What are they patrolling, anyway?

Nobody else is using these highways.

Instead of throwing a grenade I hit the key for in-game voice chat :D

That skirmish was probably much longer than it needed to be.

It would be so easy to just use the Defiler on their asses.

But honestly that makes it too easy and not as fun.

I'm not sure what you need to hit to destroy their backpacks.

Probably their backpacks.

Eh, not bad.

:D

Trying to mix it up a little.

So dramatic.

好用嗎? April 22 玫瑰能量霜 Rose Energy Cream Review - Duration: 5:30.

Hello everyone

I'm Sylvia

Welcome back to my Youtube Channel

How's everyone going?

In this video, I want to show you a product

Taiwanese called it as "業配" (sponsorship/advertise)

Malaysian / Online seller called it as "代言" (endorsement)

Well, let see what we go here

There is no force you to buy it. No pressure, ok?

As long as you are interested to this product, then you can go ahead and buy it, Ok?

Good

So today I want to try this product

April 22 Rose Energy Cream

It has 40ML

It also has sunscreen SPF 30 ++

Rose energy cream

The packaging look like this

It come with a brush

It come with a brush

Blend evenly

Wait 5-10 minutes

Then the color of foundation will change to your original skin tone by automatically

Quite convenience

There is no need to remember what number of liquid foundation anymore

If bought wrong, you need to buy again

No annoying

It only has one color liquid foundation

No matter what's your skin color, you still can use this one

Not bad

There is 6 benefits of this product

1st, it has rose extract

EGF (epidermal cell factor) can be anti-aging, and repair skin

3rd, sodium hyaluronate

4th, it also has sodium lactate, can anti-acne

5th, it has trehalose, can be long-lasting moisture

6th, it also has the rose oil, can Whitening

These ingredients are good for skin

Even if you are sensitive skin

You skin will be more healthy

And make your skin turn better

That's all

Where is the product go

Here it is

Look at this packaging

It look like this

It look quite amazing

I never received a foundation

With a large box

After you open it

Here it is

It come with a small brush

It impressed me

This brush has a their company logo

I thought there is no logo

When I received it. Oh, it really has a logo

It look like this

This bottle is remind me of

Product of Estee Lauder

Or look like Lancome

It look luxury

Not bad

And I quite like it

Good

Because filming

I use this product yesterday

The first time when I apply this

I never thought of

I never use liquid foundation

With smell of roses in entire my life

So whenever you go

you still smell

Smell of roses

When you kiss your boyfriend

Or when your boyfriend kiss you

That moment

Is quite romantic

Last night I check my makeup

My makeup is quite long lasting

When I reach home

I look in the mirror

My face still maintain good

No smudge

No look oily

Which is good

When I reach home, I still can smell the roses

It quite amazing

I thought there is no smell anything

Like "There is no smell roses anymore"

I thought it would be like this

But I'm wrong

Smell of roses is still there

Let me mention what I dislike about this product

Is that

This bottle is quite huge

Which is "Whoa! There's a lot inside!"

"Nice!"

In fact, it is quite heavy

If you go travel

Put it in your bag

Or suitcase

Actually it quite heavy

Because it is glass jar

But what I like is...there a lot inside

Enough to use

For many months

And, the brush is quite annoying

If you know me

I like to apply foundation by fingertip

Even apply eye shadow. I also use fingertips too

Everyone has different minded

Everyone has different lifestyle

But when you think carefully

If you use fingertip, you need go to wash your hand, right?

Also quite annoying too

So now I think

Use brush is better

tab tab tab

Apply it on your face

And then put away the brush like this

You can immediately do the next step

Not bad, right?

then you complete the makeup very quickly

As I just said, this bottle is quite big

Compare to this one

Candy Doll Liquid Foundation

Look their size

Candy doll liquid foundation

is not that cheap

It so small, It so small, It so small

It not enough, it not enough

But when I receive this

Look. This one more bigger than this one

Ok

If you ask me, will I continue to use it?

yes, I will

Because Rose is my favorite flavor

Also, if you think inconvenient for travel

Try to get a small storage

Pour a little into it

Small storage cage

And then

You can bring it to travel now

Which is not bad

And then brush can bring it too

I already apply on my face

The makeup is quite long lasting

My face doesn't look greasy

By the way, why it called

April 22

Why don't April 13?

Haha

Because April 13 is date of my birthday

TOP 5 of the YouTubers in Swimming - Hello Dippers #52 - Duration: 5:36.

Hello Dippers !

Today a TOP 5 will be devoted to the "youtubers", I mean to "Videographers" of Swimming.

