Breaking Bill O'Reilly Just Proved How James Comey's Testimony Vindicated Trump - Duration: 18:41.

Breaking Bill O'Reilly Just Proved How James Comey's Testimony Vindicated Trump

Bill O'Reilly may no longer by the main anchor at Fox News, but that does not mean

that he hasn't been in the thick of things when it comes to telling the truth about the

left's continued attacks on Republican President Donald Trump.

O'Reilly just gave his first major interview since leaving Fox News, and he used it to

tell Newsmax TV's John Bachman about how former FBI director James Comey's recent

testimony to the Senate actually vindicated President Trump.

Said Bill about Comey, "I think he told the truth, that a lot of these stories [about

Trump obstructing justice] were false.

The New York Times, The Washington Post – they were lies.

But he as the FBI director couldn't go out and refute them.

His opinion is his opinion, and so he says 'well, we were really mad that the FBI was

disparaged by Donald Trump and it was a lie.'

Well, it's his opinion, and Comey's entitled to it.

But I think he testified honestly about the timeline and what happened."

Bill named three takeaways from the testimony, detailing, "Number one, Trump told the truth

when he said Comey told him three times he was not under investigation.

That's confirmed.

Number two, the investigation by the FBI has not led to anything at this point and time

that would rise to a criminal prosecution.

Number three, Russia did meddle [and] did try to create chaos in the American election."

Added O'Reilly, "After Comey's testimony, there really aren't any grounds to continue

with the hysteria against President Trump."

However, he did note areas where Trump needs to improve.

Said O'Reilly, "He made some mistakes, the president did.

Number one, he met with Comey alone.

A president can't do that.

He can't be alone with anybody.

Number two, he did say, and I believe he said it, 'Can you lighten up on Gen. Flynn?'

after Gen. Flynn was fired.

Can't do it."

Do you agree with Bill?

Comey Calls Out The "Nonsense" New York Times, Then He Goes After CNN - Duration: 18:41.

Comey Calls Out The "Nonsense" New York Times, Then He Goes After CNN

During Comey's hearing, he called out the New York Times for getting things so wrong

so often.

Sen. James Risch asked Comey about a New York Times report suggesting that the Trump campaign

colluded with Russia using electronic surveillance.

"It was not true.

… The challenge, and I'm not picking on reporters, about writing stories about classified

information is the people talking about it often don't really know what's going on,

and those of us that actually know what's going on are not talking about it," said

Comey.

"And we don't call the press to say, 'hey, you got this thing wrong about this sensitive

topic.

We just have to leave it there … nonsense.

But I can't go on explaining why it's nonsense," said Comey.

The New York Times responded with a statement.

"We are looking into James Comey's statements, and we will report back with more information

as soon as we can," said the New York Times.

Comey's testimony also contradicted a CNN report.

Before the testimony CNN wrote a report called "Comey expected to refute Trump". "Trump

has made a blanket claim that Comey told him multiple times that he was not under investigation.

But one source said Comey is expected to explain to senators that those were much more nuanced

conversations from which Trump concluded that he was not under investigation," wrtoe CNN.

However during the hearing Comey confirmed that President Trump was telling the truth.

"That was true; we did not have an open counter-intelligence case on him.

We agreed I should do so if circumstances warranted.

During our one-on-one meeting at Trump Tower, based on President Elect Trump's reaction

to the briefing and without him directly asking the question, I offered

that assurance," said Comey.

11 Stages Of Awakening Each Person Has To Go Through Before Achi - Duration: 9:00.

11 Stages Of Awakening Each Person Has To Go Through Before Achieving Enlightenment

by Conscious Reminder

Awakened souls are instinctively drawn to each other.

When they meet, its an encounter like no other, because these people are able to identify

similar frequencies in no time.

If you are an awakened person, you are well aware that its not a problem to precisely

pinpoint, even in a bigger crowd, the people who match your vibration.

Some of them have already completed their awakening process (if thats even possible),

but other are just at the dawn of their enlightenment journey.

When you notice someone who got stuck along the way of their awakening process, you might

feel compelled to help them out.

And it is a completely natural reaction, but it doesnt always mean that its the best

decision.

So be careful with it.

Sometimes people need to go through hurdles and hardship to learn crucial karmic lessons.

The following checkpoints represent steppingstones to a better and more fulfilled life.

If you went through the process of awakening, you had probably stumbled upon most, if not

all, of these, and if not they will give you insight on the things that might follow.

Dont rush yourself through them, take your time and pay close attention, because if you

skip any, it will get you right back at the starting point.

So, how does the awakening process work?

Awakening is a never-ending process, but there are common occurrences or checkpoints that

take place.

These events slowly transform a persons life.

If Youre On Your Journey of Awakening, You Have to Go Through These 11 Stages:

Stage 1: Confusion

At the start you will feel a bit lost, like a ship without a compass.

Things seem monotonous, dull and lifeless, it it confuses you.

You will be at a loss for words and afraid of moving forward in life.

Stage 2: Restlessness

You are not happy with where your life is going.

It makes you feel restless and frustrated.

All of the sudden the burning desire for change that you have been trying to keep dormant

for such a long time has exploded, giving your awakening process a momentum.

The idea that your life is your own responsibility starts to come out.

You do everything to take it back into your own hands.

You realize that your own happiness is not dependent on people or any external circumstances.

Your intention to get your power back, activates your energy, your chakras, and your soul.

Awakening has begun the moment you open your eyes.

Stage 3: Epiphany

This phase is an emotional roller coaster ride.

Life is not the same anymore.

All the colors shine a bit brighter, all the smells are stronger.

