How to Pronounce /m/ as in me - American Accent - Duration: 22:53.

Hi.

I'm Denise.

Thank you for watching my video.

Today I'm going to talk about the sound /m/.

I will talk about how to make this sound.

I will give you some words to practice with this sound, and I will give you words with

the sound at the beginning of the word, in the middle of the word, and the end of the word.

I will also give you several similar words to compare and practice with me.

And I will give you a short quiz.

And then finally, I will give you a few sentences to practice with me.

So let's start by talking about how to make this sound.

The /m/ sound is made by closing the two lips, by putting them together firmly but gently.

The lips are not really tight.

They are relaxed.

But they are closed and that stops the air from coming out of the mouth, so instead,

the air comes through the nose.

And this sound is called a nasal sound and the reason is because the air comes through

the nose, because we are using our nose to make this sound, /m/.

If you put your finger just below your nose, you should be able to feel the air coming

out.

So try that, please.

/m/ /m/ Did you feel a little bit of air?

I hope so.

This sound is a voiced sound.

That means that our vocal cords vibrate when we make the sound, and also, you will probably

be able to feel a little bit of vibration in your lips, /m/.

So, let's try using this sound in several words.

We will next go on to practice words.

The sound /m/ is made with the letter m.

So here are many words to practice with me containing the letter m and containing the

sound /m/.

The words in the first column have /m/ at the beginning of the word.

The words in the second column have /m/ in the middle of the word, and the words in the

last column have /m/ at the end of the word.

Please practice these with me.

Please repeat.

Make, many, maybe, method, minute, money, more, most, much, music.

This column, empty, image, improve, lemon, normal, number, remove, simple, jump, lamp.

And in this column.

Some people have trouble completing the sound /m/ at the end of the word, so if you're

one of those people, please pay extra attention to this column of words and please practice

them with me.

It's important to complete that /m/ sound at the end of the word.

Here we go.

From, him, room, storm, system, home, some, time, climb, comb.

Please notice that in these three words, the letter e at the end of the word is not pronounced.

So that's why I was able to put these in this column because the last sound is the

/m/ sound.

Some, time, and home.

And in these two words, the letter b is not pronounced, so the last sound in these words

is, of course, /m/.

Climb, comb.

Let me say a few short phrases or sentences for you, and please try to repeat these after me.

I will use some of the words in the chart here.

We need to make more money.

We need to make more money.

Our method is much better than before.

Our method is much better than before.

Let's listen to music for several minutes.

Let's listen to music for several minutes.

We can improve the tea with more lemon.

We can improve the tea with more lemon.

He improved his image.

He improved his image.

Let's remove one number from the list.

Let's remove one number from the list.

The boy jumped over the lamp.

The boy jumped over the lamp.

Some of these sentences are a little silly, but it's good practice, right?

There's a strong storm system moving across the country.

There's a strong storm system moving across the country.

So in that sentence, I used storm, system, and moving.

They all have the /m/ sound.

I brought it from home.

I brought it from home.

So we have from and home.

I'll see you sometime later.

I'll see you sometime later.

And….

The men climbed up the mountain.

The men climbed up the mountain.

Alright, just a little bit of practice there.

But these are several /m/ words for you to practice on your own if you'd like, and

we will go on to compare some words.

Now it's time to compare several words and practice saying them with me.

As I said in the previous section, some people have trouble completing the /m/ sound at the

end of words, so in this exercise, what I'd like to do is practice words that do end in

the /m/ sound in this column with words that do not end with the /m/ sound in this column.

So, the beginning sounds of each word are the same.

All the words in this column end in a vowel sound, and all of the words in this column

have the same beginning sound and vowel sound, but in addition they end with the /m/.

So these are words without /m/.

These are words with /m/.

And other than the /m/ sound, they are identical.

So please listen very carefully to each of the words, and please practice saying them

with me.

Please repeat these words after me.

Without and with /m/.

Bee, beam, bee, beam.

Another thing you might notice is that the vowel sound in these words is a little bit

longer than the vowel sound in these words.

That's because the vowels are followed by the /m/.

That makes them a little bit longer.

Let's continue.

Tea, team, tea, team.

Low, loam, low, loam.

Tie, time.

Sorry.

Tie, time.

See, seem, see, seem.

Be sure to get that /m/ at the end of the second word.

Zoo, zoom, zoo, zoom.

Doe, dome, doe, dome.

Row, roam, row, roam.

Dye, dime, dye, dime.

Let's go on and compare some more words.

This time I'd like to compare words with the /m/ sound with words with the /n/ sound.

The sound /n/ is also a nasal sound just like /m/.

That means that we use our nose when we produce this sound.

In particular, we let the air come through our nose just as we do with the /m/ sound.

The difference between these sounds is in the shape of the mouth, the position of the

mouth.

For /m/, I said earlier that we have to close our lips, /m/, and then we push air out through

our nose.

For the /n/ sound, we leave our lips open and we put our tongue on the ridge behind

our upper teeth and we firmly press on that ridge.

At the same time we're doing that, we let the air come out through our nose.

So that part, the air coming through the nose, is the same as with /m/, but the mouth position

is different.

This is /n/ /n/.

So, some people confuse these two sounds because they are both nasal sounds.

