Youtube daily report w Jul 22 2017

I was walking down the street the other day Tryna distract myself

But then I see your face Oh wait, that's someone else

Ohh, tryna play it coy Tryna make it disappear

But just like the battle of Troy There's nothing subtle here

In my room there's a king size space Bigger than it used to be

If you want you can rent that place Call me an amenity

Even if it's in my dreams

Ooh you're taking up a fraction of my mind Ooh every time I watch you serpentine

Oh I'm tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin' I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Oh tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin' I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Not to think about you No, no, no, no

Not to think about you No, no, no, no

Oh I'm tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin' I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Oh tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin' I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Not to give in to you No, no, no, no

Not to give in to you

With my feelings on fire Guess I'm a bad liar

I see how your attention builds It's like looking in a mirror

Your touch like a happy pill But still all we do is fear

What could possibly happen next?

Can we focus on the love?

Paint my kiss across your chest If you're the art, I'll be the brush

All of my feelings on fire Guess I'm a bad liar

And oh baby let's make reality, actuality, a reality

Oh baby let's make reality, actuality, a reality

Oh, oh, I'm tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin' I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

Oh tryin', I'm tryin', I'm tryin' I'm tryin', I'm tryin'

The Meaning of Life - Duration: 8:04.

Hey guys, Culture here!

Usually I use this time to point out some sort of issue I have with how society operates

in the 21st century or break down how our interpersonal interactions can be flawed.

Trust me, there are plenty more gripes I have, but today I want to switch gears a little

bit and approach a topic from a more positive standpoint.

Every day you wake up, you do something and then you go to bed.

That's life in a nutshell.

But what is that "something" in the middle that's so worth waking up for?

I'm not trying to act emo, I actually plan on giving an answer, but I wonder how many

people take some time out to think about life on a grand scheme.

If you want to be philosophical about it, a fair question would be "What's the meaning

of life?"

If there's no overarching force guiding us or directing us, which let's assume for

now that there isn't, then perhaps the more pertinent question to us is "How can I create

meaning in my life?"

The way I see it, we can give life meaning in one of two ways: We can live the happiest

life possible, or we can leave a legacy behind for after our life is over.

Of course ideally, we can achieve both of these things.

So let's zoom in a bit closer and see if we can play the perfect game.

Happiness is such an essential part of our lives that it goes without explanation.

But nailing down the *types* of happiness we feel is a much more complex endeavour,

and one which I'm not going to even attempt to complete.

Instead I'll simplify happiness into two forms.

The first is the type that we might get on a Saturday night out with friends.

It's laughing at a joke, it's getting drunk, it's being stupid for fun and, if

you're lucky, it's getting lucky.

It's basic, it's hedonistic.

Hedonism is the pursuit of pleasure and self-indulgence and this is a way many people gain happiness

from their life.

Perhaps the issue with this tactic is that of highs and lows.

That is to say, is it possible to maintain that high indefinitely?

To never experience the fallout from your actions?

To not crash?

No, not *that* Crash, he is far from living the ideal life.

But he is hedonistic, and maybe he's a good example of what I'm talking about here.

Ultimately this type of happiness is superficial and fleeting.

I'm not going to say it's a bad way to live your life but it certainly doesn't

appeal to me.

The second type of happiness is satisfaction, the positive feeling you get from accomplishing

a goal.

This could be any goal whether it's performing a song, finishing a book, or literally scoring

a goal in your soccer game.

Of course, as you can see just from these examples, the goals can be large or small.

But all of these examples follow the same two steps: Setup and Payoff.

Let's take the example of making a YouTube video to explain what I mean because… well,

it's pretty obvious why.

The Setup is writing, recording, animating, editing and a bunch of other small jobs in-between.

It's hard work, frustration and a lot of time spent trying to squeeze out creativity

logs.

Eventually though, you produce the end product and release it to an audience.

The Payoff is getting to see the audience engage in the work, respond to it and share

it with their friends.

These rant videos are essentially a platform for my own opinions so seeing people discuss

what I say is enjoyable and helps improve my own understanding of the world.

But if we were to concede that the Setup is inevitably unenjoyable then we'd be giving

up; there must be some way to get the same satisfaction out of hard work as we do from

reward.

One way I was always taught to do this was goal-setting.

I remember countless hours spent with people visiting our class at school and giving us

special lessons on what they called SMART goals.

SMART is an acronym for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound.

You can probably guess what each of these words means but if you want to look into it

more just Google it.