You start to experience ecstatic emotions like bliss, euphoria, and freedom.

But despite all this, pain is still present.

The emotions surrounding your past confront you.

You begin to ask how you have chosen to live your life.

You start to question and challenge everything.

Stage 4: Push and Pull

There is an onset of a tug of war.

You are in a dilemma between closing your eyes and opening it.

Fear slowly creeps within you.

All because youre not prepared for the consequences should you move forward to the

path of awakening.

The leap into the unknown is far too scary when coupled with the crumbling of things

all around you.

Everything starts to be meaningless: your life, your beliefs.

You seem to get stuck and bewildered.

You begin to notice that you are walking on shaky grounds that may explode anytime.

This is a critical moment because those who continue along this path transform, those

who dont go back to sleep.

Stage 5: Darkness

Everything around you starts to collapse, you find yourself in the dark.

But you need to be in the dark to understand more of the light.

The state of the world may disturb you: poverty, greed, and even the state of the environment.

You wonder why this happened.

The feeling of depression leads you to wonder how youre going to blend with the society.

The desire to be alone, to be with nature, and to be a hermit burn inside you.

You feel alone and lost because no one understands what youre going through.

You have nothing to cling to except to seek the answer to this question: Who Am I?

Stage 6: Connectedness

You feel that there is no need to change the world.

You may change it by changing yourself.

You slowly feel the connectedness between you and the world.

Your focus shifts to love and gratitude.

You have the urge to research and study spirituality and all things metaphysical.

You follow that urges.

Your perception of the world changes and you realize you are sent to Earth for a higher

purpose.

Stage 7: Synchronicity

You appreciate the interconnectedness of everything: nature, animals, the stars.

You feel you are a part of the universe.

As your consciousness expands, you start to see the world more deeply and more connected.

With the broadening of your intuition and psychic abilities, the equality and oneness

of all things are more plain to you.

Synchronicity starts to manifest in your life.

You realize that what shapes your reality are your thoughts, emotions, and feelings.

You slowly start to shift and change your lifestyle to support this.

Stage 8: Self Authenticity

With this new state of awareness, you feel you are one with the universe.

You get more clarity of your purpose.

The tangible things you see no longer matter to you.

You fix your focus on the greater power of energy and intention.

Your true, authentic self starts to emerge.

This authentic self is what walks you towards your higher purpose.

And your higher purpose is to share your authentic self with the world.

Stage 9: Higher Consciousness

When you find your alignment with your true, authentic self, ideas begin to fill your mind

drastically.

You attract abundance through your ideas and creations.

Inspiration takes place.

You begin to see your destiny more clearly as things start to unfold.

Your life starts to transform.

Your experiences and the people around you reflect your state of higher consciousness.

The challenges along the way no longer baffle you because you are fully equipped emotionally

and spiritually.

Stage 10: Co-creation

As you continue your journey, you realize that you co-create with the Divine.

Things get better, bigger, and have more flow when you surrender and work with the Divine.

You feel the guidance while you create alongside with the Source energy.

You feel a stronger connection with your spirit guides, guardian angels, or your higher self.

Your intuition is getting a lot stronger and you even develop some psychic gifts.

Stage 11: Unconditional Love

You start to be in alignment with unconditional love as your work alongside the Divine progress.

You feel you are love, radiate love and feel love.

It becomes clear to you that this life is temporary.

And it is given to you to experience and enjoy.

In the end you come to realize that the whole process of awakening is for your greater good.

If these checkpoints resonated with you, you are walking the path

of awakening.

How to Enhance Video for SEO Part 2 of 3 | Funnelbox Video Marketing - Duration: 1:35.

Video is a key component in the digital marketing game.

But just slapping a video on a website and calling it good won't be enough to send

your website to the top of the search results.

This is the second video in our three-part series on enhancing SEO for video marketing.

Users usually aren't willing to sift through a sea of mistagged videos or mountains of

irrelevant video content.

Categorizing your content and using tags wisely provides a pleasant user experience and keeps

those viewers on your site longer.

This also tells Google and other search engines that people find your content on your website

valuable.

The previous tip assumes your potential viewer was able to find at least a single video.

If you fail to add the information about your video to your site map, chances are your audience

won't be able to find it organic.

Site maps tell search engine robots what your video is about, so they can effectively crawl

your website.

Metadata summarizes other data for the purposes of search.

It should be used for all content, but can prove especially beneficial with video.

Including keyword rich information about your content ensures you are manually inputting

the data rather than relying on what is automatically collected and uploaded with the video.

Resistance Maricopa: Karyna Jaramillo - Duration: 4:30.

In truth, I have lived

these experiences,

and this is why I'm a part of the organization

because, I've been one of the people

that has lived through the process.

Who is Karyna as an individual?

I'm a trans woman,

Basically, here in Arizona,

Our work,

as a community, LGBT, at Trans Queer Pueblo,

more than only dedicating our efforts to people in and outside of detention,

we're also building leadership

which is pretty big,

which almost none of the other organizations do.

ICE, along with the police,

who we call the "polimigra"

...work ... they're...

private sites, where they earn a salary

to fill up the empty places.

So to receive their pay,

they have to keep these places full.

Yes, I think us, as an organization,

What we're trying to do is invite the other organizations,

to open their spaces to us, so we can talk to them about who we are.

Our ideas as an organization, LGBT, immigrants of color,

is to take to them: our message, take our projects,

our needs, and what we want to do.

I don't see security anywhere,

for us (male and female)

so, that has been depressing for me.

Also, a huge obstacle, is that the police don't respect me as a woman.

