Dems threaten to gum up Senate over 'secret' ObamaCare bill

Senate Democrats are threatening to grind the Senate to a halt in protest of Republicans

crafting their bill to repeal and replace ObamaCare behind closed doors.

"If Republicans won�t relent and debate their healthcare bill in the open for the

American people to see, then they shouldn�t expect business as usual in the Senate," said

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).

Schumer said Republicans are "drafting this bill in secret because they�re ashamed of

it, plain and simple."

A senior Senate Democratic aide said that starting on Monday evening, Democrats will

object to "all unanimous consent requests in the Senate," though there could be a narrow

exception for honorary resolutions."

If Democrats stick to the tactics, they will be able to block any committees from meeting

after the Senate has been in session for more than two hours.

Democrats are also holding a late-night talkathon from the Senate floor on Monday night, with

senators scheduled to give speeches against the GOP effort until at least midnight.

Democrats are expected to make a series of unanimous consent requests on Monday evening

on the House-passed ObamaCare repeal and replacement bill, including trying to send it to a Senate

committee and "forcing Republicans to publicly defend their 'no hearings strategy,' " according

to the senior Senate Democratic aide.

They have hounded Republicans over their legislation, which is still being hashed out in a series

of closed-door meetings.

"These are merely the first steps we�re prepared to take in order to shine a light

on this shameful TrumpCare bill and reveal to the public the GOP�s true intentions:

to give the uber-wealthy a tax break while making middle class Americans pay more for

less healthcare coverage," Schumer said.

In addition to giving floor speeches, Democrats will also "make a series of parliamentary

inquiries" to try to show the difference between the months of public negotiating that took

place over the Affordable Care Act and the GOP's process for its own healthcare bill.

The announcement comes at a time when Democrats are under growing pressure from outside liberal

groups to shut down the Senate floor, including blocking normal requests for committees to

meet, to slow down ObamaCare repeal.

Indivisible, a progressive advocacy group, is urging its members to ask Democratic senators

to "resist through procedure" by blocking routine committee hearings or filibustering

on the Senate floor."

"Your Senator can slow the Senate down to a crawl and focus attention to TrumpCare by

withholding his or her consent on legislative business," according to the group's June action

plan for stopping the GOP healthcare bill.

Center for American Progress's Topher Spiro made a similar suggestion earlier this month,

saying blue-state constituents could "ask Dem Senators to boycott all non-essential

(non-Russia) hearings until there's a public hearing on Trumpcare."

Democrats have previously used all-night floor speeches paired with social media to try to

build public support for their opposition to a policy or President Trump nominee.

Republicans have a narrow path to passing repeal-and-replace legislation through the

Senate.

They have 52 seats, meaning they can only afford to lose two GOP senators and let Vice

President Mike Pence break a tie.

You debut at a very young age.

How does it feel to spend so much of your life as an actress?

I have been acting for 14, 15 years.

But, I don't know...

I have this thought that

as an actress, how my life should be

and how Park Shin Hye, as a person, should live a life.

I have been involved in many projects.

I feel that I should focus on my life more.

Comparing to the time I spend on projects,

I value more on the time I spend for myself.

You've taken on a very wide range of works,

from the television drama "The Heirs"

to the social commentary movie "Miracle in Cell No. 7".

What propels you to take on a project?

How do you pick projects?

I will first consider whether I have played the role before.

Then I will think how and what the role can deliver to my fans.

You starred in a popular drama "Doctors" as doctor Yoo Hye Jung.

Can you tell us how did you prepare for the role?

And do you have any memorable scenes?

My role is a doctor in the drama.

So there are many medical terms in my lines.

I have to specially prepare for scenes like operations.

I have to rehearse how I approach an operation with my hands

and lines very specifically.

We've hired an actual medical doctor

to give us instructions on how to stitch in an operation.

I practice right after the instructions.

I think the beginning of a drama series is very crucial.

So I think the plot starts

with the scenes with my grandmother

in the drama, the late Kim Young Ae,

is most memorable for me.

Have you ever experienced a slump in your career?

When I had just enrolled in college,

I started focusing more in school life.