But beware, it will only concern French spoeaking channels firstly.

Another TOP 5 will be dedicated channels not speaking, still on the Swimming.

Who says Youtubeur said the person addressed "Face cam" with their audience, so the exit

chains of FFN, Speedo, swimming for all, Nabaiji or Arena, although they provide

quality content.

And youtubeurs Swimming, are necessarily chains essentially speaking of Swimming,

So exit Galaxy Liberty chain Yannick Agnel and his accomplice who is Liberty

tour of movie reviews.

- Anyway, there are only 3 videos on their channel, and they have not done it since

lease ... - And before all things, know that this TOP 5

not only became my opinion, my knowledge YouTube channels on the Swimming.

So if you think that a string was included and it does not appear, please do

not to put the link in this chain comment.

It would to me and to other to get to know one!

TOP 5 Swimming videographers!

- Hep! And I wanted to clarify one last thing: the ranking has little or no importance.

The interest in this Top 5 is cited before all those chains.

- Hey, but the other day there was a guy who made you zeal to be well placed in

this ranking - Well that's good, stop!

- ouaih and besides, he hath even made a ...

- Stop! Top 5!

5th position: - Learning Swimming

This is the chain of a guy who gives his all tips to learn to swim

and perfect.

A really nice string that I recommend.

In addition with his southern accent, it gives want to go for a swim in a

outdoor pool.

4th position: - News of a swimmer

- Ah bah it's good, it lacked a bit of YouTuber, do not you think?

Yes it is clear that YouTubers Swimming are quite rare.

But I wanted to choose this chain of young swimmer Mathilde I find quite

authentic, which speaks of his daily swimmer, all "face cam"!

Because without the "face cam", one could also talk of a chain called "swimmer (s)",

but it's a format "reality TV" the swimmers daily as a concept

"Face-cam" ... Same for two other channels that show swimmers wearing a mermaid tail ...

- Ch'suis in love! - Top 5 come on youtubeurs Swimming

French will surely not provided more female side;)

Otherwise, if you want a little scoop, there is a French champion lurking

under the name of Asa Mansannant.

Well this is obviously an anagram, but you understand who it is in

watching from this channel;) Oh, it does not lack humor this

Anna, in addition to having beaten the world record ... In the 50m breaststroke swimming in crawl!

In 3rd position: - Mowchat

This is the full range of ideas of a small group of Nantes swimmers.

Daily aspects of swimmers are told, but also Zap Sport or even unusual challenges!

- Wow! In full winter on the island in Nantes Gazebo, he had to curdle the ass!

What makes me kiffer is that he speaks in an episode of the Meeting Jean Claude Landron

Arras, the city where I grew up! All as a new channel ZibZaï elsewhere!

Yes in a pool where they put the green dye in the water to the finals!

- It is expected that they make the change after?

In 2nd position: - # DLP2

This is the chain of a former top swimmer Parisian level called Younes which we

exhibits quite unusual for content swimming.

- He rocks ! He swim Blaise Matuidi!

It could be the chain in the first position of this top 5 if only he only talked about swimming.

Because lately it has launched a challenge Tony Pepperoni YouTubeur beat boxing,

challenge he eventually won.

Quite a challenge, but some people like me regret he does not speak more

Swimming ... But it is a sacred chain anyway!

- Younes Hey! You gonna talk to us one day Swimming again? Because every time

I look at your chain, it attracts pretty girls at the pool!

In 1st position: - Swimming Easy

In short, animated Swim Easy chain Mehdi Bovo is a must on YouTube

in terms of coaching in general but especially and particularly in swimming, as it is

her coach and occupation of MNS.

- He seems to be better coach than you it seems!

- Hey! Do not forget that it was I who formed you ... At the same time, I will not be proud ...

This guy has everything a great coach.

He talks about various subject, a good knowledge Technical swims and physical exercises,

it also gives nutritionists advice, that is to say ! But besides that, he knows

draw his audience ... He kind of like the famous model Tibo InShape who like

his "Damned!" episode of launching, Mehdi is "I hope you have the form"

- And you say "Hi Bathers" to the beginning of each episode too!

- Yes, but that's normal, it's the name of my issue, I can not miss.

That's it for this TOP 5! I hope he you rained and it allowed you to know

chains on swimming than you know not.

Feel free to leave a blue thumb to share on social networks and let

nothing a euro donation to the chain on Tipeee!

As for me, I let you! I'll walk the bather HP before he even the idea

chourrer of my camera for an episode as he pleases !

What is OER or Open Educational Resources? - Duration: 3:18.

Hi there.

