL, it means Woods is expected to handle slot receiver duties.
He took on this same role in Weeks 7 and 8, catching five passes in both games for 70 and 78 yards.
As Rotoworld's Evan Silva detailed, the Chiefs have fared well against slot receivers also.
The likes of Julian Edelman (4/51/1), Jarvis Landry (6/50), Tyler Boyd (3/27) and Emmanuel Sanders (4/57 and 5/45) have all been held in check.
On the opposite side, Travis Kelce is in an absolute smash spot.
He's a favorite target of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Rams have had struggles against opposing tight ends.
On the season, they've allowed 45 receptions for 624 yards and three scores to the position.
On the season, Kelce has seen at least five targets in every game and seven or more in eight of 10.
he should top the 100-yard mark with ease.
Travis Kelce to Score a Touchdown (-133).
All of the wonderful things I said about Kelce above all stand true here as well.
Technically, I could have just put "ditto" and moved along, but I like to think I'm better than that.
Kelce has caught 19 passes in the last three games and found the end zone three times over that span.
For good measure, the Chiefs tight end has five red zone targets in that three-game stretch, so it's not as though Mahomes isn't looking his way often.
Kelce is going to receive plenty of red zone looks and in a game projected to have quite a few points, that bodes well for his chances to add to his touchdown total.
Josh Reynolds Over 35.
5 Receiving Yards (-120).
There's a good chance most people are going to look past this bet, simply because it's not your typical big-game player prop.
But Reynolds improved in his second of two games holding down the fort for Kupp a few weeks back.
After catching just one pass for 19 yards in the first game, he pulled in 3-of-5 targets for 42 yards and two scores the next game.
I probably wouldn't take this bet if it were any random game, but I'm projecting a lot of points here and a whole lot of total yards from both teams.
If that proves to be the case, then Reynolds should have no problem picking up 4-5 catches for 50 yards at least.
Game Pick: 7-Point Teaser on Chiefs +10 and Over 57 (-130).
There are quite a few teams where I'm not a huge fan of either side of a bet.
But I love targeting specific spots in games, and this is one of them.
While the Chiefs currently sit at +3 with an over/under at 63, both of those are pretty tough betting options.
Although I can see Kansas City winning this game outright, I'm a big fan of taking the seven-point teaser and then grabbing the Chiefs and the over.
A total of 63 points is a big number, and essentially if these two teams hit one drought in the game, then it could be in danger.
Personally, I'd recommend eating the odds at -130 to get the Chiefs up to +10 and take the over 57.
I can easily see a final score of 35-28 or 34-27.
Even a final of 31-28 would get us the over in this spot.

Apply your favorite base coat first.
I'm using CND sticky base coat now.
I will use these two nail polish colors
to make a good match with
white wedding dress.
They will bring out soft yet classy nail design.
This classy gray color is a 'Greycian Goddess' from L'oreal
and this soft light pink color
is a 'Be There in a Prosecco' from O.P.I.
I will apply gray color only on my ring finger nail.
I will wear 2 coats for today's polishes.
I just finished with applying 2 coats of polishes.
Now, I am waiting for my nails to get dry
for a couple minutes.
While I am waiting,
I put some liquid latex on my fingers.
Ok, let's play with stamp plate!
I'm gonna use this
blue gray colored nail stamping polish
to match with my ring finger color.
I will use a clear stamper today
since I need to see exactly where
my image is landing on my nails.
For my middle finger,
I stamp this image on my nail
I repeat the same image on my index finger nail.
This image is a perfect size for my pinky nail.
All images on this plate have pretty thick lines
so I won't cover my whole nail with stamping
but leave some space
to show this beautiful creamy pink color.
Now let me stamp this flower image for my thumb nail.
Now it is time to attach some
sparkling crystal rhinestones.
I'm gonna use 3 different top coats today.
The first one is a great top coat for stamping nails
and it prevents stamped images from smearing.
I will apply rhinestones on my middle and index finger nails.
I want my ring finger nail to look fancy
so I will apply this hologram powder
from Born Pretty onto my nail
to give more shine on the background color.
I apply same top coat over the hologram powder
and before it gets dry,
I place some crystal
and caviar beads diagonally on the nail.
The second top coat that I will use today is
Seche Vite
and I apply this for all of my nails
to seal crystal rhinestones.
Now take liquid latex off
and clean my fingers with 100% pure acetone.
The last top coat is a matte top coat
and it will give my nails a softer look.
This top coat instantly transforms my nails into a matte
finish right after I apply.
I shouldn't touch
crystal beads with this matte brush
so carefully apply without touching crystals.
I love this matte finish with today's design.
How is it?
The matte finish gives different feelings from the shiny finish, right?
The matte finish is definitely a good choice
for today's bridal wedding nail art.
I focus on wedding themed nail art today
but I think it is also good to wear casually.

