Jaime Tinker: What you will get out of a Lab? - Duration: 1:06.Hi my name's Jaime Tinker, I'm one of the Business Development Managers here at
Unlocking Potential working on their Future Focus programme. For many of the businesses
that I work with that have been on the Labs, they find it particularly
interesting to have an expert in the room and that they can use as a sounding
board. It's a dedicated space to think about their challenges, opportunities,
enjoy having time out the office, have those light bulb moments about how they
will grow or innovate, thinking about their next steps. Often the groups throw up
perfect potential collaborations, business opportunities, importantly from
the Labs the facilitators make sure that each individual business comes out with
a number of actions for them to go away and implement, I think this provides
businesses with a lot of motivation to go out go on to their next steps and
thinking about their growth and innovation plans.

GDPR and Publishing - Duration: 3:18.Hi there.
I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.
Today I am going to talk about publishing and the GDPR or General Data Protection Regulation.
The GDPR is a regulation or law in the European Union on data protection and privacy for all
individuals within the European Union.
It aims to give control back to EU citizens over their personal data and to simplify the
regulatory environment for international business by unifying the laws within the EU.
It was adopted on 27 April 2016.
It becomes enforceable from 25 May 2018.
"The proposed new EU data protection regime extends the scope of the EU data protection
law to all foreign companies processing data of EU residents."
The GDPR brings a new set of "digital rights" for EU citizens.
Publishing, with their heavy use of newsletters, scholarly journal table of contents, promotional
emails, and much more needs to pay attention and make changes to their communication process.
Companies or groups that collect, process and store personal data will become liable
for not following GDPR.
A lot has been bandied about of fines in the millions of euros for those out of compliance.
But let's take one step at a time.
The company or publisher of course needs consent from any contact that they plan on communicating
with via email.
GDPR will force publisher to closely examine the contracts they have and to ensure the
customer is clear over the details and that it complies with GDPR.
Proper record keeping will be important as well.
Understanding what third parties are doing the publisher's contacts and if they are
compliant will be important, because their lack of compliance will impact the publisher.
We've all seen websites asking about consent for the use of cookies when we arrive at the
site.
This evolving aspect will become even more important as that part of the regulation is
solidified.
In the long run, be crystal clear with the process.
No more cutting corners or obscure terms and conditions.
With the institution of GDPR in May 2018, the publisher should see some positive points.
A greater acceptance by the customer of the publisher's emails or contact, therefore
reducing the perception of spam.
Also, in the long run it will impact bad actors in the process and help legitimize communications,
so all good boats should rise.
Well that's it.
I am a publishing consultant and work with associations, publishers, and individuals
on a host of content related challenges.

READING | march wrap up - Duration: 12:19.Hey guys! What's up? It's Lainey and today I am doing my March wrap-up. I had a very
successful reading month. I read six books out of my goal of four. Also going
to be including my TBR as well as my currently reading for the month of April here.
The first book that I read was a romance book on audio and that is Sins
of Sevin by Penelope Ward. I know Penelope Ward is a very successful
romance author so I wanted to try out one of her books. Tried out this one
because it was free through the Romance Package which I have on Audible. It's
like $7 for the month in addition to the audible membership, which
is kind of annoying, but since I read so many audiobooks, or
listened to so many romance audiobooks, to me it's worth it. Anyway. I rated it a
2 out of 5. It's like... I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it, but I thought a 3
was too high, but I didn't hate it. It's surrounding a very conservative
religious family. They set up this young man, Sevin, with their daughter Elle. When he
comes and meets them, he kind of starts falling in love with the sister instead.
And it's like this big, long messy kind of relationship over a span of several
years. So I just didn't know if I liked it or not. By the time I finished it, I was
just like, rushing to finish it. Didn't really care anymore about the characters.
