Alright, alright! Tough audience!

I may not be in Paris, but that doesn't stop me from telling you

two macabre stories that I heard at the City of Lights when in a tour I joined in 2015.

I already filmed the video above,

In which I tell some other stories I heard.

But here are today's stories.

First of all, i you are eating something, please, stop

or come back later!

Because what I'm about to tell might be tough for sensitive stomachs, and hearts.

Frightening song, please! Frightening song! Here's the first story!

During the 14th century, in a small house located on Chanoinesse street, former Marmousets street,

where a police station stands today,

lived a man that worked making pâté that was considered wonderful.

The pâté was so famous that even the king of France himself used to order great quantities of it

to be served in his palace.

The man, of course, kept his recipe in secret.

He kept living and working in that small house until something terrible

schocked the surroundings!

Not far away from his house, was a sorority of students.

One day the students started to misteriously vanish without a trace.

This was becoming the police's worst nightmare, because they didn't know where to look for the boys.

But the last boy to disappear owned a dog,

The dog was desperate to find his owner, and started sniffing the streetshoping to find him.

And he traced his owner back to where?

The pâté maker's house.

He started to bark in front of the house , day and night, ceaselessly,

until he caught the police attention.

So the police decided to investigate the man's house, and when they entered it

What have they found?

The pâté's secret recipe...

the main ingredient was pieces of students.

This is the version I heard there, but there's a most famous one

In which there are two main characters, not a pâté maker,

but a barber working with a man that cooked pies. Meat pies to be specific.

And it happened in London, on Fleet street.

Many adaptations were made to television, the big screen, and the theatre.

The first of them, 1936's Sweeney Todd, the demonic barber of Fleet street.

Later during the 70's, Broadway started to produce the musical.

In 1997 a movie for television was produced.

In 2006 a BBC special,

and in 2008, the version I believe is the most famous one,

Tim Burton's musical

with Johnny Depp playing Sweeney Todd.

Do you know that the devil lives inside Notre-Dame?

By the time the cathedral was being built

Biscornet, a smith apprentice was chosen

to create a decoration for the cathedral's doors.

A huge responsibility for this young man,

and he needed the best inspiration he could have

to decorate those doors. That was, by the way, a very important job

because he could be very famous thanks to it!

So he decided to pray for God,

so God could enlighten his little head with the best of inspirations.

He went to bed that night certain that God was going to answer his prayers.

But God didn't lister.

So he tried again, but this time, he prayed to St. Denis, Paris' patron saint for help.

He went to bed, and in the next day...

Nothing! St. Denis also didn't help.

He was tired and worried because he needed that idea to work,

so who did he call for help?

The devil, of course!

That night the young man went to bed,

and he dreamed about the art he would decorate the doors with. Can you believe it?

He was in a hurry to finish his job,

so he decided to ignore the fact that he was helped by the devil.

And made the wonderful art that decorates Notre-Dame's (not Paris!) doors until today.

Of course he didn't tell anyone that, at least in theory, the devil had helped him,

And the cathedral was inaugurated.

The doors were, at first, shut,

People tried to open it to visit the inside, but the door wouldn't budge.

It didn't open even by force, so some holy water was sprinkled on it.

A disturbing screech was heard inside the cathedral and the doors opened violently!

And that's why people say the devil lives inside Notre-Dame!

There are other versions to this tale, but this was the one I heard there.

JOURNALISTIC MALPRACTICE.

CNN DID IT, FOX NEWS DID IT COME

MSNBC DID IT.

BUT IT TURNS OUT THAT WAS THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG,

IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE NOT COVERING BERNIE SANDERS AT ALL

AND USUALLY WHAT THEY SAY IS NO, WE DIDN'T THINK HE HAD A CHANCE

TO WIN.

HE CLOSED A 60 POINT LEAD, THAT WAS HISTORIC, THAT

WAS UNBELIEVABLE, AND 2015.

AND THEY STILL WOULDN'T COVER HIM.

AND NOW WE FIND OUT FROM ED THAT IN FACT, NO, THEY ACTIVELY WERE

TOLD NOT TO COVER BERNIE SANDERS.

