NEW STUDIES HAVE FOUND THE HOMELESSNESS AMONG COLLEGE

STUDENTS CONTINUES TO BE A BIG PROBLEM AND IT MIGHT

ACTUALLY BE A LARGER PROBLEM THAN PREVIOUSLY BELIEVED.

THERE HAVE BEEN A NUMBER OF STUDIES, THREE RECENTLY, THAT

LOOK SPECIFICALLY AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS AND THE NUMBER

THAT ARE CONSIDERED EITHER HOMELESS OR ITS CALL IT

PRECARIOUSLY HOUSED.

INDIVIDUALS WHO MAY BE STAYING WITH FRIENDS ARE LIVING IN

SHELTERS, THINGS LIKE THAT.

THE STUDY SUGGEST THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS AT COMMUNITY COLLEGES

NATIONWIDE COULD BE CONSIDERED HOMELESS OR PRECARIOUSLY

HOUSE EITHER BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN HOLT THROWN OUT OF HOME,

EVICTED, OR SLEEP IN A SHELTER, CAR OR ABANDONED BUILDING.

THERE WERE RESEARCHERS FROM TEMPLE UNIVERSITY IN

PHILADELPHIA THIS PHYSICALLY LOOKED AT THIS ISSUE AND THEY

FOUND OUT THAT ANYWHERE BETWEEN 12 TO 14% OF THE STUDENTS ARE

EITHER HOMELESS OR PRECARIOUSLY HOUSED, AND I THINK THE MOST

INTERESTING PART ABOUT ALL OF THIS IS THE KIND OF REACTION

PEOPLE ARE HAVING TO THE STORY.

THE REACTION IS, WELL IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO GO TO COLLEGE,

YOU CAN AFFORD TO PUT A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD SO STOP

WHINING AND CRYING ABOUT IT.

WHEN I CAME ACROSS A STORY, I WAS SUPER CURIOUS TO SEE

WHAT THE COMMENT SECTION INCLUDED.

IS THIS WEIRD DISCONNECT.

YOU HAVE THESE PEOPLE WHO ARGUE, STOP WHINING, PICK YOURSELF

UP BY THE BOOTSTRAPS AND GET YOUR EDUCATION AND THEN GET

A GOOD JOB.

OKAY, BUT EDUCATION IS OBVIOUSLY EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE EVEN IN

SOME COMMUNITY COLLEGES CAN BE PRICEY, AND YOU CAN'T GET A

JOB AT THIS POINT WITHOUT SOME SORT OF HIGHER EDUCATION.

ALSO, IF YOU ARE GOING TO SCHOOL DESPITE THE FACT THAT YOU

DON'T EVEN HAVE A HOUSE, ANYWHERE DELIVER SLIP, THAT

IS PICKING YOURSELF UP BY THE BOOTSTRAPS.

IT DOESN'T GET

ANY MORE BOOTSTRAPS THAN THAT.

IF YOU ARE SLEEPING IN YOUR

CAR GOING TO COLLEGE ANYWAY BECAUSE YOU ARE DESPERATE

TO GET AN EDUCATION.

YOU SHOULD BE THE CONSERVATIVE DREAM GUY.

LOOK AT HOW

HARD THEY ARE WORKING TO GET IT AHEAD IN LIFE.

BUT I'M GOING TO BE BOTH SIDES HERE IN A SENSE BECAUSE NOW

I AM GOING TO CRITICIZE LIBERALS OR PROGRESSIVES OR WHOEVER

DID THIS STUDY FOR USING WORDS LIKE PRECARIOUSLY HOUSED.

YOU'RE GOING TO SAY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

BUT LOOK, A LOT OF PEOPLE HERE, SOMEONE IS PRECARIOUSLY

HOUSED, THEY TURN OFF.

I WOULD HAVE STUCK WITH HOMELESS OR NOT HOMELESS BECAUSE I

PUT THEM IN A CATEGORY.

YOU DON'T HAVE A HOME.

CAR IS NOT A HOME.

WE'RE DEBATING ABOUT TERMS.

I WILL TELL YOU WHY BECAUSE IT HAS BAD OPTICS, MAN.

WHEN YOU TELL PEOPLE THAT DUDE IS EMPLOYED, BUT HE IS

UNDEREMPLOYED BECAUSE WE FEEL LIKE YOU SHOULD HAVE A

BETTER JOB, PEOPLE GO I AM DONE WITH THESE GUYS.

WHEN YOU SAY PRECARIOUSLY HOUSE, HE HAS A HOUSE BUT

SHOULD LOOK UP TO AND NOT BE TREATED WITH DISDAIN.

THIS IS BECOME SUCH A BIG PROBLEM THAT THERE ARE

PUBLIC FIGURES GETTING INVOLVED, TRYING TO DONATE MONEY AND

HELP STUDENTS WHO DON'T HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE BUT REALLY DO

WANT TO GET AN EDUCATION.

BIG SEAN, HE IS A RAP ARTIST, SEAN ANDERSON, HE HAS A

FOUNDATION KNOWN AS THE SEAN ANDERSON FOUNDATION AND HE HAS

DONATED SOME MONEY TO AN ORGANIZATION THAT SPECIFICALLY

HELPS STUDENTS WHO DON'T HAVE HOUSING, THEY HAVE NOWHERE

TO LIVE.

THEY ARE LIVING ON THE STREETS, AND I THINK IT IS

FIGURES ARE DOING THE SAME.

