Neide Lima, if this is the lot, look alone, the research I've done it seems

much, after you spoke I went to look it looks a lot like the one you asked.

It may be that in some region it is known like dried pumpkin too, but that's it

How To Make Bacon Wrapped Grilled Cheese Sandwich - Blackstone Griddle Recipes - Duration: 6:48.

what is up everybody this is Lila go hippie BBQ well we're gonna be cooking

today as a recipe that is so good that I only break it out like once a year we're

gonna be making some bacon-wrapped grilled cheese sandwiches we're gonna be

doing it on our black stone griddle and we're gonna be using kind of an Italian

theme with this come on in take a look while we're working with this

bacon-wrapped grilled cheese you can get as simple or as extravagant as you'd

like you could basically just throw some cheese in between two pieces of bread

wrap it and baking grill it off and you're good to go I'm gonna be going

with kind of an Italian theme on this so we're gonna be using some fresh basil

mozzarella cheese bacon then I have some artesian bread now I did this recipe in

a video a while back and I used some onions some basil tomatoes and a little

bit more complicated but with something like this I really think as simple as

you could be the better anyway these are our ingredients I'm gonna let this bacon

come to room temperature and the reason you want it to come to room temperature

is you want the bacon to be somewhat pliable so you can kind of stretch a

little bit if you need to around this bread so when this comes to room

temperature we'll get onto the next step and get cooking this bread toasted up a

little bit we're gonna start building this sandwich now part of the reason I

toasted this was a moist bread is gonna allow some of that well a lot more of

this bacon grease to soak into the bread so that toasting is going to kind of

keep that from happening so basically what we're going to do is we're just

going to go ahead and hit this with our cheese and this is gonna be a very

cheesy sandwich we need a lot of cheese to cut that bacon fat that's gonna be in

here so we got our cheese we got our basil

I'm gonna hit it again with some more cheese get our top on now we are going

to might be easier if I rotate this a little bit and we are going to start

wrapping this sandwich

so you have the one side done when I go ahead and lay some more bacon out we're

going to rotate the sandwich and get the other side or other strips laid out

we're going to place this right on top again and we're going to come back the

other direction

all right now that we have this flea wrapped in bacon let's get out to the

Blackstone and get this grilled up I'd like to apologize for all this noise in

the background so hopefully you can hear me

now one of the good things about doing this on a flattop griddle is that unlike

the last video I did a few years ago I did it in a skillet and sometimes that

bacon grease will have a have an opportunity to kind of pull and soak

back into your bread this should allow us to not have that same issue so let's

go ahead and get our grilled cheese sandwiches on

and we're gonna cook these on this side until they become crisp and then we're

going to flip them over and then we're going to get the edges as well gonna

flip this a couple times during the cook but I want to do my first flip once the

first once the bottom side to build a little bit of a crust to it what should

be about now

now keep in mind we're gonna sear these sides again but we're going to go ahead

and get these edges now we're just going to get it up on its side and don't worry

about any just baking this map to fold it all the way over we're gonna get to

that here in a little bit so let's go ahead and get this other side right

quick

we're gonna go ahead and do all four sides we got all these sides crisp so

I'm gonna go ahead and take these off they're gonna continue to cook here for

just a little bit I'm gonna take them inside let it cool off a little bit and

we'll cut into it and see what we're working with

so let's get into this and see what we think now from an aesthetic standpoint I

did this probably three years ago and I added some red peppers onions and the

basil I think that aesthetically it looked a little bit better from the

inside just because there was some of that red pepper coming through but let's

just go ahead and see we think

here's my thoughts after doing this two times I think I will go with the more

vegetable version like I did in the previous one like I said I card above

take a look at that video you know hats of onions red peppers basil mozzarella

cheese but I did not toast the bread in that one and that's one thing that I've

learned over the course of doing three of these that that is definitely a good

rap to go so this bread is a little bit crisper on the inside than it was

another one so anyway if you do this recipe you know what take

that advice you can't go wrong on it either way that being said I'd like to

thank you guys for stopping my no hippie BBQ I appreciate it

Anitta - Medicina Reaction [Koreans Hoon & Cormie] / Hoontamin - Duration: 6:02.

Our subscribers had left us comments

Look at this, this one, this

Okay, we are now going to watch it

Finally Anitta's new song has released

It has been only 4 days but it has over 21 million views

Brazilian subscribers, we're finally going to watch it

I'm curious what song it is

I'm expecting to it because it's Anitta

Now seems so familiar

As an older sister neighbor

She might not be older...

She's younger than you

A year younger

Was she born in 1993?

Not Maluma?

Maluma was born in 1994

Anyway both are younger than you

Seems like a younger sister neighbor

As much as we feel familiar with Anitta

It's time you guys feel familiar with Hoontamin channel

Though there are some Anitta's fans

Stay with our channel

What is it suddenly?

I'm saying to watch other fun videos too

For example "Hoontamin's Korea Travel Vlog"

Let's go watch the music video

It's different with the beginning, city, forest...

Each is a different country

She has a whole yellow hair

It's very yellow

What country is this?

It's a whole different feel

What's the concept of today's music video?

What is it?

How should I explain this?

The song was good

But the music video took my sight

Anitta is finally challenging on the world peace

Asia appeared, and Africa's Savanna appeared

East Europe appeared, and many various cities were shown

As I wrote the title 'Medicina' on the translator

It was just the English 'Medicine'

I thought it was some medicine or something

But I can't link it with this music video

Now it's putting effort on world peace just like Hoontamin

Is it saying it'll be the medicine to world hope?

Wouldn't there be any meaning to yellow?

The yellow hair, and wearing yellow clothes

Yellow is a representative color in Brazil

One of the symbols of Brazil is canary

It was a bit difficult, but the song was good

Anitta is pretty

The song had a fresh and whole new feel

I'm not sure how to express it

Anyway world conquer... no

What world conquer?

For the world peace...

Wonderful

When the kids sung this part, I remember this

I remember this the most

I think I always talk about 'Paradinha'

But seems like the 'Paradinha' part of the song

The Asian countries including India

Afria, Europe

We saw such diverse images

Anyway the new attempt, was cool

Our trip to the recommended videos continues

TOP 10 UNTOLD TRUTH OF ALDI!!! - Duration: 15:23.

Aldi is the brand of two different supermarket chains with over 10,000 stores in over 20

countries that makes over $50 billion dollars a year.

Based in Germany, the grocer has a reputation for providing quality product at discount

prices thanks to it's "Guiding Principle", that great quality shouldn't come at a high

price, rather great quality should come with every day low prices.

That principle has clearly served them well so we decided to find out the Top 10 interesting

facts that you might not know about Aldi.

It's Actually Two Different Businesses

While they sometimes go by the formal name Aldi Einkauf GmbH & Compagnie, oHG, especially

in North America, the reality is that Aldi as we know it is actually comprised of two

separate companies.

Named Aldi Süd and Aldi Nord (German for Aldi South and Aldi North), the two companies

are actually headquartered in different parts of Germany (with Süd being located in Mülheim

and Nord being located in Essen) and have been separate entities since 1960.

The companies are actually financially and legally separate but do combine their efforts

in terms of branding and when negotiating with contractors, but otherwise have been

operating as completely different companies (with slightly different logos) since around

the time that the Beatles were tearing it up in Hamburg, Germany.

The brothers that founded the company split in 1960 over a dispute as to whether or not

they should carry and sell cigarettes, back when they had only 300 stores and a yearly

revenue of $90 million German marks.

The individual groups were originally owned and managed by the brothers until the death

of Karl Albrecht, who died in 2014, with a net worth of $17.2 billion Euro, making him

the richest man in all of Germany.

Aldi's Got Good Gin

While they pride themselves on the value that they provide at the low price points they

have, it's safe to say that most people don't associate high end or premium, anything, with

Aldi.

So it may surprise you to hear that the store-branded gin has won awards for quality.

That's right, Aldi's Oliver Cromwell London Dry Gin won a silver medal at the highly prestigious

International Spirits Challenge in 2017, which was amazing in and of itself

but when you hear of the names that it beat out it's even more amazing.