I am John Bond from Riverwinds Consulting and this is Publishing Defined.

Today I am going to talk about OER or Open Educational Resources.

OER is an umbrella term for freely accessible, openly licensed text, media, and other digital

assets that are useful for teaching, learning, and assessing as well as for research purposes.

The movement is an outgrowth of the open access, open science, and open education movements.

The term OER got started in the late 90's or early 00's and is usually credited to

David Wiley, MIT the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, who all played separate roles

in launching the valued movement.

OER material is usually digital, and carries a broad level of openness with ready access

with no restrictions on reuse, usually using a Creative Commons license.

In fact, many times the material can be personalized to an institution or school.

The material comes in the form of student textbooks or workbooks, faculty resources,

supplemental content, videos, worksheets, software, and other materials.

The digital and open nature of the material means easier revising when errors are found

or the content becomes outdated content, with reduced time for these revisions.

The obvious benefit is very low or no costs to the student or the school/institution.

The initial focus of the OER movement was on K to 12 education, but it quickly expanded

to higher education including highly academic fields.

Higher education is a natural place for OER to blossom and succeed as course materials

continue to rise in price.

OER faces a few challenges.

First there is no universal open file format for OER materials.

Second, the perception still exists that free means lower quality or unreliable quality.

Expanding acceptance of open access journal articles may be helping to change that.

Also, efforts such as Center for Open Education at the University of Minnesota to have faculty

around the country review and rate the material will help ensure quality and reliability with

this content.

There is a lot going on in this area.

An organization such as OER Commons (at oercommons.org) is leading the way.

They "offer a comprehensive infrastructure for curriculum experts and instructors at

all levels to identify high-quality OER and collaborate around their adaptation, evaluation,

and use to address the needs of teachers and learners."

Major institutions such as MIT, Google, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, many

of the other major foundations, and many state and national governments are investing heavily

in developing and promoting OER.

I look forward to reporting back on OER's headway into higher education, particularly

STEM education, very, very soon.

Well that's it.

I've released a new eBook called, "The Request for Proposal in Publishing: Managing

the RFP Process."

It is a short, focused guide to this essential business task that associations or societies

use to find potential publishing partners.

How I Make My Videos (Behind the Scenes at Steve Poland Cichlids) - Duration: 3:57.

You guys have all seen my 220 gallon display tank many times,

but what you probably don't know is that right next to that tank is where most of the activity

for this channel actually happens. So this week I'm going to give a quick look

behind the scenes and show what I use to make my videos.

I realize most of you don't make YouTube videos so this isn't necessarily a tutorial.

There are plenty of channels out there dedicated to that.

But I always think it's interesting to see how things are made so hopefully you'll enjoy

this quick look into some of the hardware and software that I use

and how I use it. I'll link to everything that I mention down

in the video description. The cool thing about YouTube is that no matter

how many videos you've made or how many subscribers you have,

all videos start in the same place: a blank space.

I've found that my videos turn out way better when I start with at least some semblance

of a plan. So as with most things in my life, I keep

lists. Most important is the running list of possible

video topics that I keep in my phone. Whenever a random idea for a video pops into

my head, I'll add it to this list. But even after I pick an idea,

It takes a decent amount of work to turn it into a finished video.

I generally have two main paths that I'll go down with any idea,

and I use slightly different equipment for each.

One is just off the cuff. I'll hit record and just start talking.

My current setup for this usually has just two parts:

A camera and microphone. I recently upgraded my camera to this, a Panasonic

G7. It's a lightweight, affordable micro Four

Thirds camera that shoots in 4k. Before that I just used my iPhone.

I actually still use my phone on some occasions, like if I want to shoot multiple camera angles,

or if I need to show me using my G7. For audio I use an external microphone, the

Rode VideoMic Pro. It's a small, directional shotgun mic that

produces great, clean sound. It fits right here in the hotshoe mount on

top of the G7. Sometimes, if I'm in a situation where I need

additional light, I use a battery powered LED Panel like this.

To use it on the G7 along with the mic I have this triple hot shoe bracket.

It allows me to attach both of them at the same time.

My second approach to making videos is easier in some ways and harder in others.

I'll start by writing out a script with everything that I want to say.

This takes extra time but helps ensure that I don't forget anything and that my message

is clear. The next step then depends on whether I'm

appearing in the video or not. If I'm in it, I'll just print out the script

and read it into the camera. Kind of like Im doing right now.

I tend to want a stable shot for this so I use a tripod.

I just have a very inexpensive Amazon Basics tripod.

It's super lightweight and expandable and comes with a bag.

