Youtube daily report w Jul 21 2017

Have you ever wondered where all the money goes that your country spends?

It's a fairly complicated matter, so today we hope to make it a little less complicated

while focusing solely on the budget of the USA.

The U.S. government receives money each year, its revenue, while its outgoings are referred

to as the national expenditure.

How that money is spent, or how it's earned, is a matter of ongoing debate.

And it should be, given that for all intents and purposes, it's YOUR money being spent.

To simplify how the budget is apportioned, today we'll imagine it's just a small

household allowance.

Follow us on the money trail, in this episode of the Infographics Show, If the United States'

budget was only $100, how would it be spending it?

Don't forget to subscribe and click the bell button so that you can be part of our

Notification Squad.

First of all, let's take a look at where the money for the U.S. budget comes from.

The revenue comes mostly from you, in the taxes you pay.

In 2018, the U.S. Federal government will have a total revenue of 3.654 trillion dollars.

This sizable amount we are going to round down to 100 bucks.

You can get an idea of how much the total budget is, if we say that one dollar of our

100 is equal to about 36 billion dollars.

Half of U.S. federal revenue will come from income taxes, and a further 33 percent from

payroll taxes.

Payroll tax is the money the employer or employee pays for such things as Social Security, Medicare,

health insurance and unemployment insurance.

10 percent of the total revenue will come from corporate taxes, and a further 4 percent

from excise taxes and tariffs.

This is a special hidden tax on certain items, sometimes referred to as a 'sin tax' because

it includes things we should probably consume less of such as alcohol, cigarettes, and gasoline.

The rest of the revenue will consist of money earned by the Federal Reserve and slightly

less than that amount from estate taxes.

An estate tax is money the government takes when a person dies and leaves cash, property

or stock to another person.

This usually makes up 1 percent or less of the U.S. revenue.

Now that we know where the money comes from, let's see if it's enough to provide for

the very large household of the USA.

The money the U.S. receives from taxes is the globe's largest revenue, but the U.S.

is a big spender.

The country will outlay more than it receives, making the USA one of many countries with

a yearly deficit.

Many other countries have a healthy looking bank balance, such as oil rich Qatar or the

sensibly spending nation of Norway.

As we will now see, the USA puts a lot of its cash into areas other countries seem to

care much less about.

One of those areas is the military, as you will know if you've watched our military-based

episodes.

And so, without further ado, we'll now take a look at some hard cash statistics.

There are three types of government spending.

'Mandatory' spending is the money that goes towards entitlements for the U.S. people,

safeguards such as social security, healthcare and unemployment compensation.

This amount makes the biggest dent in our 100 dollar allowance.

Mandatory spending is 62 percent of the entire budget, or 62 dollars from our 100 buck budget.

Social security will cost about 27 dollars, Medicare about 15 dollars and Medicaid about

11 dollars.

Other mandatory programs, which could include things such as food stamps or many other welfare

programs, will take up the rest of the mandatory budget.

We should note here that there are fears that mandatory spending will outpace the money

earned as there will simply be too many people to take care of and not enough labor force.

This is what happened in Japan, a country with a lot of old people and many young people

choosing not to have children.

Something else to think about is the specter of massive job loss due to technological automation.

As for the 38 dollars we have left, most of that goes to what's called 'discretionary'

spending.

This is part of the revenue that could change year by year depending on what Congress votes

for.

The third outlay is the money the U.S. has to pay in interest for its national debt,

which has almost reached 550 dollars if we are still rounding down to our 100 dollar

budget.

This interest keeps increasing, and in 2018 it will be about 9% of our 100 dollar total

revenue.

This is another 9 dollars from our budget that the U.S must keep paying lest it default

on the debt.

This national debt is by far the biggest in the world.

After mandatory spending and interest debt is paid, we have about 29 dollars left to

keep the USA running smoothly.

Where does the rest of the money go?

According to the White House, in 2018, about 19 of our 100 dollars will be spent on the

American military.

This is by far the biggest chunk of the total discretionary budget.

It's more or less half of the 38 bucks the government had left before it had to pay the

interest on its debt.

This means from our 29 bucks, we have just 10 dollars left over for everything else...and

there's a lot to pay for.

The rest goes to other departments, of which there are many: About 50 cents goes to the

department of agriculture, 44 cents goes to the dept of transportation, 2 dollars goes

to the dept of education, 26 cents goes to the dept of labor, $1.20 goes to the dept

of homeland security, 32 cents goes to the dept of the Interior, 77 cents goes to the

dept of State and Other International Programs, $1.11 goes to the dept of Housing and Urban

Development, 21 cents goes to the dept of Commerce, 76 cents goes to the dept of Justice,

32 cents goes to the dept of the Treasury, 2 dollars goes the Dept of Veterans Affairs,

and 81 cents goes to the dept of Energy.

