</form> Southern Rail have warned passengers for London Victoria not to travel this morning after a total signal power failure
They tweeted: "Passengers are advised not to travel into London this morning due to total loss of signalling power that Network Rail has experienced on 3 separate supplies in Streatham area
"No services to Victoria and limited/busy services elsewhere." When asked what passengers should do, the troubled rail service replied: "Use alternative routes if/where possible
Some routes are diverted via Crystal Palace. Also some Thameslink routes to London Bridge will be running
" Network Rail added that disruption will continue until end of service today. Network Rail said Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express services are all badly disrupted with cancellations and delays of up to 60 minutes until the end of the day
The incident has also affected services between Luton and Wimbledon which have been have been suspended until further notice
There is currently no service between East Croydon and London Victoria and a very limited service running on the Brighton mainline to London Bridge
Passengers were left furious at the cancellations and took to Twitter to vent their fury at the maligned railway
Rosie said: "How do you expect people to get to work?? The service you provide is not fit for purpose
Every. Single. Day. People are loosing their jobs because they can't get into work on time

" Gayle ranted: "Nice comment from Southern to use alt route but If there was a viable alternative NONE of us would EVER use this disgraceful service EVER EVER AGAIN
" On their website, Southern said: "Work is underway to arrange additional rail replacement buses at key locations to help assist with your journey, and information about these buses will be provided shortly
" They added that the major signalling fault started at 10.20pm on Wednesday nights
"The signalling fault is affecting one of Govia Thameslink Railways busiest mainlines and we are actively working with Network Rail to resolve the fault as quickly as possible
"Network Rail engineers have been working throughout the night to rectify the signalling issue however this has been unsuccessful so far
Engineers will continue to work throughout the day with all available resources to resolve the fault
"The root cause of the fault has been traced back to a power supply feed, linked to the signalling equipment which has failed
A generator has been sourced to isolate the power feed and is expected to arrive at the signalling centre later this morning
Once the generator arrives, the situation will be re-assessed."
