Toilet Paper Rolls 🌻 Marigold flower art 🎨 EASY painting for Beginners - Duration: 13:01.

Hi I'm Cinnamon Cooney,

The Art Sherpa and I want to

show you how you can

make this gorgeous painting a

marigold with a couple of

simple items you probably have

in your house right now.

So get your toilet paper rolls.

Get some cotton buds.

Back in and meet me at the

easel right now.

I'm going to show you how to do

this painting. Let's go.

Our materials for this

fabulously easy project are

a 9 by 12 canvas board prejudge

Soden or any paint that you

could use paper for acrylic

painting.

Over here I have reclaimed

paper towel rolls and toilet

paper rolls.

I have a large acrylic

brush. This is about an inch

wide and a nice

Filbert. This is a number for

Philbert brush bunches

of cotton swabs tied together

with rubber bands scissors

dogs deep purple yellow

medium nap Thall red medium

yellow green quite accurate no

magenta and titanium white.

But you can use the colors that

you have.

The first step color toilet

paper rolls.

So to do this project I want

to cut my rolls and I

want to cut one set of rolls

longer and one set shorter

to set the cut.

I'm going to come in just under

an inch for the first one.

Snip come over.

Just a hair and try

to snip about

the same height.

You don't have to be perfect

but you do want them to be

fairly thin not too

thick to get

the event.

Do that all the way around the.

When you cut it

you're going to just flare them

out gently.

Like a little skirt.

I use my hand to press them

flat

and then down on to

my little pal here so that you

get this effect.

Now cut this one with shorter

fringe.

I'm going to do about just

under

half inch a little over a

quarter square these out

as well.

So that's what you have one

longer one shorter.

Let's paint in the background.

You can really use any color

background that you like at the

end we'll show you some

examples of maybe some other

choices but in this particular

one I want to purply pink

color.

So I've got the dogs in the

purple which might look

black to you but is actually

purple.

This is a magenta and this is

the white.

Again use the paint that you

have any colors that you like.

I'm going to mix the purple and

the magenta together.

Just a little more pink

and add just a smidge of white

to it to warm it up

in a nice light profile.

It's going to painting the

whole background

with this very pretty color

set.

With a project like this you

can do it over and over again

and experiment with a lot of

variations.

Feel like you can make it your

own

and really enjoy what you're

creating.

I mean to come across in

like background smoothen

pretty.

Flowers really pop

since I'm ready to put in my

toilet paper marigolds.

This is really a lot of fun

let's put our paint out on the

pallet.

I'm going to use for my

marigolds now thaw read medium.

You can use any red

or colors that you want for

this technique.

These flowers can be rainbow.

They can be any of your

favorite colors.

I just was really excited about

marigolds

and cutting out some yellow.

And then my Also for when I get

Q-tips and a little white over

here to the side

so I've really been enjoying my

toilet paper rolls today.

I you know you can do several

paintings with these

and how you do it is you tap it

down into the paint.

It kind of twirl around like

this which loads it.

And then what I like to do.

Is come and get the edge here.

See a little of that

orange is on my Marigold

when I come over here in

the upper right corner.

I'm going to have the most fun

ever.

and twirl and tap

creating a cute

sunny cheerful little guy

might come right here.

tap if you need more paint

get a little more red.

Just tap down tap tap

from again in your yellow

get as much

or as little as

you like.

As twirling

and tapping

once cheerful

and you can imagine how many

colors you could

do if you wanted to

put that aside.

Paint side ups and make crazy

mess.

Now here's the shorter one I've

clipped this

time.

I'm going to come and load up

just my yellow paint

but I do want to get a little

of my orange

on the edge of my yellow

just to make a bit of a layer

tap on the inside.

Not nice.

All right.

Just beautiful.

And I already can see that

they're feeling very Merrygold

the let's

take them to wherever you want

them to be.