They both push air through the nose, but as I said and as I hope that you saw, my mouth

position is very different.

Please try this with me, /m/ /n/, /m/ /n/, alright?

Because some people confuse these sounds, I'd like to practice words containing these

sounds, alright?

If you want more information, though, on this sound /n/, please see my other video about

that sound.

For now, I just want to compare some words, alright?

In these two columns, I have words beginning with either /m/ or /n/.

In these two columns, I have words with /m/ or /n/ in the middle of the word.

And in these two columns, I have /m/ or /n/ at the end of the word. Alright?

So please practice these with me.

I do want to mention one thing about this word.

We do not pronounce the letter k, so the first sound in this word is /n/.

And then, also, here I actually have two words, but when I say them together, they sound the

same as this other than the /m/ or /n/.

And I believe those are my only comments for now.

Please practice saying these words with me, and please try to distinguish between /m/

with the mouth closed and /n/ with the mouth open and the tongue pushing on the ridge behind

your upper teeth.

In both cases, air will come out through the nose.

Map, nap, map, nap.

Meal, kneel, meal, kneel.

Mice, nice, mice, nice.

Are you watching my lips?

I hope you're doing the same.

Moon, noon, moon, noon.

More, nor, more, nor.

Let's do the next two columns.

A mother, another, a mother, another.

Coming, cunning, coming, cunning.

Smear, sneer, smear, sneer.

When we have this sound in the middle of the word, we usually make it a little bit more

quickly or I do anyway than when it's maybe at the beginning or at the end of the word.

So it may be a little bit more difficult to hear the difference or feel the difference

just because it's a little bit quicker, but it's there, so let's try again.

Coming.

So I did the /m/ kind of quickly.

Coming, cunning, coming, cunning, a mother, another, a mother, another.

And in these two words, there's no vowel sound between /s/ and /m/ or between /s/ and /n/.

We just move from the /s/ to the next sound.

Let's do the last two columns.

Beam, bean, beam, bean.

Team, teen, team, teen.

Loam, lone, loam, lone.

Time, tine, time, tine.

Dime, dine, dime, dine.

Are you ready for a quiz?

It's time for a short quiz.

This is the first part of the quiz.

In each of these sentences I have a pair of words and the first word in the pair does

not have the /m/ sound, so I have represented that with the null symbol meaning nothing

so there's nothing for the /m/ sound.

The second word in the pair does have the /m/ sound.

So for this quiz, please listen to me say these sentences and decide which one of the

two words I say.

I'm only going to say one of them.

So you guess, don't guess, but listen to see which word I say.

Here we go.

Can you hear the noisy zoo?

Can you hear the noisy zoo?

And that, of course, was zoo.

What a beautiful doe that is!

What a beautiful doe that is!

Which one?

Okay, doe.

Don't roam too far.

Don't roam too far.

Roam.

And…

The dime fell on the floor.

The dime fell on the floor.

Did you hear it?

That was dime.

In this part of the quiz, I have words with either the /m/ sound or the /n/ sound.

So just like the last part, please listen and decide which word I say.

I need a nap now.

I need a nap now.

That was … which one?....nap.

A mother is coming soon.

A mother is coming soon.

Which one?

That was mother.

That's an ugly sneer on her face.

That's an ugly sneer on her face.

And which was that?

Smear or sneer?

It was sneer.

Here's the last part of the quiz.

In this part of the quiz, I have three words in each sentence for you to choose from.

The first word in each group has neither /m/ nor /n/, so I put the null symbol.

The second word in each group ends in the /m/ sound, and the third word in each group

ends in the /n/ sound.

So in this part of the quiz also I want you to decide which word I say, but first let

me read these words to you.

This is bee, beam, bean, tea, team, teen, low, loam, lone, tie, time, tine.

Please decide which word I say.

There's a big bee in the barn.

There's a big bee in the barn.

Which one?

That was bee.

The team is late.

The team is late.

Which one?

That was team.

Can you see the last three words?

They say in the wall.

There's a lone brick in the wall.

There's a lone brick in the wall.

That was lone.

The last one.

The time is not right.

The time is not right.

That was time.

That's the end of the quiz.

Finally, let's practice saying some sentences.

Here are some sentences containing words with the /m/ sound.

I will read these sentences twice, the first time slowly and the second time a little bit

faster.

Please repeat the sentences after me, so you can have a little bit of practice.

Here we go.

Most men make money in May.

Most men make money in May.

Sometimes the same team comes home with the medal.

Sometimes the same team comes home with the medal.

The rhythmic music makes the movie more dramatic.

The rhythmic music makes the movie more dramatic.

That's it.

That's the end of the video.

Thanks for watching and I hope that you'll watch my other videos as well.

Also, please subscribe if you want to know when I make new videos.

Thanks.

Bye.

Studio Straight Talk - Darren Moore on Clarity M Desktop Loudness Meter - Duration: 4:35.

You can look at it and go "Okay - it looks like one of Jimmy Douglass' mixes

- from when I was coming up", and it's sounding like that too.

I'm sure it should be that way.

Hi, I'm Darren Moore, I'm a long time music production and recording engineer.

I've worked with many of the greats over here.

We're here at the Log Cabin Studio at Manhattan Center,

home of the world famous Hammerstein Ballroom.

