(CHLOE ANDERSON WAS RECENTLY ACCEPTED AS AN NCAA ATHLETE.
SHE WILL BE ONE OF THE NEWEST MEMBERS ON THE
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA SANTA CRUZ VOLLEYBALL TEAM.)
(THIS IS HER STORY.)
The best way I can describe it,
when I was a kid, and it's your birthday
and you have your cake with all the candles in front of you,
and people always tell you to make a wish,
and blow out the candles,
well, I cannot explain why it was my wish,
but I had always wanted to be a girl.
It was just something that I had always wanted.
(IDENTIFY)
(LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA)
(AUGUST 17TH)
(AFTER TWO YEARS AT SANTA ANA COMMUNITY COLLEGE,
CHLOE IS PREPARING TO LEAVE HER HOMETOWN AND TRANSFER TO UCSC.)
I would say volleyball came very naturally to me.
It really helped me get through high school.
A lot of high school, I was not having a very good time.
- How've you been? - I'm good.
I've missed you.
I've missed you too, my little baby.
You want to have some lunch?
- Sure, yeah. Sounds good. - OK.
So that's Chloe's graduation picture.
- Haven't seen that very often. - No.
Chloe, you know, through middle school and stuff,
super athletic and everything, which was great,
but Chloe barely made it through high school.
I mean, seriously, by the skin of her teeth.
When I hit middle school, I started to get really sad
because I realised that
I was hitting puberty, and I absolutely hated
the way my body was changing.
I wanted, you know, to be more feminine.
I wanted to be a girl.
Looking back, I had absolutely no care about anything.
I didn't want to be at school, I had no desire to do homework.
I ended up getting kicked off the volleyball team
my junior year, because my grades had dropped so low.
I realised that what I was feeling was being transgender.
I really just didn't want to exist.
- You want a Coke or something? - Sure.
- Yeah, I'll take one. - OK. Here.
Is that a... What is that, grapefruit juice?
Grapefruit juice.
Mind if I have some of that with the Coke?
No. Whatever you want.
When I came out to my mom, it was pretty funny.
I came out immediately after getting off the plane
from when I was living in Texas.
I was picking Chloe up at the airport,
and that's when Chloe told me,
"I've got to follow my true essence
"of who I am as a person."
You know of course you're like, "Uh, what?"
As a parent you're wondering, "Oh, my gosh." You know?
Initially she was really upset and I think confused,
and she didn't have a very positive initial reaction,
and it took her a while
to really come around to accept me.
I'm going to miss you being gone, I mean,
it's been tough and you need some support, and...
I'm definitely glad that you've been there.
A lot of issues I've had over the years.
Once Chloe talked to me, and I was able to embrace it,
and I stopped trying to convince her to not do that,
and I just stopped making it about me -
cos it's not about me,
it's about Chloe and living her best life,
and then I saw the wonderful things that she was doing...
How could you not support somebody
to be their best person in life?
She was the first major supportive family member I had.
So are you getting excited to play volleyball and...?
Yeah, I think it'll be...it'll be fun. It'll be an experience.
It was pretty nice to have my mom being supportive.
She came out to a few of my volleyball games,
and it was great.
She's a very loud whistler,
so it's very easy to spot when she's at a game.
- Love you. - I love you too.
- Drive careful. Bye.
Transitioning has definitely had a lot of ups and downs.
I've had some of the lowest lows since starting,
and some of the highest highs since starting.
It's...been a lot of mixed feelings.
There's a lot of people
that made me not feel like I was welcomed,
and there was a lot of average everyday things
that made me feel like I was distant
or in a different world than everyone else.
(SANTA ANA, CA COMMUNITY COLLEGE)
(HIGHLIGHT FOOTAGE)
I originally wanted to play for a college team.
When I realised I was doing fairly all right
in a community college team,
I figured that I'd try and push for an NCAA team
because it's taking it to the next level,
and it's trying to prove not only, like, to myself
but to everyone that told me I couldn't do it, that I could.
I had looked up schools in different divisions,
and of the division two schools that I spoke out to,
only a few responded when I disclosed that I was trans.
Very quickly I got rejections.
I don't know if it's connected or not.
The myth that trans athletes, specifically transgender women,
have an advantage in sports, I feel like it's kind of a fear.
It's an unfounded scientific fear.
Growing up your whole life, going through puberty,
you're kind of understanding how your body works, you know,
you get used to it.
Well, transitioning is like
going through puberty backwards,
the other direction, twice as far.
There's a noticeable difference in my athleticism.
For the first few months on hormones,
like, I had a lot of muscle pains
and my shoulders would hurt a lot,
and I realised it's all my male muscle going away.
It was pretty challenging at first
just having all my muscle basically melt off my body.
I definitely can't jump as high as I used to.
I'm driving to meet some friends out for dinner,
since it's the last time
I'll be able to see them for a while.
- How are you guys? - Hey.
- Hi. - Hi. How are you?