They don't respect your appearance, they want to see...

...we know that a penis or vagina doesn't determine your gender identity,

or sexuality, so once they see your ID,

they immediately begin to offend you.

Their words hurt, they don't respect that I am Karyna,

and insist in calling me by the name,

the ID says, the legal document says.

so they insist in calling me that name

"Why are you like that? or "why do you say you're a woman,

If it says here you're a man"

So these are strenuous situations, because these things,

aren't done to you in private, they do them publicly,

in jail, in front of many men

at the detention center as well.

These experiences are psychologically traumatic, of many kinds,

that Karyna has had to experience,

awful processes, where I've had to go to psychologists, psychiatrists,

and with many things I've had to go through in my life

to be a little more calm,

but the obstacles are too many.

I think it's always been a revolution.

Arizona is one of the most criminalized states,

where laws begin,

and right now,

the LGBT community has always been mistreated,

but in the last few years we've seen

how as trans women, we've become a focus.

There's a gathering law where,

I have many risks as a woman.

If I wear shorts like this,

and I'm on certain streets, it signals that I'm a prostitute.

But its important to remember, when we don't have a job,

we don't have Social Security,

we don't have an opportunity to work,

then we basically need to live.

We know Trans Latina exists,

we know there are legal organizations that can help us,

and we're trying to create those bonds,

to become strong, to have support everywhere,

that we will definitely use.

Paris Is Out, And So Is Coal: VICE News Tonight Full Episode (HBO) - Duration: 24:25.

Tonight:

— So, we're getting out!

— The U.S. Embassy in Israel is staying in Tel Aviv…

...for now.

President Trump signed a waiver to delay moving the embassy to Jerusalem,

which he promised to do during the campaign.

The White House says the embassy will move eventually,

and the delay is only to help negotiate a peace deal between the Israelis and Palestinians—

which hinges, in large part, on the status of Jerusalem.

The Dakota Access Pipeline began shipping oil between North Dakota and Illinois for the first time today.

President Trump green-lit the project during his first week in office,

after months-long protests by Native American groups and environmental activists.

Citing concerns about water contamination,

four tribes are still fighting in court to shut down the pipeline,

which has already leaked at least twice.

The company behind the project, Energy Transfer Partners,

says Dakota Access is, quote, "one of the safest pipelines ever built,"

and does not threaten Standing Rock's water supply.

At an economic forum, President Vladimir Putin

said that private Russian citizens, though not the government,

could have been responsible for cyberattacks on the American election system.

— But a report from the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security last December

outlined in extensive detail

how the Russian government works with civilian hacker groups to undermine foreign elections.

The Philippine government says 10 soldiers were killed in, quote, "friendly fire,"

during airstrikes that were targeting ISIS-linked militants in Marawi.

The military is in its eleventh day of its offensive against the rebels,

and President Rodrigo Duterte has declared martial law.

At least 19 civilians, 39 troops and 120 rebels have been killed.

Federal safety inspectors issued citations to Wisconsin's Didion Milling Plant back in 2011—

six years before an explosion at the corn mill killed at least one worker on Wednesday night.

OSHA inspectors flagged that workers were being exposed to fire and explosion hazards.

The plant paid a fine of $3,500 and promised to correct the problem.

The case was closed in 2013.

— Thus, as of today,

the United States will cease all implementation of the nonbinding Paris Accord

and the draconian financial and economic burdens the agreement imposes on our country.

— And with that,

Donald Trump pulled the United States out

of the most comprehensive climate deal in the history of the planet—

and the best hope of limiting continued global warming.

Trump spent most of his 28-minute Rose Garden speech talking about economics:

— The Paris Climate Accord is simply the latest example

of Washington entering into an agreement that disadvantages the United States

to the exclusive benefit of other countries,

leaving American workers, who I love, and taxpayers to absorb the cost.

— But when he did talk about the Paris Agreement,

he was almost entirely wrong:

— Even if the Paris Agreement were implemented in full,

with total compliance from all nations,

it is estimated it would only produce a two-tenths of one degree—

think of that.

This much.

— Actually, the Paris Climate Agreement wasn't going to reduce global temperatures at all.

The goal was always to cap the rise in global warming at 2°C—

and even that goal meant coming to terms with a future in which tidal areas disappear,

climate refugees are a daily part of life,

and food and water scarcity could lead to greater violence between people and countries.

Paris was hardly optimistic.

— India will be able to double its coal production by 2020.

Think of it—India can double their coal production,

we're supposed to get rid of ours…

— Actually, India has canceled plans to build nearly 14 gigawatts of coal-fired power stations.

Claims of China getting a "better deal" are just as baseless, but that's not even the point.

Part of the reason 194 other parties signed on to the Paris Agreement

is that it doesn't actually require any of them to do anything specific.

They each got to pick their own path to reaching their commitments.

So if the United States wanted to, for example,

double coal output and quadruple solar,

it could do that.

It would break the pledge,

but there are no consequences for breaking it.

The entire agreement is a giant global pinky promise

in which everybody tries to do the right thing for the planet.

— As the Wall Street Journal wrote this morning,

the reality is that withdrawing is in America's economic interest

and won't matter much to the climate.

— The numbers are pretty simple.

If the U.S. doesn't drastically reduce its current carbon output,

it'll be responsible for an additional 0.3°C of global warming by 2100.

And it's not like other countries could simply pull more weight.

According to a study in Nature Climate Change,

any delay from the United States makes the overall target of limiting warming to 2° unreachable.

You can say it was a jobs speech.

