Hello, and welcome again to another
Rapalje Show episode
And we have some new topics in this video like an interview with Sean Cannon
from the Dubliners
And I show you how we managed to perform at a concert in the south of Germany
when we were organizing the Zomerfolk festival in the north of the Netherlands
Well, I like to introduce you to a band that's playing
Al the way where we came from we don't wanna know
I play with pints of lager and whiskey, scotch and all that stuff
I'm just rocking down the way, Go back to Donegal
'Cause! Home is where my friends are and you are all part of me
I leave you with this song. Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
I sing: Home is where my friends are and you are all part of me
I leave you with this song. Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
Hello. I'm a Maceál from Rapalje and in this video
We show you much more than in the past videos
because we have so much to talk about, so much to show
I'm shooting lot of videos lately
and we have so much material
We really would like to show you
Like the video with Sean Cannon
I'm wearing a t-shirt from The Dublin Legends right now. You also know them as The Dubliners
and in the end of this video
I've got the start of an interview with Sean Cannon
We organized the fifth Rapalje Zomerfolk Festival
Or better said: David Myles did
This is how to terrain looked a couple of days before this festival
I'm now at the center of Groninger Stonehenge
and it's how, eh..
The area looks right now, the festival, and eh..
building up on the Wednesday.
I'll show you around ,here we go
Still preparing
It's the Groninger Stonehenge
And there you go. Also testing my camera
Because we already booked a concert
one and a half year before our festival
And we didn't knew the date of our festival
when we have booked for a concert. We always perform at this concert
There's no way that we try to get around it
or to cancel it or to schedule it on another date
So this festival is already booked
and then this same weekend
we organized our own Zomerfolk festival
So we found a way
To get there in south of Germany
and also attend at our own festival in time
in the north of The Netherlands again
So Pieter en Jeroen prepared
the nightliner from Koos
one day before we traveled to this other festival
We drove off in the middle of the night
But first we had to pick up William
at the highway at the beginning of our journey
I love you true Alida but I think I'm gonna leave you
I don't want to sit at this place watching years go by
We're sitting with your fatty on your ugly satty
You're watching soaps and do fck it all down in Donegal
When the barman rings the bell
And announces to everybody:
Ain't you got no homes to go?
Well I sing: "I ain't got no home in this world anymore
I'm just passing through"
The next morning
at a very short night of sleep for me
We already arrived at Maulbronn
And we will perform at the Klosterfest
and while William and Dieb were still sleeping
we found a spot for our breakfast
In the town of Maulbronn
so we prepare the stage
We did a soundcheck and the rest of the day
we had to find some ways to entertain ourselves
You are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
Home is where my friends are
You are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
I sing: Home is where my friends are
and you are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me now?
Well, I'd like to introduce you to the band that's playing
All the way where we came from, you don't want to know
I play with pints of lager and whiskey, scotch and all that stuff
I'm just rocking down the way. Go back to Donegal
'Cause! Home is where my friends are And you are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
Home is where my friends are You are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
Play six and reels and jigs at one time
And I'm just gonna walk that line
I don't care what you think
I keep just rolling on
I went on through St. Prady's
where I saw a lot of ladies
But none of them is as beautiful as down in Donegal
'Cause! Home is where my friends are
and you are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
Say! Home is where my friends are
and you are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
I love ladies, And I can't get enough
And I dance with them 'till my legs fall of
On the dancefloor where I'm King
I'm just moving on
I'm drinking 'till I fall down
Me arms and legs are scattered around
In the bar of Rotterdam, once I dreamed of Donegal
'Cause! Home is where my friends are and you are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
Home is where my friends are You are all part of me
I leave you with this song
Are you coming, are you going, are you trying to stop me
And after this day in the beautiful medieval town of Maulbronn in Germany
We started our show in the night,
and we had a great concert from over one and a half hours
I love you true Alida but I think I'm gonna leave you
I don't want to sit at this place
after a short night of almost no sleep
I waked up in the beautiful Stadspark from Groningen
Where the preparations for the Zomerfolk festival
are ready and where we perform
three times that day
So first let's find a cup of coffee
Well I see I ain't got no home in this world anymore
I'm just passing through
Home is where my friends are
In the next Rapalje Shows we'll show you some more videos