I'm going to miss you all a lot.
Awww!
It's really not an easy process
having a good friend group,
and having people to be there
helps me transition easier,
cos without that sort of scaffolding,
I feel like it would be a lot harder for me to pursue
what I wanted to do.
I'll see you all soon.
- Very soon. - There she goes...
(AUGUST 18TH)
(MORNING OF CHLOE'S MOVE TO UCSC)
It's funny, the last thing I grabbed before leaving
was actually my, uh, Dungeons & Dragons dice set.
I was thinking, I'm like,
"If we're gonna play D&D up at college..."
All righty.
It's, um, 5:52. So almost 6:00 am.
I woke up a little early, and just sat in bed
and stared at the ceiling.
Like, "Go back to sleep for the last ten minutes!"
And I couldn't seem to do it.
Should take us anywhere from
six to maybe seven and a half hours.
(SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA)
We're currently in Santa Cruz.
The drive was, uh, tiring,
but overall it wasn't too bad.
This campus is literally on a redwood, like, national forest.
So I think we're going the right way. I have no idea.
We shall see!
All right. Cool.
I think my biggest concerns with having a new team
is just making a new relationship with the coach,
making a new relationship with my team-mates,
and some of them can speculate if I'm trans or not,
I have no idea.
Well, the first person I spoke to about going to Santa Cruz
was Coach Morgan.
(COACH MORGAN) (UC SANTA CRUZ VOLLEYBALL)
Chloe e-mailed me, and she said,
"I'm a junior college transfer
"and I'm really looking at UC Santa Cruz,"
and I think in the same e-mail
was when she told me that she was also a transgender athlete.
Because I had gotten rejected from division two schools
really early in the fall semester,
I wanted to make it very clear for the schools
I was interested in D three
that I was just going to disclose it immediately.
UC Santa Cruz does have a very open environment,
and we really try to make that known.
I sent her some footage of me playing,
and she was really interested in me.
What I noticed with Chloe
was that she's a strong volleyball player.
She has a lot of power,
and she's also tall.
We're going to follow the trail around a little bit
to the McHenry Library where the team meeting is.
(CHLOE ATTENDS HER FIRST NCAA TEAM MEETING OF THE SEASON)
(AUGUST 19TH)
(MORNING OF FIRST TEAM PRACTICE)
Last night,
at the very end of the team meeting,
Coach Morgan was like,
"I think we should come out to the team tonight."
and I was like, "I'm not prepared for this,
"but...sure, that's fine, I'm cool with it."
And the team read an article that I had written...
(THIS TRANSGENDER COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL PLAYER
(IS HEADED TO THE NCAA)
..and at the very end, after everyone had read it,
Coach Morgan told the team that I had written the article,
and that I am a trans athlete.
I was kind of, you know, shaking my legs a little,
fiddling with my hands...
because I wasn't sure how the reaction would be.
And there was just silence.
And I'm just sitting there like,
"Oh, no, I hope this isn't a negative reaction,"
but it wasn't. It was just me overthinking things.
We all read Chloe's article.
I think most of us had already read the article
cos we'd met her at tryouts,
and so you look up your team-mates on Facebook.
Coming here, like, it's really more of an open community
and like, open-mindedness,
it's like a big aspect of the, like, college here.
I don't think, like, anyone on our team
has anything like, "Oh, my gosh, "she's transgender."
I don't think that was ever the talk between any of us.
It was more of just looking at her as another person
that's coming and trying to take, like, your playing time.
The only question I got afterwards,
the funniest question I could have been asked, was,
"Are you an English major?
"Cos this is really well written," and it was like,
"Oh... Thank you."
UCSC is a very liberal campus,
I think you either get the programme or get out.
You either accept it or you're not welcome here
cos we include everyone.
Today we're practising as a team,
but there's also going to be a few little
preliminary exercises and whatnot.
I'm just so fortunate
that my entire team has been so supportive,
and there wasn't any awkwardness.
Everyone was just, "OK."
And that's honestly the greatest feeling ever.
I'm just excited to finally
go out and play with the volleyball.
Hearing them talk about going to nationals,
and I can't believe that it's actually come to this point,
and that I made it this far.
Cruz on three. One, two, three, Cruz!
Knowing that everything is at the point that it's at
is absolutely amazing.
All my life dreams are literally coming true.
I never expected any of them to.
- Bye, Chloe. - Bye. See you tomorrow.
It's hard to describe to people
how happy it makes me to be here.
At the end of the day I'm just a person that loves volleyball,
and I want to play it.
I just love the sport that I play,
and want to try and continue to do it,
so I just keep pushing to make sure I do.

How to Get Signed by SPINNIN' RECORDS Talent Pool! (w/ Menshee!) - Duration: 10:36.
Hey guys, welcome to todays video it's going to be really, really sick because we're going
to be answering a question that I know has been on all of your minds.
How to get signed by Spinnin' Talent Pool.