I always like to have a meter to refer to, a high-end one,

and a real time analyzer as well - for mixing purposes.

A phase correlation meter is also very good.

I do a lot of recording, so when I'm setting up stereo microphones for like piano or

drum overheads or like room and stuff like that, it's good to have that,

to tell you if everything's going to collapse correctly and

if we're gonna get the widest, prettiest sound of the piano and the drums.

Clarity M is really, really cool.

When you guys sent me the meter and I set it up and I plugged it into the USB hub,

and there was the glorious meters that I love, that used to be right there in the

center section of these giant consoles.

And the device that fit in the palm of my hand

with a lot of added bells and whistles right there

next to the screen that I'm working on, was to me a no brainer.

Since I do music mostly, mixing and production, the real time frequency analyzer

is what I normally have it on.

The Radar is also cool, so I can get an overall look of my loudness

and where the peaks are and how the arc of the song is going.

Here there's a little "LOUD" warning, which you can set independently,

and it's important to watch that too, because we like it loud,

so I do want to tap that a bit, when I'm mixing something,

but judging between how loud, I really am and if I have any peaks,

then I know "okay, this is going to compete with other people's mixes

on whatever the delivery format, but I'm not creating overs that all the other meters

in the digital domain, the computer, is not telling my about."

You know, the ProTools meters, I won't call out any names,

the meters in the computer are small, and they're not as accurate and,

you know, sometimes there are overs, that they're not gonna tell you about,

it doesn't tell you, it happens really quick,

you push your mix up louder and louder and you play it on your laptop,

and you're noticing, it's a little crunchy - and that's because you've got some overs happening,

and since having the Clarity M to work with, and the True-Peak meters,

being able to see: "Oh! I have half-a dB before I'm really peaking!"

and actually be sure that it's half-a dB, when I'm looking at the screen,

and everything seems to be slapping the top and not overing,

but I'm seeing, that I'm actually a little too close to it,

I should back something off, and it's really that sound there,

watching how it hits, that's when it's peaking,

it's helpful, it's very helpful.

It's really cool that the Clarity M has specs for broadcast in America, broadcast in Europe,

broadcast for Japan - I'd love to broadcast something in Japan one day.

But it's good to have that pre-loaded, and I mostly stay with the music specs

that are pre-loaded, and I haven't had the chance to do something for a pure YouTube

or pure iTunes release, but it's good to know that when that comes up, and that person tells me:

"Hey D! I'm just gonna put this out as a promotional piece on YouTube.

Can you just tighten it up and throw a mastering on it?"

that I'm not mastering for a CD; I can look at my levels and my meters,

and I know that "Okay, when you send this to CD Baby or whoever else and it goes

into the system to come out on YouTube, as a YouTube release

or an iTunes release, those are the guys who do that, and it's gonna go through their system,

they have their own QC and all that stuff, they run it through, it's all automated,

and it just kicks it back, when it's not right."

It improves my mix because having the backup assurance of a quality meter to work with,

the real time frequency analyzer shows me what's going on, and it improves my mix

by showing me phase correlation, levels and everything else.

And, you know, the different standards for the different regions is very important to us.

still not sure which name it has.

and yeah.. let's head to this root land. probably from aurora's world.

alright I found out what these symbols mean. you can unlock a secret boss when all are shining. to let them shine you need certain chests.

ok let's see. I gues I forgot one in here. I got the rest from this world.

I'm pretty sure I forgot this one.

I just have to find that specific mirror.

it's not this one-

neither that one.

I had this one already-

yup this one with too much stairs.

yup I was pretty pissed when I saw that one.

alright.

this mirror should appear near that point. is it here? nope.

Deaf Poynters| Episode #6 - Why Hearing People Can't Give Sign Names - Duration: 7:31.

(marker scratching)

(Pokemon game sound)

Hello, and welcome to episode six,

of... I think it's six,

of Deaf Poynters where I talk to you

or, you know, give you advice or whatever

about Deaf and/or disability-related problems

in the car, pretending we're going for a drive.

But the truth is I may have to,

I may have to start thinking about

changing the setup 'cause it is getting too damn hot

to start filming in this car anymore.

North Carolina springs and summers are nothing to mess with

in a car where you have

no air conditioning.

I have air conditioning, but it's too loud for this.

So, with that said, let's get on with this episode.

"Hey Rikki, I just signed up

"to the local Deaf social club in my area

"since I am learning Auslan, Australian Sign Language.

"I recently found out that people who aren't Deaf

"can't give out sign names.

"Out of curiosity, why is that?

"Also, if you're hard of hearing,

"can you give out sign names?"

Very good question, a lot of people don't know this.

First things first, hard of hearing can fall under Deaf

because we are talking about culturally Deaf people

and not just lower d, medically deaf people.

That sounds kind of strange when you word it like that.

Real quick, the difference between lower d deaf

and big D Deaf, lower d, big D,

is there's a medical and a cultural difference.

So even in the big D,

yes, you're still medically deaf obviously

but it's more than this.

This is just, okay, I'm deaf.

These people mostly are just oral.

Kind of like how I was basically, and still sort of am,

depending on the situation.

But then when you got big D over here,

the whole cultural thing, you know.