Now for the center I'm going to

grab my bunches of

Q-tips that are tied together

with a band in first

I think I'm going to work a

nice orange.

Meet I'm just making

sure that all

my little Q-tips are covered.

Come in the center.

This one

just fill that in.

It's really fun.

These are the little petals in

the center.

And what I say is it's nice

whatever colors you're using

to alternate them up.

So it feels like there's fields

in layers and you

don't necessarily want to paint

out everything that is behind.

Now I'm on that gets just

yellow.

Well my Q-tips

right in the center here just

put in

little dabs

just yellow.

I like to alternate between my

flowers so now I'm going to

take this bunch of Q-tips

blow them up with paint

and do yellow in the center

here.

Like this.

So you were changing it up.

Just a happy little center.

Then I'm going

to come in

grab. You can even get some red

just a bright orange.

This right in the

center

created a different little

center right there.

So you just look at that when

you're happy.

You're ready to lay in your

leaves.

We're going to go in so fast

and so easy.

Let's put out those colors.

So my leaf color

is going to be

this green

Stella green this yellow.

And I have so

white right there to lighten.

I'm going to get

a number for Philbert.

You can use any brush you have.

I like the shape of the brush.

I feel like it helps me.

And then when it comes between

my two pain areas

I'm going to

load my brush

morning come from the bottom

and make a curved

line on

the edge of the brush.

I use just the tip of the

bristles edge of the brush to

press down very hard

and then I'm going to make

another soft little line coming

over here.

Well there's so little line

curving over here I think

the curve of the lines is

important

right there.

Load up again.

Kind of do a similar thing.

Soft little line.

Maybe one tweenies

too

two curve

lines coming over here.

And what I'm going to do.

Someone come and load my brush

and see how it's some green

and some yellow

and I'm going to plant this

down.

Back a stroke.

Come on the edge.

Pull stroke flip the brush over

can you see the patter

gets more yellow and green on

there.

Just using the shape of the

brush

to create these delightful

little leaves on occasion

I like to add some weight to

the mix and it will

help me have some nicer leaves

to press down.

Pressing these leaves down

come down.

So I might grab a little more

dark green here.

Creates a lot of interest.

In my which

will more yellow see how that

is. I want to make sure I've

got some green in it.

Princetown

just doing this zipper cits

press in and Kervin.

So it's like a zipper.

Just make a little zipper

now on your plants.

It might grab a little white

come here and go over some

leaves that I had to give them

some more dimension and

personality because

I like.

This to be very interesting.

Let's grab some darker green

and make sure we're tipped in

yellow.

Come here.

Just press in this zipper.

Left right

left right

left right.

Remember you can flip your

brush to find more paint on the

comeback and get some white

getting some interest to the

color.

In some green and some yellow

rinse then in

zipper down

the zipper is really fun

and you can see

that makes a very interesting

leaf.

It's dark green.

Now.

Just picking up different

colors to make my foliage seem

more interesting

press well

it's not hard to separate in.

And the last step I

think is really lovely for the

composition is to

a little of your yellowing

green on your brush.

I'd like to go right between

the pink pups. They're both on

their And I'm going

to make

little brass lines

on the edge of my brush.

Not too many.

One two one two

three.

That's it.

That's all it takes.

I just wanted to say that this video is discussing issues of transgender dysphoria and also the

second half of the video talks about self-harm.

Um, if you want to watch the first half of the video but don't want to watch the self-harm

section of the video, I am putting a trigger warning in the video itself, and there will

So I was watching some old vlogs on YouTube, I'm not gonna say say who's because it's

not important, but the important bit to this story is that

in these vlogs there are a group of cisgender YouTubers who all went to a swimming pool.

It felt, strange, wrong almost, seeing people comfortable in swimwear, and in their own skin.

And I'm not saying that anyone in these vlogs is 100% comfortable in their skin and

in the way they look, I'm definitely not saying that.

but the concept of being happy in your own body is so incredibly foreign to me,

it was, kind of jarring to see people so comfortable in as little as board-shorts or bikinis.