Now, I may know some information on this but maybe I should call someone who's actually
been signed by Spinnin' Talent Pool.
Oh, I know who I can call...
His name is Menshee.
Now you may not know Menshee but here's a little bit about him.
Menshee is from Russia.
He's 33 years old.
He's been producing for 17 years.
And he likes to travel a lot to get inspiration.
Oh...
And his track "Never" was picked up and signed by Spinnin' Talent Pool.
Not to mention he also had a track on Armada too.
Now that you know a little bit more about him - Let's give him a call and find out the
answer to: How to get signed by Spinnin' Talent Pool.
How are you?
Thank you, I am fine, how are you?
Good, good, thanks for coming on.
Alright well let's get started with some questions.
We'll start with some easy ones.
How did you come up with the name Menshee?
I started with progressive trance music as Dennis Sander my second name but I decided
to make house music name a house music nickname for Spinnin' Records first a short name and when
you heard it you can keep it in mind: Menshee.
Yeah it's a really catchy name.
Do you have any tips for artists when they want to come up with a name?
I think it will be short and not something with numbers or symbols etc.
Not difficult to read and etc.
How long have you been producing music?
It was several years ago in 2010 when I released by first remix in progressive trance style
then I started to produce house music too it was in 2010 yes my first releases.
Can you tell us a little bit about your equipment and which daw and plugins you like to use?
Oh, I use only FL Studio.
I started with Fruity Loops 2, yes.
I use Nexus, I use Sylenth, Massive, and Spire maybe, Serum maybe is my favorite.
Yeah, Serum is awesome.
Who is your favorite DJ or Producer?
Actually, my favorite DJ & producer is Armin Van Buuren because I started to listen to
progressive trance music first.
Madison Mars a lot and Don Diablo I think maybe Curbi he makes loud sounds and
it's incredible.
What would you say that it's specifically that makes them so great?
Melodies I like the quality and etc.
I play in the clubs also, I am a DJ and I like how this music fits in the club
it sounds in the club it's really cool.
What is your favorite pizza?
I don't have a favorite pizza.
I like some with bacon because when you eat some without bacon it's a waste of money.
So, if you ever meet Menshee you gotta get him a bacon pizza.
How long have you used Talent Pool?
I used Talent Pool since 2015.
2 years yes 2 years.
I started with remixes but I had my first original track with Talent Pool wasn't until
the beginning of 2016 yes and I think my first success was with "Hit The Road".
Can you explain a little bit about when you got that email how was it how did you feel?
It was something like I got first support from Armin Van Buuren when he played my track
it was really cool I saw a message in my phone from Spinnin' Records I see oh, "Dennis hi
we wanted to use your track with Talent Pool" It was cool for me - Really awesome.
I rendered the file, I sent it with all of my information in the same minute when I saw
the message.
I would imagine that you would get it to them as fast as possible!
So the lesson is to always check your Spinnin' mail because it might not be spam they might
want your track.
Do you have a manger?
No, I don't have a manager I made it all by myself.
What do you think that it was about your song that made Spinnin' want your song?
What do you think you did in that track that made it stand out so much?
I don't know I think the track must be quality.
It's the same style maybe the mix of the styles like Spinnin' releases.
You've been producing for a while - Do you have any tips or advice for beginner or producers
who are just starting?
Yes, there was some mistakes in my career because I make a mix of progressive trance
music and when I started to make music I made a lot of remixes, a lot of tracks trying to
release it fast.
I think it's a mistake because if you want to reach success you can take your time.
Take your time, try to compare your quality with other quality.
So your biggest advice basically is to take your time and make sure you release quality
tracks that you're proud of.
Yes, yes exactly.
I noticed that you have a track with Patrick Moreno who's also been signed by a lot of
different labels like Armada and Revealed can you talk about how that collab happened?
He suggested to me to maybe collab.
Something like my style and his style.
He sent me a couple of references.
I heard it and I liked what he doing.
I saw that he released an Armada track and on other labels and I think he's a nice guy
with nice music why not because I got Patrick, he's a good producer I think it took three
or four months before a label, Eclypse Records agreed to release our track.
And it's a great track.
What do you have in the works right now?
I am working with a couple of tracks with Spinnin' Records also I have requests for
a couple labels with single tracks but it takes a lot of time.
Yeah.
I'm taking my time and making tracks.
I can make a drop in one day but then I listen to it and compare it with other tracks.
Then I make an arrangement and then I also compare that to other tracks.
I listen in headphones, maybe out of the home, maybe in the car, in the club etc and when
I understand the track is really cool, is really nice in quality I send it to the managers
or something.
Lot of comparing to make sure that the song sounds good on multiple speakers, on lots
of different you know, environments.
Very important...
Do you like cats?
Yes, exactly.
What's your cats name?
Fox - Yes he looks like fox I mean.
We're going to have to have a Skype with just our cats...
Ok hahaha.
Is there any, is there anything special about a Menshee track that makes a Menshee track
stand out?