THEIR WEALTHIER THAT THEIR PARENTS ARE WEALTHY.

A LOT OF COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE STRUGGLING AS IT IS AND

THEN IMAGINE IF THESE KIDS HAVE BEEN DISOWNED BY THEIR

FAMILIES OR DON'T HAVE FAMILIES.

MAYBE THEY WERE BROUGHT UP IN THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM.

THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD A REALLY TOUGH FOR THEIR

ENTIRE LIVES AND THEY NEED A LITTLE BIT OF HELP.

THAT IS OKAY.

IT IS OKAY TO GET THAT HELP THE

EVERYBODY HAS A DIFFERENT PERCEPTION THAT YOU SAY

COLLEGE AND PEOPLE THINK HARVARD, PENN STATE, WHATEVER.

How to make an inexpensive low-pressure aeroponic system - Version 2 - Full Video - Duration: 25:14.

Hi this is Peter Stanley

I'm going to make a new

low pressure aeroponics system

I made one last year and

It worked really well but there's some improvements I can make

One, I think I over complicated it

also I didn't have much of a reservoir

so I was running out of nutrients and I didn't have an easy way to change the nutrients

and everything I did kind of disturbed the roots so

I'm going to switch to a two bucket system

so the plant will go in the lid

and

I'll drill a center hole

basically the

main bucket's going to have holes drilled around it and in the bottom

there'll be a center hole

in the very bottom

that the submersible pump will attach through

and the spray manifold will connect

to that from the inside

and then this will

sink down inside the outer bucket

which will have the nutrient solution that'll come up through the holes

and so

everything will be self contained in the top bucket so I won't have to mess with the roots

and if I want to change the nutrients I just lift it out

and put it in another bucket that has fresh nutrients

so

I've cut

the parts that I need and I'll put the

these in the description

this is a 396 gallon per hour submersible pump

and

probably overkill for this maybe but

they're relatively cheap, I think this one's like

22.00 but I found another

brand that looks identical, I think it was Apollo Horticulture

for like 10.00

I'll put links in the description

I'm using 1/2 inch PVC

and this is a 1/2 inch threaded adapter

that screws in

and

it fits a 1/2 inch

pipe on the other side

and I don't remember what it's called exactly but I'll put that in the description

I've got a tiny piece of

1/2 inch wedged in here, I can't get it out

so basically

two 1/2 inch couplers

two caps

is, drill that and

these will kind of just wedge in there

and they're not going to come out

so that's another step that simplifies

and I'll show you what

I can't think of that

brad point, that's the type of drill bit

I've got a set of these, but

you could buy just one

so it's a 11/64 inch brad point bit

and I'm going to show

how to do that but I'm going to

go ahead and drill all these

come back, that way it'll save some time

these are the parts that are going to cement together

this is going to go through the hole of the bucket

I need to push these a little tighter

it does fit once it's put together right

so I'm going to drill

a hole here

I don't know. I'll decide when I'm drilling. I think I'm going to put

three, maybe four that'll be pointing up

and I might put

some on the corners pointing down for when the roots grow down

but the more nozzles you put, the less pressure

you have, that's my only concern. But this should be ok

there and possibly

some on the corners

so anyway, I'll drill these and come back to that

what I'm going to do now is

go ahead and drill holes in my bucket

so I want to do a

hole in the very bottom for my

pump and I don't

have the exact

bit, to make a perfect hole for the half inch

pvc, I need a

bit a little bit larger but

I'm going to just use what I've got, and I'm going to take a knife and open it up.