It made me realize how incredibly uncomfortable I am in my own body.

So, I was looking at all these people and i realized that none of them had to work to

make their body something that they are comfortable in.

None of these men had to fork out huge amounts of cash to have flat chests and none

of them had scars just under their pecs and none of the women were uncomfortable,

or trying to hide their chests or curves and there was no one was sitting on the sidelines

with some shitty excuse as to why they're not participating.

Sometimes I think I forget that my experiences aren't shared, at least in some part, with

every other person.

I think it's partly because i surround myself with so much queer media and so many queer

people that I forget that my experiences aren't quote-unquote "normal".

I think this reminded me of why queer people tend to surround themselves with people of similar experiences

and I'm sure it happens in other minority groups too, and it reminded me of

why I'm so cautious, a lot of the time, around cis people.

If this cisgender experience is so incredibly alienating to me, I can't even imagine what

it would be like looking into a trans experience from a cis perspective.

The whole thing was also a bit of a wake-up call about how much I've normalized scars,

at least in my own head.

I think the normalization of surgery scars is great, awesome, it's... at least I can't think of any

down sides to that, but my brain is at a point where it's weird to me that none of these

people had scars, at least that I saw.

None from injuries, none from self-harm, none from reckless behavior caused by suicidal

ideation.

I think the normalization of self-harm in my own head and in the people and media I

surround myself with is a little worrying to me really.

It's, very worrying to me really.

I don't know whether this normalization comes from seeing these scars on myself each

day or seeing them on my friends or just the knowledge that some people

I know do self-harm, but, i think this realization was a massive wake-up call to me about the

media that I'm looking at. And when i say media I mean things on the internet, I mean TV shows,

I mean movies, books, poetry, everything.

I also realized that the act of harming yourself is very normalized in my brain.

It's... something that I find myself thinking about a lot, and it's something that I know

my friends think about a lot, at least some of my friends.

And um, I don't know... that... really, freaked me out.

I don't really have a good conclusion to this video, I just wanted to share it and see if

anyone else had maybe similar experience, similar thoughts, similar feelings, that kind

of thing.

My Self-Story - Duration: 1:54.

My name is Cris Torres.

I'm currently an editor at BYU Broadcasting.

This is where I work, it's an awesome space.

I really love it.

But my real dream is to be a news producer.

My love of broadcasting started when I was about 8.

The first video I can remember recording was my best friend and I doing a news broadcast

in my bedroom.

Before we begin our main session, we will see time-saver traffic and weather.

Then in middle school, I joined the morning show and I had my own segment.

We are back with the InfoBlock, Cris Torres here leading you through the latest.

However, when I started high school, I faced a problem.

The existing morning show was kind of the ordinary "two kids in front of a blue screen"

broadcast, and I wanted to create something that was more engaging than that.

So I designed a new workflow that would allow us to shoot out in the field, interviewing

students, recording sports, conferences, whatever.

And when I presented it to the crew, they loved it.

And so did the student body.

This major transition from a studio show to a pre-recorded broadcast really changed the

whole atmosphere of our campus.

This is what we live for!

I told you, I said Longhorns was going to win!

You can tell from the energy on screen that the students loved hearing and seeing themselves

and being part of the broadcast experience.

And all this came about because of the changes I made to the show.

While I have a lot of other accomplishments like being featured on the news, interviewing

an Air Force reporter, and creating some intense action movies, I'm most proud of the changes

I made to the morning show in our small town.

In our case, media had the ability to unite us, to make us laugh, to make us cry, and

to build a sense of community.

My hope is that in the future, I can face a challenge similar to this one, and use the

power of media to bring people together.