I think that kind of came down to the fact I just didn't care about either of
the hero or the heroine. Second book that I read this month was a reread for me
and I'm just so glad I reread it and that is a Amour Amour by Krista and Becca
Ritchie. I actually listened to this book on audio, but I do have the physical copy
because I read it back in 2014 I think? 2015? One of those years whenever it came
out and I love this book. Like, this is my favorite New Adult book that I've ever
read. And I kind of was interested to reread it to kind of see how I still
felt about it. After I finished it, I went to what I rated it when I-- when I
first read it and I rated it a 5 out of 5 and I was like, "I still think that it's a
5 out of 5 star read." This book takes place in Las Vegas surrounded by, kind of
like a Cirque de Soleil type company. Thora, who's the main character. Loved
Thora. Like, Thora is my favorite New Adult hero--heroine. She's the best.
Mostly because like, I really felt connected to her both times I read it.
Though there's been a span of years, I'm like, not the same person that I was
when I first read this, but I still felt like those same feelings of such
relatability that I have towards Thora and I still feel that way towards her.
She's an aerial artist. She kind of leaves the last year of college behind to go
audition for the circus, essentially, in Las Vegas. It's this whole journey of her
becoming better at what she does. Like, she's already good, but she knows that
she's just average and average isn't good enough in this kind of setting. So it's
showing how much she works hard to obtain her dreams, and I just like really
loved the message that it had in the book. And of course, the hero Nikolai and
he's like the best. I love him as well. And what I like most about him is he's
very supportive. He's such a supportive boyfriend when they start
getting together. I love Krista and Becca Ritchie, they're my favorite New Adult
authors. I loved the Addicted series, the Calloway sister series.
I still have Long Way Down and Some Like It Perfect to go before I move on to the
next section of that whole saga and this takes place in the same world as that
series .So, there's like, cameo references to the Calloway sisters in this book and
their dudes. And I realized this when I was reading this book and
the next book that I read, which is also a Krista and Becca Ritchie book. I think
their greatest writing strength is the way they develop their cast. I mean, this
book is told in first-person point of view with Thora. I fell so in love with
all the side characters and they're so well developed. Which I think is
really hard to do in a first-person narrative because you're seeing them
through, you know, her eyes only. Krista and Becca Ritchie do such a phenomenal job
of making you fall in love with the side characters. I'll go on to say that
they're personally my favorite authors that write side characters really well.
I highly highly recommend this book and all of their books basically, but this
one is definitely my favorite Krista and Becca Ritchie book and I listened to this
one because I wanted to read Infini, which is the second book in the series.
And this one follows one of Nikolai's brothers, Luka and I absolutely loved it.
Again, it's just like the side characters make the story so much more special.
Especially because we've seen most of these side characters in the first book.
Luca and Nikolai come from such a huge Russian-American family, so there's a
whole bunch of cousins and their brothers and their sister,
Katya. I really love them I just want a book on all of them. I would read them
and love them. I'm like, gushing about the series right now. But the second book
follows kind of friends to romance, but kind of not?
I don't know. I did like the second book, not as much as I liked the first book.
Second one was a good, solid continuation of the series. I would say that there are
trigger warnings in the second book for depression and bulimia, so that is just
an FYI if that makes you uncomfortable. Also my favorite part about this book is
that the couple is actually an interracial couple. Luka is obviously
white, or Russian-American and then the heroine, Bailey, she's mixed. So she's
half black and half white. So I really liked that. And then I read my favorite
book of the year I feel like so far. It's gonna be really hard to top it. An Ember in
the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. Oh my god. Why was I sleeping on this book for so
long? And I've had it since it came out. I was reading it so slow because I loved
it so much. I loved all the characters. I loved Elias, I love Laia and I love
Helene so much. So excited to continue on. I'm so excited for the third book.