basically I need a hole just big enough for that to fit through

nice tight fit

so this will go on the bottom of that

that'll be like that

this would connect

in there, but I need to

put those together to actually

make that work, but

yeah, so that should work

so I've got that

I'm going to go ahead and

also, I need to figure out

how far to drill my holes

alright so I'm going ahead and

drill some holes

going to start with drilling a bunch of big holes

do a few smaller holes

trim out all these little pieces too

cut a hole for the

pump cord to come back through

so all of it can stay togehter

and I probably could just

drill a few more holes

to the side and cut them out to make a big enough

hole for the cord to go through

probably need to be

on the edge

so that fits in there

so that'll be coming back up

out of the top

that way everything can stay contained within this internal bucket

also

I gonna use a

3 inch net pot

in the lid

so I'll go ahead and drill a

3 inch hole

and I'm also gonna put

a couple 1/4 inch holes

around

so I can zip tie

the basket in there really well

basically what I did

was cut a

roughly mark so I know

where to drill

1/4 inch holes so it'll be outside

this hole

on these

I like to start it slowly

in the forward position and then switch it to reverse

and

this really soft plastic it'll cut through it okay

a lot of times, it seems like it does a cleaner cut

in plastic, I know it's not proper and all

that's how I do it, it seems to work

I learned that watching

I believe it was Khang Starr

and now switch it into reverse

the three inch net put I'll put in there and I'll zip tie it

really tight so the plant won't fall out

I guess one thing I can do

glue my

piece in here

glue it into one of these

put it in here

and

so basically

wedge these together

put through here

so one of these I can go ahead

glue it in

I hope this stuff's still good

you get this as a

when you buy these it always comes together

but it's

one's the primer

and the other is a cement

primer and this stuff might not even

be good it's been so long

since I've used it

I probably need to wear gloves too

primer on like that

definitely need to wash my hands

so these are the coated parts where the cement's going to go

this is going to wedge into

okay so what I'm gonna do is

clean up my mess, wash my hands

install my spray nozzles

okay so I got this cleaned up and

here's the pump

put some moisture on these

I noticed this is a little rocky so

I put the suction cups back on

coff lid

kind of stabilize it

and I think it'll stay on there, I just don't have a

so that's how that, this looks and

I decided to only go with three

sprayers, I don't have any underneath, just three total

so that should

work fine

so this would actually

be on here

so anyway, that's that and

I'm not gonna put the lid on just yet, I want to do a spray ttest

with some water

just to see how that works, I'll show you that

only thing

I'm a little bit worried about

is with the extra height of the bucket

I don't have quite as much head room

got this up

as high as Ican

timer for the lights

and I've also got a minute timer

that should run

on five minutes and off five minutes and just cycle back and forth

and the fan is also plugged into that so that'll

coincide with the pump

I've this kind of pump

non stop

and didn't have any problems with it but

I just want to see how it does

so far

it seems to be doing okay

okay so it's been about 2 1/2 months since I

started this and

see how much it has grown

leaves starting to

curl a little bit, it was up

a lot closer to my

my light so I moved it down

here a little bit

I think it was getting too much heat ut

it's got a nice

canopy on it, the

it's got some flowers, I don't think there are any pods just yet

I moved it out of the grow tent

it seemed like it was

wasn't growing quite as fast I think it was

would've actually been a lot

bigger if I put it under this light to begin with

can here it's running now'

I'm gonna

probably plug this up on the porch

for a day or two, let it run outside, see how it does

I think it'll fruit really well if I do that

anyway, let me

unplug this, we'll pull it up and take a look at the roots and everything

it's already grown down

Hey, everyone welcome to this new format that I'm calling Sunday Sends in which I'm going to be making short videos sharing just one ascent

That for whatever reason I find interesting. I'm gonna give you some context explaining why I find this particular ascent interesting

we're going to start with a problem from the

2014 World championships in Munich this was the third problem in the semi-finals. In my opinion

It was probably the hardest problem in the entire competition

only two climbers managed to get the top

Tsukuru Hori from Japan who needed three tries and Dmitry Sharafutdinov from Russia who flashed the problem

And I'm choosing to start with this problem

Because well dmitry has just won his 10th national title in Russia

And he's one of my favorites ever and one of the best ever

he has been world champion three time, has won a ton of medals in World Cups has won the overall world cup

This is the kind of problem in which Dmitry really excels

Those situations in which some other climbers may be thinking ok this is too painful

This is perhaps a little bit risky for my fingers. So I'm not going to try a hundred percent

But Dmitry has none of that. Dmitry gives 110 percent each try and I think it shows in this in this clip

Hey Earthlings! I'm Mika welcome to another video

summer is here for good I'm melting as I speak even though it's almost like seven

o'clock in the afternoon no matter everybody's melting everything

is melting so hot this is a very special video because it's a collaboration with

my good friends when in fact the name of her channel is I wear a bow and this is

very special because my first video here on YouTube was about a boat well it

wasn't about a bow I was making a bow you know what I mean we decided to do a

really summery da right which is to take a teacher a really large man's size

t-shirt and transform it to a summer dress to did kind of a more romantic

style and I did a edgier style I think she did an amazing job which is really

good really talented and the links in her video it will be the first link in

the description down below I definitely definitely subscribe to her because she

makes amazing videos amazing the WHI videos grab a t-shirt way too big for

you and long enough for your desired dress length keep in mind the straps

will add a few inches layer t-shirts flat on the table and take another dress

that fits you and it's somewhat the same level of stretch in this material it

doesn't have to be a dress a tank top will do just fine and use it as a

pattern to copy make sure you're not cutting the design in a weird place mark

and cut only the front layer to get an even cut on both sides cut one

side first and then fold it in the middle to copy mirror image to the other

side I'll use this to cut the back piece as well

now I'm cheating here a little and cutting the back a few centimetres wider

because I got to confidence with the front now let's work on the neck lines I

want an open back so I'm cutting a straight line right where the armholes

end now line the two pieces by having the good sides together and saw straight

stitch from the armholes to the waist now you must have something like this

almost every t-shirt address reconstruction a found online was for a

bodycon dress I don't really like that style to be honest and I don't feel it's

my body although much if you have the confidence to wear it but kudos to you

but today we'll make this especially for us pear shape wink take an extra piece

of fabric and cut two triangles to basically fill in the gap

it's better if it's exactly the same color but if it isn't a perfect match

no biggie measure cut put good sites together and solve this is like sewing

two slices of pizza exactly what my hips are made of me I love pizza

last step is to make the straps cut see long rectangular from the leftover

fabric saw straight stitch and use a safety pin to turn them inside out add

them to the dress by putting good sites together if there are much thinner then

wrap them from both sides like so to make an X at the back the left strap has

to go to the right side and the opposite not exactly rocket science but the trick

is to self a strap right on the side seams of the dress and not to the edge

of the back this way LLL sit more nicely instead of having

the straps pulling it

Donald Trump posts wrestling video showing beating CNN | Donald Trump wrestling video - Duration: 5:35.

President Donald Trump is being accused of encouraging violence against reporters after

he tweeted a bizarre edited video clip of himself 'beating up CNN.'

The video appeared to be a modified version of a 2007 appearance by Trump at World Wrestling

Entertainment's WrestleMania 23 promotion, in which Trump 'takes down' WWE Chairman Vince

McMahon.

In Sunday's video, McMahon's head has been replaced with the CNN logo.