Gins that cost as much as six times as much as Aldi's brand couldn't best their dry gin,

meaning spirits from Tanqueray, Hendrick's and Beefeater were sent home packing.

The gin goes for $12.15 in England whereas the competition like Beefeater's Burrough's

Reserve Gin sells for $80 at most stores in the UK.

That wasn't the only win for Aldi on the day, either, as their more upscale gin, Topaz Premium,

also ended up taking home a silver medal.

While it is their premium brand it isn't something that'll break the bank, either, as it retails

for about $17.50.

Talk about a deal!

Aldi's Spirits Aren't the Only Award Winning Items You Can Find at your Local Chain

Some states in the United States don't allow for the sale of liquor in grocery stores

so you might feel short-changed when it comes to your ability to purchase award-winning

items from Aldi if you're unfortunate enough to live in one of those areas.

As the previous entry showed, Aldo knows how to make a really good gin at a really low

price but luckily that's not the only thing that they sell that has won an award.

Their Broken Clouds brand Pinot Noir, which is a wine and thus also alcohol, has won awards

at different wine contests and considering the fact that it typically runs at a price

of less than $10, it is quite the steal.

Beyond that, the Broken Clouds Pinot also has won awards when combined with Aldi's SimplyNature

Organic White Cheddar Puffs, namely at the 2017 Product of the Year awards in the Salty

Snacks and Wine category.

Product of the Year is the world's largest consumer-voted award for product innovation

and considering they taste over 20,000 wines per year, the fact that Aldi was named a 'Best

Buy' (something that less than 10% of those wines receive) means that they're not only

good at making gin or even alcohol, but at basically making everything that's borderline

unhealthy for you.

Aldi's is Actually a Really Good Deal

Part of the reason that some people don't like shopping at Aldi is that they don't have

the same brands that you'd find at most of its competition and while that's something

you'd have to get used to, the savings you receive from shopping there are definitely

worth the switch.

Studies have shown that shopping at Aldi and buying their in-store brands can save you

on average around 50% versus national brands and while that number can vary it has been

shown to never be less than 40%.

That's against national brands though, so how does it stack up against other stores

and their brands?

Wal-Mart is the obvious choice for comparison as it's been able to negotiate amazing deals

for its shoppers while putting basically everyone they go against out of business (except for

Amazon, who is basically doing to them what they did to everyone else) thanks to their

ability to buy things in such massive amounts, and also thanks to their notoriously hardcore

buying methods.

Aldi actually beats Wal-Mart's brands as well, with an average savings of 20% in that regard.

That means that Aldi is basically the best place to shop if you're looking for savings,

that is until Amazon drops the prices at Whole Foods to levels no one has ever seen before.

Aldi's Instant Bread?

If there's one food that has been the staple of nearly every meal since people learned

how to bake, it's bread and while you can buy bread at the grocery store in pre-sliced

loaves, there's still no substitute for freshly baked bread when it comes to taste and wholesomeness.

Aldi seemed to understand this and they sent a shockwave through the bread industry in

Germany when it was first reported that they had basically created miniature ovens the

size of vending machines that were capable of baking fresh bread at the push of a button

in almost an instant (at two seconds per loaf).

The timing was one issue they had with it, the other was that they were able to charge

only 15 cents per loaf, a price that no baker could compete with.

Beyond that, though, the bakers had an issue with the quality of the bread, saying that

they weren't against Aldi selling bread, but that it was unfair of them to say that

it's somehow better or different than the packaged stuff they sell on their shelves.

Unfortunately for them the bread was apparently delicious, as well, so it ended up checking

all the boxes (from being extremely cost-effective, fast and delicious).

Luckily there's really only a few times a week that people will eat fresh bread and

so there's still room for the sliced stuff, but still, it's easy to see why the baking

industry was so shook.

Aldi Only Recently Allowed Credit Cards

Most places that offer low cost items have had issues with allowing credit cards at their

cash registers as credit cards tend to have higher merchant fees than debit cards or checks

and so up until recently Aldi didn't allow people to use credit cards when making a purchase

which seems unheard of in today's day and age.

However, because Aldi offers such low prices their profit margins are actually razor thin,

that means that adding an additional 10 cents per transaction can actually cut pretty deeply

into their bottom line.

However, Aldi also focuses heavily on customer experience and because of that, they decided

to make the change to accommodate the preferred buying methods of every person that shops

there.

The word is still out on needing a quarter for the carts there (as well as the whole

bag situation), the good news is that most people will give you their cart when they're

done so you really don't need any cash the next time you stop at Aldi - which increases

the amount of people in the store and thus their profits as a whole.

Aldi did also announce that they weren't changing their prices thanks to the addition of credit

cards, which was a huge sigh of relief.

Aldi was a Leader in Removing Chemicals from their

Products

These days it's not uncommon to hear from restaurants, grocery stores or basically any

business that sells food that they're moving away from food that has preservatives, dyes

or things like antibiotics or MSG in them.

That hasn't always been the case, though, and you can really thank places like Aldi

for leading the way in terms of chemical free, FRESH food.

They produced an in-store brand called SimplyNature that's focus was providing food that was as

close to a natural product as possible and through SimplyNature and then throughout all

of their private label items they eventually removed synthetic colors, partially hydrogenated

oil and monosodium glutamate (MSG) from their products.

SimplyNature goes WAY beyond that goal, though, and actually bans 125 of the most "egregious"

ingredients that people like to avoid (they also offer a gluten-free line for those of

you with celiac disease).

Aldi's Moving Towards Organic Food

In the same vein as the SimplyNature brand, Aldi was obviously one of the first grocers

to fully embrace providing healthy food to people, or should we say healthy health food

to people.

A large part of that extends to their meat and dairy products, as they removed artificial

growth hormones from their milk, as those hormones have been linked to all sorts of

problems in humans with the most notable being early puberty in children.

As of this video, they're still in the process of removing the same from their yogurt, sour

cream, cottage cheese and other dairy products which is simultaneously endearing and troubling.

It's the sort of thing where you don't really think about what is in your food until you

hear what they're removing from it.

100% all-white chicken in your chicken nuggets?

What was in it before?

Yay...

I guess?!?

To show its commitment to this cause, Aldi launched another in-store brand called Never

Any!, which means whichever item they've branded with 'Never Any!' will never have any antibiotics,

animal by-products or additives.

Considering the cancer rate has been increasing in recent years it's stuff like this that

people should pay attention to.

While organic food has a bad reputation as being over-priced and less delicious or the

go-to for hyper crunchy people who tend to lecture you about food being farm to table,

they do have a point and it's great to see a company the size of Aldi embrace the tenets

of that philosophy while ensuring that they keep prices at a level that are realistic

for every person and family.

Aldi Actually Does have Great Food

When people think of discount stores, especially when it comes to food, they think that the

low cost... costs them something.

What is that cost?

Typically people believe, at least in the case of Aldi, that they're unable to get brand

names or quality food in the store.

While you won't find a ton of brand names at Aldi (for a reason, since a lot of those

brands contain the chemicals and hormones listed in the last two entries) that doesn't

mean that you won't find food that is as good, if not better, than those brands.

Aware of their reputation, Aldi has been rolling out "fancier" products these past few years

while most importantly not sacrificing the low prices that made their owners the richest

men in Germany.

Items that Aldi has rolled out over the past few years are artisanal cheese, quinoa, smoked

salmon, and all sorts of organic foods.

So the next time one of your friends mocks you for only having Aldi brand food in your

house, slap them across the face with the gigantic smoked salmon that you bought earlier

that day and tell them that you're more than able to pay for their medical bills from the

money you saved buying from Aldi.

Once they come to, they'll understand.

They Sell Color Changing Gin

As we learned earlier in this list, Aldi is great at making gin, as they've received silver

medals and multiple awards over the years over other "fancier" gins that you'd expect

to be higher on the list (if their price is any indication, that is).