How do I clean my oven?
Before cleaning the inside of your oven
always ensure the oven is switch off and completely cold
remove all trays and grills from the oven before you start
the oven can be clean using water and washing off liquid
fill up the jug with warm water rather than cold and pour the content into the oven
add a small amount of liquid soap into the oven and turn it on at 60 degree celcius for 1 hour
Once this is completed, turn off the oven
Open the oven door and leave it to cool before removing the liquid with a sponge
After cleaning, a dry cloth can be used to remove any residual moisture
When finished, put the grills and trays back into the oven again

credit card. So the card that we're going to be looking at is we're going to be
looking at the card ending in three six seven four and I'll go ahead and click
on that and log in to my account here. Okey-dokey so we're in the account and
I'm going to as you can see here currently my current cashback bonus
available is ninety dollars and 64 cents. And I'm gonna show you how much of that

see this I definitely want to make sure to make it very apparent that there are
no fees charged here. There are there's no interest charged and as the Year
continues you're going to see that I'm gonna accumulate quite a bit of cash
back but I'm not gonna be paying any interest which means I pay my statement
off in full. I actually pay my bill maybe once a week so I don't wait for the end
of the month to pay it. I pay it as I go and of course I'm only making purchases
on my credit card that I would normally make anyway. I'm not doing anything extra
and I use my credit card my Discover card instead of using my debit card
which is how I'm able to accumulate so much cash back. So with Discover card you
actually get five percent you get you have the ability to earn five percent
cash back in certain categories. And so Discover Card actually has already
released what you're going to be able to earn 5% cash back on for 2019. As a
matter of fact I'm gonna go ahead and pull that up for you guys
give me one second open a new tab here and then I'll search for Discoverer 2019
cashback calendar. Okay sweet so it all it automatically populated there and
I'll go ahead and click on discover five percent cashback calendar just to kind
of show you guys as well as myself what's up ahead. Okay so as you can see
here for 2019 the first quarter will be grocery stores. So you'll be able to earn
five percent cash back on grocery stores. The second quarter will be gas stations
uber lyft I don't do a lot of uber and lyft but you'll get five percent
cashback on gas station purchases. And then in the third quarter you'll get
restaurants. You'll have the ability to earn five percent cash back on
restaurants and then the fourth quarter of 2019 you'll be able to get five
percent cash back on your Amazon purchases which is kind of the same
thing right now. So guys this is really cool believe it or not there's
not a lot to keep up with with these types of credit cards as far as the five
percent cashback. And discover has made it a lot easier because now you know for
the entire year which you're gonna get five percent cashback on for each
category. So it's really easy to accumulate a lot of cash back and
believe it or not you're gonna be able to get more cash back this way than you
would if you used a credit card that let's say you're getting one percent
cash back or or even 1.5% cash back. So that's how I was really able to
accumulate a lot of cash back and like I said I'm gonna document my journey as
the year goes on in regards to getting cash back. So I just want to show you one
more time real quickly here no interest charge no fees charge there's not going