Sometimes if the situation calls for it Ill use these big lights with umbrella diffusers

But I dont need them very often these days. I used to use them more back when I filmed

myself in front of this black background. But Ive been trying to film myself in front

of a tank whenever possible. I still use the black background though when

I want to show things in a nice, simple shot. I just set up this white folding table and

it does a decent job. If I'm not in the video, I'll just go around

with my camera and get all of the shots. Then I'll record the voiceover audio later

while sitting at my computer. Once all of my video and audio has been recorded,

its time to start editing. My office setup is pretty simple.

I love Apple but I use PCs because I like to build them myself.

I use a 40-inch TV for my monitor just because we had an extra.

As for software, I edit with Adobe Premiere but there are a lot of different programs

that do this. Its just a matter of personal preference.

Its a time consuming process but it does get faster the more times you do it.

This is an example of how a video looks once Im done.

Again, this isnt really a how to video so if you want to learn how to edit with Premiere

there are a ton of resources out there. The only other pieces of software I use are

Audacity to record the voiceovers and Photoshop to create my thumbnails.

And thats it really. Thatshow I make what you see every week.

But I just want to say one last thing. If youve ever thought about making YouTube

videos, Whether it's about your tank or about anything

else for that matter, Just do it. No matter what equipment or tools

you have. I hope you enjoyed this look behind the scenes.

Let me know what you think down in the comments. And until next time, have a good one.

Peru I love you! - Duration: 7:53.

It's 18h30, we spent 5h30 at the boarder to get from Ecuador to Peru.

We arrive on the great plains, that we shall have for 1300km.

And the weather is really good.

WE just got to Tumbes, the first city in Peru,

And there is a herd of cow in the city, crossing the road.

No problem.

Mounting to take a picture.

Wy try to keep everything in balance

Mathieu got burned with the nettles taking the picture.

They are emptying their houses because of the inondations.

The trees are half in the water,

It's not really funny to watch...

Romi try to beat the world record of flat tires,

And he is not very far from winning!

He is mad!

I'm at 600km from Lima,

Since Mathieu left I think I did 200,

I stopped in a desert, and put the tent on the top of a sand dune.

That's it, it's the morning,

Today I should get to Trujillo.

Let's see how it is outside.

I'm nicolas,

I'm a friend of high school of Mathieu and Romaric.

I just got today to Cusco after 27h of flight, and I'm going to stick with them for two weeks.

We are at the Salinas de Maras,

It's 3000 pools of 5m square each, with a 10cm depth. They put water once a week.

And pick up the salt once a month. And it's amazing.

We begin the hike for the Macchu Pichu,

We walk 11km, to get the city checkpoint,

And tomorrow we begin the climbing.

Nico is afraid!!

Is that the train?

Stop it dude, I don't like it, I don't like it.

Stop it, I don't like it, I don't like it… Careful!!

It's been 45 minutes that we are walking, we have half an hour left to get to the Macchu Pichu,

The air is getting colder, even if it's still warm,

There is little air

I have trouble breathing.

We finally got to the Macchu Pichu,

We left 231 days ago, and did 6324km on the bike.

For those who didn't know, in the mountain in front we can see an inca shape.

We can see the nose there, and the chin over there.

We camped for the second day at the bottom of the Macchu Pichu,

It's really amazing, we are surrounded by the mountains

We could see the Macchu Pichu if there weren't clouds there.

But it's not possible now.

We are almost on the top of the rainbow mountain which is on the front,

We are going to be at 5200 meters of altitude,

We can really feel the lack of air right now.

Right Nico? Everything is fine?

We are on the lake Titicaca, these are floating islands,

We are at 3800 meters of altitude, and it's the highest navigable lake of the world.

We got to Peru a month and a half ago,

We went through the inundation which were really strong in the north of Peru (phenomenon del niño)

And now it's over. We leave Peru, and enter in Bolivia.

And it's quite cold.

A Call For SEPARATION - Duration: 3:45.

Jesus Christ calls us to separation, a life of holiness. We are I separate

people, a holy people, called unto Him for His purpose. The Apostle Paul writes

in 2nd Corinthians 6:14 "Do not be bound together with unbelievers;

for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what Fellowship has

light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what as a believer

in common with an unbeliever" Or what agreement has the temple of God with

idols? For we are the Temple of the Living God; just as God, I will dwell

in them and walk among them and I will be their God and they shall be My people.