There will also be smaller amounts spent on multiple government agencies.

And there's more still to pay.

Quite a lot of the remaining money from the discretionary budget goes into the emergency

fund in case of war or natural disaster, as well as current military overseas operations.

This involves multiple agencies, departments, and organizations, and amounts to around 2

dollars and 30 cents.

If you add up the entire budget, it is more than the entire revenue, which is just the

way it works out each year in the USA.

To save a few pennies, the Trump administration has made a few minor changes, such as taking

out about 3 cents of our 100 dollars that was previously allocated to arts and cultural

agencies.

At the same time, Trump has also controversially decreased NASA's budget by about one cent.

If you watched our episode, NASA vs. SpaceX, you'll know Trump aspires to send men back

to the moon, or later, even Mars.

NASA was budgeted just over 50 cents for 2018.

The budget deficit for 2018 amounts to $440 billion.

This is around 12 percent of our original 100 buck revenue.

It means there is around a 12 dollar deficit, so we've spent the grand total of 112 dollars.

The question we must now ask ourselves is will the U.S get out of debt, or will the

debt keep growing?

Well, like many other countries, the U.S. can just print its own money, so when in debt,

just keep printing, right?

Some people think this is not a good idea as it could lead to a financial crisis, and

of course, it might upset the people whose taxes are going towards paying off the debt.

A simple solution to the debt would seem to be to cut government spending or raise taxes,

but the risk is that this might hamper economic growth.

Another solution is to boost economic growth so it grows faster than the debt.

In terms of the 100 dollars, how can the U.S. use it in areas where it will see higher returns?

For example, some analysts believe the U.S. should spend less on defense, and more on

public infrastructure.

Where do you think the U.S. should be allocating its money for the best of the American people?

What would you do with the budget?

Mit Afro Swiss Max Urban zu Besuch bei KB Fresh Cutz | Tama Gotcha! VLOG #24 - Duration: 4:35.

Welcome to the Vlog with Max Urban.

Hi everyone.

This is KB right there. He is working already.

Could I have an Afro? On with volume and my own hair? Not possible.

Oh. It's okay. It's over. I'm done here. No Afro for me...

Why do you like to come to KB's?

What's special about this barber shop?

He gives you a fresh cut and you automatically feel better.

Everything is fresh, fine, you go out and the Ladies: Yeah!

KB, you have a fancy hairstyle yourself.

Thanks.

What does fading mean? Fading means layered haircut.

I had so many different hairstyles.

Flat top, braids, corn rows.

What is a flat top? Flat top is the one from Will Smith.

Ah, Fresh Prince!

I feel like, if you watch the media in the US, that people are more proud about their heritage.

Some wear an Afro with pride.

Others have weaves. When you sew the wig on the braids.

What do you think about white people who get cornrows?

I mean - in the past, black people could not afford a hair dresser,

didn't have the means, to take care of their hair,

so we did our hair by ourselves. With the braids and all.

These days everyone is doing it. If you ask me, anyone can do it.

Can I put in my two cents?

If white people get corn rows, I'm sorry to say but it looks terrible in 99.9% of all cases.

You know it from black people, but it's here for everybody.

I'm here. He is here.

He is getting his hair done.

As you always say: it's colorful. Our society should be colorful.

I see some graffitis and images. Hold on, let me shot them to you.

Who is this up there? This is Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the firs president of Ghana.

This decade is the decade of African independence.

Let's talk about the term Afro-Swiss. What is the definition of Afro-Swiss?

The definition of an Afro-Swiss is, when you are born in Switzerland land like me,

but both parents are from an African country.

Or the one, who has a white mother or a white father

and a black mother. So anyone who has genes from the African continent.

It's a part of the lifestyle to know

the traditions of Switzerland and the number of federal councillors.

Seven.

This is not a beauty competition!

Also you need to know that there is Malaria in some African countries.

I call those Afro Swiss, who knows about all this.

He can dance.

This is Azonto.

And you can do another crazy thing.

You can do something with your voice. I don't even know how to describe it.

My siblings can all do this.

It's like this here.

Playthings all kids do in Africa.

Here is Swiss Tamil, Afro Swiss. Yeah.

Now we want to know: What do you think what Afro Swiss means?

Let me know in the comments.

Overview: Placebo Stimulants Make You Think You're Performing Better - Duration: 5:42.

A paper published in the Journal of Psychoactive Drugs has given extra support to the power

of placebo.

It found that giving someone placebo, if it was said to be a prescription stimulant like

Adderall, could make people self-report improvements in cognition.

This sort of finding exemplifies something that's becoming well understood.

Namely, that a person's expectancies impact not only what a real drug does, but can make

a placebo seem like it's doing something.

I think results of this sort need to be kept in mind when people are experimenting with

alleged cognitive enhancers, whether they're nootropics or LSD microdoses.

