Perfect Plum Preserve Recipe! |अलू बुखारा मुरब्बा | مربى البرقوق - Duration: 5:46.
Let's begin by deseeding
or pitting the plums
so, I'm just making a cross cut
makes it easier to get the pulp out
you can see that the plums
are really juicy
and slightly over ripe
that's perfect
for preserving
try and cut 2 circles
crossing each other
ease out the pulp from the seed
scrape the remaining pulp from the seed
and that's how you do it
get on with the rest of it
the plums have all been pitted
and cut into large chunks
it looks a bit messy now
but trust me
it'll work fine with the preserve
you should use a broad pan
add all the plums in it
all of it goes in
so what I do is I spread it out slightly
rather evenly
I usually add superfine (or castor) sugar
and try to spread it
all over the fruit
that I am preserving
like a thin layer of it
enough to cover all of them
I'll also add in some salt
these are all the preservatives that I am using
let's get it onto the heat
keep the heat really low
and let the sugar melt slightly
so a broad pan
helps
to cook the preserve
faster
that's simmering already
now, I like to add in a stick of cinnamon
to flavour the preserve
just look at the colour that
it has released already
we just need to
stir it
from time to time
and cook it on low heat
till it becomes a thick chutney
just look at the amount of
liquid
that has come into the pan
as if from no where
and look at the colour
as the plums cook down
the skin starts releasing
all the colour
and the flavour
that they are loaded with
I'll just add in some more sugar
the plums are really tart
adjust the sugar according to your taste
let that come to a boil
so, I'v raised the heat to medium
I need to stand here
and keep an eye on it
keep stirring the preserve
we need to
evaporate all the liquid that is there
most of it
the sauce has thickened slightly
I can make it out
by the spatula
the colour too is an indication
that it's almost half way through
the cooking time
just stay with it
and be patient
it's looking even a shade darker than before
almost like a beetroot colour
if I may say so
it's coming along beautifully
that's thickening up
and it's coating the sides of the pan as well
just see how you can
see the base of the pan
while you move the spatula around
that indicates that it has really become thick
this'll be ready soon
this looks really thick now
there's no trace of water
or any liquid
the colour is really intense
Try and bring it to the middle
see how it stays
for sometime
that's an indication that it's ready
turn off the heat
just place it on a wire rack
cool down completely
once the preserve has cooled down completely
just see that it has thickened
as well
just fish out the cinnamon stick
just saw it somewhere
there it is
take a clean jar
preferably sterilized
and store your preserve
in it
the preserve stays good for 4 to 5 months
that looks perfect!
you can see the pieces of plums in it
so its really chunky
and just
mildly sweet
I suggest that you keep it in the fridge
and use a dry (clean) spoon
to take out
as much as you want
and don't forget to put a lid on it

HAPPINESS: Don't You Give It Up - Duration: 3:17.
It worries me that some people are suggesting not to seek happiness but something else,
like meaning in Life.
I see it as a route towards a lower quality of life...settling and coping with what they
can manufacture because they have lost touch with their nature.
There is a place for meaning in Life but it cannot be a substitute for happiness.
Specifically, these are the reasons why you shouldn't give up on happiness:
You run on "Happiness" best
The type of fuel that you run best on is called "Happiness", not "sheer will".
"Sheer will" is a great quality of human beings but it was never meant to be our default power
source - it is meant to be tapped on when required to cope with more challenging times.
The reason "sheer will" cannot substitute "happiness" as an ongoing power source is
because in the absence of at least some basic feelings of happiness, it is exhausting.
Try willing yourself to do something that you hate and you'd know how draining it can
be.
"Happiness" is different - you can leave it on all day, all week, all month and all year
round and you won't feel drained.
It is a non-exhausting fuel.
As such, on a day by day basis, our default power source should be "Happiness".
How long do you think one can go on doing something just with sheer will if he/she is
unhappy?
Granted, there are some people with extraordinary sheer will but it becomes just a matter of
time before they voluntarily drive themselves off the cliff when their existence becomes
too dreary.
Besides, does "dread" even sound like the experience that you should have in the first
place?
Happiness is the only fuel that will power you on long after others have stalled.
Happiness is your "north star".
Feelings of happiness are Nature's way of telling you, "This is something worth pursuing".
Feelings of happiness = feelings that make you feel free and thriving.
When you're doing something that makes you feel expansive and energized, it is a cue
that it is worth investing some time and effort to see if you could make something great out
of it.
When you're with someone who makes you feel free to be yourself, are understood and loved,
it is a sign that this person could be right for you.
Where you feel happy is where it will lead you closer and closer to your best Life, the
one that you're meant for.
Happiness is your "north star" that will guide you to the way out when you're lost in the
midst of this gigantic maze called "Life".
Without which, how are you going to discern which path to take?
Don't tell me using rational thought because clearly, that hasn't worked out well for many
people out there.
The answer is: emotions.
And happiness is the "north star" that you want to look for in the complex landscape
of emotions to guide you to your best life.
The great thing is, it is bright and shiny and hence, obvious.