Meanwhile, I saw many artists become active

in attending various events.

There was one point of time I asked myself whether I should be

focusing more on my work life instead of on my school life.

I would consider that's the most difficult part of my career so far.

Looking back,

I think my school experience helps me a lot.

Have you ever regretted being an actress?

When I was in junior high to high school,

instant message technology

wasn't as advanced. It wasn't as closely attached

to daily life as now.

I have been feeling pressured

because my personal life is being exposed.

I have started learning to play golf,

so I can spend more time with my family.

John McCain has become one of the most detestable human beings ever to hold a seat in the US

Senate.

Now that he's old and senile, he has a hard time hiding his true nature.

And it's pure ugliness.

McCain could have offered condolences and been helpful to the family of Otto Warmbier,

the 22-year old who died just days after being released by North Korea.

Instead, the Arizona senator called the young man "stupid" and talked about finding

a way to absolve the government of his death.

Here's what McCain had to say (via AP):

"There should at least be a form for them to fill out that says, 'If I go to North

Korea, I understand I am taking great risk, and I do not hold the American government

responsible.

Now I hope the American government will help, etc., etc.

But I realize what has happened to previous American citizens, including their deaths.

"I would have that first because if people are that stupid that they still want to go

to that country then at least they assume the responsibility for their welfare."

In his remarks, Senator McCain shows no consideration for the family who lost their son.

Despite admitting that North Korea "murdered him," there's no talk about how to hold

the Communist regime accountable.

McCain only thinks about himself.

You would think John McCain would have greater sympathy for Warmbier and his family.

After all, he spent over five years in captivity as a POW in Vietnam, where his captors tortured

him.

But McCain sold his soul to the establishment long since then.

The mission of the American government should be to protect the interest of American citizens

wherever they are.

Instead, McCain is busy thinking up ways to protect the government from legal culpability.

It's amazing where his priorities lie!

Despite being one of the biggest voices of the Republican Party, John McCain is anything

but conservative.

In fact, he looks more and more like a Democrat with each passing day.

It won't be long before he announces a party switch!

McCain is one of the biggest opponents of President Trump.

He's continually fueling the Russian collusion narrative.

Despite his influence in the Senate, he does nothing to help advance major items on the

Trump agenda, i.e. health care, tax cuts, the wall.

And he's a major war-hungry neocon who loves the thought of sending our troops needlessly

into Middle Eastern wars.

I've just one minute to share my tips for creating better video on Facebook.

Are you ready? Let me set my timer.

Square video, square video. You want to break out

of this little tiny domain because square videos on facebook get 80 to

100 percent more views. And there's a cool little tool called Instasize, you

can get it on your phone and it lets you put a square background on. You can

upload a custom background as well, one of your own photos so you can brand it,

make it look cool

and you know what else? If your audience views Facebook on a

mobile, vertical video is now okay. In fact vertical video is cool, it takes over

the whole screen. Tip number two then is that 85 percent of people watch Facebook

video with the sound off. You know you do, I do too, so we need to subtitle. Luckily

it's easy, you can actually auto caption within Facebook once you've uploaded the

video. Or for a cool tool you could use Apple clips to subtitle your videos live,

while you're talking and it makes square video too so it's really cool.