The background for this paper is that the non-medical use of prescription stimulants

has become popular among undergrads and graduate students.

They often believe stimulants can improve performance, which contributes to higher use

rates.

In the US, it's estimated 12 to 20% of university-level students have used these drugs at some point.

Although people may think their performance will improve, the results are often mixed

or negative in actual studies.

At this point we still don't have much evidence that amphetamine or methylphenidate significantly

improves performance in healthy, non-sleep deprived people.

People with ADHD do consistently receive benefits, yet some papers have found the same drugs

in healthy people can't do a whole lot.

It's possible some benefits exist, but probably not to the degree people think.

A key part of this paper was looking at the impact of positive expectancies on the effects

of a placebo.

We don't fully know how placebo effects will change based upon preconceived notions.

But there's reason to think a placebo can feel like a stimulant, depressant, or another

kind of substance depending on what's expected.

166 participants enrolled in the study, with 86 entering the experimental group, and 80

acting as a non-experimental control group.

These individuals were undergraduate students with a mean age of 19 years old and an average

GPA of 3.45.

Experimental participants were asked to pick a "dose" of alleged Ritalin, Adderall, or

Focalin.

74% chose Adderall, which probably indicates a greater familiarity with that drug's alleged

positive effects.

But, keep in mind, everyone ultimately received placebo.

They only thought they were getting a prescription stimulant.

To measure performance, four neuropsychological tests were employed: the d2 Test of Attention,

the PASAT (which measures information processing), a Passage Comprehension test, and Digit Span

tests to look at short-term memory.

They were also given subjective tests of typical positive and negative stimulant symptoms.

On the positive side were changes in alertness, focus, and motivation.

While the negatives included things like dry mouth, dehydration, and shakiness.

The experimental group had no significant positive changes in performance.

Rather, those who thought they received a stimulant actually had a potential decline

in performance on the PASAT.

So, at least in this paper, a placebo stimulant couldn't improve actual cognitive performance.

But that's a bit different from what the users reported.

Those who received the placebo stimulant reported significant improvements in alertness, focus,

and positive mood.

While the control group experienced the opposite.

And there was no change between groups in terms of physical symptoms like dry mouth

and shakiness.

The second part of this paper involved looking for correlations between performance, subjective

performance, and expectancies.

A large portion of the sample had positive performance-related ideas about stimulants.

For example, they felt they could improve focus, improve attention, and sometimes contribute

to higher grades.

Despite those feelings, higher positive expectancies didn't mediate any true neuropsychological

benefit.

One of the only correlations was actually between negative expectancies (i.e. about

addiction or health issues) and Passage Comprehension.

Experimental participants with higher negative expectancy scores showed improved performance.

Whether this is a true finding and what the mechanisms may be aren't known.

In summary, if you give someone a placebo and tell them it's a stimulant, you can make

them think they're under the influence of a cognitive enhancer.

And you could even make them feel better overall.

Positive expectancies may not actually improve performance, at least according to this paper,

but they can mediate self-reported benefits.

This sort of research needs to be taken to heart by self-experimenters.

Legitimate cognitive enhancers may exist, but I'm inclined to think a lot of the anecdotal

reports are heavily tainted by placebo and expectancy.

The authors of the paper felt it was surprising task performance didn't improve due to positive

expectancies.

"Despite self-reported subjective improvements in focus, alertness, and pleasant mood in

the placebo group, participants did not perform better across task administrations overall.

This substantiates prior research indicating that students' beliefs that stimulant medications

are cognitive enhancers are likely misconstrued."

The authors concluded by suggesting college administrators begin telling students about

these findings in order to reduce expectancies and perhaps the use of stimulants by students.

If there's another thing I'm inclined to believe, it's that we probably won't see much of an

effect from anti-Adderall public information campaigns.

What If The US Budget Was Only $100 - How Would It Spend It? - Duration: 6:23.

For example, some analysts believe the U.S. should spend less on defense, and more on

public infrastructure.

Where do you think the U.S. should be allocating its money for the best of the American people?

What would you do with the budget?

Let us know in the comments.

Why I Can't Make Video's - Reason 7 - Nothing to wear - Duration: 2:11.

Why can't make videos reason number seven. I don't know what to wear. Now to

me this is funny and I have ladies that actually say "I don't know what to

wear. What color should I wear? This blouse makes me look busty or I look too

heavy, I look too thin or I look washes out my color." You know what you go out in

them clothes every day. Maybe you go to work in those clothes, maybe you go out

to dinner with friends and the clothes you have in your closet. Pick something

and put it on. Best thing I can say, it make sure you don't clash with your

background. Maybe if you want something bright, put on a solid color. Sometimes if

you have a busy background then you wearing big floral prints might be a

little crazy. Maybe too many stripes, but you know you have clothes you love

wearing. Put it on, feel good. Don't worry about whether or not it's going to look

this way or that way or will it look professional enough or am I overdressed.

