hey guys hope you're all doing well and welcome back to my channel here today
with my winter skincare and makeup essentials I'm thinking I'll put this
into a little series so I'll have a separate video for my spring summer and
autumn essentials but today I'm talking about the winter I have normal to dry
skin so in the winter months in the cooler months my skin grows more on the
dry side unfortunately so a lot of these products are targeted to dry skin
because what I'm after is hydration moisturization and products that give me
more of a glow more of a radiant complexion but if you guys are after
that radiant complexion as well then definitely keep watching please
subscribe if you haven't already I'm going to be studying my makeup
decluttering series next and at the end of that series I'm going to fill my
makeup collection in storage videos so definitely subscribe to you don't miss
out on those like this video and all the prices I've spoken about will be listed
in the description bar because I'm literally going to go from head to toe
with all my hydrating products that I've been loving so starting with hair this
is the Toni & Guy nourish reconstruction mask I've been using this for years now
and I keep repurchasing it I love it I use it pretty much once a week sometimes
once every two weeks depending on how my hair is going what I love about this
mask is that it doesn't weigh down my hair I've got a lot of hair but it's
quite fine so any products that weigh down your hair my hair just goes limp
and almost as much volume as I can so this one doesn't do that it just
nourishes my hair without weighing it down so I love that okay now onto my
face which is probably the most important part because I equate dry skin
with wrinkles and we don't want that so I try to keep it as hydrated as possible
so I'm going to start with exfoliators because as I mentioned in my anti-aging
skincare routine which if you haven't seen that yet I'll link it on the screen
and in the description bar I mentioned that exfoliated and clean
skin really allows all these products to sink in absorb nicely and do their thing
so yeah I like to keep my clean and exfoliated so I thought I'd
share with you guys these products here these effectively do the same thing but
I thought I'd show them both to you because there's a little bit of a price
difference this one here is a cheaper one this is the pixie peel and polish
resurfacing concentrate and then this is the Clinique turnaround revitalizing
instant facial as I said they're pretty similar they both go on the skin and you
leave them on for about two to five minutes they dry a little bit on the
skin and you can feel there is a little bit of a a rough surface to the cream so
after that two to five minutes I just get a little bit of water on my fingers
massage it in and then wash it off with a cloth and my skin is really nice and
exfoliated this one does contain an HHA so they do say to use a sunscreen during
the day you know after you've been using this which I'll show you my favorite
face sunscreen in a sec so these two unloved and then my toner is a bit of an
exfoliating toner as well which is by pixie and it's their glow tonic swear by
this I just keep repurchasing it this one has 5% glycolic acids in it and yet
I just feel after using exfoliator and the toner my face is really nice and
smooth and ready for hydration now onto masks and I definitely
recommend them for dry skin I love my sheet masks and I also love my
traditional face masks as well the sheet marks are fantastic because they sit on
the face and they really let the serum really absorb into the skin you take off
the sheet and then you can just Pat in that serum you don't actually need to
wash it off and also love these more traditional cream masks as well I've
used this a few times now I showed you in my recent haul video and I absolutely
love it I used it again last night because it
was just the last few days it's just been really like a dry wind dry and cold
wind here so I've just been packing on all these hydrating products because you
have to take the feeling of dry skin so you this again last night and I really
do recommend a guy that subverts B's intense hydration treatment mask is as
intensely hydrate dry skin helps reduce the appearance of fine
lines and wrinkles so it's a very sick cream and they say to layer it on quite
thick leave it for 10 to 15 minutes and then they say to wipe it off left with a
tissue or a little cloth and sort of pad in the rest of it like as a moisturizer
I just wash mine off and then I go in with my moisturizer but even when I wash
it off my skin is so soft and just feel so hydrated but it doesn't even feel
like it needs a moisturizer so yeah this definitely works
I love now on two serums now there's so many different serums and oils out there
to use underneath your moisturizer at night love them I absolutely love them
I've got a couple here that I have been using so this one here is the indeed
Hydra Laurent and I've been raving about this one for years now
it isn't very like it doesn't feel like it's moisturizing but it actually locks
in the moisture of your skin and then you put a moisturizer over the top and
it really does work and then this one is the Paula's Choice resist Omega complex
and it fortifies in oceans the skin and it's a serum but it comes out to like in
a cream form so I like those too I definitely recommend investing in a
serum or oil or oil another great oil is the rota voya which I used to use
religiously but yeah there's so many different oils and serums out there
available at Priceline or Meyer or David Jones depending on what price range
you're after and so as I paint sleep masks what I do with these is I do still
put a little bit of my face moisturizer which I use my Neutrogena sensitive skin
one and I'll put my mask on over the top and I switch between these through here
this one is more of a cream this one is more of a gel this is the Clinique
Moisture Surge overnight mask and this one is the nature of public aqua super
aqua max so yeah as I said this one is more of a cream and I just put a little
bit on over the top of my moisturizer wash it off in the morning and with both
of these my skin is so nice and soft and hydrated and I just feel that if you're
using such a rich product over night like it's really benefiting you know you
know it's really getting into the in rather than just washing it off after
15 minutes and then an eye cream guys I definitely recommend an eye cream
especially if you're suffering from dry underneath the eyes or even if you just
want to prevent wrinkles no it's just an eye cream is so essential this one here
I recommend all the time it's the atutor house most of all collagen eye cream
absolutely love business like I think my third or fourth repurchase and yeah it's
just so nice and thick and hydrating underneath the eye area I don't actually
wear an eye cream during the day I find that if I do my concealer doesn't really
step underneath my eyes so I really pack that on at night and I just wanted to