Therefore come out from their midst and be separate says the Lord, and do not

touch what is unclean, and I will welcome you. And I will be a father to you and

you shall be sons and daughters to Me says the Lord Almighty." Jesus is calling

us to dedicate our lives to Him, to separate ourselves unto Him, to walk with

Him; not to socialize with the world, not to be conformed to the world. The Apostle

James wrote in James 4:4 "You adulteresses, do you not know that

friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to

be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the

scripture speaks to no purpose, He jealously desires the Spirit which He

has made to dwell in us." Jesus does not call us to fellowship with other

believers. He calls us into fellowship with Himself;

to walk with Him. We must become like Jesus, not like other believers. We have

to separate ourselves unto Him. We must not be like the world or go after the

things of the world, we have to separate ourselves unto Jesus so that we can be

pleasing to Him. We can only walk with Jesus if we separate ourselves unto Him.

If we socialize and fellowship with worldly Christians then our fellowship

is not with Jesus but with people. We have to separate ourselves unto Jesus,

listen to Him, be tuned in to Him and He will speak to us, He will guide us and He

will teach us. We are called to be Saints, who follow our Lord and Master Jesus

Christ. May Jesus bless you. Jesus Christ is alive and hell is real.

I am here to introduce you to Jesus Christ so that you can know Him and

follow Him and have eternal life. Subscribe to my channel to learn more

about Jesus. May Jesus bless you.

Southern Thai Food - The ULTIMATE Thailand Culinary Guide & Attractions in Nakhon Si Thammarat! - Duration: 23:36.

- [Narrator] Anybody who visits southern Thailand,

all Thais that come to southern Thailand,

and to Nakhon Si Thammarat,

they would never leave without

having a meal of kanom jeen.

(mid tempo music)

Hey everyone it's Mark Wiens, I'm in (foreign language)

Nakhon Si Thammarat in souther Thailand

and this is a city that is not all that well known,

it's not a big tourist destination,

but I think it's an amazing city that you can visit.

So today I'm gonna take you on a full tour of

of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

We're gonna eat some amazingly delicious food

and visit some of the famous sites

and I can't wait to share everything with you today

in this video.

We are starting off this morning at a place,

it's just called Ko Pi and that just means coffee,

but this is the local coffee shop.

This place is legendary.

They date back to 1942 and I love how this place

has preserved its heritage.

We ordered a couple of different things,

Ying was asking what their specialties are,

but what most people, I think, come here to eat

is the bak kut teh.

Bak kut the, it literally translates to pork bone tea,

but there's actually usually,

I don't think there's ever in any tea in the recipe,

but it's mostly like a Chinese herbal broth

with pork bones and this one though,

includes a lot of extra ingredients.

There are some needle mushrooms in there.

There's some type of a green vegetable.

There's some other mushrooms and some goji berries,

some dried goji berries.

Oh, oh, that almost smells like apple cider.

It has a

holiday spice aroma to it.

Oh, that is delicious.

And I got one of those little sour goji berries in it too.

A piece of the pork bone, that looks wonderful.

Look at that beauty.

That's flaming hot too!

That just falls off the bone.

Just a clean steaming bone.

Oh that's melt in your mouth tender.

That is ridiculously tender.

The meat has just absorbed that herbal broth.

I just ordered a black coffee

but they're making it the traditional, the old school way,

and I watched him as a was making a (foreign language).

Normally they put condensed milk in it

but I'm not a huge fan of condensed milk

so I ordered it with no condensed milk.

But it's pretty cool to watch him making it

as he dumps in the coffee and then scoops out the

condensed milk from the can very expertly.

Yeah.

That is strong and black and it has a very

dark dark roast chocolately flavor to it.

So it's actually, I really like light roast coffees,

but I can appreciate this dark roast very choclately coffee

and also just the heritage, the traditional aspect of it

is what makes it good.

And then finally we got some khao man gaeng neau.

So it's rice, with some type of a beef curry

and an egg on the top.

Oh that's good.

That has a wonderful, almost like masala curry flavor to it.

You can taste a mixture of dry spices in there.

This is really good.

That was delicious.

That was a wonderful breakfast to get started

in Nakhon Si Thammarat, but what I love about this place

is that it attracts,

there are a lot of Bangkok Thais that come here

and this is a must eat stop in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

But I'm also seeing a lot of locals eating here

and just drinking coffee and hanging out.

There's some policemen, there's some students.

You really feel the heritage and the mix of Thai

and Chinese culture at a coffee shop like this.

(mid tempo music)

We made it to Wat Phra Mahathat and this is

one of the main Buddhist temples within Nakhon Si Thammarat

and this temple was built in the 13th century

by the King and what's interesting about this temple

is if you can see the main cheti,

the main stuppa in back of me.