Fluent in sign language,

the sign language of the country that you're in.

And then very involved in Deaf cultural things,

events, meet-ups, anything.

Very involved in history and what have you.

So there's a difference there.

So you can be hard of hearing and be in this,

and you can also be hard of hearing and be in this, sort of, area.

So there's that.

So yes, hard-of-hearing people,

assuming that you are Deaf, the big D Deaf,

and in that little cultural thing,

yes, they can give out sign names.

So, to talk about why only Deaf people

can give sign names.

Now, if you're hearing, let's get this out of the way.

If you're hearing and you're gonna give out a sign name

because you don't care, so be it

but it doesn't mean that people are gonna approve of it,

so okay.

Nobody can force you to not follow a cultural rule,

but you know, you do you.

So, okay,

now onto the point.

The reason why is because it is a cultural thing.

That's what it is.

So you could consider it cultural appropriation,

I know, that big bad word that a lot of people hate.

You could consider it cultural appropriation

when a hearing person gives out a sign name.

And yes, that includes CODA, a.k.a. a child of Deaf adults.

So there are two pages that I screenshotted

that really explain why

it's very much only appropriate

for Deaf people to give out sign names.

I feel like that's probably a better word to say,

it's more appropriate, whatever.

So my friend Abby from Deafle Puff made a post about this,

and I'll take out a little part of it.

So in the first paragraph she talks

about how if you get a sign name, right.

She says "the sign name must be agreed upon by you

"and most importantly, the Deaf community."

So when I got my sign name, which by the way is this.

You know, K.

I.

Two K's in my name,

which sometimes I end up doing it three times but, yeah.

I have a video, wherever side it will be,

about my sign name if you wanna go watch that.

And it was agreed upon,

Josh Castille made it up, Jules was involved in the,

"Do we agree on this?"

And then I said yes.

So, okay.

"I am going to make this part clear though.

"Hearing people are not allowed to give sign names.

"Even CODAs aren't allowed.

"Only a deaf

"and a hard-of-hearing individual is allowed

"who is involved in the Deaf community.

"Why am I mentioning this?

"Many hearing assume that just because

"they have a deaf or hard-of-hearing friend,

"that means that the deaf and hard-of-hearing person

"give a hearing person a sign name.

"Wrong, we must get to know you,

"understand your personality, who you are

"before even deciding to give you one.

"You must also be a good working..."

that has nothing to do with it.

Okay.

"We can't just give you a sign name,

"and a community must agree with it, too.

"Why?

"Because some people or a location may have a similar sign

"for some one thing which may not be appropriate

or offensive."

So that's not really about,

that's more about hearing people receiving sign names

or something like that,

but here's something from lifeprint.com,

which I absolutely love.

If you're trying to learn ASL, and you're kind of,

and you can't afford classes

and you don't know any Deaf people around you,

Lifeprint is the way to go.

I have that, it's great.

Okay so Bill Vicars, is it "Vickers" or "Vyckers"?

I think it's Vickers.

"In general, only people who are culturally Deaf

"should give name signs to others."

So operative word being should.

"The reason you should get your name sign

"from a Deaf person skilled in ASL

"and active in the Deaf community is because

"such individuals have enough experience to know

"if a potential sign name is grammatically correct

"and culturally appropriate.

"Getting your name sign from a Deaf person

"who is active in the Deaf community

"helps ensure that your new sign name

"doesn't conflict with local name signs

"or those belonging to a prominent

"or historically important individuals."

So I think that last paragraph right there

pretty much sums it up very, very well.

Gives more of an explanation rather than just

no, you can't do this, or, because it's a cultural thing.

This just gives you a little bit more of a detail,

and hopefully, hopefully gets hearing people

to kind of understand why that's kind of not a thing.

I think I've seen some comments on some past videos

about how... coming from hearing people,

and they're kind of like,

"Well why can't I give a sign name?

"What the heck?" You know.

But that paragraph is why.

Because Deaf people who grew up with this, with the language

will know more

and better than you.

Especially if you're not very familiar with any history, you know.

If you were to give them something that's inappropriate,

that would be a bad thing.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Hopefully that gives you a little bit of insight

and helps every single one of you

understand a little bit better.

Also I don't think I said who sent in that question.

The person's name is Miranda.

So thank you Miranda for this question.

I very much appreciate it.

How to Count Carbs for Faster Fat Loss (label trick) - Duration: 3:31.

Hey, everybody.

Shaun Hadsall here with Get Lean in 12.

And inside this short fat loss video

I just want to quickly talk about how to count carbs.

It's a little label trick that you

can use to keep track of your impact carb intake.

Most people count carbs or lower carbs to lose belly fat,

they do it all the wrong way.

Number one, they don't know how to track their carbs properly

or they go extended periods of times on a low-carb diet.

And what ends up happening is you

suppress the critical fat-burning hormones that

are necessary to keep your metabolism elevated

and help your body continue to burn fat.

If you don't know how to strategically add carbs back

into your diet the right way, then what ends up happening

is fat loss is going to stop.

You're going to hit a plateau.

So at the end of this video, I'll share how you can do that.

In the meantime, I just want to talk about how

to count your impact carbs.

These are the carbs that spike insulin and impact blood sugar

and can take your body out of the fat-burning environment,

especially when you eat them by themselves.