It turns out that Aldi wasn't willing to rest on those laurels, as they've recently launched

a gin that literally changes colors.

The most recent entry on this list in terms of when it was launched, Aldi's color changing

gin just came out in late July and is not only different in terms of what it looks like

but also in terms of what it tastes like.

By itself, it tastes like gin, with some forest fruit flavoring added into it, but if you

add a mixer like a tonic (to make a classic gin and tonic) that's when the magic happens.

Thanks to an Asian flower ingredient, the gin turns from a pale blue to what has been

described as a "blossoming pink" color.

The gin is distilled with the blue petals of a flower named Asian butterfly, and thanks

to it's manipulated pH levels when most anything is added to it, it will change colors.

You'd think a magical drink like this would be extremely expensive but if you're still

thinking that after listening to this entire video, then you either weren't paying attention

or we didn't do our jobs.

11 COMEBACKS FOR DEALING WITH A LIAR - Duration: 5:05.

11 Comebacks for Dealing with a Liar.

Dealing with liars can be frustrating.

Even though you sometimes lie to others too, it is just complicated when you are the one

dealing with lies.

It is annoying, and it makes you angry.

There is nothing you can do unless you know some tricks to fight against liars.

In this video, I'm going to share with you 11 effective comebacks for dealing with a

liar.

But before that, please subscribe, click the bell and watch this video until the end to

know the complete information.

Here's the things you can do when you are dealing with a liar.

#1 - Check whether they lie.

Dealing with liars should start with the fact whether they lie or not.

Otherwise, they will not admit they are doing it, making you frustrated or you'll regret

because you accuse people for what they didn't do.

#2 - Check your evidences.

If you are dealing with liars, you need to prepare a bunch of physical evidence.

Otherwise, you are risking yourself to lose arguments.

You can prepare documents, photographs, screenshots, cut documentation, and many other things.

They are important because liars will not admit even after you show those evidences.

#3 - Determine what you are going to do.

Sometimes, lies can be tolerated, sometimes they cannot.

You decide what you are going to do with the person.

You also need to consider why the people lay from the beginning.

Is there something wrong that they don't want you to know?

Or is it because the person only wants to have fun?

#4 - Say it out loud.

If you are dealing with liars, sometimes you need to yell a little.

This won't work well on people who prefer avoiding conflicts.

However, this may work if you think of something at stake.

It can be your reputation or your relationship with others.

You need to say it out loud of their lies in front of others to let them know it too.

#5 - Remember your integrity.

When you are faced with liars, remember that you still have dignity, value, and integrity.

You need to have a higher power than others in order to win the match against the liars.

The only way to do that is by strengthening your position first.

#6 - Be calm.

You are not a barbarian, and you need to solve things in calm and civilized manner.

If things get heated up, don't get carried away because it is probably their main intention

to trigger such response from you.

#7 - Watch their reaction.

The next thing you need to consider is their reaction.

It is easy to see whether they actually lie or not.

When they lie, they usually do weird things.

They also show unusual gestures that you've never seen before.

#8 - Watch for Another possible reaction.

Another possible reaction is an expression with full of regret.

Typically, it is because they are caught of lying the first time.

It is also probably because they've asked by other people to lie.

#9 - Send a strong message.

You must not lose to liars.

You are the victim, and you need to tell them clearly that you hate what they've done

to you.

However, you need to remain powerful and calm because it will make you look reliable to

talk to.

Thus, it is possible that the person eventually tells the truth.

#10 - If you happen to yell, wisely craft the sentence.

For instance, this sentence can help you to counteract the liars: 'Well done! congratulation

on your ability to create a drama from nothing.'

#11 - Reflect.

Most people are originally honest.

They don't want to lie unless they have to do it.

There are some occasion in which people are constantly lying, but that only happens on

compulsive liars.

After your comebacks, you should consider forgiving them because eventually you'll

meet them again.

Well, those are the 11 efective comebacks for dealing with a liar.

So, really cool information isn't it?

no I shoulda came back to Jurassic world nice Dino nice Dino please don't eat me

mister

okay it's great to see you again Playmobil sent me this awesome huge

explorers dinosaur toys playset it comes with a t-rex and a huge likes go looking

playset awesome Wow check out the options on the back so you got a firing

missile you got a cage here which the t-rex could attack a bunch of plants

this is the playset from the inside over here you've got like a working winch you

have like a light - like it's like some type of hieroglyphics there and these

are all the pieces that are actually in the set cool let's check it out and last

week I reviewed the other five Playmobil Dino sets so once again these have the

awesome boxes you cut three pieces of tape and the whole box opens up so you

got a nice storage box for one the sets so here is three pieces of the wall oh

wow that is a huge very heavy looking t-rex oh I like that one that one is

awesome and then back with some pieces some people treat pieces the more forest

stickers we've got boxes and a bunch of pieces from the fortress looks like

these are the pieces from the cage over here some more tree pieces you got like

the light and everything here looks like more pieces of the poor and some more

guys over here awesome oh and a set of instructions so we are going to use the

instructions and put this awesome set to okay so here is the Playmobil explorers

t-rex set wow this is a big set first I'm gonna go

ahead and take a look at what the accessories that come with this set then

we will take a look at the set itself so the first thing is t-rex this guy is

also super heavy really good quality I mean even better quality than some of

the earlier Playmobil dinosaur toys I have reviewed and tried out but anyways

the t-rex head moves up and down the mouth does so he is really cool looking

the mouth does open and close all the way really cool looking teeth yellow

eyes he's like a really like a maroon with red striping and spots on him the

arms will rotate I believe oh ok so they pop up so they don't go 360 ok so they

go a good amount but not 360 the legs will also build a good mom I don't want

to pop it off and the nails are painted like a tan color it's got like nails in

the back here so this is a really awesome looking Playmobil dinosaur and

then accessories this set is loaded with them it comes with three characters this

character here I've got a machete on her back she has a backpack with a laptop

attached which actually you could open up and pretend she is doing work on the

laptop this one comes with a pair of binoculars she's wearing a holster with

a pistol that comes out she's got a machete she is dressed for jungle

exploring and she could put another weapon into the back there

this one here this think this looks like a lady comes with

a rifle a camera she could take off around her

neck jungle Explorer outfit one of my kids put a lizard into her holster hey

why not and then a backpack here so you could actually you could push the

backpack but it doesn't look like I don't think it opens up but you could

push it so that is cool looking and then it comes with this little dog the head

moves up and down comes with like a little gold statue big huge it looks

like a snake well unless it's a double snake maybe it's two snakes intertwined

microscope bug a change of outfit so I believe this girl here could put this on

it's like some type of dress some beakers for scientific work comes with a

nice big box here you could put all the extra gear into which is cool don't even

fit the bug in there cool and if you want you could pull like the golden

statue in there those clothes and you got a little another little box here

that says danger in here I've got like looks like a satellite telephone you got

this like just be crate over here you could put all this stuff on because you

have a working lift there so you could lift this stuff up you got a work light

here you've got a plant here that opens and closes you did have this is like a

blue light you shine it on I and the tablet in there the letters would only

show up under this light but I put a triple-a battery that was good I tested

it but the light does not work so that's a little disappointing but anyways let's

go ahead and check out this fortress so this fortress is really awesome looking

we're gonna start from the top top you got a bunch of foilage trees growing out

of here okay they don't move I think yeah you

could swivel it so you could put the tree branches in two different

directions here you have an action button if you push this the gate will

fall down which I will show you in a minute

it's got like jewels in the eyes so this looks almost like the whole front of the