After Trump appears to beat on the CNN effigy, a logo, 'FNN Fraud News Network' appears at

the bottom of the screen in script similar to that of CNN.

The 71-year-old president captioned the tweet he sent around 9.45am with '#FraudNewsCNN

#FNN'.

The official @POTUS handle also retweeted the video that appears to be a literal embodiment

of his assault against the media.

The tweet comes one day after Trump publicly pondered over 'changing the name #FakeNews

CNN to #FraudNewsCNN!' and claimed his use of social media was 'MODERN DAY PRESIDENTIAL.'

But three days prior, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed 'the President

in no way, form or fashion has ever promoted or encouraged violence.'

The video tweet Trump sent Sunday morning apparently came directly from a Reddit thread

aimed at alt-right, far-right, and Trump supporters where it began circulating earlier this week.

It's unclear how the president became aware of the edited clip.

The Cable News Network's PR Twitter account responded to the president's tweet via Twitter

by quoting Sanders They also tweeted: 'It is a sad day when the

President of the United States encourages violence against reporters.

'Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so.'

CNN added that that Trump is engaged in 'juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office.'

As a presidential candidate and as commander-in-chief, Trump has repeatedly made known his disdain

for the media, calling it 'the enemy of the American people' and frequently referring

to mainstream news organizations as 'failing' or 'fake news.'

Sanders has yet to comment on Trump's tweet, but Homeland Security Adviser Tom Bossert

watched the clip the president tweeted for the first time during his appearance on ABC

News' 'This Week'

While watching, Bossert appeared to be speechless before he quickly launched into the administration's

talking points.

He told host Martha Raddatz that he was 'pretty proud of the president for developing a ... social

media platform where he can talk directly to the American people.'

'In fact, he's the most genuine President and the most non-politician president that

we've seen in my lifetime ... Whatever the content of that particular tweet is or any

tweet, he's demonstrated a genuine ability to communicate to the people,' Bossert told

Raddatz.

When pressed by Raddatz on that particular tweet seeming like 'a threat,' Bossert replied,

'I think that no one would perceive that as a threat.

I hope they don't.'

The president's attacks on the press have seemingly escalated this week as he rebuked

his Twitter mockery of MSNBC's Morning Joe hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.

'I'm President and they're not,' Trump said during a Saturday night speech at the Kennedy

Center meant to honor veterans.

'We won and they lost ... The fact is, the press has destroyed themselves because they

went too far, instead of being subtle and smart.'

Trump's Sunday morning tweet drew criticism and outrage from many members of the media

and politicians.

Congresswoman and Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi

tweeted: 'Violence & violent imagery to bully the press must be rejected.

This #July4th, celebrate freedom of the press, guardians to our democracy'

CNN's Jim Acosta fired back and tweeted, 'Isn't pro wrestling fake?'

'The speed with which we're recapitulating the decline and fall of Rome is impressive.

What took Rome centuries we're achieving in months,' tweeted Bill Kristol, a conservative

commentator and editor-at-large of The Weekly Standard.

Ana Navarro, a CNN, ABC and Telemundo contributor tweeted:

'America, stand against this.

Trump is going to end up getting a media person killed w/this incitement to violence.

Maybe then, he'll stop.'

CNN's Andrew Kaczynski tweeted: 'This tweet is juvenile and probably beneath dignity of

what president should do – still IMO bit overboard in how everyone's reacting.

'Calling the press 'the enemy of the American people' was in my opinion 1000x worse than

that tweet taken from Reddit.

'And the environment is bad.

And every journalist I know has a deeply ominous feeling about what this rhetoric is encouraging.

'I know I'm not the only one, but this year is the first time I ever received actual death

threats.

hey guys it's Mike today chipper and I are going to be sharing with you four to

five windows tips and tricks that are going to allow you to become more

organized more efficient and just overall allow you to get more work done

in less time I am Mk the CPA and along with my

sidekick chipper we teach people personal finances investing taxes and

more as you guys know normally I makes videos geared around personal finances

and taxes however in today's video I'm going to be sharing with you some life

and career tips things that I do and you is using Microsoft Windows to be more

organized and more efficient I use these things on daily basis and I'm excited to

share these things with you guys so let's get started

now nothing I'm going to show you guys is magical in fact you might already

know most of this stuff but maybe you're not using these features to your

advantage okay guys the tips we're going to be talking about today are going to

be specifically focused around organization if we are on organized and

things are cluttered studies have shown we can easily wait four to five hours

every single week just looking for stuff a 40-hour work week that's roughly 10%

of your time right there so we're going to look at helping you eliminate that

then the first tip is we're going to start with the Windows desktop and

getting yourself uncluttered

okay guys the first tip is really an obvious one that's really to clean up

your desktop and I really encourage this is our desktop right here and I really

encourage you to use that as much as possible because whatever is on your

desktop is right there in front of you you don't have to go digging further

into the file directories of Windows etc it's right here all for you to access

now the mistake I see many people make and I used to do this myself to be

honest is leave this a mess we want to clean this up as soon as possible and a

lot of this stuff now in this case I'm going to delete all of this but let's

say you had files you didn't know what to do with or whether or not you should

delete them but what you can do is or what I do is I like to create a folder

called stuff to go through so what I would do is I would highlight all this

right here if I didn't want to delete it and I wasn't sure what to do with it I

would then drag it to this stuff to go through folder and now look how clean

this desktop is it's almost it's almost too clean

now you can just focus on your task at hand and that overwhelming amount of

files is out of your face but it's all still right here if you need

and now let's talk about how do we get easy access to our programs that we want

to use the most and to do that we use pin to start menu and pin the taskbar

now our taskbar is right here and I believe there is a limited number I'm

not a hundred cincher but I believe there's a limited number of items you

can pin down here correct me if I'm wrong please let me know if you can pin

more I would love to know but the other area is if you want to pin to the Start

menu this is your Windows Start menu I am on Windows 10 as you guys can see but

I believe this should work for Windows XP and above but let's say there's a

program that you want to use a lot and this can be any program on your computer

whether it's at home or at work and this let's say we want to use audacity a lot

when for my videos that I produce I do use that ASCII quite a bit and so it's

probably a program that I would use frequently enough I want to put it along

with taskbar so I can get it quickly and the way to do that is I would just right