So let's look at, for example, steel cut oats.

If we look at steel cut oats, the first thing

that we want to know if we're going low-carb

is, how many impact carbs does this have?

Because we know this is a higher carb food.

If one serving has 32 grams of carbs

and then five grams of fiber.

So you would subtract 5 from 32 and you get a total

of 27 grams of impact carbs.

So this is still a very fat loss friendly food as

long as you monitor your portions right.

And then I recommend that you eat

this in combination with some protein

and maybe a small amount of friendly fat

to help you balance blood sugar even more.

Now here's some almond butter.

This is another fat loss friendly food,

which has six grams of carbs and three grams of fiber.

So two tablespoons of this only has

three grams of impact carbs.

You just have to remember to watch your serving sizes

closely with friendly fats.

Because friendly fats yield nine calories per gram.

Carbs and protein only yield four calories per gram.

So although this is a very fat loss friendly and healthy food,

you have to watch your portion sizes carefully.

Last one is white rice.

And I only recommend that high-intensity exercisers

use white rice.

And I recommend that when you eat it, again,

you eat it with a protein, and maybe a vegetable, and then

a small amount of friendly fat if you want.

And this will help you stabilize and balance blood sugar

more as well.

But rice is mainly designed for anaerobic exercisers

like myself.

So high-intensity exercisers should be eating white rice.

And I recommend you do that in the four-hour window

after your weight training workouts.

But if we look at the label here, we have 34 grams of carbs

and we have one gram of fiber.

So we know we're getting 33 grams of impact carbs.

And this is only a quarter cup dry.

So what's going to end up happening is

a serving size here is really off.

You're going to end up with about 60 grams of carbs

when you eat about a couple of rice.

So hopefully this tells you how to count carbs the right way.

Now, usually there's a couple of different ways

that people struggle with their carb intake.

Like I mentioned, they either lower them too much

and suppress their fat-burning hormones

or they're addicted to them.

You can't stop eating them because certain carbs,

especially sugars, cross the blood-brain barrier

and it impacts your brain just like heroin or morphine,

so you become addicted.

However, there is a way where you can eat lots of carbs

and still lose belly fat.

And somewhere around this video you'll

see a link to click or tap and you learn all about it.

It's my proprietary nutrition system called Macro-Patterning.

So if you got something out of this video,

make sure you share it.

Make sure you like it.

I appreciate you taking time out of your busy day

to check this out and keep going strong.

Perfect Blow Dry Technique // Frizzy to Smooth Hollywood Curls // Daniella Benita - Duration: 14:19.