You can say it was a brilliant tactical speech

that will allow Trump to re-negotiate for terms that benefit Americans—

and some Trump supporters will say that.

What you can't say is that Trump's speech was fluent

in the facts of the very agreement he's pulling out of.

— The United States pulling out of the agreement won't stop it from going forward.

At least three world leaders have already come out to reject the idea of renegotiating Paris.

And speaking alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel this morning,

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang affirmed his country's commitment to the agreement.

It was a powerful visualization of how Trump's "America First" agenda

is bringing America's competitors closer to each other.

And for the Americans who helped hammer out the deal,

it's a gut punch.

Todd Stern served as Special Envoy for Climate Change during the Obama administration.

Evan McMorris-Santoro spoke to him earlier today.

— I mean, I guess my question is aren't you just kinda… bummed out?

— Well, I'm not happy.

But I…

I guess two things: first of all, I don't think it's the end of the Paris Agreement,

I really don't.

I noted what Trump said during the campaign,

which was, "I'm going to cancel the Paris Agreement,"

and I wrote a short piece saying you're actually not going to cancel the Paris Agreement,

because you don't have the power to cancel the Paris Agreement—

even assuming you win this election,

because there's 195 countries, and it's not going to fall apart.

It's really bad for United States to pull out, don't get me wrong,

but the Paris Agreement is gonna survive.

— Is it doable without the United States federal government involved?

— It's doable without the United States federal government involved for a few years.

— Okay.

— I mean, in the short run, this is not going to kill us,

but it's certainly gonna be unhelpful.

We are making changes,

but we aren't making them fast enough.

I mean, the game here is to accelerate the pace.

It's absolutely not helpful to have the U.S. federal government kinda taking a walk on this.

— A lot of Trump's voters and Trump's supporters are skeptical of this agreement.

It's a very partisan issue in this country.

Do you feel like people who advocate for climate change are doing something wrong?

— Part of this has to do with messengers as well as message,

treating people as though they're ignorant when they have reservations about climate change,

or aren't sure about it,

and just say, you know, "The debate's over, what's the matter with you?"

It's sort-of like, what's with you?

I mean, when that's what's radiating out from an interlocutor,

you're not going to win anybody over.

— What does that say to you that China is staying in this thing?

— It says to me that China knows this is a big, big deal and it's not going to go away.

And I think all countries know that, again,

what is the undeniable fact that you can't wish away?

Climate change.

You can't wish away climate change.

They don't want us out, but they're going to take advantage of

the extra leadership role that they're gonna have, and that people are gonna look at them for.

And I think China's gonna step up, China's gonna plant a leadership role.

But people want the United States to be in the game.

And they want the United States to be in the game

the way they understand the United States, historically, to be in the game—

as a country that cares about its reputation and its standing,

that acts with honor, and is, you know,

as Madeleine Albright said, "the indispensable nation."

That's what the United States has been.

That's what we're squandering right now.

That's what the president and his team have decided they don't care about.

— What's motivating the administration to pull out of the Paris Agreement

is the potential to keep a major campaign promise:

bringing jobs back to coal country.

But the demand for coal is already drying up.

Next week, the last coal plant in New England will close down.

And in the Trump stronghold of Adams County, Ohio,

two more are on the way out.

— Jobs will be lost when two power plants close next year in Adams County.

— Adams County leaders have some tough choices to make in the coming months

because of a potential loss of $8-million in tax revenue.

It's all because of the announced closing

of the Killen and Stewart electric generating power stations along the Ohio River...

— Every day I get up around 5 o'clock.

Get myself ready for work.

I work at the Dayton Power and Light Killen station.

I've been there pretty much my whole entire adult life.

I started up there right after I turned 21-years-old.

My job's paperwork, computer work, unloading trucks, forklift.

Amen.

The power plant's pretty much all I know.

I'm 56-years-old and I'm going to lose my job here in around 14 months.

And I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.

It's just so scary to think about having to go to another job—

I mean, no disrespect to McDonald's,

because I'll work at McDonalds if that's what it takes to get health insurance.

But I don't know how I'll be with the public after working in such a closed setting,

in a man's world.

It's gonna be a lot different for me.

It scares me to think of what's going to happen to the communities,

because Dayton Power and Light is the biggest workforce in the community.

— Hello, how are ya?

— Thank you, ma'am. — You're welcome.

— Have a nice day. — You too.

— Alright, good seeing you.

You take care.

— Alright, have a good day.

— We have recently learned that DP&L has elected to exit Adam's County,

and we're quite fearful on what this will mean to our local economy.

Dayton Power and Light has two coal-fired plants,

right here on the Ohio River.

The 700 jobs to a small community of 28,000 people is significant.

What it means to Adams County is,

we are estimating about $35-million in salaries.

They also pay $9-million in property taxes to our local county.

Once that leaves, that will represent about 30% of the total property tax budget in Adams County.

They're really pulling out of $50-million out of this local economy.

— Everyone is trying their best to overcome the catastrophe that's headed our way.

So I'm hoping and praying that

the powers-that-be in Columbus will sympathize with us.

We can do all we can do down here, but we really need their help in this.

We may be just a small drop in a big bucket,

but we're still somebody.

I didn't vote for Hillary or for Donald Trump.

I voted for God.

I wrote God in, because I figured He's the only one that's going to be able to save us.

— We have about 935 students, pre-K through 12.

When the plants close, we would lose about

$5.5-million out of what was an $11-million budget.

So, if we lose 50% of our funding stream,

we're simply insolvent.

When you lose that percentage of your revenue, you're just simply dead in the water.