The reason I bring these rules up is that they're designed to promote self-confidence

and motivation by breaking large goals into smaller goals.

Each time you achieve one of these small, easily attainable steps you feel a minute

portion of satisfaction instead of building the satisfaction to experience all at once.

Have you ever had those tubes of M&M's?

I'd get them for Easter or Christmas and it went one of two ways: Either I ate the

M&M's one at a time, spacing them out and getting small doses of delicious candy coated

chocolate-y goodness or, far more often, I would give into my animalistic instincts and

down the whole tube in one mouthful, the sugar saturating my tongue.

It was amazing, of course, but it was fleeting and I'd instantly be met with regret as

I realised I had no more M&M's left.

My point is that those who can discipline themselves, who can dose out their satisfaction,

will be happier in the long run.

I like to think of this idea as a kind of telescoping goal set.

In the example of making a YouTube video, the largest goal is to finish the entire video.

Then you could say that finishing a script is a sub goal.

Finishing a topic in a script is a smaller goal, writing a joke well is even smaller

and having the idea for the joke, the spark, is perhaps the smallest goal.

Once you can gain pleasure from even these small acts then it becomes far easier to get

motivated.

But the best thing about this sort of happiness, the satisfaction that comes from finishing

something creative, is that it also feeds into the second purpose of life that I outlined

at the start: Leaving a legacy.

Even after we leave the mortal realm, our work and our ideas can live on.

Just because we aren't around to see it, doesn't mean we can't derive a certain

type of pleasure from the legacy we leave.

A legacy doesn't just have to be a book or a movie or something else physical; it

can also be a change in the social fabric.

People like Martin Luther King and Che Guevara are remembered for their political revolutions,

promoting opinions and implementing systems which advanced their societies.

Of course there is one way of leaving behind a legacy that should be obvious to us as social

animals: The way we're remembered by our family and friends.

You don't have to change the world to be remembered; some of the greatest heroes are

unsung community members who make changes on a smaller but equally important scale.

They're remembered fondly and looked up to as role models, leading by example to shift

the perception of the generations that follow them.

There's also an intrinsic joy to interacting with people that is imbued in all of us that

propels us into sharing our experiences and knowledge with one another.

Ultimately I believe that the purpose we create in life should be to add to a constantly evolving

and morphing stream of ideas.

This stream is archived in our words, our work and in the people who we interact with.

It can range from pop culture and entertainment to philosophy and politics but at its core

the stream is about a concept that is timeless.

Even if we were all wiped out and all trace of our existence destroyed, the stream would

still exist because the ideas are persistent.

But what changes is which ideas take prominence in this stream; which ideas are focussed upon

more by certain people around the world.

The internet is a great confluence of differing streams and that's what makes it such a

rich resource to draw from.

That's why I love adding to that stream even in just a small way.

My personal obsession is with stories.

Stories in any form fascinate me whether it be a song, book, movie, game or whatever other

form.

I love them because they highlight the ideas in this stream, they provide a window into

the stream and give just a glimpse of the themes ad motifs which we deal with every

day.

They inform us about the human condition.

Life has meaning because not only can we add to this persistent stream, this thing that

exists outside of and beyond our lives, but because dealing with this stream is enjoyable.

And that should give everyone motivation: Motivation to find out what our strengths

are and then utilise them and sharpen them to aid this stream… or at least that's

how I feel anyway.

I didn't intend to get so deep in this episode but I hope you guys watching find the motivation

to start your own projects and collaborate with other creators!

If you find meaning in life in a different way or have a special way you get motivated

then as always: Vent in the comments section below!

10 Foods You CAN'T Get FAT From Even If You Tried! - Duration: 8:29.

10 Foods You Can't Get Fat From Even If You Tried

10.

Broccoli- Broccoli is a great healthy vegetable snack, not only it is low in calories, but

it won't make you gain any weight.

In fact, it can help you lose weight by filling you up.

A cup of this cooked vegetable is only 54 calories, and since it is 89 percent of water

by weight, it aids in making you full fast.

In addition, broccoli will help keep your digestion regular thanks to its fiber content.

It's also rich in vitamins K, C and A. You can start off by throwing some broccoli in

a high fiber breakfast salad.

Just remember to steer clear of the ranch, melted cheese or any other toppings as these

fatty dressings can spike up the calorie content.

Bear in mind that just eating broccoli alone in the morning, won't make you lose weight

if you're on a diet.

As with the other food items on this list, take into consideration of what other foods

you're eating and what exercises you're practicing if you want to lose or stabilize

your weight.

