Today we'll take a look at Mastermind Creations Seraphicus Prominon!
This figure is based on the Nova Prime character. And as you can see he comes with two boxes.
This one comes with the figure and this one comes with the trailer.
The basic figure comes with a small box, it opens with a magnetic door.
On the back side of the box you see him in all his modes.
On the top side of the box you see Nova Prime in his robot mode.
Some warnings on the bottom side of the box. This figure is for ages 16+ !
Nothing special on the sides of the box.
And this is the box of his trailer. You see a nice image of Nova Prime here.
It also opens with a magnetic door. On the back side of the box you see him in all his modes.

- Hello from me as well. Before we start with the figure
I will tell you that I have placed the Reprolabels stickers on him.
The sticker sheets are two. As you can see, almost all of them have been placed.
As for his accessories, he comes with this pistol. This bit here can rotate.
His storage place is on here.
His main vehicle comes with these two swords. They have stickers as you can see.
The stickers gives them nice details.
Unfortunately you cannot store these swords on the vehicle mode so we will leave them aside.
So let's see now where the stickers have been placed on him.
We will start with the vehicle and then with the trailer.
You can connect them by putting this peg in this hole here.
As for the vehicle... Stickers have been placed here.
All these orange bits that you see are stickers. This silver bit here is a sticker.
These here on the back. So these are the stickers for the vehicle mode.
As for his trailer... These bits here are stickers.
Here on the top. This is a sticker.

- Here is Nova Prime next to a Generations figure, voyager class Roadbuster.
As you can see Nova Prime has big vehicle mode!
- Shall we see him without his trailer as well? To see the difference.
- As far as I can see Nova Prime is a little bit bigger than Roadbuster.
- So, Nova Prime has twelve wheels! He rolls fine. His main vehicle cannot steer much.
Except if you put it like this...and it will look like this. And again it won't tab securely.
His steering direction is minimal. So let's transform now Nova Prime.
Remove the trailer. And we will start with the main figure.
First, try to disconnect this piece from here.
And bring it up like this.
As you can see, these are his arms, you need to be careful here...
...how you will take them out...
Once you've done it, here on the wheel, there is a mechanism, I don't know if you can see it from the camera.
This mechanism must be rotated and go to the other side. Like this. And bring the arm outwards.
Now you can extend the arm. Do the same thing to the other side as well.
Bring this down, rotate the wheel outwards. Extend the arm. Nicely done.
Bring this bit down. Bring this bit out as well. And now we will work with the legs.
Open these panels. Disconnect the legs and fold them out.
Fold out the other leg as well. Bring the feet up.
Open these pieces, from both sides. And now close these panels.
And this piece will fill this space here. Fold this bit and the chest will sit on here.
Bring this bit down and it will tab in here. Rotate the head.
Rotate the arms to the correct side. Bring these bits up.
And now we will work on his backpack. Close these bits inwards.
And these pegs will connect in here. The instructions say to keep the knee-pads down.
Personally, I like to bring them up so they will look better.
And Nova Prime's head just popped-out!
And Core, as they call him, is ready in his robot mode.
So here is Core in his robot mode. Let me show you his headsculpt.
He has very nice headsculpt! It doesn't have light-piping, his eyes are painted.
Unfortunately his head sometimes is loose, now I see it is tight.
It depends how it will rotate. Before I show you his articulation I will show you his stickers.
Stickers have been placed over here. From both sides. Here on his shoulders.
These silver bits are stickers, the rest of them we already saw them in his vehicle mode.
And as you can see he doesn't have very big backpack. It is very satisfying.
So let's see his articulation now. His head is on a ball-joint so it has a nice range of motion.
It can look up and if you use this joint he can look completely up. He can look down, left and right.
His arms rotate 180 degrees....360 degrees. They move up until here.
They rotate at this point. They also rotate at this point as well. They bend at the elbow.
There is also wrist rotation.
The four fingers can open as one piece and the thumb is on a ball-joint but it doesn't have big range of motion.
There is also waist rotation.
The leg can move forward until here. Can move backwards, up and down, bends at the knee, rotates at this point.
And the foot can move a little bit left and right, up and down because of the transformation.
Oh, also this is a sticker over here. So let's see how he holds his weapons.
His hand has this space here so there's no fear of dropping it down...
...you put it in here and as you can see, even with his hand opened he can hold it steadily!
He can also hold his swords perfectly fine.
Come on...
Also, his swords glow in the dark! I will try to close the lights so you can see it.