That's another one, overdressed, if that's what you wear everyday and that's what

you're comfortable and wear it. The one thing I will say to ladies is we have to

watch cleavage, not we as in me, I don't have that problem. But that has to do

with how you are dressed and your camera angles. If you don't want to show

cleavage, don't have something cut low with your camera coming down. Point your

camera at you, not pointing down or that could cause some issues

depending on what you want to talk about and what you want people to notice.

Rather than that, dress like you do every day. I want to see you in something that

if I went out to meet you I would say oh I saw that outfit on a video that's all

it takes. Quite overthinking it, it's just an

excuse put on something that'll work.

leave your dog in a hot car on a hot day

once in a while you want to leave your dog in the car because you have to go

quickly in and out of something somewhere and you have to do something

but the problem is when we leave our dogs in temperatures that are

extreme either too hot or too cold in this case Harvey for example is in the

car the hot sunny day and no matter what we do in this car bringing down the

windows or just for five or ten minutes even to leave our dogs in the car it

gets really hot in there it's really hot now so we're going to go inside hello

lovers my name is Saro I'm a dog trainer and I also coach dog owners if

this is your first time here please make sure to subscribe to my channel it's

amazing that after all these reports notices media report social media videos

people are still tempted to leave their dogs in cars especially on hot days

Watch as police rescue a dog locked in a hot car rescuers works quickly to save

the dog and they think sensors inside the vehicle near 100 and ten degree got

water a Good Samaritan called 9-1-1 which saw the pitbull left inside

according to the Florida Police Department the car was off the windows

up and the owner couldn't be found of the baby you guys be heroes thank you

police say the owner showed up about 60 minutes later after go to the bank she's

excited for leaving a dog unattended in a vehicle so here are three reasons why

you shouldn't leave your dog in a car especially in a hot day or on a cold day

it doesn't matter but mainly we're talking about hot cars and hot days

so number one reason why I don't suggest you to leave your dog in the car is

because first of all it is stressful for the dog to be left alone in the car a

car itself a box itself most of the time is not an ideal place for a dog to be

especially if it's a big car it's big space they have to kind of protect that

environment it is a stressful situation mentally they are stressed

second of all cars are made of steel steel heats up or cools off very fast

and if you leave a dog in a car and the temperature is rising the car will heat

up faster because steel heats up fast no matter what you do no matter if you turn

on the air-conditioning if you bring the windows down the steel the cage itself

heats up quickly so it doesn't matter what you do whatever it's inside of

that cage will heat up as well number three reason is dogs are wearing fur even

though dogs are wearing fur and they can regulate their temperature but because

the temperature of the air air temperature is rising fast

they can adjust the temperature plus on top of that they have the mental stress

going on which they are either left alone or they are separated from you who

they are attached to and mentally and physically they are in stress

and they're going to anxiety and anxiety leads to shock and shock causes the dogs

to just panic and heat up faster than ever and that becomes a dangerous

situation for dogs to be so this is why I suggest you not to even think about

leaving your dog in a car on a hot day on a regular days that is not too hard if

your dog is able to tolerate to be left alone in the car for few minutes I guess

it's okay but if the weather is really hot and uncomfortable for you

imagine how hot and uncomfortable it is for your dog so don't do it

if you find this video useful and beneficial in some form or another

please make sure to share it and go ahead and like it so I know that I've

made a difference and also make sure to subscribe to my channel so you won't

miss my future videos until next time have fun with your dog

The Creditor Forgave My Debt, Isn't That Great? Maybe Not - Duration: 1:57.

This is great. The bank forgave what I owe them so now I don't have to file bankruptcy.

Isn't that great? My name is Ron Drescher. I'm an attorney practicing bankruptcy and

creditor's rights in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia. And you know what, it may not

be that great because there's a very nasty concept called discharge of indebtedness income,

and that happens when the bank or some other creditor that you ow forgives the debt. Great.

I don't owe it anymore, but then that creditor files what's called a 1099 C to the IRS and

that says that they forgave that debt. The IRS considers that income for you and makes

you pay tax on that income. So what you've done is you've turned a dischargeable debt

into a non-dischargeable tax debt, and that could be disaster, so you need to be really

careful before you agree to work out a deal with a bank or a credit card company or some

other creditor because you may end up with a very nasty disagreeable tax liability as

a result of the forgiveness of that debt. My name is Ron Drescher. I'm an attorney practicing

bankruptcy and creditor's rights. If you have a question about whether a settlement with

a creditor is going to result in a bad tax liability for you, please pick up the phone

and call me. I would love to hear from you.

Do You Feel Like A Fraud? - Duration: 6:51.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

Hey, I just want to give a quick thanks to one of our sponsors at Simple Programmer which

is DevMountain Bootcamp.