I HAD ANOTHER ON-AIR

TALENT AT MSNBC TELL ME OFF THE RECORD THAT IF THEY EVER

CRITICIZED HILLARY CLINTON THEY WOULD IMMEDIATELY GET A CALL

FROM MANAGEMENT.

You probably know her for quite a while, and you have interest on her.

If you've earned that, you actually should have been friendship already with her.

However, that's not enough since you need to be slightly active by commenting.

Just tell her that she looks good, and that is a good start.

After that, you can say anything else to make her feel appreciated.

#2 - Joining the same cause

The girl you are looking into probably have certain qualities that make you like her.

That includes the fact that he joins certain social organization for particular cause.

You actually can join that too in order to get closer with her.

How Do I Repair and Fix a Break in Electric Dog Fence Wire? - Duration: 9:19.

Hi. Welcome back Charlie's still playing we'll just keep her busy a little bit

while we show you how to join the wire okay here's one I prepared earlier we

have a seven strand copper core in our wire so it's a very strong wire. The

coatings we mentioned high density polyethylene now to join it basically

just expose a little bit of copper and to do that don't get too excited with

the pliers just give yourself about in the old language about an inch

just crimp into the polyethylene, the HDPE.

Now this is a little bit trickier because it

is a pretty tough coating and there's a good reason for that as well

so then what you do is you just strip that off gently and try not to...

okay then twist the ends off a

little bit don't get too excited about that that's fine. Now to double it make sure

that you get the twist basically butterfly twist the wires together and

twist them just a butterfly twist there now the real secret

Alright we run some of our

wire across here and we're just gonna hit it with that shovel and I'll show

you how strong it is and I put that on the ground put my foot on it

all right so if you're doing your gardening you're not going to break the

wire that's pretty important because if your wire breaks down you get your dog

your dog gets loose so I mean that's gone through. A little bit through the

housing but definitely hasn't gone through that copper

See it's all kinked up. Okay here we go hasn't done any real damage so that's

gonna last you in the garden beds.

just a butterfly twist there now the real

secret is tie a knot in the end get that nice and close to the copper so you end

up with something that looks a little bit like that what you do then is you

get some plain old PVC tape and give it a good coating I usually start at the

join wrap it in one direction all the way to the end and I'll keep going past

the end a little bit and then fold it over and then wrap it back in the other

direction hang on I just got to do my job I'm failing. This way or that way? this

way good girl all right then we go back a little bit and as you know when you

seal this off just just pull it and as it shrinks you just wrap it around and

that'll shrink down nicely

subject of wire how long ago did you get your system Kevin we've had our system for

NINE YEARS! and absolutely magic

and the wire has been? Fantastic. No problems whatsoever. No Problems whatsoever to wire but here's

the thing it's been sitting on the fence for the last nine years okay and Kevin's

just popped in to grab some more batteries for one collar and buy two

more collars correct unfortunately he lost his dogs to some snakes on the

property but he's fixed that problem and we've we will talk we can talk about how

to manipulate the wire to keep the dogs away from the bush but with the wire the

coating the HDPE coating has a 20 year UV rating so if you'd bought PVC wire

would you have had to buy more wire by now? Definitely. Alright good so happy

when you seal this off just just pull it and as it

shrinks you just wrap it around and that'll shrink down nicely now the next

thing I do then it's a make sure that if anything pulls on the join it's not

gonna break apart so that's what the knot does and also if you ever get

another break you want to have a bit of a slack in the system so I would fold

this over and then get one more piece and come back in the other direction so

you end up with something that looks like that if anything pulls on the join

those slack bits will pull apart so I'll show you that again it's not hard fold

it over grab one of the wires and then you've got that sitting on the fence you

want to find the joint easily just get your PVC and give it another couple of

wraps pull that off grab yourself a good old cable tie and cable that tie that to

the fence and look if that breaks down over the next 10 years give me a call

and I'll send you a new joint okay quite easy and you can join my joining to your

joint no not kidding I've been back to properties where the wires been sitting

on the fence for nine or ten years and the joins are still 100% so there we go

that's how to do a joint okay back again so just quickly

recapping on what we've just shown you I'm extending this fence we have to

cover it around this dam because the dogs now I've decided to go round this

Dam so we're extending it so I'm going to cut into this loop can't here up at

the transmitters beeping like crazy to let you know there's a break in the wire

and I'm going to join the first one first so you take the two wires one wire

goes up into there and the other wire comes across into the existing section

to protect the dam so just crimp around the high-density polyethylene coating

take off the housing

I'm not gonna rush this because it take longer in when you rush it. Okay there we go okay

