Good morning, everyone!
Today I have a special video featuring Q2HAN.
Well, they're not here but we both decided to collab
on the topic of underground shopping here in Korea.
So, I've been to many underground shopping centers
in Gangnam, Express Bus Terminal,
Jongno as well as Yeongdeungpo.
And there are much more than that
but those are the top four that I can think of
that are quite big compared to the other ones.
Underground shopping is very popular
because you can buy a lot of clothes for a very cheap price.
I often go during the winter
to pick up a cardigan for 15,000 won
which is less than 15 dollars
and skirts, jeans, you can buy so much
for a very discounted price.
Because if you go to places like Myeongdong
a lot of those pop-ups
they buy from these underground shopping centers.
So, they are reselling it for like a thousand, two thousand won more.
But, yeah, that's why if you have the time and patience
definitely check out the underground shopping here.
I think the Express Bus Terminal is the cheapest
but personally my favorite is Gangnam
only because it's much smaller
and there are lots of trendy pieces that you can find
like all in one place.
Express Bus Terminal, there are so many different ones,
so you do kinda have to look around.
However, if you are okay with that
and if you want an adventure
definitely recommend Express Bus Terminal.
So initially Q2HAN asked if we could do a 30,000 won outfit challenge
and to be honest I didn't have the time
to go to the other underground shopping centers for this video
because of the travels.
So, I decided to share some tips. I have five.
And the haul at the end of this video.
Number one, have cash.
These stores prefer cash over card
because it's just easier that way.
And you can possibly get a discount if you have cash.
And also, you don't have to pay an extra fee if you have a card.
So, don't forget to carry cash
when you're going underground shopping.
Number two is make two rounds.
Whenever you walk into the Express Bus Terminal
or any underground shopping centers actually,
you'll notice that a lot of the stores carry the same shirts,
blouses, skirts, shoes and whatnot.
There is a possibility where when you buy it
and after like ten steps
you'll see that the thing you just bought
is actually a thousand or two thousand won cheaper.
So I recommend that you make two rounds.
First round, walk around and look for pieces that you are interested in
and then the second one, go back to the shops that had discounted prices
and clothes that you liked.
I wanna say the deeper you go into the underground shopping centers,
you'll notice that the clothes get cheaper.
So, right when you walk in you'll see that, "Oh, my gosh! Everything is so pretty"
and you wanna get all the shopping over with
but then trust me
like five minutes in you'll notice that they carry the same stuff,
but it's cheaper.
Number three is commit to a shop.
So if you walk into one specific shop
and pick like three to five things,
there's a higher chance that the owner will give you a discount,
and if you use a card they won't charge you
because you just bought three to five things from them.
So, commit to a shop.
I usually commit to three to four shops
and it would usually for accessories, clothes, clothes and shoes.
Number four is to go on a weekday.
Weekends are packed,
and it's impossible to look through all the items.
So go on a weekday,
and if you do wanna go on a weekend,
in the morning because that's when they open up
and not a lot of people are there.
During the weekends people like to sleep in.
So go in the morning if you wanna go on a weekend.
But it's much easier to shop during a weekday.
My final tip is to learn basic Korean when you go to the shops.
A lot of them might speak English,
but it's just easier and friendlier if you do so.
Some phrases or two phrases that I will share with you guys is,
"Eolma eyo?" That's "How much is it?"
"Kkag-ajuseyo" and that translates to "Can I get a discount?"
So, I hope those tips are helpful and now let's get on to the haul.
Everything I bought in this haul is 10,000 won or less.
So that means it's less than ten dollars.
So I did pick up a good amount of stuff.
So I will share with you guys now.
And first we have this blue blouse.
And I really love the sleeves because you can tie it
and it's just very cutesy and lovely.
And I love the color.
That blouse I believe was 10,000 won.
And the next top I have is this shirt right here.
And I just love this pattern.
This was only 5,000 won.
And I believe I bought it with one of the skirts,
so I got a discount, actually.
Moving on to bottoms now.
The skirt I bought the shirt with is this long, pleated one.
And I just really like this because
it's just nice and flowy and perfect for the summer.
The other white skirt I picked up is this floral one right here.
And it's just super lovely.
And I love how it shows off a little bit of black.
Both of those were 10,000 won
but because I bought some stuff,
they give me like a 2,000 won discount,
which is something I'm always down for.
Next, we have these black shorts right here
and there's a ribbon in here.
With this, you can wear something very plain on the top
and your outfit will still look complete because of this cute detail.
Next, I bought some comfy shorts to wear around the house
and also the gym if I ever decide to go back.
And here they are. Each of these were 5,000 won each.
Both of them are gray.
And finally, something that I can never pass by
when I'm shopping underground are socks.
Korean socks are super soft.
And there are always so many to choose from.
And each of these were about 900 won.
But if you look closely at the tag, it says 3,500 won.
So if you go to certain stores,
they actually sell these socks for this price.
I've been really into these transparent-like socks.
Where it shoes a little bit of skin. It's very mesh.
And I just love how these look with tennis shoes
or even sandals.
I also got it in pink,
a striped one,
as well as just plain ones with a pink and gray detail.
I hope you guys found this video helpful.
This was one of the most highly requested videos from me
to go to an underground shopping center and share a haul.
So, I finally did it.
And don't forget to check out Q2HAN
to check out their 30,000 won outfit challenge
from Express Bus Terminal.
And I do wanna say
I love how in Korea you can buy a full cute outfit for an affordable price.
And I feel like with 30 dollars you can buy a shirt in America.
Like maybe two shirts.
Definitely check out the Korean fashion here.
If you want more fashion videos from me,
comment down below.
And in the description box,
I'll try my best to share the information on underground shopping
because it might be helpful.