You should go check them out.

The link is in the description.

They are a coding bootcamp and they can teach you web development, iOS development, UX design,

a lot of good stuff.

I get a lot of feedback from a lot of you out there that email me have told me about

DevMountain, so I decided to check them out myself.

I like what I found.

I like their programs.

They offer some 12-week intensive programs.

They also offer some after-hours programs which I know that some of you will like.

Go check them out.

You can see the link in the description below, DevMountain Bootcamp.

A big thank you to them for sponsoring Simple Programmer.

Today, we're going to be talking about getting into a high position too early.

This is something that has been coined—there's a few different terms that have been coined

around this.

One of them that's popular is impostor syndrome.

I did a video on impostor syndrome here that you could check out if we could find that

video.

This question—let me see, I don't think I've got a name here, but he says, "Thank

you for your advices and a lot of work.

I've managed to get into a senior position in a single year of commercial life."

Okay, that's pretty cool.

I spent one and a half in the academic market on this new company, but now I'm feeling insecure

about my work even though I do not have any clear reason.

Anyways, I'd love to hear your thoughts."

He gives some more details here.

He basically says that "I absorbed all the knowledge I was able from you, worked hard

and the result was that I'm getting into a senior position one year before my graduation

and in a big company."

What he's saying is, "What if I'm not ready?"

He's been working at this company for 45 days and he hasn't faced any challenge that made

him think he was not capable of delivering what's accepted.

He never saw himself as a prodigy.

He's having this problem.

This identity crisis of "am I fraud, am I"—Now, I'm reading into this but "am I an impostor?

Do I belong here and am I qualified for this?"

This is a very common thing.

Anywhere that you should be, you should feel like you're a fraud and you're not qualified

for it and that the position is above you.

You should have a little bit of fear.

I always talk about this idea of diving in over your head into a water that's too deep

for you where you have to sink or swim.

Even when you fail in these situations, you benefit way more than when you do something

that's easy and that you don't fail.

I mean think about it.

If you think about a sport or some kind of competition.

If you enter some competition or let's say that you're an adult and you enter a kid's

T ball league.

I'm going to say T ball because I'm pretty sure that the little league could whoop your

ass.

All right?

Let's say T ball, all right?

You're like, "Man, I just whacked the ball out at the park with the T ball.

I just smashed those 4-year-olds.

They don't even know what's coming, right?"

You're not gaining anything.

It's an easy win for you.

You're not learning anything, right?

If you go and you play with the—I don't know who—Your favorite professional baseball

team.

You go and you go just the training or you go and you play a game and you suck, I mean

you're going to suck so bad, you're going to learn so much, even just by failing.

If you did happen to succeed, that would be pretty awesome.

You see what I'm saying?

Like even a failure would be great.

You want to always challenge yourself to that higher level.

I'll tell you a secret here with software development jobs and with jobs in general,

is that most of the time, it seems more intimidating than it is.

Most of the time, you're overqualified.

You're more qualified than you think you are.

Even when you're trying to get in over your head, you're not.

In this particular case, you haven't had any challenge that you didn't seem—that seemed

like you couldn't face it in 45 days?

You need a better job, man.

You need to go up higher.

You need to like face some shit that makes you think, "Oh, man.

I don't know about this.

Ahh.

This is hard."

If you're not facing that, you need a challenge.

Honestly, you do.

I wouldn't sweat this at all.

Don't think of it as—when you're given a gift, when you're given an opportunity, don't

think of it as, "Oh, I don't deserve this."

You do deserve this.

If you feel like you don't deserve it, you know what you do?

Freaking earn it.

Go and do the best job possible.

Go and prove to yourself and everyone else that you do deserve this right after you've

gotten it.

That's fine, but don't do yourself the disservice and don't do to people that are working with

you and counting on you the disservice and saying, "Oh, I'm not worthy."

I know it seems like a humble and a thing of humility, but it's not.

It only harms people.

They want a leader.

You know, sometimes I've been in leadership positions.

I'll tell you where I did not feel up to the task, but do you know what I did with my team?

I gave them 100%.

I told them, "I got this.

This is no problem.

Don't worry.

I can handle this.

We're good, man.

We're good.

I've never felt better."

Inside, I was feeling like, "Oh, my gosh.

Oh, crap.

How am I going to do this?"

On the outside, I was projecting that because I wanted to inspire that confidence in the

team because I wanted to make sure that I wasn't—I wasn't making other people afraid

and I wanted to do the best that I could.

You're in the position.

Maybe you didn't deserve it and maybe it's above where you should have been.

Great.

Take advantage of that situation and double down on that.

Don't worry about it.

Don't be afraid.

I mean it's fine to have these feelings that you're having.

That's totally normal, but get over it.

Get over yourself.