So, I'll play this intro

and then I'll explain how it's made with which chords

and how you can play it

I'll think you're going to recognize it

it's an intro of a well known piece that we play very often in gypsy jazz

this intro sounds like that

I think you recognized it, it's the intro of "Hungaria"

So this intro is in G

So, the first chord is a G6

this position right here

So my middle finger is on the 3rd fret / E string

the forefinger 2nd fret / D string

the little finger, 4th fret / G string

and the ring finger, 3rd fret / B string

So, G6

we can also play it like that

but I have it easier to use this position

so that's a G6/9

So right there I'm playing the 3rd fret / E string with my thumb

My middle finger is doing a barre chord 5th fret / A and D strings

the forefinger is on the 4th fret / G string

and the ring finger does a barre chord on the 5th fret / B and E strings

Here again I play it as a triad, so it's just a G

where the root note is different

Toilet Paper Rolls 🌻 Marigold flower art 🎨 EASY painting for Beginners - Duration: 13:01.

Hi I'm Cinnamon Cooney,

The Art Sherpa and I want to

show you how you can

make this gorgeous painting a

marigold with a couple of

simple items you probably have

in your house right now.

So get your toilet paper rolls.

Get some cotton buds.

Back in and meet me at the

easel right now.

I'm going to show you how to do

this painting. Let's go.

Our materials for this

fabulously easy project are

a 9 by 12 canvas board prejudge

Soden or any paint that you

could use paper for acrylic

painting.

Over here I have reclaimed

paper towel rolls and toilet

paper rolls.

I have a large acrylic

brush. This is about an inch

wide and a nice

Filbert. This is a number for

Philbert brush bunches

of cotton swabs tied together

with rubber bands scissors

dogs deep purple yellow

medium nap Thall red medium

yellow green quite accurate no

magenta and titanium white.

But you can use the colors that

you have.

The first step color toilet

paper rolls.

So to do this project I want

to cut my rolls and I

want to cut one set of rolls

longer and one set shorter

to set the cut.

I'm going to come in just under

an inch for the first one.

Snip come over.

Just a hair and try

to snip about

the same height.

You don't have to be perfect

but you do want them to be

fairly thin not too

thick to get

the event.

Do that all the way around the.

When you cut it

you're going to just flare them

out gently.

Like a little skirt.

I use my hand to press them

flat

and then down on to

my little pal here so that you

get this effect.

Now cut this one with shorter

fringe.

I'm going to do about just

under

half inch a little over a

quarter square these out

as well.

So that's what you have one

longer one shorter.

Let's paint in the background.

You can really use any color

background that you like at the

end we'll show you some

examples of maybe some other

choices but in this particular

one I want to purply pink

color.

So I've got the dogs in the

purple which might look

black to you but is actually

purple.

This is a magenta and this is

the white.

Again use the paint that you

have any colors that you like.

I'm going to mix the purple and

the magenta together.

Just a little more pink

and add just a smidge of white

to it to warm it up

in a nice light profile.

It's going to painting the

whole background

with this very pretty color

set.

With a project like this you

can do it over and over again

and experiment with a lot of

variations.

Feel like you can make it your

own

and really enjoy what you're

creating.

I mean to come across in

like background smoothen

pretty.

Flowers really pop

since I'm ready to put in my

toilet paper marigolds.

This is really a lot of fun

let's put our paint out on the

pallet.

I'm going to use for my

marigolds now thaw read medium.

You can use any red

or colors that you want for

this technique.

These flowers can be rainbow.

They can be any of your

favorite colors.

I just was really excited about

marigolds

and cutting out some yellow.

And then my Also for when I get

Q-tips and a little white over

here to the side

so I've really been enjoying my

toilet paper rolls today.

I you know you can do several

paintings with these

and how you do it is you tap it

down into the paint.

It kind of twirl around like

this which loads it.

And then what I like to do.

Is come and get the edge here.

See a little of that

orange is on my Marigold

when I come over here in

the upper right corner.

I'm going to have the most fun

ever.

and twirl and tap

tap

creating a cute

sunny cheerful little guy

might come right here.