fortress looks like some type of statues head so these jewels would be the eyes

you got a plant there and then if you push the action button BAM the door

falls down and locks into place and you simply go ahead push it back up here and

it is locked into place again to fall down again so you can slam a shot if the

t-rex tries to get into the opening you could slam it shot right to his head

although I wish they would made a little bigger fortress for the t-rex or made

the t-rex I don't want the t-rex smaller by me and I wish they'd have made the

fortress bigger because it almost seems too small compared to the size of the

t-rex so back here you got a ladder so you could have your guys climb up the

ladder to different sections of the platform there like she could be over

here this girl up top here and the other one could be on the bottom doing the

scientific work here you're seeing a rope that rope goes to this lift over

here if you go ahead and detach this rope you could lower the lift to the

ground to bring up equipment so you could pull this big box up there

and then you pull the rope it actually lifts the equipment up and you could put

it into different sections of the platform which is really cool and then

the platform has the bottom level here it shows like t-rex and the plant over

there if you're looking up here you've got swivel lights here swivel lights

there it would have been kind of cool if they would have made these lights to

actually work I'm if you to put a watch battery in there that would have been

really awesome and then that is the second level and then you've got the top

level so with this top level here you've got this big like ray gun thing that

actually works so if you push the button here it's actually flashing lights on

the top there it's a little harder there we go and it's a lot brighter than it

looks because my lights here are set up for really bright lighting so it is

really cool looking then here you've got I'm not exist this looks like some type

of a trap system that actually will close up so

you could push it too close so maybe that's the t-rex he's he's tall enough

to come here maybe you could have it lower and trap him in there so he can't

eat our friends awesome and I have reviewed the other five sets go ahead

and check out my episode terror go ahead and check out my episode last week it is

a five Playmobil dinosaur sets and in the description it's terror and zoo so

you have a breakout of animals in Jurassic world so that is awesome so

Sony RX100 VI (M6) vs RX100 V (M5) Side-by-Side Comparison! [4K] - Duration: 7:04.

this is the new Sony rx100 Mark 6 can you tell the difference

okay what about now I'm Ben from Authentech and what you just saw is one

of the biggest updates and improvement Sony made to their new mark 6 its

predecessor the mark 5 which I actually made a full review video make sure you

check that one out later it had an optical zoom lens of 24 to 70 mil the

new m6 blows that one out of the water with the 24 same wide angle but zooms

into 200 millimeters that's some incredible reach for such a small and

portable point shoot camera

now unfortunately that extra zoom does come with a downfall the old m5 aperture

was at 1.8 to 2.8 the new m6 goes from 2.8 to 4.5 so that smaller aperture

might affect some of your low-light shots and even a bit less of that

background blur it's a trade-off I did a quick aperture test side by side m6

verse m5f 2.8 verse F 1.8 and here's the difference in background blur and

possible bokeh also here's a side-by-side of both cameras at about 70

millimeter at 4.5 verse F 2.8 honestly both look razor sharp and nice on each

one thing I got to remind myself this one inch mirrorless sensor 20.1

megapixels with a 24 Y to 200 millimeter lens is packed inside a pocket

point-and-shoot an uber portable camera body and there's a cost to this feature

we'll come back around to this at the end is it worth it another new and big

feature that a lot of us were asking for in the m5 it now offers touch focus so

now it's ultra fast and easy to tap the screen wherever you want your focus

point to hit and with that wide coverage 315 phase detection autofocus it should

grab and lock that focus fast and accurately which is nice and convenient

in this world of all of us shooting video on our cellphones we're used to

just tapping our screens for focus so it's nice to see this simple yet useful

feature in this camera unfortunately the touch screen doesn't

work in the menu system this is a bummer and I'm not sure why the next

improvement the m6 has over the m5 the tilting screen which I use all the time

now we can finally tilt a full 180 degrees 90 up and 90 down when we tilt

the m5 screen down it stops at about 45 degrees and I've almost snapped it off a

couple of times I'm often shooting in this up position with a camera pointing

straight down for tabletop unboxing b-roll shots yet you can't really see

the screen clearly with the m6 now we can fully

tilt it which is really nice and I'm thankful for it another new feature the

m6 can now shoot 4k HDR video as the name implies this will offer a much

higher improved dynamic range in all your cinematography and it's a great

feature especially for those people who have time and love to tinker with color

grading and correcting and post-production it offers more accurate

colors lifelike textures and it's all aimed to offer more real to life video a

few more smaller but nice improvements I like there's this new menu design

there's this tab for custom favourites for quick and convenient tweaking the

EVF used to be a two-step process but now it pops up and out in one motion

same with popping it back in the m6 uses the same batteries as previous models

this is nice if you already have a lot of these little guys already laying

around onto one of my favorite features of the sony RX cams it still offers the

insane high frame rate recording up to 1,000 frames per second I kind of want

to make a whole video on this feature when you slow light down 40 times

it's so cool watching how things and people and animals move all in the blink

of an eye

now sadly there's still one major downfall of this camera and it's what

everyone's saying there's still no microphone jack

my thoughts well Sony did this maybe to push people who really need good quality

audio into their next tiers of cameras like the alpha and a 7s lineup but then

sadly those cameras are losing the compact nosov this little camera I'll

say it anyway though I hope we can see a mic port and a hot or cold shoe added in

there next m7 model my other little complaint 4k video is still capped at

that 5 minute mark just keep this in mind so the big conclusion I see this

camera being a perfect fit for medium and large-sized youtubers and vloggers

having that massive extra zoom would open a world of new creative shots

I imagine travelers and bloggers the camera snaps insanely beautiful

photographs and incredible HD or 4k video touchscreen focus razor sharp lens

this camera alone could produce some really great YouTube videos and the

reason I say medium to large size channels the price isn't expensive for

these guys they go through these things like candy now what about the rest of us

public where $1,200 is still a lot of money well I see a lot of people making

the argument like what Casey said you can get all three of these for the same

price as this point you however there's a cost to having that same amount of

photo and video power that a DSLR offers pack down into a camera that can

literally slide into your pocket no DSLR is doing that and for a lot of people

shooting discreetly and subtly is important a point-and-shoot is a lot

less intimidating for both the shooter and people around it's a lot more

compact for traveling whether you're just heading to the local coffee shop or

traveling abroad to Cambodia sadly the m6 still doesn't offer that mic import

which is a bummer but for some vloggers bloggers and many others out there the

built-in audio will do just fine that huge optical zoom is gonna be a great

selling feature for many and honestly well done to Sony for offering some nice

improvements to this new rx 100 mark six if you want to check out more info

all the links will be down in the description huge thanks to Sony for the

lender unit and thank you guys for watching ring the bell to stay up to

date on all my future tech videos and until next time let's live on

that's tonkatsu, tonkatsu are crumbed and deep-fried pork cutlets and this

restaurant behind me that we're going to eat at

has been awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand awards two years in a row so we can't

wait to try their version

"thank you very much"

we've got our tonkatsu in front of us and holy moly these meals

just look insane, so I ordered rosu katsu set so this is the pork loin

cutlet, there's a pile of shredded cabbage on top and my set comes with a

bowl of rice and also miso soup, Thomas has got the kare katsu so a pork

loin cutlet and then rice, some pickles a soft boiled egg or half a soft boiled egg and then

this huge pile of curry sauce and his comes with miso soup as well

look at this

curry so it's full of minced pork, has a beautiful very thin skin forming on it

and this beautiful Japanese style rice kind of a little bit sticky holds

together really well, I want to try the rice and the curry first

oh wow, oh my god the curry's got a beautiful thickness to it

oh man that is good but we've gotta go into this pork as well I mean look at that crumb on

there it is ridiculously crispy I'll grab this middle bit, look at that, dunk

it in the curry

wow wow wow that is so good the pork itself is super soft and easy to eat, a little bit

juicy, it's perfectly cooked and the crumb is super dry and the lightest crumb I've ever tasted

it sort of just dissolves as it crunches, oh gosh that is good

I want to just grab some cabbage from

under there it's beautifully fresh, very thinly cut cabbage and I'm just gonna swipe

that through the curry as well

that adds a true crunch to the dish and obviously a real freshness

this is unreal

let's get a piece of this pork with the crumb, we'll get some of these pickles put

them on the top, obviously some rice put that all together and I'll break this

egg in half, let's just get half that egg in there at the same time

mmmmm

oh my god

wow, wow

the pickle just added a tiny, tiny little twang, I couldn't really taste it in that

that might be better as sort of between mouthful bites

mmm that's really mildly

pickled so it's just really crunchy, it's quite good to freshen up the mouth this

is absolutely unreal

it was torture filming Thomas and having

the tonkatsu's smell like wafting up into my nostrils I've got to get in

so my tonkatsu comes with a slice of lemon so I'm just gonna drizzle that all over

the pork cutlet and then I've also got a splodge of mustard here let's just try

this middle piece of tonkatsu oh my gosh check out that meat it's just still

slightly pale pink and there's all this juice oozing out of it, I just want to try it naked with nothing on it

mmmmmm, oh my god that is insane

the meat is really juicy and the crumb like Thomas said is so light it almost

just dissolves in your mouth as you crunch through, you get the first bite

of crispiness of that crumb and then that meat is insane it's so juicy

it's got a ton of flavour and this restaurant uses pork which comes from Okinawa so

that's what they're famous for whoa, I'm gonna get actually some of this sauce

which is on the table this tonkatsu sauce and drizzle it over this piece alright let's

see what that tastes like

mmmmmm, mmmm! Mmm!