quickly mention the sunscreen that I use during the day I know that sunscreen is
essential anyway but with a lot of these skin care products it is essential that
you do wear a sunscreen because you know with the a a chaise and the glycolic
acid and so forth you know you really need to be protecting your skin during
the day this is a little rotifers a 50 plus ultra light sunscreen because it is
ultra light it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin which is good I use this before
I go in with my primer and foundation bro get onto the make up side of things
I just wanted to show these to you guys I've been doing facial cutting for about
the last two weeks and I'm going to be doing a separate video on how I do it
and the benefits and so forth because I have seen a huge difference in the
appearance of my skin here and I just really wanted to test them out before I
report it back to you guys but here these are part of my skincare routine at
the moment as well okay and now on to makeup and I'm going to show you guys
some products that I use that give me more of a glowing or radiant complexion
which I want in the drier months so these guys here I use a tinted
moisturizer during the day and I love these this is the Rimmel insta flawless
perfecting radiant skin tint this one here is the boudoir one two three
perfect CC cream which I've been raving about for years now and then this is the
pixie h2o skin tint and it's a tinted stay still so any tinted moisturizer or
face gel is amazing during the cool because yeah it sort of like wearing an
extra moisturizer but your evening out your skin tone so I definitely love them
if I wanted to wear foundation during the day or night then I always wear a
various hydrating primer and these ones I love here this is the pixie glow ssin
des jeux and it's a brightening lotion and the Napoleon auto-pilot radiance
boosting primer so all of these has a very sort of pearlescent finish to them
they're not glittery and they're not too heavy on the skin I
have found that some sort of hydrating or brightening primers can be quite
heavy and sticky on the skin but these are quite light and just add a gorgeous
glow to the skin and then these two foundations here I've been loving over
the winter months because they're not matte and they add to more of a radiant
complexion so this is the Bourjois healthy mix this is the new formula and
this is the Rimmel wake me up and it's the anti fatigue skin brightening
foundation so this is the new formulation of the Rimmel wake me up as
well and it's it's a lot more dewy which I love so I definitely recommend a
radiance foundation in the cooler months now onto the lips and I'll do a separate
clip of how many lip balms I've got going on at the moment I rounded them
all up I've even got them at friends and family's house I've got a little stash
of lip balms they're you know I'm just over time being I just love them these
two here are my absolute favorites though at the moment this is the land
ellipse tented bomb this is so moisturizing and it's got a really
really nice rose natural tint to it you can see that there that yeah it's so
nourishing as well so I use that one during the day because I wanted a little
bit of color on the lips and then this one here I keep beside my bed because I
I love using it before I go to sleep and it's a bird speeds ultra conditioning
lip balm and you can see here I've nearly finished it I use this all the
time so yeah and with farms are a must and before I get onto the rest of the
body I just want to talk about eyes quickly I drop I love my eye drops as
well because I feel my eyes always feel very dry in the cooler months especially
like over the past weekend with how windy it was I
popping the eyedrops so these ones here are the Refresh liquid gels so these
ones here are the optimal Manuka dry eyedrops it's actually I think got
manuka honey in it and that's - when I would recommended these I thought oh my
gosh I'm not putting some anywhere I just think when you put them in I have
to warn you guys you know they do seem you have to hold your eye closed for a
couple of minutes once that singing this goes away my eyes out dry anymore so
yeah I love that now body oils I love using an oil on my skin during the cool
month it's just just feel so hydrating this is
the Palmers coconut oil and it's a coconut oil with no parabens no mineral
oil agglutinins and so forth no nasties and this is really quite nice and light
on the skin I don't like any oils or moisturizers that just sit on the skin
and feel greasy I want it to absorb really quickly and this one does I also
have to mention this cream here actually that a giveaway I've got five to give
away to you guys on my Instagram so definitely check that out local little
friends and it's the intense barrier cream made with organic ingredients it's
Australian made in Australian owned I discovered it in the Bella
baby box and it was absolutely been loving it and I've got a new one it's
just such a nourishing cream it is to help with eczema and psoriasis
dermatitis and very dry skin types but whipping you guys i've been using it on
rocky and I've been using my husband's been using any dry patches that we've
had over the cooler months just pop a little bit of this on and they're gone
so definitely recommend that if you're if you've got a very dry skin tight
hands guys these set beside my bed this is the Antipodes delight hand and body
cream so I use a little bit of this before I go to bed at night on my hands
and then I always slosh a little bit of this on my cuticles and it's a Manor
care cuticle therapy this is a new one but yeah any cuticle cream is so good to
just keep those dry cuticles at bay and lastly I'm going to talk about feet guys
it's not this subject but this year I have to rave about guys this is a Tony
moly super peeling liquid and what you do is they give you these little bags
that you put your feet in then they give you this liquid you tie them up you
leave them on I left mine on for about an hour hour and a half and over the
next ten to fourteen days you'll see your skin starting to peel and what
you're left with after a couple of weeks is very soft feet you only use it once
and I used it it was pretty much at the start of winter it's so nice having
really nice soft seats you know when you're in bed in the sheets and
everything you don't want to feel any pool or dryness I used another brand I
can actually remember the name of it and it didn't really work too well so it's a
little bit skeptical with the Tony moly one but it worked so they're all my
winter skin care and makeup essentials guys I'll have all the categories that
are recommend in the description bar as well as the list of all the products
that I've spoken about if you want just sort of like a quick reference and yeah
that is pretty much it definitely stay tuned for my makeup decluttering videos
I'm so looking forward to filming them for you guys hope you guys all have a
wonderful day please subscribe if you haven't already and I'll speak to you
soon ciao
