Alberto Manguel – Os dois melhores livros sobre viagens ao submundo - Duration: 4:16.

If I had to randomly choose two… But there is…

There is a great number which could be contestants.

But let's pick two.

The Divine Comedy

and Alice in Wonderland.

They are two travels.

Two discovery travels.

Two travels made through words, because…

In Dante's after-life, the dead don't forget words,

souls can speak.

In the conception of Judaism,

there are no words in the after-life,

the dialogue with God had to be made on Earth,

on the beyond there is no possibility of dialogue. Dante...

Doesn't exactly denies it, but transforms it

in order to communicate with these souls, who tell who they were.

Sometimes, for Dante to remember them,

and, sometimes, only for the desire of telling their story.

Sometimes, they don't want to tell it because

there are a few souls who prefer oblivion,

but there is no oblivion on the beyond.

In a way that Dante can build through this dialogue

and a very, very concrete geography of hell, purgatory

and, of course, an abstract one of heaven

– because in heaven there is no space and time –,

a reality which, for the reader, is absolute.

You read the Comedy

and know that they're turning left or right,

that they stumbled on a rock, that it's already nighttime…

That there's a very deep moat, that there's ice…

All of that very, very concrete…

In Alice in Wonderland,

everything is very concrete,

but like in the form of a nightmare.

It's concrete in the way things are concrete in a dream.

They transform from one moment to the other.

And the dialogue, which seems rational,

with the creatures of this world

is, of course, absurd.

But readers, through Alice,

who's a rational girl,

who demands logic to these absurd adults she encounters,

through Alice readers find their route.

And then this absurd world becomes real.

When the Cheshire Cat tells Alice

that in any route she chooses she will always find the insane,

because we're all mad here…

The reader recognizes his world because we're all mad here.

They are two manners of depicting reality,

like a dialogue between Dante and the souls from beyond,

who speak of right here and now.

And Alice's nightmare,

who encounters mad beings

who also speak about here and now.

Literature is always contemporary.

Why Are We Ticklish? - Duration: 4:30.

Okay, think of the last time you were physically tickled.

Whether it was done by a friend or family member, they were probably trying to make

you laugh.

But for most of us, especially the most ticklish among us, being tickled isn't necessarily

fun, or funny.

So why do we laugh?

And where did this whole bizarre reflex come from?

Tickling actually refers to two different types of sensations.

A light tickling, like when something just barely brushes your skin and makes you want

to scratch or rub the area.

This is called Knismesis, or a moving itch.

And it has a helpful role: like if you have an insect on you, your response to that tickling

sensation can help get it off quickly and prevent a bite

But when we talk about tickling, we're usually talking about the other sensation: where someone

touches you with more pressure, causing you to laugh involuntarily.

This is called Gargalesis, and some people are more susceptible to it than others.

While we don't know exactly why, we have some ideas.

Most people are ticklish in areas like the neck, ribs, inner thighs, knees, or feet,

but these aren't the most sensitive areas of the body.

If being tickled was based on sensitivity, people should be ticklish on their face, or

the palms of their hands.

Instead, our ticklish areas are the ones most vulnerable if we're in a fight or being

attacked.

So, tickling may be evolution's way of teaching even very young children to protect their

weak points.

This also explains why we can't tickle ourselves.

It's hard to attack yourself when we can predict the outcome of our own actions.

Being able to tickle yourself would serve no evolutionary purpose.

What this doesn't tell us, is why we laugh when we're tickled.

But think about it: imagine tickling a kid, and they start screaming and crying.

You'd probably stop, right?

But laughter is fun!

Scientists think the laughter response is to encourage tickling, and the self-defense

training that comes with it.

And it's not just humans who participate in this strange activity.

Other great apes make a laugh-like noise when tickled, which is thought to be the evolutionary

precursor to human laughter.

But you can also tickle meerkats, owls, penguins, or rats.

These animals let out laugh-like noises, and most of them seem to enjoy it.

One study found that young rats love being tickled and will seek it out, but female rats

find it aversive as they get older, and will start to avoid it.

This behaviour sounds pretty similar to what we see in humans.

Kids can find being tickled entertaining, but many adults don't like being tickled

at all.