click and I would find under more pin to taskbar now this program is on my

taskbar right here and you can also use pin to start menu so let's say let's say

I wanted to use Diablo let's say Diablo 3 which is a game I have I wanted to use

this a lot and I wanted to show up in the Start menu we'll never opened it all

right well what you can do is I can do right click on I would do a pin to start

and boom there it is right here so now I can move this up and so now whenever I

go back to my Start menu it's right there look how quick I was able to

access that so think about the software programs you use the most and that you

want to have the access to the easiest and put them along here or put them

right here in your Start menu and it will save you a ton of time I promise

check it out

okay guys tip number three is to really make the time to get organized because

it is so worth your time now I have a series of folders that I've organized

with YouTube but let's pretend I wasn't organized at all let's pretend I had to

go there from scratch let me show you how long this takes so to get there I

have to go to start menu I would click on this PC and then I would click on

volume D because I know it's there and then I would go to backup to cyber PC

because that's where I've stored all the stuff and finally down here I have

YouTube but I'm still not at the videos I want so now I have to go to videos

created by me and now I'm finally here now can you infer had to go through to

get to this point can you imagine how often or how much time this would take

me if I didn't know exactly where that was well the thing to do is to make the

time to create desktop shortcuts so instead of me going through all these

file paths what I should have done is now that I found this main folder and

you have to find the main directory to this folder if I just want to get to my

videos faster I can create a desktop shortcut so what I'll do is I would

right click and then go down here to see where it says sin to see how it says

desktop create shortcut so what it's going to do is it's going to create a

shortcut directly to that file and boom so there it is right there

so now wash so now instead of going through seven steps to see all my videos

now all I have to do is click this and I'm instantly there and you can do that

for each of these folders you know you can make shortcuts for anything really

and what I would recommend doing is to take this one step further and create a

folder you know something that makes sense to you and let's say you wanted to

have all of your YouTube shortcuts anything related to YouTube well you can

put a YouTube folder right here and then are you like I'm going to call it

YouTube in this case I'm going to move my shortcuts to here and then I can do a

shortcut to anything I that's related to my YouTube channel and

information and files all in one folder and it looks so nice and neat because

now my desktop is still clean it's still uncluttered but I can just access all

this information very quickly so make the time to create these desktop

shortcuts I can't begin to describe how much time this simple little trick will

do you by just taking a few seconds to create shortcuts with the stuff you use

the most

okay guys ready for tip number four and then I'll still keep watching because

then I'll show I saved the best tip for last that most people do not know about

and I learned recently and it is so powerful so let me show you I think this

is a Windows 10 feature but you can actually instead of we talked about

pinning the taskbar we talked about pinning the Start menu but in Windows 10

I corrected me like I said correct me if I'm wrong guys but I think this is the

only Windows 10 there's a thing called quick access so if you have Windows 10

you can actually pin stuff to this quick access bar now this quick access bar is

always going to show up whenever you open a folder you can open up any folder

of any kind and see how it's there watch I'll go back to YouTube folder I just

made and it's there too so basically whatever you want to pin along here you

can so like if I want to go to the main YouTube folder are the main YouTube file

directory and I want to say okay my laptop music is really important to me

and I want to make sure I can access anytime what I would do is I would

right-click on laptop music and then do go into quick access and bam there it is

it's number one you can you can arrange these in whatever order you wanted so if

you wanted this to be to the very top look even above your desktop you could

you can move it back down here it's like wherever you want to move it wherever

what makes sense to you whoops I guess I got a pool I got a pool

of this one up there we go so I guess you can't pull it down that way but you

guys you guys get the idea is it's really easy to pin stuff to this quick

access menu and this will save you time whenever you open up a folder you know

the stuff you need will be right there

okay guys I've saved the best for last and it deals with using hotkeys to get

to things even faster and hotkeys will work for a programmer file shortcuts and

also actual shortcuts to folders and a shortcut is something we were looking at

just a few minutes ago but see this little arrow right here on this folder

that little arrow indicates it's a shortcut and the same is true for

Program Files so if you have a little arrow next to the program it means the

shortcut path to that program so what I'm going to show you guys is how you

can set hotkeys to access these folders instantly just by using a quick touch of

your keyboard so let's say Microsoft Office Excel Microsoft Excel is a

program people use all the time especially at work

so let's find this so I go to my Start menu and I already have Microsoft Excel

pinned here i'ma show you guys how to do this but what I would do is I would

right click to get to it and I would go to more and I would go to open file

location' obviously if you go to my PC and go down through the file directories

you can find it the same way but this is a quicker way for me to find it so I'm

going to go to open file location' and now as you can see it takes us to this

Microsoft Office folder and if you look here see no I'm using a Microsoft 2007

on my personal computer don't judge me because it's free but you

see this little shortcut arrow right here as long as there's a shortcut arrow

this will work if there's not a shortcut arrow it's not going to work but yeah if