so today what I want to talk about is I want to give you guys five skills that every model should have
If you don't already have these skills, you should be working on them perfecting them because this is gonna be your main selling points
So these are five skills that model should have coming up
Alright so the first skill that a model should have is that you have to know how to sell the product so whether you're modeling
Shirts, whether you modeling clothes or service or whatever whatever you're modeling you have to thoroughly understand the product the consumers
Understand what you're working with
Being experts almost be a salesperson because you're selling it through
Visuals through pictures through your walk through your wound reappearing through your confidence. You're wearing the clothing or your skin. You're looking good
So you have to know how to sell what you're wearing
Okay, the second skill that the model should have is that you have to be charismatic
alright now what I mean by charismatic
You have to have a personality
You have to have a presence as soon as you walk into the room because you're going to be judged on this so many times
You're gonna walk into castings and open calls and the designers and photographers. They're gonna look at you
Like do I really want to work with this guy?
Do I really want to work with that model? But if you're charismatic everybody loves you you get along here people person
Everyone's gonna want to work with you and this is going to get you bookings
the third skill that a model should have and this is the most
Absolutely. The most important is that you have to be confident confidence is key because you're going to get rejected a lot you're going to
Go into castings. You're going to go to open calls
You're gonna see other models that maybe even look better than you other models who are more
Experienced and you have to wear your confidence because that's what's gonna get you books
also
You might even wear some clothing items that you don't feel so confident in
But guess what you have to be confident
You have to rock it and sell it the fourth skill that model should have is tough skin
Tough skin because this is a tough business you're gonna get rejected
98% of the time you're gonna get rejected
You're going to hear no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
No, no and no some more so you have to have tough skin. It only takes one. Yes, so
Many models going to cast and open calls hundreds of local calls and they get rejected everywhere
But guess what?
If you don't have tough skin for this business, you know you can this is not the right place for you
You have to have tough skin because you're gonna here know a lot and it's just now it's just natural is common
So like I said only takes one
Yes, one big book in or a couple of small book is here and there and you're good
You know another reason you should have tough skin is because a lot of agents and photographers and all these industry people
They're gonna pick at you. They're gonna pick it your confidence. They're gonna tell you
Oh, you're fat or your nose a little bit too big or you're a little bit too short or you know?
They're gonna criticize you all the time because you're a model and models are supposed to be perfect
Right, but they're gonna critique you a lot. So you have to have tough skin
Don't let them break you this is very important for this industry
Okay. So the last skill that you need to have is that you need to be fierce
You need to know when to turn on the fierceness
It's okay to be playful here and they are charismatic
Whatever, but when it's time to bring it you better bring that fire
You better bring that heat because when you're doing a photo shoots or runway walk everyone's judging you and if you're fierce
If you know how to turn it on and bring that fire you're gonna get booked a lot
People are gonna speak highly of you
So this is a skill that you must have
Know when to turn it on and when you do turn it on better bring that pepper, baby
Bring that fire, you know, they're saying so that's it guys

I really thank you for joining me and on my last episode we discussed all the
Process involved in submitting an offer on an agreement of purchase and sale for a buyer to purchase a property
Today we're discussing the offer presentation and the negotiation process
So first when one presents an offer it could either be presented in person in
Hardcopy or could be sent via email
Now you need to know that in the marketplace in recent months and this past year there have been multiple
offers
What does that mean that means that there is very high demand and low?
Inventory not a lot of product so a lot of buyers are vying for one
particular property and it creates a lot of excitement and a lot of
Offers that has not been happening that much right now. It really depends on the supply and the demand
But that goes without saying that you should always be pre-approved for a mortgage
When you do your home search and at this point for sure you have to know your number limitation
I did discuss that on a previous episode when I discussed
mortgages and getting mortgage approval
And how important that is the negotiation process there are several scenarios that happen the buyer and the buyer's agent?
puts together the offer which I discussed on my last episode and
It is presented to the seller and the sellers agent by email or in person as discussed
So what can happen either the offer is accepted as is no changes?
That would be really nice, but that doesn't happen that often
Most times I would say there's a counteroffer the seller does not like the number
This Celer does not like the deposit perhaps the seller maybe doesn't like the closing date. There are also
conditions of
Financing how long the financing should be?
up in abeyance
home inspection and
Status certificate approval, so these are some of the major features
That are discussed negotiated and timelines for those particular conditions in particular
So the counteroffer goes back to the buyer and the buyer's agent
They review all of these key points and also things that are included
Not included that gets also played around back and forth
The offer then can either
The buyer decides to strike out
The number or accept the number that the seller has changed
for the purchase price or the deposit or any of these things those these counter offers can go back and forth and
back and forth several times over but eventually and hopefully this offer will be
Accepted both sides will be equally happy with all the points. It's a stressful time
It's a very stressful time. However. It's exciting. It's in motion as they say the ball is in play and
Ultimately a result a good positive and happy result should take place
There is the occasional time that an offer is completely rejected by one side or the other
Nobody is going to give in on any of these points
And it doesn't work the offer then will expire. It's past the date of the of the
Living nature of this particular contract and the deal is dead to summarize if the offer is accepted
The buyer usually has two to three visits
Prior to closing to bring his or her family to bring in painters and contractors to do measurements that is always
Permitted until closing the real estate agent is not involved on the day of closing except
Maybe just to be there to deliver some food
To be there to give some cheer to their to their client to show up with maybe a pizza because they're hungry moving day is
really hard
But they're not involved in the deal the lawyers get involved in the closing of both sides