You see how they glow now! ^_^ Let me close this light as well.
Like this...now it seems much better!
Also, the storage place for his swords... He has...I don't know if you can see it from the camera...
He has some holes in the shape of his swords.
Now that I put the stickers on the swords they became thicker so they cannot fit in here.
Without the stickers, they fit perfectly fine!
So at the moment I cannot put them in, I tried, and the result was this:
So I won't try again to put them in there. So let's see a size comparison now.
- And here we have Nova Prime next to a deluxe class figure, Generations Drift.
And next to a voyager class figure, Generations Sandstorm.
As you can see, Nova Prime is a voyager class figure.
- So let's prepare the trailer now, as you understand the trailer becomes the armor of Nova Prime.
Let me put him aside. First, remove the pistol. Remove his sword as well.
Open this piece from here.
And we will try to disconnect this piece from here, it tabs here and here.
So you need to disconnect these bits to bring out the whole panel.
Like this. Once you've done it, bring this piece up and fold out this piece from here.

This piece will come down, like this. And this piece will fold like this and it will tab here.
To secure it, bring out these pegs and connect them in here.
Once you've done it, open these pieces from here. And open the trailer completely, like this.
If you want, you can store the sword in here. And this is the armor of Nova Prime.
Very impressive. Now, how to place it on the figure...
First we will start with the feet. They tab in here.
Open these bits from here to free the boots.
This piece will open and as you can see it has these thrusters here,
they can move, I can show it now that it is easier.
And here is where you need to bring up the knee-pads. If you have the knee-pads down, bring them up.
And this piece will wrap the leg. It doesn't have much space so it's not so easy to do it.
Like this. And now close this panel. Do the same thing to the other side as well.
Once you put the boots...
...here on the back, it has these pieces. Take them out and they will tab...
...you see it has these pegs here, they will tab in here.
They give more bulk on the thighs of Nova Prime.
Now the arms. Disconnect them from here.
It has this peg here, it will tab in here.
Something important here. The instructions say to leave the hand as it is.
But because internally the fingers will be visible, what I like to do, and it seems better, is to rotate the hand 180 degrees
and then place the armor. And now it looks way better. Do the same thing to the other side as well.
Take these pieces out and connect them on the sides of the arms.
I am sorry for the close shots but it's a big figure and it's a little bit hard to control it.
I am trying to do my best!
Take these grey pieces from here.
They also have two pegs that will tab on the top side of the shoulders.
You can put your finger underneath to push it a little bit.
Nicely done. Let me make some space to take out his central armor.
It has four holes here and it tabs over here. To place the chest-armor, open these bits.
Bring this bit up. And all this piece will tab over here.
Once it's ready close these bits to secure the chest-armor.
Then, take out this piece. It will tab in here.
Finally, his helmet. Open it from here.
Place the helmet and connect this piece again. As I had told you his head becomes loose sometimes.
It's not only to my figure, I have seen it to other's people as well.
I think it's a general quality control issue of the mold. And Nova Prime is ready in his robot mode.
So let's see his stickers in this mode. The Autobot symbol is a sticker.
These two here are stickers. These two here are stickers. On the knees.
These are stickers as well, we saw them in the trailer mode. All the oranges here on the wings are stickers.
On the back side of the legs, these are stickers. On the back side of the wings as well.
As for his articulation...generally it is the same as with his robot mode.
The only difference is on his new hands. The fingers have one joint and they move individually.
The thumb has the same articulation as his robot mode, it's on a ball-joint but it doesn't have big range of motion.
And the fist can rotate as well.
The wings can move up and down, they have a joint here, they also have a joint here.
They can open until here and these bits can open downwards.
Let me open them from the other side as well and show you from a far shot the wingspan!
As you can see his wings are very big!
Unfortunately, this piece remains empty like this, you can't do anything with it, you leave it aside.
As for the storage place of his swords, you can use the same place as I showed you in the robot mode.
You cannot store the rest of the weapons on the figure. You can only make him hold them.
He is very impressive. I will give you a 360 as well to see him how he looks.
Very nice figure! Mastermind Creations did a great job! Let me give you a size comparison now.
- And a size comparison now. Here is Nova Prime next to a voyager class figure, Generations Sandstorm.
And next to a leader class figure Generations Jetfire. As you can see, Nova Prime is an ultra voyager class figure!
- So let's transform Nova Prime back into his vehicle mode. First we will remove his armor.
