Youtube daily report Jun 8 2017

Every aspect of our lives has been reshaped by technology.

From the way we get around, the way we seek information, and the way we communicate.

It's easy to think that if only our technology advances enough, we'll finally be satisfied.

The fact is, we remain shackled by our primitive Darwinian brains.

Humanity, for whatever progress we have made,

is the result of an unguided, natural, 3.8 billion year long experiment

of chemistry.

Evolution is the process that has made you what you are.

But it is not farseeing. It does not, and can not, consider the future,

make decisions about where we ought to go, how we ought to be.

Passing on genes is the only objective.

But as thinking human beings, we care about far more than that.

Consciousness means that we have the capacity to experience the world,

to reflect upon, and - most importantly - to shape it.

And so, what begins as Humanism - our most sympathetic understanding and treatment of human nature -

becomes Transhumanism - the drive to fundamentally revolutionise what

it means to be human by way of technological advancements.

Changing human nature might be the most dangerous idea in all of human history,

or perhaps the most liberating.

Generally speaking, Transhumanist thought does two things:

First, it considers current trends to see how future technologies will develop, and how they might affect us.

Second, it calls for the use of current, and upcoming technology, to bring about beneficial societal change.

We'll examine three central areas of Transhumanist thought:

"superlongevity", "superintelligence" and "superwellbeing"

dubbed "the three supers" because of their extraordinary transformative potential.

So let's begin with a thought experiment to get your intuitions flowing:

Consider this: An evil organisation creates an airborne virus.

It infects you - and the entire human race.

As a result, 100,000 people are dying every day.

Within thirty years, one in seven - a billion people - will have died because of the virus.

Now, how much money should world leaders put into research to develop an antidote?

How high on a list of global priorities would you rate this?

There is no denying the situation would be dire. Most people would demand immediate action.

But, hey, this is just a thought experiment, right?

Not quite.

100,000 people really do die everyday from diseases caused by

ageing!

But no-one treats ageing as a global priority...

So what explains this double standard?

Are we are simply resigned to death by ageing?

Aubrey de Grey, an expert in research on ageing, argues that our priorities are fundamentally skewed,

and that we must start thinking seriously about preventing the huge number of deaths due to ageing

the greatest cause of fatal diseases in the western world.

The goal of this strand of transhumanism is "superlongevity".

Today, we have the minds and the equipment to begin developing technologies to combat ageing.

Unfortunately, we lack the will and the financial support to do so.

Most of us are so accustomed to the idea of growing old that ageing seems like just a fact of life.

If modern medicine is supposed to keep us alive and healthy for as long as possible,

then the anti-aging movement takes medicine to its logical conclusion.

It's what happens when "as long as possible" means "as long as we want".

But what would a world without ageing look like?

How would we manage the huge population growth?

And who would own the technologies that make it possible?

These are huge questions, but we only have time to raise them.

We'll investigate them in depth, in future videos.

Let's move onto the next area of transhumanist thinking:

Every year computers are getting more powerful.

What used to fill up a room now fits in our pockets.

More crucially, the time it takes for computer power to double is also getting shorter.

At the outset of computing, the doubling process took 18 months,

and this interval appears to be getting smaller.

Plot this on a graph and it's not a straight line, but an exponential, upward curve.

We need only project into the future to see that there is a point at which this line is practically vertical:

A moment in human history referred to as the technological singularity.

The futurist thinker Ray Kurzweil postulates that as these technologies develop,

we will likely edit our bodies in order to integrate with computers more and more.

This concept should be familiar:

We're already in a symbiotic relationship with technology.

You can send your thoughts at incredible speeds to recipients on the other side of the planet,

find your precise location using satellites,

and access the world's repository of recorded human knowledge

with a device you carry with you at all times.

And all of this was unthinkable 20 years ago.

Out of this predicted computer capability explosion, may eventually come

Artificial Intelligence; a simulated consciousness in silicon.

Given the rate at which an AI will be able to improve itself, it will quickly become capable of thought with precision,

speed and intelligence presently inconceivable to the human mind.

If Kurzweil is right, and we end up integrating ourselves with technology,

we could be in private contact with this AI whenever we choose.

The result of this is that we effectively merge with this AI, and its abilities become our own.

This would propel the human race into a period of super-intelligence.

But, perhaps, as some argue, no non-biological computer could ever become conscious.

Or what if, as every other dystopian science fiction plot goes, this AI's goals differ from our own?

And what does our increasing reliance on computers mean for our future?

Super-longevity and super-intelligence are all well and good,

but only insofar as they make us happier, more fulfilled, more content.

Let's look at the last section, which deals with the issue of wellbeing.

Imagine you're soon to be a parent.

Your doctor informs you that, if you wanted, you could choose certain features of your child's biology.

You could choose how genetically prone to depression they will be,

their levels of anxiety, jealousy, anger, and even their pain threshold.

Would you choose a high likelihood of chronic depression?

An intolerably low pain threshold?

How about panic attacks and anxiety?

Probably not.