no need to twist them but get them like that butterfly twist them together

tighten it up a bit you can cut off any loose ends tie a knot in it that's

generally the key to make sure it's not gonna pull apart quite easily grab your

normal PVC tape quick wrap around the top get passed the end

fold it over wrap backwards pull it off seal it fold it over fold it back again

so it's all traveling in one nice straight long line I'll show you that in

slow motion on the next one and then a couple of twists and that's

complete so that'll sit there for years even though this is inside a dam she's

gonna get covered in water it doesn't matter that's that's pretty 100%

waterproof okay the next two wires have disappeared here's wire number one wire

number two okay put those together point them in the same direction grab your

pliers strip the end if you break a couple of strands of the seven strand

copper core don't be too concerned if you break more than say two or three I'd

probably start again it does take a bit of practice I have been doing this for

over 15 years and I still don't get it right first time okay so I've exposed

the copper same again dead easy

there we go add a bit of tape the HDPE goes great in

water so it's something that you can bury and you can also leave in the Sun

which is the benefit you don't have to bury our wire because it does have that

20 year UV rating it's not just UV stabilized it has a UV rating so we fold

it over and then grab one of the wires go back in the opposite direction and

then wrap it up

alright that's done done and dusted we've extended this fence by putting

another loop up that way and just join in to the original loops these will just

get covered up by some leaves we don't have to get too excited

no one's gonna walk through here and that's all nicely protected and buried

under the footpath as well alright back to the other video

so there we go that's

how to do a join now a little bonus tip as you're going around your property I

usually do an expansion joint which means that you just simply get a little

bit of wire like this fold it over and then get a cable tie here you put one

cable tie around the fence there and cable tie it onto the fence and then get

the other cable tie so you're making like a bowtie on the fence now if

you get anything that pulls on the wire those expansion joints will just let go

and the wire won't break also if you do get a break in the wire you've got a

little bit of slack in there because if a wire stretched along the fence like

that and it breaks you can't actually do the joint because you need slack in the

system too to get that sort of fold in there if you would like to have a chat

the size the bandwidth. Now, bandwidth is how many people are visiting your site,

and how much activity they are doing. If they're downloading videos, or you're

trying to be the next YouTube, you're gonna pay a lot for hosting. But, if people

are just reading articles, it'll be cheaper, right? It's just like our house

comparison: if you have a big piece of land, you might need to pay a lot of

money. But, if you have a small piece of land, you can't have as many people over

for your party, but you will also pay less. Does that make sense?

So, once you know what people are going to do on your website, and how many

people you want to have come to your website, then you know more about how

much you should pay for hosting. I use Bluehost dot com for my domain, English -

win dot com. But, you can use any web host that works for you. The next thing you

have to do is connect your domain name... you know, whatever your name is... dot com, or

whatever, to your hosting. That's like connecting your mailbox to the piece of

land that's going to hold your website. And you can ask your web host how to do

that. OR, it may be very easy if you buy your domain and your hosting from the

same service. I've done this before with godaddy.com, and I've also done this with

Bluehost in the past. if you don't know how to do it the customer service there

is usually very good, so ask them if you're confused. Once this is finished,

then you type in your domain name... your address... and it should take you to where

your hosting is. But there's still ONE problem: there's no house on the land. No

house, no party. You still need a website. Now, you can pay

a web designer to make the website for you. That's expensive,

but you are likely to get everything you want. But, you can also do something like

wordpress.com. That's a platform that enables you to

have your own website using a thing called, what-you-see-is-what-you-get.

That means you can change the look of your website by clicking different

options and dragging things around... maybe... depending on what service you're using,

and you can visually design your website without having to know much code.

Sometimes, you don't need to know any. Believe me, I know very little code. So

you can use WordPress or some other platform to make your own website using

what you see is what you get interface. Now, what I like a lot about WordPress is

they have templates. Templates are specific designs that you can click

through and try out on your website. It's like putting on a shirt, then taking it

off and putting on a different shirt... You can try them out and see what works

for you. Ond once you hit 'okay' on a template... boom!