Realize that there's a mission.

You're part of a bigger team.

You've got to—whatever happens, sink or swim, being in these positions, being in these

situations that make you nervous, that make uncomfortable, that's how you grow.

I'll point you to a video I did or a talk I did on five soft skills every software developer

should know.

What it really is about is about how the only way to grow in life is to be uncomfortable.

This is great that you're uncomfortable because it means that you're growing.

All right.

If you like this video, if you haven't subscribed already, click that Subscribe button below

and make sure you click the bell so that you don't miss any videos.

I'll talk to you next time.

Take care.

Meek Mill Takes Aim at Nicki Minaj on New Album - Duration: 2:04.

What's up, guys?

Beija here for Complex News.

Meek Mill released his long-awaited new album Wins & Losses on Thursday night.

One of the biggest things people were wondering about the project was: would the Philly rapper

address the ending of his relationship with Nicki Minaj?

As it turns out, yes.

No fewer than four songs mention Nicki either directly or obliquely—and looking back,

Meek doesn't seem to like what he sees.

In the track "1942 Flows," Meek has several lines that seem to be about Nicki.

"Cut her off, act like she's dead and it's killing her," he raps, while also making mention

of an unnamed woman who, he says, "Try to crucify me like I'm Jesus the way she cross

me."

But later on in the tune, he gets much more direct.

On the track "Never Lose," Meek seems to make reference to Nicki's Remy Ma diss track "No

Frauds" and her Kanye West collaboration "Monster."

There are other nods to Nicki as well.

On "Fuck That Check Up," Meek asks, "Ever put a pop bitch on the block list?"

Nicki's Billboard chart success makes it pretty clear who he's talking about.

And on "Heavy Heart," the Philly rapper makes reference to a woman who left him with a—you

guessed it—"heavy heart," though he uses a less polite word than "woman" in the song.

Meek and Nicki dated from late 2014 or early 2015—the exact timeline is hazy, and they

didn't officially announce the relationship until that spring—and ended things in the

very beginning of this year.

In between, there were rumors of cheating, pregnancy, engagement, and a whole lot more

besides.

In recent interviews, Meek has taken a much more relaxed attitude towards people who he

feels have wronged him than his lyrics would indicate.

While appearing on Hot 97's Ebro in the Morning, the rapper seemed to have a forgive-and-forget

attitude.

"I just turned 30, man.

I be on some positive, grown-man, get-to-the-money type vibe.

What can you do?

You gonna be Instagramming and Tweeting and throwing shots popping shit forever?

We gotta live real life, too.

It's two sides to that.

I think people be getting caught up in the twilight zone, they forget that it's OK

to put your phone down."

North Korea fails to respond to Seoul's proposal for military talks - Duration: 1:56.

Today would have marked a historic chapter for the Moon adminstration... if North Korea

responded to proposal for inter-Korean military dialogue.

Unfortunately the regime remains mum to the offer.

It's made official on the part of Seoul, NO such talks.. for the time being.

We start things off with our Kim Hyun-bin at the defense ministry

Seoul's proposed inter-Korean military talks were scrapped on Friday as North Korea didn't

bother responding to the South's proposal for discussions aimed at cooling cross-border

tensions.

South Korea sent its suggestion on Monday... to hold the talks at the North Korean building

of Tongilgak at Panmunjom.

"On July 17th, we proposed holding inter-Korean talks on Friday on the North Korean side of

Panmunjom.

The talks would have been aimed at halting all hostilities between the two countries.

North Korea didn't respond, so it'll be difficult to hold talks as scheduled."

The spokesperson noted that the South's military hotline on the western border remains open

for the North to get in touch when it feels ready,.. adding that he hopes Pyongyang will

accept the offer for the sake of better ties going forward.

"Reopening communication channels is critical to reducing military tensions between the

two Koreas.

We call on North Korea to accept our proposal to hold talks as soon as possible."

With no sign of a response,..

President Moon Jae-in's vision of bringing peace to the peninsula finds itself in an

uncertain limbo.

North Korea has also yet to respond to the South Korean Red Cross's proposal to hold

talks aimed at restarting reunions for war-separated families around the time of the Chuseok, or

Korean Thanksgiving, holidays in the fall.

"South Korea will have to wait and see whether the North eventually responds,... but for

now it appears the regime is not interested in coming back to the dialogue table,... at

least not on Seoul's terms."

Kim Hyun-bin, Arirang News.

JAKI SMARTWATCH WYBRAĆ? - Duration: 15:41.

Let's talk about smartwatches.

I am a huge fan!

I have been using them for quite some time and I think it is a great product,

which has a potential to become popular...because for now, I don't see people buying it.

I understand why : first of all, operating systems which these watches use

(whether made by Apple or Android)

are really bad...

They are not intuitive and they cause more

stress than help.