that adds another dimension it's quite sweet, quite savoury it tastes like a mix of

ketchup and barbecue sauce and Worcester sauce, that adds a real tanginess to

the meat

I love the presentation of Japanese food so the tonkatsu is sitting

on this tiny little wire rack and then this pile of fresh shredded cabbage

just it just looks so simple and beautiful

so appealing to eat, I'm gonna get another piece of this pork, give it a dab

in that mustard

mmmm follow it up with some cabbage

mmmm and then some rice hahaha

mmmm, mmm

oh man that's just so good, the hot, slightly starchy rice

that really fresh cabbage, that really just is the perfect accompaniment because

it just takes away any greasiness there might be or oiliness from that crumb on that tonkatsu

and then that meat is so

juicy, that mustard is quite spicy actually and it added a really great sort of kick of spice, that is so good

I spotted everyone pouring some white sauce onto their cabbage so I asked the

waiter for some and I'm gonna do exactly the same and then give that taste

ohhhh hahahah this

meal is just so exciting to eat

mmmmm

it's like a creamy ranch dressing, oh this is heaven on a plate

mmm, mmm, mmmm! Wow! That was spectacular!

I don't think I've eaten pork that juicy before, it was amazing

it blew my mind, so delicate such a simple meal but flavour explosion and mine, the curry in my one

I think it had Szechuan pepper in it because as I went on and particularly

right at the end I started getting a quite a numb tongue oh

everything about that was spectacular mm-hmm I would eat that again in a

heartbeat

next up for this video we are going to eat sushi at a sushi train restaurant

now there are thousands of conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Tokyo but we chose

this one Hanamaru because it's affordable, it's supposed to be really

excellent fresh fish because we have heard that

the Hanamaru buyers are so well-respected in the sushi industry

that they get special access to really good fish in Tsukiji fish market so we are

so excited to get our fill of sushi

this place is great it's on the tenth floor of the Tokyu Tower so there's this

amazing view of the city or of Ginza which is the suburb that we're in and there is so much

delicious looking sushi going past on the train or on the conveyor belt and

what's really cool at sushi restaurants is, we're sitting at the, at a table or a

booth as opposed to at the sushi bar but there's a hot water tap here and they've

also got mugs going past so I'm just gonna grab a mug and then there's matcha

powder or green tea powder on the table so you just fix yourself a mug of

green tea to start off with and then you can just start loading up your

table with sushi that's going past as well as putting in an order from the

sushi chefs if it's not on the conveyor belt

"excuse me, thank you"

we have got our first round of sushi and oh my gosh this stuff looks fresh so

let me talk you through what we've got we're starting with the minced fatty

tuna, with a bit of spring onion, some inari so that's rice with bean curd

sheets wrapped around it, at the front here is minced fatty salmon with a raw quail

egg, that looks incredible, some salmon which has been seared so

aburi salmon, tuna, this amazing looking grilled eel with that beautiful sauce based

on the top, this is raw squid and it's served with a spicy cod roe and then fresh

salmon and then finally some rolls with wasabi leaf I believe

this is super exciting

I'm gonna start with this quail egg one so the minced tuna and that raw quail

egg yolk in there so I'm just gonna dab a very small bit of soy sauce on there

and of course one mouthful

mmmm

Wow, mmm, oh that is so good

the salmon on one side of my mouth and

the egg yolk on the other so they're completely different textures and then

they popped and moulded together and it made the salmon that minced up salmon super

creamy as the egg yolk all mixed in with it and there's some spring onions on there so

had a little bit of crunch from the fresh spring onions and the rice is very, very

delicate that is a good first mouthful here

grab a bit of ginger

so that just cleanses the palate

mmmm ooooo really nice and sharp so it's pickled ginger so

crunchy really tangy and a nice gingery spice going on

now I gotta have my favourite

that's eel I love anything eel and this is a

roasted eel with the beautiful sticky sauce on top

let's get that so I'm not gonna add any soy or anything to this one, straight

on in

mmmmm

Ohhhh that fills me with joy that is so

good the sauce on top is a little bit sticky

a little bit sweet, the eel itself perfectly cooked still a little bit warmth

from being roasted but just a fraction, very soft meat, I love the texture of eel

and that is perfectly cooked there's no sliminess in the fats that are in

there it's all just perfect, another awesome plate, so with these

plates it's all colour-coded so you can see some are green, some are blue and

they all have different values so at the end of the meal they just charge you

based on what amount and what colour plate you've got, it's super simple

ingenious

this here is the fresh squid with the spicy marinated cod roe so I'm gonna

get one of these oh I might just pop a little bit of soy sauce on there

so I'm just gonna dab it lightly on the top

all right, one bite

mmmmm, mmmm, mmmm

whoa that was so good the raw squid is really tender and super creamy

the marinated cod roe you can't really taste very strong it's just like the

faintest hint of flavour there but that oh that squid it is delicious it is

so tender and creamy all right next up the minced

fatty tuna with the spring onion oh oh it's gonna topple over

alright, get a bit of that soy on there ohhh the spring onions are sliced

really really fine and that minced fatty tuna looks so good

mmm, mmmm

mmm, mmmm, mmmmm

whoa, ohhhh

the tuna is so flavoursome, it's really creamy, really rich, it almost just melts in your

mouth and it's so fresh and then the spring onion it gives it a fresh burst

it's got that slight sort of spiciness oh that's delicious and the rice is really beautiful it's

not all clumpy and sticky, it's just the perfect consistency

I'm really intrigued by these wasabi leaf rolls so it looks like a pickled

wasabi leave in there, I have eaten raw wasabi leaf like fresh wasabi leaf straight

off the plant before and it was beautiful and tangy, I'm really interested to try these

just gonna give it a quick little dunk in the soy sauce just a small coating

mmmm, mmmm

that is beautiful so the leaf is much more mild than the

root so wasabi is the root of this plant the very hot wasabi that we're used to

and this is just a very mild version of wasabi, it's beautiful got just enough tang to

really feel it on your tongue and on the sides of your mouth but it doesn't go up

your nose like a big splodge of wasabi root does that's really nice too

I can't not get

into this piece of salmon so it's just a raw piece of salmon but it's been

blow-torched on top so just slightly cooked on top a

cheeky little dip in that soy it's got a sauce on top like a sweet soy, a thick

sauce has been brushed over the top so it doesn't need much soy

oh man

seriously wow another incredible mouthful everything I've had has been unreal, this is

amazing, amazing I'm loving it, there's so much cruising past on the conveyor belt we can order

more sushi straight from the chefs we're definitely gonna be we're gonna

easily wolf down these plates and then we're gonna get another of plates, this is a

very good meal

our stack of plates is growing and we've ordered a second round

so we have got sweet prawn, this is grilled

vinegared mackerel, we've got some raw squid here,

raw salmon again, the eel we just had

to order another plate because it is insanely delicious and then this is a

boiled conger eel roll with cucumber we're just gonna get into it because

there's only so many "oh my gosh this is amazing's"we can say about this

meal the fish is so fresh, the flavours are just so on point and this is such a

memorable experience especially being this high up over the

city

two incredible meals here in Tokyo I would eat both of those right now

again they were amazing, highly, highly recommended, remember to hit that

LARGEST Animals In The World - Duration: 10:36.