Honestly, I don't have a unique style but when you heard from a lot of people oh man
really when I heard a track and I understand oh it's Menshee's track it's really cool.
When you, when you started producing maybe you start to copy maybe but then you reach
your own style.
So your saying after a while you get your own layout, you get your own sound from doing
a lot of tracks and you know continuing to try more songs that eventually you will have
your own foundation, your own thing.
Yes, I think so.
What's your favorite color?
Ahh ok.
My favorite color is deep blue.
Well thank you so much for doing this.
We'll put all your links and we'll tag you and everything else.
Have a good day, you too.
OK bye.
Alright bye Menshee.
Alright that was super dope.
I think that the biggest thing that Menshee would want us to take away from this video
is to make sure that your tracks are quality, that you take your time, that you get inspiration
from other big DJs, and that way you can get Spinnin' attention when you put your tracks
on Talent Pool and you send them to other labels.
I learned a lot, I know you did too so thanks again to Menshee for coming on this video.
And make sure you take a listen to some of Menshee's tracks.
I left all the Menshee links below.
If you guys have any ideas of who we should interview next or what topic you would like
us to cover.
Make sure you leave a comment below and I'll be checking them out.
And don't forget if you like Menshee and you like what he had to say - Give this video
a thumbs up.
And if you want to see more videos like this and you want to see more Kingsley like this

Presidents Moon, Trump adopt joint statement at conclusion of summit - Duration: 3:52.
As President Moon Jae-in and his U.S. counterpart drew their two-day meeting to a close, the
two leaders adopted a joint statement which embraces a wide range of pressing issues between
the two allies - all from those that the two see eye-to-eye to those that need further
discussions.
Our chief Blue House correspondent Moon Connyoung files this report from Washington D.C.
Personal rapport, established.
Bloodshed alliance, unbreakable.
Joint resolve on North Korea, confirmed.
Trade relations, open for further discussion.
That is how the two-day introduction between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and U.S.
President Donald Trump can be summed up in a nutshell.
The two fairly new heads-of-state announced the conclusion of their official summit - which
led to the adoption of a joint statement between South Korea and the United States - in the
Rose Garden of the White House, Friday.
"Together we are facing the reckless and brutal regime of North Korea.
The nuclear and ballistic missile programs of that regime require a determined response.
The era of strategic patience with the North Korean regime has failed.
Many years and it has failed.
And frankly, that patience is over."
Which is why the two have agreed on sharing ideas and trying out various options.
"President Trump and I decided to place a top priority on addressing this issue and
to coordinate closely on relevant policies.
. To this end, our two leaders will employ both
sanctions and dialogue in a phased and comprehensive approach."
While they did see eye-to-eye on the most burning national security crisis facing each
country, on issues like trade... there appeared to be room for further discussions.
"I'm encouraged by President Moon's assurances that he will work to create a level playing
field so that American workers and businesses and especially auto makers can have a fair
shake at dealing with South Korea."
Following the remarks, the U.S. media ran reports that the two leaders had agreed to
renegotiate a 2012 free trade pact between Seoul and Washington... which top Blue House
official swiftly came to deny.
"During the summit talks, President Trump pointed out U.S.' large trade deficit and
trade imbalance especially in auto and steel industries.
He raised the need for a trade deal renegotiation.
To this, President Moon stressed the mutually beneficial nature of the Korea, U.S. FTA and
proposed that officials from the two countries together assess the impact of the FTA to each
economy."
The biggest achievement from the two leaders' inaugural meeting, however, observers say,
is establishing personal chemistry between two men who couldn't be any more different
in style and history.
"It was a great opportunity for us to further the trust and friendship between President
Trump and myself."
.
"There is no denying that the two leaders still have ways to go in resolving differences
in various issues, but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step... and the
fact that the two presidents have now secured a channel for
candid discussions should be a step in the right direction.
Whether the two countries will consolidate a mutually beneficial relationship based on
bloodshed alliance will now depend on Mr. Moon, Mr. Trump and their teams.

chatty GRWM | PRIDE summer party (a chat about post-empire youtube) - Duration: 11:52.
Hi guys, hope you've been doing well since the last video. Today, I'm going to
do my makeup with you guys. I though I would do a chatty get ready with me
Because I'm going to summer party tonight
And then I thought I could upload this on PRIDE, so when you guys are getting ready to go in your parades
You can get ready with me. This is the same way I'm going to be doing my makeup for PRIDE. Starting off with some
Concealer
I won't be telling you guys brand them anything that I'm using, because I'm not really sure if I'd recommend them. I never
really invested in makeup
Even though I do enjoy using it. Also, alot of them aren't vegan and cruelty-free because I'm just kind of using them up
I'm sorry if that looks a bit creepy, but um
Yes, I don't necessarily agree with the products either, which is kind of weird, I shouldn't really be using them then
I think I'm uploading this on PRIDE
So happy... or the whole month has been PRIDE, but kind of the big final day where we all walk in parades
So happy pride. I hope you've been doing well. I hope you're safe.