9.

Plain, Lowfat Yogurt- Yogurt is an excellent tasty treat that aids with digestion and balances

the bacteria in your stomach.

But I know what you're thinking, what's so great about plain yogurt?!

Well eating plain, unsweetened, low-fat yogurt is for the best because artificial flavorings

are chock full of sugar that can contribute to weight gain.

It's important to stick to low fat instead of nonfat because when all of the natural

fat is removed, other processed additives are thrown in to make it taste like regular

yogurt.

Not only is yogurt filling but it's high in calcium.

Scientists at the University of Knoxville have discovered that dietary calcium influences

weight loss so high calcium foods preserve metabolism and heighten body fat breakdown.

It's also quick to eat and can be taken on the go.

8.

Extra Firm Tofu- We're not talking about regular tofu here, we're talking about extra

firm tofu.

So what's the difference?

Well, extra firm tofu is a bean curd with lower water content than other types of tofu.

It has more protein due to the presence of more soy, and it's firm in texture, less

crisp and virtually tasteless.

Extra firm tofu is considered a slimming food because it is low in fat and low in calories.

It is also a non animal high protein material that is rich in phosphorous and calcium that

has a lot of magnesium and iron.

Plus it's versatile to cook; you can add it to a hot pot of soup, braise it, stew it

or combine it with minced fish or use it to make tofu burger patties as a healthy alternative.

If you're not a big fan of extra firm tofu, you can go for silken, dried, sweet and fermented

tofu to still get all the protein contents!

7.

Apples- Fruits are essential to maintaining a healthy diet.

Since apples are over 80% water, this replenishes volume and provides satiety without packing

on extra calories.

Pectin is a soluble fiber in the fruit that aids to slow down the digestion process and

helps you feel full.

Apples rank high on the satiety index, and a number of research findings conclude that

eating fruit overall is linked to weight loss over time and lower calorie absorption.

Another study observed the effect of consuming applesauce, apple slices or gulping some apple

juice at the start of your meal.

It was found that those people who ate substantial apple slices ate 91 lesser calories than those

consuming applesauce and 150 lesser calories than those drinking apple juice.

To sum it up, eating apple segments also ensued in higher fullness and lowered hunger and

other forms of fruit.

So what are you waiting for?

Grab an apple and enjoy!

6.

Sweet Potato- Despite its name, it has no relation to the potato or yam and is an entirely

different type of vegetable that comes in an array of colors.

Depending on where you live, you may be able to find sweet potatoes that are orange, yellow,

purple and even white!

Sweet potato is almost four grams of dietary fiber which helps you feel satisfied with

a lesser amount of food and for a longer period too than other foods with little fiber.

This vegetable is also loaded with a ton of nutrients like potassium, vitamin B6, anti-inflammatory

ingredients and beta carotene which is processed into vitamin A in our bodies.

Sweet potatoes also minimize insulin resistance and balance blood glucose levels.

Boiling and steaming sweet potatoes are great ways to preserve its supplements.

Boiling it without its skin is only 151 grams in calories, and it makes a great addition

to any meal!

5 Citrus Fruits- Just like apples, citrus fruits like oranges and grapefruits are loaded

with pectin which heightens indulgence and slows down digestion.

Plus they have a high water content.

In fact, both grapefruit and oranges are over 80% water, so they'll be able to fill you

up in just under a few calories.

In a study taken from the National Center for Biotechnology Information, overweight

volunteers who ate grapefruits shed more weight than those volunteers who were given placebos.

So it's often been suggested that eating grapefruit can advertise weight loss.

In a separate experiment, eating half of a grapefruit at least three times a day during

meal times for six weeks was linked to modest weight loss and a decline in waist girth.

So even though grapefruits are extremely sour in taste, it does have a lot of beneficial

effects, and it'll also fill you up without gaining any extra pounds.

4.

Beets- This deep dark reddish purple vegetable has edible leaves and is high in fiber.

It contains nitrates which improve blood flow, decreases blood pressure and is beneficial

for the heart.

Research conducted by the University of Exeter found that beet nitrates minimized the amount

of oxygen needed during exercise.

In addition, beet juice also aids people who can't exercise due to existing heart conditions.

Another compound in beets are antioxidants which show anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory

properties in lab studies.

Beets only contain 75 kcal in one cup and other studies show that beets contain b-complex

vitamins that can lower chronic inflammation.

Try to buy organic beets and don't peel away the skin as the skin provides many natural

antioxidants.