If you want to witness some of nature's most curious creations, you need not look

further than the animal kingdom.

There are so many weird and amazing things going on there that you will end up falling

in love with them.

Unfortunately, that love sometimes transcends into greed and that is where the poachers

come in.

But even they will think twice about approaching some animals because of their massive size!

Let us look at some of the largest animals on Earth.

12.

Green Anaconda.

There are hardly any of us that like snakes.

The ones who do are usually considered weird.

The reason for that is that they are slimy and dangerous.

And while poison is that snakes are associated with, the truth is that most of them are not

poisonous.

But that does not mean that they are not dangerous.

Especially the green anaconda, which, pound for pound, is the largest snake in the world

today!

It is a member of the Boa family and although the reticulated python can grow longer, the

green anaconda is almost 2 times as heavy!

They can grow up to 29 feet and weigh more than 550 pounds and are generally around 12

inches in diameter!

They generally live in swamps and slow moving waters in South America and pretty much anything

they want is food for them given that they can constrict their prey and choke them to

death!

Wild pigs, deer, turtles and even jaguar feature on their diet chart regularly!

What's amazing is that their eyes and nose are on the top of their head so they can pretty

much hide their girth underwater while waiting for prey!

11.

Blue Whale.

Simply put, the blue whale is the largest animal.

Ever!

It is about as big as a basketball court and requires a heart the size of a car to drive

it!

And when you are that big, the depths of the ocean is probably the best place to stay!

That is why the blue whales, who are mammals and not fish, stay in the water probably!

The blue whales are absolutely amazing creatures which will leave you in awe no matter who

you are.

And to sustain its magnificent size, the blue whale eats around 3.6 metric tonnes of krill

each day during the summer feeding season!

So, if you ever know someone who is boasting about their size, introduce them to one of

these gigantic beasts and maybe they will learn some perspective!

10.

African Bush Elephant.

Elephants are known for their size and strength and that is why they are often the subject

of many metaphors!

And of all the elephants that roam our planet, the African bush elephant is the largest.

In fact, it is the largest living animal on land measuring over 10.8 feet in height, 24.6

feet in length and weighing about 6 tonnes each!

And what comes with that size is a kind of respect from other animals.

Which is why the African bush elephants have no natural predators.

The young ones though do face threats from lions and crocs mostly, but the parents are

usually enough warning!

9.

Giraffe.

They have kind of been the butt or neck of Darwin jokes, but the Giraffes are really

wonderful animals.

And while they may not be the largest animal when it comes to size, they are definitely

the tallest!

A giraffe generally measures between 16 to 20 feet tall.

The reason for their great height is obvious.

They have pretty long necks, which can be over 6 feet in length as well!

Imagine that!

An entire adult human being could fit in the neck of a giraffe!

And while many may think that these long necks are because of extra cervical vertebrae, the

truth is that they just have elongated bones, and not extra ones!

Apart from being tall, they also have pretty interesting skin with brown patches that make

them really amazing!

8.

Southern Elephant Seal.

When people are scared of animals, it is mostly because we think that they might eat us.

And if that is what you are worried about, then stay away from the southern elephant

seal.

These huge creatures are the largest living carnivore and there is a lot of disparity

between the males and females.

The male seals are 5-6 times heavier than the females weighing between 2200 to 4000

kilos and extending 15 -19 feet long!

Their happy hunting ground is the water where they can dive for up to 20 minutes to hunt

for squid and fish at depths of 1300 to 3300 feet!

They are also known for roaring pretty loudly and their main feeding area is at the edge

of the Antarctic continent.

And while they prefer the water to the land, they have been seen sliding across rocks,

sometimes in groups as well!

7.

Bear.

Bears are generally the stuff of nightmares for all kids who go to camp.

Sighting of a bear is enough to scare most adults, leave alone kids.

But if they ever came across the polar bear or the Kodiak bear, that would most definitely

lead to scarring for life!

The polar and the Kodiak bears are the largest known species of bears and the two are more

or less of similar size with a shoulder height of 5.2 feet and a total length of 10 feet.

They can weight up to 1000 kilos and while they are calm most of the time, you should

avoid seeing them angry if you can!

They can be terrifying!

These bears are the largest land carnivores in the world and they are pretty fearsome

when it comes to it!

6.

Saltwater Crocodile.

When it comes to sheer strength, there is nothing more powerful than a crocodile.

Most animals steer clear of them and for good reason.

And when it comes to crocodiles, there is nothing scarier than the huge saltwater crocodile.

They are the largest of all living reptiles and can weigh anything between 400 to 1000

kilos.

They grow up to 13 to 18 feet and some have been known to grow up to 20 feet long!

The saltwater crocodile is a very territorial animal and they are also very adept hunters.

Which basically means that anything which comes into its territory is marked as food

and they are capable of taking down almost any animal that crosses its path.

5.

Flemish Giant.

When we think of rabbits, size is definitely not the first thing we think of.

These fluffy animals are extremely cute and make for good pets that come in very manageable

sizes.

That is until you come across the Flemish giant.

They are an old breed of domesticated rabbits and are the largest rabbits known to man.

They are a very patient animal and have a docile nature, which makes them excellent

as pets.

They have a glossy and dense fur coat, which is why they are sometimes reared for their

fur and also their meat, though why would anyone want to eat such cute animals is beyond

comprehension!

They weigh about 15 pounds and can grow up to 4 feet in length!

4.

Ocean Sunfish.

Bony fish are the name given to fish that have bony skeletons instead of cartilaginous

ones.

There are over 29,000 species of this type of fish and the largest of them is the ocean

sunfish.

They are also known by the name mola mola and can weigh up to 1000 kilos with a fin

to fin length of 8.2 feet.

But there have been individuals who have been recorded to be up to 14 feet with weight of

up to 2300 kilos!

They generally live in tropical and temperate waters and keep to the bottom of the ocean

because of their weight.

The reason for their bulk is that their main source of food are sea jellies but because

they have so little nutritional value, the sunfish end up consuming a lot of it!

3.

Ostrich.

Imagine a bird so heavy that is not able to fly!

That is the fate of the ostrich, which also happens to be the largest birds alive today.

They can reach a height of 9.2 feet and weigh over 156 kilos.

And when the bird is so big, the egg also must be!

The ostrich egg is the largest in the world and weighs 1.4 kilos!

But don't be fooled by their girth.

Even though the ostrich cannot fly, they are extremely fast runners and can reach speeds

up to 60 mph!

The ostrich is found only in Africa and they have very strong legs.

That is also their defence mechanism as they are known to be extremely strong kickers!

Another thing people think about ostriches are that they bury their heads in the sand

when threatened, but that is a misconception.

The ostrich actually lie on the ground with their necks on the ground!

2.

Woolly Mammoth.

When we think of the largest animals on land today, we think of the elephants.

But one of the close relatives of the elephants were the woolly mammoths, and they were much

bigger than the elephants known today.

The mammoths could grow up to 13 feet tall and weighed about 6 tonnes!

One distinct feature about them was that they were covered in fur which helped them live

in the frigid climates of their habitat.

And that is the reason why they are one of the best studied extinct animals today because

the cold has preserved many specimens of the massive animals.

In fact, one of the hair found in one of the mummified mammoths measures 3 feet in length!

Efforts are on foot to try and bring these amazing creatures to life, but that might

still be some time away!

1.

Tyrannosaurus Rex.

While they may not be around anymore, there has never been a greater predator to walk

the Earth than the T Rex.

They might not have been the largest dinosaurs when it came to size, but they were pretty

huge and were definitely the best hunters.

That is why they have been given the title of the King of Dinosaurs by many scientists.

They measured around 12 feet in height, 40 feet in length and used to weight about 9

tons!