You can't make enough cuts or adjustments to run on that kind of a budget

and still maintain the minimum standards that we are supposed to maintain for our boys and girls.

— This is Stuart station.

I've worked here about 14 years.

I'm a power plant operator chemist, that's my job title.

I take care of the water quality here at the plant.

Right now, I mean, there's a lot of unknown in the community and there's a lot of worry.

I've got a fourth grader that comes home,

and that's what the kids are talking about at school,

is, "Dad, they're going to shut down the plant, what are we going to do?"

If the school loses all of funding, loses the the arts, the music, the athletics,

there's already talks of teachers being laid off, after-school programs being cut.

Looking at my kids and what's best for them, I probably need to leave the community.

How's school?

— Good!

— And nobody wants to—I mean, this is home.

Nobody wants to leave home, so.

A lot of people thought, with Donald Trump's presidency, that they would save coal,

coal plants were going to be saved.

I don't know that, you know, who's our president mattered one way or the other...

— We've reached out to Trump through letters, Twitter, those types of things.

And Trump has never responded in any way.

We were told, when they announced that the plant was closing,

that Trump couldn't save us.

So I don't believe he can.

I believe it's too far gone.

For me, I don't know what's going to happen.

I don't know if I'll get to keep my house.

My children have offered me a place to live, but...

you know, I've worked for this.

And I want to retire in my home.

So, I'm afraid.

I'm afraid and I'm sad at the same time.

— The looming general election in the U.K.,

now just seven days away,

was supposed to be a romp for the Tories.

It might not turn out that way.

Polls show the race narrowing much more than Prime Minister Theresa May anticipated.

And she's got no one to blame but herself.

— One thing you can say about this election:

the post-mortems are going to be fun.

What they'll chiefly be investigating is how a previously invulnerable politician

screwed things up.

The whole reason Theresa May called this election

was because she was so certain she was going to smash it.

So, what happened?

Well, put simply, May's campaign was going to plan,

until she showed her plans for running the country.

After a trouble-free month, she published her manifesto—

at the heart of which was a scheme to make elderly people needing care pay for it with their own homes.

What was swiftly called a "dementia tax" caused uproar,

not least among wealthy retirees,

who just happen to be the people most likely to vote Conservative.

The impact was immediate,

not so much a policy as a piece of self-harm,

and within days, May had dumped it:

— Isn't this u-turn really just a cynical attempt

to stop voters leaving you in droves?

— Look.

First of all, let's be clear:

we have not changed the principles that we've set out in the manifesto.

— Neither her polling nor her standing has recovered.

These unforced errors have been made against Labour's Jeremy Corbyn,

a leader who's the king of the unforced error.

— How much will it cost to provide un-means tested child care for 1.3-million children?

— Um… it will cost, um…

— It's quite troubling.T

this is a policy that you're launching today, Mr. Corbyn,

and you don't know how much it's going to cost.

— Adjust the polls for who's actually going to bother voting,

and May will still wake up on June the 9th as Prime Minister.

Whereas for the people around Corbyn,

the key question is whether Labour's losses

will be respectable enough for them to stave off yet another leadership challenge.

But she's fumbled an easy election—

and exposed one of her chief weaknesses.

May scores when she promises to deliver Brexit,

a policy she opposed but which was imposed on her by the public.

Her own policies have been her undoing:

May campaigns as a leader,

while only winning by promising to do what she's been told.

— Today, more than a hundred of the world's most powerful businessmen, financiers and politicians

assembled in Chantilly, Virginia for the annual Bilderberg meeting.

Bilderberg is a sinister conspiracy of the global elite,

designed to amplify the power of big business

and to create a "new world order" that will replace national democracies with one world government.

Indeed, since the Bilderberg meetings started in 1954,

the cabal has, among other things,

concocted a secret plan to use American and British intelligence agencies

to topple the Shah of Iran and replace him with the Ayatollah Khomeini;

orchestrated the U.S. invasion of Iraq;

handpicked Barack Obama to be the President of the United States;

and…

arranged for extraterrestrials to be given an island in French Polynesia,

from which they could monitor the behavior of earthlings.

But… only according to the internet.

In reality, Bilderberg is a three-day conference

where powerful people meet to stroke other powerful people.

It's like Davos—just more opaque.

No record of the proceedings has ever been made public,

which is just part of the reason it's a favorite target of conspiracy theorists—

including Alex Jones.

The belief that Bilderberg is full of puppet masters is far too flattering.

In the years since the last conference was held,

at the Taschenbergpalais in Dresden, Germany,

the U.S. elected the ultimate anti-globalization president,

and the U.K. voted to leave the European Union.

It's almost like Bilderberg has no power at all…

...or maybe that's just what they want us to think.

— Hi, we're Beach Fossils.

Hello.

It's just one of those songs that,

as soon as it started coming together,

it just felt really right.

When we sit down to write a song, usually,

I just like to start on bass because I feel like that's a good foundation for the song in general,

it's just a really good backbone.

We would come up with, like, a riff or something that works,

and then, you know, one of us would be like, "Oh, I hear what the guitar could be doing here."

— So the beat for "St. Ivy," I guess, you were playing in the studio.

— Yeah, yeah.

— And it goes like, it's like...

— The whole time in the studio, like,

when we were trying to get the drum sounds,

we were referencing, like, you know, D.J. Shadow and, like, Wu-Tang.

Yeah, so we were just trying to, like, mic the drums, or record the drums,

to sound the same way they did on those old records.

We booked, like, a trio in L.A.,

like, the night before we were going into the studio.

And they started playing it, and I literally started crying,

because it worked, and it sounded so good.