The involuntary laughter is uncomfortable, or even painful, an experience that's supported

by brain scans.

A research group in Germany put a bunch of people in an fMRI to study the differences

between ticklish laughter and voluntary laughter.

And only ticklish laughter activated the hypothalamus, which is responsible for visceral or involuntary

reactions.

Also, ticklish laughter activated parts of the brain responsible for pain anticipation.

So just because you're laughing, doesn't mean you're having a good time.

It turns out, the natural and common reflex to tickling is surprisingly complicated, and

individual opinions on the experience are surprisingly varied.

Are you ticklish?

Do you like being tickled?

Tell us about it in the comment section!

Always Zen ...

[Interview] - How has this junction there, Zen to always happen?

The formation of always Zen, is ... as John said ...

we've played, me and John, already we played in a rock band

Always before the formation of Zen, I had an idea as well, had some compositions already made

and as John said we played one rock, only we did not play one rock at a fixed style of rock

liked to vary, if we had music that sounded slow one estiga with the highest and consequently also had reggae.

Who likes music rises for music do not want, can not stop, can not get away from music.

With these charts compositions, let's say in the fridge ...

estiga the shaft of reggae. The Always Zen was not a thing just once formed, has catching piece by piece

I and John on drums, then entered the bassist, there then came the two guitarists and consequently it

and today we have always Zen.

- And you are a new band, which difficulties you had to face now

very beginning ... You are right last year, Training was last year

what difficulties you have already found that there new road you are walking?

- The music world is a very hard world and all the bands they go through ...

many difficulties in the course of your walk

and reggae with reggae scene in Pernambuco, is no different

people usually talk much that is independent band, I am independent, we ...

Lives of the costs themselves, I usually say that we is a dependent band, we depend on it for ...

things work, to make things right deem. We need ourselves,

we need to be united,

for things to happen ... We need public acceptance,

to make sustainable work, we need spaces like the cane broth

which is wonderful, to put our sound to be released, so ...

We depend on a number of things to make things happen, and thank God that he has been going very well.

[Jah Love] always Zen

I believe in you Because I know that you also believe me

You have to believe to know How good when I'm thinking like

You have to believe to know How good when I'm thinking like

You are the gift that God gave me And nothing will shake me

It was a dream But when I woke up I saw the best reality

I want to sail In the waters of your March

And being able to find you A place better ...

So close to the sun (-As close to the sun)

The peace and the love of Jah!

Tempo or speed markings - How to read and write sheet music #06 - Duration: 3:17.

Welcome to your musical language lessons

My name is Eilish San and today we're going to talk

about tempo or speed in music

Tempo is the speed at which

a musical composition is played

This is usually represented

in two different ways, with one or more

words or with a numerical value

In the older compositions

we will only find the words,

whereas in more recent ones, it is more likely

that only the numerical value or the two forms together

The numerical value, which is the way

to represent the tempo of a song

in modern western music, is the value

of beats per minute as it would be introduced

in a metronome

For example, in this case, you have heard

a metronome at 120 beats per minute,

or bpm as it usually appears in most

metronomes and music software

In addition to the numerical value it must be specified

what is the equivalence for each beat

In this case it is a crotchet or quarter per minute,

although another value could be indicated,

such as quaver or eighth, or dotted crotchet or dotted quarter per minute

Usually this value is the same

as the time signature

If the time signature is based on eighth notes,

such as five-eight time, the speed

will normally come in eighth notes

If the time signature is based on quarter notes,

such as a three-four time, the speed

will also come in quarter notes

In common ternary subdivision

time signatures, such as six-eight time,

speed can come in dotted quarter notes

And how was it measured before the invention of the metronome?

Or at times when you can not use

a metronome, like in a symphony orchestra?