What made them so dangerous as hunters was that they had strong thighs which could propel

them to great speeds, their tail could deliver deadly blows and they had one of the strongest

bites ever known!

Let us just say that we are glad that these gigantic hunters are not around any more,

or they would definitely be the dominant species today!

We hope you enjoyed this list and if you have ever come across any of these giant animals,

do let us know how it feels like to be so dwarfed by them!

And do remember to subscribe to our channel to get the latest updates on our videos!

First Date GONE WRONG! (Animated Story-Time) - Duration: 12:38.

The Mini-Golf Mongoose and Her Hypocritical Hijinks

Hey guys, Culture here.

Today we're going to be discussing a story.

More specifically, we'll talk about some events that happened to me and the emotional

impact of these events.

Whoa, stop right there.

You gotta loosen up a bit Culture, this isn't one of your dingy old educational videos.

This is a story from your life, full of excitement, danger and intrigue: Spice it up a bit!

I'm sorry, you're absolutely right Crash.

I should let my hair down a bit

Oh god, that's just… ergh… just not the right look for you.

Let's try something a little more… classy, sophisticated even.

More like this?

Muuuuuuuch better.

Now all you need is a tweed jacket and a pipe.

Okay, let me just- HOLD ON!

This is supposed to be my video, what are you doing in it?

Get outta here!

Alright, alright.

Good luck people; Culture's life is more boring than a plain piece of toast.

Then allow me to butter up the metaphorical toast of my life with some tales of love and

loss, some "caliente" romances and some "not-so-caliente" dates.

I'll spread a thin layer of vegemite with dry wit and top with the avocado that is my

humorous perspective.

Next, I'll add some paprika-

GET ON WITH IT!

Oh, right, right.

Well, boys and girls, it may surprise you to hear that I too am a patron of the sultry

seductress that is Tinder.

That swiping succubus has claimed more of my hours than I care to admit and led me down

paths no mortal person should walk.

I can't impress upon you enough just how warped your ideas of people become when you

begin to judge them based on a couple pictures and a short biography.

At first, I struggled to adjust to this new format but soon I became enthralled by it.

I was lost to the swirling vortex of identities that were compressed down and manufactured

by this flirtation factory.

And then it was as though in the waters I came across a paddle, a tool to give me direction

and guide my shambling self through this maelstrom of matches.

I began to perfect my profile, mould my messages and refine my rapport to the point at which

I felt at one with the shallow system of Tinder.

My paddle became a double-ended paddle, then a sail and rudder, then an outboard motor

and finally a plutonium powered nuclear reactor strapped to the back of my dinghy that I could

use to push back against the ceaseless tides.

My confidence grew and I saw fit to take a plunge into the icy waters and answer a siren's

call.

She thought she was tempting me into the abyss, but I had come prepared.

And so, I took aim and released the perfect shot.

I said, "Hey, what's up?

Your dog looks cute in that picture!"

She responded "Haha thanks, not much.

What's up with you?"

I floundered.

She had simply deflected my query, she refused to reveal her goings-on and in doing so left

me with no leverage by which I might make a witty response or insightful comment.

Was I wrong to say her dog was adorable?

Why didn't she at least tell me her dog's name?

Isn't that what people do when you remark about their pets?

Isn't it?

ISN'T IT?!

My once proud vessel was washed upon the rocks and the tide fell away leaving me stranded.

This was my first venture into the ocean of Tinder profiles, but what I didn't realise

then was how many adventures there were to come.

I'd like to take this story time to tell of my experiences on Tinder, and of dates

in general, in the hopes that you might glean some element of my character from these tales

and learn not to make the same mistakes.

Or hey, maybe you'll just get to laugh at my misfortune.

Either way, let's begin with a story I like to call: "The Mini-Golf Mongoose and Her

Hypocritical Hijinks."

This story begins in the early days of Bumble, an app essentially identical to Tinder except

the girl always gets to message first.

This prevents girls getting spammed with creepy messages from strangers who they drunkenly

swiped right on the night before while having a laugh with their girlfriends.

And no, before you start making jokes, I wasn't on Bumble because I'd exhausted every option

on Tinder.

I'd just reached my cap on swiping for the day and didn't want to buy whatever the

Tinder Premium thing is called.

Gold, I think?

Tinder Gold?

Tinder Platinum?

Why am I asking when no one can answer?

Anyway, downloading another app seemed the fastest way to solve my problem.

I started swiping and immediately noticed that I was finding a lot of genuinely attractive

girls.

Now I knew why it was called Bumble: Because it was full of honeys… oh god, I hate myself

for that joke.

Can we just forget I said that?

Great, I'd rather not be remembered as a creepy uncle.

Within a few minutes I had matched with a girl and she looked super cute, I honestly

couldn't believe we had matched.

I thought for sure it must be a bot or something but no, she was real, and she messaged me

that night.

We had a bit of playful banter back and forth, she seemed confident and intelligent and had

a good sense of humour.

I was ready to ask her out on a date, and I'd been mulling over the idea of mini-golf

as a first date activity.

It has a few advantages: It gives you a chance to chat unlike a movie, bit of competitive

spirit to get the conversation going and not too long so if the date is going badly you

have an exit plan.

Little did I realise that I was going to need that last advantage the most.

The day of the date arrives and I've got the usual pre-date jitters but mostly because

I'm excited to meet this girl in person.

Let's call this girl Penelope.

Actually no, that's too nice of a name for this girl.

Let's call her Time-waster.

I step inside the mini-golf lobby and see there's only one person in the whole place.

She doesn't look at all like Time-waster, so that couldn't possibly be her.

As I look more closely though, the truth dawns on me: It is Time-waster.

She sees me and smiles.

She looks nothing like her picture on Bumble.

I force a smile back.

My mind is rotating through the pictures on her profile, stripping away at the filters

and accounting for how she posed herself to try and explain the disparity between the

girl I saw on Tinder and the girl in front of me.

But in the next instant I realise how stupid I'm being: What does it matter if she doesn't

look exactly like her pictures?

She's still cute, and we got along really well when we talked online.

I resolved to give the date a fair shot and see if we connected on a deeper level.

As you can guess by the nickname "Time-waster", this was a foolish endeavour.

The first issue was she was clearly very shy.

Like incredibly shy.

Not like "It's cute that she blushes when I compliment her" shy but more like "So

shy that she can't bring herself to hold a conversation with another person and withdraws

as a defence mechanism" shy.

I'm not holding it against her, I get a bit shy when meeting new people too, but it's

impossible to have an engaging conversation with someone who kills every topic with a

simple "yes" or "no" or "maybe" or "I don't know."

I think it felt especially egregious at the time because it was so different to how Time-waster

spoke on Bumble; it was jarring.

But at this point I just felt a little uncomfortable and a little sorry for her, I wanted to do

my best to let her relax into the situation and open up a bit more.

If you're feeling sorry for her at this point in the story, just wait.

We begin playing, and I'm trying desperately to make small-talk about anything.

I'm getting smiles and nods of acknowledgement but no real responses, no back-and-forth.

I'm formulating a game plan to wrap this up as quickly as possible and get out of here.

Then she takes a putt and the ball comes within millimetres of going in, and she's gets

all puffed up about it and taps it in anyway, saying "We're not counting that one."

I'm like okay, she's trying to be playful and keep it light; that's good!

I mean she's a cheater, but at least she's a cheater who's showing some personality

now.

I laugh and say "Alright, alright" and we move on to the next hole.

This one's got a water hazard and Time-waster wastes no time in smacking her ball right

into the water.

She plucks it out, "That one doesn't count either."

I laugh again, even though her tone was more serious that time.

She's getting frustrated, I can tell.

So now we've gone from no personality to frustrated: Fantastic.

The game proceeds in this way for a while, cycling through silence, frustration and attempts

at small talk.

She decides to break up this repetition with a new element: Bragging.

She's bragging because she's beating me.

How surprising, the person who's able to retract any dud shot she makes is winning.