I was like, I can't believe we actually pulled this off.

This guy who played flute, he just came in for like an hour or less.

And we were like, "Just go crazy."

— We ended up kind-of, like, chopping it up,

the way you kinda would chop up, like, a sampled drum beat or something.

We would take, like, a piece from this run that he did on it,

and then put it into, like, a different piece and just kind-of chop that up together and…

Yeah, it turned out pretty cool.

— We were just playing what we like, and what we were listening to, you know?

— It was just a byproduct of us collaborating, this is what the sound was.

I think that's what come out.

— That's VICE News Tonight for Thursday, June 1st.

Tune in tomorrow night for the award-winning documentary series VICE.

— How much longer do you think you'll be fighting for?

— Have you ever killed someone?

BREAKING: Syrian Army Has Reached the Iraqi Border, Cutting off the Americans at al-Tanf - Duration: 19:58.

Good afternoon!

Today the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian force grouping in the Syrian Arab Republic Colonel General Sergei Surovikin is participating in briefing.

The Russian Federation continues to provide help to the Syrian population in fighting ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist groupings and taking steps to resolution of the conflict.

Thus the main efforts are focused on ensuring the cessation of hostilities in Syria.

Thanks to purposeful activity of the Russian Center for reconciliation of opposing sides

today 1,571 agreements on ceasefire have been signed the representatives of the inhabited areas.

Moreover, the number of armed formations, which had claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, is 219.

The situation has dramatically improved after signing of the Memorandum on the establishment of the de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic on May 4 in Astana.

The civil war in Syria has actually stopped.

In addition, the establishment of the Memorandum allowed to begin work on rebuilding war-torn inhabited areas.

Civilians began to return to liberated cities and towns.

Households of ordinary citizens, power supply facilities, transport hubs and roads are restored, channels for irrigation of agricultural land are filling with water.

Schools are being repaired in order to the maximum number of children could continue the learning process.

Humanitarian access to the inhabited areas located in zones of de-escalation has been renewed.

During last month 14 humanitarian convoys have been sent by the international organizations, which greatly improved the situation of the population.

After the opening of a humanitarian corridor to al-Wafidin, organized with the participation of the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides,

humanitarian assistance from UN and International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Eastern Ghouta have started.

It is possible to reduce the prices of basic foodstuffs in the suburb of Damascus for 30-60 percent.

Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides conducted 169 humanitarian actions

in which the population received 17 tons of food, over ten and a half thousand Syrians received medical treatment.

Humanitarian demining in the areas liberated from the militants is provided.

June 2 at the Russian branch of the International anti-mine center in Aleppo was held another graduation of students.

92 Syrian sappers were sent to demine the city of Maskana and other inhabited areas in the Eastern parts of the provinces of Aleppo and Homs, recently liberated from the jihadists.

In accordance with the Memorandum the Joint working group on de-escalation has been formed and which is actively functioning.

Three meetings have been held. The map that shows areas of de-escalation and the security zones has been developed.

The draft guideline of the Joint working group has been prepared.

At the fifth International meeting on Syria in the framework of the Astana format it is expected to approve the main documents regulating the border and the procedure of control

over observation of the cessation of hostilities in the areas of de-escalation.

In order to avoid losses among the civilian population,

the operation of the withdrawal of the militants and their families from the suburbs of Damascus and Homs was carried out,

held with the participation of servicemen of the Russian Center for reconciliation of opposing sides.

Within this operation 1853 militants and 5012 members of their families have been exported from the suburbs of the Syrian Capital Bursa and Kabun in the province of Idlib.

Currently, engineers are working in these inhabited areas, checking buildings on the presence of explosive devices left militants.

Restoration of vital infrastructure and social infrastructure is held. Citizens of these areas return to civilian life.

Two-month operation for withdrawing members of illegal armed groups from al-Vaer in the suburb of Homs, is finished.

According to the agreements reached in the inhabited area Jerablus in the province of Aleppo and the city of Idlib 19,653 people, including 6,964 militants have been exported.

After the withdrawal of the militants in al-Warp, about 8 thousand civilians have returned back.

In addition, in the Northern part of the province of Damascus in the cities of Zabadani, Madaya and Bukan 2,640 former militants have settled their status, taking advantage of the Amnesty Ordinance.

The success of the political settlement of the Syrian conflict, including the creation of four zones of de-escalation,

reducing the number of violations of the cease-fire regime allowed the grouping of troops in the Syrian Arab Republic to focus on elimination of ISIS forces in the Eastern part of the country.

With the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces major successes achieved in almost all areas.

I want to note that the government forces with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces are not fighting against the Syrian opposition.

They are consistently reaching the main target – destruction of ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and their affiliated terrorist groups.

At the same time, we do not see significant results of the fight against ISIS by coalition led by the United States.

Declaring the purpose of the fight against international terrorism, the coalition strikes on Syrian troops,

freely produces ISIS militants from areas of the encirclement, strengthening terrorist groups in the areas of Palmyra and Der ez-Zor.

I want to ask why are they doing this and what real purpose they serve?

Now we see that the coalition's actions only prevent the elimination of groups of ISIS by government forces.

We expect that our coalition partners would take measures to prevent such incidents and will be engaged in the fight against terrorist groups ISIS in Syria.

About the results of operations for the liberation of the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic conducted by government forces, will report Colonel General Surovikin.

Hello!

In the last month, government troops and militia units are developing success in the North-East of the province of Aleppo, Palmyra, the Eastern Qalamoun and in the South of Syria,

they are moving along the Syrian-Jordanian border and the border with Iraq.