It was built with Shrilankan style and influence

but walking around now, there's a cheti,

there's the main temple and then there's all these smaller

stupas as well.

(mid tempo music)

This is the very center of Nakhon Si Thammarat

and I love, this city is great.

It's a decently sized city.

I mean, not too big, but it has a small city charm to it.

Especially the center and you can walk around.

It has a real mix of different cultures.

This is a great little city.

From here we're gonna go eat some khanom jeen,

which are rice noodles with curry and it's another thing

that you...

It's a must eat when you come to Nakhon Si Thammarat.

There are a lot of khanom jeen restaurants

in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

This place is called Khanom Jeen Mae Aed

and it is just one street over from the temple.

It's about 500 meters away so you could easily walk here.

(foreign language)

They make all of the kanom jeen, the rice noodles,

fresh every day and he has this hydraulic machine.

She's gonna show me real fast.

Oh very cool.

(sizzling)

That is a gigantic wok of boiling water

and he said that it just needs to boil for one minute

and they are cooked.

Then he fished all the noodles out with a basket

and then I think he's running them through some cold water

behind there.

But that even just increases the anticipation

for the noodles that we're about to eat here.

The entire table is just full of colors

and different ingredients.

You've got all the different curries,

this is the basket of the fresh rice noodles.

You eat the noodles with the curry but khanom jeen

would not be the same without fresh vegetables.

This is just a gorgeous platter of fresh vegetables.

There are so many different herbs and leaves.

I see weened bean, I see climbing waddle,

I see cashews nut tree leaves, I see cucumbers

and then there's also some pickles, some bean sprouts.

Khanom jeen is all about this whole experience.

I love how they pack this rice noodle.

They put it in a basket with some leaves

and then give you a pair of scissors within it.

I love how these are just like office scissors as well.

And then on the (foreign language)?

Alright, that should be good.

You don't want to chop them up too much.

But that does, you can see they have a very sticky,

sticky consistency and if you touch them with your fingers,

they immediately stick to your fingers

because they're so sticky.

Okay, and that should be good to start.

You can kind of break them apart a little bit.

When you eat khanom jeen, there is a trio of curries,

in the south, that is the most popular trio.

And starting from this side, this is nam ya kati,

which is a minced fish curry with coconut milk.

And this one is nam prik,

which is more of a sweet peanutty curry,

and then the final curry in the trio of curries

this is called nam ya ba.

I gotta start with the nam ya kati,

which is coconut milk and minced fish.

This is one of the absolute classics.

Oh yes!

And before doing anything else I will take a bite of that.

Oh wonderful.

Oh yeah, that is just pure, rich, thick coconut cream.

You can taste the turmeric and the chilies in there.

I'm tasting some lemon grass in there as well.

And then the fish is very pureed minced down there.

But it's also thick, not only from the coconut milk

but from the pureed fish.

These are cashew tree leaves

and I have definitely had these before.

But they, let's just say--

Let me show you.

(crunching)

Yup, really really chalky and really really sour.

They're awesome.

That just completely palate cleanses your mouth.

Next up let me try that nam prik.

I knew it before I tasted it,

but this is always a sweet curry.

It is very coconutty and very peanutty.

This one is typically not my favorite

but it is actually quite good.

Let me go in for the third curry now,

which is called nam ya ba.

Um that is a nice strong fishy taste.

But it tastes like roasted or dried fish in there.

A little bit of a kick to it.

There are definitely some chilies in there

and you can taste some herbs as well.

And then another protein addition is a hard boiled egg.

Oh, let's run, that's the way I like it.

Alright, and just mix all of that with the pickles as well.

You gotta slice up those noodles.

Perfect.

Oh that yolk is so creamy.

Another thing they specialize in here

is the (foreign language),

which is a southern Thai style fried fritter.

You can see the shrimp.

There's a shrimp head in this bite

and bai laeb krut, which is a vegetable,

which is in English is called ming aralia.

I believe that's the name

and then they fry it into fritters.

Wow!

What's really good about their version is that

it's not batter heavy.

Sometimes when you eat this it's way too much batter

and it's a batter fritter.

This is like almost all leaves

and then the batter just acts to hold it together.

But the leaves have this wonderful,

kind of peppery herb taste to them.

And then another dish they specialize here is moo tod,

which is fried pork.

So may as well taste one of these guys while I'm at it.

And I think this would be good mixed with khanom jeen

and curry.

Oh yeah.

That does have a nice texture

and it's very very crispy on the edges.

I'm gonna taste the final curry that we got here,

which is gaeng keow wan, which is green curry.

You can tell that this is a souther Thai style green curry

because of that yellow brown color.