You know it's always a good time to reflect back on
the struggles of
The LGBTQ+ community
Yeah, cover a few of these little pimples
I personally don't use foundation, because I have never really found it neccesary. Not that I don't have pimples
but personally it just makes my skin break out more and
I don't really think anyone expects you to not have pimples. Especially if you're a teenager
People know you have pimples anyways, so why not just not spend your money and time on it
And I'm going to go over with some powder. Oh
soon, I'm gonna reach
Hopefully, unless this all stops and all comes crashing down
I'm going to reach a hundred subscribers and that really excites me
For the 100 subscriber special, which is kind of a lame thing to do, but I really want to do it
I'm going to jump off a bridge
Oh, that has a much more dramatic than what it is
Close to where I live is a bridge that's about four meters off the water and it connects the island to the mainland
And it's proper scary though, even though it's not that high for a lot of you guys
and I thought I'd jump off that and film it because I'm scared of water and scared of heights, so
You know it will be a little push. I was actually gonna, in my head
I was hoping I could jump from ten meters
but that's just to be said dangerous when you're not as strong a swimmer like I am
But when... I'm not a strong swimmer is what I'm trying to say
Not that I'll drown. I'm not gonna risk my life for a YouTube video
Yet!
Then I'm going to go
Over the middle of my eyes with some
This champagne color. I definitely don't know anything about makeup. So really don't trust me
I just hope you enjoy kind of hanging out. And then I'm going to go in with this deeper rose gold color
Here, I do this kind of roughly because I'm going to end up blending it all out anyway
What have I been up to lately? I thought I could give you guys a little life update, so what have I been doing
I've been making videos twice a week, that's been a lot of fun. I'm on summer holidays now, I'm just really enjoying myself. I've been up with friends
I've been going to a few parties, I'm going to another party tonight. This sounds like I'm bragging
I'm not bragging. I've just kind of surprised myself that I've got so many parties to go to
I'm invited to a party tomorrow that I won't be able to go, cause it's quite far away and I have to work on Saturday
Which is when this is coming out, and then on Saturday I'm invited to this PRIDE party which is going to be on the beach
I've also been
Exercising more which is always a good thing. I think your goal should always be to kind of
Not exercise for the way you look, but you know for your health and the way you feel. For me
I've been doing it for my mental health mostly
Blend blend blend. Yeah, that's been nice, I've been jogging with this app called Zombies run and
You guys probably don't know this, but zombies are like one of my greatest passions in life. Have been for a long time
And being able to have like a zombie story at the same time as jogging has been a lot of fun
It's been really encouraging me to exercise
Probably not getting the most flattering shots of me
wots goin on 'ere
but
is that ok? is that what i wanted?
Looks good
Looks dandy.Quickly gonna brush over my eyebrow, not gonna fill anything in you know whatever. You're
eyebrows are your eyebrows. How much can you really care? You know I've been hearing people say
they judge people based on the eyebrows, and they'd probably hate me, oh my Lord, but
What you doing about that? I feel like if you're gonna judge someone based up their eyebrows. Maybe we wouldn't get along anyways but
thats just a theory. A GAME THEORY
Thanks for watching
Okay, I've got this new eyeliner
I'm going to have to go closer to the mirror
It's okay. It's doable considering this is a new pen, I'd say it's a decent effort.
There you go
Got two
got two little
Wings here, so hopefully that will do that's okay. That's okay. That's not awful
Now I'm gonna put on some mascara. To be fair, I've never really liked the way Mascara looks which might be a weird thing to say
especially cause I'm putting it on, but yeah
I always thought that kind of natural eyelashes look so soft as soon as you put on Mascara it looks, so
Harsh and if it's a lump you can get kinda spidery
So obviously, if I just had a proper good Mascara that would probably be better but.. The thing about this Mascara
that I've got here, is I think it's actually made for people who have false lashes because
big this wand. It's huge. It's about the same size as my eye
something I've been thinking about since last night, cause I was watching a video by
Bobby Burns or something it was kind of like a
movie-review-YouTube-review Channel
and really cool, really good content
And he was talking about something called empire and post empire. And empire is kind of like if you imagine Jimmy fallon
You know like fake, people-pleaser. Fake maybe isn't the first word I would have used, but you know people-pleaser they're kind of making very positive content
We have that whole PewDiePie video about false positivity on Youtube and then post empire is kind of more
He used Charlie sheen as an example necessary think that is the best example
But I'm pretty much someone that makes kind of gritty real videos
That are honest and that kind of wonders where on that spectrum of my so my last video was cool
What makes me happy but it starts to be fair for me that video is?