hey everyone welcome back so today I'm

going to do something a little bit

different than what I normally do this

is my client Lisa and she is going to

get married today and what she wanted

was something that was really relaxed

and romantic but she also wanted me to

know that she gets really frizzy

there's any type of weather change or

just in general so the blowout technique

I'm using is my way of locking in that

smooth hair texture all day and even if

your client isn't getting married you

can apply this blowout technique and

sectioning that I do to any of your

clients and you can even charge a little

bit more because it is a little bit of a

longer process as far as a blowout goes

but if you need something to stay this is

the best technique I've ever used I

learned it at dry bar when I worked there

and I just can't even imagine my life

without doing this blow-dry technique

especially with clients like Lisa who

have super super frizzy just

unmanageable texture so if you have

clients like that i would highly

recommend watching this tutorial and i

will explain the best I can

everything I'm going to do okay let's dive in

so I did apply product to her hair I

used Brazilian Blowout smoothing cream and then

I also used guts which is a volumizer by

redken I love both of those products if

you need any of those highly recommend

them and what I did was make a section

from both ears and I began in the front

and why this is so important is because

the front of the hairline curls first so

you really need to make sure you get the

front done first because as soon as

that curl gets in there you're

done you have to start over and wet my

hair and what I'm doing is taking

section by section horizontally up the

head and i'm wrapping it under and the

reason i'm wrapping it under for her

is because

I'm trying to get that old Hollywood

glamour type of look if you had a

client who just wanted like a normal

type of swept back blowout I would face

the curls away from her face that would

give her more kind of the relaxed and

voluminous blowout so this is what I'm

going to show you today is like this

retro kind of old Hollywood glamour set

and I'm just going throughout her hair

and as you can see i have not rough

dried her hair at the reason being

is because if I rough dry her hair it's

going to bring out all of that frizz

like all of that dry texture that's

there it's just waiting for me to rough

dry it and the best way you can get the

smoothest blowout possible is my starting wet to

dry and I'm talking wet like as soon as

your towel dry their hair pretty much as

much as you can get out of there like

tie it up in the back get that section

out of the way and then start blow

drying and you're going to see such a

difference in your blow-dry also I can't

stress enough get a blow dryer that is

hot enough and i know i say this

constantly but i am so obsessed this

blow dryer I don't know what I would do

without it my elchim is crazy hot I'll

show you in a later take of this there's

literally steam coming off her hair I

don't know if that's a good thing but at

the same time her blow-dry doesn't move

so I'm happy about it but now what I'm

doing is doing the same technique on the

other side and I'm just rolling

everything under and I'm trying to pull

a little bit of volume into a root but

i'm really going over that hair so many

times like I'm not just going over twice

and rolling it under I'm making sure

that it's completely dry and that's what

dry bar taught us was do not leave the

hair section unless completely dry so

then I also spray with hairspray and I

tuck it under and I clip it with a

duckbill clip so the other side was

under and then this side is under as

well and I'm just moving up the head

horizontal sections and really

concentrating everything from the root

down and if you're worried about burning

your clients

make sure you can feel the heat on you

and you're pointing the blow dryer

completely at yourself and you'll be

totally fine you won't burn them because

I'm sure you guys have felt it i know i

have felt it was someone burned your

scalp it's really freaking hurt so just

make sure but here's that shot with the

smoke coming off of her hair that's how hot

this blow dryer get not that maybe yours

doesn't have to get that hot but I know

for a fact when my blow dryer is nice

hot the hair gets so much smoother and

it's just I don't know it's just so much

easier to work with when I have a super

hot blow dryer so I'm just working up the

back of the head and I'm still doing the

same amount of sectioning rolling

everything under and I'm just doing two

at the bottom and then three up and then

I think it will be two at the top that's

left for the sectioning but take

sections that are the same measurement

as your brush and you'll be totally

fine but really make sure they're clean

so you don't get tangled up because it's

really easy to get tangled in someones

hair and get your brush stuck so really

take the time to just make that section

nice and clean and then begin blow-dry

and as you can see i have everything

sectioned up in a way that's wet because

when hair is wet it should not touch dry

hair like that's when frizz happens so

what I have here is all the dry hair

together and I'm starting from the

bottom up and then I'm going to end at

the top and everything is going to dry

together and that's how you get that

beautiful to blow out that would last

all night

and I just wanted to let you know the

way that I hold my blow dryer and I'm so

fast at getting my brush and my blow

dryer back in the same place is i tuck

it between my legs I know you can't see

it here but it is like the best trick to

hold your blow dryer while you're making

another section I don't know if it's you

know the safest or whatever but it

really does work so if you guys want to

give that a shot you can move much

faster if you don't have to turn your

blow dryer off and pick it back up you

can just tuck it between your legs

really fast grab that section grab that

brush up grab that blow dryer and your

back to the races again

and as you can see I'm on the last

section here the last one is usually the

most difficult I took a pretty big

section because I'm just used to doing

it now but when I first began blow

drying this would have been really

intense for me to grab a section like

this and control it so I would recommend

if you're just starting out and haven't

really set a blow dry before I would

just cut that section in half so it's

not so much hair to deal with and just

take your time like there's no rush you

don't have to grab a giant chunk like I

did you'll work up to that and being

able to control the hair without getting

it tangled

so once you've done your last section

just grab your favorite light weight hair

spray and if you have somebody who

doesn't mind having that hair spray feel

in their hair you can grab something a

little stronger I find that most of my

clients like they don't like to have

that hairspray feeling in their hair so

my favorite is fashion work 12 it's so

lightweight it's extremely buildable so

if you guys need something like that I

recommend that hairspray it's my

favorite to use and I'm literally just

covering every section with hairspray

making sure the front hairline is really

targeted because that's what I'm going

to worry about the most and I'm

literally gonna let her sit there for 20

minutes so if you have a bride that

wanted this done I wasn't doing her

makeup today but you could easily do her

makeup while she's setting and you can

kill two birds with one stone there and

now I'm just going to take all the clips

out and I'm just going to let the curls

fall where they are for a second you

want to kind of let them breathe live in

their own curl you don't want to just

start brushing through them and going

crazy they have like a beautiful shape

that they set to and you really want to

be gentle with them so now what I'm

going to do is take my comb and I'm just

using the White T's end and I'm just

going to lightly brush through the end

and start to shake her hair into just a

really relaxed type of look when curls

first come out they look like intense

and that's what I said around like these

might be really intense and dramatic right

now and voluminous but give it an

hour all of this is going to set and it's

going to look beautiful and natural so

you can tell your clients that to if they

look at you like oh my god my hair is

really big right now just tell them

it'll totally relax in an hour and it'll

be the perfect

style for them so I'm just taking my comb

and pushing that hair up and just kind

of shaping it with my fingers and that's

what's so fun with setting it really

turns into a different head of hair and

you can really make it your own and play

with the persons texture and see what

likes to lay somewhere what doesn't

like the lay somewhere and the hair will

really tell you so just comb lightly and

listen to it and I did the same thing in

the back and it just looks gorgeous and

soft and shiny and it's such a pretty

way to blow dry someone out and they're

gonna feel like a goddess after this I

don't know if you've ever had your hair

set but it really is like the best like

the women in the 20s and 30s knew what

they were doing with this type of

hairstyle so I took those duckbill clips

as you can see in the front and I just

set them exactly where I wanted those

curls to stay and I'm giving it one more

spray and then I'm going to take this

duckbill clips out and she's going to be

good to go so I really hope you guys

liked this tutorial and this really

helped you in the salon and blossom

styling are really underrated I feel

like they're like the under dogs the

hair world because when someone does a

good blowout on you you do not forget

it so I definitely recommend getting

good at this because I had clients who

we come back to me because they

remembered my blowout so definitely

something you want to hone in and train

well on and this technique it's going to

be great for you guys you're going to

love it especially when you have that

girl with frizzy texture in your chair

and you're like oh crap what do I do

this is going to save you every time so

I really hope you guys love this tutorial and I

will see you guys on the next one! Bye!

you

#EngineeredAggression - Power Striking, Potential & Kinetic Energy, Torque, Inertia (012) - Duration: 3:16.