One thing that I loved most about this book was how well Sabaa Tahir writes first
person present tense. I was so impressed with it because I think it's really hard
to write first person present tense. Mainly because I think it's really hard
to write that way. She writes it is just so... flowy. It just flows so well, it's so
pleasant to read. I love the world-building in this book and the
characters were phenomenal, and I liked how dark it got. Like this is a pretty
dark book for a YA, I feel like. The next book that I read this month was
Midnight Rescue by Elle Kennedy. This is, I think, don't quote me on this. I think this is Elle
Kennedy's first series that she wrote. I'm not quite sure, but I rated this a 2 out
of 5. Like, it was just ok. Did I like it more than I liked Sins of Sevin? Yes, a
whole lot. This book is very much like an action movie and that was one of the
things that I really liked about that. It's a very fast pace. Basically this
assassin, Abby, she intentionally blows her cover to the point where her handler--
or her boss of the assassins... girl assassins... is like, "I need some help
getting her out," because she doesn't know if she blew it on purpose or not.
Sp, she goes to this guy she has history with and is like, "Hey I need your help getting
this girl out of Colombia." They round up a team and like get her out and then
she's like, "Why the hell did you guys get me out I was like, trying to save these
girls that were being sex trafficked." So then she gets into a kind of like a thing
or whatever with one of the guys... obviously... because that's you know, it's a
romance book. They have to like kind of, work together to help rescue these girls.
There's a lot of perspectives in this book, but I actually did not care about
Abby and Kane at all. I was way more interested in the side couple that they
kept like having chapters cuz I loved that storyline and I think that's why I
rated it kind of lower because I'm like... I'm not even invested in the couple
that's kind of like in the spotlight for this book? I'm glad I read it because
I've been wanting to read the series for a while because it is Elle Kennedy and I
really like Elle Kennedy's books, but it's clear that I like her later books.
Last book that I read this month was Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas.
I've been reading Penelope Douglas's books for a while now. I read Corrupt,
which was my favorite of her books that I read so far, and then I read Bully at
the beginning of January. This one I really, really enjoyed. This one I rated
a four out of five. Basically the premise of the story is back in
elementary school, this boy named Misha and this girl named Ryen, they ended up
being pen pals. They're paired with each other by their teachers so they
started exchanging letters, but then eventually they kind of started doing it
more and more even after they got out of elementary school and they promised each
other that they wouldn't look each other up on social media. There's more of a
mystery aspect to them never meeting and I understood that because like, when you
correspond with someone online even like, when you meet them in real life do they
live up to the hype? So I really liked that aspect of it. Suddenly, he stops
writing her and then she's like, "What's going on?" I'm not saying much else about it
besides the fact that then, this "guy," (it's Misha,) comes to her school and he
doesn't tell her who he is even though he knows who she is. So I'm gonna leave
it at that. I liked the mystery aspect of it. I think
Penelope Douglas does mystery very well because I've liked the mystery aspect in Corrupt.
This also takes place in the Corrupt world because there were cameos from the
boys that are in Corrupt, so I really liked that
that nod. It takes place, you know, their senior year. It's about a couple
months before they graduate from high school and there's just some aspects in
it where I felt like it wasn't really believable? But I think that's kind of
Penelope Douglas's m.o. because I also felt like the same way about that when I
read Bully. That some of these things that were happening in high school
didn't seem very believable for how old they were? But I don't know, who knows.
Maybe that is how teenagers act now. I'm excited to continue more of her books
because I'm liking them more than I'm not liking them, so that's good.