Your website has that look, okay? So that should make getting your website a lot

easier. Now, you type in your website address, it goes to a website that now

looks mostly the way you want. Now sometimes, when you're using a template,

or you're working with a designer, there are some parts of the websites you want

changed a little. Maybe you want the header image changed. Maybe you want rounded

edges on pictures. Maybe you want a drop-down menu for e-commerce...

where people can buy and sell things on your website. These you can get either by

hiring a designer to do the work for you, or by using something called a

widget. A widget is a small piece of code that you can put on your website and on

something like WordPress, you can change where that widget shows up. It's very

convenient. In our house example, a widget is like remodeling your kitchen or

putting new furniture into your living room, right? You're getting ready for that

party. Also, if you're a really great coder, you can use CSS. That stands for

'cascading style sheets.' It's a complicated, fancy way of saying you are

going to write the rules for how things should look on your website. To add

widgets to anything, like WordPress or Typepad, or any of those platforms, you

need to go into your dashboard. The dashboard is like your back-office.

People who visit your website don't see this, but YOU do, and you can change

different things like the settings on your website... whether or not people can

comment... you can change and write new posts, and

do a lot of different things. And you should be able to find a section on

widgets, where you can look around and add different things. If you don't see

the option you're looking for, you can download something called a plug-in. A

plug-in is a piece of code that another designer made, and you can

download it and activate it on your website. So, you can play around with

these things. But try to be careful: because a lot of them makes it harder to

load the website. Be very specific about what you need. Next, you need to get traffic.

Traffic is the people who visit your website. These are the people in our

house example who come to your house for the party. And if you know how to get

traffic, let me know, I could use a lot more. Hopefully, this video helps you a

lot. It gave you new words to talk about building a website that will help you. Do

Scandal Series Finale: Who Will End Up Together? [Spoilers]

Scandal will not be returning for an eighth season, meaning tonight, fans must say goodbye to Olivia Pope.

The show has enjoyed over 100 episodes and tonight, the series finale will wrap things up.

The question is how?.

What will happen to Marcus and Mellie? What's in store for Mellie and will the two stay together? Read on, but warning, spoilers lie ahead!.

The pair first became close while working on Melli's presidential campaign.

Olivia, always set on her goal, would tell Mellie to keep focused on her own campaign and to not get distracted by Marcus.

When Beene (who was requested by Olivia) offered Marcus as the White House Press Secretary, he said yes, much to Mellie's disapproval– she did not want him to take the job.

Previews for tonight show that the drama is about to peak once again.

In an interview last May with the Hollywood Reporter, Shonda Rhimes shared, "[W]e are going all out.

Leaving nothing on the table.

Creating this world in celebration.

We are going to handle the end the way we like to handle the important things in our Scandal family: all together, white hats on, Gladiators running full speed over a cliff.".

Tonight's finale is titled, "Over a Cliff." It's logline reads, "The episode marks the culmination of Olivia, Mellie, Fitz and the Gladiators' journey as we know it.

With the existence of B613 exposed to the world, the Gladiators make the ultimate sacrifice in order to take down Cyrus and Jake — but how far will they go to get justice?".

Apart from Mellie and Marcus, fans are curious if Olivia and Fitz will get together.

Will they move to Vermont and fulfill their dreams of making jam until death do them part?.

During tonight's finale, all the characters will sit down to testify their worst crimes.

And things have promised to be tied up.

The Wrap writes, "the seventh and final season of "Scandal" will come to a close with an ending that ties up almost all the loose ends.

But one stray kernel of the story might keep you guessing long after the credits roll."'.

Scott Foley said, specifically, "Now there is one thing that is sort of ambiguous at the very end of the show and it's going to leave people questioning, 'Did this happen? Did that happen? I don't quite get it.' And I think it's important to make it your own… And there's going to be questions and disagreements and 'It couldn't be.

Here's why' or 'It has to be.

Here's why.'".

According to one avid and investigative Reddit reader, the signs point to Olivia and Fitz not moving to Vermont.

As the Reddit user points out, "Fortunately for us spoiler hungry fans, Ventura County provides citizen access to real time records of applications for film permits.

The producers of Scandal did not apply for a permit to film there for the finale.

The last time they filmed there was for 710.".