What a flattering quality in a person, someone who brags about such small victories.

And no, she wasn't doing it a cute way.

It was aggressive bragging, rubbing it in my face.

She genuinely thought she was better than me.

I don't think I'm a prideful person, but this date certainly tested my patience on

the matter as she stripped away every shred of my manhood.

I'm trying to figure out how best to explain how awful this really is.

Imagine if you got a pet mongoose because they looked cuddly in pictures.

You bring it home and the whole way home it's completely silent, you think it's just nervous.

Then you go to play with it and it doesn't engage with you at all.

When you try to feed it, to show it some degree of affection, it lashes out and scratches

your hand.

You try desperately to have fun with this mongoose and it gives you nothing in return.

Then, to add insult to injury, the mongoose finds your pet snake and kills it.

Time-waster is the aggressive mongoose ripping the snake, my manhood, to pieces.

Let's not think too long about the symbolic ramifications of a snake representing manhood.

And you know what, I'll say it: She had a face a bit like a mongoose too: Small features

with a pointy chin and sharp teeth I thought I was above commenting on her appearance

but apparently not.

I think it adds something to my growing dislike for her, that every time she was bragging

or getting mad at her awful putts or pouting that I had to look at her little mongoose-y

face.

We proceed to one of those holes where you hit the ball up a slope at the very start.

If you miss, the ball hits the opposite wall and rolls back down.

Of course Mongoose herself stuffs it up about 3 times and resets every time.

When the ball rolls back down my eyes roll along with it.

She finally hits the ball in after sighing super loudly and it's my turn.

I take a shot and miss and it rolls back down.

Jokingly I say "Lucky we're not counting those ones." and she says "Yes we are."

I think she's kidding of course, but her deadpan expression says otherwise.

I'm like "You got to take yours back," and Mongoose says, and I quote, "Yeah, but

you're a guy."

My mind is blown.

What is this reverse sexism BS?

Am I alone in thinking that we should be playing by the same rules?

Can you imagine if I said to a girl that I would give myself a handicap because I'm

a guy and therefore I'm better than her at mini-golf?

I mean seriously it's mini-golf!

I can't stress enough how much she was not kidding either.

She wasn't being playful or cute or anything: She just straight-up thought that she should

get to take back her shots and I shouldn't.

And not only that, she would get mad if I tried to take back a shot.

Mongoose is a complete hypocrite, and hypocrites are something I just cannot stand.

I let it go; we only had a few holes left.

The bragging not only continued, but escalated.

Other people at the mini-golf park were looking at her because she was making that much noise.

My only play was to awkwardly laugh it off when she got too excited about it.

On the hole in front of us was a couple who'd obviously been together for a while.

They were the picture of perfection.

I hated them.

No, you know what, that's unfair.

I hated Mongoose.

Hate is a strong word but in that moment I really did.

If I were a more assertive person back then I would have just walked out but I resigned

myself to finishing the game.

I knew there was only one way to bring back some shred of dignity and salvage the horrendous

outing this had turned out to be: I had to win.

I dug deep and played the best I could.

Her ball got stuck in one of the rocks that had a PVC pipe through it.

I laughed in my head.

I laughed so hard in my head that I laughed out loud.

She got angry, but I didn't care.

I got a hole-in-one on the same hole and it felt soooooo good when I turned to see Mongoose

stunned in disbelief.

But alas, it was too late.

I was trailing by two strokes on the final hole and was unable to beat her.

She rubbed it in, the couple in front of us who had just finished furrowed their brows

in confusion, and I stood there and just had to cop it on the chin.

I fumbled my way through the good-byes and lied, saying I'd message her.

In fairness, she didn't seem like she wanted to meet up again either.

I took the scorecard with me and kept it in my car as a reminder of a few things.

Firstly, be careful about pictures.

Check those angles and the filters.

Secondly, be more assertive.

If your date is awful, you don't need to humour them and stick it out just to be polite.

Lastly, don't do mini golf as a first date.

Anything competitive really is just bound to bring out the worst in people.

In recent times my view on that last rule has changed: I think mini-golf can work.

But the scar runs so deep for me that it's hard to forget.

Mongoose ruined mini-golf for me, a crime that I can never forgive.

Sure I'll still play, but as the breeze turns the tiny windmill I can still hear her

mocking laughter.

It was a small price to pay for a lesson well learnt: An hour of my life and $16 bucks.

Oh, did I mention I paid for her game?

I did.

That sneaky Mongoose cheated me out of my money.

Now I call her Mongoose Mountebank.

Thanks for listening to me blather on about my trials and tribulations.

I hope you enjoyed that story and trust me, there's plenty more to come if you all want

to hear them!

See you all next week.

4 Awesome Discoveries You Probably Didn't Hear About this Week – Episode 9 - Duration: 2:29.

Back again… with 4 awesome discoveries you probably didn't hear about this week.

Do no harm.

That's the goal of this new device… invented for scientists to safely catch and release

soft-bodied ocean creatures for study.

These critters are notoriously tough to grab with existing equipment.

The origami-inspired design has five 3D-printed polymer "petals" attached to a series

of rotating joints that form a scaffold.

It folds up into a twelve-sided, almost-round box, creating a hollow dodecahedron…

thus its name "Rotary Actuated Dodecahedron,"

but we prefer its nickname – RAD.

Hiding in plain sight.

Till now, the thin outer membrane that clings to E. coli's cell wall was just thought

to be like a layer of shrink wrap, to repel antibiotics.

Turns out it's actually a suit of armor, even stronger than the cell wall.

Researchers subjected groups of E. coli to stressful changes in pressure.

Those with intact outer membranes continued to throb with life.

Those with disrupted membranes quit and died, exploding and spitting out their cytoplasm.

About half of all bacterial species have outer membranes.

Drugs that destroy it could be a new approach to treating infection.

Engineers have designed a way to make electronic stickers that turn objects into high-tech sensors.

This new fabrication method is called "transfer printing."

In water, the thin-film electronic circuit peels easily from its silicon wafer,

so the wafer can be used over and over again.

The films can be trimmed to fit any object. From building blocks...

to blocks of buildings.

New technology to help connect up - and scale up - The Internet of Things.

All kinds of things.

Talk about growth opportunities!

Scientists have engineered bacteria that create fertilizer…

a delivery system for nitrogen…

out of thin air.

It works partly because the bacteria they used have a circadian rhythm just like humans.

They use photosynthesis to make their food during the day, then use nitrogen to create

chlorophyll for photosynthesis at night.

The research team is moving on to plants.

Imagine crops that fertilize themselves…and the revolutionary effect on agriculture

and the health of the planet.

And there you go.

See you next week with four more awesome discoveries with funding from NSF.

Planet Coaster | Society Park Part 46 | Water, Swing and gate - Duration: 19:55.

Hello fellow Planet Coaster Lovers and welcome back to another episode of Society Park

I'm sorry that I'm a day late but I had an exam this week which made it kind of hard for me to push an episode

out on time. Anyway here we are and in this episode we're finally finishing the Agricultural area!

We're starting off by 'theming' the chair swing ride which mostly consist of this river, some rocks and foilage

After that we'll place a small food cart where people can rest and/or dry up after a ride in Farmers Creek

Then a small lake and the gateway for the next area. I can imagine that you guys would like to see everything

from above so you can get an idea about how big this park is. You can find a picture on twitter, the forums

and on discord. Which brings me to the next topic. As some of you might know I also have a discord and

lately I've had a couple of people sending me messages to ask if I could give them a bit of advice.

I enjoyed this very much. Also as you guys know I don't have much time on my hands this summer so I won't

be able to do anything special. However I did, being contacted on dicord, gave me an idea.

The idea is the following: If you need any advice, have questions, some help or just want me to look at something?

Then don't hold back and feel free to contact me via YouTube, Twitter or Discord (all links in description).

I will respond as soon as possible. I must admit that Discord will work the fastest since I've got the app on my phone

So just in short, feel free to contact me. And for the remainder of this episode, enjoy. I'll see you guys

when we start in the next area!