The last major branch of Transhumanism, spearheaded by philosopher David Pearce,

aims to investigate and phase out suffering.

He argues that ultimately, all our conscious states - our feelings, mood, and emotions

- are all an expression of our brain chemistry.

For Pearce, it is clear that natural selection hasn't designed us to be happy;

it's designed us to be good at surviving and passing on genes.

A species that is permanently anxious and discontented will have a higher motivation

to watch out for predators, and take precautions for survival.

But in today's world, these emotions are vicious.

Our biology has barely changed in 200,000 years,

which means that whilst culture and society has arguably made progress,

we are still those same aggressive, jealous, anxious savannah-dwelling hunter-gatherers.

This is why Pearce argues that if we ever hope to increase the wellbeing of our species,

we will have to edit our genes.

Minimizing our suffering - and the suffering of those we care about - is a crucial part of what drives us.

Hence, so called "abolitionists" argue that we start using modern technologies to do exactly that:

minimize and eventually abolish suffering, ushering in an era of so-called superwellbeing.

At present, every child is a roll of the genetic dice.

Pearce argues that the least we can do is load the dice in our favour,

to create happier, healthier, longer-living humans.

But might our compassion, curiosity, and pursuit of knowledge become secondary to our hedonism?

If we're all content - why visit the stars?

And isn't suffering sometimes a good thing?

These are three key areas of Transhumanist thought, and we've only begun to scratch the surface.

The three supers: superlongevity, superintelligence and superwellbeing,

might radically change human history if - or when - they are realized.

One of the main issues facing Transhumanist ideals is that they are seen as far-fetched

or perceived as just science fiction.

But this is a big mistake.

We are already transhuman.

We're living longer,

integrating more with technology,

and emphasising quality of life.

We're in the process of redesigning what it is to be human,

only the effects are still so subtle, and so slow, that it doesn't look like much.

But these changes will come faster and faster,

and it's only wise to be an active, informed participant in the next stage of human development.

Thanks for watching.

Dr Zakir Naik || Why not accepted our Supplications || Peace TV - Ramadan Special !! Episode-12 - Duration: 12:29.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam and humanity as Salaam walekum welcome back

to the show Ramadan date with dr. Zakia I am your

host Yusuf chambers and we shall be answering your questions on the topic

Ramadan the month of supplication and the month of repentance so doctor Zakia

welcome back to the show does the situation all the circumstances of the

supplicants have any bearing on whether or not allah accepts the doís as i

mentioned earlier that the situation or circumstance even if you ask allah

subhanaw taala he gets applicable of a novela but there

are certain situations which are preferable for example when a person is

fasting when it wasn't struggling when I just fuller when he supplicated or just

imam or a father supplicates for his son or daughter or a person with halal

earnings is implicit or it can be a person who prays institute as a beloved

prophet notion some said to mention is a hadith of Kedah maybe in the book of

supplication hadith number three five nine eight the Prophet said the prayer

of three people is never rejected number one is I just ruler or Imam number two a