So they probably add turmeric to the green curry.

Um, that's delicious.

You can really taste the flavor of that green curry paste.

The green chilies in there, the kafir lime peel,

which gives it a citrusy taste,

and then I'm pretty sure they have some turmeric in there.

It's really good, actually, everything is good.

Ying and I are working through this meal,

but one of the best things to do is take some of these

shrimp fritters, put it under your noodles,

and then you eat that entire fritter with some noodles

just soaking in the coconut milk curry.

This is an amazing bite.

Oh yeah.

Let's quickly do some vegetable eating.

Long beans, a piece of jankle,

a ween bean,

cashew nut tree leaves.

What are this Ying?

(foreign language)

I don't know the English name

but in Thai it's called (foreign language).

Basil.

This thing

and a cucumber.

Okay, my mouth is full now.

That was really a properly good meal.

And what I like is that it's a lot of food

and there's so much variety but it doesn't leave you

feeling heavy or too...

It doesn't leave you feeling greasy or oily or heavy

because you've got so much vegetables.

Even the rice noodles are quite light and fluffy.

And then the curries just provide immense flavor.

What a meal.

I'm so happy and satisfied right now.

Next up we are driving over to a place called

Bann Tankhun and this is a preserved old home

heritage building.

(mid tempo instrumental music)

And this is an old, old mansion, wooden mansion

that's very really well preserved and still full of

original antiques.

It's over 100 years old, this house,

and it's...

What's cool is it's just open as an open house.

You can come in here, you've got to take off your shoes,

to preserve the wooden floors

but it's just an open house

and you can come in here and just kind of browse around

and it's a real heritage site.

I just did the math of when this place was built.

It was built 105 years ago

so that makes it that it was built in 1912.

It was built in 1912.

(mid tempo music)

Nakhon Si Thammarat, just like other southern Thai cities,

is very diverse and it has a real mix of cultures.

There is the local Thai and also Malay

in the south of Thailand,

but there's also a Chinese influence,

there is even a Shrilankan influence that we saw

from that temple,

and that's all reflected in the food and the culture

in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

(mid tempo music)

We just arrived to this place

and it was a little bit tricky to find.

It's on a street called (foreign language).

It looks like an amazing beach house.

They have a museum here in the back.

I think it's all just family run.

So we're just gonna take a look at the museum real fast

for the shadow puppets.

(mid tempo music)

They have a museum upstairs with some old shadow puppets

and they're all made from leather.

And these are 50 to 100 years old.

Pretty cool.

She's just giving us a really quick demonstration

about how they make the shadow puppets made from

(foreign language), which is cow skin.

(tapping)

(foreign language)

These are the actual puppets and a set as well,

a shadow puppet set.

Tonight, we're gonna go to hopefully,

a restaurant where they're gonna have this showing.

So I thought it would be cool to see the museum,

learn about these shadow puppets,

see them making the puppets,

and then tonight, while we're eating food,

hopefully we're gonna see a traditional shadow puppet show

southern Thai style.

We are taking an evening walk and on our way to a restaurant

for dinner tonight, that's called Krua Nai Nang.

This is a restaurant that serves southern Thai food

and one of the highlights of eating there

is their shadow puppet show.

(mid tempo music)

(laughs)

(foreign language)

That's hilarious!

He's speaking to us over the megaphone

and telling us some of the signature dishes.

This is a great place.

It almost has a cowboy western feel to it

but they have all southern Thai food on their menu

including some interesting specialties

at this restaurant

and I'm guessing that he is the owner.

He calls out on the megaphone and he calls you out.

I was filming the front sign and he said

you better take a photo of me as well.

We managed to order quite a beautiful spread

of southern Thai food.

What I got to go in for is the gaeng som,

which is southern Thai sour curry

and this particular version is gaeng som pla kod.

It's kinda like a catfish type of fish.

Is it fresh water fish?

There's some type of fruit in here too.

Let me just first taste the broth of that.

Oh those little fruits, oh yeah!

I've had that fruit before.

They just like burst with vinegar tasting sourness.

Oh, that's marvelous.

Really sour and really spicy.

Next up this is bai liang pad kai

and bai liang pad kai is malingal leaves,

which is one of the ultimate vegetables of

southern Thailand.

It's very very common.

It's garlicky.

You've got the smokey taste and then again,

those leaves, I probably explained them many times,

but they almost have a nutty taste

and what's also really good about them is their texture,

which is...

It's not really chewy but at the same time it doesn't have

that slimy spinach texture.

They're firm.