Close his wings. Bring the trailer in as well.
First remove his helmet. And place it...yea...you can't see anything because they are so big.
You will place it on here. Close that panel as well. Remove this piece as well.
It will tab in here. Like this. Leave it down like this for the time being.
And now we will remove the wings.
Disconnect these bits from here. Bring the chest up and remove the wings.
Connect these pieces here to secure the chest-armor. Place it on the base.
You need to bring the wings a little bit to the front so you can connect easier the back piece.
Now that the camera is recording it doesn't want to connect...
And place the wings like this, so they can sit correctly in the trailer.
Bring the crotch piece up and bring the helmet down. Remove these bits from the shoulders.
And place them in here. Do the same thing to the other side as well.
Remove the gauntlets. Rotate the fists.
Place them in here. The front side of the fist should be turned away from the trailer.
Do the same thing to the other side as well.
Remove these pieces... ...and place them in here.
Remove these pieces and they will tab in here.
And now we will remove the boots. Open this panel and we will try to remove the armor of the leg.
Close it. Do the same thing to the other side as well.
Close it. And these bits will connect in here. These will keep them in place.
Finally remove the feet. And connect them in here.
And the armory is ready! To close it...bring these bits to the front.
Close these bits inwards. Remove these bits from here and bring them back.
And bring this piece up. Close this bit like this and bring this piece to the front.
Bring this piece down and now you have to connect this panel in three places.
Here, here and here. The easiest way is to start from the back section. And then move to the front section.
Bring this piece down and connect it here.
Place the sword in here. The pistol as well. And the trailer is ready!
Something that I forgot to show you...
Nova Prime has a small "door" here that if you open it you will see that he has a Matrix!
I don't know why it has split in two... He has a small Matrix!
It is made of plastic, nice silver paint and a blue transparent plastic from inside.
- Can he hold it in his hands? - Hmmm...to tell you the truth I didn't try it, we can try it now..
I don't understand though why it splits in two...! Can he?
Only with his index finger! Let me put it back to its place. And close the small "door".
So let's transform Core (as they call him) back into his vehicle mode.
First bring the knee-pads down so I won't forget them. Close the fingers.
Let's start with his backpack.
Open the backpack. Bring these pieces up and leave them like this for the time being.
Open the panels, close these pieces. Bring the feet up.
And fold them inwards, like this. Connect the legs.
Once you've done it you can close these panels, like this.
Rotate the head to the other side. Bring this piece up. Bring the chest completely up.
Rotate the arm to this direction and close this bit inwards.
And now you have to rotate this mechanism from here. The arm cannot rotate like this, it has only one direction.
And as you close this bit, this piece must face inwards.
The blue plastic of the arm should face this way, rotate the hand outwards.
Nope, my mistake! This piece should face this way and the arm this way.
So the arm will be stored in here. Close the hand and it will look like this.
Do the same thing to the other side as well.
This is the most complicated part of the transformation. Other than that, there's no other difficulty.
Once they're tabbed in... ...why it didn't sit in here...
This piece should go underneath. I need to take out the arms again... -_-
The piece on the top section of the chest should go underneath here before we put the arms in here.
That was the mistake I did in the beggining.
Once you've done all these steps, bring this piece back and it will tab in here.
And this piece will come down. It's a little bit tricky to line up everything...
...to secure everything in place. Because...because the fingers is the problem...!
This is one of the most annoying parts of the whole transformation.
Squeeze everything gently to ensure everything is in its place.
Place the trailer as well. And Nova Prime is back into his vehicle mode!
- Final thoughts...it's a very impressive figure in the robot mode.
The only drawback I saw is that his head is a little bit....
- Loose. - Loose, yes indeed.
Other than that I didn't find any other drawbacks, it's a very good figure.
It has normal articulation, normal plastic quality...
Also another small drawback is that in the vehicle he can't steer much but ok, this is a small detail,
other than that it's a very good figure! That's all from me, Stefanos?
- From all the Nova Prime versions from different 3rd party figures, I liked Mastermind Creations most,
that's why I ended up in him. The Reprolabels stickers give him many extra details.
Especially on the wings, they give him many orange details otherwise they would be a plain blue colour.
Very good plastic quality, I just don't know if many years later his plastic will start to yellow.
I will see this in the future...
Very nice design, sturdy figure, I don't mind if the vehicle can't steer because I will have him in the robot mode.
If you have the money to get it, I suggest you buy it! It's a very nice figure!