person who's fasting especially big fit fast and number three is an oppressed

person and FML ha Jesus occurred earlier of al-bayhaqi hadith number 69 3 where

the Prophet said the prayer of think people is never rejected a father of any

place for a child a fasting person especially really big this fast and a

traveling person many priests so the article portion of Awesome these are

times which are preferred in a person supplicates as compared to us

thank you dr. Zakir and now we'll move to the next important point why is it

that some people do often when you're speaking to people they say oh my door

hasn't been answered you know this is a common statement by the Muslim brothers

and sisters you meet around the place why is it that certain supplications

perhaps are not answered there are certain criteria that required and many

a time the supplication is rejected because point number one

maybe the earning ha what is it in Haram did earning very he is driving all his

lifestyle maybe his business Haram we've been walled in RIBA usury increased he

may be dealing in a business which involves bribing may be dealing in a

business which it was lying cheating etc all these things which are little Haram

things that's the reason it one of the major reasons my supplication is not

answered number two maybe he is oppressing someone is causing oppression

whether the human being number three he may not be enjoining what is good and

may not be forbidding what is wrong which is a farm in Islam and there are

some other criteria required for a supplication be accepted and that is the

reason why most of them are ejected one is that we should not say that oh Allah

forgive me if you please o Allah bless me if you please or o Allah grant with

hostility please the vélib love is profit nonetheless and we said X

mentioned in say Buhari 1 number 9 in the book of tawheed Hadees number 7 477

where the perfect said they do not supplicate could not pray by saying that

o Allah forgive me if you wish oh allah grant me mercy if you wish o allah give

me from your bounty refurbish because allah subhana allah he does what He

wills and you cannot command him so saying such things is totally wrong

which many people do which is a big mistake that the reason supplication

unanswered further people many a time they give names to

allah subhanho wa taala which Allah never mentioned in the Quran

neither the Prophet using of the fascia did the caller love an apology

attributes and names which are not given by land vessel that is totally wrong by

supplicating furthermore many people when they supplicate they add on many

names and many things for example they say that please forgive my father

my grandfather my great-grandfather my mother my grandmother my

great-grandmother non-kill man to keep on you know that

become big lift instead of that is preferable to be brief and say that

please forgive my family or please forgive my relatives or my brother then

sisters in Islam that's sufficient and one of the other mistakes that people

make is they normally supplicate very loudly you know why loud supplicate the

Allah says in the Quran instead of Japanese seven worse than 55 that ask to

Allah subhana WA Ta'ala with humility and privacy unless in the next verse in

surah Araf the person was 56 that call to a lab with fear and loneliness so

these are the basic mistake that people make very supplicate and furthermore

many a times when we ask something from Allah subhana Allah we may follow all

the things but yet a last man does not answer appears Allah says in the Quran

in surah bakra chap number 2 worse than the 216 that you may dislike a thing

which may be good for you and you may like a thing which may not be good for

you Allah knows and you do not know there

may be a situation where a Muslim may pray to allah subhanaw taala

la da la semana dalla give me a motorcycle a BMW I want a BMW CC and

Allah does not under severe because Allah knows that if Allah gives them a

BMW he will go fast he may have accidentally fractured leg so Allah

subhana WA Ta'ala but not answering experienced actually answering him so

Allah subhana Allah is the knower of the unseen of the future so him a like a

thing which may not be good for you Allah knows and you do not know not

Jesus Allah here that means the next question is very

appropriate so could you now tell the viewers some authentic doors which are

good for them they can make in this month of Mercy the one hundreds of you

are the joking dick and if we can refer to the book fortification of Muslim

through this application from Quran and not simply hadith it's a book published

which have more than a hundred to us at the hundred gay men to be precise I just

mentioned a couple of them from the Quran and hadith is a request is that

the most general duaa which is there in the Quran in surah bakra chapter verse

number 200 month is RAB bana art in a fit when he hasnít of offal actually

has to token other than that oh my lord give us the good in this world and the

hereafter and save us from the torment of hellfire this is the general door

which is general and the best the various that was given in the Quran and

the dwell the Quran the best because this is the word of Allah subhanAllah

himself Allah says in surah al-e-imran chef Dimitri was debate Robin allotted

if alumina bad l had a donna Wahab lana min ladunka rama in the country Wahab

which means Oh Lord let not our hearts deviate after thou have guided us a

garden would see from the bounty for thou art the grantor of bounties the

other door which always making the starting of any lecture which is asking

for help for last mile problem which you can do in the beginning the speech of

and something which is very difficult it would war with musa alehsalaam made when

allah subhanallah last masala kana then go and give the message to firown' so

it's mentioning for a path chapter 20 verse 25 28 Rob Bashir is a dream where

Stanley Embry 100 could determine the funniest of Kali

which means oh my lord expand my bliss for me and make my task easy for me and

remove the impediment which is in my speech so that they will understand me

and you know musa alehsalaam you're the stammerer and has many people

aware that even I bring my childhood out of the Samara and we now sometimes

sample so that is the reason I read this Goa in

the beginning of every talk so musa alehsalaam asked at the last minute

allah to remove the impediment from a speech and furthermore so that they will

understand me and there is a barrier many a time between you and the person

whom you're giving the message so we played a last man out Tyler made that

berry berry blue therefore before every talk I supplicate so that the audience

is there in barrier between the audience and myself it is removed this was just

food was from Quran their favorite entity was even studied the other say

had attended maybe as well as the same big band but the perfect said that

anyone who says Subhan Allah would be hungry

which means lowly be to Allah and praise be to Allah then Allah subhana WA Ta'ala

will plant a date tree for the person entire life the other hadith it is they

mentioned in say Muslim book of ever hadith number 6 5:09

where the blood partners resin said that anyone who saved

subhan allah wa bihamdihi glory be to Allah and praise be to him if he mention

hundred times there's nothing more excellent for him on the day of judgment

under the resurrection nothing better than that except someone with a similar

word autumn roots have something better a similar hadith nation in say Bihari

world number eight had it number six four zero five where the beloved

posthumous lesson said that anyone who sees subhanallah wa bihamdihi glory be

to Allah and praise be to Allah hundred times his sins will be forgiven

even if his sins are equal to the form of the sea and there are very little in

the Hadid it also says in my muslim hadith number seven four nine that when

you hear the call of the morning then you have to pray and say that I justify

there is no one worthy of worship except allah subhanaw taala

and yet with no partners and preferred masala Salaam if the slave a messenger

of allah subhanaw taala and I'm pleased with my lord who's allah

subhanaw taala and i'm

with my messenger musa alehsalaam and I presume indeed Islam anyone who says

this his sins will be forgiven there are various such a deed for

example after the Salah break it appears you subhan allah wa alhamdulillah is a

lower but 300 times then you seem to be forgiven there are

other I did like after the obligate appeared is a element of Salam in

castellón tobacco relatively crammed and in travelling when we bore any

vehicle any plane in the car etc dois which a prophet I said that Subin and

Lizzie Sakhalin a Hazama bungalow mukla mean one in Nairobi naman kalamoon so

these were just a few samples of the authentic dwarf from the Quran and the

Philip Angelica Dulce sake as promised the cutting short the interview phase to

allow the viewers questions on the topic if you don't mind that is nervous

brothers and sisters join us after the break when we will be answering your

questions the viewers on the topic Ramadan the month of supplication and

repentance so don't go away do join us after the break feelings for

murder

DATING FINNISH PEOPLE | Part 2 [ENG Subs] - Duration: 4:03.