Even though it tries to be positive. I think it's kind of a sad video. I made it because I
wasn't still I'm kind of in a rough place, and I wanted something kind of
anyone visits a video that expressed that at the same time that wasn't just like I'm really really anxious all the time you know because
that's not really even
If that would be kind of more realistic that's not something I kind of identify with there's not just not how I view myself nowadays
Sit next thing some blush. Yeah, I don't think there's as much to gain on kind of
seeking
pure
Realism like is that
Allowed to say, but I also think that just faking a positivity is really something
That you gain much out of you this I think kind of finding a middle balance where you can
Both and grow and learn from Someone's videos at the same time
It's not fake and it's not obviously in genuine I
Also put blush on my nose. Which is inspired by this some ages ago. I was watching this harajuku
Makeup tutorial yeah, I very much enjoyed Japanese street style and apparently it makes bracelet cuter
And I think so too like having that look sunburned really probably glancing on me
Yeah, I very much. Enjoy it one of the five things men do but glitter on my face now
This is Christopher my friend, Nora. Thank you, Nora. I don't really have any proper way to stick it on
It's just a hobby crafting business
apparently
Yeah, hopefully my blush and my moisturizer will be enough to stick you know. I don't have any primers. I'm not like super hardcore makeup
Artist to kind of wish I was but I'm not
so
Yeah, also when you think of prime makeup you probably think you're like a lot of colors and stuff
But to be fair I only have one eyeshadow palette speaking it where you put highlighter on the river
Which is really the whole kind of highlighter?
Trend is it even a trend or is it just like it was previously an underappreciated makeup product
Thank you guys so much for you know
supporting the channel and commenting and like my videos by the way it really means a
Lot to me
I felt you don't monetize my videos at all and not really new for any particular reason like I'm not like empty monetization
Just personally I wouldn't gain that much. I brother I probably unlike
Statically couldn't free pan and I quite enjoy my videos not having any
Absalom the ones that do have as the ones that have been taken for copyright
Which it doesn't really I don't want to just like putin
Not all of them should have been pretty much what I'm trying to say a little bit on my nose
Looks a bit silly, but I think I look cute
There you go, it's got all glitter
just missing a little bit Youtube recently to be fair and
Oh, I'm going to put on some lipstick
I know that's what brown lipstick would suit me, but then my mum confident in the home so thick and
I've got proper curious as to what it would look like so try it on I actually think that looks quite nice with my hair
so
Turn this on
Milik oh that's that's a mirror. Sorry about that. I'm looking dad here
I'm ready now because my viewfinder, and I'm very not used to putting makeup on before a camera
Did it I guess you turned. I was very like 9 I did accept that it was funny
If I can find those kids eyes on because they are really funny looking back
And I would just like smeared pink and black
I said on my face
Sometimes I've never done a video like this where I just talk to the camera
So tell me what you guys think of it because I still more
Comfortable doing voiceovers like what I do journaling, so I think I just because I'm more used to it and if you guys find
If you guys just enjoy these videos
Pretty much and tell me so see I don't want to make them if no one's enjoying them. I enjoy making them of course
Hey
there are some lipstick and
I knew those
along
This is the way
Facebook, I hope you guys enjoyed this video
Thank you so much for watching if you want to feel free to subscribe. It'll be very very nice
how you going to part of the channel and
Yeah, have a lovely time until the next video alright

Fitter Food Talks.... Comfort Eating - Duration: 12:08.
- (laughs softly) Ready?
Come on, though I'm sure my nose is bright red.
- (laughs) Who's intro-ing then?
- Me, I'll do it. Hi guys Keris here from Fitter Food
with the awesome--
- Me.
- Matt. And today we're going to be chatting
about proper eating. - Yay.
- Woohoo - Five tips to comfort eating.
- Let's do it properly.
And to comfort eat effectively.
- Make sure you get the best out of it, no.
- To get real comfort.
- We know that it's not really a laughing matter
because comfort eating can cause a lot of emotional distress
and we know because we both do it occasionally.
We've had bigger battles in the past with it.
I'd say both of us have had some real kind of times
in our life where we've really,
that this has been a big issue for us
and now we've kind of got a bit more of a hold over things
we've got a better kind of, I'd say better mental health,
better kind of understanding of our bodies
so we can see triggers, we can pre-empt,
okay I can see I'm just gonna want
to absolutely smash a huge bar of chocolate
in this situation so we kind of make steps.
Put steps in place to stop that happening essentially.
We thought we'd talk to you guys about it today.
I was actually gonna start by asking Matt,
when was the last time you would say,
and we should also just differentiate between,
both Matt and I have situations where we go out
and decide that we're gonna have a bottle of wine,
a big bowl of chips, and a dessert.
That's not comfort eating,
that's like every night. No, sorry.
- That's embracing a healthy lifestyle.
- That's moderation, yeah. 80/20. We do that,
we don't consider that comfort eating
and we don't tend to go out together
and say let's just drown our sorrows in this food.
But when you do, do that sort of thing
both of us would probably, I'd definitely try to do it
more secretly from you and-- - Oh
It's all coming out now. - (laughs) But so do you.
So do you. I would say I kind of sneak off.