Since the can be destroyed when cooking, make sure to

boil or steam the beets and cut them in equal medium sizes, so they'll cook within 15

minutes.

3.

Portobello Mushrooms- Also known as the button mushroom or white mushrooms, they contain

no cholesterol and is almost fat-free.

They are high in dietary fiber, potassium and low in calorie.

Interestingly, portobello mushrooms contain conjugated linoleic acid which some animal

research theorize can help decrease fat mass.

Although present in small amounts, CLA has been promoted as an anti-cancer property after

scientists discovered its antitumor activities in lab rats.

Portobello mushrooms can be cooked in various ways like baking, grilling, sauteing and steaming,

so you can utilize it in many dishes.

It also has a similar texture to meat so it can also serve as a substitute for animal

meat.

Larger portobello mushrooms are an awesome alternative for hamburger buns too.

If you're not a fan of portobellos, you can also try maitake and shiitake mushrooms

instead.

Daily intake of mushrooms also minimize the risk of breast cancer in women, so don't

be afraid to throw in some mushrooms here and there in your food.

2.

Boiled Potatoes- Many people try to avoid potatoes due to their higher carb content

when trying to shed the pounds but don't worry!

Whole potatoes are chock full of fiber, vitamins and other nutrients.

They also contain 8,9 resistant starch which contains half the calories of regular starch.

So in your digestive system, this helps you feel full by acting as a soluble fiber.

People also tend to eat fewer calories when they added resistant starch to meals.

Interestingly, whole potatoes alone satisfy their hunger.

Even after they've cooled off, they've increased their starch resistant content.

In one analysis that measured the ability of thirty eights foods to gratify hunger,

boiled potatoes were ranked number one.

In fact, fried potato chips were discovered three times to be less filling so opt for

a boiled potato instead and lightly season for a touch of flavor.

1.

Whole Eggs- Eggs are incredibly healthy, cheap and can be prepared in a number of ways.

It's also nutrient rich in protein and contains vitamin D. You might have seen movies where

people who are training drinks a glass or raw eggs for breakfast and even though it

may look gross, there's a good reason for it.

Eggs have all nine essential amino acids and are a source of complete protein.

More than half of the nutrients are found in the egg yolks.

Not only is it a filling food but one analysis discovered that those who consumed eggs for

breakfast shed more pounds and lowered their body mass index than those who ate a bagel.

There are also other studies that showed people who ate eggs in the morning consumed fewer

calories throughout the day and were more satisfied.

Remember that protein is an essential nutrient for weight control because it is more satisfying

than fats or carbs.

So get a high protein kick to jumpstart your day and crack some eggs.

Bernie Sanders Calls Trumpcare The Most Anti-Working Class Legislation Ever - Duration: 3:46.

This past Saturday while speaking at a rally in Des Moines, Iowa, independent Vermont Senator

Bernie Sanders described the Republican healthcare plan as the most anti-working class piece

of legislation ever.

He is absolutely right, and to be honest, before we get into why he's right, that is

a talking point that every single member of the Democratic Party needs to be out there

saying at every given opportunity.

If you don't have time to go and do an interview on the media, then put it out in a press release.

Explain to the American public that this is anti-working class legislation, and here is

why it is.

The people who are most affected by this particular legislation, I mean, I dare say everyone who

is actually affected by this piece of legislation are people in the working class of the United

States, the middle class and the underclass.

The upper class has nothing to worry about.

Even if their premiums go up a little, they can afford it, you know?

It's a few extra dollars out of their pocket a month, but you're giving them those massive

tax breaks that amount to about a million dollars a year, so they're still, as a net,

making money off the plan.

The rest of us, we're not getting crap in tax breaks.

We're not getting tax in premium reductions.

All we're getting is the same premiums with less coverage, and those of us who get health

insurance from our employers have now found out, according to your senate legislation,

that we might actually lose our insurance through your employers if we have preexisting

conditions, because you refuse to protect that.

There are no safety nets for the rest of us anymore.

Those of us who work for a living, those of us who go out there and contribute every single

day, who make the products that massive corporations sell, who make the cars, who make the carpets

and toasters and refrigerators and everything else.

That's the working class.

That's not the upper class.

That's not your small business owners, no offense to them.

It's people, every day, average, working 9:00 to 5:00, maybe even longer, people.

The Republican Party for some reason doesn't seem to care about people.

99% of this country, those of us who aren't in that top 1%, the Republican Party doesn't

care about us, so why in the hell are they still getting voted into office?