you don't have a shortcut arrow just do you know right click send the desktop

create shortcut and then that's how you can get that shortcut arrow now now

here's what's cool so let's say you want to make this a hotkey command so that is

this program will open instantly so what you want to do is you going to right

click go down to properties now see where it's a shortcut up here

there's this first page it opens this first tab see where it says shortcut key

see how it says none well right now there's no programmed shortcut for this

file but we can change that so just click your mouse cursor here and I'm

going to do all f12 as my shortcut key all f12 and now I'm going to hit apply

and says I need administrator privileges so I'm the administrator so I'm gonna

click OK and now I've hit applied now I'm just going to hit OK

now watch guys this is frickin sweet so now I'm hitting alt f12 on my keyboard 1

2 3 boom instantly I am right to this program I don't even have to use my

mouse now as long as I ever remembered what hotkeys I've said it to and the

same is true for your shortcut folders if you go to any of these shortcut

folders like earlier we're looking at this video one see where it says if I

right click on this and go down to properties same thing I can make a

shortcut key here so I'm going to do alt f11 I'm gonna hit apply I'm going to get

out of it and now watch this 1 2 3 all step 11 bone I'm right to my photos and

clips are left I guess I selected this one but I'm right to it this is going to

save you guys so much time it's saved I can't tell you how many minutes the save

all the clicking around I used to do and whatnot

by using these five tricks I know these are all basic really new newbie stuff

really but if you use this to your advantage all in unison you will save

not only minutes but they'll those minutes you save will adds up to hours

and days over the course of your life and in your work and in your personal

life hey guys I really hope you got a lot of those five tips I know they're

all very basic but if you just make the time to get organized create desktop

shortcuts clean up your desktop organize your folders accordingly and pin your

most-used programs to your taskbar your Start menu and even the folders

themselves and use hotkeys all in unison you are going to be a time-saving

machine the thing I didn't mention about not only are you guys are going to be

more efficient work more productive but it's going to help you communicate

better at work and the reason that is is because when somebody asks you ask for

something from you you're going to be so quick to respond to them because your

files are going to be very organized and you're going to know right where to go

define what you need they're going to look back at you and

say he's really got it together my question of the week is what do you guys

do to stay organized at work with your computer files on using Windows is there

anything that I didn't mention that you feel I should have or what other tricks

10 Creepy Unsolved Mysteries From Arkansas - Duration: 17:57.

10 Old Mike.

In the early 1900s, down in Nevada County, the man who would come to be known as "Old

Mike" was a familiar face in and around the city of Prescott.

A traveling salesman, he would swing by each month to sell stationery to homes and local

businesses.

He occasionally stayed overnight, but he always left the following day on the afternoon train.One

day, residents found Mike lying motionless under a tree.

He had apparently passed away the night before.

Knowing him only by his first name—and after a postmortem search failed to turn up any

identification—the townspeople did the only sensible thing they could think of.

They embalmed him and put his corpse on display outside of the local funeral home.

That's where Mike sat for the next six decades.

He was originally placed there in hopes that someone would identify him or claim the body,

but no one ever came forward.

Eventually, in 1975, the state attorney general's office requested that he be buried, and Mike

was finally laid to rest later that May.

His true identity will likely forever remain a mystery.

9 Ghost Lights.

Ghost lights—or "will-o'-the-wisps," as they're known in Europe—are staples

of paranormal folklore.

Like a handful of other states in the South, Arkansas has two ghostly orbs of its own,

one in Gurdon and another in Crossett.

Both are similar in appearance, with witnesses describing them as glowing white lights that

occasionally move throughout the woods.

What's more, both lights share equally murky origins.

The Gurdon Light was first spotted in the early 1930s, following the murder of a railroad

foreman.

Local researchers point to the gruesome slaying of William McClain for the legend's authenticity.

Meanwhile, the Crossett Light also originated from a fatal railroad incident, this time

with the unlucky worker being beheaded by the train.

The legend's telling varies, though, with one version claiming that the light is the

ghost of the decapitated rail worker looking for his head.

Another attributes the light to his wife's lantern, as she eternally searches for her

husband's body.

8 The Fouke Monster.

When traveling through southwest Arkansas, we advise sticking to the main roads.

Those brave enough to wander into the woods risk running into the nefarious Fouke Monster.

Also called "the Southern Sasquatch," sightings of the Fouke Monster date back to

the 1940s, but arguably the most famous accounts occurred in the early '70s.

In 1971, Bobby Ford told police that he was attacked by a man-like creature standing over

2 meters (7 ft) tall with red eyes.

Ford claimed that he'd spotted the beast only days before on a hunting trip, and decided

to shoot at it with his buddies.

It was on his porch and presumably seeking revenge.Before being treated at the hospital

for minor injuries, Ford explained to the officers that he routinely spotted the monster

on his property terrorizing his livestock, so they decided to investigate.

The police failed to find any blood from a supposed wound inflicted by Ford, but they

did find a strange set of tracks out in the woods, as well as scratches on Ford's door.

A reporter from the local paper thought enough of the incident to file a story, earning the

attention of low-budget filmmakers, who turned the encounter into a clumsy horror movie that

propelled the creature to national stardom.

The movie spawned four sequels.