What Mislintat has done for Arsenal fans to be excited for the transfer window - Duration: 7:07.
Concerns over a lack of transfer budget at Arsenal are nothing new. From the moment the plans to move from Highbury to the Emirates were given the green light, the purse strings have been tightened and Arsenal have struggled to match the financial clout of their rivals
Obviously the move from Highbury was supposed to be so the Gunners could enjoy the same sort of riches of Europe's other top clubs, but it came at a time when Russian and oil money totally changed the football landscape
It's been 12 years now since Arsenal played their first game at the Emirates and as we head towards the January transfer window, once again all the chatter is that there will not be much money to spend on improving the squad
Despite having an owner worth an estimated £6.5 billion, the self-financing model at the club will continue
"We have a self-sustaining business model at this club," said new managing director Vinai Venkatesham in October
"That means all the investments we make on the pitch are funded by the revenues we generate off the pitch
"And we're really confident we can be successful with this model. The ambition we have for this club is completely possible to be achieved in the business model that we've got
" In recent estimates made by the Arsenal Supporters Trust, the club is forecast to have around £40 million available to spend next summer - the sort of cash that Manchester City have no problem splashing out on one squad player
The AST believe Arsenal are heading for a £70m loss for the 2018/19 season (before any player sales) mainly down to the lack of Champions League football and a wage bill that is running at unprecedented levels
The new sponsorship deals with Adidas and Emirates will kick in from the start of next season which will ease restrictions slightly, but the fact is Arsenal simply don't have the financial clout to be able to compete with the likes of City, Chelsea or even Liverpool
So this must be a major concern right? Well, no actually. Obviously everyone wants as much money to spend as possible, but it shouldn't be seen as the be all and end all
The truth is, Arsenal have never been a club that has gone out and just thrown around cash during a transfer window without looking to balance the books
If you go back and look for examples of when Arsenal have ended a window having spent £40m more than they have brought in, you won't find many
The summer of 2016 stands out as a bit of a one-off in that regard. The fact is, if Arsenal are going to stay competitive right now and build something special under Unai Emery, they just need to be clever in the transfer market
It's tough, but there are excellent deals still out there that can certainly take the team up a level
Look at the summer just gone, Lucas Torreira arrived for around £27m and Matteo Guendouzi for just £7m
For under £35m Arsenal brought in two top quality midfielders who have vastly improved the squad at the Emirates
This is why Sven Mislintat was brought in as head of recruitment. The work he did in Germany saw Borussia Dortmund go toe to toe with Bayern Munich and for a time they can out on top, winning back to back Bundesliga titles
Working with a budget that was far lower than that being splashed around at the Allianz Arena, Mislintat did some wonderful business and allowed Jurgen Klopp to work his magic on what turned into a special group of players
Mislintat, or Diamond Eye as he became known in Germany, is arguably the most important man at Arsenal now
If the club are to close the gap on Manchester City and get back competing regularly in the Champions League again, he has to get the vast majority of his transfer business right
There is only so much Emery and his coaching staff can do on the training ground
And the signs so far have been good. What Mislintat has already done at Arsenal has been very impressive
The capture of Torreira shows that with expert scouting, top quality can be signed at a fraction of the cost of what others are paying
The same goes for Guendouzi. Unfortunately injury has stopped us having a good look at Konstantinos Mavropanos this season, but the young Greek centre-back - Mislintat's first signing after arriving at Arsenal - showed in flashes towards the end of last season how much potential he has
Mavropanos cost under £2m but the performance he produced at Old Trafford towards the end of last season was one of a multi-million pound centre-back
All the noises coming out of Arsenal right now suggests that the January window will pass relatively quietly and that the focus is very much on strengthening again in the summer
It's clear that they will have to do that without the riches on offer elsewhere, especially if the club misses out on the top four once again
But with Mislintat and his exceptional scouting network now in place, there should be confidence and excitement amongst the Arsenal fanbase that Diamond Eye can still do what's needed to take the squad up a level

A few years ago, Kyrie Irving was making a promise to Cleveland Cavaliers fans all over that he wouldn't leave.
He pledged to not be like LeBron James, who left the Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat at the time.
Although LeBron eventually made his way back into Cleveland, Irving quickly changed his stance on his statement of staying forever faithful to the Cavaliers organization.
Kyrie wanted out, but LeBron wanted him to stay.
The situation was very tricky.
Kyrie Irving felt some sort of betrayal when the Cavs' re-signed LeBron.
Before 'The King' came back to Cleveland, the Cavs' were Kyrie's team.
But the second LeBron made his way back, Irving took a backseat to the team's new leader.
And for that, Irving wanted out and spent his 2017 offseason begging for a trade.
Although the entire situation is in the past, it still gets brought up from time to time.
Recently, LeBron James discussed the situation with "The Athletic." LeBron explained his decision to leave Cleveland for the second time and mentioned the trading of Kyrie Irving being one of a few reasons of why he made that choice to pack up and go to Los Angeles.
Despite the relationship between James and Irving going sour after a while, LeBron still wanted Irving to be his teammate, and the Cavaliers still granted Kyrie's wishes.
And as LeBron continues to discuss the entire situation, Kyrie has a different stance on everything.
Not that he doesn't feel any differently, he just simply doesn't want to talk about it anymore.
Kyrie Is Moving on from Cleveland.
"I think I'm done commenting on anything Cleveland." That was Kyrie's simple response when the topic got brought up for what feels like the millionth time.
Kyrie Irving has been ready to turn to a new chapter since he's been traded.
Even though he expected to hear about Cleveland so many times during his first year of being with the Boston Celtics, at this point, he's getting sick of the topic.
It's been well over a year now since Irving has joined the Celtics, and it's been more than a few months since LeBron has joined the Lakers.
There's really no reason to keep re-visiting the topic.
Especially when Kyrie Irving will no longer comment on his former situation.
Irving is a part of the Celtics and plans to be for what he hopes to be a long time.