Hey, what's up guys? My name is Dave Cad

and today I've got a little bit of advice for ya, actually.

Last year I did a video about dating Finnish people and so one year later, I am actually

engaged to a Finnish person.

So, I feel like at this point I'm pretty much an expert to give advice on this stuff.

So here's a few tips for people if you are thinking about dating someone that's from Finland

Don't let any Finnish people see this, by the way...

Here we go.

Drinking...

Drinking is a pretty big part of the culture in Finland.

So if you can't handle your booze...

Probably best you look elsewhere for your partner.

Like for example, when you go to the sauna, they'll insist that you take a beer with you.

You've got to stay hydrated, it's a hot place...

Honestly, if you can't handle your drink, probably don't even set foot in Finland.

Just don't bother.

Go around it.

Speaking of consuming fluids.

Coffee.

If you don't like coffee you literally stand no chance in Finland.

If the Finns aren't drinking beer, they're drinking coffee, let's put it that way.

Coffee with breakfast.

Coffee with lunch.

Coffee somewhere in between there as well.

Coffee after lunch.

Pre-dinner coffee.

Post-dinner coffee...

That one's a bit naughty though.

Honestly, it's no wonder that the Finns drink the most coffee per capita in the entire world.

Hittin' you with them facts!

The next one is if you want to make a good impression when you first go into someone's house

Always take your shoes off because...

No matter where you're going you're going to need to go ahead and do that.

Now I know pretty much anywhere in the world you go it's always polite to either ask if

you need to take your shoes off, or just take your shoes off when you go into someone's home

But in Finland it's almost like it's against the law to go into someone's house with your shoes on

Don't even try it.

Honestly.

I'm pretty sure they've got the Police on speed dial just incase someone walks into

their home with their shoes on.

Sounds dramatic but it's pretty accurate.

OK, so, the language.

I've spoken about this a lot over the last couple of years, I've even tried my hand at learning

a little bit of it.

Maybe you're a little bit down the way with this person and you want to start impressing

them a little bit so you think that you're going to learn some Finnish.

Imma stop you right there.

Don't bother.

I think I read somewhere that it's in the top 5 most difficult languages for a native

English speaker to learn.

And most of the other languages have a completely different alphabet.

So, that's pretty messed up.

No matter how hard you try, you're never gonna learn it so just, don't.

Definitely learn a few words.

'Kiitos' is a good one.

'Thank you' of course.

And you'll always get a little sympathetic smile when you say 'kiitos' to someone, like,

"Awh, they're trying"

Ok, the next one is pretty much inevitable

but it's always good to be prepared.

And you need to prepare to get fat.

Because although the food is a little bit strange, it tastes SO good.

My favorite ever thing in Finland is 'maksalaatikko' which is basically just mashed up liver and

rice with raisins in a box.

And that sounds freakin' disgusting but I've literally never put anything more tasty in

my mouth ever...

Also, it seems like there's a pie for every occasion.

Wherever you go, there will be a pie.

And they're always SO GOOD.

Speaking of pies and cakes...

The Finns seem to celebrate pretty much anything, for example - Name days.

It turns out that everybody has a 'name day'.

On one day of the year you will have a specific day where you just celebrate being named something.

Honestly, it seems like the 'name day' is almost more important than the birthdays.

And God forbid if you forget a name day!

Birthdays you can get away with, that's just a number.

But don't you dare forget my name.

OK, so I think that's enough advice for you to be getting on with at this point.

If you haven't seen my first video, you should probably go and check that out, there's some

pretty important stuff over there too.

Anyway guys, thank you so much for watching, I hope you've enjoyed this video or maybe

found it helpful, either way I'll take it.

But if you have enjoyed it please go and click that 'like' button, it really helps me out.

And if you're new over here and you haven't seen my face before...

Hello, I'm Dave.

Nice to meet ya.

There's a lovely little subscribe button down there so if you click that it means you won't

miss any of my videos and who would want to do that?

No one is the answer.

In the description and in the cards I have links to my Instagram, Twitter and all my

social medias.

Maybe go and check those out as well, I don't know.

Anyway guys, thanks again for watching, and I'll see you next time.

See ya!

How to make a military style case - Duration: 4:17.

Welcome back.

You might be wondering what this is...

It's a 3D printing project made by a good friend and neighbor of mine.

It's one of the weapons you can find in one of the most famous shooter games, called Quake

3 Arena, released back in 2000.

I actually didn't know that game, but after seeing his magnificent printing project, I

thought about making a military case from the game.

You can see the finish better from up close.

You can barely notice the printer's passes, and this is only a prototype!