The History Channel even got in on the action, sending its MonsterQuest team to investigate

in 2009.

In recent years, sightings have been sporadic.

While the '70s saw interest in the Fouke Monster peak—a local radio station even

put out a bounty for its capture—the late '90s was the last time the mysterious beast

ever saw a resurgence in popularity.

To further muddy the legend, independent researchers have argued that the tracks found by Ford

and others were forgeries.

Dr. Frank Schambagh, a professor at Southern Arkansas University, said that the tracks

were man-made and that the anatomy of the Fouke Monster didn't fit with the known

species of primates.

Either way, we'll take our chances with the well-lit, paved areas of Fouke when passing

through.

7 Crop Circles.

Crop circles first popped up in Arkansas in summer 2003.

They appeared as a series of 10 circles as large as 9 meters in diameter.

Two more appeared in the following years—one in 2004 in Peach Orchard and another in Delaplaine

three years later, two towns less than five miles apart.

In recent years, more designs have been popping up in southern areas of the state as well.There's

not much evidence to support ET being behind the crop circles, and farmers are similarly

skeptical that it's the work of pranksters.

As of this writing, though, no one has come forward claiming responsibility.

6 The Crawford Disappearance.

Arkansas was a hotbed for mob activity in the first half of the 20th century.

Al Capone was a frequent visitor to the state in the 1920s, spending ample time in Hot Springs

to bet on horse races at Oaklawn and relax in some of the many bathhouses that lined

Central Avenue.

Naturally, a state this friendly to mobsters was bound to have a fair amount of shady business

deals.

That's where Maud Crawford came in.A well-known public figure in Camden and a pioneer for

women in Arkansas, Crawford worked as a court stenographer before she decided to take the

bar exam.

Having had no formal legal classes, she aced the exam and eventually became an expert in

abstract and title law.

At the time of her disappearance, she was even assisting Sen. John McClellan with a

congressional investigation into supposed mob ties with organized labor.

Crawford's last known whereabouts place her at home.Her husband, Clyde, returned to

their house to find her car still in the driveway, the TV on, and money in her purse.

Their supposed guard dog wasn't even fazed.

The police began searching for her the next morning, but found few clues as to what could

have caused her disappearance.

Her body was never recovered.In the mid-1980s, a series of articles in The Arkansas Gazette

alleged that her disappearance involved Arkansas State Police Commissioner Mike Berg.

Crawford was looking into a potentially illegal transfer of assets between Berg and some of

his family members.

Only days before disappearing, she had confronted him face-to-face about the issue.

According to the articles, Odis A. Henley, the officer originally assigned to the case,

reported to his superiors that all the evidence he uncovered implicated Berg as her killer.

This contradicted official statements from the Ouachita Sheriff's department that they

had yet to turn up any clues in her disappearance.

His findings did little to sway the rest of the force, Henry recounted, and he was reportedly

told by his superiors that "there's too much money involved" before being reassigned.

Adding to the intrigue, all of his files on Crawford disappeared after a short trip away

from the office.

Legally declared dead by Ouachita County in 1969, Crawford's death was found to be the

result of "foul play perpetrated by person or persons unknown."

5 The Guy Earthquake Swarms.

A small community just north of Little Rock, Guy wasn't accustomed to drawing national

attention.

That all changed in 2010, when a series of relatively minor earthquakes shook the town.

The first swarm struck in fall 2010, with most quakes registering under 2.0 on the Richter

scale, meaning not everyone in town may have felt or even noticed the shaking.

However, the swarms continued over the next two years and increased in magnitude, with

one reaching as high as 4.7 in February 2011.With the trembling becoming more noticeable, residents

began to wonder if the quakes were a result of hydraulic fracturing techniques being used

to drill for oil and gas in the area.

The Arkansas Geological Survey was called out to investigate, and while the group noted

that there is some evidence that fracking can cause minor earthquakes, they found no

link between the drilling and these particular swarms.

Earthquake swarms aren't entirely unusual in Arkansas.

The state's had a handful of them before, but none have reached the magnitude of those

in Guy.

Through 2013, over 500 quakes have rocked the town.

As northeast corner of Arkansas was home to one of the country's most violent swarms—the

1811-12 New Madrid earthquakes—the seemingly endless quakes have left some residents particularly

on edge.

4 The Moonlight Murders.

The sleepy town of Texarkana was shaken by a series of vicious slayings in the spring

of 1946.

The white-hooded "Phantom Killer" preyed on young couples who escaped to secluded areas

late at night.

He was only active for a three-week period between April and May, but in that span, he

attacked eight people, killing five.

In an effort to halt the violence and capture the suspect, police put the city under lockdown

each day at dusk, patrolling the streets in heavily armed patrols.Just as mysteriously

as the killings started, however, they subsided.

Police quickly orchestrated an intense investigation.

Key witnesses were examined, leads were hunted down, evidence was poured over—but nothing

concrete ever came from it.

All investigators could confirm was that the killer was a man who wore a white hood, preferred

to attack young people late at night in isolated areas, and often used a gun to kill his victims.Relatively

little new information ever surfaced in subsequent years.

Adding to the creepiness of the case, some self-proclaimed web-sleuths have tenuously

linked the Phantom with San Francisco's notorious Zodiac Killer.

They cite both killers' specific victims, method of operation, preferred murder weapon,

and the similar—albeit stretched—time period as evidence of a connection.Nearly

three decades after the investigation hit a dead end, Texarkana's Charles B. Pierce

made a movie loosely based off of the events, titled The Town That Dreaded Sundown.