As a result, a large group of ISIS was defeated, while the enemy suffered significant losses in manpower and hardware.

During the month 109 inhabited areas and 3,922 square kilometers of territory have been liberated from the militants.

During this time, the Russian Aerospace Force aircraft performed 1,268 sorties, and destroyed 3,200 terrorist targets, including command posts, weapons depots and ammunition supply bases and training camps of militants.

In the North-East Aleppo province, the offensive along the Western Bank of the Euphrates river is rapidly developing.

Units of the Syrian armed forces and militia units knocked the ISIL militants out of the main cities such as Maccana, Ratman, Shatha and approached the city of al-Tabka.

A control over the Giro strategic important airport was taken.

The attack rate of government forces increased to 8 kilometers per day.

In total 83 settlements and more than 500 square kilometers of territory have been liberated from terrorists.

3,000 ISIS militants, including a few dozens of commanders, as well as more than 20 tanks, 7 infantry fighting vehicles, and 9 artillery guns of large caliber have been destroyed.

The command staff of the Russian force grouping in the Syrian Arab Republic closely monitore the situation in the area of Raqqa,

where we have seen how the militants freely leave the city and its suburbs.

According to reports, in early June, ISIS terrorists in the agreement with the command of Kurdish troops (members of the "Union of democratic forces")

left the inhabited areas al-Tad'ah, al-Hammam without resistance, located 19 km southwest of Raqqa and moved in the direction of PALMYRA.

Instead of eliminating terrorists responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Syrian citizens,

the coalition led by the United States, along with the controlled "Union of democratic forces"

collude with the leaders of ISIS who without a fight live occupied inhabited and move to those provinces where the Syrian government forces are operating.

It seems that the American party uses the ISIS to prevent the government troops from advancement under the cover of fighting against terrorism.

At the same time, certain western media agencies misinform the world community talking about harsh combat actions with the ISIS insurgents in the Raqqa province.

All the attempts of the ISIS terrorists to pass through the corridor located in the south of Raqqa are timely detected and suppressed by the reconnaissance means of the Russian Command in Syria.

On May 25, the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces eliminated a terrorists' column heading towards Palmyra.

At night, on May 29-30, another attempt of ISIS insurgents' column to leave Raqqa was stopped.

As a result, 80 terrorists, 36 vehicles, 8 fuel tanker trucks and 17 pickups with heavy armament were eliminated.

Other minor ISIS groups managed to escape and hide in well-prepared transshipment bases and caves in the Hama and Homs provinces, discovered by reconnaissance means.

They were engaged on May 30 by the Admiral Essen frigate and the Krasnodar submarine from the eastern part of the Mediterranean by means of Kalibr cruise missiles.

According to the objective monitoring data, all the assigned targets were hit.

Near Palmyra, the government troops and militia detachments successfully conducted offensive actions against ISIS groups in the north-west, east and south-east directions

pushing them out of commanding heights and expanding the security zones around the strategic highway Damascus – Palmyra and the Tifor airfield.

In the course of the combats, terrorists were dislodged from the gas field "Shaer" that caused serious damage to their economic potential depriving them from income through illegal hydrocarbon extraction.

The Syrian Army has taken hold of 3 cities and 66 important heights near Palmyra.

The government troops have approached the Araq town,

the capture of which will create conditions for further offensive towards Es-Soukhne and Deir ez-Zor.

The situation to the south-east of Palmyra has been considerably improved. The government troops have defeated the large ISIS groups to the south-west of al-Basiri.

3,200 sq. km of territory as well as 20 inhabited areas including Mkhasse, al-Basiri and al-Barda have been liberated from terrorists.

The phosphate fields have been put under control.

The offensive towards Abu-Kemal is developing successfully. The advancement constitutes 184 km.

The government troops have mopped up the al-Buda town and reached the Syrian-Iraqi border, which is 40 km to the south.

In cooperation with the Russian Centre for reconciliation of the opposing sides, the detachments of the Free Syrian Army acting to the north-east of the Dumeira town are conducting ceasefire negotiations with the authorities.

The positions of the government troops in the southern part of the Es-Suweida province have been improved.

The Syrian Armed Forces have managed to capture a number of strategic heights and communications in this region,

depriving terrorists from free transportation of reserves and cargoes in the south of the country.

However, in the course of the offensive, the government troops faced resistance of the aviation of the international US-led coalition.

The American party has put forward a groundless ultimatum not to approach the positions of the so-called New Syrian army.

They say that the government troops constitute a treat to the American bases and camps used for training of opposition combatants in the south of Syria.

As a result, the coalition aviation and combatants' checkpoints of the New Syrian army have blocked the way for the government troops,

which are defeating the ISIS groupings and carry out the control using frontier outposts along the border with Iraq to the north-east of al-Tanfa to Abu-Kemal.

This is the breach of the sovereign right of the Syrian Arab Republic to defend its borders.

The representatives of the US military command explain that government troops constitute danger for them.

There is no explanation what kind of danger is meant and where its source is.

It looks like not the ISIS terrorists, but the government troops are dangerous for the coalition.

Meanwhile the Russian command in Syria takes every effort for reconciliation of the opposing sides and providing security for the Syrian military groupings.

Despite this resistance, in the course of the offensive of the Syrian Army and the militia detachments against the ISIS positions,

they have re-taken control over 105 km of the Syrian-Jordan border.

9 frontier outposts have been installed.

Twenty-two towns have signed reconciliation agreements that means the successful termination of reconciliation process with the Druzes and the bedouin tribes.