The Republicans have made it clear.

They have made it clear through their legislation, they have made it clear through their talking

points, that they don't care about the working class.

They're not bringing your jobs back, they're not raising your wages, they're not making

you safer, so why are you still voting for them?

Bernie Sanders is dead on when he says that this is the most anti-working class piece

of legislation out there, because if it passes, and unfortunately in all likelihood it looks

like it is headed that way, people within the working class will be the ones who die.

That 18 to 24,000 people a year that the CBO has projected, will die from this legislation.

They're not going to be from the top 1%.

That's going to be 18 to 24,000 people who die every year from the bottom 99%.

in this episode, to be new pastures for one of our four remaining ant colonies.

Also, in our last episode, we launched a worldwide search for official flags for our ant colonies,

and today for the first time you will all be casting your votes to choose an official

flag for our first colony, selected works by you talented members of the AC Family.

All this exciting stuff and more ahead, so keep on watching until the end, so let's all

gather round and issue a triumphant welcome to one lucky ant colony on this channel into

this new unclaimed terrarium, on this episode of the AntsCanada Ant Channel.

Please SUBSCRIBE to my channel, and hit the bell icon, welcome to the AC Family.

Enjoy!

So AC Family, before you sits an empty terrarium, with nothing but earth, some driftwood, and

some earthworms which were transplanted a couple of weeks ago to prepare these soils

for the life which was to thrive within it.

An empty canvas for we the creators, this terrarium was now ready to sustain its own

community.

To provide this new land with energy and light, we have a single bank of flourescent full-spectrum

lighting, as well as two LED spotlamps to provide bright sunning spots for our plants

and terrarium inhabitants.

And below the terrarium we have our new botanical additions.

Because the tank is not as large as the Hacienda Del Dorado, our options for plants are slightly

limited, but it doesn't mean our new terrarium need be boring.

Let's have a look at these plants.

First, we have some gorgeous air plants.

These beautiful plants which belong to the Bromeliad family, are called tillandias and

are classified as airplants because they acquire all their needed water from humidity in the

air.

You might notice the surface of the leaves look fuzzy.

This fuzz is where they get their magic.

The hair-like structures called trichomes on their leaf surface help absorb water from

the air, as well as water that drops onto the surface of the leaves.

These plants are epiphytic which means they attach themselves to other plants and trees.

They make great additions to a terrarium because they can be stuck into nooks and holes in

wood and look absolutely beautiful!

These ones happen to be flowering at the moment, which will add a nice hint of colour to the

terrarium.

Next, we have sphagnum moss.

For years I've used this stuff to decorate terrariums and I love it.

They add a nice touch to any terrarium.

They're highly absorbent and give a nice forest or bog-like finish.

This sphagnum moss is dead, but just a note, if you're going to add this stuff to a terrarium

make sure you buy the non-dyed kind.

If it has a deep green colour and it's dried, then it's likely dyed!

If you're up for a challenge and have ample lighting, you can even try to transplant living

moss from the wild.

Finally, we have my favourite plant for terrariums.

Ficus.

I love ficus because the leaves remain small, but it creates dense foliage with ample lighting,

it is easy to grow, doesn't need extreme amounts of sunlight, and is also a low-laying plant,

which means if you don't have a giant tank, it's perfect as it creates a carpet of intricate

low laying vines along the ground and decor, much like it has in the Hacienda Del Dorado.

So let's do this AC Family.

I have also added some coconut husk to the soil medium to give the soil some structure

and integrity which will help when ants build their tunnels and caverns.

It minimizes cave-ins in case the soil gets dry.

I have made sure to mix up the medium in such a way that it was non-homogeneous, meaning

some areas had the coconut husk and other areas didn't.

This will give the ants more of a choice for ideal soil conditions when nesting.

And so the time has come.

Let's add some life to these desolate lands.

In an hour and a half, our new territory was complete.

Behold our brand new, fully formiscaped terrarium, designed to provide a tropical forest floor

paradise.

Let's have a look shall we?

I've secured our Tillandsias into fitting holes in the driftwood.

They make great feature plants and their soft pink blossoms look quite nice against the

blue wall backdrop of the ant room.

Let's look at the ficus.

You'll notice, I've placed the ficus towards the back.

This will be helpful as the ficus grows, as it will grow towards the spotlamps and carpet

forward, much like it has in the Hacienda Del Dorado.

I will have to keep up with cutting the vines back if the plant gets out of control.

I'm excited to watch how the ficus develops in this terrarium.