To make the box, I decided to use some left over pine paneling from another project.

I think this will make it easier and more affordable.

After taking measurements, I start cutting the material with my table saw.

The system will be as follows: glue pine strips reinforcing them with thinner perpendicular

strips until we obtain the required dimensions.

As you can see, I'll use the raw, "ugly" side of the board because

I'm aiming for an old, worn look.

Besides, the grooves in the paneling will give it a more realistic finish.

I continue assembling the box and lid with a nail gun, making sure everything is properly aligned.

Now it's time for the finish.

I'll use dark green paint.

The paint brings out the imperfections in the wood, giving the finish a more realistic quality.

Anyway, once the paint is dry, I'll sand the wood a couple of times to remove paint in

certain spots, giving it an older appearance.

Now I put all the fittings in place and attach a pair of rope handles.

I've also printed these letters with the name of the gun and some other numbers to paint on the box.

These little details make all the difference!

Finally, I'll try to darken some spots with a little black stain...

And here's the result.

If you want to see the 3D printing process and the fitting of the electronics, I'll post

a link to my friend's channel BricoGeek in the description.

There you can also see a lot more electronics projects.

See you soon!

are meant to eliminate downshifting mistakes

so you can't really see what you did wrong

and how the bike reacts with slipper clutch

so I am using this bike for demonstration

because this one doesn't have slipper clutch

alright, let's start

I watched last episode of 'Do Not Learn' on upshifting

so I kind of get it now

I need to ease off gas while upshifting. no problem

now I want to try downshifting

ah, downshifts. I know! I've seen other people do it

downshifting has that engine roar

ok, let me think about this

ok,pull in clutch and ease off gas then downshift

ok i know how to do it

eh? I can feel it, but there's this squeaky noise

alright, downshift1

what? what's that noise

strange. I've seen people on sportbikes do it

and they all sound pretty nice and smooth

maybe I am not fast enough

let me do it quickly

what's that chatter noise?

scared me there

what's going on?

or maybe I need to release clutch right away

eh? the screech noise is louder

alright, let me tell you what's going on

shifting quickly won't solve this problem

the problem is with your rear wheel and engine speed not matching

so under normal riding condition,

if you don't match the engine rpm and let go of clutch

the speed differential will lock on the rear tire

so what just happend is that

the rear tire kept locking up

for beginner rider, this is really dangerous

especially, when you lock up the rear tire

or you might be using rear brake at the same time

and locked the rear tire accidentally

if you are going straight, then no biggie

but if you slide out

basically, if your rear tire slides out

it's lowside

and if your tire caught traction again while sliding

you get high side

both are painful

very dangerous

so watch out on how you downshift

in my other videos, I talked about downshift and rev match

the purpoes of that

is to match engine speed

and elimiate the speed differential

when you downshift

it won't lock up the rear tire

and it'll be smoother too

like this

no more screech

like this, a crisp engine noise

downshifting is all about being smooth

try to prevent any sudden movement that upsets the bike

or it might cause handling issue

speaking of downshift and rev match

if you are an experienced rider

you might say

how about I adjust the clutch movement myself

without rev match and avoid locking up

yes, it's doable

if you are an experienced rider

you can modulate the clutch

in a faster pace or on the race track

some people use clutch alone to act like slipper clutch

but that's for experienced rider

takes time and practice

to master that technique

and to the average joes

it's quicker to master rev match

most bikes on the market

don't come with slipper clutch

and not all of them have Auto Blip

or quick shifter

and that type of feature

so downshift and rev match is a must learn

and then there's this good point on rev match

if rev match isn't important

why do quick shifter help you match the engine speed for you

quick shifter is meant for you to

shift without worrying about rev match and with computer precision

it gets to the best shift point all the time

ok, what about slipper clutch?

what does it do?

you saw how my bike chatter and lock up the rear tire

slipper clutch leverage

the design to help the plate slip out when it gets locked

so it moves without getting stuck ever

no more risk for locking up rear tires

at the same time

with slipper clutch, you might not

realize the mistakes you make when you ride

only on bikes without slipper clutch

will teach you about locking up rear tire

and the accidental slides

and upsetting bike movement

if you experience wheel lock before a turn

you'd probably poo your pants

wondering why is the bike all over the place

another common mistake with downshifting

excessively using engine break to slow down your bike

let's start

light is red

downshift

alright, I know how to downshift now

and also getting good with the clutch

feels like downshifting and engine brake are handy

just right

it's a single cylinder no doubt

pretty substantial engine brake

i can just let go of clutch and engine brake

haha I don't even need brakes!

I can even save money on new brakes!