A remake is tentatively scheduled to start production later this year.

3 The Edwards Murder.

In the 1970s, Arkansas wasn't the most hospitable place for an unwed mother of three.

When Linda Edwards got a job as dispatcher for the Garland County Sheriff's Office,

she considered it a godsend—but just six months after joining the force, she vanished.

Rumors began to circulate that the man she had been having an affair with, Sgt.

Thurman Abernathy, had gotten her pregnant.

She wanted to keep the baby, he didn't.

When a fight broke out between the two, he allegedly killed her.

Along with their stormy relationship, further implicating Abernathy in her murder was testimony

from Edwards' friend, Mary Patterson, who told police that Edwards was going to meet

Abernathy the night she disappeared.While the missing person's case dragged on for

close to a year, things took a frightening turn when a hunter stumbled upon Edwards'

partially buried remains in the woods.

Medical examiners reported that she died from blunt-force trauma to her skull.

A few months later, Abernathy was formally charged with her murder.Knowing that most

of the evidence against him was hearsay, Abernathy decided to appeal his case.

While the appeal wound its way through the courts, the case was passed along to newly

appointed prosecutor Dan Harmon.

Harmon dropped all charges against Abernathy, who had recently been promoted to lieutenant.

A grand jury agreed with him, citing insufficient evidence.

Despite an intense statewide investigation, no tangible evidence has ever surfaced linking

Abernathy to Edwards' murder, and the case remains unsolved.

2 John Glasgow Vanishes.

The idea that someone could complete disappear in the digital age seems rather implausible,

but that's exactly what John Glasgow did in 2008.

Whether it was by choice, though, we'll never know.

A prominent figure in the Little Rock construction industry, Glasgow was raking in a seven-figure

salary as CEO of CDI Contractors when he—allegedly—backed out of his driveway at 5:15 a.m. on January

28 to leave for work.

That's the last time anyone ever saw him.It's never been confirmed that the person reversing

his black SUV was him, but when his office called his wife later that day asking where

he was, she knew something was terribly wrong.

It was unusual for husband not to keep in touch.

Within hours, she had organized a search party.

They traveled to Petit Jean Mountain, the location of his last cell phone signal, and

found his SUV parked outside the Mather Lodge.

Inside the vehicle they recovered his phone, two credit cards, and his laptop.

The only items missing were his keys and wallet.

The trail went cold from there.In the days following his disappearance, rumors started

circulating.

Some said that it was a result of his "strained" relationship with Dillard's, the parent

company of CDI, as he was being audited at the time.

Friends said he was anxious over it.

Others countered that he was in "good spirits" before he vanished.

Eventually, Glasgow and his company were cleared of anything illegal by the audit.

However, investigators noted that Glasgow received a hefty bonus before he vanished.

They thought maybe that was evidence of a possible ransom or extortion, but the money

in his bank accounts hasn't been touched.The case took a strange turn in 2012, when Jonathan

Brawner, a convicted felon and prison barber at the Faulkner County jail, made local headlines

after claiming that he and a few accomplices had buried Glasgow four years prior.

An exhaustive search of the area returned no corroborating evidence, however, and new

evidence of his whereabouts has yet to surface.

1 The Train Deaths.

Arguably the state's most notorious cold case, the mysterious deaths of Don Henry and

Kevin Ives still haunt Central Arkansas.

In the early morning hours of August 23, 1987, the mangled bodies of Henry and Ives were

discovered on a set of railroad tracks in Bryant, a suburb just south of Little Rock.

The train's engineer didn't see the boys in time to stop.

He told police that they were laying motionless on the tracks, parallel to one another with

their arms straight down at their sides, their bodies partially covered by a green tarp.The

initial investigation was swift.

Police ruled their deaths accidental, with the state medical examiner declaring that

they were under the influence of marijuana and had passed out on the tracks.

However, the boys' parents didn't agree with that conclusion—they were certain their

sons died of foul play.

After fighting to get the case reopened, they finally succeed in early 1988 when a new prosecutor

was assigned to the case.

One of Richard Garrett's first directives was to have the bodies exhumed for further

examination.His findings where chilling, to say the least.

Medical examiners reported that both boys had suffered injuries prior to the train accident.

Henry's shirt was in tatters, with lacerations all over his body indicative of stabbing.

Ives, meanwhile, had blunt force trauma to his skull.

Examiners concluded that both were dead before being run over by the train.

The reported green tarp was never seen again.Then things got weirder.

Witnesses came forward with testimony that they'd seen police officers beating the

boys "senseless" before tossing them in the back of a truck and speeding off.

Others reported seeing a man in military fatigues loitering near the section of tracks where

the boys' bodies were discovered.

Speculation began to rise, with many residents wondering if the boys had simply been in the

wrong place at the wrong time.

Maybe they had seen a "drug drop" that was connected to alleged cocaine smuggling

via the Mena Airport.

Others insisted that they saw a Bryant official—that Dan Harmon fellow we mentioned earlier, to

be exact—partaking in a drug deal, and the boys were simply victims of being potential

witnesses that could jeopardize a political career.

Harmon was later arrested on charges for running a drug ring, selling primarily cocaine, from

his office.

The parents did see some justice from all these developments.

A grand jury reversed its original verdict of "probable homicide" to "definite

homicide" and Arkansans haven't forgotten the boys on the tracks.

Residents honored their memory with a memorial last spring.

After 25 years, though, it appears as if the case will forever remain unsolved.