And finally, we have our sphagnum moss which I have packed mostly towards the front to

give the terrarium some mossy spots.

This will also help when I water the terrarium because the shagnum helps reduce splash which

when dried on glass can look unsightly, so placing the carpet of sphagnum moss towards

the front will help at keeping the glass front of the tank free of mineral deposits from

water droplets.

And so AC Family, this new terrarium is now ready to provide a lush home for one of our

ant colonies.

And here's where I had a bit of a complication.

A couple videos back, I asked you guys to vote for which colony you thought should live

in this new terrarium, and by a landslide vote, you guys wanted the Jawbreakers to move

in, however they were killed.

So normally, I would by default choose the 2nd place winner which was the Golden Empire.

I was OK with this choice because they were starting to completely overcrowd their current

terrarium, the Hacienda Del Dorado, and in a recent video, we discovered evidence that

the Golden Empire may be producing queens and breeding within their own.

This means then that a population explosion may possibly be in the horizon for the Golden

Empire.

But because the Jawbreakers won by such a landslide, I wanted to be sure you guys wanted

the Golden Empire to move in.

I ran a poll on our Twitter and in 24 hours, the results surprised me.

By a 51% margin, the majority of you chose the Titans to be the ones to inherit this

new terrarium.

One thing that scared me about this choice was that the huge super majors were capable

of chewing through some really hard substances including grout.

If the Titans were to move into this new terrarium, I had to be vigilent to make sure every day

that the baby powder barrier was effective and working.

I didn't want them chewing through the mesh and escaping into my home.

So which colony was I to choose?

The Golden Empire or the Titans?

I decided to sleep on the decision and decide the next day.

The next day came in a flash.

It was time to add the ant colony that deserved this new terrarium the most.

I began to add a thick layer of baby powder along the top of the terrarium which would

keep the ants from reaching the top, making it easier to keep the ants in especially when

working around the tank.

These new territories were now ready to welcome its new ant inhabitants.

Who did I ultimately choose to add to this terrarium?

Was it the Golden Empire?

Or was it the Titans?

Who do you think deserves this terrarium more?

AC Family, I chose to give this new home to, none other than...

The ants within this humble tower, which I laid sideways to encourage the colony to walk

out into their new expanse of a home.

The Titans were at first a bit shocked to find their nest had been opened up and toppled.

The queen and her cohort of supermajors immediately began to mobilize and transport her out of

the now openly lit and exposed chamber.

Right off the bat, it seemed like the ants were a bit dazed and seemed like they didn't

know what to do?

The supermajors kind of romped around, seemingly unconcered that their home had just been put

on its side.

Some workers began to attempt to repair the nest by moving soil around.

It wasn't until several minutes later that the first worker decided to wander into the

new lands.

It eventually returned to the colony and I expected it to bring happy news that a great

new territory laid just beyond the nest and that everyone needed to check it out, but

surprisingly, not many ants came out to explore.

In fact, the ants were not interested in leaving their current home at all.

I decided to place a light directly onto the container to further encourage the ants to

move out.

As for the other two towers, I removed the top and placed one of them here, laying its

long tube close to the first tower so they could easily find each other, and I placed

the third tower between the two towers and also laid it on its side to encourage the

ants to move out into their new territory.

For several hours I watched as the Titans continued to be apprehensive at leaving their

current nest home.

Most ants seemed preoccupied with fixing their home and moving brood to new areas.

Some workers wandered out into the terrarium but not many.

Perhaps the colony just needed some time to warm up to this new home, after all, these

three towers were all they knew for months.

Perhaps we should just give them some time.

I decided to leave the towers like this for the time being and check up on their progress

by night.

Night came, and to my surprise it seemed like not much had changed.

Workers were still busy trying to fix their home.

No workers were exiting from the 1st and 2nd towers.

But then I noticed a little bit of movement from the middle 3rd tower.

There was a bit of a commotion happening.

Hmmm... peeking between the two toppled towers I saw workers that had wandered beyond the

towers and were clearly excited about something on their new land.

This brought me so much happiness.

The Titans had realized that before them was a great unchartered territory.

The Titans had discovered that this new land was now theirs.

It seemed like the colony was slowly sending out workers and workers from the outside rushed

to return to the colony in the 3rd tower with news of their new home.

This was great, because even if the ants within the other two towers seemed nonresponsive,

all we needed was just a few ants to perpetuate the growing idea of moving out, and this eventually

would get the ball rolling and inevitably convince the entire colony to move out.