Next I wanted to go into my currently reading. I'm reading four books right now
because I'm an idiot. I don't like reading this many books at once, but here
we are. Since it is Camp NaNoWriMo, I haven't
been able to read a lot of physical books, but I have been listening to a lot
of books just because it's easier for me to listen to a book when I'm at work or
when I'm commuting to work. Currently listening to when Dimple Met Rishi by
Sandhya Menon. I'm enjoying it. I'm probably not gonna rate it more than a
3, but I really like-- I'm really digging it so far. The reason why I'm
listening this book was because I saw it was free through the Romance Package and
I know that the author's gonna be at YallWest, which comes up in May. So I'm
like why not? I'm gonna read it so I can check it off my list, I've read one of
her books. So that's why I'm reading that one. I'm also currently reading Harry
Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I took a break from reading it for like, about a
month, but now I got back into it. I am over halfway through. I am loving it. I'm
excited to finally read the Deathly Hallows though. That's like my goal for
the next few months here. I am also currently reading The Tombs by Deborah
Schaumberg. I've been reading this book for a while because I'm not really
enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I'm not very far into it either, but I'm
reading it for review. But what's putting me off from finishing it is that the
author uses the Romani people slur that starts with a G. So that kind of
makes me uncomfortable because I know it's a slur and what makes me even more
comfortable about it is that there is a note in the back of the book, like an
author's note justifying the means for using the G word in this book for
historical accuracy? And I personally hate that term. Like, you're introducing
magic as canon in 1882 New York so you can't do that and then claim "historical
accuracy" for using a slur. So that's like, my currently
feelings on it, but I'm trying to finish it just so that I can review it.
So... yeah. That's pretty much how I feel about it. And the last book that I'm
currently reading is A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir. I'm only
two chapters into it because Camp NaNoWriMo kind of just like took over my
life, but I need to find some time to get this in because I need to read it.
When I started reading it, I was like getting all the feels again and I was just
getting really overwhelmed by how happy I was that I was reading it that I had
to put it down. I wasn't really planning on going to signings at YallWest, I
wanted like mostly stick with the panels, but I am going to stand in line
for Sabaa Tahir because now I feel like I need to tell her how much I love her
books in person. And then for my TBR, I kind of already did a TBR for what I'm
doing. It's my YallWest TBR. I want to read as many YallWest books as I can
before I get there. The next book in my queue to read is the Children of Blood
and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. I'm very excited to read this book and
everybody's talking about it and I feel left out that I'm not reading it. That's
it for me. My name is Lainey. I make videos every Monday and Friday on books and
writing and my social media links will be listed down below so you guys can
check me out other places if you'd like. I hope you guys all have a really great
day and I'll see you guys very soon, bye!

I've been invited to NASA!!!!! - Duration: 3:38.I got invited to go to NASA to see a rocket launch
Wooo!
I've been invited by the awesome team at NASA Social to head down to Cape
Canaveral Florida to watch next Monday's launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket
carrying NASA's TESS satellite into orbit.
The NASA Social program,
previously called NASA Tweetup, is an initiative by NASA to increase awareness
in their scientific programs all over the country.
This event will give me the
same access as a traditional media journalist and although I don't yet have
a formal itinerary these events usually include the opportunity to look behind
the scenes at some of NASA's facilities, participate in media briefings, attend
special facility tours as well as the opportunity to speak with scientists,
engineers, astronauts and program managers about the work happening at
NASA.
For this event I'll be flying down to Florida to watch SpaceX launch the
Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, or TESS for short.
The TESS satellite will
be launched on board SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket and will be monitoring over
500,000 stars in our solar neighborhood in search of other planets.
At liftoff,
SpaceX will be aiming to place TESS into a highly elliptical orbit that is
about 200 kilometres from the earth at its closest approach and extends out
over 250,000 kilometers at its Apogee which is about two-thirds of the way to
the moon.
At that point, the SpaceX portion of the mission will be complete
but TESS will have more adjustments to make before it reaches its final orbit.
TESS will perform several adjustments to increase its Apogee out even further
eventually performing a lunar flyby to get a gravity boost from the moon.
That gravity boost will change the orbital inclination to tilt the orbit downward
about 37 degrees and extend it out even further. One final adjustment is then
made by TESS to set its orbital period to exactly thirteen point seven days or
half of the moon's orbital period which will keep this orbit stable for decades.