Hey guys, it's Steve. Let's talk about engineered

power in striking. What I mean by that,

I'm not going to calculate the newtons

of force but let's just talk about the

basics. Alright, we've got our vertical mass,

that's potential energy. When we sit on

punches, that's taking advantage of that.

if we fall, use that gravity, that

vertical energy, potential energy to fall

into our opponent and we've got kinetic

energy moving us in. As we're rotating

we've got torque. Our body is all inertia.

Anytime we get it moving in that torque

position, or in that entering

moving forward position, it's all power!

It's all power. And not to mention we've

got muscles and we've got other things

as well but the focus of the power comes

from the bulk of our mass as far as the

engineered efficiency of the power.

The other portion of that is just tight

movements. Specific, as if i had a bungee

cord attached to my, from my wrist, or my

hand, literally from my knuckles to my opponent's

nose, it's going to be pulled

directly there. And it's going to come

directly back as if a bungee cord

pulled it directly back. The efficiency

in movement in everything that we do is

a lot of where that power comes from too.

Alright? We've got body rotation, inertia,

potential energy, kinetic energy, torque...

We're powerful beasts, let's use it! I try to squeeze

every piece, every ounce, every

gram of energy and every newton that I can get out of

everything. Of course in a fight,

in reality, things are going to be compromised

and you've never going to have that perfect

punch, almost never, but we train for it.

Naturally. We train train for here,

and what were able to achieve in the mix

of everything is dependent on our

training, but we always train for the most

efficient we can, and so we're constantly

thinking about every bit of those rotations,

every bit of that energy, the conservation of

movement, always relaxed, always balanced.

In the big picture fight game, power comes from

engineering, in striking. Keep an eye out for

my other videos that are linked below in the

description. We'll be becoming with quite a few more.

We'll talk about all the different types

of movement, defense, taking advantage of

some of those natural power that can

come with the movement. Alright guys, if you

liked this click Like,... Subscribe, and

if you think that it might benefit someone,

then share it. Share that love. That's what i'm doing,

...and #peace! Alright? Take care. Watch for that elbow, but,

watch for that double leg too!

The Lion King - Zira's Shot in the Dark (Within Temptation) (HD) - Duration: 3:08.

I've been left out alone like a damn criminal

I've been praying for help 'cause I can't take it all

I'm not done

It's not over

Now I'm fighting this war since the day of the fall

And I'm desperately holding on to it all

But I'm lost

I'm so damn lost

Oh I wish it was over

And I wish you were here

Still I'm hoping that somehow

'Cause your soul is on fire

A shot in the dark

What did they aim for when they missed your heart

I breathe underwater

It's all in my hands

But what can I do

Don't let it fall apart

A shot in the dark

A shot in the dark

In the blink of an eye

I can see through your eyes

As I'm lying awake I'm still hearing the cries

And it hurts

Hurts me so bad

And I'm wondering why I still fight in this life

'Cause I've lost all my faith in this damned bitter strife

And it's sad

It's so damn sad

Oh I wish it was over

And I wish you were here

Still I'm hoping that somehow

'Cause your soul is on fire

A shot in the dark

What did they aim for when they missed your heart

I breathe underwater

It's all in my hands

But what can I do

Don't let it fall apart

A shot in the dark

A shot in the dark

A shot in the dark

A shot in the dark

A shot in the dark

Artsvik - Fly With Me (Armenia) Евровидение 2017 (Russian's REACTION) - Duration: 8:32.

Hi everyone! It's RAMusic and we're watching more Eurovision contestants which YOU requested!

Today is Armenian's turn, the thing is

I wanted to watch Armenia because of the promo they did

From the beginning Armenia was hesitant to put the song out

that's all Iknow

and was almost last to release its song

Maybe they wanted some press or attention, maybe they have a very cool song

maybe they have some famous singer there, I don't really know the gist of it

I know that the video is now released and

and we should listen to it! What did they prepare and do they have a chance of winning the whole thing?

Armenia has been performing pretty well for the past years so

we have to watch what they got today! Let's go!

So we're here ready to watch Armenia on Eurovision!

the song is by Artsvik - Fly With Me

Haven't heard of this singer, don't really know if it's a man or a woman

Don't know if it's a music video or a national finale performance, but I guess it's a video, so lets hear it!

I think we have to get it a bit louder

Such a gentle voice here! and it seems like the giant braid is real!

the central part is like not made of hair, but looks good!