...so...yea

why do you want to skimp out of brake pads

you are putting more stress on the engine and transmission, then your brake pads

that doens't sound right

if you want slow down ahd downshift

just

brake!

brake pads are much cheaper than transmission parts

why would anyone think excessive use of engine brake is good for slowing bike down?

now I need to slow then

just brake

and then when you feel the engine speed is coming down, just downshift back to first or neutrla

and then stop

that's all!

if you want to ride harder

and always want to downshift

each gear with high rpm

sure

just rev match!

sounds awesome, you feel good

and not that much of impact on the bike

when I ride

espeically when coming to a stop

like to this red light

i don't downshift and rev match

I only rev match when I am getting ready for a turn

set the right gear, then downshift and rev match

for example, I need to make a right

I'd only use downshift and rev match on something like this

or else if i need to stop

on the right

just brake first, then when the engine rpm comes down, just downshift all the way back to first

and then stop

and if your downshift gets stuck

make sure you properly shifted down

(let go gas first or at the same time), pull in clutch

downshift, give a little bit of gas, and then release clutch

some bikes have trouble with shifting

then you might need to pull in clutch twice

to make sure you are in gear

that's fine too

alright, I just demonstrated

the common mistakes on downshifting

that's it

if it's helpful, give me a thumbs up (like)

Thanks folks!

that's the sensor there

it's supposed to know I am on the left turning lane

but it can't detect motorcycles sometimes

awkward.....

since I didn't overcook the shrimp they've got such a nice texture

so I'm starting to run a bit low on curry sauce since I have some leftover in my pot I'll add it now

its probably an extra kilogram of sauce

even though I'm usually taking care to portion out the sauce while eating I always end up running out of sauce

since we used a lot of milk while making this its so very creamy

shrimp pair nicely with creamy things

~wonder why~

they especially go great in this curry its not too spicy

its a very creamy... almost soup-like curry sort of on the sweet and savory side

[PL/ENG/RU] O co chodzi z No Place Left? - Duration: 8:28.

Hi! Welcome to No Place Left Poland channel.

My name is Mateusz Kertowski

And I would like to share with you today a little bit about myself - what do I do, who I work with and how it all started.

So, I am missionary by God's calling, and I am working with E3 PARTNERS ministry.

This what I do is called No Place Left Poland

So why is it called No Place Left?

Let's open two passages from God's Word, and talk a little about that, so that I could show you a bigger context.

So, the first passage will be from Romans 15:17-25.

So Romans 15:17-25

In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God.

For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to bring the Gentiles to obedience—by word and deed,

by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God —so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ;

and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else's foundation,

but as it is written, "Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand."

This is the reason why I have so often been hindered from coming to you.

But now, since I no longer have any room for work in these regions, and since I have longed for many years to come to you,

I hope to see you in passing as I go to Spain, and to be helped on my journey there by you, once I have enjoyed your company for a while.

At present, however, I am going to Jerusalem bringing aid to the saints. (ESV)

Reading this passage we can see that Apostle Paul says

that the region from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum heard the Gospel.

And he also says that he was a part of this, so he didn't want to build on someone else's foundation.

To show you how big that region was, here you have a map of the land we are reading in the Bible about.

And here is Jerusalem (red cross on the map)

So this is the place that Paul says "from Jerusalem to Illyricum..."

And Illyricum is here (red selection).

So this is the region, that Paul is talking about saying that people there heard the Gospel.

Writing this letter to Romans the apostle Paul says: "Since I no longer have any room for work (a different translation says: There is No Place Left...)

which means there is no place left where the Gospel wasn't proclaimed.

There is no one who didn't hear the Gospel or there is no one who can't take the Gospel to other people in that region.

Another passage, which I'd love to read with you is from the book of Acts 19:7-10. But let's read Acts 19:1-10.

And it happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples.

And he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" And they said, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."

And he said, "Into what then were you baptized?" They said, "Into John's baptism."

And Paul said, "John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus."

On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.

There were about twelve men in all.

And he entered the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.

But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew from them and took the disciples with him, reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus.

This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks. (ESV)

So reading this passage we can see that the apostle Paul went to the synagogue

before that he met people who were disciples, and he asked them: ok... how were you baptized?

They answered: by baptism of John. Then Paul is explaining: All of that was about Jesus Christ, it's all about Him!

Then they believed and were baptized. Then he went to synagogue. There for 3 months he was teaching about God's word, the gospel and good news.

Then there were people who started saying evil things about his teaching and about the gospel. So what is apostle Paul doing?

He took the disciples and brought them to the hall of Tyrannus.

He spent there 2 years teaching disciples.

When we see Asia, because this passage is talking about Asia...

at that time in Asia could have lived 8-15 million people.

It's impressive. God's Word says that in 2 years all Asia heard the Gospel about Jesus Christ.

When reading this passage we see two things: The apostle Paul is teaching in the hall of Tyrannus, and within 2 years people heard the Gospel.

How did it happen?

In my opinion it was like this: the apostle Paul taught his disciples, and the disciples went with the gospel to others.

So all they learned from Paul they took with them and shared with others.

And this is No Place Left. A place where there is no place left to work. When I'm thinking about my city...

Around 52,000 - 55,000 people live here.

The city, where the local church which I am a member of is includes 219,000 people.

So it is around 260,000 - 270,000 people who need to hear the gospel.

So, my question is: Is it possible that in next 2 years

these 270,000 people will hear the gospel?

If yes, what is the obstacle that hinders them from hearing the gospel?