Generally because I'm kind of in need
of just a little mood boost
or I'm bored, boredom is my biggest trigger.
And I won't kind of mention to you I'm gonna go
eat a load of chocolate but I do.
With you I would definitely say, Matt is worse than me,
he's a proper Bridget Jones, aren't you?
- I'm a colossal comfort eater.
- Yeah you are, in terms of frequency and amount.
- It's no secret, it's no secret.
- And I will generally hear, he'll to do it secretly,
and I'll hear a little--
- So I'll try to do it secretly.
- Yeah, try to do it secretly.
- Stealth mode.
- But I know where stuff is in the kitchen
and I'll hear the 'chink chink' of a jar.
The fridge or the freezer when he opens it
pretty much shakes. - Have you made it that way?
- Yeah, little traps. I go Matt, what are you doing?
If it's peanut M&M's, it's dead obvious
because you hear the 'chinkle chinkle chinkle'.
- They are far too noisy. They are far too noisy.
- But both of us as I mention,
kind of have things that we do in advance.
It doesn't always work, sometimes we just,
okay, whatever, but we also have things
that we don't do anymore in response to comfort eating.
Wouldn't you say? - 100%.
- So we don't then go, okay next day
we're gonna smash the gym, gonna get that out of our system.
That does not work. - Yeah I mean,
I suppose I was gonna say we both do still seek comfort
from food at times, you know, just like everybody else
but I suppose, over the years, we're just I suppose
better equipped to make smarter comfort eating decisions
if you like. - Dark chocolate, not milk.
- Probably what you do, to be fair, you only really
eat dark chocolate, you just, some days I'll be like
oh there was 100 gram bar here about five minutes ago.
Where's that gone? Where's my bit?
But I suppose it's more of the aftermath
of a binge, if you like, for whatever reason
because something's kicked off at work,
or you've had a barney with a family member
or whatever it may be that has caused you
to seek comfort from food.
It's normally the after effects
that cause the biggest problems.
Because for a lot of people,
let's say you are on a diet plan, a nutrition plan,
whatever it may be, you're trying to lose weight whatever.
And you've had a moment, you've raided the freezer
and you've got, my choice is always ice cream, yay.
Which can and is very much part of my healthy lifestyle
because sometimes I choose to have ice cream.
So I'm like, you know what, I'm gonna have a treat.
Gonna treat myself, oh I've not tried that flavour before.
I'll have that and we'll watch a film
and I'll eat the whole tub, damn it. Every single drop.
And I don't regret it, or feel bad about it
I don't sweat it, next day is a new day.
So now, what I try to do,
is I try to replicate that if I've comfort ate.
So if I have had a moment where things have, I don't know,
been stressful at work, long hours,
the usual kind of suspects if you like
and I'm just like oh sod it, where's the ice cream at
or whatever it may be and you know, eat a tub of ice cream.
Probably don't enjoy it as much
because I'm probably eating it
for an emotional reason as opposed to a choice
and a treat so you never quite enjoy it as much anyway
then you feel a little bit crappy afterwards
because you're like you know, feel a bit bloated,
you have a sugar crash, whatever.
Where as the difference now is, I can actually happily,
not continue that binge and go, you know what,
I've had me ice cream, go to sleep, and the next day
start my day off fresh. You know I don't start thinking
oh gosh that's my diet out the window, oh sod it,
I might as well start again on Monday, the classic line,
and I'll just start my day being a walk with Hamish,
a gym set, a nice solid protein and fat based breakfast
which is how I tend to start most days anyway.
And I'm right back into the groove, so to speak.
So like I say, still comfort eat,
but just deal with it better.
- A good takeaway from what Matt just said
is just be kind to yourself afterwards--
- Takeaway? I've been going for a while.
- So don't think the next day you've got to smash yourself
in the gym, think of some form of exercise
that you would look forward to that morning.
So it might be a walk, yoga, a dance session,
it might be a gym session, but do it
because you're like yup, do you know what,
I'm fired up, I'm ready to go,
I've got a bit of extra energy going on,
so I can go and train. So do something,
because one of the reasons that we basically will hit
or head towards comfort eating is usually
we're trying to escape the situation
and we're trying to seek reward in something.
So take a step back, maybe you go and eat the chocolate,
maybe you have the ice cream, but then take a step back
and think about what caused that situation to happen
and then do your best to deal with it the next day
so generally a bit of exercise is gonna help lift your mood
so then you've got a bit of stamina, a bit of power,
to go right I'm gonna tackle this head on now
whatever it was that caused it.
And for me, so I mentioned boredom is a big trigger for me
so then I will go somewhere and I'll set myself a goal
of finishing this boring task and maybe be somewhere quiet
like a library or something so I won't be distracted.
Phone goes off, internet's off, nail the task,
I'm done, I'm dusted and then I'm kind of free to go.