I heard that she wants to tell us the story from her heart,

I hope that's not the only location they're doing, the 1st one with the braid was great

She has like a Melodifestivalen logo on her chest)))

but like in a star shape)

oh, Artsvik look pretty damn serious in this video)

Not sure if that humming was a chorus or what?

because it was veeery long and not THAT memorable

This looks like a chorus now

oh! The dancer lost his hood! right in the video))

Seems like this is the only location they used...

oh the hairstyle is different

From what I've heard so far the lyrics are pretty basic and very simple

interesting

ohhh that's too loud now

She's like ...very..

too serious imo

And that's it? wow! okay!

let's discuss you guuys! The song choice is quite strange

First of all, that looong bridge or what was that, it hsn't transformed into chorus eventually

She just repeated those 2 lines

and that's it. By the way the lyrics

the man problem is the lyrics I think

because there's nothing to catch there, nothing memorable

she sang the phrase 2 times

But in the beginning she said there's gonna be a story!

but then there's no story at all, just generic phrases!

everything was on 1 location, ad despite the dance moves and lighting

the video was a bit boring and not that exciting to watch

Iguess all the money went to the braid thingy at the beginning, but that was beautiful)

Speaking about the singer...I thought she was a bit..I don't know

looked a bit agressive you know

because such inspiring lines like

people sing them usually in a great uplifting mood

which motivates you, helps you to believe in yourself really

and it's seems like she sang them just to show the transition of the song you know

she was more loud and agressive as the song progressed

inserted some riffs in there

there was no modulation here, she was just louder and heavier singing every time

and at the end she went IN

a bit scary to be honest

and she looks very serious

very mature, she looks beautiful but

she's definitely has some experience, I don't think this is a young girl

she's like a famous Armenian singer maybe

she looks good, she givees you face!

Maybe that's the main problem bc there's like a empty space between her and the listener

She looks like a queen and behaves that way, people can't relate to her

I guess I didn't...I didn't like this..I didn't like the song

I think I'm sure: I didn't like it

I didn't like it more that I liked it))

I don't know what to expect from the performance, I guess the sae thing with the same singing and dance moves

I don't think they will come up w/smth else to make the performance unique

same dancers in the same coats

And on May 9th or 11th we need to see this anyway

It's sad that I didn't like it, because they were so intense prior to the release!

I hope to see some controversial stuff)

but the lyrics is not good, the video...

the voice, she has but that's not enough!

The strange thing about the voice tho, the singer from Denmark

has kind of the same thing

They start yelling (it's a rude word of course, you know I mean)

they use high notes constantly and at some point you can't even concentrate on the song

they sing on their peak the whole time

and it seems like they use high notes just for the sake of high notes

and that's not that likable, we GET that you have great voices, we get it

For example, Whitney Houston

Perfect structure of the song! Low in the beginning

Then she had some points with high notes in the chorus, little ones

That give you goosebumps, very emotional, and that's how she felt, that's not math

I don't know it's such a strange thing to explain but somehow

singing always in high chest voice is not as exciting

I guess that's it, leave a like if you liked the video

and let's discuss in the comments what did you like about the song or not!

Maybe I misheard something? What meaning does it have?

I didn't quite hear the specific story

Fly with me...is she a bird figure or what? Guys!

help me! I'm human! That's the first reaction

I heard the song and told you what I think, I may be wrong!

so comment, I'm gonna read and discuss with you!

Of COURSE I don't have anything against Artsvik, I saw her for the 1st time now

She's very good as a singer

But the song is made very generic lyricswise like they made hits for charts

for everyone to relate to it

But I...didn't even get the meaning...

Maybe there's something there, I'm a great example of a person who just watched the video

Videos are up on Sunday and sometimes Thursday, reaction have no schedule!

Subscribe guys and have a nice day! Bye-bye!

Triune God Medley - Duration: 7:09.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;

Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty! God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Let all things their Creator bless, And worship Him in humbleness,

O praise Him, Alleluia!

Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, And praise the Spirit, Three in One,

O praise Him, O praise Him, Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below;

Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Almighty God, to Thee Be endless honours done,

The undivided Three, And the mysterious One.

Where reason fails, with all her powers, There faith prevails and love adores.

Holy Father, Holy Son, Holy Spirit: Three we name Thee,

Though in essence only One; Undivided God we claim Thee,

And adoring, bend the knee While we sing our praise to Thee.

Praise ye the Spirit, Comforter of Israel, Sent of the Father and the Son to bless us;

Praise ye the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit − Praise ye the Triune God!

Praise God, who reigns on high, The Lord whom we adore:

The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, One God forevermore.

Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice, give thanks, and sing!

To Thee, great One in Three, Eternal praises be,

Hence evermore; Thy sov'reign majesty

May we in glory see, And to eternity

Love and adore.

To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, The God whom heaven and earth adore,

From earth and from the angel host Be praise and glory evermore.

The whole triumphant host Give thanks to God on high.

"Hail, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!" They ever cry.

Hail, Abraham's God and mine! I join the heavenly lays:

All might and majesty are Thine And endless praise!

Thanks.

Bye.

Fallout - 20 Anniversary [Eng. Sub] - Duration: 7:19.

We have past so much together

20 Years

20 long years...

Short in the time terms

we have done many things

Traveled

Known

From the darkness of Boneyard,

to the desolation of Capital Wasteland

From the ghost of the past,

And the sins of Vegas

until the Commonwealth warzone...

We've past so much...

Change destinys

Creating frienship, surviving...

In this wasteland without hope...

But something we have not able to change...

Something that will never change

Spite of the kingdoms that rise

And the kings who fall...

War...

War never changes

Revelation 21:6 I am Alfa and Omega, the beginning and the end...

20 Years...