Next up I'm gonna go for this other dish,

which is kai mode daeng dom kati pak liang

and it is red ant eggs, which are boiled with coconut milk

and it's an amazing source of protein.

But you can see the ants and then the little white morsels

are the ant eggs.

It's amazing.

That is just focused on the pure coconut milk.

The ants are absolutely brilliant.

The eggs are kinda rich and yolky

and then the ants themselves have a very sour crunchiness

to them.

Any chance that you have to try kai mode daeng

or red ant eggs or red ants in Thailand, you should take it.

It's a real delicacy and it's

a very sustainable food as well.

Next dish over here is goong pad sataw

and this is stink beans stir fried.

The dish is actually called (foreign language)

which is a chile stir fried dish.

Huge meaty prawns.

Get that stink beans on there as well.

Oh yeah.

Oh that's the dish right there.

Oh I love it so much.

That is outstanding.

That curry paste has so much flavor in it.

It's spicy, you can taste all of the herbs in there.

You can taste the stink beans.

You can also taste the sweet basil in there very nicely.

The peppercorns, the chilies, and then there's also

some coconut milk in there, I believe, to make it

like more rich and thick.

Amazing, amazing.

This is the dish I love.

Yeah, I personally love--

This is one of my favorite dishes to eat in all of Thailand,

goong pad sataw and this is a great great plate of it.

Micah wanted to join in so I'm joined with Micah now.

And the last dish that we ordered is pla sai tod kamin,

and I believe in English it's a sand fish

and it's just deep fried.

Oh that is triplets right there.

Okay, I'll save that for later.

But this is deep fried with garlic and turmeric.

I'm gonna dip it in the sauce.

That's like a fish french fry.

Oh and there's some black pepper in there as well.

It's garlicky, there's turmeric in there,

and that's just a crispy bit sized fish.

So we're just gonna sit here and enjoy the rest of this food

and wait for the show, which should happen pretty soon.

Ying says we're lucky to find this

and I don't think I've ever had it.

So, I'm gonna save it for later though.

She was just walking through the restaurant and sold it.

Gonna save it for later and I will tell you what it is.

Food was great and it started to down pour somewhere

in the middle of the meal and it's been raining ever since.

But finally, the show is about to start.

(Asian music)

(foreign language)

We saw a little bit of the show but then we ended up

having to come back to the hotel pretty quickly

with the baby and with the hard rain.

But, before, oh yeah, here it is.

Before I end this video I wanted to show you

this, which a lady came around selling

and it's called (foreign language)

and it's mangosteen but very young mangosteen

and Ying says that it's really rare.

So she immediately wanted to buy it when she saw it.

They take out the big outer husk or the big outer shell

and then put it onto skewers.

So this is kinda cool.

I've never seen this in Bangkok before.

(crunching)

(groans)

Oh.

Oh that's awesome.

That's like seedless mangosteen

and because it's not fully developed, not ripe,

it has more of a crisp texture to it than a

juicy mangosteen that I'm used to.

Oh that's the perfect dessert.

Been a really really good day

doing some sight seeing around Nakhon Si Thammarat

and eating some delicious food.

This is a city that doesn't get a lot of tourism

and some Thais visit,

but not a lot of foreigners come to Nakhon Si Thammarat

but at the same time, it's quite a nice little city

and I hope this video has shown you some of the top things

to do and just a few places to eat as well.

That's gonna be it for this video.

I want to say a big thank you for watching.

Margie Young Made MDOT MTA History - Duration: 2:02.

(upbeat electronic music)

- From 1970 up to 2017, it's always been a male

is the number one pick.

So today is historic because I'm the first female

in the history of the MTA to pick a schedule.

And it just happens to coincide with the Baltimore Link,

which we had quite a few lines and quite a few new lines

that's completely different from when I started in 1979.

If every line that runs from out of Kirk division

is behind me, what's on there today, that's completely

different from any other time in the history of the MTA

is because the whole system has totally been reconstructed.

And seniority is important because you can go and look over

the entire system, all the schedules, and you can pick

the one that you want according to your seniority.

(upbeat music)

I picked on the 44 line,

which is the new 30 line, and I picked on the 93 line

which the old line was the 9, and the reason why I selected

that is because those lines, they didn't have too many

major changes was on them, and I'm old school.

In 1979 I started, and I was out on Retreat Street.

And when Retreat Street closed up, I came over to Kirk

in 1981.

I love working for the MTA because I'm a people person,

and I take public service like very,

it's very, very important.

And in this day and time, we've got quite a few people

that's catching the buses that depend on us to get to work.

So it's important that we run on time and just look out

for the passengers.