that whole process, that whole conversation,
that whole discussion is igniting your brain
to process the things that you know about Jesus.
And how do we interpret it?
We say, well, let's look at other teaching of Jesus
that's not in parable form, that's more clear.
Let's look at how Jesus lived his life and who he welcomed
and didn't, and okay, I'm starting to,
and that whole process is good for you.
And at the end, you can say,
"So do you know what the birds mean now?"
And you say, "Nope."
And you're still a better disciple
than before you started the discussion.
You're able to fit things together better.
Part of the process of parables is it ignites a conversation
that's healthy for your spiritual development.
Remember, disciples ask questions.
It's not disciples have all the answers.
Disciples go to Jesus with their questions,
and the process of trying to figure it out
in the context of the teaching of Jesus is so good for us.

'Multiple' victims in active shooter situation at Chicago hospital - Duration: 9:02.
Four people are dead, including a police officer, after a gunman shot his ex-fiancee and two others at Mercy Hospital in Chicago on Monday
The 32-year-old gunman and his ex-fiancee Dr Tamara O'Neal are among the dead. Chicago police officer Samuel Jimenez, 28, was also killed in the shooting
Jimenez had only just completed his probationary period. The second woman who was shot was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition and died hours later from her injuries
Her name has not been released.Witnesses said the gunman shot O'Neal, an ER doctor who was reporting for work, in the hospital's parking lot around 3
15pm. Scroll down for video O'Neal and the gunman had reportedly planned to wed on October 27, but she called off the wedding in September
James Gray said he saw a man and woman talking to one another in the parking lot when the man suddenly pulled out a gun
'The gentleman turned around and shot three times in the chest,' Gray told WLS. 'Once she fell to the ground, he turned around and shot her three more times'
Gray said the man and woman, who had been wearing hospital scrubs, had not been fighting before the shooting occurred
'They were walking and talking and he just turned around and started shooting,' he said
It wasn't a heated exchange.' . The gunman shot another woman, who was also critically injured, as well as the Chicago police officer
He also shot at a second police officer, but the bullet struck his holster and embedded into the gun
He was not injured. Gray said the scene inside the hospital was 'mass chaos'.'Once he entered, he just started shooting at random,' Gray told NBC Chicago
'It looked like he was turning and pointing at people at random.' Witness Hector Aditia was watching television in the hospital's waiting room when he saw the gunman shoot the woman in blue scrubs
Aditia, who witnessed the shooting from a hospital window, said he saw the woman fall to the ground
Officers exchanged fire with the gunman, who reloaded and again shot the woman on the ground
He then came inside the hospital and opened fire again. Aditia said the gunman reloaded twice, firing '32 bullets each' time
'He was shooting like a maniac,' Aditia told the Chicago Tribune. 'And he obviously knows how to shoot because he was holding the gun with both hands
' 'It's just a messed up situation and I was trying to help out as much as I could,' he added
'Get people out of the way of the windows. Because he could have easily just aimed at us too
The gunman died inside the hospital. It remains unknown if he was shot by an officer or died of a self-inflicted gunshot
Officer Jimenez was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died hours later from his injuries
'It's with profound sadness that we share the death of PO Samuel Jimenez from tonight's senseless active shooter incident,' tweeted Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi
'Please pray for his family, his fellow officers & the entire Department.' Fellow witness Maria Correa told CBS Chicago she heard multiple shots and saw blood in one of the hospital's entrances
Police did a 'methodical search' of the hospital and 15 ambulances arrived at the scene
A hospital employee said a notice came over Mercy's public address system telling everyone in the hospital to lock their doors
Nigary Thomspon, an employee of the hospital's family clinic, heard eight or nine shots
Employees and patients at the clinic locked the doors and hid in the back. 'I am scared as hell
I have never been so scared, I hear of shootings going on every day at people's workplaces but not where I work,' Thomspon told WLS
'This was very close to me. That could have been us back there and if any bullets had pierced the wall we all would have been hurt
' The hospital was later 'partially evacuated' and people were put on Chicago Transit Authority buses while officers searched Mercy