Formerly, words were used in Italian

to define an approximate tempo for a song,

which was then applied to the taste

of the performer or conductor

For example, a Largo can go from 40 to 60 bpm,

an Andante can go from 76 to 108 bpm

and an Allegro can go from 120 to 168 bpm

There are also tempo modifiers,

such as "non troppo"

An "Allegro ma non troppo" literally means

"fast but not too much", indicating that

it is closer to the 120 from the Allegro than the 168

We can also find indications

that there is no definite tempo, but the play

is played at the tempo the interpreter sees fit,

such as "A piacere", to pleasure

This will not normally be indicated

for a complete play, but rather

for a fragment of it

If after an "A piacere" we find

"A tempo", it indicates that we must return to

the original tempo before the "A piacere"

We can also find words

that indicate the mood

of a composition, such as Dolce,

a piece touched with sweetness,

or Energico, with energy

Finally we can also find

indicators of a gradual change in the tempo

of the composition, such as Accelerando

or its abbreviation "accel.", increasingly faster,

or Ritardando or its abbreviation "rit.",

increasingly slower

So far everything related to

tempo or speed in music, any

doubt or thing that you want to share remember

to leave it in the comments

I hope that you like this video, that you find it useful and I'll see you in the next video

Storytelling

I want you to know Bertie.

This is Bertie.

He used to have

dirty habits.

If Bertie saw a sweet on the floor,

he would pick it up

and eat it.

But Bertie's mum would shout:

No, Bertie! Thats's dirty, Bertie!

If Bertie had a bogey up his nose,

he'd try to pick it out.

But Bertie's dad would shout

No, Bertie! Thats's dirty, Bertie!

A Tino loved to catch worms

Bertie liked to go hunting for slugs and worms in the garden, and play with them

But Bertie's big sister, Suzy, would shout

No, Bertie! Thats's dirty, Bertie!

Sometimes, Bertie's dog would lick his face,

so Bertie would lick him back.

But Bertie's gran would shout

No, Bertie! Thats's dirty, Bertie!

If Bertie saw his cat do a wee

on the flowerbed,

Bertie would do a wee on the flowerbed too.

But everyone would shout

No, Bertie! Thats's dirty, Bertie!

Bertie soon learned not to wee

in the flowerbed.

or play with slugs and worns

or eat sweets off the floor

or even lick the dog's face...

But there is one dirty habit that Bertie cannot stop!

When no one is looking,

he still picks bogeys out of his nose

And sometimes…

he eats them

Yuck!

Me and Uzi be in the studio together at all times and we just be knowing. We're a team.

I was in the studio and I was with Pierre and I just met him. He came through.

Matter of fact, he didn't even come through the night I made the song.

I had his beat and I think somebody threw it on snapchat and he reposted on his gram.

I was like "this the dude, right here."

I just feel like people thought I was sleep and I was actually woke. That's what it's about.

Deadass. I feel like i have to give something.

It's time to give the people something else to bite. Done with the old shit.

Now we're on this shit.

Ate up the old shit. Now we got to eat up this shit. Still waking up to ni**as sounding like me.

Shooting like a movie. Therefore I'm Spike Lee, though. My draco is a movie. My draco is Spike Lee.

I don't like to fight. I'm a pretty boy. At this point I shouldn't be fighting. So you better bring a pipe.

That's how I feel.

I didn't spend 100 on a watch. I spent 100 on bracelets. Uzi spent 100 on a watch.

That's the life we live. Lifestyle. Who doesn't? Everybody's got to fall in love with somebody, right?

I got hit by a bus, bro. When I was a young nigga and that was probably the last time I was driving.

Being in Atlanta all you can do is drive and I started driving at 14 so I went through a lot of cars.

Mercedes. Volkswagens. Everything.

I don't think kids should drive and do lean. Don't do that. Just keep that in the raps.

I got my eye on a bunch of cars right now. I think I want to get the new Vet.

The 2017 vet. That's the new car I want.

Nah, I just feel like it gets real dangerous. Females...

Just feel like they go out they way sometimes and a lot of females chase me so I just be hiding, ducking.

Whatever you want, we got.

You know, I love females. That's my thing.

Being from Atlanta. Everybody has guns.

And I most definitely had a gun before I got a chain.

You know, that's what everybody asks me. It's just one of my homegirls. Shout out to GiGi.

The Most Terrible Things The Power Rangers Have Ever Done - Duration: 8:32.

When you look back on the original Power Rangers, it may be surprising that the show ever attracted

any controversy. It was charmingly goofy, and it starred a bunch of kids who were basically

the biggest nerds in the world — whether they knew it or not.

