The VFCC hopper wagon
designed and modified
to have a real load
but without load
It's definitely sad
I believe that after a series of experiments
and misadventures
even this little one
has the right to his load
and then finally arrive
in the finished projects section
it was the first kit I assembled in my life
the result did not come at all well
still is wrong
as well as to try
to provide the hooks with greater smoothness
I also used oil
the result was bad
so much so that they then stopped
and to try to remove the oil
in addition to a bath in water and degreaser
it's even finished in the dishwasher
after the dishwasher
the result has improved
however, a detail has been lost
maybe I should have let him do it
low temperature washing
and not that at 40 degrees
my fault
it was also the first cart on which
I put some Decals
it is the first
that I paint completely alone
so there are a series of
problems and errors
compared to the other video on this wagon
there are more colored details
put for aesthetics
To do this load
we have mainly 2 options
the first
is to take the classic stone
for ballast
and put it inside the hopper
simple operation
that I believe, however
definitely too expensive
as a bag
they are sold for over € 5
and in my opinion
it is better to use them for a roadbed
rather than for a load
for this type of wagon
my idea is therefore to do an experiment
I do not know how it will come
it will be just one
a discovery
the idea is therefore
to reuse the constructive method
used for loading black stone
we will also use the same rock
however when you paste it
or anyway soon after it will come
added white color
to simulate the white of the crushed stone
I do not know yet if the acrylic white
it will be put in the water together with the glue
or if instead it will be put on with a brush
cut the part from the video
where I make gravel
because the procedure is exactly the same
to that of the other video
and then the next step
it will glue the gravel and put the color
we have both made our gravel
let's make a solution of water, vinyl glue and white acrylic color
I would say that we can try our hand at this experiment
let's see how it comes
probably the color will not be strong enough
to immediately give the white color
however it will provide an adequate basis
for the next coloring
the container has been closed in such a way as to be watertight
so now we have to dry
all this load
for the time necessary until hardening
this will be the effect it will have
after about 24 hours of drying
it is still evident that it is still wet
however it should be fine
for painting since
there are no signs of movement
of stone to contact
I will use it to color it
an acrylic white
of Puravest
because it is a perfect product for modeling
is that I noticed
spreads out very well by brush
it's quite evident
that one hand of white will not suffice
however with a second hand
and a little bit of final touch up
the effect could be acceptable
It did not come exactly as I hoped
also because in some places
the color has created concavities
making the final effect
not at all realistic
at this point I will scrub the top
to take away what I have already done
I will redo the gravel
and I will try to use the airbrush to put the color
I redid the upper mantle
now I wait for it to dry
and then I try to put the color back on
this time with the airbrush
during drying I thought:
if I try to give the color directly with the airbrush
most likely
it will happen that white will not completely cover the dark part
and it will be a horrible effect
so maybe it could be before
advisable to give a coat of white primer
to do this, however, it is necessary
cover the whole car with paper tape
to avoid painting him too white
so I would say that it's all right
also because in the case
if I dirtyed above
with the brush and the gray color
I would fix that problem
the final result
after a couple of primer hands
and a couple of coats of paint
transparent opaque
it's more or less this
it did not come bad
let's unpack it and see
overall how is it
There is as well evident
to give gray on all these details
because the white has completely covered it
but overall I must say that it also came well
so now let's get gray!
I must say that it did not come badly
maybe at the end
all this work
if you have some gravel that is left over
from a roadbed
It's definitely better to use that
it is a much lower use of fatigue
but overall I must say that it did not come badly
still like touch they would like us
those powders for aging
to put it all over here
to make it less white
and give more the dusty effect
but even so the final effect
it's pleasant
I hope you enjoyed this experiment I did with you
I had no idea how it could come
so it was just a real-time test
and see you at a next video!