Once in orbit TESS will use its four onboard cameras to map both the northern
and southern hemispheres in 13 sectors each with a planned mission duration of
two years. Now that's just the initial mission timeline and it certainly has
the potential to be extended well after that initial mission. TESS will be
monitoring the light received from distant stars to detect planets that
pass in front of those stars. If and when a planet passes in front of one of those
stars that it's monitoring, TESS will be able to detect the small drop in visual
brightness to measure the planet's mass, size and density. TESS is expected to
identify around 3,000 exoplanets with around 20 of them being considered
Earth-like and potentially habitable. This mission is essentially a
precursor for the upcoming James Webb Space Telescope. TESS will survey the
sky to locate potential candidates for the JWST to look at, which is a hundred
times more powerful than the Hubble Telescope. Every thirteen point seven
days TESS will downlink the data that it has collected back to Earth. So that's the
mission and I'm super excited! If it launches on time, this will be the first
rocket launch that I'll get to witness in person. Well there it is. I can't wait
for this trip. Let me know what questions you have about the mission and I'll be sure
to get to them. Since this NASA Social event is centered all around social
media, I'll be posting lots of updates on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube so be sure
you're following me on all three platforms so you don't miss anything.
I'm intending to live broadcast at least once every day while I'm there including
a live broadcast for the actual launch itself, assuming I can get adequate
mobile bandwidth to do so. I hope you'll join me for those: Saturday, Sunday and
Monday. This should be awesome! Thanks for checking out this video if you liked it
and you like what we do hit that thumbs up button. If you want to learn more
about my upcoming trip, check out the links in the description below. Thanks
again for watching. I'll see you in a couple days, live from Florida!

What A $65 Phone Can Do in 2018? (SPC L54 Optima Indonesia) - Duration: 4:39.Action! Hi I'm Wisnu Kumoro and welcome to my channel.
And I wanna talk about this phone, L54 Optima from SPC.
And this phone only $ 65. This is fairly cheap phone. But is it good?
For you who doesn't know about SPC, SPC Mobile is Indonesia smartphone brand and sell budget phones in Indonesia.
And this is L54 Optima. the newest phone from SPC.
And now let's see the box first. Actually this is a really nice box. It doesn't look, cheap.
You can see the main feature here is Full View LCD.
It's not using LED Display yet. Just LCD. And I know what you think
It it feels like 2008
You can also see the color options here. And on the back you can see the specification.
Quadcore 1.3 Ghz Processors, with 8 GB of ROM, and 1 GB of RAM.
there's 5 Inch Full View Screen, 4G Data Connection, USB On The Go, 8 MP Front Camera and 8 MP Camera with AF and Flash on the back.
It running Android Nougat 7.0, and it seems like you will not get Oreo update here.
Ya, what do you expect.
And now let's see what's inside the box.
This is the warranty card. Looks promising. You can see the locations of care centers where you can claim for anything happens to your device.
And I love the fact that this is the first thing you get when you open the box. Warranty card come first before the product itself.
And this is the phone. Surprisingly, it's small.
Even for my asian hand, it's small. Well let's put it aside first, let's see what's inside.
We get USB cable, 5W charger, manual guide, earphone with microphone here,
and Battery and jelly case
It's great to have free jelly case for this phone. Because it's gonna be really hard
(or you can say impossible) to find case for this phone in the market right now.
Let's try to turn it on. Let's open the back case to insert the battery here.
The battery is quite okay. It's around 2100 milliampere hour. I think it will score more than 9 or 10 hours for battery test
Maybe I will try to do it and update the result on my Instagram. so follow my instagram for the updates
And you can also use 2 sim cards in this phone with an extra micro SD card as your external storage.
And let's put the battery on and start the engine
Well maybe it takes a while... i think... a bit more...
please wait....
Finally it's on!
well it looks pretty nice. Android stock 7.0 runs fast even in 1 GB of ram device. that's cool.
And now let's try the camera the camera is not that bad but not that good also
the color in the display is a bit off. it looks blueish i think. but, maybe for some people it's still, okay?