"Alpha! Rita's escaped. Recruit a team of teenagers with attitude!"

After the show became a hit, American parents complained to the FCC, claiming that the show

was too violent for children, while Canadian adults got Power Rangers removed from the

airwaves on multiple networks. If only they knew... While Power Rangers' fight scenes

look relatively tame by today's standards, the Rangers themselves aren't the squeaky-clean

heroes that everybody thinks they are. Sure, the galaxy needs saving, but are these delinquents

really the best ones to do it? We're not so sure.

Red Ranger, gambling addict

Things started going south for the Rangers as early as the second Red Ranger, Rocky,

who decided that saving the world wasn't nearly as important as… playing with a Pachinko

machine?

"A what machine?"

"A Pachinko machine."

In the episode "Rocky Just Wants to Have Fun," Ernie installs a Pachinko machine in the Angel

Grove Youth Center, not understanding that it's basically an addictive gambling device.

Rocky is immediately hooked. Lord Zedd picks up on Rocky's fascination and curses the teen,

making him obsessed with the thing, causing him to forsake his monster-fighting responsibilities.

"Yeah… c'mon, c'mon. YES! ALRIGHT! Heh heh, yeah."

Eventually, Rocky's gambling problem ends in tragedy, as he and all of the other Rangers

are transformed into Pachinko balls by one of Lord Zedd's Pachinko monsters.

"Whoa, I'll bet he knows how to have fun!"

Alpha manages to reverse the spell, restores Rocky and his teammates to their regular forms,

and Rocky kicks his addiction in the aftermath… much to Ernie's dismay.

The racist Ranger

If you're attacked by horrible monsters every few days, and still take the time to understand

the heart inside of those monsters, that's when you're a true hero. But Time Force's

Quantum Ranger and resident jerkbag, Eric Myers, didn't get the memo.

There's a fine line between lovable rogue and space racist, and Eric crosses it in the

episode "Trip Takes a Stand." Like he normally does, the villainous Ransik employs a criminal

mutant to help him destroy the Power Rangers… except the creature he frees, Notacon, has

absolutely no interest in fighting. Notacon's terrible crime? Stealing veggies to feed his

family.

"I'm not a violent a violent mutant! I was only put in jail for petty theft!"

"Petty theft?!"

That doesn't stop the Quantum Ranger from trying to kill Notacon and anyone who's protecting

him. In this case, that means sucker punching Power Rangers. The Quantum Ranger doesn't

care about Notacon's minor crimes. Notacon is a mutant, and just too weird-looking to

possibly be nice.

"You think they deserve the same justice we do? Why? They're not even human! Look at him…

he's a --- a freak! "

Harsh. Eventually, Eric backs down, but only after the Green Ranger gives him a stern lecture

about prejudice. Eric still warns them that the next time they defend a mutant, he won't

be so kind. So is Eric a killer? Maybe not. Is he prejudiced? Oh, heck yes.

Zordon's Christmas kidnapping

What started as a marketing tool to try and sell some more Alpha toys ended up becoming

one of the most-reviled holiday specials this side of Star Wars. Alpha's Magical Christmas

is considered a low point, even in the already low-budget world of the Power Rangers.

When Alpha gets lonely because the Rangers are too busy helping Santa load his sleigh,

Zordon takes some pretty extreme measures.

"But I've made arrangements for you to have some company tonight. Push the green button

on the console and get ready from some Christmas magic."

While it was one thing to abduct teenagers with attitude to save the world, it's another

thing to pluck random children from around the world to provide a lonely robot with some

company.

To their credit, the kids put on pretty brave faces, especially considering that they were

just abducted by a head in a tube. But as Alpha's Magical Christmas limps along, the

cracks start to show. The youths' performance of "I'll Be Home for Christmas" is a pretty

clear indication that they'd rather be anywhere else...like, say, home? They're out of the

Command Center as soon as Zordon mercifully opens a portal, and viewers are left hoping

that they have a big box of therapy waiting for them under the tree.

