Hi everyone, I am back with another transformation!
This basic Target dress which I bought for $7 at the thrift store will be flipped into
a fold over clutch.
I love the texture of the fabric and I think it'll work great as an accessory.
This dress was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn, it's itchy and stiff,
and I could barely put my hands on my waist.
So, let's make it into something amazing!
I am going to illustrate in a different style today.
I've seen so many minimalist fashion illustrations that really inspired me to do my own!
To begin, I sketched out the design on tracing paper and then transferred onto watercolor paper.
I have all my supplies out and now I am ready to roll!
I want this clutch to seem high end and modern but still have a casual quality.
To do this, I picked a satin fabric to pair with the dress and then I am going to add
a pleather detail to the front which would also double up as a strap to keep the clutch
folded.
I also want this to be functional so I am adding a pocket with a magnetic clasp to the back.
This way, you don't have to open up the clutch for the little things.
Which is something I look for in all the bags I buy!
More pockets the better.
This would be perfect for an evening out or even a wedding or formal event.
For the lady who you silently conquers with her pose and demeanor.
I want this clutch to make her feel powerful and put together.
Top this off with a cute zipper pull and maybe some copper accents and it's done!
Stay tuned next week for the construction and reveal of this clutch.