Well this phone has no fingerprint sensor
No face unlock. Only with 1GB of ram.
It looks like a 2008 Samsung phone. It brings me back a lot of nostalgic moments right now.
But finally I find something's cool about this phone
There's a double tap to wake feature here. it's pretty cool. all you have to do is double tap to unlock the phone.
and now, we are talking about the screen. it's the main feature here and i think it works well.
the colors and brightness is decent but the speaker is... nah. I dont like it.
in general i think this one is surprisingly good it odd way. i liked the size
it fit well in my hand
but i'm not sure how much things you can do with 1GB of ram. if you want to play mobile games or demanding applications
I think you should buy faster and better phone than this.
but as a $65 phone this is a good, phone it's cheap
you can have it as your backup phone
Or you can give it to someone who never used smartphone before. This kind of people is still exist in 2018.
Especially in emerging countries like Indonesia or some parts of asia and africa.
there's a still huge market for this kind of products so for a $65 phone i think it's a good phone
And that's SPC L54 Optima, what do you think about the phone? please write your comments below
And this is my first full english video. I hope you enjoy it. And don't forget to hit the thumbs and subscribe for more videos.
And Wisnu Kumoro SIGN OUT! bye!

Life is the Fact as You See! Look again! - Duration: 3:25.Hi my love! We'll talk about reality. What is fact, and what we see. What is
real? Real is how you see the fact. Because there are actually angles, points
of view. Are there facts that are bad? Certainly.
There are facts that are definitely bad, some you need to live the mourning
of that moment, that fact. But, most of the facts you have way to see,
way to look. If you look at my hand that
way you'll say, I see something long and thin. If you look like that, it's not
fine, it's wide. So, it depends on where you are looking. From
here on, it's one way, from here to here and another way.
The facts of life are like that too. If you usually come home, and it is always
bad to get home, before you get there, you start to get conditioned:
"Oh my God, I'm going to get home, it's just going to be a problem, it's just going to have noise, it's only
going to be bad, just "It's going to be that, it's just going to be that ..." "You lose every
opportunity to see any good possibility." And it does not help,
you suffer before. that it's going to be bad when
you get to work? It does not help,
right? So, it's best not to think about it.But, and good things, does it have to be?
Does my job have someone who is cool?
Is the coffee delicious? Is the temperature good, is the "good morning"
so-and-so good, and at my house, is lying in my bed good?
Is my food good? Is it good to see my window
it's good? What I'm good at when I get home? Because at least you
start to change your look. All right, what happened
here? Wow, this has spoiled here, but what can
I learn from this, what is possible for me to grow from this problem
I have here? What can I learn, what I can do different?
How can I build life from now on? Wow, this thing
went wrong, but it was a great lesson, but it was a great learning experience. Guys, that's
it. It's how you see the fact, it's how you see the event.
You can take good things. If you see a person lying on the street,
this is very sad, but it is possible that you help, is it possible that another comes
to help? How many times do you pass someone left
a cake with a person on the street. It is not for you to judge the whole world, because
that one is left there. You see? Because others are rescued. The most important thing
is to do your part. Looking at the positive side, acting
positively, encircling positive energy. Creating a much better life.
I desire this for you. For wanting this I am also leaving
below the link for the products. They are the products that I work, seeing and have
free products too, which can help a lot.
Thank you, my love! A kiss! Take it!

Ten perfekcyjny wizerunek gwiazdy TVN, zachwyca jej fanów telewizyjnych i internetowych.
Dziennikarka pierwszy raz w rozmowie z Fleszem zdradziła tak wiele sekretów z własnego życia.
Pamiętamy słynną fotkę, na której Anna pozuje z mężem w Kalifornii.
Oboje wyglądają na bardzo zakochanych.
Och, pamiętam ten czas.
Pojechaliśmy wtedy z Maćkiem do Stanów zwiedzać Zachodnie Wybrzeże.
A ja?