The actions of the government troops aimed at recovering control over the Syrian-Jordan and Syrian-Iraq borders are continued.

It is to be highlighted that the Russian servicemen jointly with the Syrian government troops are taking every effort for recovering peace on the Syrian land

avoiding unnecessary violence and saving people's lives.

Along with that, any terrorists' attempts to disturb the peacemaking process will be severely suppressed.

The counterterrorist operation on the territory of Syrian Arab Republic will be continued until the complete elimination of the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra groupings.

Thank you.

The Ending Of The Dark Knight Trilogy Explained - Duration: 5:50.

Christopher Nolan's epic Batman series ended on a somewhat confusing note.

Batman was essentially dead, Bruce Wayne retired in Italy, and all the villains met a slow,

dramatic end.

But every resolution seemed to bring yet another cliffhanger.

So what exactly happened with the finale of The Dark Knight Rises?

Here's an explanation of what really went down in the ending of Nolan's Batman series,

and what it meant — and still could mean — for the future.

Blast survivor

During the climax of the movie, Batman scoops up the bomb threatening Gotham with his Batpod

and shoots off toward the ocean as fast as he can, where it eventually explodes at a

safe distance from the city.

The now-dead Batman is finally hailed as the hometown hero he was all along, and Alfred

heads to Florence, likely holding onto a sliver of hope that he'll find Bruce Wayne living

a new life as a quiet family man — just as he'd described at the beginning of the

film:

"I had this fantasy.

That I'd look across the tables, and I'd see you there.

With a wife."

Of course, Alfred does spot Bruce lunching with Selina Kyle in a pitch-perfect resolution

that, well, seems almost too good to be true.

And for many viewers, it was.

Some fans interpreted this as another instance of Christopher Nolan spinning top-style trickery.

They saw the scene of Wayne's perfect retirement as a part of Alfred's imagination.

But Christian Bale says what we saw was what we got.

"My personal opinion is no, it was not a dream, that that was for real."

The fact that Lucius Fox later discovers that the autopilot function on the Bat had been

restored by Bruce himself certainly lent some credence to Alfred's vision, too.

The light knight rises

If Batman was the Dark Knight, then Officer John Blake as the franchise's Robin is certainly

a lighter shade of justice.

"You should use your full name.

I like that name.

Robin."

"Thanks."

The orphan boy-turned-honest cop was a champion of kids in need, and helped reconnect Wayne

Enterprises with the orphanage he'd grown up in.

He's also the perfect person to take over and become the city's newest masked hero in

Batman's stead, a future that was heavily hinted at when he found the Batcave at the

end of the film.

We don't get to see what his crime-fighting style might be like, but based on his do-gooder

attitude throughout the collapse of the city, Blake could be an optimistic successor to

Wayne's tenure as Gotham's resident hero.

So the movie's closing moments, where Blake gets the keys to the cave asks the obvious

question…

Room for a sequel?

It's been several years since The Dark Knight Rises closed out Nolan's Batman trilogy.

But the ending to the film definitely left the door open to more exploration of his grim

vision of Gotham City.

With Blake taking over the Batcave and plenty of villains from the comics waiting for their

turn on-screen, there's a ton of material to make this film series a quadrilogy or even

larger.

Unfortunately, the would-be star of such a sequel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, has cast doubt

on the idea of Nolan's series ever getting a fourth installment.

He told Cinema Blend:

"I think Nolan very much thought of that movie as a conclusion, and there's a theme that

runs through all three of those movies that begins in the first movie, runs through the

second movie and it concludes in that moment where he says that Batman is more than a man,

Batman is a symbol.

And so to have another man other than Bruce Wayne kind of becoming Batman at the end of

that trilogy, I think that's the perfect ending to that story."

But still!

Even if Nolan and Gordon-Levitt aren't interested in returning to the material, another filmmaker

could, in theory, pick up where Nolan's series left off somewhere down the line.

After all, Bryan Singer's Superman Returns was a sequel to Superman II...26 years later

— and Singer just straight up ignored Superman III and IV.

So never say never.

Setting a tone

Before the Dark Knight, the Campiness of 1997's Batman and Robin derailed the Caped Crusader's

movie bankability.

"Hi Freeze.

I'm Batman."

But the end of Nolan's series signified a major tonal shift, giving us a much more serious

and dramatic style than the previous set of Batman films.

"I'm Batman."

That new, more grounded view of DC's comic book characters would become something of

an inadvertent standard for the DC Expanded Universe films to follow.

Just look at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's grim, gritty vision of Batman.

The same dark tone colored the palettes of Henry Cavill's Superman, and Justice League

looks like it's heading in the same direction.

And that's not the only precedent Nolan's films set for the Batworld, either.

The standalone series

Everyone knows that shared comic movie universes are all the rage right now.

After all, there's a lot of money to be made by dangling one piece of the shared universe

as a must-see for the eventual superhero smash film that's coming soon from each studio.

Even Harry Potter has gotten in on the sequel-prequel spinoff game.

But The Dark Knight films proved that an endless extension of a beloved property isn't always

necessary to rake in the big bucks and earn respect at the same time.

While sequel hopes might always loom over Nolan's trilogy, it currently stands alone

as its own three-part series that earned a lot of respect from critics and had audiences

forking over their cash at the same time.

It's hard to imagine what might've become of the series if Nolan had allowed Warner

Bros. to spin the franchise out into a shared universe of its own.

But the fact is that he didn't, and his movies still accomplished everything they meant to.

Hopefully future filmmakers will look back his trilogy — and its standalone ending

— as the perfect way to handle high profile properties for the next generation...