Rita Repulsa's repulsive love potion

While Lord Zedd is taking a brief nap to recharge, which he has to do every hundred years, the

evil Rita Repulsa escapes from exile. With her opposition out of commission, she decides

to whip up a "love potion" to bend Zedd to her will — not so much because she has the

hots for Zedd's well-developed bod and completely exposed brain, but because she thinks that,

with Zedd by her side, she'll finally be able to destroy the Power Rangers and control the

universe.

The boundary that separates science and magic is pretty flexible in Power Rangers, but it's

clear that her marriage is based on a drug-fueled deception. The potion doesn't work quite as

well as Rita hopes, but the wedding proceeds as planned, and in true Power Rangers fashion,

the newlyweds decide to forgo traditional honeymoon activities and instead team up for

the one activity that gets them both hot and bothered: murdering super-teens.

The Navy Ranger's friendly fire

The Power Rangers spend a lot of time under mind control, but Power Rangers Ninja Storm's

"I Love Lothor" episode is a particularly egregious example, and not just because it

comes back to more creepy love potions. While Ninja Storm's big bad Lothor is busy starring

in a family sitcom that also happens to brainwash teenage girls into falling in love him, a

totally separate love spell messes with the ranks of Rangers.

Blake, the Navy Thunder Ranger, and Cam, the Green Samurai Ranger, spend the episode lusting

after their teammate Tori. And by the end, they're just straight-up fighting each other.

But that's not what makes the episode so creepy.

Tori's not into it, magic spell or not, and has to forcefully tell both of them to back

off numerous times. Blake has a crush on Tori before the love spell hits, so you can't chalk

his aggressive, stalker-y behavior up to drugs or spells or dehydration. That's just, y'know,

how he is. Maybe that's the kind of thing that happens when you cram a whole bunch of

weirdly aggressive teenagers into a small space.

The Red Ranger's baby brawl

Power Rangers RPM already has a reputation for being the "dark" season of Power Rangers,

since it begins in a post-apocalyptic world where a computer virus has wiped out almost

all of humanity. It gets even more morose in the episode "Ranger Red," which begins

with the most memorable fight scene in Rangers history.

Don't worry, the baby is fine, although not for a lack of trying. If it's not totally

clear, that's a Power Ranger using a stroller with a baby inside to assault some henchmen.

All that, and it doesn't even work: one of the Grinders gets its hands on the baby anyway,

forcing Scott to unleash a spinning kick that knocks the robot off its feet and sends the

baby hurtling through the air. While "gently spin-kicking a baby to safety" just isn't

something that was taught in Angel Grove, it seems to come in handy.

Zordon's chronic laziness

Real Power Rangers fans know that "Countdown to Destruction," the finale of Power Rangers

in Space, was supposed to be the very end of the Power Rangers franchise,

wrapping up pretty much every plot thread that the show introduced up to that point.

In the episode's action-packed conclusion, the Red Ranger Andros and his team fight to

save the universe from the United Alliance of Evil, an organization formed by every villain

in Power Rangers history.

In order to stop the Alliance's forces, Andros is forced to kill Zordon by breaking his tube,

which sends an energy wave across the galaxy that turns most of the monsters into bad Photoshop

filters, transforms a few more into yuppies, and wipes out all alien threats for good.

"I'm alive!"

But if Zordon had that kind of power all along, why didn't he use it? That would be better

than tracking down teenagers and forcing them to put their lives in danger to fight off

monsters, aliens, and all other kinds of nasty creatures, right? Zordon even admits that

only he has the power to really fix, well, anything.

"Shatter my energy tube."

"No!"

"Only the good energy from my tube can destroy the forces of evil."

Zordon doesn't have to answer for his crimes, given that he's already dead, and everyone

is so relieved that the crisis is over that they don't ask the really difficult questions.

Was Zordon saving the world, or just saving himself? Maybe you shouldn't trust a giant

floating head just because he gives you giant dinosaur robots, guys.

#AQJTM 26: All about networking - Duration: 6:23.

(upbeat dubstep music)

- Hey everybody, this is Episode 26 of Answers to Questions.

I'm John T. Meyer, and this episode is all about networking.

So the topic of networking came up because it's mid-March,

which is South by Southwest time,

and the Lemonly origin story actually involves networking

at South by Southwest.