And this is my No Place Left. A place I'd love to start with, the place which I want to reach.

I want that in my city there was no one left who wouldn't have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Maybe when you're looking at that you're thinking: ok local church should go outside and share the gospel on the streets but

it's not for you because you're not gifted for it. So I would like to ask you to think about this channel as a hall of Tyranoss for you.

As the place where you'll be able to learn, to hear about how to share the gospel with others... and be encouraged.

As apostole Paul could share with his students so I'd love to share with you all that I learned, or to get messages from you - because there might be something you can teach me...

something I could include in my ministry.

So think about this channel as about this type of school, or about the boot camp because I would like to help you be prepared to a work that God is calling you to do.

So this is No Place Left, this is what I desire to share with others.

Thank you for being here, for spending your time watching this video.

If you are encouraged, and you're interested in more information, and more videos - subscribe this channel, because in next 2 months, once a week I'll share materials from my ministry here.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Take care!

See ya!

Mănăstirea BOGDANA Monastery (Radauti, Bucovina, Romania) - Duration: 5:53.

Opposite of Bogdana Monastery are the statue of Bogdan I and the Monument of the Heroes of the First World War

The Bogdana Monastery Church dates back to 1360 and has Saint Nicholas as patron (December 6)

The church was raised by the voivode Bogdan I (1359 -1365), the founder of the feudal state of Moldova

It is considered to be the oldest stone-wall Moldovan church

The church served as a voievodal necropolis, from the founder Bogdan I to Alexander the Good (1400-1432)

The bell tower, built in 1781

The church of Saint Hierarch Leontie from Radauti and cells, all since 1998

The Parish House, built in 1876

From the 15th century, the church became episcopal residence

In 1559, during the reign of Alexandru Lapusneanu, the church was restored

Also at that time a closed porch was built and the roof was modified

In the 18th and early 19th centuries, many church works were copied here

Between 1775 and 1918 Bucovina was occupied by the Habsburg Empire

In 1781 this bell-tower was built

The following year (1782), the Episcopate was moved to Chernivtsi

After another year, in 1783, the monastery was abolished, being transformed into a parish church

Some of the cells were demolished and others turned into stables for the Austrian garrison

After the reunification of Bucovina with Romania (1918) it continued to function as a parish church

The Bogdana Monastery with monks community was re-established in 1992, and a new church was built

The ambience reminds us of the secular forests in which the church was erected in 1360 by Bogdan I

Next to the church (in the picture) is the Parish House (1876), a historical monument

The new church (1998) is dedicated to Saint Leontie of Radauti, canonized in 1992

He was a few years old bishop here at the beginning of the 15th century, then took the path of the hermit's life

His miraculous relics are found exposed in a shrine in the narthex of old church

St. Nicholas Church, the first stone church in Moldova, is tall, with a sharp roof, without towers

The walls have thick walls of 1.40m and are supported by 10 buttress

"The Writing" in Slavonic language added in 1559 by Alexandru Lapusneanu after the building of the closed porch

The narthex and the nave seen from the porch

It is not known when and who did the original painting

The painting was supplemented and refreshed several times

There is this church store in the porch

In the narthex, in the northeastern corner, is the shrine of St. Leontie of Radauti, canonized in 1992

At the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century, the miraculous relics were placed in the nave

Also in the narthex, in the northwestern corner, there are two tombs

Near the shrine is the tomb of Mrs. Stana (the wife of Bogdan III and the mother of Sefanită Voda)

On the left is the tomb of Anastasia (the daughter of Latcu Voievod, 1365-1373, son of Bogdan I)

In the opposite corner is the tomb of Ioanichie, the first known bishop of Radauti, dead in 1504

We are in the nave which, like the narthex, is separated into three naves by massive square columns

The new oak-tree iconostasis dates back to 1996

The votive picture in the nave cannot be attributed with certainty

Because the church is represented without a porch, the main character could even be the founder, Bogdan I

The lateral sides of the nave have a lower height, above which small rooms

The light hardly penetrates through 11 small windows with the flared opening inward

Asia & Pacific: To protest against Modi, these Indians are cooking beef in public

KOZHIKODE, India — As soon as the evening call to prayer sounded over Kozhikode, a line formed along the esplanade. Volunteers started heaping food onto plates, cautious to keep the beef-to-rice ratio low, making sure there was enough to go around.

One man took out his smartphone to film the action; videos of beef-eating have been doing well on Facebook recently.

News cameras from local stations zoomed in on the slogans plastered on a nearby screen that read "our food our choice." In this sleepy, palm-fringed city in southern India, eating beef has become a political act.

On May 23, the Indian government introduced new anti-animal cruelty rules, restricting the sale of cattle in markets.

The move was widely interpreted as an attempt to close in on the country's thriving beef industry, in line with right-wing Hindu ideology, according to which the cow is considered holy.  Some think the new rules are too draconian.

For the past week here in the southern state of Kerala, people have gathered with pots and pans and firewood to cook beef and share it with strangers in the streets, a convivial form of protest.