Tap

tap if you need more paint

get a little more red.

Just tap down tap tap

from again in your yellow

get as much

or as little as

you like.

As twirling

and tapping

once cheerful

and you can imagine how many

colors you could

do if you wanted to

put that aside.

Paint side ups and make crazy

mess.

Now here's the shorter one I've

clipped this

time.

I'm going to come and load up

just my yellow paint

but I do want to get a little

of my orange

on the edge of my yellow

just to make a bit of a layer

tap on the inside.

Not nice.

All right.

Just beautiful.

And I already can see that

they're feeling very Merrygold

the let's

take them to wherever you want

them to be.

Now for the center I'm going to

grab my bunches of

Q-tips that are tied together

with a band in first

I think I'm going to work a

nice orange.

Meet I'm just making

sure that all

my little Q-tips are covered.

Come in the center.

This one

just fill that in.

It's really fun.

These are the little petals in

the center.

And what I say is it's nice

whatever colors you're using

to alternate them up.

So it feels like there's fields

in layers and you

don't necessarily want to paint

out everything that is behind.

Now I'm on that gets just

yellow.

Well my Q-tips

right in the center here just

put in

little dabs

just yellow.

I like to alternate between my

flowers so now I'm going to

take this bunch of Q-tips

blow them up with paint

and do yellow in the center

here.

Like this.

So you were changing it up.

Just a happy little center.

Then I'm going

to come in

grab. You can even get some red

just a bright orange.

This right in the

center

created a different little

center right there.

So you just look at that when

you're happy.

You're ready to lay in your

leaves.

We're going to go in so fast

and so easy.

Let's put out those colors.

So my leaf color

is going to be

this green

Stella green this yellow.

And I have so

white right there to lighten.

I'm going to get

a number for Philbert.

You can use any brush you have.

I like the shape of the brush.

I feel like it helps me.

And then when it comes between

my two pain areas

I'm going to

load my brush

morning come from the bottom

and make a curved

line on

the edge of the brush.

I use just the tip of the

bristles edge of the brush to

press down very hard

and then I'm going to make

another soft little line coming

over here.

Well there's so little line

curving over here I think

the curve of the lines is

important

right there.

Load up again.

Kind of do a similar thing.

Soft little line.

Maybe one tweenies

too

two curve

lines coming over here.

And what I'm going to do.

Someone come and load my brush

and see how it's some green

and some yellow

and I'm going to plant this

down.

Back a stroke.

Come on the edge.

Pull stroke flip the brush over

can you see the patter

gets more yellow and green on

there.

Just using the shape of the

brush

to create these delightful

little leaves on occasion

I like to add some weight to

the mix and it will

help me have some nicer leaves

to press down.

Pressing these leaves down

come down.

So I might grab a little more

dark green here.

Creates a lot of interest.

In my which

will more yellow see how that

is. I want to make sure I've

got some green in it.

Princetown

just doing this zipper cits

press in and Kervin.

So it's like a zipper.

Just make a little zipper

now on your plants.

It might grab a little white

come here and go over some

leaves that I had to give them

some more dimension and

personality because

I like.

This to be very interesting.

Let's grab some darker green

and make sure we're tipped in

yellow.

Come here.

Just press in this zipper.

Left right

left right

left right.

Remember you can flip your

brush to find more paint on the

comeback and get some white

getting some interest to the

color.

In some green and some yellow

rinse then in

zipper down

the zipper is really fun

and you can see

that makes a very interesting

leaf.

It's dark green.

Now.

Just picking up different

colors to make my foliage seem

more interesting

press well

it's not hard to separate in.

And the last step I

think is really lovely for the

composition is to

a little of your yellowing

green on your brush.

I'd like to go right between

the pink pups. They're both on

their And I'm going

to make

little brass lines

on the edge of my brush.

Not too many.

One two one two

three.

That's it.

That's all it takes.

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on

the backside, sealed with seven seals.