So the year is 2011,

and I meet a guy by the name of Adam Hofmann.

He had just left the Kauffman Foundation

to help a new startup called Zaarly.

I met Adam at South by Southwest, we connected on Facebook,

and about a month later,

he wrote the following Facebook post.

So to make a long story short, we started working with Adam

and the team at Zaarly, we did some stickers,

and we did some t-shirts, some really rushed design work,

which led to our first infographic project,

which led to a contract to do a handful of infographics,

and the birth of Lemonly.

So networking can be impactful, so let's get

right to all our questions today about networking.

So the first question comes in from Emily, via email.

She says "I'm an entrepreneur, but I'm also an introvert.

"Is networking essential to growing my business?"

I don't think you're the only person

who feels that way, Emily.

I would say networking isn't required to grow your business.

Certainly it depends on your position, right?

Some roles, some people have to be

a little bit more external, more networking,

and others can probably be a bit more behind-scenes.

But I would push you, and kind of urge you to consider,

kind of stretching yourself a little bit,

and try to network, even if you are an introvert.

And today now there's so many different types

of networking events, and I'm talking about in-person,

face-to-face networking, not social media,

but you can pick whatever feels right to you.

Like we do 1 Million Cups here in Sioux Falls,

which is about 75 people getting together,

having a cup of coffee, and listening to a speaker.

So all you have to do is show up, grab some coffee,

and sit down, and just introduce yourself

to the people sitting next to you.

So start where you feel comfortable,

but also don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone.

You don't have to go speed dating,

and network every single person out there,

but continue to push yourself, stretch yourself,

and see where it goes.

Because it could lead to a new business venture.

All right, our second question comes from Jacob.

He says "John, I just got back from a conference,

"and I have a ton of business cards.

"What do you do with a stack of business cards?"

Well Jacob, I have a stack over there,

which I probably need to get to.

I'm not great at entering all of the contacts

into my CRM, or some sorta database.

I used to use an app called CardMunch, I think,

which LinkedIn acquired, but you could take a picture

of the business card and then it'll immediately reach out

to that person and connect on LinkedIn.

I do try to use LinkedIn for meetings with clients,

or people I meet that I wanna follow up with.

I just reach out and say "Can you connect on LinkedIn?"

when it's timely and relevant.

But don't worry so much about the cards.

What I would focus on is master the follow-up, Jacob.

So you get your business cards, you come back,

you sort 'em out, the ones you really wanna talk to,

and follow up, sooner then later, right?

Personal email, maybe a handwritten thank you note,

that goes a long way,

and really will help you distinguish yourself.

So really be aware of the follow-up, sort them out,

and master that, because that will make the most impact,

where they'll really think back and be like "Oh yeah,

"I remember meeting that person at that conference."

And who knows where it goes from there?

All right, so we got two questions about networking,

then I thought I would add in my tips

that I try to use for networking.

So here are my four tips to networking.

Tip #1: Look people in the eye.

I know this sounds like just basic speaking,

public speaking, personal communication 101,

but not that many people do it.

And lock in and actually focus on people.

I think that goes a long way.

And don't be too distracted on "Who else is in the room?"

or "Who am I going to go talk to next?"

Because if you're the person on the receiving end of that,

you can feel it, you can tell the person's disinterested,

or more interested in talking to someone else.

My second tip is to let the other person talk.

In fact, I would say try to let them win the conversation.

Let them talk more than you.

Ask questions, engage with them, and then stop.

Don't go too long on your answers or your replies.

If someone walks away feeling like they talked a lot,

they probably feel like they really enjoyed meeting you,

even though they were the one doing most of the talking.

The third tip, which is my secret question,

is to ask "Where are you from?"

I love asking that question, because it invokes

different responses depending on the person.

Some people will say "Oh, I'm from Lemonly."

Some people will say "I'm from Sioux Falls."

And wherever the answer they take that kinda helps me

decipher a little bit what they wanna talk about,

and where we can take that conversation.

"Oh, tell me more about Lemonly."

Or "Sioux Falls, my grandmother used to live there."