Many Hindus, who usually avoid cooking or eating beef, have joined the feasts. At stake is the country's $4.3 billion beef industry, which provides 23 percent of the world's beef exports.

Since the government's new rules were introduced,  global beef prices have shot up and major brands such as Prada and Armani, which source leather from India, are concerned about the stability of their supply chains.    Small-time beef and leather traders will bear the brunt in India.

Most of them are Muslims and lowest-caste dalits — the people once called "untouchables" — since Hindus historically considered these jobs "unclean." According to Jayakumari Devika, associate professor and historian at the Center for Development Studies in Kerala, the new rules will allow large supermarket chains to control supply.  "Beef will become scarce," she said, "at least for the time being." But for many in Kerala, the new rules are more than an economic blunder.

To them, it epitomizes the arrogance of Hindu politicians in faraway New Delhi. "For you in the north, beef may be food," said Muhais Mohammed, one of those at Kozhikode's beach.

"For us, it is a deep-seated emotion." Since the election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cow ambulances, cow hostels and even a system of ID cards for tracking cows have been introduced in veneration of the sacred animal.

This bovine obsession hints at a bigger lurch toward the right in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

Protecting the "gau mata" — the cow mother — has long been on the agendas of Hindu supremacist groups such as the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, which has close links to the BJP and its ruling elite.

In Hindu tradition, eating beef is considered unscrupulous, to be left to the morally inferior.  Many say that the Modi government's anti-beef rhetoric has gone too far.

Some argue it is emboldening bands of cow protectors, known to maul and even kill people suspected of carrying beef.

In 2015, a mob dragged a man named Mohammad Akhlaq out of bed and beat him to death because they suspected he had slaughtered a calf.

In recent months, a man was harassed because he was suspected of carrying a bag made of cowhide. In another case, a dairy farmer transporting cattle from a market to his village was killed.

For Keralans, the Hinduism of the north is unrecognizable. Hindus here coexist peacefully with sizable Muslim and Christian minorities. They consider themselves ethnically and culturally different from those in the north. Beef is a staple part of the local cuisine and culture.

Even the state BJP here breaks with its northern allies on the issue; the state party promised better quality beef in a recent election campaign.

"Public education in Kerala plays a big role in creating harmony," said Biju Lal, a legal clerk and a Hindu who joined Muslims on the beach.

Kerala's ruling Communist Party has championed state education for decades, and government schools are attended by children from all social strata, encouraging communal mixing from an early age. "There are historical reasons, too," Lal added.

"Partition probably left a bigger mark in the north," referring to the separation of India and Pakistan in 1947 and the subsequent sectarian violence between Hindus and Muslims.

Since the ban, the hashtag #dravidanadu has trended on Twitter, calling for south India to break off from the north.

In the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu, students at the elite Indian Institute of Technology Madras wore black and ate meat in front of news cameras. At one beef party, an ox was slaughtered and the video was shared online.

Right-wing parties retaliated, throwing milk parties of their own, and carrying out vigilante attacks against protesters. On Kozhikode's beach, the feast lasted less than an hour, long enough to scrape a large pot of curry bare.

Danish Subair was traveling with his cousin through the city when he came across the celebration. "We also brought beef with us in our bag," he said.

"Everyone in Kerala is eating beef now. I have a friend who is big BJP supporter. Even he posted on Facebook yesterday about how much he loves beef." Taking cues from the south, states in eastern India are crying foul too.

In West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, a fierce critic of Modi, said that the government's passage of the rules using anti-animal cruelty laws was underhanded and amounted to federal interference in state decisions.

In Arunachal Pradesh, where the vast majority of people eat beef, Padi Richo, leader of the opposition Congress party, said the move was "dictatorial." "Even China doesn't do that," he said.

Modi, a strict vegetarian, spoke often about cow protection during his election campaign in 2014.

One of his slogans was "Vote Modi, give life to the cow."    In office, Modi has attempted to distance himself from the party's far right and position himself as a modern, business-friendly statesman who can open India up to world.

In 2016, he condemned overzealous cow protectors as "anti-social elements." But spurred by a recent electoral triumph in state elections, the BJP has become increasingly nationalistic.

In Uttar Pradesh, a hard-line Hindu cleric named Yogi Adityanath was appointed as chief minister and immediately launched a crackdown on illegal slaughterhouses, strangling the state's booming beef industry. He also initiated "anti-Romeo" squads to crack down on Western-style public displays of affection.

Arun Jaitley, the national minister of finance, suggested the beef protests were an overreaction to the government's rules. He said state laws would remain in effect.

The BJP, already weak in the south, is showing signs that it is alarmed by Kerala's reaction.

Party President Amit Shah swooped in over the weekend to do damage control, meeting with church leaders and party loyalists.  But for some, the government's efforts to restrict access to beef are a sign of darker things to come.

Referring to the largest ethnic group in Kerala, Devika said, "Beef has been a part of Malayali culture for many centuries.

If there was a move to deny something very normal to you, wouldn't you protest?"   Read more: Why do Indian politicians want to ban beef?