Perhaps it was a good idea that the queen and her cohort remained in their tower while

this initial party of ants got going with nest construction first before their royal

queen moved in.

Although initially, a part of me had thought the Golden Empire may have been the better

choice for this new territory, watching the ants dancing about on the soils of their new

home now, and watching their excited and erratic movements as they explored their new home

convinced me that we had made the right choice.

Thank you, AC Family for choosing the Titans.

Give yourselves a pat on the back.

We've done well today and just made this very promising ant colony quite happy.

I am not sure when this colony will finally move out, but I think it may be a good idea

to wait for the colony to be ready to move out on their own time.

So what do you say?

What should we call this new ant territory?

Leave your suggestions in the comments section and I will choose my favourites for us to

vote on together in a future video.

And to commemorate the start of this triumphant move into these new pastures, it is now time

AC Family for us to vote on an official flag for the Titans.

Are you guys ready?

Behold, the finalist flags chosen to represent our majestic Titans.

Please take a few moments to look at each flag carefully and vote for your favourite

flag in this icard poll here, AC Council.

The winning flag will become the official symbol of this colony, and its desginer will

win a free Omni Nest Small courtesy of AnstCanada.com.

By the way, if you haven't entered yet, we are still accepting flag entries, so click

the forum link in the description box of this video to post up your flag submission for

a chance to win an Omni Nest from AntsCanada.com.

Alright, AC Family.

Be sure to tune in next week, as we continue to follow how our Titans do at moving into

this new terrarium.

Let's hope the entire colony, queen, cohort, brood and all move into these new lands soon,

so we can watch them grow fruitfully.

And thus ends another episode of the AntsCanada Ant Channel.

Thank you, AC Family for watching.

We will see you again next week.

It's ant love forever.

OK AC Family, are you as excited as I am to see the Titans move into this new terrarium?

I also can't wait to see which flag you guys vote for to represent them.

AC Inner Colony, I have left a hidden cookie for you here to watch some extended play footage

of the Titans.

And now it's time for the AC Question of the Week!

Tips for medical professionals video - Duration: 8:15.

Hey everybody, this is Bailey.

Today, I will be sharing some tips that are more geared toward medical professionals

dealing with deaf and hard of hearing patients but I'm sure there are some tips in there

that will generally apply to outside of the medical situation

but who knows

Lets get started

Tip #1: Read the patients record

definitely check the demographic information

to see if they have deaf or hard of hearing status on that record

this way, you can mentally prepare yourself for communication barriers

and/or difficulties that you might have during that appointment

Tip #2: Accommodations. If they need an interpreter they can apply

for one in advance however if they don't need an interpreter because they

a hearing device like cochlear implant or hearing aides

just make sure that you face them at all times and speak clearly

and also make sure that you lips aren't obstructed so we can read your lips

like this guy did

(gibberish)

I have no idea what he said

Tip #3 No interpreter and no hearing device

OK this is something I have to put out there. DO NOT USE FAMILY AS THEIR INTERPRETER

they're not medically certified so when you ask questions they might not know

what information you might be asking for so therefore that communication translation

could get lost and also using family as thier interpreter

means that they could potentially take over the conversation for them

taking your valuable time away from the patient. To get around the communication barrier

there are two ways to do it 1: ask them if the can read lips

like so if they can, great!

however be sure to do it in one sentence liner like so

"how are you feeling" instead of a paragraph

{reads paragraph}

would you rather read a sentence or a paragraph?

for me I say the sentence but if you can read that paragraph in a few

seconds I'm impressed

The second way is if they cannot read your lips, you can write back and forth

just be sure to write at a 4th grade level In ASL grammar

its a little harder to translate over to English

in English we say where is the hospital in ASL it says "Hospital where"

so be sure to dumb it down to 4th grade level so no "nausea"

no "migraine" no...

I dont know what other words you would use but definitely use the terms a 4th grader would use

"How's your pain?"

"Are you dizzy?"

"Did you throw up?"

"Do you feel sick in the stomach?"

Tip #4: Keep them appraised of everything.

We have been oppressed for so long by society

so we're a little slow on trusting the hearing population

here is an example: "Excuse me I need to step out so I can discuss

the results with my tech, I'll be right back."