again since his Finn's birthday today

his third birthday I decided to make a

mom talk again about his special birth

because that's a cool story well you

know it was my fourth child my fourth

pregnancy and I was over the date to due

date for about I think was three days so

I was over to do day for three days and

I was ready to give birth and I couldn't

stand it anymore it was hot and with

that huge belly you just want to get

that baby out everyone who was pretty

who was pregnant know knows what I'm

talking about so yeah I just wanted to

get that baby out so I drank a cocktail

it's called a contractions cocktail here

in Austria and you put some special oil

in it and some juice and you drink it

and it really cleans you out and then it

should help to start the contractions so

I did that and I did that I think at

noon I brought all the other kids to my

mom's and then at 6:00 at night I

remember that some like light cramps

started in my tummy area but nothing

really serious going on so I watched TV

TV until I think it was 11:00 and then I

decided okay that's not going anywhere

I'm just going to bed and I laid down in

my bed and I lay there for like five

minutes and then suddenly one really

hard cramp start it and then I waited

the second one came like five minutes

after and I thought maybe it starts now

after all so then I got up again and

they contractions really came on going

so I went up and I remember

took a bath and yeah then I came out of

the bath and I was walking around the

living room and suddenly my it was but

then it was like 12 o'clock suddenly my

water then broke and in Austria when

your water breaks you're supposed to lay

down and know it's dry with the car to

the hospital that's what they tell you

do not go by yourself call an ambulance

so that's what we did we called an

ambulance and it took them I don't know

about 20 minutes to get there yeah there

were like four of them I think three or

four of them I think three to two young

guys and one older woman she was not old

but she's older and because in Austria

you have to when you're done with school

you have to do a year of civil whatever

you go to military or you go to the like

the ambulance and help out there so two

of those little guys like eighteen year

old were there no like oh she's in she's

in labor what's going on with it they

were really scared but they did a good

job so then my contractions were going

on and going on and then they decided

well we don't know if we can still take

you to the hospital because yeah that

your contractions are so close to each

other so that kind of doctor

okay it was called doctor so I called a

doctor and it took the doctor about I

don't know 45 minutes to get there so it

already was like one something about 130

I think you was by when the doctor came

and was only laying down in my bedroom

and when they came when the ambulance

came that was the coolest thing they

like changed my bed in five minutes not

even five minutes maybe three minutes

into a hospital but they put put sheets

underneath me and covered everything up

so that nothing would get messy or

anything that was really cool so they

covered the whole bed up

in like three minutes is it that

impermanent so I was lying there and

then a doctor came in with another three

guys and so I had by the time I had two

three six seven people in my bedroom did

I just say living room it was my bedroom

story

so yeah in my bedroom like yeah so that

many people and I remember that just

opened my eyes once and I was like oh

who is there you know lying there

nothing on giving birth but then I close

my eyes again and well I looked at

doctor in the eye

and he was like really scared he look

like this

I don't know what's going on I never had

that before and then he said okay okay

let's pack everything up we go into the

hospital we still have time we can do

that and I felt like I had the feeling

to push so I knew it's over soon so no

time to go to the hospital

so I said no we cannot go I turned over

to Andrew and I said we can't go there's

no time coming and the doctor said no no

no we can go we can go pack everything

in and they started packing in and I

really got nervous nervous because I

didn't want to give birth like at the

hallways of our apartment building or in

the car or on the way to a car or

something like that so I said I look at

him and I screamed at him in beneath

those contractions and I said there is

no Tiny's common now and yeah by that

time I really had to push and it took me

two pushes then suddenly my mom came in

and I'm like what are you doing here so

Android called my mom he said well we

have a situation here I think she's

giving birth at home unplanned so you

want to cause she came in and and she

came in and I look at her and she just

looked at me and she said oh I can't see

the hair

so I knew it was almost over so I had

like two pushes and he was out so he was

born at home unplanned and I remembered

that my doctor like pushed him out or

pulled him out that's the word he pulled

him out and my mom undid his ability

court because he had it around his neck

so he she just undid it and then he was

out he started peeing

everyone was laughing I was like woo I

did it at home by myself no Midwife no

doctor who was any use of he didn't know

what to do or what to say or whatever um

yeah so that was then he took he said

okay stop now no more pushing nothing

else just pack yourself up they put put

pin in that you know that tin foil

blanket they have to keep you warm to

put him in that and give it to my mom

and said if they were taking you to the

hospital now and then they took me out

to the hospital we actually have a clip

of that where Andrew is following the

ambulance going in the middle of the

night to the hospital so yeah my mom was

holding thin I was lying down and

interest of the car behind the ambulance

so that was a crazy moment of my life

giving Byrne birth by myself well yeah

that was the story of since birth he was

a little our little surprise baby in

always they could be but we love you

Finn and we're happy you're here and now

you three years old and we love you loss

Back to the game: Everyone just dies to my insane array of traps

I picked spikes because this level is really short and spikes are really stronk

because nowadays, it is dificult to choose between all of them.