It could influence the popularity of the watch.

Another thing which is an obstacle keeping smartwatches from being popular is the duration of a battery

which is not long.

In majority of watches, it is 1/2 days.

It is not enough, people do not need another thing to charge every single night!

(they already have to do it with their phones...)

So from my point of view, the moment smartwatches will have open platform for applications

(Android Wear or Watch OS)

and when the battery will be lasting longer, it will be a point when watches will become more popular.

Without switching on and off the screen, funny gestures... they should last 1 week without charging, despite what you plan to do.

So which smartwatch should you choose?

It purely depends on what you are planning to use it for.

Hello!

This is a house where Irena Krzywicka used to live.

Coming back, which smartwatch shall you choose.

If you do some sports,

and GPS tracking is important for you,

as well as sports apps,

I suggest something like this! It is smartwatch of Garmin.

I had three of them in total: Garmin Vivaofit, Fenix 3 and then Fenix 5x.

I was very happy with each of them.

They have two great features: good sports apps and

they have long-lasting battery.

Their battery lasts about 1 week, sometimes longer.

Naturally it depends on your usage, what screen lightening you'd choose and similar things...

In any case it is much better than all Android and Apple watches, which do not last longer than 1 day.

Here, we are talking about 1 week!

(conversation with a daughter about the machine

which is replacing old rails)

Every time I am here, I wonder how come there are so many cars parked here, if everyone is at work?!

Seems like people park cars here but go to work with the metro...

This is a proof that Piotr drink beer!

He is drinking alcohol during the working time!!

Well, I would like to officially state that I am not at work now!

Today I am recording an episode about smartwatches.

The watches that are smart, so to speak.

I would like to ask you: is there any sense in having a smartwatch?

For me, it is hard to say, it has been years that I was not wearing a normal watch...

But I think I would not like to have a possibility to check my messages on my wrist...

I don't need that...

What about sports? Do you think it could be useful for sports?

Hmm... if I had a watch that measured my pulse, how many steps I take... who knows

I don't know... I think we are already using our cellphones too much...

Why do you think it is a bad thing?

It is distracting our attention from normal human contact and it decreases the quality of this interaction

It starts to be something big to meet someone face to face...

So for you, smartwatch is something that has too much technology ?

Yes, people will be be engaged with their watch even more than they are with their cellphone or tablet.

They will dedicate more time for them.

When it comes to sport activities... why the hell would you like to know your pulse?

Hmmm I have an experience in this field. For a few years I have a smartwatch that measures my pulse when resting,

at the beginning I have thought that it is just a gadget

but it turned to be very useful. The watch does not measure your pulse 24/7,

only now and then ( every half an hour or when you are active).

Thanks to this measurement, I understood that there moments in a day

when I am subconsciously stressed.

Like when I have to come and see you for lunch :p

but also in the morning, when I was getting to work.

Even though my plan of the morning was automatic, it still stressed me.

Normally my pulse is 60, in the morning 120.

It is a sign that I am stressed, I was thinking about the commitments of a day at the back of my head

and all the things I had to do.

Not all of them are pleasant...

It influenced me in some way, even if I was not conscious about it. I looked at the watch and damn, I had 120 pulse!

Therefore, such measurement can be useful.

What do you need it for, except being aware that you are stressed?

I know that this situations stress me, so I wake up 20 minutes earlier now to give myself some more time.

Do you feel any difference?

I think I had everything calculated too precisely... but well, when it comes to tracking your steps, I think it is bullshit.

I think it is actually a bad thing, it gives people an impression that they are active.

Doing 10,000 steps will not change your health.

But people think that it will... and then they get Happy Meal or a kebab.

Or they buy themself a cake, thinking that they worked for it.

You didn't... you burned 200 calories, the cake is 1000.

So, which smartwatch to choose?

I have no clue.

None. You should not pick any.

Life without smartwatch is a paradise!

When it comes to the aesthetics, I like Garmin or Suunto

If sport is not important for you,

I would suggest buying a smart band, instead of a smartwatch.

For example, Xiaomi produced a cool thing, called Mi Band 2.

It costs few hundred zloty on Allegro and collects the basic info about you,

like how many steps you did, how active you are and stores it on your phone.

The battery of this band is very long, can last up to 2 weeks.

I suggest something like this!

I ran 8 km today... But I have been thinking, the discussion about smartwatches brings polarized opinions.

I think it is a great tool, it helps in productivity, but my friends said that no.

They claim it would bring too much technology to our lives.

In my opinion, smartwatches will not be popular until they don't change the batteries.

I am very curious how this market will develop.

Take care!!

Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag - Duration: 7:57.

it's already late July but I realized I have not done any reading wrap-ups this

year. And I consider myself a member of booktube so I should probably talk

about books that have read, right? that's a big part of it. um, so I'm behind on my

reading goal this year. I've started a lot of books but I've only finished

eight of them. I'm a little embarrassed but it's okay. we're going to do this tag

anyways because it'll be really entertaining. first I'm going to tell you

what those books that I've read are. the first book I completed this year was

Lumberjanes book four, out of time and then right after that was Lumberjanes

book five, band together. ah, yes. I'm catching up slowly on this series. it is

probably my favorite comic series that is currently, um, a thing. next thing I

read was a MacBeth comic, which was a part of the blind date with a book thing

that they did around February at my local library. I probably read it a month

later though. same with the next book, the last Dragonslayer by Jasper Fforde. it was

wonderful. then I read Real Friends written by Shannon Hall and illustrated

by LeUyen Pham. this was a complete 'it looked interesting so I bought it on my

birthday' situation. next was Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut.

really cool. and then I listened to the audiobook of The Heir and The Crown. so

that's what we're working with for this tag. let's get started. question number one,

the best book you've read so far in 2017. I'm going to have to give that to

Slaughterhouse-Five. A fuller review is coming. number two,

best sequel you've read so far in 2017. I guess like, this counts. because I mean,

it's a series and they're comics but they were so wonderful and lovely. number

three, new releases you haven't read yet but you want to. I guess Lumberjanes

number six. I have it. most anticipated release for the

second half of 2017. I don't I don't know. this is the thing, I'm in booktube

because I make videos about books and I enjoy the community, but I'm really not

like...I don't know where to start, honestly. how do you do it? how? how? how

does booktube work? how does it work? tell me please! Thanks. number five,

biggest disappointment. huh, like she's so mean! I knew it going in but I just had

to know...which is why I did it as an audiobook, both of them, cause like I need

to clean my house. number six, biggest surprise. the biggest surprise was Real

Friends. so I literally saw this book in a comic book store as I was buying

Lumberjanes and Sailor Moon and I said 'oh that looks

really cute' and my husband said 'I think you should get it, this looks like

something you would like' and it's my birthday so I got it. and I was not

expecting to relate to the main character and her experiences in

childhood with friends and at school as much as I did, but there were so many

things in here that just like...I felt. favorite new author. well I guess my

favorite new author is then Shannon Hale because I've never read anything from

her before. and I feel like everything else I read was from an author that I've...

Oh, Jasper Fforde, who wrote The Last Dragonslayer. he's a new author to me as

well, very interesting and I'm wondering if it's because it's a middle-grade book...

the way it was written was just, hard to describe, but the way the narrative

flowed was something I wasn't used to. number eight, new fictional crush. I'm gonna

say Kile, from The Heir and The Crown. number nine, newest favorite character. I

think I am really liking, of course all of the women, young women in the

Lumberjanes series. but Jen is a character that I didn't like it first. I

thought she was bossy and annoying and kind of

an antagonist to the girls, but as the series has gone on she's changed. And I

just like, oh. I like her: 'you have to follow the rules because of safety and

it's important' I understand her instincts and she's a cool name so, duh.

number 10, the book that made you cry. honestly, I probably shed some tears

reading...listening to, not reading. listening to The Heir and The Crown, just

because there are some moments that are heart-wrenching, I guess. also I cry super

easily. like, really easily. number 11, the book that made you happy. this one. kids

are weird, but it made me happy to read about. number 12, favorite book to movie

adaptation that you saw this year so far. I probably saw a few, I just don't

remember. the most recent one I saw though was Mrs. Peregrine's Home for

Peculiar Children. I read the book years ago. It looks good, the cinematography, the

art direction, all of that is on point (as the kids say) but I don't feel like the

story flowed very well. it was very slow at the beginning, it was kind of putting

me to sleep and I don't know if I just wasn't in the right mood when I was

watching it...but it just felt like it was a little flat overall. like kind of, you

know, ehh? I don't know, it also wasn't very diverse which probably added to the

flatness of it. number 13, favorite review you've written this year. I don't write

book reviews anymore. I used to. before I made videos about books, I had...my blog

was very focused on book reviews before it became like a blog about my life. but

I never made videos about that, now I do the opposite I guess. and I've never

written a review on Goodreads at all. number 14,

most beautiful book you've bought so far this year.

I'm gonna talk about this in a later video 'cause I'm still reading it, but I bought this

at Disneyland. and it's beautiful. the photographs, the art, it's just

beautiful. last one, number 15, what books do you need to read by the end of the

year. I don't need to do anything. I do need to read The Handmaid's Tale for a

buddy read, buddy book, buddy read video, that I got to make. so I need to read

that one. I have a bunch of books I've started either this year (or a year ago

or longer than that) that I've just not finished for a multitude of reasons. I

think I'm going to make a video about all of them, so let me know if that's

something you'd like to see. write every day. read every day. rinse. repeat. never stop.

Meow.