That's all you need to do. This way they feel comfortable

knowing you're not hiding anything from them

Tip #5 When they do have an interpreter never ever ask

them not to translate something number one that's pure discrimination and unprofessional

and number two if you don't want your patient to know then don't say it

Tip #6: Treat the interpreter as the patient's narrator

if you missed something ask the patient to repeat themselves

and by asking that patient, it lets them know that you are paying more

attention to them and not the intepreter which makes them feel valued

and makes them trust you better. Also side note

be sure to have the intepreter at your side or slightly behind you

however you don't really need to tell them that

because they generally know the drill but when you get new interpreters you definitely

have to ask them which ever the best ear you have put them

on your side and slightly behind you

bonus tip learn ASL if you can

lifeprint.com is the best site to go to for free ASL classes

and there are deaf coffee chat so you can practice your knowledge

you will find them, normally you can just google "deaf coffee chat" and find your local area

this is the also best way to go

while you're learning the broad ASL you are also learning the local ASL

just like slang words have in certain locals that you wouldn't hear in other areas

and once you learn ASL and they find out that you know ASL

they will be floored and they will totally recommend you to their friends and

their family and those friends and family will pass it

on to everyone else in the community which brings your patient base up to

i don't know a high number than you wouldn't believe

but be prepared you might get a lot of deaf people

so be ready.

Alright this is all I have for you today

so if you have any questions, please drop them in the comments down below

or text Michelle if you know her and I will see you next Saturday.

Pooh turns to Superman! Let's play Kingdom Hearts part 68 - Duration: 12:00.

unfortunately I can't use the dodge roll. Otherwhise I wouldn't need the follow option

oh well

argh I failed.

alright.. like this? how?

oh well.

I don't think it'll work out good like that...

well whatever I blocked him 5 times.

saved 12..

well doesn't matter.. I can do carrot juice now.

yeah man fuck off hahaha.

rabbit: thanks alot

I should better do some carrot juice now. please wait for me inside my house.

and there we go, I enter the room and he's there immediately.

rabbit: oh, what a day! I gave the carot juice to pooh now.

all we have to do, is to press him out now.

a little push will do it.

first my vegable bed and now this..

the lost page transformed to an item.

mh mythril ore.. ok I'll take it.

ok we were already here.. already there..

I think we weren't on this page.

a swing is hanging on a huge tree. wanna read?

yup we deffinitively weren't here yet.

look pooh, something is floating in the river.

I think you're right piglet. What could it be?

oh there's IA

It seems to be I-Aah! Hello, I-Aah in case it is you.

I mean you should probably save him.. he is underwater.. well nevermind.. his mouth is still underwater.

hello there, pooh. Yes it's me.

could you pull me out? I mean if it doesn't bother you too much.

You obviously don't have to if you don't want to do it.

yeah sure.. let him drown.

sure thing..

thanks pooh. thanks other person.

while floating around I had a feeling that something was missing.

and it's still missing.

I-Aahs d.. tail is gone! (whoa save xD)

isn't that the missing thing?

let's see.. yup I lost it. where can it be?

well

It's not a special d.. tail but " I cling tight on to it. "

but I don't know why we should search for it. We wouldn't find it anyway.

Sora, why aren't we all searching for I-Aahs d.. tail?

alright then.

lost something?

oh there he comes the authorial nariator.. the owl.

the all known..

the best way to find something is you search for it on a higher place

owl can't you fly up in the sky and help us to search I-Aahs tail?

I am sorry but my eyes aren't the best anymore. I've read too much.

but I can give you a nice hint.

you obviously don't have to if you don't want to do it.

Do you see the swing up there? Bring pooh to it.

you're a bit to big for the swing but pooh should fit perfectly.

If you're ready I will tell you more.

alright then!

let's go to that swing.

here's alot of honey

I think pooh won't follow me like I want to

no wait.. don't I have to..

pooh will follow you if you lock him on with r1

oh ok.

so I have to go with pooh.. or better he should go with me.

let's avoid that honey. otherwhise we will never make it to the swing.

oh well

alright he doesn't notice the honey. easy!

alright and now up here.

yeah and now he'll probably explain me how

alright then (he acctually explained it to me..)

gues that's it

gues that was on the perfect spot.

isnt't it?

maybe not

too high..

alright then.

atleast i don't have to bring him there again.

ok let's slow it a bit.

it's still a bit too fast at the moment.

oh wow. Super Man!

he probably flew down the map.

well the owl told me I should give him some honey..

but it seems like that doesnt work.. oh wait, I can..

no?

alright then let's try that again.

how am I supposed to let him not fly this high?

what about now? nope he is flies too far again.

yeah how am I supposed to give him honey???

gues that's it?

no.. too high again. that can't be.

oh well I will skip this real quick until I got it.