And that in itself will just boost my mood
to get that sense of achievement
and so I'm kind of over the whole situation
and like you, I never try and out-train the fact
that I ate too much chocolate. It always backfires
because if anything, you might of kind of had--
- But you used to. - I used to.
I used to. - And get upset.
- We both did and we both learned the hard way
that you're kind of derailing your blood sugar levels
and then trying to over train
depleting various different nutrients
maybe causing even more hormonal issues
because it's just too much stress for the body
and what you kind of need to do is step back
and look at the cause of that situation.
So our kind of main tips would be basically,
know what your triggers are and try and do something
about those triggers so if it's boredom,
think of the situations and try and work around those.
Be in an environment where you can be much more efficient
and productive with your time.
So you can get boring tasks done quicker.
If it's more kind of emotional,
then seek some kind of support, this could be counselling,
it could be meditation, yoga, it could be just calling
your best mate and talking it through.
Someone who's gonna help you, support you a little bit.
Don't kind of be a closed book about stuff
and then it just all come out in a big bag of peanut M&M's.
- More so as well like-- - Wait a minute.
I'm summarising here.
- I was gonna add to the summary, but carry on.
Whilst you're in the flow. - Okay.
Don't try and out-train it the next day,
but do try and do some form of exercise
that you love that's gonna boost your mood
and then kind of give you the kind of energy to carry on
and kind of make good decisions and like Matt said
have a good breakfast ready the next day
and maybe a good few meals. - Or just your next meal.
- Yeah, your next few meals, have those prepped ready.
I tend to favour higher protein
because it's the building blocks
of good mood brain chemicals so I know high-protein
always kind of gets me back on track.
Don't necessarily stay that way, but just for a few meals
I'll up that and then I'll feel better
and I'll go right, okay back to my normal routine of eating.
What were you gonna add? - Well I was just gonna say--
- Sorry Matthew. - You know, think about
like if you start seeing a common pattern
between what your triggers are
and identify them like Keris said
but also start thinking back to the last time
you comfort ate and say to yourself well did it work?
- Yes, fair point. - Did it make this pain
or the stress go away? Chances are it didn't.
What kind of put you in that state of mind
in the first place will still be there once you've gotten
to the bottom of the tub of ice cream.
It offers you that very small window of I suppose
brief satisfaction which is normally often followed
by a bit of guilt, regret, and then possibly like a--
- Stomach ache. - Stomach ache.
- Because negative kind of domino effects,
if you like, that could really derail you both in a,
let's just forget about fat loss for a moment,
but for your health, your well-being,
your energy levels and your kind of like future mood.
- I always remember that someone said to me about
if you want to motivate yourself to exercise,
you have to kind of capture and remember the moment
when you get that endorphin high and then something like
you can press on your palm isn't there?
Can't remember what it is. - Really?
- And it makes you remember that sensation, that feeling,
and then when you want to run, you press on your palm
or your thumb or something, I can't remember exactly.
And you get that same,
that kind of draw towards running again because you're like,
I want to have that feeling,
so maybe the same thing would work
when you're kind of post comfort eating,
feeling a bit grotty, but you do need to kind of capture
that feeling and think before you go there
do you really want to go there?
Ask yourself that question, do I really want to,
how am I gonna feel at the very end of this?
And really kind of be strong and say this to yourself
over and over again. Make that statement.
Do I really want to feel like that again?
- And that's just such a good point
because I think chances are if you are comfort eating
you've done it in the past multiple times.
You probably know how it makes you feel later on
in that day, the following day. Funny enough,
we were actually having this conversation earlier
about like if you're always constantly trying to out train
a bad diet or a binge or a whatever.
Yeah gosh what a boring way to exercise
constantly trying to fight against this discomfort eating
or whatever it may be or an excess of calories.
And it really kind of takes away
from what exercise is and how good it is for you.
Exercise isn't just for weight management.
There's so many health benefits to lifting weights
and running and moving and walking and whatever else.
But that's another video because we've waffled.
- Yup. - My good lord.
This was supposed to be a quick video, Keris.
- But hopefully it's been useful--
- I certainly hope so. - and I think there are--
a lot of good points. - I certainly hope so.
But guys if you have liked the video, if you can relate
to what we're talking about, hit comment below,
tag some pals, share the video even, that'd be amazing.
And no doubt, the more of these we do, the better we'll get.
- More succinct. - We won't be waffling
for 12 minutes. It's caught up too much of your day.
But guys wherever you are, whatever you're doing,
have an awesome day and always reach out to us here
at Fitter Food with any questions
because we are here to help you, aren't we?
- We are. - Bye.
- Bye.

I used to be so happy but without you here I feel so low
I watched you as you left but I can never seem to let you go
cause once upon a time you were my everything
its clear to see that time hasn't changed a thing
it's buried deep inside me, but I feel it's something you should know
I will never forget you
You will always be by my side
From the day that I met you
I knew that I would love you till the day I die
and I will never want much more
and in my heart I will always be sure
I will never forget you
and you will always be by my side