Wherever the conversation goes,

based on how they answer that, kinda gives you a leg up,

and then hopefully if you have a grandmother in Sioux Falls,

or a cousin who used to work in Detroit,

you can make a connection, and then kinda share a moment.

And my fourth tip to networking

on any one-on-one interaction or connection is to give more.

Try to make the other person

feel like they left with something.

And it might not be right in that moment,

but grab a business card, make an introduction,

if someone says "I really am looking for some help

"with growing my sales team," make an email intro

to the person you know who's best at sales.

Or "I'm looking for a CPA," you can make an introduction,

or share an article about "Five Ways to Find the Right CPA."

Whatever the person is looking for,

or whatever insight that you can kinda glean

from that connection or conversation,

remember that, tuck it away, and then give.

Give, give, give.

Because if you're networking well, they'll remember you,

and then when you need something in return,

they'll be ready to help you out.

So those are my tips to networking,

and all the questions we have for this week,

for Episode 26 on networking.

Our Question of the Week, this'll be funny,

Do you have any don'ts for networking,

or maybe your most awkward encounter or funny story

regarding networking?

We'd love to hear it, and don't worry,

we won't share it on a future episode,

but we'd love to hear it.

If you have any questions

for a future episode of Answers to Questions,

A R I Z O N A - Electric Touch (Lyrics / Lyric Video) - Duration: 3:18.

Give me your electric touch, oh oh

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Give me your electric touch, oh

So give me your electric touch, oh

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Give me your electric touch, oh

Give me your electric touch, oh

So give me your electric touch, oh

I just wanna be in your existence

Oh, I-I-I, I don't wanna think about the distance

And give me your electric touch

Hold me in the dark, turn the lights down

Oh, I-I-I, I wanna get lost in the night now

If it brings me back to you

or if you need to win, then I will lose

If you need it

and I'll give into you

Give into me, give into me

we used to do

All the things, remember all the things

Give me your electric touch, oh

So give me your electric touch, oh

I just wanna be in your existence

Oh, I-I-I, I don't wanna think about the distance

And give me your electric touch

Hold me in the dark, turn the lights down

Oh, I-I-I, I wanna get lost in the night now

Give 'em all to me

take all of the emotions that you feel

Take your pain

Let's not go down like this

Who said it first?

that we keep hearing with

Pause all these words, pause all these words

An Easy Warmup Practice - Piano Lessons (Pianote) - Duration: 3:58.

- Hey everybody, Jordan from Pianote here.

This lesson is a quick practice tip to get all of your

fingers warmed up in an even, consistent way.

You can use this before every practice session,

just to get yourself ready, and loose, and prepared to play.

So we're gonna show you an exercise at 80 BPM,

but before we do that, I'm just gonna show you

exactly what your hands are gonna be doing.

So, we're gonna start in the key of C.

And our hand motion is gonna be this.

So, we're kinda jumping up by thirds here.

We're using all five fingers, we have our thumb on C,

our pinky on G, and then we have that also in the left hand.

And we're going up from C to E

to D to F,

E, G,

E, F,

D, E, C.

Alright, so we're taking that motion and we're actually

gonna walk up all the white keys on the piano with this

motion, but for every time that we shift up one key,

we're gonna be assuming that we're working

in that new key signature.

In other words, when we start off in the key of C,

we're just playing that same pattern

with all the white keys.

And now we're gonna move up to D,

but this time we have F sharp.

Because that's in the key signature of D major,

and we're gonna do that same motion.

And then we're gonna move up to E.

Up to F.

And so on, and so on, until we get up to our high C.

So I'll demonstrate that now with the click.

You can follow along at home and

I'll walk you through the whole process.

Alright, so we're gonna start in the key of C.

We're gonna go up to D.

Then up to E.

Make sure that you're playing each note nice and even.

You wanna strike each finger individually.

Up to F.

Then up to G.

Up to A.

Then up to B.

B feels kinda weird, 'cause we got all these black keys.

Alright, so that's just a simple warmup routine that I

still like to use just to get all my hands and fingers

nice and loose and ready to go to start my practice session.

If you wanna learn anything else about the piano,

be sure to check us out at Pianote.com.

Thanks for watching this lesson,

and we'll see ya there.
